Obviously you've been around for a long time and soul talks about you and gets a way to get a seven wood or a nine wood recently or something like that.
That nine wood buck got me, you know, I struggle hitting my irons while I struggle hitting everything.
But though that nine wood that he got me recently, it's been a very interesting club. I hit it about 140 and it thing goes up buck. I'm finally getting the ball up in the air.
And Buck, tell us about buck's golf shop. What besides besides being Sully's guardian angel here.
Well, you know, all our clubs have a 100% guarantee if they're used correctly. That's not lost on me, Buck.
Yeah, but no, I have my shop down here in Rothschild and just down from the DomTarp plant.
And I just got some new items in today. But you know, one thing I do try to carry is teams.
I have the badgers and the bucks and the brewers and the packers and then I have other teams also, but you know, do golf bags and head covers and towels and everything else.
And so I have a very nice selection of new items in my shop and also used items. So if there's anybody out there that's looking to get rid of their golf clubs or trade them or do something special with that.
Bring them in and we can. Works up and out for you for sure. Fantastic. Well, let's jump right in. We got 10 games to talk about.
See if Buck can knock off Sully here from his perch, high atop the college football world. Let's start off with a big 10 big matchup.
You got Oregon traveling to Michigan. There'll be at 3 2 30 this afternoon on CBS and being our guest will let Buck make the first pick.
Well, you know, Michigan has been solid these last few years or they're not a strong this year, but I do believe that Oregon can come in and it's going to be ducks weather for them for sure in Michigan.
So I would pick Oregon over Michigan. You know, Buck, I'm going to have to go with you on that.
I think Oregon is just a little too much speed for Michigan D. The big house, not really in play here. Oregon comes in and gets this done.
These teams will only play five times. Michigan does lead the series three to two, but the last win was 1973. So I don't think that those guys are going to factor in. So I'm with Buck. Oregon.
Our next game is what used to be known as the world's largest outdoor cocktail party and then they changed the name of that, but it's still a massive matchup down in Jacksonville every year. Georgia and Florida SEC 230 on ABC. This time we'll start with Sully.
Yeah, Georgia leads this series, Mark 55 44 with two ties and the interesting thing about it, as Chad mentioned, they play in Jacksonville. They they've been doing that since about 1933.
Buck, I'm going to have to go with Georgia. I think Georgia now is playing for domination in the SEC. They cannot slip up. They've got the tie breaker, you know, with Texas to get into the championship game.
And Buck, I'm definitely going with Georgia over Florida.
No, I was tempted to go with the upside on this one, but I believe I have to agree with you on that one. Georgia should win this game.
Now, next, a big one in the Atlantic Coast Conference tonight, 630 on ESPN Louisville and Clemson again. As we talked about earlier, Clemson really has been playing some probably the best football in the ACC recently after that season opening loss against Georgia. Louisville has been close, but no cigar a couple of different times, especially that game against Miami.
Louisville, 5 and 3 Clemson, 6 and 1. Buck, what's your pick?
I'm picking Clemson in this one.
Okay, I'll tell you, Buck, I'm going to dominate with all due respect. I'm going to separate here. I'm going to say that Clemson has never lost to Louisville.
We had this scenario last week where North, where Duke had never beaten Florida State. They did. And so I'm looking for that Louisville defensive line to come up big today.
And Louisville gets the upset over the Tigers.
Our fourth game. Oh, sorry, Buck, you want to add something?
I was going to say, are you betting big money on that one?
You know, like our mutual friend, Jimmy Kislow, who said to say hello to you today, unlike him, no, Buck, I am not betting big on that.
I got it. I got it.
Up next, the big 12 matchup, the Iowa State Cyclone still undefeated, taking on Texas Tech, who is 5 and 3, Fox at 11 o'clock. And Sully, what do you think?
Well, you know, last week I called Joey McGuire, Joey Jones. This is Joey McGuire, very good coach.
Old high school coach, Buck, real popular in Texas. It won't matter. The Cyclones, Maddie Campbell, the guy that Chad and I have talked about over the years, great coach, couldn't be happier for the success.
And I think the Cyclones are going to get it going and keep it going.
Okay, well, I'm calling for the upset with the red raiders beating the Cyclones today in, in aims.
Very big, very big picks here. We got the Louisville on one side and now Texas Tech with these rolled upsets here in the 10 game challenge.
Up next, the one tonight, NBC 630, the Wisconsin Badgers and the Iowa Hawkeyes, 5 and 3, 3 and 2 in the big 10 for each squad.
And we're going to let Buck get the first opportunity at this one.
On Wisconsin on this one, they're going to pull the minor upsets in the Iowa and Iowa City. And you know, part of this is always betting with your heart, but that's what we're hoping for.
That's exactly what I was going to say, Buck, you're picking with your heart. I think I'm going to go with my brain, which certainly has limits.
But I'm going to take Iowa because I'm going to say that Iowa will not allow Wisconsin to run the ball. They're going to stop the run today. And I think that'll get them the W.
Before we move forward or halfway through the 10 game challenge, let's go back to Buck and talk a little bit about the Bucks Golf Shop.
Obviously, it's been a wonderful year to keep guys out on the golf course here in North Central Wisconsin. You want to add about Bucks Golf Shop?
Yeah, you know, it's definitely the thing with our indoor simulators we have for the winter time is really gave an extra time for golfers to work on their games through the winter time.

And then they proceeded to send the all time losing record for a major league baseball club. I want you to know though, but the bag is terrific.
And when people gave me trouble about it, I told them this was the go-go white socks from 1959 with little Louis apparicio and jungle Jim Rivera and Nelly Fox and those guys.
So the bag was a success, even though the white socks season was not.
Okay, and how about Rocky, Colorado?
Well, Rocky, Colorado was the right fielder for Cleveland.
Okay.
Yeah, he had an arm that he had only Roberto Clemente, then probably Rocky.
Okay.
Well, yes, sir.
So, as I say, people that want to continue work on their games, re-grip clubs, find something a new nine wood or something like that, or we've got it.
By the way, Collabito did play part of 1967 with the white socks.
Oh, he did.
Part of one season.
Well, by then I was a senior in high school, you know, 67, 68. I must have been watching it closely.
All right, let's continue here game number six.
They got Ole Miss and Arkansas from the SEC ESPN at 11 o'clock and Sully, your pick.
Okay, I'm going to go with Sam Pittman and Arkansas.
They have been in every game this year.
They are a very good club.
Kiffin has, I think, lost focus with the fall and down nonsense.
In fact, the commissioner and the SEC sent out a memo across the conference about they're going to be stiff finds for people who faint injuries.
I would say at the very least they're out for that quarter while they're being observed.
So anyway, I think Pittman, his team, there's a close relationship player coach,
and I think they're going to rally at home and get this done against the Rebels.
Going with the Sully pigs for sure.
Up next, another big ten matchup, surprising Indiana still undefeated at Michigan State Peacock at 230.
And Buck, what do you think? Does Indiana keep it going?
I'm calling for the upset today, Michigan State beating Indiana.
I think it's today that some of these teams who are kind of newbies to the undefeated ranks,
maybe feel that pressure and lose one.
So I'm picking the Spartans today.
Yeah, you know, and Buck history says that's the right choice.
The series stands right now, Michigan State 50, Indiana 18 with two ties.
But I'll tell you what, I'm going to diverge again here, Buck.
I'm going to take the Hoosers.
I'm going to say they keep it going.
The stakes for this team keep getting higher each week.
And I'll tell you, Buck, they come out, Indiana, and they are meeting the challenge.
Up next, our eighth game is a big one in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Really a huge one in terms of the title in that league and potential playoff birth.
I got undefeated Pittsburgh.
Keep finding ways to win.
And they take on SMU found a way to win an overtime at Duke last week.
They're seven and one ACC network at seven o'clock and Sully.
I'm going to go with Pat and our doozy.
You know, defense travels, Buck.
And that's his specialty.
Pit has just invented ways to win this year.
They started a game against McCory from the Old Ohio State Quarterback when they played.
Was that Sully?
No Syracuse when they beat Syracuse.
And the reality here is pit finds a way.
And so I'm taking our doozy and the Panthers.
So growing up, you know, from 60s and everything, it's just hard to imagine
that Pittsburgh and SMU are in the same conference.
Yeah, wow.
I don't know where that comes from or whatever.
And just like the big 10, you need a scorecard.
Who's in the big 10 and where they're from.
But I will pick the pit Panthers today to beat SMU.
Up next, the SEC and Texas A&M on a big roll right now.
Top the conference.
They do travel to South Carolina and a real interesting matchup tonight on ABC at 7 o'clock.
Buck, does A&M keep it going?
A&M, they are the Aggies, right?
Correct.
Yep.
We're going with the Aggies over the Gamecocks today.
I'll tell you, I went back and forth on this one several times when you look at the game.
Texas A&M is 9 and 1 in the series.
The only time that the Gamecocks were able to get them was in 2022.
They won that game 30, 24.
But I'm with you, Buck.
I think everybody including, especially A&M knows this is a trap game.
And their defense is going to travel.
They're going to get this done in Columbia.
And finally, perhaps the biggest game is certainly the biggest game in the big 10,
maybe the biggest game in the country.
Ohio State at Penn State coming up in about 45 minutes at 11 o'clock on Fox.
And Sully, does Ohio State find a way on the road?
This is a battle of blue bloods.
These teams have won 10 national championships and have played in 108 bowl games.
So you got the big boys playing in this one.
They also had 878 NFL drought choices between them.
But Buck, I am saying, finally, Franklin gets that monkey off his back.
I hope that Aller plays.
But nonetheless, Penn State is finally going to be the Ohio State.
So we got the ghost of Woody Hayes and the ghost of Joe Paternos.
There you go.
And I'm picking Ohio State to win this game.
Very good.
So that's all 10 of our games.

and we mentioned them last week,
they had a big game against Columbia,
and it turned into a good 1-24-21 win for Dartmouth,
and they stay at number five.
Yeah, and a big, big game in the Ivy League today,
as Dartmouth six and a takes on Harvard,
who was, excuse me, who was five and one.
Last night, there was a game where Columbia,
out in New York, shocked Penn State.
They beat him, I got to score here, Chad.
It was 13 to 10, so make sure.
What did they play?
They played Yale.
Yale, you know, Penn State, I thought,
holy cow.
No!
That would have been an upset.
Ah, that would have been beyond an upset.
Right before they came against OSU,
a little scrimmage action.
Yeah, well, they're geographically close.
Yeah, there you go.
There you go.
Number four, UC Davis, from the big sky,
you mentioned the fact that that is,
if not the best conference,
one of the two best conferences,
and UC Davis seven or one, number four.
Yeah, UC Davis right now is on a collision course
with Montana State.
Those are the two best teams
with all due apologies to Montana this year.
Those teams are on a collision course,
and UC Davis kept it going
or last week had a buy and are getting ready today
for Northern Colorado.
I remember back in the old days,
there was a Southwest Missouri State in basketball,
and then they turned to Missouri State,
but there's still a Southeast Missouri State,
and you got Southeast Missouri State, number three.
You are 100% right.
In fact, Southwest Missouri State initially was on the website.
You know, yeah, this,
they're having a great year this year.
They're out of a combo conference,
the big South Conference,
and the Ohio Valley Conference merged.
And so the result is,
Southeast Missouri State is having a terrific year at eight
and one.
They hammered Murray State last week,
and they're playing, oh, excuse me, I'm down one,
they beat Gardner Webb in a close game,
30 to 24, and then this week,
they get to sit back and get a little rest there.
North Dakota State, doing North Dakota State things,
they just keep on winning,
they keep on being ranked either at or near the top,
and they're number two.
Yeah, and that's where they played Murray State,
beat him 59 to six,
and Northern Iowa,
very untypical for Northern Iowa.
They are struggling this year.
They're currently two and six,
and I can tell,
since we've been doing the site in 09,
this is rare,
you usually see them with those numbers inverted.
And number one, Montana State,
undefeated to top the big sky conference
and just rolling along.
Right, and you know,
sitting out there on the periphery
is South Dakota State.
They're quite capable,
they lost that game at North Dakota State,
13 to six.
They are quite capable of getting
in the college football playoff
on their level, the FCS playoff,
and making a lot of noise.
The two teams right now,
I had one and two,
both are at risk when they line up
against South Dakota State.
Let's look at the group of five top ten.
You got the number ten UConn,
and actually that's a nice little story.
Isn't Jimura Jr. coaching there now?
He is, and he's done a good job,
and they won a game last night,
so they are now at six and three.
So when he got to that,
when he got that job,
and my son's words,
Michael, it was a dumpster fire.
That's what he would call it.
They won last night.
They beat Georgia State
in a competitive game, 34-27.
So he has now got them bowl eligible.
You and OV, at number nine,
of course, they lost that really tough one
against Boise,
a massive game in the mountain west,
but they're still having a very solid season.
Yeah, you know, that's very old him.
Outstanding coach at Missouri
is doing a great job at UNLV,
and that game came down to the fourth quarter.
You know, when Boise got that done,
these teams in all likelihood
will play again for the championship at a mountain west.
Number eight, Navy,
and they did have such a massive game last week,
and it just turned so quickly.
They were down 14-nothing early,
and really, they never looked like Navy
that they've been so far this season
and that lost the Indy.
Yeah, it was too bad for Navy.
You know, their quarterback played the game
with a bad risk.
I don't know to what extent
if he's got a break or if he's got ligaments.
But anyway, he dropped the ball,
a snap just dropped it in the end zone.
Some of his pitches had a lot of velocity on it.
I think he kind of lost his touch.
But anyway, Navy turned it all over six times, Jen.
And I have to tell you,
in watching that game,
most of the turnovers were not forced by the Irish state.
Number seven, Sam Houston State.
Seven and two.
What do you...
What do we know about Sam Houston State?
They started last year, like,
Oh, and eight.
And, you know, they were a perennial visitor
to the FCS championship game
or advanced deep into the FCS tournament.
So last year was definitely a transition year for them.
And they were doing something
they typically do not do,
and that was lose football games.
This year, they seem to have their swagger back
as they are at seven and two.
And they have a buy this week.
Another program that has been consistently good
is Louisiana.
Again, they've had multiple coaches
but still playing some great football.
Rage and Cajun, six and one.
And, you know, that's building up here.
The guy who's under pressure at Florida,
that's his old team.
And, you know, they're playing Arkansas State today
and that's the old Tennessee Bush Jones coach's team.
Big game in that league.
And, look for Louisiana to find a way again.
They're having a very good year.
You mentioned Western Kentucky a little earlier
in the program.
There are six and two from Conference USA
and cracking the top five.
Yeah.
The Arkansas State was 0 and 6.
And, you and I talked about them last week.
They played Liberty, who was 6 and 0, and beat them.
And so now they had to shot it.
What people's going in the last week
would have said is the second best team
was Western Kentucky.
We're now thinking Western Kentucky may be, you know,
the team to look to emerge here
in that league.
The Conference USA is they handled
Arkansas State 31-14.
Number four is Memphis.
They're now 6 and 1.
They had a little bit of a tough globe
at only beating Charlotte by five.
Memphis has, when the season started,
I thought they were playing the best.
Now, I would say they are not, you know,
Army Navy when they're quarterback, you know,
when Blake Horvath is healthy.
And Tulane are all playing better.
So Memphis got their work cut out
from down the stretch.
Speaking of Tulane, they are right there.
Number three, they beat North Texas.
And they do have Charlotte coming up.
But Green Wave continuing to impress
in the AAC.
Yeah, and then Chad, that game was played
on Thursday night.
Tulane hammered him 34-3.
I guess I should look further.
You know, well, these games will throw.
I mean, we're playing on Tuesday now.
But anyway, yeah, this team,
they have the Navy has to play them yet.
And with all due apologies to Army,
Navy has had the tougher road
to that American championship game.
Having to play Army Tulane and Memphis
where Army plays neither Memphis or Tulane.
Army is number two still undefeated.
And they take on Air Force
in one of those Commander-in-Chief trophy games.
And it's been a long time, I imagine,
since the Army would go into a game.
Six games better than Air Force.
But that's the way it is 11 o'clock on CBS.
Yeah, these guys will, like,
the Army is back in the 40s, you know,
when you had Mr. Inside and Mr. Outside playing for them.
They're in great spot here.
The only team really on paper other than Navy
that is a threat to them is North Texas.
And North Texas has stumbled
the last two weeks against Memphis and Tulane.
And boys, he stayed number one.
They've already done their work for this week.
But they're playing really consistently good football, aren't they?
Oh, there are something else that, uh,
uh, genty, they're running back.
This guy looks like Hercules when you look at him.
He is something else.
He is definitely playing on Sunday.
And he may actually be the best running back
in all of college football.
So there you got it, the top 10 in the group of five
and the top five in the FCS.

The top 25 in the power four.
And again, this is Southeast College football page,
top 25.
And I was just taking a peek and seeing the differences.
I mean, again, this is yours.
It doesn't mean that AP knows anything more than you do.
The good thing is they play it on the field at the end.
And I was just saying as well,
with these huge conferences,
not everybody plays everybody again.
You have to kind of project a lot,
especially AP until we get to the end of the season.
So again, so much of it is the eye test, isn't it?
Sure.
You were quick to spy it at number 25 here.
We watch games, you know, my son and I,
and a couple of other guys, Jerry Grunos, in with us.
And we discuss what we see.
And we like exactly what you were talking about,
regarding Nebraska.
So it's not often that you can lose two in a row
and then get back into the top 25.
But it was the way they played against Ohio State
that really got us.
And then comparing them with other lower potential lower ranked teams.
So 25 is Nebraska.
And then number 24 is Duke.
And boy, they got to be kicking themselves.
They lost to SMU 2827 at overtime.
They forced six turnovers.
I mean, they had everything set up to win that football game.
They had a chance to win it.
But their last second field goal,
short field goal was blocked.
And then they went for the two point conversion in the first overtime.
They didn't have to.
They could have kicked the extra point.
6 and 2, Duke still having a great year.
But boy, that's one at the end of the season.
I bet you they're going to look back and just be shaking their head.
Yeah, and you know, we were talking about,
do you go for two?
And I was kind of spouting off about when you're home,
keep playing.
When you're on the road, maybe.
And then I think you made the better point when you said,
if they're better than you are,
if they have more talent.
And that's something we used to always tell the kids in basketball.
And if they're better than us, we want to shorten the game.
Because the longer the game goes, the more likely the talent surfaces.
No, and they have Miami.
So that's why you don't want to lose that game either.
Because Miami on the road coming up tonight.
We're going groups of two here to move things forward.
You have number 23, Illinois.
6 and 2 after losing the Oregon.
And then number 22, Missouri.
And we talked about Mizzou a little bit last week going into that game against Alabama.
It's not a good day.
And Tuscaloosa.
No, I mean, Alabama took it to him 34 to zip.
You know, I got some resistance from the guys on Illinois.
But my point on Illinois is, look, they have two losses.
Who beat them?
Oregon beat them.
I mean, the bad.
Oregon got them good.
I would have in the North, the Northwest there.
And then they lost the Penn State.
The game that they were in in the fourth quarter.
So Illinois, 6 and 2.
They're losses if there is such a thing.
We're good losses.
And so there they lie at 23.
And they were 24 in the AP.
So you're.
Oh, we're there.
Okay.
Right there.
Then you have 22.
It's going to be 21.
Colorado.
Coming off a nice win against Cincinnati.
34, 23.
And number 20 Ole Miss.
And they knocked off Oklahoma last week to sort of settle things down after a couple of hiccups.
Yeah, maybe we can get a Colorado and Ole Miss came.
I'd like to see Deon and Lane on the same field.
I see them by the same day as for the pregame press conference.
Yeah, you know, I wonder what Deon would say about all those guys falling down.
But Colorado has quietly emerged.
You know, they're sitting at 6 and 2.
And they are in the running for a shot at that big 12 championship game.
So kudos to Deon.
They're finding a way.
Travis Hunter.
They're.
Guy who, you know, they're bionic of man.
Just keeps showing up and playing.
Yes, he does.
I mean, he does not take many breaks.
That's for sure.
You have at number 19 Washington State.
And then you have a number 18 SMU.
You mentioned Washington State again in that sort of twilight zone of the pack to this year.
And still trying to fight their way into consideration.
And then SMU and that huge road win in Durham last week and that overtime win against Duke.
Yes.
And you know, Washington State is kind of in to be mood to triangle.
You're not sure what to do with them.
ESPN still lists the pack 12 as a conference.
They actually are playing a Mountain West schedule.
So should I be ranking them in the group of five?
So they're an outlier.
You know, but we, we kept them here.
And then the pen is probably a good way to put them.
Yes.
I think the way you would listen to most probably the right way.
I think you're right.
And we, what we did was we just kept the power to employees for now.
You have Kansas State boy 17 and Alabama 16 K state.
They had their hands full against Kansas boy.
Kansas said this year they are just finding ways to lose every week.
They had a chance to win on the road in Manhattan.
But in the end, a case stayed away.
But when I think it's 16 times in a row, they beat Kansas, which is amazing.
Kansas has been pretty good for a number of years now, few years at least.
And then Alabama looking like Alabama again.
Yeah.
Well, you know, they've got some things to fix defensively.
If they, you know, a lot of people talk about the incongruities of a guy like Milro one minute.
He looks great.
Next minute, not so much.
That's where what's heard them in my opinion is their defense of inconsistencies.
Because Alabama, normally, you know, during the saving years, they would make that up.
Defensive, they would get a stop when they needed one.
And so that's what happened last week.
Chad, they looked like an Alabama D.
And frankly, you know, after that game, I thought, I think if there's a team that could make a move,
I think it's Alabama from the 16 to fight their way back in.
Because when you went over the SEC and the conference, you had like five for six teams listed,
not which were Alabama.
Yeah.
They're still there, aren't they?
Yeah.
You know, what I did there, because they could have gotten unmanageable.
Right, right.
So one loss, you know, zero or one, you were in.
But yes, you 100% right?
Because on any given day, they're going to come out and they're going to let you know they are Alabama.
And then you have LSU also for the SEC also with two losses now after losing to A&M last week by 15.
And then Clemson again, a team that's from the ACC.
And again, this playing very consistent good football since that opening loss.
Yeah, you know, LSU is really talented.
The thing you love about them, they've got a mentality that reminds me of Michigan State.
You know, Michigan State over the years.
And I'm going back to the 60s now.
They would look down at the other end of the field and didn't care who was there.
They were the Spartans, they were Michigan State, and they were getting after you.
And LSU, you get the same sense of them.
They're going to get after it.
And they did against A&M until they took our Wigman and put in their running quarterback.
And whoever was running the D, LSU never seemed to find a solution to that.
And that game was a very close game and it ended up like 38 to 23 A&M.
You got Iowa State still undefeated at number 13.
Heading into their game against Texas Tech.
And another team that you usually don't talk about is undefeated at this point.
Pit at number 12.
So the old Johnny Majors connection again this week back the back with Iowa State and Pittsburgh.
You're right about that.
I remember, front of my Tommy O'Connor, 6-11 center for the Iowa State basketball team,
was there when Johnny Majors was coaching.
So I met him a couple times, you know, while we were in Ames.
But what a great history that guy brings to come with what he did at Tennessee.
And then if you remember, Iowa State got really good in the years that Johnny Majors was there.
So anyway, and then of course the work he did at Pit was terrific.
And then number 11, still trying to crack their way into the top 10, Indiana.
Yeah, I kind of went back and forth with BYU, you know, and Indiana, in my opinion,
could be as high as six.
They're right there, you know, they might, when you talk about Notre Dame or Iowa State or Miami or Tennessee,
or India, you know, or BYU, Indiana, my people line up and be any of those.
And the thing about this year again is the fact that you have the 12 teams.
So a team like Indiana that had to battle from basically outside,
and I've said this before, where a lot of the rankings tend to be where you start.
I mean, sometimes you, a team has to work, work, work to get all the way up there.
If you start off as number four in the country, I mean, you can afford a stub toe
and still be in the top 10.
But a team that's outside the top 25 to start, they have to, they have to win a lot, don't they?
And I have said that's one of our mattress.
I suppose that you could, you could point to Nebraska and say,
how can you lose two games and get, get back to 25?
The reality is, the perception can destroy a preseason pole.
And you really need to watch how teams are playing.
And in fairness, I don't know how much the coaches have time to watch.
They're busy trying to prepare for who's next.
And the AP or the writers, a lot of times can have conference agendas
or local team agendas where, you know, at this point,
we certainly don't have the same access to information.
And we are going to take a quick time out and then come back and give you the top 10.
Who are the top 10 teams in college football from the power four
and the Sully's college football page ranking.
So that's straight ahead as we are getting closer and closer to kick off 15 minutes away
from the big one in Pennsylvania between PSU and OSU.

We are up to number 10 for the power for.
And number 10, again, what a year it's been for BYU in the big 12 conference.
Now, still perfect after beating Central Florida 3724, BYU number 10.
Yeah, you got to buy a week and you couldn't be happier for a Kalani Sataki.
Good guy. And last week, they're still not getting much respect.
Central Florida was favored in that game.
And BYU just came out and took care of business.
So hope they keep rolling.
Tennessee, 61 from the SEC, kind of a little bit of a teeter with the lost Arkansas, but then that big comeback against Alabama.
And they are number 9 with Kentucky coming up next.
Yeah, this is a trap game. They got to be ready to go, Mark Stoops struggling a little bit this year.
This would be a way for them to get a lot of redemption to their season.
So Tennessee needs to be ready in this.
And all those SEC teams, you can't afford the, I mean, as I said with Alabama, they lose a couple.
They kind of fall all of the top six.
But again, there's a lot of movement with this in this conference.
Obviously every game is very difficult.
And you just can't afford to lose a game like that at home against Kentucky.
You know, it's funny you say that because fine bomb was complaining that Sabin lost the Alabama game in the Van Rill.
Because Sabin was saying exactly what you were saying that, you know, this league, you got to be ready to play with the lone exception of maybe Van.
And then Vandy beat Alabama.
Number eight is Notre Dame and is Notre Dame now becoming dangerous?
I think Notre Dame, if things go according to hell, they got to buy this week, Florida State next week, Virginia, and then Army or Army, you know, those three.
And then they've got the SEC.
And Chad, I can't tell you how many times I've seen undefeated or one lost Notre Dame teams go out there and get beat.
And I'll tell you, they lost Benjamin Morrison, they're all American cornerback.
He will be needed and not available against those SEC receivers.
Ohio State number seven. And this was one of the areas.
I was a little different between your rankings and the AP.
The AP has them up at number four.
Ohio State is it simply because they did not run the ball well.
They did not win at home at the level that they should have last week against Nebraska.
All of them, I think, you know, the defense is not playing with with a lot of machizo.
You know, they're not getting after people like you'd like to see why they can't run the ball
with juggons and Henderson is something that's a bigger mystery than to be immune to triangle.
I cannot figure that out because your line is good.
So they're just a mystery.
The one thing I would say about them is they need to play tougher.
They've just got to come out and get after people defensively.
And then really established a run.
Number six Miami, they were able to beat a struggling Florida State last week.
And now coming up in just a few minutes, they have Duke who is again, six and two.
But talent wise, you know, Miami's got so much talent.
Duke has so much brain power, 20 point favors, but Miami just keeps on winning.
Yeah, they find ways.
And you know, the reality is they are on a collision course with pit or Clemson or SMU pick one.
And there's nothing here that indicates that Miami from a talent perspective would be at a disadvantage against any of those teams.
Number five is Texas and they had lost that game against Georgia.
And they almost fell into that Vanderbilt trap last week.
Vandy looking for another skin to put on the wall and they had Alabama.
They almost got Texas 2724.
You know, and how great would that have been to save for the Vandy faithful that you beat Alabama and Texas in the same year of football?
So I was really pulling for them at the end, but close, but not quite.
Is Texas struggling?
You know, I think Texas, you know, my perception that I'm changed to Ted when they were struggling and a sarcasm went to Manning.
I thought, what are you doing?
Man, this guy has taken you and it kind of created, I don't know, like doubt.
I guess this is the word I would use too.
Then number four, you got Texas A&M all the way up at number four after that big, big win against LSU.
They won every game since that early stub toy against Notre Dame.
And as you talked about earlier, this is a big test coming up at South Carolina tonight.
Yeah, they're the only undefeated team in conference play in the in the Southeastern Conference.
This team really is good across the board.
And now with the potential of a quarterback change to a completely different way to play that position is going to be interesting to see.
But I'll tell you today against South Carolina, they better be careful.
Number three, Penn State.
We saw them in Madison last week, knock off the Badgers.
And now they get set for that massive game coming up with kickoff in less than 10 minutes, taking on Ohio State Penn State.
Again, we've talked about the fact they've always kind of been on the fringes of the national title discussion.
If they win today, there's no doubt that they truly are right in that mix, right?
Oh, yeah.
You know, they put themselves one step closer to a big 10 championship if they can beat Ohio State and run the table.
They've done everything that the team that would show up, perhaps Oregon.
But, you know, we, here we are again, Indiana is the possibility.
The thing I'm looking for in this game, which starts here in about seven minutes, is Ohio State and some altercations early in that game where you know those guys mentally are in it.
Not that we're advocating fighting, but we're advocating to coaches have to stop it.
And then number two, Georgia, and they've worked their way back after that loss against Alabama.
They have the cocktail party against Florida and Jacksonville today.
I think that's going to be a very competitive game.
You know, the SEC does not want us saying that it's the rules.
That's why we say it.
But anyway, yeah, Florida, you know, grandmerts, you know, I always cheer for that kid.
I'm hoping he goes on. He has a great game.
But this might be just too big of a bite of the apple with this Georgia team.
And they are playing now really well defensively.
And number one in Southeast college football page, top 25 is Oregon.
And early in the season, you had to, I think you made them earn it.
But they have earned it, haven't they?
Yeah, they really have.
And I'll tell you, the thing that they really needed to do against Illinois was come out after them.
And Chad, that was the most aggressive I've seen Oregon playing a while.
If they came out, took that game over and by the late first quarter, you thought Illinois is not going to be able to be competitive in this game.
And actually, it's going to be very interesting seeing that game against Michigan.
Because frankly, that's the kind of game they should come out and kind of take it to them.
You know, if you're the number one team, you got a Michigan team that's struggled a little bit.
I'm curious to see if Oregon can kind of make a statement against Michigan today.
Yeah, well, you know, if you remember the Texas game, you and I were talking about the fact that Texas came out and scored 27 points in the first half.
We would have been okay if they would have did that in a second half when Michigan's offense was unable to move the ball and the D got wore down.
But I thought that Michigan D got exposed in that game.
And I am if I were a Michigan man, I would be fearful of that kind of start defensively.
They cannot play from behind against this Oregon team.
So coming up here in the next few minutes, I think two very interesting big 10 games can flip back and forth between OSU and PSU obviously huge.
But I think that Minnesota Illinois game will also be just as entertaining.
Well, you know, I mean, if you're a big 10 fan, which I certainly am, I am interested in all these games today.
There is a lot going on in that league.
And while I am still, you know, I guess mirrored in the previous century conferences should be located at the geographic placement.
I have preceded the choir.
You know, some of these games, though, Chad, have really been adding.
I think the college football when you got SC coming in here.
And finally, the badgers in Iowa, you said during the 10 game challenge, you like Iowa.
I do because with my mind now, I am a bad guy.
Right.
You're wearing the motion W right on.
But you know, and I'm pulling for them.
I just think that they're going to struggle to run the ball.
What I've seen the last couple of weeks, this Iowa defense is going to say hello.
And they're going to say it often.
I just think that they're going to struggle there.
And then the game kind of falls back to the passing game.
And, you know, luck gives you what he's got.
But, you know, I just don't think that'll be enough in this game.
