Guests: Kelda Roys
As legal cases against MAGA Republicans and Donald Trump develop, more Republicans are making public statements condemning Trump. With the Wisconsin false elector scheme civil suit now settled, Andrew Hitt has joined Paul Ryan in refusing to attend the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee if Trump is the nominee. At the same time, however, Hitt is claiming that he was duped into being part of that scheme. Todd has some doubts that such an experienced attorney could be thrown for a loop so easily.
After that discussion, we are joined by State Senator Kelda Roys for a year in review regarding women’s rights. As an attorney and legislator, Sen. Roys reminds us that reproductive freedoms are still very much in jeopardy in Wisconsin and across the nation. Contraception and abortion care are incredibly important to women’s health and freedom, and while Wisconsin is clawing its way back to normalcy, we still have a long way to go.
