Today, the Harris campaign announced their choice of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as Vice President Harris’s running mate. We are proud to welcome the average Minnesotan who broke the news early last night! Dan Green (@DanGreenMN on Twitter/X), a self-titled “Minnesota hypeman,” was on his way to Chipotle for dinner when he decided to swing by the Governor’s residence. He saw what looked like a detail of Secret Service vehicles. After posting a video online, Green became the first to report that Tim Walz was joining the Harris ticket! Todd has a fantastic conversation with him about Tim Walz, living in Minnesota, and what it’s like to beat mainstream media to the punch. 

At the bottom of the hour, Luke Mathers joins us for some more Tuesday Tangents. He and Todd keep the Tim Walz conversation rolling, taking your calls about what this could mean for the election. Todd and Luke believe that Governor Walz’s “normal” Midwestern demeanor will connect with voters, making this an excellent choice by the Harris campaign.
