Pat, I know that you guys do many different things, and I know that if I'm not mistaken,

was it your dad that started this in the community, correct the business?

If you can talk about how you all came about, and what you guys do, I'd appreciate that.

Yeah, you bet, Paul.

Yeah, actually, so I'm a technically third generation.

My grandpa started the business as France Sales and Service in 1957, and then my dad

Gary bought the gas portion of that business back in 1990, so that's when France propane

started.

So today, it's owned by myself, and my dad, my dad is still very active, and actually

so he still hauls quite a bit of gas.

So yeah, we service Central Wisconsin.

We handle propane for residential, commercial, and agricultural applications.

We also take care of forklift gas service temporary construction heat and auto gas, which

is the term I talked about a little bit last time I was on the show, but it's a term used

for propane that fuels vehicles, and propane is produced domestically and is a clean

burning fuel.

Perfect.

Don't tell me that you're on the radio and your dad's out working this morning.

Don't tell me that, Pat.

Well, no, I'm not right now.

Before you're saying is that what you're going to do whatever it takes, sometimes I'm in

the office, sometimes we're out in the field.

Gotcha, gotcha.

We're going to have you and sell, pick some games here, and just so you know, I'm going

to put this up, you know, the final things, because Sully never like says after he does it.

He never says like what his record is, and this is going to be at one week, I'm going

to post this like somewhere, so everybody can see this.

It's going to be you, Sully against Pat on this, and I'm going to have the final mark.

So I just so you know, you better take this seriously, because I'm going to make sure

that Pat if makes, if he posts this, it'll be the last time you hear him on the radio here.

Better audit those results.

Yeah, we got the first one that you're going to go first, Pat.

It's going to go some Michigan at Ohio State.

The Buckeyes have lost three straight, the OSU is in the 12 game affair.

They are playing for home field.

They're going to be the 12 team affair, I should say.

They're going to be in that tournament.

Who do you think Michigan or Ohio State?

Well, I think in a Ohio State at home playing for home field advantage, I'll take the Buckeyes.

You know, Pat, I would like to get some separation here right away in this, but I don't see

a way for Michigan.

I think Ryan Day, he could win the national championship, and if he loses this game

four times in a row, he may be looking for work.

He may see him on mixed half next year.

So they are definitely going to focus and I like to box in this game.

Sully didn't really start you guys off with a tough one there.

That was, I feel like that would have been like picking Wisconsin and Minnesota yesterday.

So you're, you, we have South Carolina, eight and three in the SEC at Clemson, nine and

two in the ACC, that's 11 o'clock start, would be the day's best game probably if it wasn't

for Texas and Texas A&M.

Clemson winning the Miami Laws, the Tigers are in the ACC championship game.

So who you got?

Yeah, you know, I'm with you, Mick, this may be the best game of the day, Pat.

You know, the game is at Clemson.

I think South Carolina right now may arguably be the hottest team in the SEC and Clemson

is at home and playing for a potential birth in the ACC championship.

All that said, I still like South Carolina to go in there and get this done beat Clemson

at home.

But I got to tell you with reservation, but nonetheless, I'm going to go with the game

cocks.

Pat?

All right, you have to get this one's a tough one, but I think I'll go, I'll go with Clemson

on this one.

All right, there's going to be the separation right there.

That might be the game right there that's going to decide it.

And Pat, Mick is writing stuff down here, so I'm remembering these, I don't know, put

these up.

This is going to be, we're going to be, there's going to be some trophy I'm going to make

out of this one here.

The next one we have, Tennessee, they're 9 and 2 in SEC against Vanderbilt, 6 and 5 in

SEC.

Vanderbilt has had some good wins this year, a win by the Volves and they are likely going

to be into the 12 team playoff.

Who do you have today?

I've got Tennessee taking that one.

You know, I love what Clark Lee has done.

He's a former Notre Dame assistant, has done great work at Vandy, you know, playing

Texas in the three, beating Alabama, you know, by five, scoring 40 on that Alabama

D, but all that said, Pat, I'm with you.

I think Tennessee has way too much at stake.

They've been wanting for a long time to get into the college football playoff and now

a win today and they're in.

So I'm with you Pat, the Volves.

I'm going for Vanderbilt, just so you two guys both lose that one, just so you know.

Notre Dame, 10 and 1, big game for them, obviously against USC, 6 and 5, that's the afternoon

game here on CBS, so we got well, you know, this game, I've suffered many years of watching

SC and or room Notre Dame perfect seasons, six times, Pat.

Notre Dame has gone in, this game unbeaten and lost.

Some of those times SC hasn't been very good.

All that said, I think the Irish have two things that can travel.

What is their defense, which is very good?

And secondly, they have an outstanding run game.

So I like the Irish in spite of the history to get this done out in Los Angeles.

I don't want you to go with the...

Yeah, USC, up in the other years, this year, I don't see them winning this game, so I think

I'm with you on that one, Sully, I'd like to go with Notre Dame.

All right, so you guys are pretty much going besides that one game.

I've got more picks here.

Yeah, well, yeah, we'll see, I think you're going to be a lot of the same ones you're looking

for here.

You know, it make is not going to work for Scotland Yard or NASA either, so wouldn't listen

too much to what he says.

We got Pat, this is yours, we got to go first, Miami 10 and 1 at Syracuse 8 and 3, Miami

leads the all-time series 16 to 7.

If Miami wins, they advance to the ACC Championship Game vs. SMU, who do you got, Pat?

Well, I had my son, Michael, my 12 year old, helped me out with some leads to take to get

Miami's circle first, he crossed it out and we're going to Syracuse on this one, going

with the underdog.

I'll tell you, they got a quarterback, Pat, that has an arm that rivals yours back in

the day when you were zipping the ball over the field.

I used to see you play down at Everest when you guys, when Newman would play their home

games there.

But anyway, I'm thinking that all that said, I like cam word in this game, Miami has got

a lot to play for.

I think they're going to get Syracuse, it's on the road, but nonetheless, Pat, I'm going

to respectfully disagree with the cues and I'm going to go with the U.

And just so you know, if Michael's wrong, we'll practice on Monday and I'll make him

run a little bit more frail.

That's going to be Michael's fault.

Before we get into the last five games, I know we've talked before, talk about your staff

and how many people you have working there and for you guys at France ProPam.

Yeah, absolutely.

Like I said, we are a small company, we have eight employees and in our industry, we have

as the most industry, you see a lot of mergers, acquisitions and when that happens, you know,

there's less family run, small businesses and sometimes as those mergers, acquisitions

happen, the customer suffers and yes, we believe in customer service, we have a local

office.

We're going to go into the second five of the games here and we're going to start with

Sully here, we got Auburn, five and six in SEC, so they need to win to get into a bowl

here.

Iron Bowl, Bamelies, a series 50 to 37 to one, the tightest one, four in a row, including

last year's thriller, 27, 24.

You know, if you're a Wisconsin fan, you want to Alabama to win because you want to keep

knocking any of those teams that are five and six, oh, right, so that they have a chance.

No, actually, I don't know if I want to see them play again, but so...

Nick was upset with, you may not have gotten that yet, Pat, but he was a little upset with

the Badgers performance just like...

Yeah.

How's the rough one?

It was a rough one.

Sully, who do you got Auburn at, Alabama?

Well, you know, I watched Auburn last week beat A&M.

Now the game is at Alabama.

I watched the Barco with Alabama the last time they were out on the field.

And so I'm going to pick the upset here, Pat.

I'm going to say that Auburn finds a way against Alabama and ends the misery that Alabama

has suffered through this year.

That's kind of what you know, but just to create, I'll go to Alabama on that one.

You get help from Michael on that one or do you go on your own on that one, Pat?

He was...his...his...he circled Auburn.

Oh, okay.

Good.

You guys should go for Alabama.

You know, I remember Michael from my sub-and-days over there and I'm starting to think he's

overcoming Mick and he's a little smarter than we may know.

So you're going to Alabama.

All right.

That's a good.

Now we got a couple different ones here.

We got Pat.

You got Texas, ten and one at Texas A&M, eight and three.

The winner goes to the SEC Championship game, obviously a huge game.

That'll be an ABC tonight at 630, who do you got?

This will be another tough one that I think in Texas, you never know exactly which teams

are going to show up, but I'm going to go with Texas on this one.

And Pat, I am going to take what will be the wildest college environment in years.

These teams haven't played since 2011.

A&M has been suffering.

They lost that game like 27 and 25.

Two-point game.

It was the last time that they were going to play before A&M left for the SEC.

Now Texas is back.

I think that Notre Dame Pat A&M game at the beginning of the year was wild.

I think it's going to pale in comparison.

And I think Mike Calco and the Aggies get this done and beat the horns.

Sully just thinks because they lost a Notre Dame at their good.

So he didn't know they beat them this year.

So okay, we got a lot of different ones here in the second half of it.

Now we got, so we got Kansas State, eight and three in the big 12.

And I was State, eight and three in the big 12.

I'll be on Fox at 6.30 in the night.

Kansas State won in 2020, 10 to 9.

Since 1990, KSU is 26 and eight in this series.

Even though I will lead the series 53-50 to four over time.

Yeah, another great series.

You know, I'm going to go with the home team here, Pat.

I like the cyclones.

I really like their coach, Maddie Campbell.

He quietly just stays the course and is done real good work.

So part is with the heart on picking them.

But I also think at home, the cyclones are going to get this done and advance to the

championship game.

I agree with you on that one, Sully, I'll take an Iowa State.

All right, we at the, and Campbell is a, is a terrific coach, obviously.

So it'll be interesting to see in that game.

Pat, it's going to be Oklahoma.

There's six of five in the SEC at LSU, seven and four.

There'll be an ESPN at six o'clock tonight.

These teams have played only three times, only three times.

LSU leads a series two to one last played in 2019 in the Peach Bowl.

And LSU won 63-28.

Who do you have?

I have Oklahoma on this one.

You know, that 63 to 28 in the Peach Bowl.

That was in the college football playoff.

And LSU had a pretty good quarterback, you know, with Chief Joseph, they're running around

throwing a ball over the play.

So I'm going to go with LSU.

I'm going to say Brian Kelly gets his eighth win.

Brian Kelly is not the most popular guy in Notre Dame circles.

But nonetheless, this guy knows how to win games.

I think he's going to find a way in LSU gets the eighth win down to Baton Rouge.

He keeps winning games.

He's not the most popular guy.

I think in LSU, Saul, I don't think seven and four is not what they want down in LSU.

You know, I initially make I would agree with that, but when Kelly suddenly developed a

Southern accent, when he was talking to the, which was the most hilarious thing I think

I've seen and I've seen him do some peculiar things.

That might have been at the top.

So yeah, you're right, Mick.

He's not running for governor, Louisiana.

He goes seven and five, they'll be, yeah, talking about a hot seat.

So we got another different one there.

The last one here, we got Marshall, they're eight and three at James Madison, eight and

three.

This is on ESPNU at seven o'clock.

If James Madison wins and Georgia Southern wins, then Georgia Southern plays for the

SBC title, if Marshall wins, they win the Sunbelt East and play Louisiana for the Sunbelt

Championship.

So who do you got?

You know, James Madison, Georgia, James Madison and Marshall, I'm going to take Charles

Huff.

He's the coach there.

He's been steady on the last five, six years.

And I think Marshall goes to James Madison, who has struggled a little bit lately and gets

that done.

And then Marshall will take on Louisiana in the Sunbelt Championship.

I agree with you, Sully, I have Marshall on that one.

You know, the other interesting thing about this game pad is this is the only conference

now in the FBS that still plays in divisions, you know, because as we all know here in

Midwest, you don't get the two best teams because a lot of times the teams from the West be

at Wisconsin or Iowa.

There were three teams in the East that were better, you know, Penn State, typically Michigan

or Ohio State.

This year though, the Sunbelt, while still in divisions, does have it right.

Marshall is six and one in the conference and Louisiana is six and one.

So if Marshall gets this done, you're going to end up with the two best teams in the Sunbelt

by circumstance playing for the championship.

Thank you, Mr. France, Patrick France,

from France Propane last segment picking the games against Seoul.

And we're going to move on to a segment where it's kind of,

if you're a Wisconsin fan, there's still hope out there

with a boa eligibility and conference bowls

and how many they have to have and things like that.

And, you know, for example, the big 10 right now has

12 teams that are eligible if you count Michigan State.

So I'm going to be actually cheering against Michigan State today.

We'll be going against for Rutgers to get a win today.

But they have affiliated with one, two, three, four, five,

six, seven, seven bowl games.

The big 10 is, Seoul has all of it.

And I believe Seoul, this is on your website, right?

Yeah, you can see it on there, sure.

So you can see everything with every conference

and their affiliation, what bowls they are affiliated with

and what teams are eligible.

Because it's kind of a complicated thing to fill the 12 playoff spots

and a 35 non-playoff bowl games,

you're going to have to have 82 bowl eligible teams.

As we head into this week and we started it,

we have 68 teams that have qualified.

And yesterday, obviously Wisconsin had the chance to qualify.

They didn't.

And Oregon State had a chance to qualify and they did not.

They lost the Boise State.

So that's the possibility of 15 teams that have,

they had the 15 teams coming into this weekend,

had five wins.

So right there, that puts you down to 13.

So which means, and two of those games are against each other

that one of those teams is definitely going to become bowl eligible.

So now you're at 11.

Now you're at 11 already.

So that said, we need a minimum of 14 to reach 82.

Well, if I'm doing the math right, Seoul,

and you can explain how this all happens here,

does that mean Wisconsin has probably a shot to make a bowl game?

And why would they have a shot to make a bowl game?

They sure do.

What the NCAA does when they end up,

because while they do not control the college football playoff,

they do have input and coordinate the bowl season,

the non-playoff bowl game, so to speak.

And so what they'll do,

because right now the maximum number of teams that we can have,

Mick would be at 79, which would leave us three short.

What they then do, and Minnesota got in a year ago,

and it's based on what they call academic progress,

given the academic nature of Wisconsin,

it is more than possible that they would be one of the three highest

academic achieving institutions

and could end up with a bowl spot.

So it would be, you failed yes to win six games,

but because there were not enough teams,

I think the NCAA correctly then goes to academics,

and says which team has shown the best academic progress,

and that's against standard, not one another.

They would then possibly award Wisconsin,

certainly are going to have to award three more teams

to fill the 82 team slots.

And you don't know.

Obviously I think Northwestern is a team with four wins,

and obviously if they win their five,

they would be five and seven two,

so we got to remember that they're not going to be just going against teams

that have five wins going into the week.

There's also, that would be a possibility then of teams that have four wins

that win this week.

So there's a lot of teams that probably come into play correct?

Yes, and that's a very good point, Mick,

and I did not get that in my explanation.

And yes, so if a team were to get any team that has five wins

after rivalry week, and so when the dust settles tonight at midnight

or whenever we're done playing,

then they would look at who has five wins.

And then of course it will go to Selection Sunday

because they'll do the playoff and the pairings there, rankings,

along with the 35 bowl games that are being played.

So right now, the best thing you can say about this, Mick,

is it is up in here.

And anytime you have a chance, it's a good thing.

I know he made it a point of it Coach Fickle yesterday,

and I agree with them full-heartedly.

Anytime you can have 15 extra practices,

think about that, they've gone 22 years,

and they've gotten 15 extra practices for 22 years.

That's probably, that's got to be at least a season plus

or two seasons plus of practice time,

which you don't get to assimilate those practices

or a game atmosphere.

I don't care if it's the cracker jack bowl,

it doesn't matter, you can't simulate that sitting at home.

So he was adamant that if they would get something like that,

they'd be still take it and be proud of it and happy with it.

I shouldn't say proud of it, but happy with it for the program's sake.

So we'll see what happens, and next week's all you'll be,

you'll have all those answers, correct?

Well, what will happen next week is we'll have championship week,

and we'll have most of the answers, you know,

because you don't know exactly who will go into the playoffs.

You know, that I know right now that, for instance,

the big 12 is beyond the math.

They have four teams that are tied at six and two,

and five teams that are in second place at five and three.

They gave it to their computers,

and it came up with 250 possible scenarios.

So I want you to know, I won't be going in any of that.

They gave me a headache just here and there.

But nonetheless, there's a lot to be determined.

And we're going to be coming back here.

We're going to take a quick commercial break,

On 98-9, WXCO, on this beautiful rivalry weekend.

We got games on Thursday, Friday.

Today, it's a full week of football.

Before weekend, I should say a football,

and Sully corrected me.

I said it was Sully's top 25.

It's actually the college football playoff, top 25, correct?

Yeah, I'm going to compliment you because you said rivalry.

And when I say that, I always sound like,

oh, my fuck, so the fact that you're able to do that

more than compensates for the other thing.

Well, that would be the only time I say it right.

I won't say it again just so I won't screw it up on that.

But we got the, and one of the teams we're going to be talking about

is Colorado, their number 25.

Oh, actually, I'm going to go back to one thing here.

We got, the Nutcracker is coming up.

The Central Wisconsin School of Ballet,

the Nutcracker, is a holiday event for the whole family.

Now we'll move into the college football playoffs top 25.

And we'll go, I'm going to give you like the top.

They played yesterday against Oklahoma State and they won easily.

Kansas State's at number 24.

And they have the Iowa State, which we talked about tonight,

that Fox on at 630.

And number 23, Illinois.

They are playing at Northwest or actually is that really field.

Right.

This afternoon, actually this morning in about 20 minutes,

they're going to start on there.

Those three teams.

Yeah, well, you know, Colorado won yesterday, 52 or nothing.

This is the worst year that Oklahoma State has had.

Since I believe Mike Gundy has come there, you know,

they really struggled mightily and you know,

you thought maybe they'd kind of gather to see if they could

do a little damage with Colorado, but not the case.

And Illinois, Mick, I'm glad you're sitting.

They have the chance this year to win 10 games.

They win today.

This will be the most games they've won since the early 80s.

Two things.

Number one, Chad Holmes will be happy about if Illinois wins

he's a big big deal in my fan.

But I'm going to be honest with you.

They haven't played any buddy.

They're not that good.

Illinois, I don't think.

I think that record is a little misleading.

The games that they had opportunities.

I don't think they did anything.

And Oklahoma State's only time I think of them is,

I guess he's not a man.

Remember that's that big rant he went on about a man.

I guess his team is not this year.

But three and nine they ended up their season.

22, UNLB.

They have Nevada.

Three and nine tonight.

Missouri plays as number 21.

They play Arkansas.

And number 20, Texas A&M, which we talked about their big game.

What those three teams?

Yeah, and how about the job Barry Odom has done at UNLV?

You know, the old Missouri coach.

He has done really, really good work there.

And hoping they get it together one more time

and then make, they can have direct input on the big 12.

Because right now, Boise will get the buy.

You know, four of the four of the FPS champion winners

that are the highest ranked get a buy.

And right now, Boise is in front of the big 12.

If UNLV beats Boise, then the big 12 will get back

to what everybody just assumes will happen

that the four power four teams will get the buy.

Yep, and at 19, BYU plays Houston.

13 points favorite.

Iowa State, we talked about against Kansas State.

In a big one.

And number 17, Tulane had a big loss on Thursday.

Thursday night against Memphis,

which obviously knocks them out of the hunt.

Yeah, because people were saying Tulane may move in front of Boise

if UNLV were to beat him since Boise beat Oregon State last night.

So they're 11 and 1 and done now until the playoff,

which will be against UNLV.

So at this point, Boise, check that Boise.

The big 12 teams like BYU and all of Arizona State

are all huge UNLV fans,

because that would vote, you know,

would povalt them in front of Boise.

So a lot to be determined here with what UNLV does.

And brings us to number 16,

one of the teams that you're talking about.

That's cheering for Arizona State.

They got Arizona tonight.

This afternoon, I should say, Arizona's 4 and 7.

And number 15, big game, which we talked about,

Southern Carolina, South Carolina.

Against at Clemson, 92.

And that game is starting off.

A lot of good games starting off here at 11 o'clock.

You're going to have to get home and get down that couch

and get ready to go.

Try to avoid a speeding ticket.

We don't want that.

Number 14 is Old Miss.

They're 8 and 3 also.

They came off of, I don't want to say a bad loss,

because Florida's beaten two good teams in a row.

But a bad loss there that hurt them quite a bit,

but they're going to be favored against...

Yeah, that game actually make was played last night,

the egg ball.

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Old Miss won that game, like 26,

the 13 or something.

So they didn't cover the spread?

No, we never talk about that.

We're family program.

Well, I'm just saying, they didn't...

So they didn't beat them as bad as they were supposed to.

But...

They're 9 and 3.

They're 9 and 3.

Right?

They're 9 and 3 on that.

And their chances, you think they're going to get in?

Yeah.

Boy, if a 9 and 3 team gets in,

they may have the best argument.

You know, Georgia survived the last night.

Eight over times.

So if a 3 loss team were to get in,

I think Bama, check, check, check.

Old Miss would go in front of those other South Carolina

if they be Clemson today.

And I'll tell you what, they have a dynamic quarterback

who just has missed performing in big moments this year.

You know, he has really gotten, no, Jackson Dart leads the country

and passing yards.

I mean, he has got a big time arm.

So we'll see what happens.

But yeah, I'd say for 3 loss teams,

I would have them at the head of the list.

Even though that will get to number 13, 12 and 11 here,

Alabama, who's, you mentioned, number 13,

they have, we talked about the game against Auburn today.

And you think Auburn's going to be in many ways.

But according to this, they have them higher than them.

Correct?

Yeah, you know, you see this.

And this changes week to week.

I was surprised, Bob.

Bama was in front, based on that performance at Oklahoma.

Mick, they looked like they were clueless.

It was like they thought Professor Plums laid on cold

with the plunger in the outhouse.

They weren't even on the board.

That's the worst defensive.

I think I've ever seen an Alabama team play in the last 17 years.

Which is good.

I think for having some new blood, I don't mind seeing that.

Mick, I'm with you.

You know, the SEC a lot of whining coming out of them this year.

In my opinion, this is the best that league has been.

And that they are beating each other.

They're all playing at pretty high levels.

They're all human.

You know, they're not able to stockpile anymore with that, you know,

a whole bench full of five stars.

Because NIL, people are offering those players money

in a way they go.

So their depth is not a lot like what you see in the big 12,

the ACC and the big 10.

Similar.

Yep.

And we'll close up here.

The statement with Clemses number 12.

And they play the South Carolina.

And 11 is Boise State.

And Boise State won play last night or yesterday.

And they won.

So they're obviously sitting in a good spot.

Yeah.

So Boise did what it has to do.

It's in that playoff game.

At the mayor of the Mountain West Championship.

If they win that, Mick, then you're just going to have to wait and see

what happens around them with the big 12.

You know, I think the ACC with how although BYU did beat

SMU earlier in the year.

I think it was 1813 close game.

So we'll see what happens there.

If BYU or SMU or, you know, Miami, I think we'll stay in front of them.

But we'll see if one of those big 12 teams can get in front of Boise,

then they'll get the buy.

And to be clear, five teams get automatic bursts.

Four teams get buys.

So Boise is going to be at the top five.

Because one of them by definition has to be your structure.

Has to be a group of five team.

On this beautiful November 30th, day before December,

and when you get to December, you know it's kind of football.

It's the big time.

I want to say the big time, but it's kind of the cream rises at the top.

And it's fun and bowl games and now with the tournament being the 12 teams.

And this is a fun time for it should be for the college football.

This should be big time, the month of December and obviously early January.

You know, make this is likened to the, you know, the basketball tournament.

When you have that opening weekend, we have all those, you know,

up starts getting a shot at all great stuff.

That's today is kind of football's version of that because you have rivalry.

I got through it.

That's all like Elmer.

You got that going on.

And then next week, you've got championship weekend.

To week after that, you got the greatest rivalry in all of sports.

Army plays Navy.

And then the tournament starts.

So from this Saturday forward, college football just gets better.

And today there are so many good games and so many games of interest that, you know,

it's just something that you look forward to every year.

And plus the FCS, the NCAA's only division one tournament starts today as well.

So all good.

All good football and that's what this is.

You like to watch good football, good games.

I know we'll get to one team here in a second here.

We're going to get to the top 10 here of the college football playoff.

Top 25.

And we're going to start off with Indiana at number 10.

They lost the Ohio State.

They have the very difficult game against Purdue today.

And their number 10, number 9 is SMU.

They take on California this afternoon.

And number 8, Tennessee.

And they got Vanderbilt, which we talked about before.

What about those three teams?

Well, first of all, Indiana and Purdue are looking at each other in the mirror.

Because their records are dyslexic each other.

One's 10 and one.

The other one's 1 and 10.

So a perfect match in the mirror.

Indiana is going to look to come out and get after them.

Because this chance is at 11 and 1 with a big 10 schedule,

even though that's getting somewhat disparaged.

They have a great shot to get in.

But they need to win big here.

As far as SMU goes, Mick, I can't speak for you,

but I'm cheering for them.

When they came into the ACC,

the ACC said to them,

we won't give you a cut of the money.

You're getting nothing.

And they said, we don't care.

We just want to get to the power of four level.

Plus they got about five trillion in oil money down there.

But nonetheless, they are getting nothing from the ACC.

So I love that about them.

They just wanted to play at this level.

And now Mick, they're winning the league.

So you got to like what they're doing.

And finally, Tennessee.

This is the biggest game they've played in in decades.

My big hope, though, is you don't tend to see.

Usually about 20% of the people are trying to get their cars started down there.

So I am hopeful that they get those babies running.

And they all get to where they can see the balls.

Because this is a huge game for the volunteers.

Yes, that is definitely to go on.

They got to win.

It's pretty simple.

And like you said, it's a fun time of year when you got here.

And SMU wasn't it back in the,

and we don't want to touch on it as quickly.

But in the 90s, it was in 90s or 80s when they were really 70s.

Who was the coaching at that time?

Wasn't they really a powerhouse back in the...

Oh, yes. SMU has got a long and really powerful football tradition.

You know, I can remember as a kid back in the,

I think it was right at the turn of the previous century.

But anyway, with them playing Texas Christian

in that old Southwest Conference,

and then the Pony Express with Dickerson.

That's who it was.

And James, those guys,

and then of course the death penalty came.

Now, in fairness, the NCAA warned them about 300 times

to stop doing what they were doing.

And you know, maybe those 10 gallon hats were over their ears.

I'm not sure what.

But that death penalty blew them up.

But you know, that was ages ago.

And the fact that they've done what they're doing this year,

I'm thrilled for them.

That is pretty remarkable.

And I'll pick it up here a little bit.

Number seven, Georgia.

Incredible game last night.

One of the best games if you want to see for entertainment purposes.

Obviously, it's probably a game that Georgia needed to win

a lot bigger than that.

But Georgia's number seven, six is Miami.

They got Syracuse, which we talked about.

And your team, number five, Notre Dame,

and number four is Pennestate.

What about those four teams?

Yeah, well, quickly, Georgia,

one of the wildest games I've seen in a long time,

eight over times.

Tech had a huge fumble,

their quarterback fumbled the ball.

After he played as good a game as I've seen anybody play

all year, a king.

I think it's Haynes King outstanding.

And so I was really sad to see that fumble.
