Say Something Real · Mon Oct 19, 2026
Good morning. Good morning. What's happening family? Welcome to the show. It is Michelle. Brian here at WNOV 860 AM 106.5 FM. You are listening to say something real. Let me say good morning to the brothers in the building. What's going on with you right now?
Is that a hello? Yeah, let's not do that. I knew I should have started with Clark. I was like, right there. Clark, it was gonna be all crisp. The interaction was a little late.
The Lord told you the devil is busy with his very own. No, no, no. No. When people say, follow your first smile. Follow that. And I didn't. What's going on right now? How you doing? Well, you know, shall let me just say this. I call him the other day and he's like, I'm getting my hair done.
He's calling a man. Somehow, I'm getting my hair done. I'm getting my hair done. I'm getting my hair done. I'm getting my hair done. I'm getting my hair done. I'm getting my hair done. I'm getting my hair done. I'm getting my hair done. I'm getting my hair done. I'm getting my hair done.
Wait, let's ask Donald Trump. Donald Trump like turn around. Turn around. So Donald Trump can measure you up.
You ain't sizing me up brother. Yeah. So you can say, nice rear package, Jermaine. You got nice pair of buns. Hey man, shake man, pause brother. So how you doing fam? Did you work this weekend? Did we make some money? Shell. Did we make some money? Don't get, don't get, oh we friends. Do you have any great friends? We always gonna be friends. We, we, we. I stay friends with the money people. Okay. So, you know.
Well, you know, you staggered. I mean, you started it. It's not like you're trying to hide the brand from me. I did. I like that. Look, uh, what was your mind? We're all serious gear. What was your mind? I did. We was on the fanatics page. Like, ma'am, ma'am, ma'am. I'm ready to go Friday, baby.
How are you? Go. I'm ready to go. Menom tickets was running from a grand to two grand. I was like, oh, when you know somebody that knows somebody that knows somebody. Oh my, it's all about who you know. It's all about who you know. Well, I don't know nobody. That knows nobody. That knows nobody. The people I know run the parking lot.
Well, you know sale before we move on to Clark, please hurry up Pretty nice week for it to be October. I'll stick with guys
Me too. You leave the house all like, you know, because it's cold. Then you got to start stripping when you out. Man, it's ridiculous. I mean, I love it, but it's ridiculous. You know, I'm supposed to wear earmuffs, a snowsuit, two B socks, sandals at the same time. I'm sorry. Two B socks. Yeah. Are those two socks? Yeah, those are the ones I've never heard them called. Two B socks. No. Yeah. They come all the way up to your cat.
and he got stripes around. Tube socks. We call them tube socks. Who calls them tube socks? We call them tubey. We got tubey socks. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
So you don't make us no money this weekend
Both of y'all over there. See, I know what's happening because it's getting close to Christmas. You know, everybody gets stingy. I made some. I made a few hours. I did a little something. Well, you know, but it was a good weekend. It was a good weekend. I had the rest of this a day. My body kind of shut down. Boy, who are you telling? When I tell you I passed out and I've been tired for like two days and I'm sleepy right now.
You know, literally, like, yeah, I feel the same way. I'm sleepy right now. When I was driving here this morning, that coffee was doing nothing. I'm like, come on, fam. But it's going to be like that until November 4th. Let me just say a couple of things. Did the NAACP dinner on Friday? Freedom Fund dinner, the auction. We did that. It went really, really well. Thank you to everybody that stopped over at the auction table and supported.
Uh, that aspect of the evening, it was appreciated. Uh, I missed the entire program. I never changed clothes to even go inside. Uh, Lekisha little rider died. She brought me food out to the table and I never even got to eat it. Uh, because it was so, it was just a lot of traffic. It was busy. Carly's guy, it was good to see her down from Chicago.
Lively said interactive everybody enjoyed her. So that was real, real cool. And just not to see a lot of good people. And it was so funny because people wanted to take pictures. I was like, I know y'all see I'm not dressed to take any pictures. But it was it was cool. Judge Lena Taylor was helping us with the art. Hey, if you ever got to go somewhere and do some work, take judge Taylor.
Man, she had folks coming over to be it. Hey, come on. Come on. We need that money. Come be it. Come come be it on this stuff. It was so funny. It was, you know, true to the game. She put all her bids in first. She did end up winning the ATV. We had a ATV for a girl.
battery operated, you could plug in your USB and the baby girl could play her own little Coco Melon music or whatever she liked while she's driving. So she actually ended up getting that for her niece for Christmas. I want to say thank you to my man, Jay Harris, who actually put the kids toys together for us because one of the things somebody pointed out to me, I go to auctions and y'all never have anything for kids at auctions. And so with it being close to the holiday, if you got to spend your bread,
Let me help you out with your early Christmas shopping. So that went well. I also want to make an announcement to, to folks. I decided to throw my hat in the ring for NAACP president. And I am running against the current president. But I have just decided that it's a lot going on between now and 2028.
I want to figure out a way to play a more substantial role in doing so. There will be an election on November 21st. If you attended the Freedom Front dinner, you will be eligible to vote in this upcoming election. If you are already a member, you will be eligible to vote in this election. I'll keep you posted.
And I am not that way I'm happy to have you know the current president come on my show and talk about you know the work that's been done under his leadership and I will tell you what my vision is You know for
for the organization as well. But yeah, I just, man, we got too much. We got too much to do. So yes. And so I just want to say thank you to everybody that, you know, I have talked to about running and folks that have encouraged me to do so. And I appreciate you. You want to say something? Yeah, you know.
Can I be on the ticket with you? Can I be your vice president? Well, I'm going to say no. No, no. You actually had to submit your name. You actually had to submit your name. And you know, and that in in there in lies, you know, some of the challenges and issues. We have twenty five standing committees for the NAACP. But we don't even I don't think we even have 10 of those committees field.
There are executive leadership positions that are not filled. And it is consistent. Getting people to be engaged, to want to participate. How do you motivate people to show up and do the work? Those are the things that I'm concerned about getting young people into the pipeline. I'm not young. We need young people coming through the pipeline to hold these historic organizations up.
you know, to make sure that they continue to last. And so I am extremely, extremely, you know, I'm excited to try it. We'll see what happens. But again, you can become a member of the NAACP and but you have to be a member by.
the 21st of this month in order to be, because you have to be a member for 30 days to be able to vote in the election. So if you went to the Freedom Fund dinner, you will be able to vote on the election on the 21st. And if you are not a member, the NAACP office is open tomorrow. And on the 21st, you can go in, pay your membership fees. And I think the membership is like $40. I got to look and see.
if you want to be able to vote. And if you know people that go to the Freedom Fund dinner, if they went last year, if they went this year, encourage them to pay attention to be engaged. So I'm just saying, let's do it. Let's do it. Let the games begin. Thank you. Thank you because I'm not playing. We got too much to do and we need as many people as possible at the table.
Yes, sir. Quick question. Yeah. Somebody on YouTube asked the question. Did anybody that was supposed to be there show up with your tickets? Because they had your tickets. Oh, true. True. Like, wait a minute. You know what? That's a good question. You just came to the room. Like, that's that though. You know what? They would have been at the NOV table. And so.
Dug them. I think they would have had to, you know, some people show them. But maybe they might have no sense not to show up and sit at that table. Hey, Clark. They might have said some girls. It's a chicken dinner. So yes. So I'm just telling people that that was funny. I hadn't even thought about my replacement.
I mean, my tickets, and you know, thankfully, Dr. Pinchford Nicholas and they got me some replacement tickets. I was cracking up. I had forgot all about it. Because like I said, I never even went inside anyway. I see what Debo said. What Debo said? Where he at? On the chat. He on the chat? Yeah. What he said? I don't see it. You don't see it right there? No. OK. He said, how much to join the NAACP?
I think it's $40. Man, that ain't doing it. J.P.I.E. All right. So that is that a couple of other things real quick. I want to make people aware. Okay. So regular adult annual memberships, it looks like it's $30.
youth and that's considering 121 I'm sorry 20 and under $10 per year and women in NAACP that's an additional group that they have but yeah I think like one of the things that I want to do at some point is just go ahead and become like a goal life member and then so you pay $150 for 10 years and then you done.
Because we have financially got to support these organizations. One of the things that I have been on the bandwagon, harping about for at least three years is that as Donald Trump has kept up pressure on these companies and corporations, different organizations to stop doing anything connected to diversity, equity, and inclusion, many of our
Agencies and organizations that serve the black community would begin to see funding dry up and so I am hearing that from one group after another Sponsors that came in at one number traditionally have supported at this level are now supporting at significantly reduced levels. Some people are not supporting at all Or you know as opposed to being a sponsor, they'll just buy a table and
you will begin to see these resources drive up significantly. So we have got to get to a point where we have more funding streams, where we have a reliance on self. We always want allies and partners, but the winds have shifted.
and depending on how well people show up at these polls on November 3rd for these midterms and for the upcoming presidential and next year, like we got work to do real work, not pretend work, not hanging on to the back of other folks work, work that we initiate. We got real work that we have to do to, A, stop the bleeding, you know, because this isn't just about
preparing for the future, you're trying to stop the damage that's being done. I used to say that all the time when we were in the state legislature and you know, people would be talking about, well, what did they do? What did they do? And I said, y'all, sometimes it's about stopping these folks from hurting y'all and maintaining the status quo. Yeah, it's not what I got to do when introduced and be, you know, and be better. You know, it's like I'm trying to stop
them taking away what you already have. And you don't even understand that fight. So when you say nothing changed, you have no idea. It could have got way worse. And it was people that was up there fighting and standing in the gap so that that didn't happen. But I need people to be able to articulate that and explain that to people. One of the things that I will quickly say is that the superintendent of Milwaukee Public Schools, Dr. Brenda Cassilius, was at the NAACP meeting. Now everybody knows
I wasn't a fan of that process. I wasn't a fan of the way Dr. Cassilius came in. I wasn't a fan of none of it. But that does not negate the fact that you still gotta be willing to sit down and listen when people are coming to talk. One of the things that she said, which resonated with me because people are like, you're all picking on the north side. You're all attacking the north side. She said,
There are 34 schools on the north side of Milwaukee. All of those schools for the most part are old. They don't have AC, they don't have a number of the facilities, the lunchrooms are all outdated. Some of these schools, 70, 80, 90, 100 years old. And so she said most districts today only need 15 schools in the district.
What they would like to do is tear down those schools and build new schools. And when you listen to it that way, and so when you, when you first hear like, no, y'all coming for the North side. But then when she say, look, we need to come for these schools because they're not in good condition. They ragged me. Because, because a lot of these schools, you got a lot of kids that's handicapped.
And a lot of these school got three levels. And you can't even right. Elevated. So you can't keep using the service elevator, which right. So, yeah, they need to. I mean, yeah, when I when I listened to her, there were because I wanted the questions that I posed to her during the meeting. I said, hey, look, we had been here. Word on the street was that NPS was going to come back to taxpayers again with another referendum question because that first time.
That first part of money y'all got, it was not enough to address and deal with all the things y'all got going on, is that true? And she was very poignant. She said, we're going to have to ask for some more money because we're not going to ask for operational money, but we got to ask for money to do these other things. And, you know, building these new schools is one of those things.
If you talk to people and explain that to people, most people will understand and get on board. Because when you make the case, we are overly saturated in this one district. And the condition, that's like saying, somebody bragging and saying, I got 34 cars, but all are raggedy. You know, half of them don't start.
The other was they burned up so much gas, you know, you put $60 in there, you got gas for a day and a half. Like, who's driving it? So I appreciated that conversation. So I'm going to do what I can to see if I can get Dr. Cassilius on the show, because I think that this is a conversation that y'all need to hear directly from her. And it made a lot of sense when she was talking about it. So we will, we will see, we will see.
Somebody said, will this be another vote then bait and switch rebuild? You know, it's about what we do, um, in terms of holding people accountable. The work group that they have going on right now, uh, that's talking about the future direction of NPS. I think it's the great, the great, what is the committee called? A great something committee. Uh,
They you know they got everyday people coming in there and you can be a part of it to help talk about the direction of the the district and and you know what we need to be paying attention to but yeah just to hear people doing a whole bunch of hell raising about um
Um, you know, you attacking this, you're attacking this and we don't fully understand the entire conversation. Yeah, we got to do better. All right, so I'm up against my first break. I think we got a caller. I'm gonna get them right after the break. If you can hold with me, please needed to get all of that out and a number of announcements. Gobernatorial watch party debate.
I mean, uh, debate watch party is happening on Wednesday. A number of us are coming together. We want y'all to join us and watch, you know, this debate, talk about it, make, you know, uh, make ourself a part of this process. And tonight there is a phone call that I'll be explaining that we'll be talking about, uh, the referendums, a zoom meeting, uh, talking about the referendums. So let me go to break Michelle bond, WNLV 868 here, 106.5 FM. I'll be right back.
All right, family, welcome back to the show. I had a caller before I went to break. Let me take a moment and get them in. Hey, caller, what's happening? Hey, how are you this morning? Hey, Angela, how you doing this morning? I'm not so good, but that's another time, another story. But anyway, let me discuss the last time I talked to you about the extra
Um, do you all? Oh, yes. Angela, with the NAACP stuff, I just been growing. So I'll get up with you this week. Okay. And also, I want that address to the NAACP. It's you in the address. Uh, I'll look it up and I'll give it to you. Um, just listen and I'll say it online. I mean, I'll say it out loud. Okay. Okay. All right. All right.
Hi Clark Kent. How you doing? Who you with? Good morning, Jermaine. Right out. And tell D-Board say good morning. Okay, thank you. All right, y'all have a good one. All right, thanks, Angela. Was I telling the caller? Okay, so we're good. All right, and I'm sorry. It's so funny because, and what Angela was calling me about, or she had called me about
You know, my when my computer got lost and it's so funny I was getting ready try to log in to Facebook and realize that this computer is so new. I got to set all this stuff back up on my phone. I'm like, why is my Facebook not coming back up? Oh, because it's new and I don't even remember my password. So all right, so let me switch gears for a second this morning. But when I get a chance, I will be posting information about the zoom call tonight.
that a number of partner organizations have come together to do to make sure that we are educating people on the referendums. I want to just mention that I was over at Grace Fellowship Church this weekend and gave information to one of my sorority sisters to make sure that it got shared with members over there. Dr. Myers was over at community this weekend as well as her own home.
uh church lamb of god and uh there were folks that were you know just right up until you know the last minute like so glad you guys came through didn't know this got my ballot getting ready to send it back in didn't really understand the questions the way they're worded you know wasn't really sure what to do with it in theory they sounded good but people were skeptical so
you cannot do enough to educate people about those three referendum questions. So at this time, let me pivot because we have the opportunity to make up a show that we would have typically done last week. But our illustrious co-host on that particular segment, attorney Mark Thompson was out and wasn't able to be with us. So we are doing a makeup. We got him here this morning. Hey, Mark, how you doing this morning?
I'm doing well. So I missed last week and so kind of you to squeeze me in here. It's never too much work to get in scales of justice. We got to talk about the issues, know what's going on, how our community is impacted. So how are you feeling? Are you good today? You know, I was driving in and I'm thinking about November 3rd and what does Election Day mean for
lawyers in my business, right? Because you know when you elect the new leadership you elect the people that have the power to get rid of terrible laws and make new laws and it took me flashback to basically when
President Obama first got elected 2008 with Governor Doyle and Legislature at that time actually passed very good consumer legislation that impacted all consumers who buy auto insurance. It was called Truth in Auto.
And I thought it was, you know, truth and auto because the scams that the insurance industry had sold before, right? And particularly one that really strikes out that people buy underinsured motorist coverage, thinking they're going to protect themselves up and over someone else who hits you. Right. I mean, you know, the way this works is because they're like, was it
Consider coming almost like gap insurance. No, it's not get but you know, I'm You know when when you're driving You know like coming down capital right today right coming in here and If you have a reckless driver Run a red light and hit you but they only have 25,000 of coverage then you buy insurance called underinsured motorist coverage to protect you and your family your loved ones
in case there's someone out there that's driving underinsured. Well, when you would pay a premium to get that under insurance, say you bought $100,000 of coverage, right? But they reduced it by whatever coverage the person had. So you would buy $100,000, you could never get $100,000. You would always be getting $100,000 less something.
And Truth and Auto got passed to get rid of that. Now, when Walker and company came in and, you know, started to take Wisconsin back down a very, very dark road that we're just trying to figure out how to dig out of with gerrymandered, you know, new maps and everything, they got rid of all that. And so coming down here, I was thinking,
November 3rd creates opportunities for consumers to reinstate the rights and It sort of hit it merged though with I'd been watching, you know, I was out of town. So I missed the Friday night dinner then double ACP But I'm sure folks were talking about all these young folks marching at right Bennett College UNC Greensboro, North Carolina
You know, when here you have communities shutting down poll areas, right? Shutting down students right to vote on campus. And all these young people marching, walking, not marching, walking to go vote.
It really hit me. It was like, hey. And for folks to understand that a lot of these college sites, so North Carolina, A&T, Bennett, UNC Greensboro, they had early polling sites on campus or right near campus. When the Election Commission for the area decides where, you know, locations are going to go, they go in and remove those locations, close those locations, making it more difficult for students to have to vote.
Yeah, they're trying to suppress the student vote, right? Some of the kids that don't have transportation. And it reminded me of my son when he went to Alabama State his freshman year and he wanted to take his car. And I was like, no, sir. No car the first year. And he was like, mom. And I was like, no, because most data says you're most likely to have a really bad accident that first year college. So no.
I said, take the bus, because I'm thinking about our transit system. You can get on a bus pretty much in Milwaukee and get to most places relatively quickly. I remember my son called back, people that listened to the show, they've heard me tell this before. He was like, ma, the only bus in Montgomery is the one Rosa Parks wouldn't get off of. You know, and it's parked on the campus as like a museum. And so it never dawned on me transportation wise.
And the South is so spread out that it would be difficult. But so they said for kids that had to walk, this was a 45 to 50 minute walk to get to the next available voting location. Why would you create that? Particularly when we had had them previously. So about suppressing the vote. Absolutely. So it hit me, you know, early voting, right? Milwaukee starts tomorrow.
Am I right October 20th? Yes, we start tomorrow October 20th through November 1st. I think it's only through the 30th. I don't think I don't think we got let me oh, you know what I got to see right here But you know to me I'm thinking we have So much going on and I thought it would be good just for us to talk about what's it gonna take
to have the will of all those young people that walk 45 minutes to do the early voting, right? I mean, that to me was a sign of the times that the people and particularly young people are fed up with, frankly, my generation and its ultimate
despicable president elected trump um you know and then i you know i i saw that in texas early voting was beginning today they got 19 million registered voters up three percent so there is something happening
Georgia, Georgia had their first day of early voting. They have 53,000 more people vote on the first day of early registration than they had had in previous years. So even I was listening to former Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms on a call last night and she was talking about something is going on, something's in the air, even down in Georgia. So something happened here. So is it happening in Milwaukee? Is it happening in Wisconsin, right?
As you know, I got in with David Crowley early, long, long time ago. We need this man in the governor's mansion. And to me, we need that. I mean, lawyers, the consumers need David to pass and work with.
Hopefully a new assembly and a new Senate leadership to pass bills, right? That actually do something for people instead of taking things away. And so because we got to take a break, but I think that what you did by framing the initial, the opening remarks around the auto legislation is the idea of people understanding how much influence, how much difference it makes.
Who is sitting in that governor's seat everything? I mean like literally changes the dynamic of state government when you realize Who is sitting in a seat? So we'll talk about that on the other side because again listen to critical gubernatorial races around the country yesterday and States that had not been in play are now in play, but specifically here in Wisconsin Are we seeing that energy on the ground? I've raised concerns
after Mandela Barnes was on a podcast, you know, with a particular brand of sore loseritis, you know, and I'm just making sure that people are showing up in a way and not being distracted, not to mention all of the negative. I went to the mailbox and we don't always get our mail out the mail every day. So for two days, I hadn't gotten the mail out.
four negative pieces that were done by an outside group, one from Tiffany, but four negative pieces on David Crawley. And then I'm cracking up because they, even though they say that this content was generated by AI, this is not even David Crawley's picture on the front. Zoom in because it changes. No, that's not even David Crawley's picture.
If it wasn't so dangerous, it would be funny. This is not David Carly's picture. It's like far away. It might look like it, but when you look at him, it actually looked like, uh, what's the name Ashley that work in David Carly's office, but this isn't even DC. This definitely damn ain't DC. Not at all. Look at this. Don't this look crazy? So, you know,
So we got to talk about it because yeah, we do have to talk about the influence of money But what these people the positions that it's not just money. Let's be clear We have two families Billionaires Funding 24 million of the 26 million raised for the Republican Party the mega party. I mean this is not Normal this is not business
in the way we thought it was 10 years ago. And so I know you said it's about morning. Let's go to the break. We'll be right back. Yeah, family. Welcome back to the show. So I am joined this morning by none other than attorney Mark Thompson, our segment scales of justice. And what law firm are you with, sir? Yes, Jim grass, Thompson and walks LLP. You know what? I have offices in Eau Claire Madison and my home base since
And I've been I moved to Milwaukee in 1984 moved up from the steel mills of Indiana and started a new life and Folks that looking for justice You can reach me 414-837-4167 That's Jim grass Thompson and walks LLP GTW lawyers on the
Web folks, phone number 414-837-4167. You know, if a drunk driver's got you, just somebody crashed into you, got injured, you know, essentially by someone else's fault. If your civil rights were violated, you know, we've handled a lot of excessive force cases against law enforcement around the state.
And I represent a lot of folks that have run into negligent doctors. And lawyers that make mistakes, we sue them too. So we try to be true to our calling and do everything we can to make you whole.
Part of that though means we have to have laws and a legal infrastructure that allows us to keep moving forward and That sort of brought us to the discussion. I'm having here with this You know famous woman And now candidate for the anyway with Michelle Michelle, you know we're talking about
What can we do to get folks out for early voting? I mean, Milwaukee has to have a huge, huge turnout. If we're going to get David Crowley across his finish line, Milwaukee has to vote bigger than it is ever.
voted before because for folks that are worried about whether or not ice will be near polling locations or there will be some shenanigans in relationship to ballot.
about tampering all this, you know, one of the things I've been hearing from state to state to state is that you have to show up in numbers so huge that you can't in any way contest what happened when we talked about down in Georgia and Donald Trump was telling the Secretary of State, find me 11,000 votes. That was no easy feat to be able to do. So you don't want close margins. You want it to be a wide gap in terms of voter turnout. You know, the.
You know, I've had the privilege to serve on the in addition to just my day-to-day job serve on the Wisconsin Election Commission for a decade now. So You know, I I Certified Trump's first election in 2016, right? And you know people had said was it fair of course it was fair, right? We have one thousand eight hundred and what?
50 some municipal clerks that changes every day or pretty much around the state That run our elections right our neighbors run our elections in Milwaukee, you know, there's Has its own commission right? But folks This these clerks we have counted for the decade I've been serving
folks in their communities have counted virtually accurately, right? I mean, we did a recount originally in 2016 for Trump and it was to the T, right? I mean, we found some mistakes, but people hadn't counted some votes just accidentally way up north, but tiny, tiny, you know.
Virtually none. Right. All of us talk about, you know, felons or, you know, dead people voting. None of this is true, folks. Even Scott Walker, when Trump was talking about contesting the election results in Wisconsin, Scott Walker even basically had come out and said like, hey, your money is probably better spent somewhere else. We don't have those kinds of issues.
But he ended up being smacked that back down by his party because they wanted him to go along with the lie that's being told. But even I never forgot that that even Walker had to basically say, like, come on, I don't like, I mean, there's, you know, like, I don't even want to mention what I don't want to go. That's a waste of time. This one is folks. Our problem, we're going to be able to count the votes accurately.
You know, I'm trusting our attorney general and local law enforcement around to make sure that there is no intimidation at the polls. You know, I mean, the law, there's, it's federal law, a violation of federal law for certain federal agents to interrupt. So all this noise and rumor, put it aside.
The key issue though we have to show up show up like never before For David and you know My mother is 95. She can't walk. She's in a home. I Went in to see her the other day, you know, they do the early voting for folks in homes Mark I voted for David. Okay, so
If my mother who can't walk, right, has the will to vote, every able-bodied person, and if you're not able-bodied, we have early voting, starting tomorrow, these numbers have to be huge. The whole state is, you know, looking. We know that David has to have, what, close to 40% of all of them votes.
Up north right in typical red territory Now my sister lives up in Bayfield and I was up there. I'm that's blue All right all over from Bayfield It was nothing but David Crowley signs. Yeah, we saw quite a bit when we Have kind of traveled to the northern part of the state and I've had people you know ask and other people that are Moving around they're calling me and letting me know we're seeing it and then even when you talk today with himself
When you listen to the ground that's been covered, he's been out doing the work. He's definitely been visiting these areas. I know that Governor Westmore was in town this weekend. They did a lot of visits at that point, but it is going to take people getting up. There's this thing that Bakari Sellers always says that the group that's been winning a lot of these elections are the couch surfers.
because they're larger in numbers than the people that are actually showing up to vote every day. We got to get folks off the couch, off their butt, and into these polling sites. Everybody's got to take a lesson from these young kids, you know, at Bennett College. Folks that are willing to walk 45 minutes to vote should send for wind in our sails.
My real concern is, David doesn't have an Elon Musk dropping money for him, right? And hopefully, he never will, right? We don't ever want to get there. This idea that billionaires can control our elections or control us. I mean, we got to get rid of this notion.
I mean, you know, it was no Kings this week. I mean, look at folks. We have to actually believe there are no Kings. And that means we have to believe. That's the reason why this country was founded. But we, it took people to stand up. You know, the founding the country, they took up guns to get rid of the Kings, right? Fortunately, all we have to do is go vote to get rid of this King.
You know, that's if he gets out. But right now, right? Right now, 2026, he gets out. Well, I said, that's the question. 2028. No, no, no, no. But that's why we have to win in 2026. They've been trying to figure out how he can do it third time. Like literally. But that's why 2026. Another reason why this is so crucial. We change the makeup of the Senate. You know, even when we talk about Alito saying I may come out.
People were wondering if that was real or if they were saying that to encourage the base to show up and vote so that they could possibly make sure that Trump gets another appointment versus Alito coming out after Trump's term is over. I think we have to get over being overly concerned on their strategy and focus on ours right now.
We have only one thing to do in Wisconsin if you believe in democracy and you believe in consumer rights and you believe that Your children and grandchildren should have a stake in Wisconsin and not just let the billionaires run it This is a this is you know people have been saying this for how long I'm just gonna push back and say I think we have to be able to do both because half of our problem particularly people that identify as Democrats is
We don't, we are not paying attention to what the strategy or the other things are that are being done. I mean, when Mitch McConnell is able to steal two seats away from democratic leadership in terms of the Barack Obama appointment, Biden, you know, this is stuff that we don't even have on our radar. No, no, no, I don't disagree at all.
So I'm just saying in two weeks. Yeah. No. We got we got we got a short. Yes. No. Between now and November 3rd. OK. OK. Yeah. We got a short assignment. Go vote. Go vote. Go vote and vote no on these are these referendums. You know the I all three you just have to vote no but the the the evilness and the question number three. Yes.
Okay. Yes. Folks, if you read it, this is what it says. Governmental entity discrimination prohibited. Now, okay, that sounds nice, right?
Shall section 27 Article 1 of the Constitution be created to prohibit governmental entities in the state from discriminating against or granting preferential treatment to any individual or group based on race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin and public employment, public education, public contracting, or public administration? Superficially, that sounds like, yeah.
The problem is is all the laws right now To protect Civil rights protect against discrimination Do that because races a protected class These evil folks are gonna try to use this amendment to say you can't do that That's
That's the evil about this and so scary is because of the way it's worded. I got people that are going to vote against their own interest right here. It will wipe out our ability to have just public education. It will wipe out our ability and public employment. They want to wipe out a person's right to file a discrimination claim.
Because they're gonna say it's unconstitutional under the state now The the implications of this are just outrageous and it's lawyers groups that are actually focusing on this particular Amendment question. I mean right now. I'm looking at the I know the ACL you are right. We're looking at it the but
Because otherwise I don't know the impact on the ability to follow discrimination, you know claim or just I just wonder Legally down the road how this even changes the lay of the land Even in terms of the legal profession and what's available to us. Well, this is this is state constitution, right? but You know that the next step they're going to take is they're going to try to use this new amendment to attack every piece of legislation state created
that talks about Remitting discrimination in the workplace and you know They these billionaires are masters at having us eat each other and divide us and We have to like these young people in Bennett College get up off as you say off the couch and vote
We gotta vote huge for David Crowley. You gotta vote no one else, all of these three. I'm using this show, right? My firm and the people we represent, the people we represent every day can be devastated. If David Crowley doesn't win, if Tom Tiffany wins,
He's going to wipe out all the other rights that the people I represent. So let's do this because we have hit our time for the show for folks that need representation concern. There is something as well as Thompson and walks GTW lawyers 4148374167. And thank you so much, Michelle for having me. It's always a pleasure and honor. And folks.
Vote vote vote man vote David get up get up Look all right, so I'm gonna take a quick break and hopefully you hear the passion Because that's what it's gonna take to get this dude across the finish line. We'll be right back y'all All right family, so I'm gonna try to work in a whole bunch in this hour that I have Or not not even quite an hour left. I want to pick up for just a second and thank them attorney Mark Thompson
for coming in. Mark is right. He spent this time with us talking about the significance and importance of this race, of these referendum questions, how it changes our state constitution, how it changes your legal access to certain rights and privileges. When he said, I was using the example of all of the mailers that I had gotten
in relationship to the quality Tiffany race. And I went back and pulled up the information on who was sending this material out. So one, one mailer came from Tom Tiffany's campaign. Okay. Um, that was one. This again, this is in two days. What was in the mailbox? Another mailer came from the Republican party of Wisconsin. Okay, cool.
I expect you to do that. Democrats supposed to do the same thing. These three mailers, again, many of which have people on it that are not David Carly, all came from one organization called First Amendment LLC. So when you pull up First Amendment LLC, you realize that it is a very wealthy tech billionaire who
is primarily responsible for funneling all of this money into this political action committee, uh, using their money all over the country to, you know, impact, uh, races. So Politico, uh, Wisconsin, I'm sorry, not political, Wisconsin politics, West politics did a story in which they talked about the fact that.
a group that registered with the state just last week. And this article was written on September 22nd. So about a month ago, this group registers with the state as a lobbyist or a political action committee, I should say. And they reported nearly $13 million that they were going to spend in Wisconsin. $9.3 million was specifically to go after David Carly.
nine point three. So, they brought thirteen million and this was a month ago. So, I don't know what that spending looks like now. This was a month ago. They were going to buy um adds to play into fifteen legislative races to determine who gets control of the assembly and the senate. This group um which is um out of Virginia.
And in Virginia, the name of the company is Make Liberty Windpack. So we got a Virginia group. These mailers that's coming to your house are coming to you from a group out of Virginia. Okay? The Young Americans for Liberty. I believe that was a group that's got Walker's son. One of his sons was connected to as well, if I remember that correctly. And they are going after this race in a huge way.
Last week and the man who was the primary person, his name is Scott Bannister, a libertarian. He was an early investor in PayPal, Uber, SpaceX. He committed $40 million to make Liberty win with plans to spend that money in these state level races. So I just want to be clear. I just met.
at the NAACP Freedom Fund dinner, a young Democrat named Trevor Jung, who is running in an open seat down in Racine for the Senate. They spent $572,000 going after him. $534,000 going after Robin Vining over in Wauwatosa. Let me see who else is close to us, but they got the dollar amount of everybody that they're spending money against to try to stop.
but of the 13 million that was reported back in September, 9.3 million leveled at David Crawley. How do you compete against that? Because I didn't get a single mailer from David Crawley's campaign. So I got five pieces, five pieces attacking his brother in two days. You can't compete with that kind of money.
Elon Musk is is said to be carrying the Texas race on his own $276 million. How do you how do you fight against this kind of money? So what they did when they changed the law to give corporations and packs this kind of
ability to play in these races. The only thing we do have is people power. The only thing you do have is folks talking to their people about getting off the behind and showing up to vote. I was on a national call last night with when with black women and there were. I mean, there was there were a number of like heavy hitters on the call.
heard from Kesha Lance Bottoms, we heard from another number of people playing on the state, I mean, on the state level in the state races and what they're doing. But then there was this incredible moment when four presidents of the D9, the sororities, Delta Sigma Theta, Alpha, Sigma Gamma Ro, Zeta Phi Beta, all of their national presidents were on the call at the same time.
But somebody said something in the course of that meeting and a lot of stuff got said that stuck with me and I had to go back and look for it because it was it was a quote that they were they were paraphrasing Something from the Bible The phrase comes from Deuteronomy 611 where Moses reminds the Israelites that they will inherit quote wells that you did not dig Said some other stuff
vineyards and olive trees that you did not plant as they enter the promised land. So, when she paraphrased it, you know, it's like, y'all, we need to help people and make sure people understand. You're drinking from wells you did not dig.
So, when you're walking around here thinking you don't have to vote, you don't owe nobody nothing, nobody's done anything for you, you have been the beneficiary of foundational work that was done. And people who understood, as I've said repeatedly, they weren't going to be the necessary immediate beneficiaries of it. When the 22 founding members of Delta Sigma Theta
Back in 1913, marched in the women's suffrage march. They understood black women go wasn't going to benefit that day. I don't think anybody foretold that it would be 1965 before we fully had the right to vote unencumbered as black women in this country. But in 1913, when they showed up and they marched to put their life on the line.
because how dare you as black women think you getting ready to protest about voting rights. They understood I'm not benefiting today, but I'm planting seeds so that the women that follow me will be able to have an opportunity that was denied to us. But thank God many of them live to see that actual day happen. So.
Never forget that. You are going to inherit wells that you did not dig. You're drinking from from wells that you didn't create. You are benefiting. You know, when you sit down at your parents table and in your folks house and you got the internet on, you got food in the kitchen, it's going to be heat. You're benefiting.
from things that you did not make possible. So you don't think your room should be clean. You don't think you need to be respectful. You don't think you need to answer when people call in you. And my mother never said it that way, but it was always understood. I'm doing my part. You're going to do yours. I got to take a break. I'll be right back.
All right, family, welcome back to the show. So let me try to get a number of things in. And I have not said good morning. Let's say good morning, folks that have checked in on Facebook, YouTube. I see a lot of the comments coming through. Also, you know, good morning to everybody else that checked in on regular radio. It's a lot to cover, y'all. And over the course of the next several days, we are going to try and get as much done as we can.
But a couple of things I want to just say and mention. First of all, let me take a minute to acknowledge that one of the folks that I actually like a lot over at Channel 12, the meteorologist, Mark Baden, he had a heart attack. And Mark said he paid attention to his body. He said, I'm only 56 years old. I stay in pretty good shape.
He said, but he felt off and that he ended up getting, you know, to the emergency room, to his doctor, and he had a 90% blockage in the largest artery. And so they got him taken care of. He is home. He actually went for a two mile walk. He posted. The doctor said it was OK. And, you know, when you see Mark, Mark looks like he physically is in really good shape.
But he had a heart attack. He said Thursday morning. He woke up with tightness in his chest. I started becoming a bit concerned. I started looking up signs of a heart attack on the Internet. I decided to just try to relax. All morning thinking that. And I'm waiting because I was pulling up his actual post, so he didn't he didn't do anything right away. Men, men, you know, he was like.
You felt if you get so concerned that you start looking up on the Internet, the signs and symptoms of a heart attack, that means you should be heading to the doctor. Because it's better to be safe than sorry. I'd rather get to the emergency room and they tell me. But see, this is the other part of it, depending on what your insurance situation is like. But I'm sorry, there is no bill worth my life.
And some people will be like, Michelle, the bills is so real that it's going to ruin my life. Yep. But I got a fighting chance. You can't do nothing if you go. So, you know, and since I've left the state, I've had to pay for my own insurance. So I understand the challenges I do. But there are times when, you know, like self-medicate, I'll be all right.
that if you have to start looking online for the signs of a heart attack and then to say, you know, I'm gonna sit back and relax and kind of see, you know, what happened. Take your behind to the emergency room because I want you to pay attention to what they do. If you come in that emergency room and tell them people you believe you present with the signs of a heart attack, it changes the whole way they respond to you because they understand now we're talking about minutes.
Yes, it's critical to make sure that you get the care that you need. And he was sitting there and had a 90% blockage. And you know what's so crazy is how long.
Did he have this 90% blockage going on? That part, you know, so just to be able to figure out like what you have to do. So I wanted to make sure that I took a minute to acknowledge him. Anybody that's gone to the Urban League, Black and White Ball, you know, a couple of years, Mark Baden has been like co-hosting and he's just a good dude, real decent, real decent guy.
And I was really taking it back when I heard that about him. So I wanted to make sure I brought up his name and then just something real crazy, though, you know, because I don't want to say when it's your time, it's your time. But Jermaine pointed out this story about this Catholic priest who was live streaming a service mass service. They were live streaming it live streaming it.
from their church in Ecuador. Father Patricio Sanchez Molinari of Our Lady of Perpetual Health Church in Southern, now this one I'm going to mess up, Gallico was reflecting on the words of Jesus when he told his congregation that they should not waste their lives scrolling on their phones and instead dedicate them to God and their loved ones.
This is what he said, quote, one day all of us here will also die. And sometimes the time we spend on things doesn't have as much meaning as the time we spend with God. The quality time we give God to our brothers and sisters, our husbands, wives, children and family, that time is the best spent shortly after this man.
was saying that. There was a huge, oversized crucifixion Jesus on the cross, wooden structure that had hung in this church. I mean, it was like literal life size, huge cross, life size image of Jesus, and it fell off the wall.
and hit the priest as he stood in the pulpit at the mic directly 100% square on the top of his head. And he went down. It looks like that man might have been killed instantly. The video is horrible. You can see the video. It is the most, oh my God. I mean, everybody saw it.
Everybody saw it and so he was he he was the clear dead, you know But he literally had just got done talking about That how easy it is, you know for life to be gone and Within minutes of making that statement in a freak accident this man is killed just like at the game the What was that the the military
Yeah, he was coming out from the Raptors. So I got that video too. Yeah. From the Raptors and slipped on the road and fell out. Matter of fact, matter of fact, something similar like this happened in wrestling would break the heart. Oh, and when he was on the top of the Raptors and he was coming down and he fell. Yeah.
I just can't imagine being in that audience. This guy was an Air Force commando. He fell 170 feet in the rafters in front of thousands of four or five fans at the University of Texas at San Antonio football game. The airman slipped while rappeling from the roof of the armadone before the game against the Navy and plunged to the ground.
The service member who was assigned to the six combat training squadron detachment to was mortally injured during the pregame pregame demonstration Which was the school salute to armed forces and veterans it was that game and he and it's so crazy because you
They have the video. Like Jermaine said, you can see this happening in real time. The incredibly horrified look on individuals' faces. They said he got medical treatment on the field for about 10 minutes before being rushed to the local hospital where he was pronounced dead at the hospital. The staff, they formed a semicircle around him before he got pulled away onto the stretcher. But you could have heard a pin drop in that stadium.
everybody dead silent. Um and then this is the thing like you go on and play the game. I don't even know how you go on it. How how you how you move forward with that? Yeah, just out of the So that was the thing I was trying to figure out like how do you how do you play the game? I just thought that that was a
You know, the game is a game to honor these people and somebody dies. And I'm sure the players, everybody gets wind of the fact that this man fell 170 feet. So even if the players weren't on the field, but you come out there and you everybody knew, how are you a fan? Do you sit in the audience?
and continue to cheer for 18 after you just witnessed somebody fall to their death. What the hell is wrong with us? I don't care what it would have cost to reschedule that game. You're not worried about the mental health of those players, coaches, staff, the fans,
And I can hear people, you know, oh, we, he would want us to go on. No, stop all of that if I die. Stop everything. I mean, I'm just saying like it is, it is madness to me that that game still got played. Yeah. After that man lost his life right there in the middle of the field, you playing ball and like, you know, somebody's life ended right there.
and you jumping around and cheering and over a game is disrespectful to me. I just, I just, I'm like, did you cancel the game? I would have. Did you cancel the game? That part. Money. And what is your justification for not canceling the game? Money. Oh my God.
Oh my God. They did not cancel the game. They said they decided to continue the game because the service member's death had not yet been confirmed at kickoff. And they wanted to avoid speculation or added distress for the family during the notification process. Stop acting like you was concerned about the man family. You know that nobody survived, survived no 170 foot fall to the ground.
Yeah, man, I feel like how Clark feels that they didn't want to lose out on that money at the particular time, even though that you could have rescheduled the game, but it's just sad. I'm telling y'all, people are barbaric and raggedy, and I don't care how you try to like dress it up or make it sound better, y'all barbaric and y'all raggedy.
How do you as a fan now drink your beer eat your hot dog and you know what you just saw? Everybody know see And they they desensitize us You know, that's why I like would you maybe like I got the video got to be there's a lot of videos. I try not to watch Because now it's just it's just you know, I won't say entertainment, but you just be like well damn, you know at some point
It just is disgusting. It is absolutely just disgusting. Let me go to the phone line. Hey, Carla, what's happening? Hey there. Good morning, Michelle. Good morning. Hey there. What's up, man? Right up. What's up, man? Mr. Clark. All right. Bebo Milwaukee at Tyrone W. Very quickly. As sad, you know, condolences to the families of, you know, Mr. Baton. I catch him every once in a while.
as well as the young man at the at the at the game you know what and we were here we were here just recently um with uh uh Lamar Hamlin Lamar Hamlin both low bills right so we we were we were we were we just seen this movie just not even it ain't even been five years so you know we've seen this movie before but you know uh you know like i told you before we'll have to talk about this off the air but you know um
College and you know, and it is similar, you know, they're gonna do their money They're gonna get the popcorn peanuts and hot dogs soul and booties in the seats and all that stuff there They're college students, you know, but yeah, I agree with you. I agree with you But we've seen this movie just with the Marham and Buffalo Bills and you know It's difficult. It's difficult to play the game as the players is difficult to watch the game I don't know. I don't know what you do to
as you reschedule it, or if you just say, well, you know, each team take a W, take a win or whatever. And but, you know, yeah, we just seen this movie with the Mark Hamlin Buffalo Bills, but yeah, it's difficult. It's difficult. So say hi to Atlas for me. We'll figure out something though. All right. Thank you. I appreciate it. I appreciate the call. So look, let me.
Just say to you know, I'm watching it. I'm trying to figure out how many people at home still watch the game Because it's not just folks in the stadium People at the house still watch the game And and and how do you sit back and just go on and and like literally have a mind said because this stuff and Correct singing just hit me up and he said, you know, then look at that scenario through the lens of Pete Hexeth trying to put
in place, the firing squad, you know, and nobody talks about the fact initially, but he accepted them knew when they were talking about executing the man who killed the 13 military members on the base that he was in a wheelchair. So I just want to be clear. So you get ready to have all these officers. I don't care how heinous the act was that this man committed.
You got officers that's getting ready to stand there and knowingly open fire and kill somebody sitting in a wheelchair? Like the optics of that alone, the wheelchair? And Trump initially, when he was asked about it, he said, oh, yeah, I agree with that. He didn't know the wheelchair part because he dove and uninformed. So, oh, I agree with that.
And then later, as you know, people hear about it and then all the pushback, like the man is in a wheelchair. Yeah, that's probably not a good look, huh? To be televised, to be streamed live, that you got all these people standing up shooting at somebody in a wheelchair. Now, they're still going to kill him that way. They're just not going to show it to everybody. He's still getting killed by firing squad in a wheelchair.
They just not gonna show it to everybody. But just think about, even though you're not sure which bullet is the one that actually killed him, how are you as a grown person, stand there and aim a gun and shoot at somebody sitting in a wheelchair? How do you do that? Because they feel like they've been patriotic and they're doing it for their country because he killed so many people.
on base and it was on American soil and all this other stuff. I saw Pete stand in front of the camera and say, we are going to do it on the same day that he did it at the same time. Yeah, it's all ignorant. It's all performative. It's all nonsense. But, you know, as I said, when I was making a comparison to lynchings and, you know, public murders of black folks in this country back in the day,
Like this this this who we are is what we do It's this what they do in other countries. We're ah, ah, ah Hmm, so if you tell history and you went lying and running What's the book? Hey Keith Paris the cross and the lynching tree If you stop lying and tell history accurately you would know this is not a far stretch from who?
who we are and who we can be. Speaking of and let me be clear who they are and who they can be because we didn't do that. Yes. Speaking of telling history the right way, I see that they are rewriting history books now talking about Emmett Till calling him a grown man in what they're teaching the kids now. And they said that the grown man whistled at this lady and they are rewriting this whole.
thing about what happened to Emmett Till is crazy to me. It is crazy to me how they are rewriting this in the new history. And this is this is this is why this this all becomes so important and so relevant because ever since the daughters of the Confederacy.
try to rewrite history about their fathers, their brothers, their husbands being traitorous, ridiculous people to this nation and try to institute all these monuments to them and we're going to retell the narrative and retell the story. See, this is that part where I get frustrated because we got to do our part. We can't let people keep telling our stories. And when we see that they lie in, we have to stand up. We have to push back.
But we don't. We talk about it amongst ourselves. We talk about it at the barbershop, but we don't organize nothing to go get this mess corrected. So when we say you see what they're doing, then the next question has to be, so what are we doing?
When we see him changing our history when we got Lonnie Bunch, you got to retire I believe in some part early because they sick of fighting with Donald Trump and the way they're trying to go in and rewrite the narrative in all of these museums What are we doing? Lonnie them carry the heavy water. They got everything done. What are we gonna do to protect it? We dig in from Wales. We did not dig
and we are not leaving anything for the kids that got come behind us. If I say I'll never forget nothing, I will never forget that. We are digging from wells. I'm sorry, we are drinking from wells. We did not dig. I've always known that in some context. And that's why when there are pastors who stand up and fake Jake, like they can't figure out how to connect politics today, sermons.
I get so frustrated because there are examples after examples after examples. Let me just say this real quickly. Dr. Myers was over at community. Dr. Myers knows that Pastor Williams is one of my favorite pastors. The very first time I ever heard him preach, he had me hooked because he made a straight line between politics and faith and religion in the church in the Bible.
He drew a straight line. You didn't have to tap dance. You didn't have to guess and use scripture to do it. It wasn't no plan. And so she visited yesterday and she had an opportunity to hear him speak yesterday. As soon as she saw me later yesterday, she said, I understand exactly why. That's your guy. I understand exactly why you like him.
I'm surprised you're not a member at community. We gotta stop playing. We understand what they doing. The question I'm asking, which is one of the reasons why I wanted to run for the presidency of the NAACP here and for the Milwaukee branch, what we doing? What are we doing? Do I have any other cars?
Let me get one call and then I'll get out your way. Hey, Carla, what's happening? Hey, how you doing, Michelle? I'm good. How are you today? Hey, um, this will let you know that, uh, your partner on this show there, Jermaine. Yes. He inspired me to think in this morning. I was just talking about how they're trying to rewrite stuff. Okay.
I thought about how they're doing that door in this political arena. So, for example, these billionaires that gave Tiffany that all that money, right? They gave him 24 million. Yes. They're using our taxpayer money. That's our money that they got in tax breaks. So if they got tax breaks, they're taking our tax money and using it to defeat us. Absolutely.
Absolutely. People better wake up. We need to send them a message. No homies. Y'all ain't coming at us like that. You don't take our own money to defeat us and then to rule us. Yeah. Just like even using the services, PayPal, Uber, when they start talking about all of that, it's like, wait a minute, you realize how these people make money off of us, whether it's through tax breaks or services they provide and then turn around and take the profit from that money to harm us. You are so right.
I mean, yeah. And so we better wake up and we need to send them a clear message. No, you're not going to take our tax money that you get in tax breaks and then rule us through these puppets that you got. You puppeteers. That's what they are. And they sit back and laugh at us. You know, and Tom Tiffany does, too. All he wants is the governor's shift. He wants the title. He ain't going to do nothing with it, but what they say. Yeah, he going to understand his marching orders.
He gonna absolutely understand his marching orders. You are so right. Hands off to Jermaine. Oh my god, did you? So Keith Bares is in the studio. The look that Keith just. Hey, I just saw that. He just had to look at what I'm discussing. He just, he just cut his eyes. So sharp. He cut his eyes so sharp. Make me like this.
He's so dirty. He's so dirty.
Okay. Stand this dude, man. Uh-uh. Uh-uh. And then, right after that, what'd I say? He was clueless. He was clueless that he had said anything profound. He was like, what'd I say? No, because you're so profound all the time. I can't hear you, man. Which one of the nuggets did I drop? I keep my profoundness up. Do it again, Jermaine. I keep my profoundness up. You know, I drop nuggets everywhere I go. He looked all surprised.
Hey, let me do this while I'm over here. I am lonely, Michelle, this book. I want you all to witness. Date and time. Put it on record. Date and time. And then when I beat like six months from now, making a reference to the cost of the literature. I want to do, I had that book. Michelle go, I do. I was just looking at it.
if you don't know you know now books is one of my love languages so you know I if I give you a book
So I would not be doing allegiance to all the geeks and nerds in the world if I had not read the book
I'm not comfortable as interesting. You told, you shared that story about the priest who was killed by the crucifix. And I'm like, this is, this is a personal theology piece for me. I worry about the symbolism of the white cross. And I worry that, look, this whole, the cross became the symbol of the church on the Constantine.
Not under Jesus. You're not under Paul, right? There was a 300 year gap and because the early symbol of the church was the fish. Right. That's the early symbols. And then we have this and so it was something Keon said. He said, you know what? We don't walk around with trees around our neck.
So you don't see me necessarily with a crucifix I understand the significant heat and he alludes to the significance of the crucifixion But I just worry sometimes about the idolatry and when Jimmy Swagger picked it up I really get worried so you know what I'm gonna have to have you explain some of that and I look forward to the conversation after I read the book because Understanding that whole Constantine piece and a 300 year gap. Yeah, didn't understand under that. So I got to get out of here
