great to be back with you guys I'm thrilled to be back on the air and it's just

the Intermission. One of the big updates that we had we just got it done over
Labor Day but since it is the sport season and football is upon us we did a full
upgrade on our TVs and AV at the bar so we've got some brand new TVs in there
they're bigger they're brighter they're better everything is set up and sort
of set up for that college football experience so you know a lot of places
downtown have music or dinner or other things going on but we're a place that
has the game on and you can stop in and ask for the game you want and we'll get
it put on for you. There you go. Fantastic so obviously you do see a lot of
college football all the time at the Intermission so let's jump right into the
a 10 game challenge here in going up against Sully and up first nine
conference game and a good nine conference game got Michigan State taking on
Boston College and Michigan State with a new head coach off to a great start
Jonathan Smith Boston College with Bill O'Brien off to a great start as well
and we'll start off with Ian. You know I think this is a really interesting
game. The interesting thing in these weeks is that there's games that look like
they should be close and then sometimes games that turn out to not be very
close. I think this one could go either way but I kind of think Boston College
is going to have an edge here. I think MSU despite their good start I'm still
trying to establish themselves a little bit. I think this one could go either
way but I like Boston College in this one. You know Ian I'm with you on that I
think Boston College gets this done at home. Chad mentioned the new coaches
both successful coaches. I have always admired Bill O'Brien I thought he went
into an almost impossible situation at Penn State and really navigated very
very difficult waters off to a great start played well against Missouri in
that loss. So I'm with you Ian BC gets this done. Up next the rivalry game
between Texas Christian and Southern Methodist the battle for the iron skillet
and of course Texas Christians had some really terrific seasons recently and
SMU has been growing slowly but surely as well and we'll start this time with
solid. Well SMU went to the ACC for no money they get no they've been desperate
to get back to this level and even though TCU has had their way against them I
think in the last 24 times or 24 games TCU went in favor. I like SMU in the
upset I think this is what they wanted they wanted to get back to a power
conference probably would have preferred to play with Texas in the big 12 but
nonetheless I think they're gonna come up make a statement and get TCU today at
home. You know I actually have the same pick I'm going with SMU as well I think
ever since TCU lost in the national you know championship game there I think
that they've been trying to reestablish themselves figure things out and like
you said I think SMU is hungry they're pushing I think this is gonna be a fun
game. Up next we got a big 12 match up and yep Arizona State one of the new
members of the big 12 conference off to a flying start perfect at three and all
and Texas Tech two and one so far this season again one of those interesting new
conference matchups we're gonna see all over the country this season and we'll
start off with Ian. This one I think I like Texas Tech in Arizona State has
done some good things I've also seen them fall apart sometimes when it matters
the most I think Texas Tech is gonna hang on to this one and get it done. Yeah
you know I'm with you on Joey McGuire the coach at Texas Tech I think he's
he has really done a good job high school coach well well loved in Texas by
the high school coaches because he's one of theirs but I'm gonna go with
Arizona State in this game I think Arizona State Kenny Dillingham has done
really good work there and surprising you know Arizona was seen as the
better team but so far this year it's been Arizona State and they have got an
opportunity here to go into Texas and get a win. Up next I don't know this might
not be much of a challenge you see LA coming off their mass of loss against
Indiana taking on LSU who's trying to slowly but surely bounce back after their
season opening loss to USC. I think we know what you think about it earlier I'm
gonna go out on a little bit of hot tickle there. Yeah I'm gonna take LSU I
mean any glimmer of hope the game would have had been at the Rose Bowl and LSU
would have had to turn it over four or five times so this is not a great game to
pick but I like LSU I think they're gonna go in there and just take care of
business since that opening loss to SC they've been in playoff mode they need to
keep winning and I think they're gonna come out and make a statement today at
home. No I'm a hundred percent with you on that I think really the thing to watch
here is just gonna be you know obviously you don't want us to be like oh UCLA is
for sure to lose but to see how they play even when they're down if they
continue to play well execute their game plan play sound defensively you
know this is gonna be a game that might tell you a lot about UCLA whatever the
final score turns out to be. That's good point. Up next it's another one of
those new conference matchups and this one is a powerhouse conference matchup
in the SEC Tennessee and Oklahoma both teams off the three and all start so
far this season old home week for the Tennessee head coach you know what
do you think? This game I'm excited for this game this is when I kind of want to
just sit down and watch and see how it plays out at this point I think it comes
down to the fact that this is a lot of people are talking about this could be
Tennessee's year Tennessee is loaded Tennessee really needs to continue to
step on the gas you know if they're gonna continue to compete in the SEC I
think Oklahoma while good probably doesn't have it quite as much of that
pressure and I think with it being the homecoming for you know for the Tennessee
head coach I think it's gonna be a good game but I think Tennessee is gonna get
this one taken care of. Yeah I'm with you Tennessee while they haven't
played really good competition they played Chattanooga which is an FCS team
hammered them I scored 69 in that game then they did play a team that was
projected to be in pretty good in North Carolina state and hammered them 51
to 10 and then last week they beat arguably the weakest team in the all of the
FPS can state 71 to nothing so a whole lot of energy they're gonna get some
adversity tonight but I just don't think Oklahoma who struggled against
Houston 16 to 12 I like Tennessee in the game. We got to give Ken states some
kudos though for probably getting couple of the biggest checks that anybody's
gonna be getting here in the last couple of weeks between going to Tennessee
with with over a hundred thousand folks and they're going to Penn State they're
probably getting good checks by going to these games right. You're just gonna
do the Northern Illinois thing you get the check and the win. Yeah they're gonna
walk away with over 2.5 million so they may lose by 70 points each week but
they're still winners on the bottom line. How many dollars per point does that
work out? Every other athletic team in that school owes them a thank you you
bet. Again our guest today for the 10 game challenge is Ian Reese bartender

five of these games. Anything else you'd like to add about the experience over at
the intermission? Um you know really just that one of the big things that we

there during a packer game we've got three different generations screaming at
the TV you know and that's the that's the community that we want to have

about the community and wants to have a good time that's what we're all about
down there we cannot talk about the intermission without talking about Jimmy
Cruz we certainly can and Cruz claimed the athletic fame is Metal Arc lemon from
the Harlem Grove Trotters challenged made the mistake of challenging
Cruz at the front of the rim and Cruz basically told him get that out of my
neighborhood and half time one of the guys came in with you know with the
soda for the guys and he said to Cruz Hey Metal Arc said great block and if you
do that again you're going to be looking for work so you always got to give
Cruz a shout out for that I never get in Cruz's way on the court you know
his ghost in the post fantastic our sixth game as we continue the 10 game
challenge again one of the big ones one of the blue blood battles it's a new
big 10 match up a USC and Michigan there's a many national champs in the big
house hosting the Trojans solid what do you think well I think this is an
absolute great game you know early on in the season I have to say I'm real
interested in how as these defense plays against Michigan who earlier this
week said they are committed to running the ball they want this game played in
the meathouse they want the not in space these teams have played 10 times eight
of them have been in the Rose Bowl I'm telling you looking really looking
forward to the game and I'm going to say I like SC in a hard fought battle as he
gets in space and I think this is going to be another one of those great
games for sure I was very much on the fence with this one but one of my one of
my friends who goes to intermission is the biggest Michigan fan that I've
ever met in my life and he said he would be listening this morning so I
decided I can't pick against my buddy Max so I'm going to go with Michigan I do
think the run game is going to get it done obviously they're starting at new
a quarterback but I think this Michigan needs to get a big win they need to
prove that they still have you know the core of that team that competed in one
the national championship last year I think USC has a lot to prove but I think
Michigan has enough Michigan man on that team to get it done and a hundred nine
thousand people in the stands that are thinking they can as well another really
good early season conference matchup I was complaining maybe there's more
conference games than I was talking about because this is another good
conference matchup all the big 12 you got Utah and Oklahoma state and I think
both these teams have high expectations are trying to be in their conference
championship game at the end of the season Ian what do you think I mean it's
tough to rule out happened you know what happened the last time these folks
played silly hopefully informing this was in 1945 and OSU 146 to 6 so taking
that into account I am going to take Utah in this game for a huge revenge game
for Utah here but no I like Utah I think Oklahoma state obviously Mike
Undy's a grown man but I think that they haven't but I think that Utah is
going to get the edge here and I think they're going to get it done well you know
Cal would he have is one of the best I kept secrets in college football you
know when people talk about the best coaches they don't talk about him
nearly enough that said Mike Undy just seems to get things done in these
kind of games except if they're playing Oklahoma then they know but I'm
going to I'm going to respectfully part ways there I'm going to go at Oklahoma
state at home and they get you taught in which I thought was the most
difficult game at least for me to pick another really good matchup as Kansas
state and BYU again a couple of teams off to a really good starts and another
chance to establish one of these teams again as a team to watch in the big
12 of Kansas State BYU Sully yeah you know like the fact that BYU is
emerging you know the average age on this team is about 23 and a half you know
they get the kids doing the mission which you know we're always supportive of
and yet I really like this Kansas State team I saw them play and beat off a
very good two lane team a couple weeks ago so I like them going to Provo and
getting BYU they get this done today this was a tough game to pick no
question about it I did a little bit of research I believe if I'm correct
nobody has one like it as a true visiting team between these two teams and
like 40 or 50 years or something like that it's been a long time that a
visiting team has gone in and one I'm not being paid by the Mormon Church but I
am going to pick BYU here and go double you to on this one I think this one's
going to be great it would not surprise me at all of K state pulled it off but I'm
going to ride with BYU and I got to tell you I've been in a Mormon tab and
echo choir and they have got the money to pay you a game number nine Georgia
Tech again off to a really good start they started off with that one against
Florida State able to really I think establish themselves as a program that's
been working its way up the last couple of years and they take on Louisville
in a really interesting ECC game and Ian what do you think I have to be honest I
close at the bar last night so I fell asleep thinking about college football I
woke up thinking about college football and I'm pretty sure I had a dream last
night where I was picking this stuff and this is the one pick I remember from
my dream so I'm picking Georgia Tech I don't really know which way this game is
going to go I think you can make a compelling case for either side but if it was
in my dream it's good enough for me so Georgia Tech baby let's do it all right
and you know they won two of the last three times these teams have played
Chad and I were talking about this guy earlier Jeff Brown really really a great
coach I think this year with all the the rhetoric with Miami and you know
what Florida State struggles Louisville's kind of the forgotten guy here and all
of this I think they come out and they make a statement at home against Georgia
Tech who at to this point has played pretty well but I I'm gonna respectfully
again part ways with here and I'm gonna go with Louisville and then by
late game number 10 big 10 prime time on NBC Iowa and Minnesota both teams with
disappointing losses they probably both thought they should have won
North Carolina for Minnesota Iowa State for Iowa and slowly what do you think I
think this is the 118th time these teams have kicked it off Minnesota leads
the series here 63 52 to two ties with two ties this is another very
difficult game Iowa has one 10 of the last 12 times they played I like PJ
though today in the upset I think Minnesota gets it done at home I'm a big 10
guy and there's nothing quite like big 10 football especially in the
early fall in the late summer big 10 football run in the ball sometimes it's
ugly sometimes it's really beautiful nobody does big 10 quite like Iowa does
and I can't for PJ flex so I'm going with Iowa let's get this thing nobody
does ugly like I was in fact Ian race any final thoughts a really nice job I'm
curious to see if you beat off on solid here but any final thoughts about the
intermission bar me in a great place to see the games I just wanted to say thank

well start with Delaware because you were already explaining to me what your
thought process was here why is this something that's maybe a little
different than maybe what some people and that's a good segue to it because
Delaware you will not find ranked anywhere on espn or any of the other
services because they're a team that's in transition
from the fbrfcs which is the sixty three scholarship programs
to the fbs to football ball subdivision the badgers and others um
eighty five scholarships uh... and so they are not being
ranked nor can they play in the coastal athletic association
for championships and yet they are part of the fcs and since we're not
party to any of those agreements and for you know if if not deserves
certainly de facto their part of the fcs and so we rank them uh... at number
five two and oh they beat nc 18t last week
and they they the ivy league starts now you know and so they're playing
pan a pretty good club out of the out of the ivy league uh... at uh... four
and three got a pair of big sky conference uh... schools
Idaho's been very impressive against good competition early this season
and uh... Montana state who's been uh... among the uh... teams talked about at
the top of this uh... division for a number of years now yeah
Montana state that you know kind of speaks for itself really good program
battle every year with uh... with Montana but this year i think Idaho
is gonna have a say in that league they uh... they were down seventeen to fourteen
against uh... against organ in the fourth quarter
and then they beat Wyoming out in west fbs team last week seventeen thirteen
so the reality is this Idaho team is gonna make some noise
going on into the big sky as we get into the conference play
and then the top two teams as they tend to be near the top all the time
number two north Dakota state and then number one south Dakota state
yeah north Dakota state had a real they played Tennessee state uh... two weeks
ago and then last week they played a little better club out of Tennessee east
Tennessee state and survived they beat them thirty five or thirty eight thirty
five in a very good ballgame uh... highly contested game
and then south Dakota state played Augustana a real good division two team
and Augustana hung with up twenty four to three i mean south Dakota state got
them but you're talking about the best team right now in the fcs uh... struggling
a little bit with uh... with a very good Augustana club and do you know who the
most famous football a love of Augustana is
is that that is that the quarter bank from Everest

watch the wall watch the wall yeah a little bit of knowledge that's good info
group of five we'll talk about the top ten uh...
school groups of three here we'll start with number ten James Madison
the number nine south florida and number eight Texas state
yeah you know um... south florida uh... is a team that i think can make
some waves in the american they are really a good club
and they've got a very interesting game today against Miami
you know and the game in this week is at south florida
they have had this game circle for a long time
these kids know each other off Florida kids there's going to be no
intimidating factor that Miami likes to bring
so this is one game that i would highly recommend a very good south florida team
had bamba you know they ended up losing a game twenty or forty two to sixteen
or something but bamba scored twenty one points in fourth quarter so they were
right there at the end of three then you have at number seven coastal
carolina uh... number six you tap
okay i mean it says eight number six liberty and number five you and all the
yeah you and all these been kind of the surprise team uh...
they uh... they beat uh... Kansas last week you know it's Kansas uh... you know
we've kind of alluded Illinois having a success beat two ranked teams in a row
i don't know unless that Illinois did that um... you and all v then follow that
up and beat Kansas as well this is a very good team they're going to make some
noise in the mountain west liberty is kind of going to have their way in what i
would consider to be the weakest of the group of five conferences conference
you as they they should be fine there and i'll tell you coastal carolina
uh... and some of the other teams in the sun belt are all capable
number four northern illinois uh... they've been joined still the uh... afterglow of
their win at Notre Dame and number three Toledo both on the mid-american
yeah i'll tell you that northern Illinois looks to be the real deal we're
gonna see going forward here because Toledo i went to mississippi state
now granted mississippi state would be lowered here in the scc still
scc but it's still the scc and they still recruit really good players
Toledo which we've always talked about their speed their one mac team that
always seems to be able to run they uh... they just took a two mississippi state
forty one to seventeen so not only was the win surprising the score was
shocking and then the top two got boys these states from the mountain west
and Memphis and Memphis again uh... with our central Wisconsin connection
getting the big win against Florida state so number one Memphis
yeah you know i'll tell you these two teams are are really uh... kind of neck and
neck now for that new year's day six ball that the group of five gets
i still like Memphis in this i think by going to Florida state
even though Florida state was on to they were at home and you think sooner or
later they are not without talent right Florida state they still have
talent or they seem to be lost mentally but they can still play
so big win there for Memphis and boys he seems to have regained their
their swagger you know they kind of struggled a little bit a year ago
but they've righted the ship and this is a team are they coming off a bite they
got Portland state today out of the big sky really won't be much of a

it he separates the group of five and the power four and these are the top twenty five schools
in the power four as we get fewer and fewer power conferences yes more and more from the same
conferences but uh... let's start off at number twenty five and perhaps a team that will be
a little higher next week after their win over Nebraska last week uh... Brett Pilema and the
Illinois fighting a line ice they were nine point uh... dog in this game and i'll tell you
like i said earlier i was impressed with the way they competed you know there were ninety
thousand people screaming at him a lot like what ls you did a week ago with self-care line
which is one of the loudest arenas they just kept their focus
Illinois was all about the business of getting it done and big big win for belama
another uh... big ten team indiana as we thought earlier a massive win on the west coast
opening up the big ten with that win over us the l.a. and they have Charlotte coming up next
yeah the best thing about this game for indiana is Kurt signety because he is a kind of guy that
is all about execution seems to tell the kids and teach the kids to forget the scoreboard
scoreboard focus on execution scoreboard will take care of itself so look for them to be ready
to play in a game that others might not be mentally ready to go number twenty three
Washington state uh... they've been a busy busy group haven't they they had Washington
last week and then last night where they were in action to play an overtime double overtime
game against San Jose state and one of the interesting they win oh yeah we mentioned
I know i forgot though yeah they were fifty four fifty two double overtime i forgot here's the
thing you're gonna like though their coach uh... San Diego state check uh... San Jose state
is Kenny Nima Talolo you know the option except they're running the spread they were throwing
the ball everywhere so i think for Kenny this has kind of been a liberating experience
because they're wide open in their office now after a tough year last season Pittsburgh
off to a very good start three and all they've been able to win some tight games as well early
and come from behind win against west virginia last week thirty eight thirty four they're number
twenty two yeah they beat Cincinnati the week before twenty eight to twenty seven so you know uh...
patty and our doozy he's living a charm life this year they got an interesting game today in
young sound state one of the fcs programs uh... that's been very successful over the years
but i'll tell you right now it's got to go and so look for them to roll in this number twenty one
michigan they have an opportunity to move up today uh... but they beat Arkansas state last week
in the u.s.c today yeah they got which joins this team but for my my liking that game was way too
competitive i was looking for michigan to you know to step up now and get things rolling didn't happen
and today is it's really an interesting game yeah especially watching that sc defense playing
number twenty norter dainty bounce back from that lost in northern illinois with a beatdown to
Purdue better than i have a letdown at home against another uh... mid major against uh... mayami
yeah you know they came back uh... after that what was horrible loss for them uh... to give
Purdue its worst loss in Purdue football history so big win there i'll tell you what
my amy of all i'll is always a perennial power in the mac their coach chuck martin many would say
was the best assistant uh... brine kelly had it no to dame so he's familiar with the irish
no to dame eerily is a twenty eight point favorite in this game exactly what they were against
northern illinois except this time i think the illinois or excuse me the uh... no to dame players
are paying attention number nineteen a brasco but they'll be going down
yeah they uh... that was a tough loss for them
and uh... you know i'm i'm high on this team you know i've always thought a lot of maddie Campbell
i was quite frankly surprised that they didn't get this done at home against delinois
this team needs to regroup and regroup fast uh... number seven uh... number eighteen is a
Louisville and uh... again uh... bramda seems to do a good job first at Purdue now at Louisville
yeah you know like i said earlier they're the kind of the forgotten team there are very dangerous
in the a cc and are quite capable of lining up and playing right with my amy so look for them
today to come out make a statement against tech ls you saved their year last week with that
comfort behind win at south carolina number seventeen yeah you cla uh... you you know kelly is
going to be pounded on the table he may even break into his newly found southern accent trying to
get the ls you players attention because they need to focus in this game chances are they will but
they cannot not just show up here you cla has that for us uh... number sixteen is texas anem
and uh... again i understand there are name but what have they done to be number sixteen to be
honest with you they lost to an order name team that is improving to be a great team yet
why are they number sixteen i'm gonna put you on the spot right here well you know that's a fair
question uh... my thought on an am is there they they have a high functioning quarterback
their defense of line maybe one of the best in the country you should they showed that against
Notre Dame and so i think this is a team that will continue to develop uh... and i think they're
where they belong for right now they're going to go into the scc and then you know you can say
i told you solidation or you'll tell you hey they've proven that they are worthy of that
and even better because if they do win in the scc they're not going to be sixteen they're
going to be much higher than that yes they are yeah that's the great thing and the the misery
of playing in that league you can always advance you know and yet it's very difficult to do so
number fifteen and again i think one of your favorite guys uh... Kyle uh... in you top a number
fifteen the fighting the youths of the Utah yeah you know and and i did pick against them today i
kind of winning him uh... is really really an outstanding coach and it's done really good work
in the back twelve he uh... about eight years ago he decided that they were a good mountain west team
playing in the back twelve completely changed how they recruit and now they've they've been at the
top of that league for the last six seven years speaking of the team they're playing a team you
picked Oklahoma state number fourteen yeah that's gundy you know i've watched his teams uh... they
were getting pounded a couple weeks ago against Arkansas they just keep playing more so than any
other team you watch i saw the Irish having down twenty eight to seven now they kept going they
under the beaten other name they came back and beat Arkansas i think they at home i do they get
it down against you top number thirteen oklahoma they uh... beat to lane last week thirty four nineteen
but now the challenge begins the first season in the first game in the southeastern conference i'll
tell you what that stadium is going to be rocking tonight because you know oklahoma is like hey
we don't care about the scc we're oklahoma man and so here comes Tennessee with all the energy
that they're bringing uh... this team right now Tennessee uh... i think that is playing as well as
anybody in terms of their execution tonight we're going to find out more about them because they're
in with the team that has the athleticism to play with them number twelve or again and uh... i don't
again like you i don't really take a look at some of the other rankings but it feels like
Oregon tell it why should be higher but again performance wise they're right where they should be
that's my thought on this team they uh... they from a talent perspective they are um
they are really really a talented club now the other thing and you talk about it a lot with
development you know you develop your players they've got a lot of portal guys here and so it
takes a little time you know to get in rhythm which is a big part of offense you have to know your
pace and so uh... i thought last week they uh... they played it was their third game member
Barry Elvarez used to say the third game is when you should hit your snap all that Oregon certainly
did and to do it in corvallis was very impressive oh yeah again i think i mean that's not a bad
Oregon state team and they made them look pretty silly at times didn't they yeah they did and i
remember a great scc team going out there with all those linebackers Matthews and uh... uh uh
i can't me ray me a little my alluga and then it was a kid it was better than both of them but
anyway they um uh... they they're a dangerous team there you know and i'll tell you Oregon
went in and said no not today and again another of my favorite schools as cancer state because they
just do it every year i mean man again it's sort of like the Wisconsin story from about 30 40
years ago where they were just terrible bills nighter came and turned them around and uh he came
back again to turn them around and now they're now they they maintain that excellence the second
time that's nighter retired and right now they're undefeated in number eleven well Chris Clemenon
you know came from North Dakota state has done a really perfect fit there isn't yeah really is
and you know they uh... there a team that hits the junior college circuit you know
Kansas is not a heavily populated state not over abundance and football talent so they kind of
have a system that works and then whatever they do and they get those guys in they get them ready
to go quickly uh... so Kansas state doing what they typically do just outside the top ten so that's
twenty five through eleven some pretty good teams in those uh parts of the rankings but now we
get to the uh... the cremde la crem will take a quick time out and then tell you about the top ten
teams in college football and I will say uh... the conference uh... alignment starts mainly with the

i've definitely got mixed feelings but let's talk about the top ten teams in a college football
and starting with the number ten missouri and they had a bit of a struggle at home last week
against uh Boston college uh winning in the end but uh missouri takes a little bit of a dip in your
rankings yeah well you know that's one of the reasons what billio brine has done there
and the fact uh that we picked uh BC over michigan state today is related to this very game
missouri ran into somebody that could play and struggled mightily in fact they scored
like ten points in less than a minute at the end of the second quarter to to take a one point
lead but for most of that quarter they were down seven eight nine ten points
number nine pen state it's i swear for the last couple of years it feels like they've been
sort of around this number almost every week there's consistently a top ten team but usually
near the bottom half of the top ten yeah you know there is there is no reason why this year
this team doesn't challenge in the big ten their quarterback is experienced they got great runners
they've got one of the best defenses in the country their passing game last week allered through
the ball down the field um or two weeks ago i should say that by last week but he is throwing
the ball down the field more effectively this is a really good team and you're right about Ken state
they're uh they're gonna need five point mill or whatever they're getting uh to take care
of their medical bills number eight u.s.e uh again it's been a very good start for the
Trojans but today is uh one of those big early season tests at the big house yeah that went over
LSU that was a great game and a big big win for SC then last week Utah State uh the thing about
them is when Utah about seven eight years ago changed how they recruit many people don't realize
how good you uh Utah high school football is it's very good they produce a lot of D1 players
they're all now going to Utah State because Utah doesn't recruit them kids want to stay home
so monday i can see them so pretty good team SC went in there and annihilated them
uh because they're better now defensively big test today with the Michigan run game
number seven Miami and they took care of business against ball state 62 nothing but as you said
uh could be a challenging road game i sell Florida today oh i think so i i think so i think my
Emmy better bring it because you know i remember Miami coming out when they were playing Iowa and
that the game instead of the conflict versus Catholics it was felons versus farmers but anyway
when they came out they were running each sweat and encouraging the crowd the boom you know they
depended a little bit on that intimidating fact not today South Florida could care less about
those guys by the way real quickly Miami i mean well what they did of Florida what they did last
week they had a little bit of a tougher time in the middle but it does feel like they turn a
corner oh they have they have Mario christmos done good work there and he's done it through high
school recruiting you know they they hit the portal sure but they have done a really good job
the last two years they've been in the top 10 recruiting and to your point you got to develop
them too you know so it's not just what these recruiting uh guru say about this guys a four-star
this guy's a five-star my son used to say a guy's a three-star Saban is they find out Saban's
recruiting him the next cycle you know to he's a four-star you know yep you're so right on that
he's right on that absolutely uh number six Tennessee and again you talked about Ken state
the lower earlier they they they took the check and they took a 71 nothing beating uh at
kneeling last week but uh you talk about getting tougher going into uh Oklahoma tonight yeah there
is a couple things about Tennessee that is always interesting so when they're when they have
people on talking I'm always tuned into that their fan base may be the most delusional
anywhere in the in the country and they get to pay for it now more they do and they'll do it
you know this team right now is bringing a lot of energy defensively they look really I mean
they're playing at a really high level and you can say okay it's not against great competition
that's true but they're also playing to their level they're not going down to the competitions
which is weak tonight it's going to be interesting to see how they do it with Oklahoma good quarterback
play Oklahoma's good defensively federables you know that's his strength and while they struggled
in some games they find ways to win there at home first SEC game this is must see TV number five
Alabama do not get a bump after going into Madison and winning 42 to 10 now they'll just get ready
for the the massive matchup next week against Georgia yeah you know the thing is people in a
Southeast during conference will claim that Georgia now is the standard bear I don't think so
look at the last nine times that Alabama and Georgia have hooked up as recently as a year ago
in the in the SEC net or you know for kind of the national team but the SEC championship came
back and beat him. Bama has won eight of the last nine so I am for one person not willing to say
that Georgia is the standard bear until they start beating Alabama I like this team. Mississippi at
number four beating week 40 to six the number that stands out in that game is the six because we
hear about the big numbers offense we would link if and are they better defensively they certainly
are they're very good defensively especially in the front seven you know the thing about
um old miss is Jackson Dart their quarterback he throws it starts oh he does he does I mean it hits
bulls eyes you know the everybody is with Carson Beck you know the court Georgia quarterback I got
to tell you chat I'm not I think Jackson Dart is as or more accurate with the deep throws and the
other thing about him he's fast not only is he fast he's quick so this kid is the real deal and
he gives them a chance with that defense in any game and Ole Miss has Georgia Georgia Southern
coming up later on this evening Georgia holy cow they Kentucky got whooped the week before by
South Carolina home but every time that Kentucky host Georgia recently they're low scoring
slaubernockers I guess you'd call it and Kentucky had a chance but they weren't able to get
over the hump and Georgia survived Lexington 13 to 12 well Kirby Kirby smart kind of alluded to
the fact that he'd rather play just about anybody than Mark stoop system yeah whatever it is
the point nobody is slowed down that Georgia offense more than stoop in Kentucky or last six
years they they really that was a great game and there was a point that game where you thought
Georgia or excuse me where you thought Kentucky was gonna get him they had like a second and six
and turned them all over I can't exactly recall what happened but they were in position the build on
that lead you know and they were they were unable to get it done stoop's got a lot of criticism
because late in the game they had a fourth down at about the 45 48 yard line and they punted
late in the game I saw a lot of people saying how can you do that you're down by a point
you know they got them all back about five or ten seconds left yeah that was a big major mistake
and I have to agree with the criticism you have a chance to beat the number one team you got to
go for that midfield with under three minutes to go yeah you know what I think criticism like
that is fair the coaches make decisions and the heated them on my third thinking hey we've been
stopping these guys we got all our timeouts we can but then if Georgia becomes Georgia suddenly
and starts making plays which they are quite capable of doing I would be with you and the fans in
the sense that against a team like this you really don't want to increase the number of times
they have the ball because sooner or later the talent is going to surface number two Ohio
state they were off last week it says for Marshall coming up in a few minutes yeah you know I mean
Ohio state is really good and I still think they have the best starting lineup in college football
I think Georgia has the best roster based on how they recruit what they do in the portal
but I'll tell you you look at this Ohio state roster starters they are really something else
and quite capable of beating anybody in the country and winning it all number one Texas and
Texas obviously I would say has the best one-two combination in quarterbacks and coming up this
week we're going to see Archman eat his first start yeah they're calling him Manning Mania now you know
and so he he he started out the I think he completed his first pass then he ran for a touchdown
another all claiming that speed skips a generation you know the his uncles really didn't have all
that much speed he appears to have grandpa speed and ran about 60 yards for a for a touchdown now
he also has his critics there are people who do the recruiting services who say this kid is a
three star uh and if it wasn't if it wasn't for his lineage so he gets a couple of stars for the
name uh apparently that's what these guys think I'm not sure about that well well he looks off
yeah we're gonna see we're gonna see now we can get a chance today as they take on Louisiana
Monroe so it's not exactly a massive matchup but you have a chance to maybe build some numbers but
well we got about a minute to go as we get ready for again kick off coming up just after 11 o'clock
the games that you are most looking forward to today I think two and a big 12 you know I want to
say I'll be why you does against Kansas State the Oklahoma State Utah game is a big one but the
two that I think like most people that are focused on would be the game in in Ann Arbor you know
at the big house with SC coming in playing Michigan played 10 times SC will either series 6 to 4
eight of the games have been in the Rose Bowl so blue bloods and then tonight there's gonna be
so much energy in that game in Oklahoma with so many storylines first game ever in the SCC
the prodigal son returns the stupes and and and and you pull uh uh my saying that guy's name right
you pull is there who per a hypo yeah hypo yeah yeah anyway there's there's a lot of sublinials to
this so I'm I'm actually looking for the Iowa Minnesota game some slobber knocking and also
the Rutgers botek game I think those are interesting games as well but uh so enjoy the games
