As always on Wednesday, Pat Kreitlow of UpNorthNews Radio and Trygve Olson of The Lincoln Project join us to analyze the latest news. As is often the case, the hottest topic of MAGA mouthpieces is illegal immigration. Pat catches us up on the Wisconsin GOP’s efforts to make it illegal for undocumented folks to vote. This is already not legal, and detailed investigations have found all of three individuals that voted illegally in this manner. We’re so glad that our representatives are spending taxpayer dollars on resolving this “rampant” fraud. NOT. 

During this discussion, Todd takes a moment to recognize the struggles of Rick Smith, host of The Rick Smith Show. Rick’s wife was recently severely injured in a motorcycle accident, and there is a GoFundMe set up to help the Smith family. If it is within your means, please consider donating. 

Afterwards, a caller asks us why so many working-class people are willing to support MAGA and vote against their own interests. From his work abroad fighting autocracy, Trygve Olson has some unique insight on how people buy in to these extreme ideologies.
