It’s Wednesday, and that means Pat Kreitlow of UpNorthNews Radio is here! At the beginning of the show, Todd brings us the latest updates on Monday’s shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison. Investigations on the shooter’s family suggest a broken home life, but as Pat reminds us, there are broken homes and strained relationships all around the world. What other countries don’t have is America’s wide access to firearms.

At the bottom of the hour, we are joined by Shawn Phetteplace, the Campaigns Director of Main Street Alliance! He tells us all about Main Street Alliance and how it differs from other organizations like Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce. While WMC primarily supports larger companies, MSA seeks to prop up a more diverse range of small businesses. They are part of what makes Wisconsin great. 

Wisconsin is one of only ten states that haven’t accepted new federal funding to expand Medicaid over the last ten years. One of MSA’s current objectives is to help convince our state government to do the right thing and support Badgercare. This directly hurts small business owners and employees in our state.
