Marti Wronski from the Milwaukee Brewers Joins Truth To Power
The Truth Interviews · Mon Mar 23, 2026
the Brewer season is going to be underway coming up on Thursday and I am so excited to once again
to be joined by Marty Roskey the chief operating officer for the Milwaukee Brewer's Marty. Thank
you so much for joining us here today. How you doing? Hi, I'm great Kyle. So happy to be back.
Thanks for having me. Absolutely. Now Marty, we are only three days away, three days away from the
home opener in the season opener for the Milwaukee Brewer's. Why are you all so excited about this
2026 Brewer season? Oh, it is. It's exciting. I feel like a little kid, right? This is, I say,
this is my favorite holiday. I can't sleep leading up to opening day ever and there are 800
reasons. First of all, we're opening at home and it's been a minute. People are like, oh,
is this so much earlier? It's not. It's just that we actually get to open at home this year with
being able to kick off at home with that amazing energy. There's nothing like it. So you're right,
this Thursday, one 10. And then we're also at home Saturday and Sunday. So Thursday, Saturday,
Sunday, it is still tickets. In particular for Saturday and Sunday, a few for Thursday.
But hey, look, that team looks incredible. I was out in Phoenix for a while. We've got, you know,
we have those guys of the WBC, which was so much fun to watch. They are so fired up and came
back with a new, a new energy. But I'm literally staring out my window at the field right now. I've
never seen a green like this at this time of year in Wisconsin just seeds the soul in a way that
nothing else does. So so excited to see the guys back out there. We've got 24 gate giveaways
this year. That an incredible field. 24, my friend. That's right. We've got our theme nights back.
We've got our community nights back. And you know, we've got that young, hungry core of this team
back together with Merp. So, you know, I think everybody got a case last year, Kyle, of what we,
I say, we globally, right? This team really can do. And how important the fans are to what we do.
So I mean, I could go on and on and bore you with every little thing I'm excited about.
But at the end of the day, we're putting a great product back in the field. This ballpark is
ready to roll. It's just going to be a fantastic season. Marty, there is nothing boring when you
talk about fees, Milwaukee brewers, the rating back. I believe is it back to back to back in
essential champions three times in a row. It's as being a brewers family whole entire life. I
remember going to American family field where, you know, we weren't that good. And now they'll be
talking about back to back to back in our central division champions record breaking season
last year, making it back to the NLC. So we should be talking excitement with this baseball team.
It's nothing boring about the brewers, but Marty with that as well. Brewer's TV is launching
this season, 1999 per month or $100 for the year. What should fans expect with this brand new
streaming option for them? Yeah. So first of all, I want to be clear. If you saw a brewers game
on your television last year, you are, you should be able to get the brewers game on your television
again this year. I know there's my mom decided to me this weekend. Wait a minute. I can only watch
it on my phone. I said, no, no, no, no, no, I know it's a little bit confusing. But here's the deal.
We really just changed our provider. You know, we're producing these games ourselves with MLB now.
So new brewers TV together with Padawada. It's going to be incredibly exciting. So we will have
those stations out that you can watch on TV right in the next couple days. MLB negotiators,
those deals with the providers. That information is coming. Please just be patient with us.
But if you want to be able to stream us and watch us on your, you know, you know,
those dinners where you just kind of want to be able to peek at your phone and see what's
happening with your crew, those kinds of things. Go to brewers.com forward slash watch.
It is clear as a value. You'll see the different ways you can, you know, you can do a monthly
subscription. You can do the annual subscription. The different ways you can stream brewers right
from your phone, from any of your smart devices. And it's going to be, you know, look, it's the same
crew coming back. We've got Bill and Brian and the whole crew do not worry about that. It's going
to be look exactly the same. But we want those subscriptions. We want our fans to be able to watch
us. And you know, there are fans, people don't realize this. There's a lot of fans in places in
Wisconsin that cannot get us on TV. And this is their shot. This is their shot to be able to stream
us, to be able to see no blackouts and to be able to have us with them all the time. You know,
we hate that because, you know, you want to be able to watch us. That's how you get into that,
you get that brewers fever, right? To be able to see these guys performing. So this streaming
service is it. Like I said, jump online brewers.com forward slash watch. That simple watch,
W-A-T-C-H. It will give you your options. It will walk you through the whole thing. I did it
myself. So I would know exactly what I was telling people. It is easy as pie and you'll be able to
watch us anywhere. You are, you know, boring dinners, exciting dinners. You can be at another
game watching us on your phone. If you want, you know, just, you'll have us with us. You'll have
us with you anywhere and no blackouts. That is exciting here. I know my lady's dad. He went and
signed up for that because he said he's not missing a single brewers game this year. Now the new
thing. I like that guy. Oh, oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Whenever we're going to be with him, I
want to be able to watch the brewers. The new UW Credit Union Plaza, it really extends the
ballpark beyond the gates. What was the vision behind creating that kind of open year-round gathering
space? Yeah, I'm really excited about the UW Credit Union Plaza. So right over the pedestrian
bridge, this is a project that we should be opening midsummer right around June. And the idea
is this we're seeing people still love to tailgate, right? But the younger and younger generations,
right? They don't love necessarily all the work that goes into packing your grill and, you know,
knowing how to start a grill and doing all that, you know, packing your groceries to get out to the
game and actually tailgate. So the idea was we were hearing from fans that they wanted that community
experience of gathering with people before the game, but didn't necessarily want the hassle of
packing the car up in whatever else. So this experience out in the plaza, we're going to do the project
in two phases. This first phase, we're going to have a large beer garden to gather with some
food trucks and some other things, a kids play space and a mini golf course. That will all be opening
in mid-June. Yep, little mini golf course and all of it is a nod to the state of Wisconsin. You'll
see that theme all the way through the plaza space. But you know, we're going to have in that beer
garden picnic table to hang out at. We're going to have little FMB, that food and beverage that
anybody can grab. A great space to meet up with your friends before the game to just spend a
little time, but to be able to have that snack and spend some time out here with friends and
families. And then phase two of it, which will open for 2027, we are actually going to open two
on the sort of flip side. But adjacent to the kids and family spaces, we're going to open a new
food area where it's got to have a wonderful bar, a ton of TVs, some food and it'll have a
second story deck. Yeah, it'll have a second story deck. I can't wait for this. Yep, it is
free to enter these spaces, right? You don't have to pay to get to them. And so, you know, to
enter you. So it's for all of our fans to really enjoy together the space before the game. So it's
we're so excited. The designs are incredible. It's hard to believe we're, you know, squeaking that
construction through here with the weather, the way it's been. Hey, Wisconsin fans turn out. So
we are building through it. We're going to have games. It's like I said, it's unbelievable. You
know, we've got a, we have an exhibition game here tonight. And I'm actually, as I look out at the
field, the players are starting to show up for both teams. So, you know, it's real. It's real. It's
real. It's your Kyle. They're back from they're back from Arizona and they're right here in Milwaukee.
It is real. I know I can go so deep about the Brewers and how the future is brighter than what
anybody could imagine, especially if you watched the world baseball classic. You got guys that
got drafted last year, making it to the semi finals like Andrew Fisher. I mean, it is, it is so
exciting. I can just go on and on. But I know something on a lot of people's minds is there's
quite a bit of construction around American family field this year. What guide is Marty? Would
you like to provide fans attending games this year? Yeah. So look, I'm going to it's interesting. The
we say traffic in Wisconsin and everybody's alarm bells go up. There is more construction in
the area and you know, our fans know that than than normal seasons. But we have been hard at work
all off season. The DOT has been an incredible partner to us. And we've really worked together to
be absolutely sure that our fans have, you know, confined the path of least resistance. There'll
be times that there's no issues at all. There'll be other times when, you know, we've got we just
have to pay attention and watch out for things. So again, if Bruce dot com forward slash traffic and
then we've got all sorts of QR codes all over the ballpark. All we're asking fans to do is check
in on those to those locations. Okay. You're going to it's going to come up on your app when you buy
your parking pass and everything else. All this website is going to do. We created it with the DOT.
It's going to just say, Hey, which direction are you coming from? You tap it in and it tells you
what the traffic's like. What's your fastest way to get to the park? Same thing when you're leaving
after you're again, you tap it. Yep. You're going to you're going to you're going to go onto that
site. You know, again, QR codes, you're going to see all over the place. We're trying to make this
as easy as possible for folks. You're going to tap on it. You're going to say, Hey, I'm leaving,
you know, the outlawed leaving the mallet or a lot. And I want to go east or I want to go west
or north or south. You just tap that in and it says, Okay, this is the direction you should take
right now. And this is how long it's going to take. So we look, my great hope is that we have
sort of overly planned and prepared for this, right? So that fans really have the best possible
path. We've also got a lot of things that we're going to some special things, right? That we're
doing after the games. So if people want to hang out a little bit, let traffic clear a little bit.
They can absolutely do that, right? We're in fact, in fact, we're we've got moments where we're
going to show the youker, there's sort of a youker film coming out. Yep. And so, you know,
it's a great opportunity and we're trying to think about things that we can do and share with
our fans after games, you know, they just let that traffic spread its way out a little bit.
But hey, the good news is this, the part of the entire purpose for the work that the DOT is doing,
is to make ingress and egress to the ballpark that much easier, right? So not not if we can grind
through this little bit of of traffic coming and going from the park. We're going to all be in a
much better position. So it's going to take us to a great spot. Yeah. And then you know, we blink
up and say, Oh, wow, this is great. This is perfect. Just like my mama walkie brewers. By the way,
I'm going to Nashville in a couple in a month from now. And I I plan on going to see those
Nashville sound. I'm really excited about that because see something that the young the young
guns coming up soon. But lastly, Marty tickets are sold out for the home open. I was told, but
that's okay. We've got more games coming up. Like you said, on on Saturday and Sunday,
how can fans get tickets for every game this season at American Family Field to see our brewers?
Brewers.com forward slash tickets. Anytime you can jump right on that, it'll show you. I also want
you to know, we, you know, we always have to hold back a few tickets for opening day for,
you know, the opposing team for, you know, those kinds of things. There may be a few releases of
tickets in the next few days here. So if you're dying, just check that website each day and see if
you can capture, you know, we're going to release them slowly as others tell us they don't need
us to hold them anymore. So you can peek for that. But brewers.com forward slash tickets for all
these games that are coming up. And in fact, this is a kids cheerfree Sunday. So take a look at that
promotion. We're trying to do so much more on Sundays for families and kids to show how important
families really are to us and how much we want to, you know, sort of grow that next generation
fan. Kids cheerfree this Sunday. Kids are free. One child is free with the purchase of an adult
tariff level ticket. So perfect weekend to try that out. Yep. That's the first three Sundays of
the season. We want to get those kiddos in here with their families. So take a look. It's going
to be a really exciting opening home stand. Well, thank you so much. Marty, Ronsky, the Chief
Operating Officer for the Milwaukee Brewers. Thanks for joining us here today as we get ready for
another spectacular Milwaukee Brewer season. Love your energy, my friend. Thanks for having me, Kyle.
Go Brewers. Go Brewers. Yes. Yes. Yes. Always love having Marty. She's always fantastic,
Truth Nation. Again, thank you to Marty Ronsky for joining us to make sure you don't miss any
other Brewers action by purchasing Brewers TV for you. The 1999 a month or $100 a year by going
to Brewers.com slash watch and make sure you buy tickets at Brewers.com slash tickets as well.
And stay tuned for the channel announcement coming out on Thursday for us folks who have cable.
But Truth Nation, we come back. I want to get personal. I want to get personal. We come back
because I encounter something where I think Truth Nation, I may be racist. And I'm really
disappointed about that. I know it's just crazy, but I'ma let y'all know. Y'all let me know what
y'all think, but I think I might be racist. Truth to power with Kyle Wallace returns after this
on 1017 the Truth, the Truth app and streaming live on 1017 the Truth on YouTube.
