Coming up on Thursday, Biden and Trump will have their first presidential debate of the season. Trump has preemptively claimed that Biden will probably be high on cocaine. In reality, Trump is just trying to temper expectations for what he believes will be a mediocre performance on his part. 

This morning, Jon Lovett and Jon Favreau of Pod Save America spoke on Morning Joe about their new book, Democracy or Else: How to Save America in 10 Easy Steps. While the hyperpartisanship of modern American politics is frightening, it hasn’t always been this way. As recently as the Obama campaign, it was fun and fulfilling to get involved in politics, and Pod Save America have some great insight on how to return to those days. 

At the bottom of the hour, Luke Mathers returns for Tuesday Tangents! He and Todd talk further on Thursday’s upcoming presidential debate, and whether or not Trump will show up.
