This is uh, um, I'm not a fan of uh, Ole Miss um
I know Sully's but I'm not uh, um, I'm going with uh, Georgia on there. Uh, they're gonna come down there

I can't believe a team with three losses because still get into the you guys were mentioned a team with three losses like Alabama
Could still possibly get in with all the scenarios. It's crazy to think about that. It seems like a lot
But I think Ole Miss gets their third loss today and by the way real quick before you make your picks all last week
I think was the first week you did not mention
Jackson Dart and then he had goes out there and has the game of the season
I'm gonna mention him twice today
You know, and that's where I'm starting on this game, Mick

I really highly tell to quarterback for Georgia who's had some trouble taking care of the ball this year
And Jackson Dart a couple times this year was in Heisman moments, you know the Kentucky game didn't get it done
I'm gonna say today Jackson Dart gets it done. We just got to convince us
What not saving but
Kiffin not to fake anymore injury so we can keep a flow to the game
So I like Ole Miss at home in the upset to give Georgia their second loss of the year up next
It's Washington and Penn State
That game will be actually peacock tonight at seven o'clock and Penn State trying to bounce back
Washington trying to build on their win against USC. So what do you think? Well
Penn State has never lost this game
They've only played three times over the years and Penn State has beaten them every time
So I'm gonna stay there consistent there
I'm gonna say that this is the Huskies Mick. This is their first time coming a happy valley
I don't think they're gonna leave happy. I think Penn State gets this done
I'm gonna agree a hundred percent with that
Penn State's gonna win out and get themselves into the to the tournament
But I'm not really impressed with that the starting quarterback is actually I thought the backup has a little more
More options, but that's again. He looked really good against Wisconsin
I thought when they brought him in sporadically last week. I thought he looked pretty good too
Next up another SEC game South Carolina and Vanderbilt both teams
Plamed exceptionally well
I mean vandia six and three, but they're losses
I read that the combined very very like eight points or something on those lines
In South Carolina had a massive win last week against A&M. So South Carolina at Nashville and Vandy
Was there with Paul
Have they stopped celebrating from that win that they had against Alabama yet? Are they still that was what a month ago
That I think they're still celebrating that and that again the funny thing is Alabama loses the day
That that win over them doesn't look as as good as it did when they originally
Happened for them, but it's good for them don't get me wrong, but I mean I just but you know what
They are by three to Texas too, so they know Vandy's I really truly believe their legit team
And they took on the road misery to overtime. Yeah. No, they're they're legit and and I honestly think that they put them away
They put them way they put they put South Carolina way

Make I'm gonna respectfully disagree with that. I think South Carolina after that win a year or a year ago
A week ago
Against A&M is going to come out with some steam
Nobody nobody Chad mentioned that they almost beat Alabama and Texas in the same year
So nobody's looking by Vandy anymore. Clerk Leah has done a great job there
So the fact that they've had such a good year and he has got them ready to play each week
Is going to heighten South Carolina's focus and I think South Carolina is going to get him in Nashville
Next game is a big one in the big 12 call the rattle and Texas Tech Texas Tech have comes off that
Last second win on the road against previously undefeated Iowa State last week
This one on Fox this afternoon and Sully. What do you think? Hey Mick? How about both Colorado and Texas Tech have a shot to win the big 12
So this game has far reaching connotations

Colorado on the road because of their star power
I think those guys are going to show up if Dean remembers to take Hunter out for at least one or two plays
You know in the first and second half. I like Colorado on this one
I'm going to go we got a lot of different ones

I think both those teams are
the middle of the
I want to say middle of the pack kind of teams but they're above the lead obviously
But I don't think that they're in that upper echelon of teams of of that
That's just again watching them over the time and Colorado could easily have another loss for sure if not too

And I'm I'm gonna go with a Texas Tech and the being the differences that
Somewhere along the line Colorado make a mistake that they shouldn't
Up next fifth game is army undefeated
Taken on north Texas was five and three ESPN two at two thirty today

You know
I'd really like actually watching army. I think that they're um
You know, they're good team. I really do sound team. Um, sometimes you get those teams and those records are a little

Maybe don't fit their actual talent or how they play
Um, and that they they don't make mistakes. They play a sound game. They're disciplined and uh
Teams like that when they're supposed to win usually win. So I'm gonna take army and my
My sister's husband is a West Point graduate and two of my nephews are West Point
Uh, West Point graduate. So I really can't go home for the holidays if I don't pick West Point here
I think the quarterback they have Bryson daily. I don't know if you guys have had a chance to see him
But he leads the nation in scored touchdowns. This guy's the real deal
And if it wasn't for that running back out in boys
He was rushed for more yardage than about a hundred nine teams
He would be mentioned in the top three or four

Bloomington. I like Indiana to get to 10 and oh

This year and I don't think they're uh it's more I think Indiana is a good team a real good team
Um, but I also think Michigan's not a very good team uh this year
And so you put those two things together and uh not good for Michigan

Both teams need the win massively. I mentioned the three losses with the possibility of still trying to sneak in
But neither team wants that third loss. So today Alabama and LSU and uh we'll talk uh start with Paul

The the fact is Utah has dominated this on the last ten times these teams played Utah has one nine

I BYU yeah, I would say unlikely although BYU plays in the big
You know in the big 12 now and so it's not the mountain west anymore or being independent
So if they are able to win the big 12 whether they had one two or three losses it wouldn't matter

They do not want to go past one and that's why I say BYU

9th game ACC Miami still undefeated in Georgia Tech who is five and four this game will be kicking off

Paul does Miami keep it perfect. No, they don't
They're they're going they've had a lot of close calls
They got a lot of talent they got it and to be honest
I don't think it really matters for them if they play on the road or at home
I mean their home crowd is is kind of I didn't think it was that great the last couple games
They got a lot more to do with Miami than then go sit in the stands, I guess
But I think Georgia Tech honestly
They're gonna take this one and and put that one in that column for for Miami
You know
I'm going with you on this Mick I've been thinking for a while now when you looked ahead
To this to this Miami team they find ways to lose it and then scramble and win it
This time I think Georgia Tech runs the ball wall enough that they're going to be able to play a little keep away
And they have speed and so they they they may be able to bottle up what's been a very
Effective Miami quarterback. So I'm with you Mick. I think the rambling wreck gets it's done
And finally you know v at Hawaii in the mountain west
You know these had a solid year, but they've dropped a couple of games in my Hawaii trying to get back to 500
We'll start with salt. This is one of my favorite games every year

You know the I watch this game all the time sometimes I'm still up at midnight watching it
But they have played some highly entertaining games the coaster now is Jimmy Chang
When he was playing they would score 40 some points of a game the problem was they give up 50
But these are always entertaining games and I'm gonna find I'm gonna go with

In Paradise Island to commit a few sins and get a win there yet got it the 10 game challenge

But he also has rankings for the fcs and also the group of five and we talk about the top five in the fcs
And the top 10 in the group of five
But on the site you go even deeper into those two divisions. Yeah, we go
15 in the fcs and we go to 20 in the group of five
And the reason we do that is evidenced by the fact when you look at the AP the coaches pole and now the college football playoff
There are one or two teams from the group of five ranked and so they don't get a lot of representation in that
The money discrepancies are significant and so we decided about eight nine years ago to rank the group of five
And over the years Chad and you you you basically motioned for me to keep quiet
Where we have said they can do anything? Yeah
No, that was long time ago
Where you've given up now where where they
They would we would say that the group of five should have a tournament. No, no, no, no, no, yes
Well, let's go into the rankings. Let's start with the football championships subdivision fcs top five
Going a couple of groups here. We have number five Harvard who is six and one after beating Dartmouth and the number four
You see Davis from the sky a big sky at eight and one
Yeah, you know the big sky is is one of the best conferences in the country
I would say right behind the Missouri Valley probably a tad right now in front of the
coastal athletic association notice I didn't say colonial this time and
Then the so kind which all the teams have left Appalachian State Georgia Southern a lot of those teams went into the fps
In Harvard of course, they do not participate in the tournament at the end
But you're I'll tell you when you look at their recruiting who they get to go there in those programs
They often are in the like 140 range which would put them
You know just outside of the of the group of of all of the fps and
You know indicates the type of talent that they really have in those Ivy League schools got number three
South East Missouri State and another eight and one team at number two north Dakota State
Yeah, and southeast Missouri State
They're up. They're in a combo conference the big south
Conference and you Ohio Valley combined for football they go back to their
Separate conferences when basketball and other sports are are either
Being conducted or are coming up, but for football these two together
And southeast Missouri State is having a great year at eight and one and then of course north Dakota State
Beats out to Dakota State this year. South Dakota State had another loss to an fps program
and so
As good as anybody in the country, you know right now we've got Montana state in front but
This this north Dakota State team is very good and you say Montana State undefeated still number one
Yeah, they did not play up
an fcs opponent
Check an fps opponent a football ball subdivision. They didn't play one where South Dakota State
did North Dakota State dead
They both lost close games and then North Dakota beat South Dakota
State 13 or North Dakota State beats South Dakota State because North Dakota and South Dakota are in that league
But anyway, that was a very tight game 13 to 9
So those three teams are I think I had at at a level that they're all quite capable
Going down the stretch to win this. Let's talk about the group of five
We're gonna go in groups of three because we're a little behind here
And just try to get through these and again

But 10 through eight you got Jacksonville State to beat liberty who's been struggling a little bit
Uh, you got number nine at Memphis boy. They lost for the second time of this season to Texas and Antonio last week
But they did bounce back and they had some trouble against rice last night
But they able to find a way to win and then another team that's I mean these three teams all have
Multiple losses and navy two games lost in a row. They lost a rice last week. So
Again, these teams are
Especially the nine and the eight teams scuffling a little bit
Well, you know, with Jacksonville State make that's rich ride regus
You remember over rich ride when he was at Michigan and down in West Virginia and Arizona
Yeah, he's been around everywhere in between and they started this year. I was surprised
They started on three
But man, they have picked it up in a big way
They have not won five in a row and they are playing at a pretty high level
Memphis of course lost to navy early on and then they were moving right along with that one loss
And then they got ambushed by Texas San Antonio now rice a week ago beat navy, which I again was a surprise
They came back and rice gave him pretty much all they wanted, but they found a way there
To win that game 27-20 and then
Navy's got a huge game today against a very athletic South Florida
But I got to tell you make those guys were all playmakers and you know against navy
You know from your coaching that it's not a great idea to have a bunch of playmakers
When people are trying to fool you with with your fool your eyes
So a lot of times you'll see him stuff stuff stuff and all sons are from navies running all by himself
So this is always a fun game to watch
You want to add something Paul?
No, I just he hit it on that's what navy does
Yes
They lull you to sleep and sometimes
They trick you with you know you have as much talent or more talent than they do
But they're going to keep doing what they do and they're going to do it well
But two weeks in a row they've been held to very low totals
So they're going to have to find that offense
Starting today or also their season is going to go like Air Force did last season after a good start
They've got a really good quarterback Blake

Anyway, he hurt his wrist and he was having trouble pitching the ball against Notre Dame
And so there were a couple of miscues there and then he dropped the ball on the goal line
And it was the scramble and Notre Dame got it in
So he's got to be healthy if he's back yet
I think some of those things will self correct
Yeah, I got number seven Sam Houston you got western Kentucky both the conference USA teams
Leicester Kentucky number six and UNLV is number five
Yeah, you know all all these teams are playing at a pretty high level
Sam Houston that's where Willy Fritz was and they were challenged in every year
Or Willy Fritz drinking game when you know
That must have been when they weren't doing that in the 1940s
I don't remember that but anyway
This team has been playing at a pretty high level western Kentucky
Rick Stocks still I don't know if you remember Rick is the coach there
Did a great job and they've always been good
And now I think one of the
Sea coaches Tyson
You remember the coach they had right before Lincoln Riley
Him and his brother our coach and one's in terms of southern and one's here
But anyway, they're always playing at a good level and UNLV that's a very old him
Yeah, the old coach I'm a series doing great work there. So I'll treat these teams are playing well
And the top four teams you got Louisiana who's only lost one time this year
Tulane number three
And army undefeated number two, but still at the top as they've been pretty much all season long Boise State
They're only lost of course came to the number one ring team in the country
So obviously they're having a great year. So Boise State number one very impressive top four
Oh, you know, these teams are all good
You know, and the funny thing about Boise is when people talk about them
They're one of them. They're at seven and one and there is more time spent talking about their one loss
To organ then there is to the other seven wins and so right now they are in the clubhouse
To to be the group of five conference champion that you know that gets into playoffs
And do you think army has a

That's a we're saying a chance kind of poo poo that he's probably right, but you know the reality is if they were to win the
I want to make sure I underline it
Not saying that army couldn't that they would have two teams
Oh, I guess Boise State would have to lose I guess that's why I'm asking so you think Boise State has to lose

You know guys the one thing I'm an expert on is where my sentences are
Go for it. What I'm saying in Chad is right but I was speaking hypothetically right right you could potentially have two
Group of five conference champions if they got in the top five like say

Scores because of all the talent they do have but they they found a way against Penn State last week

Sometimes when you have the kind of talent that they have they can be harder to coach
Because you know they've always been able to line up and just do things
And now when you're trying to get them to do the little things, you know be fundamentally correct here and fundamentally sound there
It can be difficult, you know those guys because they think they know
But now they're up with against better athletes who who do do things right and that can make all of the difference
Number three is Miami and last week in the second half again
They were down Duke was actually ahead in that game in the third quarter but then Miami exploded and just pulled away to win

They do have a Georgia Tech coming up here in just a few minutes, but the Miami
Again, if you're somebody that likes to watch games and be held attention
They've been very good about doing that. Yeah, you know that this is not the old Catholics versus farmer or Catholics versus Convicts
My favorite of course is when they played Iowa when it was
farmers versus felons
But this Miami team are like the cardiac kids, you know
They they get down and they look lost and then suddenly who's according back cam ward?
Suddenly he's loose running all over the place
And I got to tell you this team is an absolute nightmare on third down because you don't know if this guy is gonna
You know say to rosary or leave the arena. You're not quite sure what he's gonna do and how they they convert on third
Number two is Georgia and they had their hands full last week in that game against stuff lord of florida really battled
And they were down to their third quarterback with the Merch spinole with the knee injury then their young
highly regarded
Number two was playing pretty pretty well and then he got knocked out and in the end Georgia able to win
3420 but as you talked about earlier again, it's just one of those really massive games
Tonight against Ole Miss and I don't know if you guys heard but Billy Nupier has been given new life
He will be back next year. They announced that he's coming back
They got bigger issues with their basketball coach right now. Oh, do they have an awareness?

And in each of those games dad coach landing did something that was a head scratcher
This year he's you know, a guy's continued to grow and develop and he seems much more at home Chad in those big games
He seemed in the moment against Ohio State when they ran that guy remember they clock of ran some time off the clock
Nonetheless
Doing a great job this year and it's going to be interesting to see what happens come down the stretch
What happens with Indiana and then if if the bucks get him to the bucks like we said early on
We thought that Oregon would win there
But then Ohio State would get him an Indianapolis, so we'll see well got about a minute to go you guys can finish it all
