Today is Wednesday, October 28th, 2026 in a monster contest that was game four of the World Series.

Johnny DeLuca and pinch hitter Ben Williamson singled home runs in a stunning 12th inning rally and the Tampa Bay Rays staved off a World Series elimination with a four to three win over the Milwaukee Brewers.

last night that does force a game five at Tropicana Field tonight.

Here is why I'm a little bit concerned.

Now, it's exceptionally rare.

In fact, I think the last time it happened was with the Red Sox in 2004, where a team that was down three zero in the World Series came back to win it.

So I do have confidence ultimately that the Brewers will be successful, but I think that people have forgotten.

that the Tampa Bay Rays are a monster, monster squad.

That ball club is the best in the American League and they had 98 regular season wins.

But because they were able to put together some offense, it seems out of nowhere last night, I think that they now know what the Brewers have and how the Brewers use their tools.

Now, I'm not going to make any.

Predictions for tonight's game, but I have a feeling it will be more competitive and also because of the Tuesday night matchup where the Brewers scored Oh, they probably scored 10 runs.

It was 10 to 1 actually Nobody saw that coming but Tampa Bay was able to recover and in 12 innings So it did have to extend the contest a little bit later than old Sherwin wanted to stay up, but this is what makes really good

Baseball during the fall classic this evening the Brewers back at it again trying to close out this series a Tropicana field and Per usual there will be watch parties all over the city with the biggest one likely being an American family insurance field It is entirely up to you if you guys are buying tickets to that they have ranged in price from

50 bucks I've seen them to several hundred maybe even a thousand but of course I'll leave that up to you and for some people it is worth paying that really high admissions price to be a part of history because the Milwaukee Brewers or even back in 1957 the Milwaukee Braves featuring a young Hank Aaron them appearing in and winning a World Series is

and exceptionally rare sports feet.

So, shout outs to the brewers.

Now, ultimately, here's what would be great.

But it would require the brewers to lose again this evening, and we don't want that.

Oh, how a game six and or a game seven right here in Milwaukee would be so incredible.

In fact, if there was a game seven, which let's hope it doesn't get to a game seven, it will be on Halloween, which is also the same date.

Which daylight saving time ends so it will be a very long night, but man that would make for one hell of a night of Jubilant celebration so we're gonna continue to cheer on the Brewers and Hope that they bring home the World Series title regardless if it takes five games six or even seven And while that excitement is going on of course you have this final push

for the midterm election in which we here in Wisconsin are going to get a new governor, whether we like it or not.

Both David Crowley and Tom Tiffany have hit the road for a final campaign push ahead of the election.

I'm going to go over some polling data, which actually looks fairly decent for David Crowley.

Not that I. Consider this poll the most credible, but it is local.

The Marquette University Law School is coming out with their final poll ahead of the November 3rd, midterm election.

I believe that poll is due out today.

They never release it while I'm on the air.

It's usually in the afternoon, so perhaps my colleagues on the afternoon programs will cover the details of what the Marquette University Law School poll has to say about not just this contest, but also the issues that are moving voters to the polls.

We asked you a question via the YouTube and I'm curious because there has been This obsession and I think that that's a proper word to use in this context with the billionaires that have been funding the Tom Tiffany campaign and it's not just this campaign

This election cycle and even going back several years the Democrats especially the left flank of the Democrats have this This anger this animosity toward these very very wealthy people Who happens to be political donors of the right and there's like this I don't even call it like a hatred like they are the villains which makes sense because whenever you have Contests in America or whenever you have competition in America and this is a capitalist country

And competition is that the center, you have to have a villain.

You have to have a bad person.

Someone has to get the bad press and the bad publicity.

Someone has to lose their humanity because you got to justify hurting them and harming them economically.

You got to justify a group that is going to get paid less so that somebody else can get paid more.

And there are a lot of you and we talked about this a little bit yesterday.

They think that someone's wealth automatically makes them immoral.

I don't see it that way.

Now has the state of Wisconsin Republican Party received large influxes of cash from very wealthy Wisconsin business owners?

They have.

There's a bit of a misconception.

I'm going to try and clear this up that.

These three billionaires who I will name have just dumped all of this money in the Tiffany campaign.

That's not entirely accurate.

What is allowed in the laws of campaign finance is you can give an individual can give an unlimited amount of money to a state political party.

That state political party can then spend money on its candidates that are running.

Democrats or as Republicans has Tom Tiffany got gotten a big piece of that money that's been donated by these three very wealthy people.

He has, but he has not gotten all that.

The Democrats are very competitive in a number of Wisconsin state assembly seats, and they're very competitive in the Wisconsin State Senate.

So some of that money that these billionaires have given, essentially three people are are funding almost the entire Republican operation here in the state of Wisconsin.

But I want to do some juxtaposition here Because I can't have the Democrats also engaging in hypocrisy like we know that the Republicans do It's rich people giving to the Wisconsin Democratic Party to in which David Crowley is benefiting from that money And I know that we don't like the influence of money in politics Which has led me to ask the question that we asked via the YouTube Have you given any money to a political candidate this year?

And I don't even care who you gave it to

I'm just curious if anyone who is listening to or participating in this program has written a check to any of the candidates and maybe you have, maybe you have not.

So that is our YouTube poll question of the day.

Have you donated to a political campaign in 2026 and it can be to anybody.

I have my prediction of what I think the ultimate percentage will be once the show concludes.

But I would guess that the vast majority of people.

Have not and if that is indeed the case Then our political candidates and even the ones that we are opposed to They have to get the money from somewhere You know how righteous it is and how good it looks and how decent and honest a candidate or a campaign appears when they can say

We reject all big corporate money.

We reject all independent expenditure money.

Now the campaigns and the candidates, they don't have any say so in these outside groups in which David Crowley is benefiting from those two.

And this is not a bad thing.

It's just it's the rules.

And sometimes when the rules exist and we don't know them or we don't understand them or because of our lack of knowledge of the rules.

And then the opposing team knows the rules and they use the rules to their advantage.

We can't get angry at that.

Democrats are horrible at playing this game and the game is available for everybody.

But it looks really, really good, especially in these days and times where I think people are concerned about corruption.

I don't know.

Maybe corruption has become status quo.

But if a candidate can say I am funded thoroughly and totally through the donations of the people and then you can have.

a little more confidence, not a lot, a little more confidence that this candidate who is funded through the small and maybe even large donations of the people, maybe that candidate when they get elected will be working for those very individual people and those donors that contributed to their campaigns.

But we don't really do that.

We don't see our democracy as something that is also

Fueled by revenue and fueled by money it is It may be unfortunate, but it's the truth and we can have the conversation about How important money is in a capitalist society because I can talk to any one of you about money and I'm sure we can have a long conversation about it But this obsession with billionaires Almost like oh the Democrats don't have any billionaires.

Yes, the hell they do I'm going to name them in this show and that doesn't make this bad

That's just how the game is played, because individual people do not contribute.

Now, I want more African-Americans to be more involved and to be more engaged, because I think it's a good thing when we are fully and thoroughly participatory in democracy, because we can benefit from it.

If there's good people in position making good laws that see the world the way we do, that see that there are still disparities and things that are unfair, and electing people that see that,

Think is ultimately could be could be helpful to the cause of African Americans, but I want to go a little bit further and analyze why So few African Americans contribute to political campaigns at least on a regular basis I know some people some of you did give to David Crowley some of you have attended his fundraising events some of you maybe got a link Where you can donate a couple of dollars, but it it's inconsistent at best non-existent

at worst.

When it comes to money in our community, it is a conversation worth having, but I identified some reasons, because I gotta put reasons to some of this stuff.

There are a number of industries that have been outlined, and some of these industries have had actions taken against them, because they, and this is a covert form of racism that black people still can't see, because we're not being taught it.

We see the racism that's...

That's over.

It's the n-word.

You know, it's, you know, when Kyle Wallace had his situation at the, at the marina where somebody called him a black fella, like we see those incidences of racism and we think that that's all that there is.

Or those are the easy ones to point to.

That's lazy work.

I take a lot of heat because I drive a Tesla because Elon Musk.

Is a racist I need y'all to know something I need you to understand this I want everyone to hear what I'm about to say every white person is racist Every single one of them is racist to varying degrees.

Okay, and I understand them because we live in America.

We all harbor Racial resentments we all do it's a part of it and it's so It's so covert and our culture that you can absorb it and not even know it

But we seem to think that the only races that exist are the ones that are saying racist things publicly.

No, no, no, no.

The best races keep it quiet.

So there's a number of industries.

This is why I want to point out this covert racism because our people are fools still to this day.

Fool in thinking that the only races that exist are the ones that are doing it and saying it in our faces.

And maybe this is a thank you to Donald Trump because he has brought a lot of things into the light and a lot of things into the forefront to where.

If you are overtly racist and you say things about migrants or Muslim, Muslims are really taking it on the chin, aren't they?

But they haven't really been safe since September 11th.

They have been taking a lot of heat, but it's migrants.

And of course, as always, African Americans and Donald Trump has made it a little bit more comfortable for people to be more overtly racist, but it allows for the covert racist.

to continue to hide in the shadows.

And here's, if you're a real good racist, here's what you do.

If you just hate black people, here's what you do.

You pretend that you like them.

You surround yourself with them.

You engage in their culture.

Hell, you might even go to their businesses because if we as black people, and this is a vulnerability that we have, if a white person is nice to us, we think they're an ally.

Because we need allies so bad, we look at just the little simple human interactions, oh, wow.

I had a great interaction with a white cashier.

They're an ally.

And here's what else we do.

We invite them to the goddamn barbecue, not even knowing and realizing that they actually are the enemy.

There's maybe euphemism, a wolf in sheep's clothing.

So I found a wolf in sheep's clothing and I want to talk about it today.

There are a number of industries that still to this day intentionally overcharge African Americans.

Some of these industries have been caught.

Some of these corporations have been fine They have suffered losses business license losses, etc But then there's a couple of industries and a few companies where it's ambiguous where there's not really enough evidence to show that they are intentionally Overcharging African Americans, but they but there's evidence that we pay more for certain things and here's what that does that erodes

the little wherewithal that we have already is black people because for some ungodly reason that no one can point their finger at black people make less money and when we make less money we have less money and when we make less money and we have less money we contribute less to the political campaigns and the candidates that see that we are being discriminated against overtly and covertly and it makes it more difficult

for those candidates to get elected so that they can create laws and then expose where we are discriminated against covertly.

There's something else that I discovered too in how our resources are being siphoned off sometimes secretly by these covert operations and these businesses and companies and entities that are overcharging African Americans.

the eviction rate of african america it's it's staggering and in milwaukee it is more staggering than anybody else but that's why i want to bring these things to life

We are paying more money for things that we shouldn't and companies have been caught charging us more money that eats away at the ability for us to buy a house.

It eats away at the ability for us to save money for rainy day.

It eats away at our ability to be able to contribute campaigns and it eats away at our ability to be able to pay rent.

We're going to discuss it all today on the show.

We're calling final push.

Final push for both of Milwaukee Brewers as they are seeking a World Series title and.

A final push for both political campaigns running for governor of the state of Wisconsin.

Sherwin Hughes

And these candidates are begging for campaign contributions.

David Crowley has actually remained relatively competitive.

And I have to think that now he's at a disadvantage.

The Crowley campaign is now there's some independent expenditures from some of these outside groups that are running nasty, nasty ads.

Oh, there's one that I saw that completely and totally links Tom Tiffany to pedophilia.

It's a stretch, but they're also.

Running really despicable horrible and misrepresentative ads about David Crowley as well I had a white guy tell me and it's rare that you hit us from a white person because they gaslight us they want most white people They know that they benefit from a system that it doesn't necessarily make white people's lives better But they get the benefit of the doubting situations and they know that because they've seen how black people are treated

Whenever you see somebody being treated adversely, you have to think to yourself, wow, I'm glad that's not me.

Well, a lot of white folks are able to engage in that.

They can see a George Floyd and they can say, well, I'm glad that's not me.

That doesn't really happen to us.

So they know the privilege that they have, but they don't like when you bring it up because they don't want us to recognize it.

But they know that it's there.

They know that they don't want to be black.

Some fantasize and fetishize blackness.

But they don't, they don't want it.

They know that they don't want it.

There's contrast between blackness and whiteness in this country.

And so blackness, like they want the cute parts of it.

They want the fun and the singing and the dancing.

They want the theatrical parts of what blackness is.

And there's a free spirited nature to blackness.

Ain't it?

Look at our, just look at our art.

Even though our art and our creativity is still, it still contains messages.

of civil rights and wanting freedom and wanting liberty, but some people don't really pay attention to that.

But there is a free-spirited nature in black culture that I think that they admire.

But let me be real clear about that.

I think it's also a trauma response.

Why black people are so incredibly creative, why we sing so well, why we dance so well, it is in one form or another.

I'm not trying to get that deep into psychology.

But there's also another phenomenon.

You know, we we believe as black people because you know, we tell ourselves There were more righteous and we're better and we're we're above the colonizers because we didn't enslave people You know, we didn't create and maintain Jim Crow.

So I think that there is There's a righteousness that we internalize and of course we love we love black people.

We love black culture We love our art and our creativity.

We love it because it it belongs to us uniquely

And then we sometimes say, because I think there's almost like an arrogance in how much we love the little that we have.

And we say, white people, they want to be us.

Don't we sometimes say that, oh, they emulate us, and they mimic us, because they want to be us.

And then we'll also say, because we've got to justify why we still get treated so poorly.

And there's a number of reasons for that.

Some of it is just economic preservation.

Why would you make anything fair in this country?

What is the point?

If you have an advantage, why would you give it up?

If I'm winning in a baseball game, I'm up by five runs.

Why would I say, well, let me make it a little more fair.

Let me throw some really soft pitches right down the middle to make it more for that's insane, isn't it?

We want our team, whatever team you're on to win, no matter what.

Now you got to put some rules in place.

But we as Americans are competitive racism is a form of competitiveness not can get evil and nasty and dirty and deadly and it can be terribly unfair But I assure you if the tables return black people will be just as bad if not worse, but the tables aren't turned So let me not have that conversation with you today But we've we try to justify why we get picked on so much By saying oh, they want to be us.

That's what it is.

They're jealous You know what I think I can see

Some credibility in that because don't you Have a disdain for that in which you admire but cannot be if you see something that That you love that you have a deep affection for or it could be a Really beautiful woman right just stunningly gorgeous

genetically superior she this woman let's just say she is so beautiful that she makes other women stand up and take notice and what are those other women do because they know they'll never be as beautiful as her let me do you one better her hair is real

Her body is real.

Her eyelashes are real.

And let me throw in this other kicker that's going to make some of y'all mad this morning.

She don't got to wear no makeup.

She is naturally beautiful and other women will tear her down.

Yeah, but she probably stupid though.

Well, she probably ain't got no husband.

She probably ain't got no money.

They tear down that in which they cannot be.

And so I can apply that to race.

Maybe they tear us down.

Because they want to be us they want to move their bodies the way we move our bodies They want to be able to sing the way that we sing they want to have this Open and free spirited nature that that we embody as black people because they can never be that Wouldn't that also make sense of Democrats and how they hate billionaires?

Because we'll accept their money and we do but at the same time we hate them

We hate them so very much.

They're evil and they're terrible because they happen to give more money to the Republicans.

Number one, number two, ain't a person in this world that don't want to be rich.

Ain't a single person that does not want to never have to worry about money ever again.

And some people will never be there.

Therefore, you hate people that have it.

You hate everything about him.

You hate people that earned it.

You hate people that inherited it.

And I think that is what is impacting our politics because Democrats have made it.

Like this political lightning rod to hate rich people.

Because a lot of Democrats, a lot of working class people will never be rich.

Don't you just want to hate?

Isn't it easy to hate that in which you cannot be?

And maybe it's a white person hates a black person.

But here's the thing.

I don't think they really want to be as that bad because at the end of the day.

I mean, it's got his positives.

Obviously, it's got his pros.

But being black has its cons too.

I don't think they want to be.

I think they might want to emulate some of the things that they admire.

But at the end of the day, I don't think that they because if they wanted to be us, they wouldn't move into our communities even more frequently.

Now they're coming back.

They are to neighborhoods.

They want to ban it.

But if they really wanted to be us, they would send all their kids to NPS schools.

They don't want that.

If they really wanted to be is they would try to make soul food at their restaurants, but they're not doing that It is this disdain for that in which we cannot be it's a jealousy.

It's like this deep-seated

Hater like they have a deep-seated hatred for us because maybe they want to embrace certain parts of our culture And they never can or they can't do so with any credibility So they just they hate us and are even more discriminatory and more prejudice and more Racist and watch some of these working-class folks and poor folks who got to work really really hard just to make ends meet You hate those damn billionaires, but I promise you this If there's a very poor person who's been working 40 50 hours a week

For the last 30 years if I said hey poor person who's been working 30 40 50 hours a week and still not getting ahead if I said I gotta check for a billion dollars You think they would they would reject it you think they would say I don't want to be an evil billionaire Not only would they take that money they might be evil themselves and not help people That were in their same working-class situation the day before they got that check.

I'm gonna take a break come back

Milwaukee election officials prepare for midterm elections and I really hope that the city of Milwaukee election Commission is able to roll out this election smoothly without a hitch or Glitch because Tom Tiffany the Republican nominee for governor is an election denier and I promise you this if there's a single mistake or a simple mistake or some ballot that were Cashed early in one of these different polling sites

If a bag of ballots goes missing or we can't find it or somebody forgets it in the trunk of their car, it will throw this entire election into a tailspin.

So I'm going to take a break, come back, we'll grab a telephone call on the other side.

I'm going to talk about how the Milwaukee Election Commission is preparing for this upcoming midterm election.

Our phone number is 833-212-1017-833-2121017.

The election is now six days away.

Some of you have voted early.

Some of you are going to risk it all and vote on election day.

The candidates in the campaigns are on their final push also via our YouTube channel.

We have a daily poll question up.

Have you contributed to donated to a political campaign in the year 2026?

I haven't checked the numbers yet, but I have a sneaking suspicion of how lopsided the percentages may be.

But I also want to delve into some hidden reasons as to why African Americans in general, I mean, black people donate to campaigns, do not get me wrong.

But if you are barely making ends meet.

or if you're middle class or below the likelihood that you will invest any amount of money in a political campaign.

And here's what's crazy.

The candidate that you will elect if you're middle class or below very well may put together policies that will ease inflation, create more jobs, make sure wages are raised.

But the people that need that kind of policy contribute the least.

And there are

Companies out here, corporations, some have been caught, some haven't been caught yet.

Their racism is covert.

It's not the Elon Musk kind of racism, he's overt.

But the covert kind of racism, where they charge black people more.

And there's consequences to that, right?

The consequences are we contribute less to campaigns and it's more difficult for us to elect people that see the world through our lens.

But also...

The evictions I was at the courthouse not too long ago getting some documents the number of poor black people getting evicted I couldn't believe what I'm saying Like that's what Milwaukee County is is people going to court for obviously misdemeanors and felonies But like the other like two-thirds of the people like single mothers and their kids I Bet each and every one of you know somebody this that's not only been evicted but has multiple evictions and you know what that does that gives other

people and entities.

Another reason to discriminate against you.

It makes it harder to get housing.

It can impact your credit to where it's harder to get a bank loan so that you can buy a house and we know that African Americans, we have lower levels of home ownership.

Like it's this crazy cycle and it's covert racism that we don't see because the white landlord might actually pretend to like you.

He might even invite him to

The barbecue that you're having in the backyard of a property that he owns, but you rent, but he will throw your ass out in a second if you don't pay the rent.

Oh, no, that's another noise violation of that strike three.

We're going to evict you.

Sorry.

And here you are thinking your landlord was your ally.

And it's the road and the economic power of the black community.

I bet Bob has been evicted.

Bobby ever been evicted from a place before?

I bet you have.

No, I've

never been evicted from a place.

Sherwin, I'm gonna keep calm.

I got some examples for you, Sherwin.

You just don't understand.

We do not hate billionaires.

I am glad to be a capitalist.

However, it's what you do with the money.

Let me give you two examples, please.

Number one, Sherwin.

There's Hannity.

Rush limbo and It's other guy You are better.

Why do

Sherwin Hughes

you keep bringing up Russian Bob?

Hold on a second.

I don't know why you do this.

Russian limbo has been dead for 10 years

27 million dollars, you don't make no way that he was given that money Now if you make more than five hundred thousand dollars out, you know kind of detested a little bit you haven't earned

You he didn't get that.

You make nowhere near.

Even the Hannity makes Marion and Turkish and probably makes it.

Bob, do you have

Sherwin Hughes

all the timers?

I don't work for a large multinational cable broadcasting company that has advertisers.

No, I would not.

That's ridiculous.

Also, here's something that Bob just doesn't have the capacity to understand.

I'm starting to get real impatient with Bob.

I think he just wants to be annoying, which is never going to work with me.

Do you know who you have to become to make that kind of money?

If you're in broadcast.

Now, there are ways in which you can.

make a lot of money and still be who you are and be moral and be ethical, you will have to promote beliefs to an audience on behalf of an advertiser and a sponsor that is engaged in deception.

There might be something you fundamentally believe in in your heart.

It was how you were raised.

It's a part of who you are.

It's a belief system.

It's your moral code and Sometimes for money, especially when you work for large corporations You have to not only denounce your own personal beliefs.

You will have to promote the opposite and sometimes The money is not worth it an example would be There was a White House correspondence dinner

It must have been Joe Biden's White House correspondent's dinner because I think that Trump, he canceled them because Trump doesn't like to be ridiculed.

If you're familiar with the White House correspondent's dinner, it's a fun event where members of the media from all sides, conservatives, liberal, whatever, they all get together, they all get dressed up, and they basically poke fun at the president.

There's usually a comedian that hosted and they roast the president But then the president gets to go up at the very very end after being roasted by everybody the president gets to throw Barbs back at his detractors and members of the media.

They're not friendly to the president Barack Obama was an expert at this because of course there was a lot to attack you could very easily roast Barack Hussein Obama the first black president of the United States He was an easy target, but all that Obama fired back

Trump never liked White House correspondence dinners because Trump is so small and so sensitive and so weak that he can't even have an evening of fun.

So when Joe Biden, God bless him, when he did that White House correspondence, and I want to say it was in 2021, COVID was still going on.

And Fox News was in attendance.

All of them was there.

Whoever was on Fox News at the time, you know, they hate Democrat, or at least they pretend to.

And they really hated Joe Biden.

Donald Trump was their guy, especially back then.

And they promoted on their platforms that the vaccine was bad.

You can't trust the science.

Fox News did this.

They told their viewers and their listeners to be anti-vax.

And, you know, there's a lot of people that believe that there are probably some folk who are no longer here because they believed and internalized that anti-vax rhetoric.

that Fox News hosts promoted vigorously.

Joe Biden got their asses.

He said, oh, I'd like to welcome the people from Fox News that are here.

I know you Fox News correspondents and reporters and hosts.

You don't like me.

You don't like Uncle Joe.

But for each and every one of those Fox hosts to be here, Joe Biden was like, they all got vaccinated.

You should have heard the crowd.

And to make.

Sometimes ungodly amounts of money unless you're making it in sports Because you know even in sports though to a lot of times the money is not It's not always in the contract.

It's in the endorsement sometimes I guess some athletes have Have flexibility which endorsements they take sometimes they don't because they just need the money so bad But also even if you have one of those contracts with one of these teams, they own you Sometimes the money isn't worth it.

I think that is what people that don't know about money don't have money and they're financially

Illiterate they lack financial fluency they see an industry where a whole bunch of people are making money and they set that as the pinnacle a lot of times it ain't worth it Now the other part is We have we passed judgment on people because Americans are just very judgy and we see somebody with money and we have the damn nerve and the audacity To disagree with how somebody else spends their money I'm gonna tell you why that's audacious

Because you don't want anybody telling you how to spend your money sure goddamn money you earn this money You fought for this money you worked hard and slayed for this money at a job You didn't like working with people that you can't stand how dare someone who doesn't know your situation Tell you how to spend your money.

We should not be engaging in that We're projecting or we're saying to ourselves.

Oh if I had their money, here's what I would do with it

And can't nobody tell you what to do with your money because that's the first thing you gonna want to argue about if somebody says hey Maybe you should put some money away.

Maybe you should be a little bit more responsible Maybe you should stop going out so much so you can pay your rent so you don't get evicted every goddamn Two months every time you sign the lease and we get mad It's like we have this Weird understanding we'll say like homeless people like all these homeless people they're just Spending their money on drugs and alcohol No, they're not

But you are in that crazy like non homeless people will probably buy more drugs and alcohol than the homeless people that we accuse But then again if it's your money and you wouldn't buy drugs and alcohol with your money who am I to stop you some of y'all go gambling and Don't win which is even worse But I think that is one of those points of contention we see somebody that has a lot of money and then we those that don't have a lot

Think that we can tell them how to spend theirs, but won't want someone to tell us how to spend hours The truth with Sherwin Hughes on 101 7 if him will be right back

Linda says via the YouTube chat Sherwin isn't it illegal to overcharge people and having people been sued for that so Ultimately No, it's not illegal if there is some rooted grounded justification for it Now what you can't do is if you have So the Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation got sued class action lawsuit.

I was in it

Because I bought at least a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder.

And I paid an insane amount of money for that at least.

I got it in the fall of 2000.

I want you to just think about this for a second.

I was a recent college graduate.

Never had a new car before.

Because back then they were giving incentives for college graduates.

Like discounts and rebates if you're a college graduate and you want to buy a car So I leased a 2001 because the 2001 models came out the fall of 2000 I'm making okay money.

I guess I paid $571 a month to lease that vehicle 26 years ago.

I don't even know what that is in today's money

Come to find out the Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation was intentionally targeting African Americans and Latinos and charging us fees that they were not charging Caucasian counterparts this actually happens at least to happen pretty consistently until these class action lawsuits they would charge black people more for Buying cars for loans and hidden fees because we're so financially illiterate.

We would just get the price and just think that

Okay, that's just how much it costs and they're ripping us off.

But here's, here's where it gets weird.

If you have a poor credit score.

Oh, you can get a loan.

Absolutely.

But because you're such a risk, they're going to charge you a higher interest rate.

If you have, let's say, an eviction on your record, and somebody just put a statistic in the YouTube chat about the.

filings, 11,940 filings or eviction filings over the last 12 months, I'm assuming in Milwaukee.

That is insane.

And wait until you find out how many of those folks are black.

So if you have an eviction on your record or you've got a low credit score, somebody can in fact charge you more.

You know that if you have a low credit score, they're going to charge you more for car insurance, legally and legitimately because they can justify it.

Well,

If you can't pay your bills and your credit score is low, you're probably an irresponsible, reckless driver.

I don't necessarily know if those things correlate, but actuarials say they do, and actuarials are the scientists that get hired to assess risk, and they come up with the rates that we pay from homeowners insurance, car insurance, whatever, whatever.

To get hired at good karma brands.

We don't work for good karma brands anymore.

Good karma brands sold.

One on one seven the truth to Milwaukee black media who did not require something pre-employment that good karma brands did and I didn't like it in fact on one of my first radio shows Broadcasting on one on one seven the truth when we launched January 4th 2021 I raised the issue of We had to sign some documents allowing good karma brands to check our credit scores pre-employment

Because employers can legally do that too.

So in the modern era and this is why I want to talk about covert racism because black folks don't even recognize it.

We'll point to overt races and so what happens is white racism is incredibly elegant and sophisticated.

It cannot operate like it did.

It can't just grab people and grab black people and hang them even though it's doing some of that too.

It has to be nice.

It has to be gentle.

It has to be soft.

It has to be accommodating and when it's and when racism appears that way.

We don't think it's racist at all.

We can't recognize it.

So what happens is white people and white institutions get even closer to black people and when they get close to us, like when we invite them to the barbecue, then they find new ways and new covert strategies how to be racist against us.

Let me get back to this thing that good karma brands did pre-employment.

We had assigned some documents allowing them access to our credit scores and our credit report because apparently if your credit score is

Low or at a level set a threshold set by the employer.

They're not the only employer that does this and this is legal because you can't deny somebody employment because they're black but you can deny somebody employment because their credit scores are low and we know that black people's FICO scores are lower than everybody else's so if you don't want niggers working it's your job you can't say that that's rude.

We would get very offended if we walked into an employment place and said hi everybody but niggers we'd be like oh

Guess I'll go to McDonald's and high and see if I can get hired there But they can check your credit score and you might have a lower credit score You might have worked for a company that downsized you Lades you off during the pandemic or they don't have the same hours.

Let me do a side note on hours Pandemic is over y'all pandemic seven years ago can restaurants and businesses have normal hours like y'all still got pandemic hours open Thursday

and Saturday evenings but not open on Mondays and Tuesdays going back to the pandemic.

Can y'all stop it?

Can we have normal non-pandemic virus hours or are we just... Can Summerfest go back to 11 straight days?

How about why don't we try that?

I gotta check a calendar for the weekends.

Just get it all over with.

11 days.

Take the whole whole damn month of June and July every weekend messing up all the week is nothing going on But on the weekends yay summer fest stop it It's insanity Yeah, I don't like when because companies that check a credit score, that's a way in which they can discriminate legally

Welcome to our two of the truth with Sherwin Hughes These are the days ladies and gentlemen of the final push Both for the Milwaukee Brewers as they are looking for a franchise first World Series Championship fell a little short last night a 12th inning contest with a walk-off home run walk-off single from the Tampa Bay Rays that gave them a

One game in the contest that is best for out of seven is now three to one with the Brewers leading that series.

Game five is tonight at Tropicana Stadium.

Final push for the candidates for governor and other candidates running for elected office in the state of Wisconsin.

David Crowley and Tom Tiffany making their last minute.

Last ditch efforts in some cases to voters also should be noted the Marquette University Law School is coming out with its final poll before the November 3rd election that is scheduled to be released today.

You want to tell you about how the City of Milwaukee Election Commission is preparing to roll out this election and they have to be flawless because if there are some hiccups or some mistakes and there's always human error but hopefully it's small and it's mitigated and it doesn't make the news.

because David Crowley, the Democratic nominee for governor is running against Tom Tiffany.

Who is in fact an election denier?

In the meantime, let's talk to East Side Corey.

You're on one on one.

Wow.

Sherwin Hughes

How are you?

Hey, Sherwin, how are you doing?

Sherwin Hughes

I'm doing good.

What's on your mind?

Man, I'm I'm so impressed with the level of excellence that the Brewer team is playing.

It's a very exciting time to be in Milwaukee.

It is at the same, you know, I mean and this weather I don't know I Have a difficult time even enjoying it because it's like this is not normal But I'll take it, you

Sherwin Hughes

know,

I love it too It is sweater

Sherwin Hughes

weather sweater weather

during the

Sherwin Hughes

morning it is supposed to be in the 70s

today I think God is just giving us some sunshine and I really I'm appreciate it yet

But hey, I'm just checking in with you because I know you probably hit these topics over the weekend of Orange Man, so we don't have to go back over them.

But I wanted to say now that you've been talking about Karma Brand and you have been swooped up by your latest company, and I knew last time when the big change happened,

I understand how radio works with contracts.

I'm an individual.

Y'all can't say that, you know, it's a whole very, it's very different than any other kind of employment.

I remember you telling me that, so I did my own research and it is really weird what y'all go through.

And that you are still, you know, doing what you do.

And I think that the Karma brand had a great idea, but like everything, we have to own our stuff.

So I'm asking you, is the current company that owns Fruit Nation, is it a black owned company?

In theory.

In theory, okay.

And without getting all the... But here's the

Sherwin Hughes

thing, you saw Corey, we gotta stop fixating on black owned because black owned does not mean...

Above board it doesn't mean adequate it doesn't mean there's some kind of righteousness And it's great if you want to like uphold some kind of cultural standard for something as black-owned But if it

goes

Sherwin Hughes

out of business because it promotes its blackness over its profitability, then it doesn't matter There's

also

Sherwin Hughes

no there's no real appetite for black media there isn't Not like as an institution.

No

Sherwin Hughes

What it's like we're

just

Sherwin Hughes

individual content creators, right?

It's like how everybody's afraid that AI is taking over everything real news comes from sources that are online that are on tiktok that are on

Instagram

Sherwin Hughes

reels and

that's on

Sherwin Hughes

YouTube so that's where like there's There's a demand for information But having a radio station is very 20th century

But you'll still hear

And radio is really out of all the media that we've had over the last 150 years, it's still here.

Sherwin Hughes

Where's the radio at in your house?

Do you have a standalone AM FM radio?

Because

at one

Sherwin Hughes

point in time, everybody has

it.

Right.

So now I have both.

In the kitchen, I have an old beat up boom box.

The radio still works.

AM and FM.

And then I listen to you right now on my phone with my headphones.

Exactly.

So I carry you around with me all day.

Sherwin Hughes

Hold on now.

I don't want people getting the wrong idea.

Well now, but I like the sense of independence that you have and the changes that have happened.

But maybe we need to, I am really much into not just nostalgia, but history.

When we've had opportunities,

to be left alone.

I'm talking about black enterprise entrepreneurs, and also collaborations with other manpas.

We have a history of pulling together, not necessarily on the south side, and that's changing though, but I think that, I really think that it's going to help us pull through if we roll our history.

and try and get back to that sense of Black Wall Street.

Okay.

And I'm just glad that you're still there hanging in there.

And I hope that I like your representation.

But I just wanted to say how much I appreciate y'all still being around.

Sherwin Hughes

No, that means a lot to us.

It does.

You

love me?

Okay.

All right, then you have a great day and keep your eye on the prize.

Sherwin Hughes

All right, you keep your eyes on the prize too.

Can we stop and I appreciate east side core and Really any of you that?

Listen to us and a lot of people still do listen on the radio.

In fact my biggest Listener ship base has always been people that are in their vehicles for a living and so with the explosion I'll say of the gig economy where people are driving uber and they deliver for Amazon and they drive for lift Whatever

Over the road truck drivers have always been my people UPS drivers FedEx drivers have always been my people and I think that has maintained a Listener ship via the radio radio, but everything is moving Digitally because that's just where the world is but what we do as black people is we get nostalgic and I totally understand the program that I did

Don't know when the Brewers when we knew the Brewers were either going to or heading toward the World Series.

I talked about the year 1982 I did a full three-hour show on the year 1982 the culture the politics and the music That was one of my I think it may have been my highest listen to

Show that so we measure I don't know what my ratings are so people that say oh sure when you do this stuff for ratings know the hell I don't I've never known my ratings are because I've never worked for a company or radio station that pays Nielsen for what our actual ratings are in the market share this ain't v100 this ain't clear channel this ain't saga communications I've never worked for companies like that.

Well saga alone time ago when I was with 98.3, but I don't even know if I count that because I was a co-host of a

of a hip hop radio show, not the same as talk radio.

But what we can measure is how many YouTube.

Video plays we get.

The only other program that gets even closest when I interviewed.

Marjorie Taylor Green in twenty twenty three when she was full Trump because she came here to be a surrogate for Trump and to do press for Trump because Trump wasn't doing any debates.

During the 2024 election cycle and was crazy as Donald Trump did zero debates against his Republican colleagues and counterparts and still won in every single Republican primary election So he would send people to the cities where the debates were taking place to speak on his behalf and to speak to media So Marjorie Taylor Greene sat down with me that was Up until recently up until hell last week or two weeks ago.

That was my most listened to program.

But when I went and talked about

the year 1982 because a lot of y'all were around.

I was a little kid, but I still remember being in second grade and when the Brewers were on their last championship run.

We love nostalgia, but here's what we got to stop doing in terms of business.

Black folks always look at something in the past that was successful or relatively successful and said, we got to get back to that.

No, it's never, never, never.

When black people had a monoculture.

And most of our effort and our energy was fighting for equality, fairness, open housing, federal protections for the right to vote.

It's easy to look at what our successes were back then because we had so few of them.

And a lot of people think about that time when black people were segregated and we had a bunch of black businesses and the black community was thriving because we had factory jobs.

Factory jobs are gone.

And even if you bring them back, nobody wants to work in a goddamn factory.

Black people supported each other back then.

Sherwin, we were a tight knit community.

You had to be because you couldn't go anywhere else.

And I don't want to get angry and upset, but I hear it all the time.

Oh, Sherwin, we have to get back to got to get back to all of these different things.

We cannot go back.

And I use the example of so today is Wednesday.

No matter what you do, you can never make today yesterday.

You can never make today, which is a Wednesday.

You can never make today Tuesday, but you can wait for the next Tuesday.

So when folks say, oh, we need to return back to no, we're not going to be able to return back to anything.

It's it's a beautiful thought.

But also, let's say we did have another Black Wall Street.

You think they wouldn't burn the new one down?

There's we have a financial.

I don't want to say illiteracy we lack financial fluency as black people like not all black people But so enough You would think that if you have Let's call it a black radio station even though white money is always behind most of what we do, but it's a black radio station whatever There's an understanding or at least white investors have thought this because this is the second time I've been with the same frequency 101.7 Both originally owned by white people because they tried this experiment

In the previous 101.7 they brought over myself and Earl Ingram and they believed when it was devil's advocates radio broadcasting on a Brady Street They believe that if you get black hosts, then the entire black community will do two things listen and support Well, if we have black hosts then all the black businesses are gonna want to advertise their goods their services their businesses and their products on the black radio station That is what they actually believe black folks don't do that

We don't we don't see this like we don't see the connection between our money and our campaign contributions and our people being competitive and getting elected We as black people don't see black media and black radio and information that goes uniquely to and is for black people Especially to fill in the gaps of where our education is lacking We don't see that as worth financially supporting with our businesses because far too many black businesses that are here today and gone tomorrow

We'll take whatever money they make and put it in their pocket.

They don't invest in advertising and promotion or they think that having a goddamn Facebook page is enough.

So instead of them advertising their goods and their services and their products on black radio to black people, they just do it on their own or they wing it and they can try they try to do it for free or they try to do it for cheap and they always end up going out of business.

And I have seen that time and time again, but white people that do not know African Americans and do not have an understanding or an appreciation.

for our lack of financial fluency.

Here's what they think.

And Craig Carminsen thought this, just like Dominique Salva and what was all the white boys name?

Michael Crudy.

They thought this too.

Oh, if we bring over some black hosts, then we're going to get all the black business money.

Black businesses do not advertise very rarely.

Or here's what they'll do.

Hey, Sherwin, how much will my business go up if I spend $19.32 on one commercial?

It won't go up.

Well, then why would I advertise?

First of all, we all know what's on McDonald's menu.

McDonald's is going to spend billions of dollars a year on advertising.

It does not matter what your business is.

You have to promote it forever and we don't seem to understand it because our lack of financial fluency and also our difficulty understanding investing.

Do you want to make money just right now because you're broken?

You need to pay your bills and you're dealing with your third eviction.

You want to make all the money you possibly can.

So if you see some profit in your bank account.

You use that profit for immediate gratification.

You go buy a purse, you go buy a car, you go buy some stupid ass jewelry.

You don't say, you know what?

I want my grandchildren to be rich from this business.

Yeah, I made $30,000 in profit this year, but I'm only going to take $500 and put it in my pocket.

And I'm going to take $29,500 and put that into the future of expanding my business.

We do not do that.

We don't.

The most successful businesses do.

And so black radio and black media has been hampered by that.

That's why we get bought out so frequently because the white person is like, oh, if I own the black radio station, if I own black media, all the black businesses will advertise.

But here's how we shoot ourselves in the foot.

And I shouldn't say this, but I love you all.

I want to be honest with you because I want people to know how this goddamn game works.

Every Friday, we let people call in and promote their black businesses for free.

None of them advertise.

Because they can get airtime for free You want to know the real reason why I started I stopped doing beyond the mics There was a disconnect between our black-owned businesses restaurants bars and lounges and Them advertising and promoting their specials their their drinks their food menu, whatever on black radio That is the only way we survive is when people buy ads, okay?

And I saw disconnect.

So here's what I wanted to do.

I want to have a series of events of different black owned restaurants, bars and lounges.

So that those restaurants, bars and lounges could see that we could bring a crowd via one on one seven the truth.

And I was under the understanding and had the impression that, oh, wow, they did it beyond the mic here at XYZ business and my business.

And wow, we made a whole bunch of money because one on one seven, the truth listeners, when they hear about a business or know about a business.

They'll come and support and spend money.

We thought that by having our Beyond The Mic events at a half dozen or so different restaurants, bars, and lounges, that they would see the benefit of advertising with us and not a single one of them did.

And I'm thinking to myself, well, what's the point?

If they don't want to invest in this radio station that a lot of people listen to, if you want your business to be successful, you need exposure.

We provide exposure.

I love it that people listen to me but also want you guys to listen to who is advertising on our radio station and none of the because the businesses just wanted us to bring our crowd for free and It wasn't worth either wasn't worth them investing and buying ads on one on one seven the truth Or they just wanted to keep whatever advertising budget for themselves or we'll just have a Facebook page And so I was like screw it.

I'm not gonna do it no more because it's not

Just a party like oh listen invite a bunch of truth listeners and have a good time It was part part of that so we as hosts and producers could connect with you all personally But also so these businesses could see That we bring people that spend money because y'all drinking eat a lot So that's that's the dirty

So I know everything is moving more digitally and moving to you know podcasting and YouTube whatever And eventually maybe if I continue this line of work who knows what I'll be doing in five years because I don't even know what's the longest I've even been at one radio station maybe six years because something changes or Somebody buys or sells or whatever the case may be so I don't know maybe Maybe I migrate over to YouTube We'll see I mean I tried it

But it's exceptionally time consuming especially because I'm doing this show for three hours a day Last thing I want to do is go and produce a whole another show where I'm broadcasting from my house.

So I don't know we'll figure it out.

I Gotta talk about this damn election.

This is the final push ladies and gentlemen Not just for the candidates running for governor of the state of Wisconsin and other elected positions not just here but all over the country, but the final push for the Milwaukee Brewers who?

weren't able to seal the sweep as the Tampa Bay Rays

From CBS 58.com We are now just days away from the midterm elections, which means preparations are underway At the end of the day we make sure that every eligible ballot is processed through the machine said Paulina Gutierrez the executive director of the Milwaukee Election Commission Ballot tabulators line the walls of the Milwaukee Election Commission's central operation center

as they make their final checks before Election Day on Tuesday, November 3rd.

We obviously care about free and fair elections, ensuring the safety and security of every single eligible vote, said Gutierrez.

We have to do this multiple times, and then we do it in public so you can actually see what was replicated in LNA.

If a machine doesn't pass, it will not be used on Election Day.

On Saturday, the Milwaukee Election Commission provided demonstrations of the high-speed tabulators that will be used at central count and the machines used at polling locations across the city, giving a behind-the-scenes look at the process.

If something election attorneys Bob Bauer and Ben Ginsburg say, make all the difference to remove doubt from voters in the election process.

There's a very common thread about how the system works what safeguards are built into it and that since we don't hear anything Here that's strikingly different than what we hear elsewhere But you all know across the country said Bauer there's an elevated interest in this topic for obvious reasons in August a wrong button pushed on tabulators caused delays in absentee ballots downloading progress

and high voter turnout last year in April caused several locations to actually run out of ballot.

Gutierrez says those came down to human error, not an issue with the system.

We will always have human error because we are human beings But the election process has multiple layers of security multiple layers of checks and balances said Gutierrez We have paper copies paper ballots voter numbers poll books machine reports and we are constantly checking to make sure that a ballot matches an eligible voter The Wisconsin elections Commission says they expect more than 2.6 million Wisconsinites

to cast their ballots for this election so there are many safeguards ladies and gentlemen there's a paper trail there's a paper ballot there's a voter number you show your ID there's a poll book you sign the poll book it is exceptionally hard to commit and get away with voter fraud but considering that an election denier

is running as a Republican for governor in the state of Wisconsin.

This process has to be flawless because even if there is human error and there will be, Tom Symphony has a credible case.

But here's where that really comes from.

Since I have to have discussions about covert racism with black people, they believe that when Democrats win, it's because black people are double and triple voting.

Now, black people will commit some felonies.

I mean, people of all races will commit felonies.

But do you honestly think of all the felonies we could commit that that's one worth committing?

I'm going to vote twice for David Crowley.

Stupidest felony.

We can't get black people to vote once.

But they believe because they think that black people aren't just cheaters.

So that's an example of covert racism.

And they even have us believing that, oh, we need voter ID.

Because people are cheat where?

the most prominent cases of People cheating and double voting or using somebody else's registration has been with Republicans with some of those documented cases going back to 2012 were a dude from Wisconsin voted twice from Mitt Romney voted for Mitt Romney once in Wisconsin and drove to Indiana to vote for him again insanity But that's an example of The covert racism that exists is sometimes we don't see we just to pay attention we pay attention to

the obvious examples, and then we use that as, oh, look at these people over here using the n-word.

These people are saying how much that they don't like black people.

Yeah, absolutely, that exists.

But when you have people that are more overt with their racism, we pay even less attention to the people who are covert and whose racism digs really, really deep into the heart and the core of the African-American community, and we seem to not notice that.

lot hypocrisy in our politics including The Democrats disdain for billionaires mostly because people aren't billionaires and we have a level of hatred animosity and jealousy for those things that we want and cannot have or those people that we cannot be and That should be a relatable example because a lot of African-Americans will say all these white people are always messing with us always picking eyes Why they're always picking ass?

Well, that's because they want to be us.

I'm not no, and I don't know maybe some do

Maybe some But I think that's also a reason why and Democrats needs identifying enemy because obviously Their political enemy is Republicans, but they need to identify need to identify an enemy Within that and so we blame billionaires and there's a lot of poor people and working-class people Who will naturally support Democrats because Democrats tend to be tend to be

the party that supports organized labor and working class people, even though there's a lot of elitism in the Democratic Party.

Oh, you don't believe me?

Look at where Kamala Harris went to college.

Look at Joe Biden's education.

Barack Obama went to Harvard was the editor of the Harvard Law Review, and he is a lawyer.

There's wealth and billionaires in the Democratic Party too.

That's why I find it so distant and genuine and here's the other thing I got to be honest with you I've been covering elections and doing campaign stuff for so long.

I don't get excited about it no more I'm gonna tell you why because it's hard for me to get excited about an event where I got to put my trust and faith in voters Because voters will disappoint you and they will lie to you you can't get excited about it or

If you get really excited about the prospect of winning an election for your side and then you lose, the disappointment is even more profound.

So I don't get excited.

Apparently I'm interviewing Stacey Abrams tomorrow and I'll be honest with you.

I'm not.

Yay.

She's a nice lady.

Stacey Abrams.

She ran for something in Georgia.

She's a big election advocate.

She's going to be in town doing stuff.

10 years ago, I'd have been like, oh my God, I'm interviewing Stacey Abrams.

Now I'm just like, all right, how long is the interview going to be?

Why don't we do this?

Let's take a break.

Come back.

I'm going to give you some polling information.

I really do want to get to the campaign contributions, how much money David Crowley has raised, how much money Tom Symphony has raised.

I think I even have some information on these independent expenditures.

Some of these outside groups and these special interest groups are spending money on behalf of the candidates and the campaigns.

Now would be a good time to check our poll.

We're we're concerned about the influence of money in politics and I know the Democrats have made a real big deal not just here but nationally about these billionaires that influence elections Let me be honest with you.

They don't even work.

It really doesn't it can have moderate influence So we had a state Supreme Court race here.

I think in 2025 where Brad Schimmel Was run and Brad Schimmel was backed by Elon Musk and spent

Millions of dollars on that Wisconsin State Supreme Court raised and Brad Schimmel lost So this fear and sometimes it's an irrational fear.

In fact, I know it's an irrational fear because billionaires Democrat dim billionaires donate

to Democrats as well.

But they don't say nothing about that.

And whenever a Democrat receives a political donation from a billionaire, what do they say?

Well, we can't help who they give their money to.

So why are we mad at the fact that billionaires also give to Republicans?

I don't like that kind of hypocrisy, because in these days and times where elected officials are not credible and they're all assumed to be corrupt, this kind of hypocrisy doesn't help.

Because if I want to be objective in providing information, I gotta tell you that David Crawley gets money from billionaires, and I'm not saying it's wrong.

Hell, it's legal.

Democrats should be getting money from billionaires, but don't have a fit when those billionaires are giving you money or giving billions and millions of dollars to the Republican counterpart.

That's the game, ladies and gentlemen, and it's because we as individuals, we don't give, and the billionaires gladly will.

When asked via YouTube have you donated to a political campaign in 2026?

77% of you have not there you go And if you hate the impact and influence of money and politics and if you hate all these wealthy people millionaires and billionaires donating we have to get our numbers up of Us as individual people Donating even small dollar amounts because there's so many more of us than there are of them

We can have a much more profound influence on who gets elected instead of these wealthy people in their special interests, controlling our politics.

Sherwin Hughes

From CBS 58 with election day approaching Democratic gubernatorial candidate David Crowley and Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Tiffany are Chris crossing Wisconsin as both campaigns make their final push to voters Both candidates are spending the closing stretch of the campaign on the road with dozens of stops planned across the state quote I feel really good probably says

The purpose of this bus tour is to meet everybody exactly where they are.

I never thought I would see my name on the side of the bus, but here we are, Tiffany said.

We are crisscrossing the state.

Both campaigns are also bringing prominent supporters along for the final stretch.

Crowley has received support on the trail from actress Kerry Washington, who joined his wife, Erika.

for a women for Crowley rally in Milwaukee Tiffany has made stops along prominent was amongst alongside prominent Wisconsin Republicans including us senator Ron Johnson former governor Scott Walker and us representative Brian style as The candidates travel the state both are focusing on their closing messages to voters

People want somebody who's going to work for them Crowley said a fighter for working-class family someone who is going to help lower grocery prices and house prices and Give better access to health care and make sure We are investing in our children Side note on that that's David Crowley staying completely and totally on message

Notice there's no fanfare and they're not there's no hoopla but like me.

I'm the first black governor.

He ain't mentioned that none and one time.

First of all, it's obvious Second of all that would be a distraction because there's a It's a delicate line that you have to walk as a black candidate because white people don't care about our history They don't want to be part of it actually, but if you can create policies that will help them

if you're speaking to them, because here's something we're going to have to be okay with.

79% of the population in Wisconsin is white.

And David Crowley, if he gets elected, those are his constituents.

79% of the residents in the state of Wisconsin are Caucasian people, and most of them live in really small towns.

Those individuals will be his prominent and primary constituents.

We cannot think That he is going to over represent black people, I think that our interests will be represented proportionally but to believe that the 5% 4% of Wisconsin's population that's black is gonna get represented like the 80% That's white is insane.

We can't we can't think that way, but black folks do that too

Rock Obama was president we over here.

He ain't do nothing for black people.

Yo has got a chance to get health insurance didn't you?

The economy exploded in it Wars ended, right?

Housing foreclosure crisis ended Banks were lending again Auto workers and auto factories started making cars again got a whole bunch incentives and a lot of us work for those auto companies.

That's why we in Detroit, but we think that

If someone gets elected that looks like us that they are going to work for Uniquely and exclusively us that that's insane.

That's just a matter of math You can't over represent black people and here's the thing.

I think in the state of Wisconsin We're like we're maybe 2% of the voters think about that for a second 2% of the voters If turnout was higher in a Fox Valley

Washburn County, Iron County, and Warsaw, the black vote in the state of Wisconsin wouldn't even matter, and I hate to say that.

But because turnout in the midterm election, if we're lucky, we see 60%, I don't think we'll see 60%, probably something like 48 to 51.

White folks can outvote us statewide whenever they want to.

The good news is some white folks stay home because they're disaffected by the Democrats and the Republicans, but we got to be realistic about what our numbers are.

This is a state that is almost 80% white.

And if David Crowley gets elected, that's who he's got to represent.

David Crowley is going to spend more time working with farmers.

Then he is working with people on the block trying to stop homicides.

We just have to be okay with it.

It doesn't mean that those people will be left in the lurch.

It just means that there is a much larger constituency that occupies the vast geography of the state of Wisconsin.

Tiffany pointed to his campaigns economic platform Quote I'm for ending the brain drain in Wisconsin for making us a more prosperous state and We have a clear eight point detail plan to make Wisconsin more affordable Tiffany said here's what's crazy

David Crowley and his statement listed specifically what he is going to do.

Tom Tiffany said, Oh, go, go look at the eight point plan.

Hey, dog.

Ain't nobody reading your eight point plan.

Tom Tiffany, if you're listening and I don't know why you wouldn't be, even if you had a two point plan, anybody going to read it, you got to tell people what it is.

Playboy.

With the general election entering its final stretch, the candidates are also keeping up with what has become a memorable few weeks for Wisconsin sports.

Quote, boy.

People sure have got sports fever right now in Wisconsin as they should Tiffany said We are winners in Wisconsin and we want to make sure our state government is a winner also Crowley said he was watching the Brewers come back win and game two of the World Series from his hotel room quote when Sal hit that home run it was incredible Crowley said What Sal did and with Ashby finishing the entire ninth inning

It was just incredible.

I was on pins and needles in my hotel room.

So that actually shows that David Crowley really watched the game.

Tom Tiffany probably did not.

I'm going to take a break.

And when I come back, why don't we talk about the latest polling and where the experts have this race with six days left until the election day, which is Tuesday, November 3rd.

Sherwin Hughes

consistently shows a narrow Crowley lead, generally in the three to four point range, though many results fall within the margins of error and undecideds remain relevant.

The last Marquette University poll conducted between September 16th and September 23rd, 2026 had Crowley at 49% and Tiffany.

46 amongst likely voters 5% undecided 45 to 46 amongst registered voters 9% undecided partisans are highly locked in at 95 to 96 support for their nominee Crowley leads independence substantially in the poll Though that margin had narrowed from August.

There's a new market University Law School poll that's scheduled to be released today.

Hell might be released already I know I ain't checked I don't put a lot of stock in that poll because I just don't put a lot of stock in market University.

Sorry.

I just don't

I don't put a lot of stock in it.

You know what's crazy?

Now most of these people that hate private schools, hate the school choice program and the voucher program, all private schools are terrible, but y'all love Marquette and that's a private school.

The YouGov poll conducted September 22nd through October 9th, sponsored by City Forward Collective Action Fund, has the race at 46-42 Crowley.

Z to a research firm late September early October polls sponsored by a Democratic aligned group had the race at 49 54 Crowley as of late October 28th 2026 Crowley 46.8 to 47.7 for Tafani

43 to 44 or 3.5 to four points via poll check for to Fanny The Cook political report called the Wisconsin race for governor a toss up Prediction markets Cal she has David Crowley at 79% to Fanny 21% chance of winning the poly market has David Crowley with an 80% chance of winning and to Fanny

at 20% on point politics and similar to who shows up generally put Crowley in the 75 to 79% range to win with projected margins of 3.5 percentage points either way these blended polls with fundamentals and historical patterns do over the long term tend to be relatively accurate

It's about turnout, though, too.

Because midterm election turnout is not at presidential levels.

If there is something that happens where the Democrats are motivating people, then, obviously, that's going to be a David Crowley advantage.

So what we're averaging in the city of Milwaukee, early vote, which it's not a direct predictor, but I think it's going to be about 80% to 20%.

So people that are voting early at these different sites and different libraries in the city of Milwaukee, 80%, I believe, this is a Sherwin statistic.

80% of those votes are going to go for David Crowley with 20% going for right-in candidates The Republican candidate, etc.

And they're averaging about 3,000 votes per day Now on the weekends the numbers are lower because not all polling locations are open on Saturdays and Sundays But roughly 10 days of early voting or technically 45 hours of early voting

I think about 30,000 votes ultimately will get cast when it's all said and done.

And that 30,000 votes that are cast early, I'd say 24, 25,000 of those will be for David Crowley.

Here's why that number is significant.

Going back several election cycles, including the most recent presidential and even the last midterm election that we had.

in 2022 when Mandela Barnes was running for the US Senate, those vote margins had been somewhere between 25 and 30,000 votes, even Tony Eva's election and reelection still in that same range.

So, so, so, so, potentially it's potential now because we don't know what voters are going to do.

That's why I can't get excited about these contests.

I can get excited about the prospect.

I can get excited about the history making aspect of this election.

But when you have to rely on voters, especially voters that you don't know that live very far away that still have negative perceptions of anything related to Milwaukee, they still don't like the fact that David is black.

They still don't like the David comes from Milwaukee.

I got to rely on them.

That's it's too hard to get excited about that.

But there is a possibility that the Crowley campaign can bank votes early that could be.

his margin of victory.

If we look at history as a guy, now here's the other thing I'm not crazy about doing.

We got to rely on crazy as Dane County, then whack jobs in Madison.

These crazy hippie liberals.

But have a problem with race that rivals that of Milwaukee.

Francesca's been OK.

She, because a lot of her people.

Wanted to write her in.

And if any of them are listening, those votes won't count because you have to be an actual registered write-in candidate for a write-in votes account for a write-in candidate.

And if you're not registered as a write-in, if you write Francesca's name in, you technically voted for Tom Tiffany because that vote will not be counted for her.

But also, the Democratic socialists who do not live in reality, I think that they had

some impact and influence on Trump getting elected in 16 and then Trump getting reelected in 2024 Because they protested.

I don't know Joe Biden or Kamala Harris and their stances on Israel or whatever not knowing or thinking That Donald Trump would be worse because they're a political organization and agency that is disconnected from reality

It should be noted the Democratic socialists are even wider than Republicans and a third of them make better than a hundred thousand dollars a year.

So these economic woes that is impacting the majority of the people in the country don't even impact them.

And so they could be a factor as well.

I know that Francesca has been better in supporting David Crowley than Mandela Barnes has been.

Mandela Barnes, they know where to be found, which is disrespectful and it's disingenuous.

And if he is listening, which I know he is,

We're going to remember this because Mandela is not done running for elected office in the state of Wisconsin.

He's too arrogant to stop.

I got reason to believe that the only reason why Mandela entered the race for governor and he entered late, he was the last person to get in.

The only reason why he got in was to make sure that David didn't win.

And there's evidence of that.

So that just shows you who he is.

He didn't have a pathway to victory.

He didn't.

Now he had been elected before statewide.

And I think he was using that as a springboard.

But I don't know if that was enough to give him a direct pathway to the nomination because his brand of politics was shared and split by both Kelder Roy's and Francesca Hong, who I think are more credible and more authentic at being very liberal and being exceptionally progressive.

So that's.

That's my take on it.

So at the very least, kind of the other candidates, Joel Brennan has been very helpful.

I guess Lieutenant Governor Sara Rodriguez, she's disappeared, probably a good thing because there was some scandal involved.

During the primary that did not make the Democrats look the most credible because she was in and then David dropped out and then she dropped out because of some financial issues and some misreporting of her campaign funds and then David gets back in and then Tony Evers does something controversial and Tony Evers and endorses David Crowley even though there were people in the race that had actually worked for Tony Evers in his administration, but Tony opted to tour the state and endorse

David Crowley which made a lot of folks man a lot of prominent Democrats were met because what you don't want in an open primary like you want the voters to ultimately have the say the say right but when the incumbent governor who's still relatively popular like Tony Evers say whatever you want about him across some Republicans independence moderates and Democrats his approval rating stayed above water So he's relatively popular but also Tony Evers endorsing supporting

traveling the state with raising money for David Crowley really tipped the scales.

In favor of David Crowley, and dare I say, it had some influence on David Crowley narrowly winning the Democratic primary, which I believe was somewhere around August 18th, August 14th.

David Crowley won by what, 3,000 votes, 3,900 votes, 3,200 votes?

Francesca Hong was a very, very close second, but also attributed that to Kelder Roy's staying in the race and getting 60,000 votes.

Half of those 60,000 votes that Kelder received, I know would have gone to France, maybe even more.

So had Kelder dropped out of the race and she never had a pathway to victory either.

There was no realistic way for Kelder Roy's, the senator who represents Madison.

To get the nomination she stayed in as a spoiler Maybe she wanted to spoil it for Francesca because Kelda who's been around Wisconsin politics for two decades and also is a Senior stateswoman compared to Francesca because Kelda is the senator Francesca is the assembly woman and Kelda was gonna be damned if she dropped out of the race as a senator

who represents three times the people as Francesca.

Kelda just stayed in the race because the airing is, and I can say that because I've known Kelda for 25 years.

She's a very nice lady, but if you tell her not to do something, she's going to do a times 10.

But had Kelda dropped out of the race, whether she endorsed Francesca or not, Francesca would have gotten the nomination.

So the votes that Kelda took siphoned off votes that I think Francesca Hong needed in order to be the nominee of Francesca ran.

A campaign that was very grassroots.

It was very in touch.

She's very likable.

Hell, when I interviewed, I was like, oh, she's a decent lady.

That's our policies I don't particularly agree with.

Let me also say this as Democratic Socialists.

Welcome to our three of the truth with me Sherwin Hughes If you are participating via YouTube, you'll notice a poll as I put a poll up every day Today, it's asking a very simple question.

Have you donated to a political campaign in 2026?

76% of you have not

Not trying to make you feel guilty, but I want to give some explanation as to why Other interests contribute heavily in these campaigns and oftentimes their interests get represented in policy first Because they bought the democracy which ladies gentlemen Is for sale why cuz everything is for sale

Your employer buys your skill sets from you and you negotiated a price in which you would sell yourself your time your hours To your employer your for sale If you sign a contract to sell your products your products are for sale If you're an athlete And there is a team that wants your athleticism your ass is for sale

Everything is for sale Some women won't date you fellas unless you have a certain amount of money and spend it on her because guess what she also is It's for sale Man, we're we're not for sale.

We're free.

We don't you don't got to spend no money on us really I mean, it's nice if you do but we certainly can't expect it I Have grown weary of

The Democrats in particular because I don't want them to insult anybody's intelligence.

Listen, we know that money has an influence in politics.

We know that But when they point their fingers and say oh look at these billionaires That are funding these Republicans and then they try to be righteous about it like oh, we're not being funded by billionaires Yes, you are and we understand that and the reason why I understand is because the poll that I'm asking of people that I know are politically astute because if you're not you would not listen to this show

This show for people that don't understand politics is like kryptonite.

They don't listen to it So I know that I'm talking to folks that vote that get it They want to elect policymakers that'll help create a better policy of life I've been talking to these folks for many many years, but when they don't contribute then something is really a mess and I'm not trying to say what is right what is wrong

But we do not contribute and I also have some reasons as to why I believe African Americans in particular because not all of my listeners with black folks a lot of them are But there are some things eating away at our resources our money and our assets And I want to outline that later on the program and it leads to other deficiencies that we have as black folks like when I saw the eviction data Holy smokes, it's bad.

It's really bad and it's not just

Black women is black men, too Now I don't want to assign Financial irresponsibility to women because that's not fair because I know a bunch of financially irresponsible men But also what I know should not be representative of the whole But oh my god black men who are supposed to be the breadwinners, right?

We get our status from how much money we have don't we men of any race because if you're a broke man you just aren't good

for anybody Let alone a woman not good for yourself But the number of of black men that have like multiple evictions in the city of someone had posted in the YouTube comments earlier something 11,000 plus eviction filing just in Milwaukee over the From the past 12 months.

That's awful.

But then there's also industries that are outlined that are intentionally Overcharging African-Americans and some of these companies and industries and corporations have been caught and they've been sued

But then there are some that haven't been caught yet.

So there's a number of covert racist things that are hurting African Americans bottom line.

Because I really do believe that if we had more money and had more disposable income, I believe that some of us would contribute more to political candidates.

But what we do as Black folks is we focus on the overt racism.

And I know overt racism.

I'm sure you all do, too.

And I'd say heed for it, because I have a Tesla.

And Elon Musk is an overt racist.

And it's easy to point to him, because we don't recognize covert racism.

Covert racism, ladies and gentlemen, is a white-owned bar that sells Hennessy, tequila, lemon drops, and chicken wings so they can drain our goddamn pockets as black folks so we will not have money that we can contribute to political candidates that might go against their best interests.

So you never thought of it that way.

You will welcome black folks in and take our money.

In fact, if you can sell our culture back to us, you're probably one of the most effective kind of races.

We also think that because some white women desire us and fetishize us, we look at that as status.

That's racism too.

That is us as black men in particular.

being completely objectified, and we should have learned that from the way white men have fetishized and objectified the black woman's body since slavery.

The white women are the exact same way.

And for some reason we get some kind of status from it.

Now, race plays a factor, but I also know that when it comes to individual and interpersonal relationships, that dynamic can sometimes be even bigger than social and cultural stereotypes.

But for the most part, black men aren't really wanted like that.

We're fetishized, or she knows to make her father really angry.

She'll date black men.

Ain't got nothing to do with us.

We are a means to an end, not an end in itself.

Or, because white women know what kind of status they occupy in this society, trust me.

They're the reasons why we are the way we are.

Who do you think is raising the next generations of races?

Who do you think voted in a majority number for Donald Trump even after he and the Republicans that serve him took away their right to choose?

Oh, they're right there.

The white women are.

But if they cry, a law will get passed if a white woman cries over white woman sheds tears.

The police are coming and all of our black asses are getting arrested.

So they know exactly what they are doing, but it's covert racism that we simply cannot see.

We think because someone is nice to us or they like us or they come to our events or they come to our rallies that they like us.

Maybe some do, but you also need to make sure that blackness doesn't get too far ahead.

They got to stay close to us.

They got to see what we're doing.

They got to see what we're planning and how we're doing it and how we're planning it so they know how to usurp it.

Like that's the first thing you got to know about white supremacy.

It's not loud and boisterous like it used to be.

It's not the sign on the door that says no niggers allowed.

It's now we're going to check your credit score before we extends you an offer of employment.

We're the biggest victims of that and we still don't see it.

We learn it the hard way and we wonder why still still after 70 years after Jim Crow supposedly ended we are in some cases in a worse position socially and academically than we were 70 years ago yet I wonder why that is because there are allies people we think that are allies that are surrounding us they're learning us and they are creating strategies and policies to make sure that we do not succeed that is what America is

And here at the same time, they want us to say, oh, racism was a long time ago.

That's the thing in the past.

Oh, sure.

When ain't nobody racist no more.

That's called gaslighting.

You guys know what that is, right?

Because you popularize it on TikTok.

But when white folks gaslight us, we don't even see it.

Women get on social media talking about all these men are gaslighting.

White folks is gaslighting YouTube, but you don't recognize that.

But I'm troubled that.

I just want a level of consistency If the Democrats were like yeah, we accept billionaire money Because billionaire money is long not every billionaire ladies and gentlemen some evil mad scientists But because the Democrats have done a really good job of saying ooh the Republicans Are getting all this billionaire money, and they're the mad crazy Evil ones get Democrats.

You know that there's some liberals Didn't have a lot of money did you guys know that?

The Democratic Party is elite and I think that's why they lost working class people.

It's why Bernie Sanders was something different in 2016 because those folks who had gone like Reagan Republicans came back and consider voting for Bernie Sanders and in some primaries they did because Bernie Sanders was speaking the language of the white middle class, the white working class.

Democrats have become elite.

They're highly educated.

They're sophisticated.

Hillary Clinton was an example of that.

What does she call the Trump supporters?

You remember a basket of deplorables and you know who agreed with her?

People that also see the Democrats as highly educated, more sophisticated, et cetera, et cetera.

That ladies and gentlemen is called classism and it's very real in America and in some cases it's even more profound than racism.

Tom Tiffany leads in total money Crowley leads in direct individual donations and political action committee receipts in the latest filing as of October 28th 2026 the latest regular reports cover activity through October 19th Money received in 2026 David Crowley versus Tom Tiffany

Total receipts reported David Crowley twenty six million seven hundred fifty thousand dollars and let me stop for a second on that for a black candidate.

That's big ass money David Crowley raised I'd imagine if we include the the following week so these totals go up to October 19 David Collie is gonna raise over thirty million dollars.

That ain't no small potatoes Tom Tiffany his receipts are forty nine million seven hundred ten thousand so

Advantage Direct individual contributions.

So these are checks written from regular normal people I shouldn't say regular normal people because some of these people are rich in fact the maximum dollar mile you as an individual can give a candidate for governor is $20,000 and trust me when I tell you I think I might even have their names.

There's a number of people

in the state of Wisconsin have given David Crowley $20,000 that are liberals that are left-leaning that are Democrats and in a couple of cases they might even be billionaires.

So David Crowley has received $10,800,000 from individuals, but here's what's crazy.

Tom Tiffany's only received $5.8 million from individuals.

So David Crowley has essentially doubled the amount of money he has collected from individual donors versus Tom Tiffany.

transfers from parties, political action committees, and other campaign committees combined.

David Crowley got 15,930,000 from political parties, political action committees, and other campaign committees combined.

And this is where I think the Democrats get real angry and say, oh, these Republicans are getting all this money from these billionaires because Tom Tiffany's party transfers is 43.86 million.

That's the vast majority of Tom Tiffany's money.

He's gotten it from the Wisconsin Republican Party, but billionaires have contributed to the Wisconsin Republican Party and the room Wisconsin Republican Party has given a disproportionate amount of that money to Tom Tiffany But those billionaires have given money to all of the Republican candidates in the state now Tom Tiffany has gotten a lot more of it But David Crowley has gotten party money as well Tiffany

His largest direct funding source is the Wisconsin Republican Party behind that party money are Diane Hendricks who gave the party 23 million dollars in 2026 and Richard and Elizabeth E line who together gave more than 32 million So they gave a total of 55 million and Tom Tiffany has gotten 43 million of that That's because Tom Tiffany hasn't gotten individual donations

Probably because a lot of would-be Republican voters in the state of Wisconsin are hit so hard by inflation and by increased prices and tariffs They don't have money to give Tom Tiffany But David Crowley has raised double the individual contributions as Tom Tiffany Crowley his largest funding source is the Wisconsin Democratic Party

It's leading individual donors this year are home.

Oh my god.

I know you I just talked about this dude yesterday I Brought up Reed Hoffman Who was the founder of LinkedIn who sold LinkedIn for 26 billion dollars?

That billionaire he's worth.

What's he worth?

Do I have here somewhere?

Reed Hoffman, it's estimated he's worth 1.5 billion dollars.

Guess what?

He is David Crowley's biggest donor.

Hold on.

Wait a minute.

You mean David Crowley's getting money from billionaires, too?

And I'm saying this to be facetious because I know billionaires give money to Democrats.

Yet the Democrats are being all righteous and saying, no, the billionaires are funding the Republican.

David Crowley's biggest donor.

He's got more than that.

Hold on.

How many you got?

I'm not holding this against David Crowley.

I'm just trying to show the hypocrisy in the Democrats.

His largest funding source ultimately is the Wisconsin Democratic Party.

That's because billionaires can give money directly to the political party itself his leading individual donor is Reid Hoffman who gave 8.75 million dollars I Know you lying to me Michael Bloomberg who ran for president a couple cycles ago, you know, he's a multi-billionaire, so he's got hundreds of billions of dollars He contributed two million dollars a David Crowley Lynn Schuster men

Who's a Jewish philanthropist lady gave David Crowley 1.5 million dollars?

And I'm saying this just to say he's getting billionaire cash too because billionaire money is long I'm gonna take a break come back Talk to Al on the other side, but just need to clear this up

The Democrats don't have their hands clean and get money from billionaires.

But here's what the Democrats say.

We can't help who gives us money.

Boo boo, I know you can't and it's OK.

But you can't accept money from billionaires and then point the finger at the Republicans that are also accepting money from the billionaires.

And in some cases, billionaires is giving money to both sides.

Let's just not be hippers.

You know what I mean?

It's all good because we as individuals are not contributing.

the lion share of the campaign dollars that the candidates and the parties need to be competitive.

So they got to get the money from somewhere.

But Reid Hoffman shocks me like that one.

I didn't know he sold the he sold LinkedIn for twenty six billion.

He's worth one point five billion.

And that's David Crowley's biggest single donor is Reid Hoffman, who was a billionaire from selling the social media professional networking app called LinkedIn.

Let's talk to you.

Al you're on one on one seven the truth.

How are you?

I am doing good.

It's a wonderful day.

You know, I heard y'all talking about, you know, black.

You know what?

I think black men need to start giving themselves more credit.

See, I think the problem is that everybody knows the power of the black man, except the black man.

I think y'all need to stop walking on tippy toes and stomp your feet like you got two semi trucks in it.

See, a lot of times y'all go out the way not to make people uncomfortable after you're uncomfortable.

Just be you.

If you look at history, everybody is so hard on the black man.

But they ain't hard on it because you're good looking.

They're hard on it because they recognize your power.

And some of y'all have supernatural power, but y'all are afraid to use it.

And some of y'all don't use it all.

But if y'all recognize your own power and you made it a force not to be reckoned with, we wouldn't be in this right disposition right now.

If you can look at the fact of all these people who run these, quote unquote, black businesses and run them like a business, you'll get that with me on the line for his money.

And you'll look at him in his face and say, I'm going to take your business.

Try me.

Try me, B. Try me.

But I think black men have been so conditioned that y'all have to understand you're the commodity.

You're the drug.

So y'all need to start acting like it.

When y'all see a white man, don't look down at the ground, look him in the face.

Even smile and give him a little grin.

So y'all got to take something that y'all was giving at birth and use it.

Now, I don't just step about here, y'all, messing with the white women.

That's bottom of the barrel.

That's stuck in the 70s.

Because even if you wasn't messing with his women, he would still be intimidated by you.

Because back in the day, the scientists wasn't even, they wouldn't save your brains.

They were saving your penises.

Y'all can do y'all research.

You can smoke this and dirty in this.

Y'all have so many supernatural powers.

Use it.

That's all y'all gotta do.

Even if y'all just work together, I'm not saying whole hands to see hallelujah and kumbaya.

If two or three of y'all came together and came together with a plan, y'all could be running Milwaukee.

So what the F is the what the F is the goddamn problem?

Y'all figure that out and let us know

Sherwin Hughes

Be great.

Thank you.

All right.

Bye-bye Damn black men need to do it.

I'll sit Come together Some of the most prominent and influential leaders business leaders

stakeholders These are the individuals that are in very high demand in this city They're on some of the most prominent prestigious corporate boards And are very impactful on many different chambers of commerce are in fact Black men.

I believe the black men know what their power is, but it seems that we are a race of people in which our women are competing against us

And because we have a pseudo matriarchal society in black America in a patriarchal society there's a lot of There's a lot of tension and a lot of friction and if and there's also some stereotypes that black men are going to wear No matter what meaning if God forbid there's a single mother anywhere for any reason all the black man's a deadbeat he left you don't want to be with the kids

She might have told him to leave He might have got tired of fighting and struggling to see his kids and he knows that the court system is on her side There's some of us black men That have just they grow weary of it, but then there's also black men who are let's say involved in a criminal justice system And that can be a problem as well.

You know how many black women

Try to control black men because I think everybody knows and appreciates our power and I'm just stating some obvious facts I'm stating stuff that y'all already know but people don't oftentimes want to discuss If he's on probation or parole, she'll threaten to call his PO if he don't act right if he don't listen to her and do exactly what she says even though she may be Manipulating him you how many black men have gone back to jail or even worse gotten their brains blown out because they black woman

threatened to call the police on him and did and he didn't want to go back to jail.

Now his brains have been scattered all over the couch.

But I know people, people know the power and the impact of black men.

David Crowley is running for governor.

I'd say that's a pretty powerful black man.

Now, you may not like him for whatever reason, but I believe that the mayor of the only class A city in the state of Wisconsin is also a black man.

Mind you a city that is about to have a world series championship baseball team and we have a World Championship basketball team too.

I believe that's the black man if I'm not mistaken I think the chief of the police is also a black man too.

So no, there's black men that have some exceptional power Andre story is the president of Columbia st.

Mary's the president of a multi-billion dollar health care network hospital system.

So I think the

Power of black men is understood.

Here's the thing.

It intimidates people.

It unjust intimidate white folks.

It intimidates black women, too, because they want to be the prominent ones to represent our community.

But that's a discussion for another day.

I want to share with you the other details about how these billionaires are involving themselves in our politics and what the Democrats have done.

I'm bringing this to light.

Because they got to stop with a hypocrisy that make it seem like these big bad evil billionaires are funding the Republicans campaigns exclusively I actually I've counted more billionaires that are funding Democrats the Democratic Party and David Crowley like raw numbers of billionaires That are funding Democrats there's more there's more of them.

They're giving less but there's more of them funding Democrats, but that that's perfectly okay

But if a billionaire has given money to a Republican and in some cases the Elan family has given millions of dollars to both Democrats and Republicans David Crowley his largest funding source is the Wisconsin Democratic Party.

It's leading individual donors this year is Reid Hoffman Who gave 8.75 million dollars?

He is the billionaire who sold the social networking

professional networking company LinkedIn for twenty six billion dollars he's worth about one point five billion Michael Bloomberg has given David Crowley or at least the Wisconsin Democratic Party which is now of course supporting David Crowley two million dollars Michael Bloomberg is worth better than a hundred billion dollars himself Lynn Schusterman who is a billionaire philanthropist has given one point five million dollars to Crowley

Lindy eline has given one million dollars to the Crowley campaign there with the eline family their Descendants of the folks who built the railroads a hundred and some years ago Like it's even better direct individual donors previously published donor lists now show twenty thousand dollars from Diane Hendricks both elines and several link family members to Tom Tiffany and twenty thousand dollars each from

Chris ably but ceiling of the brewers He's a billionaire to any I'd imagine close to it He gave $20,000 the maximum personal contribution to David Crowley I Know you lying to me Alex Lazarie whose daddy bought and then sold the Milwaukee Bucks

He so Alex last I call him a billionaire too because his daddy's a billionaire He gave David Crowley the maximum individual contribution of $20,000 and this one is shocking the hell out of me.

You guys know who Rory Gates is.

I know that last name sound familiar That's Bill Gates's son Gave $20,000 to David Crowley.

So can we chill with the the billionaires are only giving money to the Republicans?

No boo boo.

No, no, no

Talk to Linda Linda you're on one on one seven the truth.

How are you?

Good morning professor.

It's a great day and good morning to all the beautiful people of Milwaukee and Yes, Sharon.

I really think we need to tone down that we don't have white friends We may not have they may not be personally loving us but

I think that, you know, I think about the man from Madison for Sherwin.

When you say those things, who died and the freedom when they was traveling.

I can't think of it now, but yeah, he was the first white man that died on the freedom.

The bus riders, but yeah, because we have a lot of white people that, you know, support the cause of what is right.

by black people, by people, period, you know, of the inhumane treatment.

That's that's where we get our support from.

But are we bad fellows?

No, but I appreciate any non black support for the cause.

But I wanted to

Sherwin Hughes

transact.

It's like some people believe that men and women can actually be friends and maybe they can.

And maybe he's a really good friend this man is a good friend to this woman and he's nice to her and if she needs help he'll help because you know he's a friend but at the end of the day he'd sleep with her in a second.

So I'm not saying that we don't have white friends but they still it's transactional for them if they're doing something to help us they want something they want access they want closeness they want to better understand who we are so it's it can be disingenuous but it'll look

Like friendship because black folks have such a low standard for friendship and something else that we do we love and forgive everybody Dylan roof can come blow right nine black people in a goddamn church reading the Bible and we forgave him that same day Yeah, yeah, we love everybody.

We love strangers and I love home or blow I legitimately love home or blow but home or blow love everybody in a goddamn YouTube chat some of the people in the YouTube channel Rob home or blind if they could but he love him He love and appreciate that not me.

I don't know

But to know another thing I don't understand, Sharon, about the human psyche, how sports.

things to bring us all together.

We don't have no kind of bias, no kind of racial issues.

We high five each other, hug each other.

It just amazes me.

And then when it's all over, we go back to our segregated places of living and thinking.

I just don't understand that.

Sherwin Hughes

But when

you talked about the black man, man, that is really touching home to me, maybe because both my brothers are gone now.

And I found value in my experience growing up between two brothers and becoming a sister to their friends.

Their friends became my brothers and marrying a man who.

whose childhood friends became my god brothers and then having three sons whose friends became my friends.

I was just engulfed with testosterone.

Okay, so I really got to understand the the man and the psyche in his youth and his adulthood and that's why I tell you and I tell all my brothers don't let anyone infiltrate the brotherhood man because that is your unity that's your religion and that's really your

what you need in this world.

Like you said, so many are coming after you, want to be you, and don't really understand you.

You know, it's like Tupac said, all eyes on me, but nobody see me.

And I think that that's the black man.

But I want to say this too, Sherwin, that in the last 400 years, I just found this out, that in the last 400 years,

black boys and men between 16 and 29, suicide radius surpassing that of white men in 400 years.

And that sisters fighting each other over the same men and black brothers, I'm just really, we have reached an all-time low with our disconnect within the black unit.

You know with the black man black woman black family It seems like we've had a we're at an all-time low of disconnect and dysfunction and that that concerns me

Sherwin Hughes

It concerns me too Linda and I appreciate you called what I'm gonna leave you with some parting words.

You ready for him Yes, sir Linda these hoes ain't loyal Bye bye Linda.

toward a black person, even the tiniest kindness, we will give them access to everything.

Not always good.

Now, here's the thing.

You don't know who has malicious intent and who does not.

Because they may look the exact same way they may approach the same way.

What we do is we fixate on the obvious races.

Right.

And then we'll shame.

Black people like, oh, sure.

I get it a lot.

Oh, sure.

When you drive a Tesla.

And Elon Musk is a racist shirt.

Look at you that billionaire evil man Elon Musk Yeah, but your ass has been evicted 74 times because there's industry that you participate in that are siphoning your money Lessening your ability to do a couple of things take care of yourself pay your rent pay your bills and even contribute to political campaigns But you don't recognize that I Have a list like some of this stuff is is mind-blowing I want to get to the statistics of

like how much higher our eviction rate, like black people are a smaller share of renters, but our eviction rates are two and three times that of white people.

It's really, really bad.

And in Milwaukee, it's exceptionally exacerbated.

I'm gonna give you a couple of industries in which black people are charged more money, taking more money away from our assets and from our disposable income.

Ride hailing apps.

Hold on.

You're gonna freak out.

Some of y'all use the Uber and use the lift and lift in the Uber, okay?

George Washington University researchers analyzed more than a hundred million Chicago trips and reported that higher fare prices associated with black neighborhoods have higher rates.

Just arbitrarily because, you know, black people getting in your Uber apparently were more likely to kill you.

Life insurance using external data and predictive models.

New York's insurance regulator warned that geography, education, credit, homeownership, and other data can conceal prohibited race-based underwriting that can affect insurance premiums for African Americans.

Auto insurance.

Premiums combined.

Territory driving history coverage.

credit score Discounts and other factors public data may not reveal each insurer's actual Expected losses, but they are using other factors to charge black people more money.

So this is and so this also relates to Like why we may have higher eviction rates because I'd imagine Some of it has to do with people not paying the rent on time and that's an economic and financial issue But then let's look at the other ways in which our money is going out

the door that we don't even know it.

But that's the kind of racism we have to be concerned about.

It's not the white person running around screaming inward.

I mean, it's good that they will identify themselves that way.

But they make the ones you got to worry about, because chances are if you have a white person that's that overt with their racism, they probably ain't got no damn money anyway.

Only broke white people going to be screaming inward.

Rich ones will invite you to their house.

It's different.

Broadband and home internet They said the monthly bill is the same but speeds are reduced in black communities that's see there when you're trying to download your Your movies and you live in a black neighborhood like that's just mean Let's make the niggers internet slower Mortgage closing and settlement services

Total closing costs combined, lender charges, points and third-party services, loan size and product differences complicate the comparisons even further.

Strong evidence of unequal fee burdens on checking accounts.

Car financing and add-on products.

Negotiated vehicle prices down payments loan terms interest markups and optional products are bundled into the monthly payment that are Disproportionately thrown in the loans of African-American borrowers and we don't even know it What else we got here Oh, this is the rest of this stuff is eviction data.

Oh, no somebody said in the YouTube chat

It was 11,000 eviction filings in the city of Milwaukee.

It's 12,348.

Black renters representation in filings per renter is 4.2 times renters and 2.4 times Hispanic renters.

Wait, we gotta figure this out now.

Why are the blacks getting evicted?

Are you making too much noise or is it because you're not paying your rent?

12,348 eviction filings over the last 12 months.

Approximately 6 filings per 100 renter households.

Approximately 4% of distinct renter households faced an eviction filing at any point in time.

and 18% serial filing measure indicating repeated cases against some households.

So not only are black people being evicted, they're being evicted multiple times.

I would rather us buy houses, but hell, you can get evicted from your house because if you're not paying your mortgage.

All right, I'm going to take a break, come back.

I want to dig into this.

The African-American rates of eviction and their highest Milwaukee is not the highest.

Thank God.

I think Memphis is higher than us, but we're certainly in the top 10.

Linda you ain't got to go back no 70 years to find a single white person that died on behalf of black cause I don't prove a damn thing He was a Jew too he was like all Jewish people had just gotta keep in mind the Holocaust was relatively recent of the civil rights struggle it was like 10 years before and so Schwarmer he was like oh snap black people are really getting it here's the thing the Klan hates Jews as much as black people so that doesn't

Elevate him nor white people to some vaunted status like oh look white people are dying for us.

He was Jewish and understood oppression Like all let me go down here and register some black people to vote and they killed him too, but they would have killed him as a Jew anyway I Do want to touch on something in the YouTube chat Where on cage says to white fella the elites probably hate you more than they hate me.

I'm assuming that on cage is black

Just because you're white and still not an elite you waste is your advantage.

So on case you are a hundred percent correct, but so Wealthy elite white people hate poor white trash Hate them What a Hillary Clinton Hillary Clinton is an elite.

Let's be clear.

This cuz she's a Democrat don't mean she's not an elite Hillary Clinton called them a basket of deplorable, you know who she's talking about white trash.

Let me do you one better.

So with us

It was crack cocaine and so Colombian no central American drug lords were allowed to sell Cocaine and transport cocaine to the United States with the help of the CIA under Reagan Because Tip O'Neill when he was the Democratic leader of the House of Representatives was not going to write Ronald Reagan anymore

Taxpayer funded checks so that Ronald Reagan can fight these little wars against communism all over the country so a deal was made and that we would allow drug lures to sell cocaine which got turned into crack and major black American cities and some of that revenue was used to fight

and the war against the Contras and the Sandinistas in Central America.

America wanted to be involved in that war, but Congress got tired of writing Ronald Reagan blank checks for his little play wars fighting against communism.

Why?

Because we learned our goddamn lesson from Vietnam.

And Ronald Reagan, he said, fine, we'll get the money from somewhere else, so they will use vulnerable communities, get them addicted, and then use the money and the profits and the proceeds to fight covert wars all over the world.

I'll fast forward.

Why do you think that we have offense in all crisis?

There was a heroin addiction that started as an addiction to opiates and pills Because Purdue pharma produced a brand new which they build as and promoted as a non addictive form of pill pain reliever oxy cotton and Got white people who worked in the coal mines of West Virginia hopelessly addicted

And I'm not even gonna tell you the numbers of people that died from opiate abuse heroin addiction, etc And it was almost exclusively white even though there is some opiate use and heroin addiction in the black community Not like it wasn't a white community.

Also, it should be noted and this is an unusual coincidence During the war on terrorists was before we invaded Iraq

The United States military controlled northern Afghanistan because apparently we were looking for Osama bin Laden or whatever I'm gonna mention we found him, but we were looking for him.

It's weird that when the Taliban was in control No opium and no poppy was flowing out of northern Afghanistan because the Taliban was so We're religiously strict and they were totally against drugs the Northern Alliance, which was the military force that was anti-Taliban was prevented and blocked from producing

Poppy which is a main ingredient in producing opium which is in These prescription drugs and heroin and painkillers etc when the United States occupied Northern Afghanistan so we kicked the Taliban out and our troops were occupying Northern Afghanistan for some reason now all of a sudden the Northern Alliance is now producing Poppy and the Silk Road was reopened and heroin was now flowing

all the way through Asia and into Europe and into the United States.

So I'm just going to give you some context here.

Crack funded covert war supported by the United States.

The Northern Alliance that was anti-Taliban, so was America, was also getting money from selling heroin to the United States of America.

And who did that addict?

So white people that vote for conservatives and Republicans and if you're poor and white and working class Yes, they hate you too.

It's a classist society But here's where the Republicans and the conservatives get to benefit because those poor white trash people that are being screwed over Probably worse than anybody else's because they have white skin.

You think they get some benefits.

They believe that they're better than black folks They're poor

Addicted have nothing but I love president Trump.

He gonna help me president Trump Will kill you if he could He just doesn't you don't care about but that's the trick though and Lyndon Johnson said if You can convince the lowest white man if you give him someone to look down on he doesn't mind that you're picking his pocket

In fact, he will give his money to you if you give him the lowest white man someone to look down on.

That philosophy is very, very true to this day.

This is a classist society that still can benefit from race because if working class white people realize that their material interests is tied to that of black people, and it always has been.

The reason why there was so much poverty in the South and why there probably still is, they never really recovered from slavery.

But why there was so much white poverty in the South during the antebellum period is because white people couldn't get jobs because if you purchased a slave you're not hiring a white person to do the work you own the black person if I own 38 white people Which feels like a lot of maintenance because they probably eat a lot And they probably got health care needs or whatever I wouldn't recommend it even if slavery came back as probably a hell of a commitment But let's say I own 38 white people and they did all of the work for me

They cleaned my house.

They cut my grass.

They did a little roofing.

They raked up my leaves in the fall.

They cleaned my windows.

I had had a whole bunch of whites that and I owned them.

I bought them at the auction.

Why would I hire a black wage worker to do the jobs that the white people that I purchased outright are doing?

You wouldn't.

So slavery is against the best economic interests.

of non slaves because if I can buy the slave and I owned them and I can make them and require them perform all of the labors that I would be paying somebody for why would I
