We are in the dog days of summer, so Todd kicks off today’s show with more warnings to stay safe in the hot weather. Stay cool and hydrated as best you can! These conditions are also prime for developing severe storms, so keep an eye on your favorite weather service as you make plans over the next week or so. 

We have an exciting announcement! Dan Shafer, The Recombobulation Area’s founder and veteran Milwaukee journalist, is joining Civic Media as Political Editor.  Dan will continue to edit and write for the popular Wisconsin and Milwaukee political news publication, while also helping shape the voice of Civic Media’s political coverage.

Civic Media is pleased to announce the addition of The Recombobulation Area to its growing Wisconsin media network, the first non-radio acquisition since its founding in 2022.

At the bottom of the hour, Luke Mathers joins us for some Tuesday Tangents. He and Todd share their thoughts on whether Donald Trump will back out of the upcoming presidential debate. They also discuss and refute the MAGA movement’s continued election denialism.
