We done is
two to three months to heal on the first part. And then on the next part, it's like two to three months. So my dentist has to make a partial so that I got something in that space while my this healing, because if I got to get my, you know, bone and all of that time, he'll always put that time in your head. And I'm just, I'm just, I'm not sure if you have any money, just think about, but you sleep.
and you'd be like, man, watch your own. But you don't hide. Yeah. She said, let me just tell you, she said, it's before the first, you know, they get that money for the first part of surgery. And they will, um, she said, over a year, second half up, they can get the other part done.
Like you just feel so sorry for people. You should not be struggling like this and No, there are people that have died because of some stuff. Yeah, that's what's going on with the infection setting and it's different stuff happening. So here I'm walking. He's white. Yeah. Yeah. You know, it's a dental stuff. And so I just, and I was just looking at this house. I was like, this is the list. And you talk about seeing this to try to push people off. I mean,

Because you
Because if not, it doesn't matter. It matters.
No, no, no.
I just want you to see the difference between what to go to the doctor over here in China. I'm not even a full-time resident. What to go to the doctor over here? Well, if I had to go for the same emergency room in the same situation, you can care of in this case.
Yeah, this is
You know, I was sitting here thinking make some of my plugs
Okay, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
President George Washington. George Washington. President Steve from L.A. Black People.
That's it. May 17th, before we go into this book, we have six intentions to quote Negros 90s. This is Dr. Jean LaPierre Leveur. The myth that he couldn't eat while his conditions were made from a combination of human teeth, multi, like a cow.
with steel springs.
Let me know.
Clark get man. What was wrong with you yesterday? What happened? Oh, that's right. You know what? He was partying. Partying to look too much.
Look, the person who sent it to me, she said, oh no, it ain't me. In terms of the Facebook and YouTube. She said, look at the feed. It ain't me. So look at the feed, y'all, figure out what's going on. Because, uh, yeah, this is to say, having none of your foolishness. I'm looking at YouTube. She heard you say that was her racket. I'm just saying, it gotta be the right thing.
You know, like she's straightening from uh, she's here. Yep. It tapped in like, no, don't play with me. It's nice to see they made the correction picture size. Oh, thank you. Yes. Thank you, Zebra. Yes. Thank you. Thank you. All right. Let me just take a second and acknowledge the good folks who are, you know, find themselves homeless this morning. Uh, I don't know if y'all saw this, but residents at two apartment buildings
overall from Michigan. 2300 block of Michigan. Um, then for the brother who called in Michigan and what 23rd street in what 23rd in Michigan, uh, that the fire department came in, uh, department of neighborhood services said that the buildings have life safety issues. A placard has been issued for both apartment buildings, meaning that they're both temporarily shut down.
They said that it was electrical issues in there. That was a fire hazard. And then even though it says it in the title, I didn't really see it in the story because it says the title on WISC and said, residents forced to vacate Milwaukee apartment building because of fire hazards, roaches, rats. And I kept looking in the story and I'm like, well, where's the part about like that you got to close down the whole apartment building because of roaches?
But they said that they had riding floors because water is entering the building when it rains and the floors are rotting. And then they said that there was a complaint about roaches and rats in the apartment. But what was sad is that these people have to find somewhere to go. And many of them, because it's September 24th, you just pay, I mean, well, not just, but you paid your rent for this month. Now you got to figure out
You know where you're gonna go? One lady she said Quote it's in a rough area, but this was my home my house where I paid the bills. I come home relax wind down Just nowhere to go. I have to find somewhere and such a short notice might have to stay at a shelter hotel tonight Think about that That you look, you know, you left and went to work this morning or whatever your situation is
And they told them they had 30 minutes to get they whatever they was going to take and get out. That's scary. Like you had 30 minutes to grab your and I was like for real fire department 30. They couldn't get two hours because they've been standing here all day. They couldn't get two hours. But how do you even you are you taking some clothes and your medication? Like what do you do in 30 minutes? Well, they were saying that it looked like.
Somebody had tampered with something that was in there something like they said something Electrical yeah, there's somebody tampered with it and oh it just said Where's it looking because I saw what they said that it was something electrical that was a part the city records also described the issue as interior of building and disrepair Where is that but
I just felt bad for those people when I saw that. So, you know, be, be, be appreciative. Be thankful, y'all, because there's people going through this morning. And this is just one situation we heard about. There are others. So just, just keep folks, you know, uplifted because people are going through it. But and I, and I feel bad for people because think about your floor rotten, but you paying rent though.
Like it's mad but they What pisses me off is these landlords these slumlords that noted that the property that's your own need work But you still written it out to people right you greedy right you want to take from people when you know But that these people really ain't got the means to go stay anywhere else So they forced us stay here and you take advantage of these people that is not right and I hate that
like I and then one thing I wish they had cited in the article is because they said this is on the landlord to fix this and they got away and so.
I'm assuming they're not paying rent while they gone. I was somebody gonna put their stuff in storage while they gone Like how does all of this work because they gave you 30 minutes to get whatever you were gonna get and leave So what about my stuff that's in this house? Yeah, that's what I was about to You know, is anybody gonna be responsible for security if something come up. Yeah, like how does any of this work and So I know y'all not expecting me be paying no landlord if I don't have no place to stay because I'm paying someplace else to stay so
It's just I just thought about all of the nightmare situations that went on with that Yes, no, I was gonna say what about the people? Financially, you know, that's living You ain't got it and you don't have the means you got something in you barely got gas in your car right that part You're going to an emergency shelter if one can take you and if you don't have children good luck with that You know after all the stuff that we went through trying to get this young lady placed somewhere
But no, they getting ready to be. It's some people and if you don't have family or friends that's willing to let you crash on a couch, you in trouble. You in trouble to get cold. Yeah, you in trouble. And all of that, you know, conversation about what we do to eliminate homelessness. That's chronic homelessness. There's every every day, regular homelessness. Man, good luck with that. Yep. Let me go to the phone line. Hey, Carla, what's happening with my little cell? Hey, so at least how you doing this morning?
All right, I was kind of wondering about, well, you know, with Salvation Army wasn't even there. Normally they're there to help people out. They weren't even in the news this morning, you know? Oh, and when you guys were talking about when LaTisha came on yesterday, talking about the reading abilities, I was so embarrassed within myself. I was like, oh, Lord, then I got to reading my ballot. I didn't understand nothing. So three questions.
So I was hoping before you go today, maybe you can get to it. I will do my best to get to it. Just hang in there. I'll get to it. Okay. Trust me. The way it's written is written to confuse. I'm just telling you, don't be 100% feeling bad about your ability to comprehend all of that because it is written in a way to confuse voters and I'll make sure I talk about it.
All right. Thank you. All right, y'all. Let me take a quick, oh, I got one more call. Let me get to me. Hey, Collin, what's happening? Good morning, Michelle. Good morning. I just wanted to add about the dental. You know, my mom and dad had to, was forced to do extraction because they couldn't afford the surgery and the procedures that you're fortunate to do. And that's why you see a lot of people around here with dentures that don't fit their mouth or missing teeth is because a lot of dental
this is we're knocking people teeth out because it was an easier routine and cheaper. And then wouldn't it been beneficial for the ornament over on 2030 Michigan to come out since they're getting about to get paid $90,000 and show some empathy for those people of that apartment building? Just to show faith and try to make us, you know, be okay with their increased salary. So this was like there was no salvation army.
And what are they going to do with the head of happened if it was over in the river rest neighborhood? All the men in the mayor aren't the accountable for making sure that these farm lords are doing their job. Well, I mean, that's what the Department of Neighborhood Services is. But in terms of like how
quickly, they can make them repair it, that kind of thing. I'm not sure anything like that is codified in the law because look at how long you see these properties that, you know, tore up and been in a fire and dilapidated. And there doesn't seem like there's any real pressure on these people to fix those places, which become an eyesore and drag down property values. So I don't know how much power they have to move the process along, but I'll ask the question and I'll find out.
Thank you. I appreciate the call. All right. Um, one thing they said in the article on, um, when they were talking about on channel 12. So there were 40 units that were occupied and 40 evacuated community advocates. And I don't know that's not the organization community advocates. It's just like, I think they said different people in the community were on site. When is they trying to help displace residents? So I don't know.
what all that included. It just said community advocates were on site, but that's not the organization community advocates. It is different people, similar to like a VARMAs or different folks that work with different groups that were trying to figure out how to help out. All right, let me take a quick break. Michelle Barnes of NLV, 860 AM, 106.5 FM. Be right back.
in OV. All right, family, welcome back to the show. Someone sent me a text message and said, Michelle, did they mention who the landlord was in this situation? They did. The buildings are owned by someone named Sam Stair, S-T-A-I-R. The buildings are owned by Sam Stair and the management company that runs them is called Smart Asset Realty.
or let me just say Smart Asset Realty, a third-party property manager is overseeing the property. So Smart Asset Realty manages the property, but the owner of the properties is a man named Sam Stair. And I'm not sure if he's a Wisconsin resident or, you know, who he is, where he lives or whatever, but that's who that is. I think Michelle, that's the guy they had got caught up with the apartment with the drug dealers.
Really? Yeah, I think this what I heard doesn't probably his properties to let me see if I can see anything Sam stair Yep, Milwaukee landlord charged in drug case. Yeah, that's released from jail. So let me see what it said Not a brother
a federal judge ordered Milwaukee area landlord Sam stair be released from jail stairs accused of intentionally renting properties to drug dealers core filing say stairs company S2 real estate owns more than 1500 units and this was just in May of this year but
He had conditions of release so he on home detention GPS monitoring no contact with code defendants He will be allowed to leave to go to work and other approved activities. So He had been in jail all of April he got out it was like the end of May played guilty to I mean played not guilty to the charges
Stare owns more than 150 rental properties mostly on Milwaukee Southside and suburbs through his company According to prosecutors he intentionally sought out and rented to drug dealers who'd use the properties to step as stash houses and trap houses and saw them as a dependable source of income In some instances drug dealers would manage the rental units
God, Jesus Christ. Oh, my God. Oh, I can't even get it out. Drug dealers would manage the rental units and find drug addicts to rent them. If addicted renters couldn't pay to rent, drugs would be with hail. In some cases, drug dealers were used as security and to carry out evictions. The money would then be put into bank accounts for stairs legitimate business.
By January of 2026 nearly 225,000 almost a quarter of all rental payments came from drug-associated properties Prosecutor says stair tipped off renters of a West Alice bar that police were investigating drug activity. Oh my god
and he out on there. See, that is me. Uh, see, see. Well, what I gotta realize is this. If if they didn't invest the gates to us and where the recall charge is that? Go ahead. That's that's where I was about to go because they knew.
They knew what he was doing. I just wanted to build the evidence. But it's not like this mostly white folks involved in this. Of course. There's not like West Side suburbs. I mean, South Side, the suburbs, you know, if it's a whole bunch of bus written, everybody turning around looking. Well, one wonder when you look at the units, why you look at the yeah, I look like they look like drug units. Yeah. Yeah. They look like drug. Yeah.
This is great. Okay, let me get this collar. This is disgusting. Hey, collar. What's happening? Yeah. Somebody said restart the live. We cannot hear that was at 735. Oh, hold on. I'm looking at this one right here. Clark. Hold on. Somebody said restart the live. We cannot hear in all caps. So you can hear it. Yeah.
Okay, so we can hear we got computer access to tell them to tell them to stop using cable company Get a real streaming service. Don't be afraid to do this All right, let me catch this caller so I can bring up what I told y'all was go happy. Let me let me get this caller. Hey caller. What's happening? What's going on Angela? How you doing this morning?
How are you? I'm good. I'm good. I haven't had time to be messy this morning. So. Oh, because I was okay. She made the lovely gift that I got.
No, I wasn't messy yet. I jumped right into some these people got had to move out the house over off Michigan. Yeah. No, I'm such a crazy story. I started with that this morning. So now you ain't missed it. You ain't missed that. Okay. Well, I'm at the hospital and gonna have my chest done for you. I have a blood. All right. All right. Talk to you later.
Look, answer the soap. She like, it was, did you get that? Did you tease them? Okay. So remember when I see it, when they started these immigration raids that black people had a level of indifference to them. I mean, black as an African American had a level of indifference to them because I'm legal. I'm a citizen. They get in essays. They get Mexicans. This thing I don't do with me.
or are they getting the Africans, the Haitians? This ain't gonna do with me because I'm black. Nothing to do with me. So over in Everson, Illinois, a couple of days ago, ICE pulls up on this brother and they reportedly have him confused with an illegal immigrant.
They interact with this brother. The brother ends up with bloody mouth, messed up teeth. Hit in the face and when they. So let me just do it this way. A man is recovering from injuries. He sustained Sunday morning after ice officers mistakenly in air quotes targeted him in a Chicago suburb.
In one video verified by NBC News, a black man is seen sprawled on the street near a curb behind a black SUV in Eveston, Illinois. Two agents wearing ice-style vests are seen standing over him. One of the agents has his face covered and is wearing a vest that reads police. And others appear to be pinning the man down to the ground. The man is shouting at them and can be heard saying, I'm an effing US citizen.
According to Evanston police, the man reported injuries to his head, neck and teeth, and officers at the scene requested an ambulance. But this is Evanston police officers, not ICE.
Police said they're investigating the incident, which was recorded by bystanders and has been posted on social media. One bystander in the background of the video was her saying the ICE officers used force against the man. Other bystanders begin shouting at the man on the ground asking if he's OK. ICE officers eventually get back in their black SUV and drive off, leaving the man on the ground. The bystanders begin trying to help the man and call Evanston Police.
Somebody said, quote, I saw two agents pinning down a gentleman. They were using very rough force on him. And it looked like they really did hurt him because we had to call 911. Someone else said, quote, when we saw him, he had his jaw swollen and he had a little blood on his shirt. I'm not sure if it was the agents or if it was his blood in a news release.
The Everson police said they spoke to the ICE officers who said, quote, they had attempted to identify an individual who resembled a person they were seeking. After the man refused to provide ID, he was, quote, detained for fingerprinting and resisting detention. An Everson officer reported seeing blood on the agent's hands. So other people talked about the man kept telling him, I am a US citizen.
I am, you know, a US citizen over and over again. They at first said it was his plates on his car. Then they said he resembles somebody. When they first told the story, they said they interacted with them, found that he was a US citizen and just left him alone and walked away. What the videos capture is them going through his car and getting and finding papers and then.
They threw the papers on the ground. They were strong on the ground and left the man laying on the ground, got an SUV and drove off. So this is a federal American agency. And you find out you just made a mistake about someone that you were interacting with after you done physically rough this man up. And then you leave him laying on the ground.
and throw his paperwork on the ground and just leave them. And it was everyday citizens who had to come and try to help this brother. But this is just a regular black dude, African-American. I told y'all, when we want to look the other way, and even in some cases, chuckle, man, this ain't nothing to do with me. Most of the Mexicans, they wrote it for Trump in the first place, good for they behind.
We eventually was going to get caught up in this. It was just a matter of time. So because they put these numbers in, we want you to hit this number of detainees, this number of people deported. So they're going after Haitians. I told you all about my lady that break my hair. You know, now they're coming after her. They're going after everybody because they're trying to satisfy this beast of racism.
in the Trump administration and to hurry up and hit these numbers. So they trying to get 50 or 60,000 people a month trying to hit these numbers. I think they said Stephen Miller had told them you should be making an arrest or detaining and deporting somebody every 12 minutes. Think about that. Every 12 minutes of a 24 hour day, we want somebody picked up in custody, being processed and being put in a detention center until we can put them out the country.
It's just a matter of time before black people, African Americans get caught up in this. There have been other cases, but this one is up the street. And the reason why I wanted to highlight this one, but the dirty, and these is the most lying, conniving agents. These are the raggediest people I have ever seen in my life. You realize you have interacted with somebody that was an American citizen.
You leave him laying on the ground, bloodied and injured. And throw this paperwork on the ground and walk away. Go ahead. No, I was going to say, you know, the scary part is.
They can pretty much do anything they want to to you and use the excuse. Well, I thought you were somebody else because I thought you were somebody else. Yeah. The famous lie they love to tell they use their card hit our car. Yeah. You ain't never in all your life heard nobody.
As much as these people say, oh, they use their car to ram our car. Nobody is ramming the police. Yeah, like stop lying. Yeah. And they can use that to actually beat you up, hurt you. And then you got a president who signs off on it. Yeah. And the Department of Justice who defend, I mean, these homeless security agencies who defend it. And that's why he, before all this stuff happened, Trump came out and said he want immunity for all officers because he knew he was giving them the green light.
Hey, do whatever you want to with them. If they I mean, they shouldn't be here anyway. So for these people that's getting caught up like the innocent blacks, we fall under that umbrella that OK, anything can happen to you. And then we could use the excuse of where we thought you were somebody else. Oh, well. Literally setting up a system in which you are given complete de facto immunity from whatever you do.
And it was crazy because you know Renee goods mom They were talking about her daughter's situation and Renee good the woman over white woman over in Minnesota who ends up being killed by the police Her mom was sitting up there looking crazy because she was like I voted for Donald Trump Yeah, yeah, she had to go testify in Washington DC
And she says that it says I voted for Donald Trump because y'all all thought this was for other people. Yeah, his ignorance and his abusive ways and his racism. All of that was going to be directed at them. I'm a good old white lady that none of this is for me. None of this smoke is going to be for me and mine. And your daughter ends up being killed by the very folks that the guy you voted for is trying to create all of this protection for.
Yeah, because if you notice when Trump was running, he was he was saying Trump is for you. Trump is for, you know, they was using that slogan. Right. Well, what people failed to realize that for you is not the average people that for you is for his rich billionaire friends that for you was for those people that aligned with him. So that for you for the best money exactly. So it's not for the people for the average American citizen that Donald Trump is for you.
Donald Trump is for his rich friends and everybody that aligns with him and then everybody else who don't oh well Look, um, I got a guest coming on at eight o'clock callers. I see y'all Give me a second though because I want to get this other story in real quick. I'm gonna come to the phone line Because it's second half for the show. I got callers on both ends But this was a story that I saw that just when I tell you honey, it couldn't have been me
They would have had a problem. That plane would have dropped out the sky. There was a woman who was on a plane going from Rochester, New York to New Jersey, okay? And the woman who was sitting towards the rear of the plane, like the last three seats by the bathroom in the back, got up and told the stewardess,
that the man sitting next to her was masturbating and looking at her. What? What? Had his junk out doing his pleasuring and just looking at her. She got up and the plane is full. There are no seats left on the plane, plane is full. So they tell the woman, I mean, so the woman is basically allowed to stand up the majority of the flight.
But nobody goes back there to see this man to see what's going on with this man They just had this woman stand up, you know, just stand up near the front off to the side or whatever so Now it's time to land the plane The woman is told she has to sit down to land the plane and the woman is like I Don't want to sit by this man and they tell her ma'am you have to sit down and
So she, you know, protests, but ultimately she goes ahead and sits down so they can land this play. She said when she gets off the plane, there are no police there to meet him. Nobody from United says anything to this man. He's just able to get up and walk off the plane. And she immediately complained and they gave her a $100 credit towards her $400 flights. Wow.
It don't never be me. Wow. It don't never be me. It never, never, never, never, never, never is me. Man, I can't handle it. And so, you know. Wow. And she was like, it's been people put off the plane for less. Yes. For cursing. Cursing. Your mid-drift, your clothes was too sexy. You know.
She said the man was able to just get and then this is the thing She's like so you know like the story to sit up in front of the plane when they land I'm in the back of the plane with this man by myself But I tell I would have been first of all I would sit up on that plane and say is there any man on his plane willing to sit next to this pervert So that I don't have to sit here Because y'all not gonna have me sit next to him
But then he would have been put on notice. I promise you, sir, you will be missing an appendage. If you pull this mess out and I'm sitting here again, pull it out again and see what happens. You don't think Lorena Bobbit is on his plane. Pull it out again and see what happens.
Pull it out again. It will be the last time you see it. I'm not playing with you. I could not get and then you're gonna offer her a hundred dollars Towards a $400 flight. So I hope this lady soothes them. What color he was? Somebody said this happened to me on the city bus. The bus driver said nothing. Now I keep my car running.
Can't pull this wanker off. Can you imagine that? Somebody said, what if it was the Air Mercer? The way they didn't go back there. The idea that nobody goes back there to do anything or say anything. So is it in a situation like that? This is say it's an emergency situation. Because she had went in the bathroom and stayed in the bathroom. No, they don't let you stay in the bathroom. What if you want to toilet?
The plane is getting ready to land. They gonna force you to get up. Well, I mean they try not I'm sure you know, I try to let you finish your business But like I said, somebody could have made they could have put her in the flight attendant seat and let the flight attendant sat back there by him. Yep. Yep. Because it ain't nothing to see they could have sat her up front in the flight attendant seat and let the flight attendant come back there and sit by him. Yeah. But see probably all women flight attendants didn't nobody want to engage you. Nobody wanted to but I'm gonna tell you right now.
I don't know. I I refuse to believe she was a sister because I just know baby. No. No. No. You see, that's why I was like, what color? But I'm telling you, I would have been raising so much hell on that play. I'd have been like, hey, we got a perverse thing back here with his junk out and we got to do something. Is this a man on his plane or some other sisters on his plane because this is going to have to be taken care of. I wish I would be right. And she said he was
pleasureing himself and looking dead at her while he was doing it. That cat pulled his Johnson out on the plane, man. Wow. And the airline did nothing. Yikes. But let him walk off the plane. So, I mean, I'm sure they don't want to touch him. Well, I know this one thing. They know who he was. Right. They got an address. Yeah.
And so somebody need to somebody need to holler at him, but but United Airlines need to have a behind. If this story is accurate the way the woman tells it United Airlines need to have a behind. Okay. What am I doing? Can I go to the phone line? Let me go to the phone line real quick. Hey caller. What's happening? Good morning. Good morning. You know, somewhere. All right. Are we on speaker? No, I just took a soft speaker. Okay, go ahead.
What you got? You were talking about the Haitian or the ICE officers probably mistaken the brother for Haitian or something like that. And it probably wasn't a mistake. It probably was just a harassment. Let's do our job. They weren't finding nobody that day. So they got out and packed my man pocket to pull my man over, you know. Now, let me tell you something. In most instances, I don't know what the case is, but I'm sure if he was saying I'm a US citizen,
That means he probably doesn't cooperate with how you do on my man. When you go right here, uh, there's my driver's license. So you run the check or do whatever you got to do. And he's sitting in the car. He's probably one of those guys and I'm just These are the same people that shot somebody in their neck and left the book. Hang up. I want to talk to them. Hang up. You go stop calling in here trying to get people a pass and an excuse for how they treat people. Why you do that though? I just ain't never seen them.
Calm down, Michelle. Calm down. Calm down. I mean, I'll do it for you. I'll do it for you. I mean, it don't make sense, man, because first of all, you know that even when a- Why is mouth into bloody? Why is mouth into bloody? Even if he didn't want to give them his license or whatever the case is, they don't give them the right to do what they did to him. And then you leave them on the ground and you throw his paperwork on the ground. These are the same people. It's a man sitting right now.
When a bullet in his back because he's trifling behind people will not let this man get medical care Right now. So, you know what it's gonna take show? It's gonna take for something of this magnitude to happen to him and his family members something like you know Because he probably still try to explain it away like you but you're not gonna do that this morning being bloody. You're not gonna do that this morning. I just looked at the little child star That used to be on home improvement
Remember home improvement. Um, yeah, whatever his name was. Yeah, Tim, you know who, you know, he a Big Mac supporter. Um, but home improvement, the boy that was the youngest brother or the middle brother, because I think there was three boys. He was the middle brother. He was the short one. So this would have had a drug problem since he'd been a child actor. He's been in and out of trouble. He just got arrested either yesterday or the day before.
Kick the officer in his crotch He ends up shot white privilege He they showed his mug shot. He wouldn't beat up Nothing So the ability to attack This brother mouth bloody and they lied in the initial report
And then when the police talk to him and the police like, I see the blood on your hands. No, you didn't just find out he was a US citizen and leave him alone and walk away. You leapt out the whole part about you and pinned him down on the ground. You tried to handcuff him and arrest him. Like you didn't say none of that. Go back and look at their original statement.
We engaged the citizen. We thought he was somebody else. We found out he wasn't. We left him alone. You leave out all of the juicy details. But Meach, Bruh, I do not know what is wrong with you that you can always figure out a way to make it our fault.
You sound like white folks who be saying, well, if they just comply, but we see white people show they behind all day every day and live to tell the story. There is a video. I don't know if anybody's seen it. That's viral on social media and they said it happened here in Milwaukee. What's up with that man? Why do chasing the police officer?
And the police officer just running running from in the white to swing it at boom swing it at him And the police officer you ain't turned around you ain't never put your hand on your gun You ain't tried to shoot him you running from this white man, and then you fell down Yes, the video is vital and all the black people like so let's just Take a minute and look at this video and see how this would have went if this had been a person of color, of course, we know how so you know
I gotta take a break, but when I tell you I came with this I just I can't I just I can't I can't We sick balls. I think we sick balls. That's what you sound like
I'll be right back. Jesus Christ. All right. All right, family, welcome back to the show. So we are trying to figure out if we're going to be able to get this interview done with Byron stripling. Many of you that listen to the show, you know that we have had this brother on before. He is a conductor.
And MSO opens up their concert series season, usually with him coming in and just tearing the place apart. This year, he is doing Kings of Soul. And this show is happening this Saturday on the 26th and on Sunday on the 27th. So there's a 730 show and a 230 show.
On Sunday and I promise you I need to be trying to figure out if I can make this 230 show because he is going back and they are doing The 1960s to the 80s and they are doing everything from Marvin Gaye James Brown Michael Jackson It is going to be nothing but phenomenal and it is all
Black men. So hence the title, the kings of soul. And folks that have seen the show around the country have raved about it. You know, I mean, you doing you'll never find Otis ready. So hopefully we'll be able to figure out if we can get this brother on. But I would encourage you if you don't have plans yet for this weekend to consider going
over to see the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and Byron stripling as the conductor doing Kings of Soul Saturday. I think what is it? Seven o'clock show on Saturday and a two thirty show on Sunday, but I'll get the specifics. In the meantime, we got some callers on hold. Let me get them in real quick. Hey, caller, what's happening? What's going on, JT? How you doing today?
Everything is everything, young lady. Everything is everything, okay? And good morning to my other favorite people in the studio this morning. Good morning, gentlemen. Good morning, JT. Yeah, Michelle. Yes, sir. I guess, Whitney. I know it's been a while since white people was finally found out that it might end up being a minority in this country. So I think it's just been found out.
If the Republican end up being a minority in Wisconsin, they're not all the way to get that friction nature back into the White House to be president. So he can do their bidding. So now you've got this freaking nature as president again, along with this tyrants, they're trying to engage into ethnic cleansing. That's all they're doing. They are engaging in ethnic cleansing.
And I thought they already came after black people because wouldn't they attack a black project in Chicago some time ago? Yeah, they went into a predominantly black housing area and apartment, and yep, had black folks in zip ties in the back of U-Haul trucks. Yes. Yeah, so yeah, I thought they were already coming after us, but they're going to get worse now as she said earlier. And it's just...
I just hope, here I go again, I just hope to God that we come out and vote and love women so we can try to put this under control because it's just totally ridiculous now. They shooting people left and right and lying about it. You see them on the video. It's like, don't believe you're lying eyes and stuff. So, yeah, it's just getting sick and tired of them.
So I just wanted to add another 10 cents in this show this morning. Thank you for taking my car. You're about to have a good day. All right, JT. Appreciate you. Got another caller? What'd you say, Clark? Yeah. Oh, we got him. Okay. Oh, there he is. All right. Hey, hey. All right. So I'm going to. Oh, okay. Um, Mr. Shriplin, give me one second. I'm going to take this caller and then I'll be right there. All right. Hey, caller, what's happening?
Hey, all I'm going to see is always going to have to do with both and we're going to just have to keep exposing because even if they try to do ethnic cleansing, all their kids will look like alpha and alien. And everything they started, they created. Next thing you know, the kids walking around here looking like
Ford F-150s and Toyota Tundros. I just think they come from a sick society. And you also need to call somebody to come in from disease control and talk about zoonotics because somebody was messing with a fish. Maybe they were trying to get caviar and fish and that's it. Have a good morning. Bye-bye.
Yikes. Look, I'm looking at Byron Stripland. Byron Stripland. Welcome to A60, bro. Welcome to the show. All right, y'all. I told you that we were trying to get him in, and it looks like we have been able to make this connection. This is possibly one of my favorite interviews to do. I have had an opportunity to talk to this brother before. Let me just say good morning, first of all.
to none other than the incomparable Byron Stripley. Good morning, sir. How are you this morning? I'm doing so great. I am so glad I was able to log in and hang with you guys. Because the first thing I did was start laughing. That's how every day should start. Today we need it to keep from crying. We need it. We need it. How are things going, man?
Things are going great. We're getting ready to have some rehearsals for this concert we're doing this weekend. And I want to just start by saying, it's a man's world, but it wouldn't be nothing without a woman. And I'm so glad that that little caveat is thrown in at the end. If James Brown wouldn't have put that in there, then we would have had a problem. Yes, it would be a big problem. We would have had a problem. But I'm going to tell you when I saw Kings of Soul.
You know, I said, well, okay, we're not going to do sisters. But I thought about, I said, you know what? Everybody get to how they like the sun. You know, let's do that. Let's do the brothers. I'm fine with it. Tell me, Byron, how we get to this selection of where does this show come from? I know that I've looked at reviews from around the country. Reviews have been amazing. But where does the idea to do something like this come from?
Well, there's a friend of mine. His name is Jeff Tizek. And I've known him since I was like real young in my 20s. And he's like, man, let's do some stuff. Let's put some shows all over the place and show them what the music of Motown is like, jazz stuff, any of that kind of stuff. And it's just a matter of getting your heads together and coming up with great shows. And we've been able to do that. And we're so fortunate we get to feature them here in Milwaukee, my favorite place to be. I just can't afford to live where y'all.
live y'all have all these mansions and stuff you know I've got a little house about this big you know that's the rest of us you must be talking about downtown we got the same little spot you got um so this period covering that uh what is it the 60s through the 80s is that about right I was there like right around there all those places and it's just I mean like if I were to just go through some of the songs we're gonna sing for you know what about
Stand by me. You know, that's the old good Benny King one. We got dance to the music. You got the love steam. You got the backstabbers. That's one of my favorites. What they do, smile in your face. All the time they want to take your place. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. You trying to take my job? Yes, I'm looking for a job. You trying to? It won't be figured out. But I'm happy to be a backup singer. I got you all backup vocals all the time. OK.
You officially been knighted as a background singer. I want to see you on stage tomorrow with us when we all right and just be back there dancing. I'm telling you this I am so because are you guys doing more than the one day? We got so we have our Gala which is gonna it's like our fundraiser and that's on Friday and then Saturday and Sunday we're just gonna go crazy with Motown and all the greatest music you've ever heard. You know. Smokey Robinson. Yeah.
We got all those stations, the miracles. I mean, and I'm going to just tell you, I was listening to another show two days ago and they were playing Duke Ellington and Coltrane. Oh, my God, that's one of my favorite recordings. How do you know that you too young to be knowing all that? I wish I wish I wish.
You know, they talked about the ability to connect to an audience and tell a story without saying a word, just through the music. This is the flip side in which, you know, and I mean, don't get me wrong, the music itself is amazing. I was watching, I think it was a guitarist, Freddie Washington. Yeah. Yeah, who did. Oh, I can't remember the sister he did work with. But, you know,
you realize what the instruments can do for you. Sure. Yeah. But when you go back and you look at that era of music between the 60s and the 80s, the lyrics, what the content was, what was being said, the messages in some case, or just feeling, you know, it is, it is just like the best of all things. So you complimented with this amazing, you know, orchestra or the instrumental side, but
That that takes us back to a different place when you hear some of these lyrics Absolutely, yeah And what's your impression? You know as you think about mirroring those things. I mean well, it's just all those songs during that period There was a different time People trying to I guess it was still doing it in a lot of ways people trying to get a halfway decent job people not getting promoted As they should my father used to say yeah, I trained all the people below me and then they went above me
you know that kind of stuff. So all this is going on and there's two times when you feel good. The first time is when you leave work and then you can just hear great music and you sing and that's sort of like your your drug that you have all these great this great music and that cools you out. And then the second one is when you go to church on Sunday and everybody just hallelujahs for a couple hours or more if in my case because we were there
Actually, we were in church eight days a week, really, in my family.
I think you got some brothers in the studio there. Can I we got a PK's kids sitting up in here? He's in position as well. He has a band here So I'm sure you have folks that can completely. Oh, yeah Well, see my father was a choir director that means if you're his son you have to be in the choir So I was a choir rehearsal every day every time we could right there, you know But the music is the thing that sooth the soul
It cooled us out, and it also made us recognize that forever the music that was sung during this period that we're talking about will always be there. And it speaks of heartbreak, it talks of the hardness, but especially it talks about love. Love for one another, doesn't matter what color you are. And I always have that when I go sing to people, I'm singing for everybody. And if you don't like it, please leave.
Well, look, let's let's talk about this career viewers, though, because, you know, I have seen you now, I think three times. Okay. The way you you move through the sets of, you know, these different, you know, transition from one song to the next, the filler in between, it just seems so
I don't want to say effortless because I think that that diminishes it in some way because you know that this is technique, it's work, it's years of being comfortable in the setting. But it just looks like, like man, this man loves his job.
He is having a good time. Yeah. And I feel that's sinful actually because a lot of people, a lot of people go to work every day and they hate what they do. I just feel so fortunate and you're the same. You love what you do. You can tell by the enthusiasm that comes through. For me, I absolutely love what I do and I wake up every morning probably earlier than I should because I want to get to work.
finding out how we can uplift people through the power of music. And as I said, you know, we do it when we go to church. We do it when we go to the concert hall. We don't care who you are, what color you are, anything. We just go there to lift people up. That's my mission, is that people will feel a little bit better when they leave a concert that I've done.
And if that happens, then we've done our job. Now we've got to take that to everybody. See what they used to say? When you feel down and out, sing a song. It'll make you day. See, I didn't tell you I was going to bring my choir here, but they're right behind me. I got about 30 people. And we're going to fit in my hotel room and sing for you. Bring them. Bring them. Come on. And I do understand you got vocalists coming in. Yes, we got three guys.
who are all killing, yes. I want you to know, I have shows that I do that are also freeing for women at a time. So it's just, there's no chauvinistic stuff here. Everybody's welcome, you know, so we always- I mean, like I said, the minute I saw Kings of Soul, I immediately thought Kings of Comedy, you know, and like I said, everybody gets a platform. No, no, no, no, no, no shame in that. No, no hate, no, and it's perfect. But for just a second, the technical side of things, because
There are a lot of people that have tried to figure out how to make their way in terms of music and a career. Literally, I have two band directors, band, you know, people with their bands right here at our radio station. Performing, yeah, performing everywhere. One brother is international, quite honestly, in the work that he's done. But when you think about that piece about being the conductor.
And, you know, I look around to see how we show up and where we show up in terms of people of color. Can you just speak a little bit about, you know, how this becomes your lane? And, you know, do I start as a musician and ultimately, you know, work to become a conductor was being a conductor, the initial interest. How does this whole thing come into fruition?
Well, it's from the moment I woke up, my father was a classical singer. Not many black men back in the day were doing that. We're talking about the early 1960s and before. And he loved classical music. So he started conducting and singing classical music. But see, when I went home, came home after dad had been working on that, he was also a music teacher, a voice. But when he came home,
That's when he put on Duke Ellington and Count Basie and Louis Armstrong and Dizzy Gillespie and so many of these great people. Then after that, he would, soon as that finished and he heard his jazz, then he put on Motown. He's going from there. See, my father liked all kinds of music and he wanted to know
and get in his head music from classical jazz, rock, folk, country, all of it. And so you sort of learn about all of these things and you try to see how you can add them to who and what you are. So anybody that's aspiring to be a musician or a conductor, it's all about study. When I wake up in the morning, what am I gonna study before I leave here? What do I need to worry about my scores, all the music that I'm gonna do each day? How am I gonna let the orchestra know how to be louder?
or softer or better or whatever. And so it's a long process. Everybody wants things to be done really quickly. The best stuff is when you work your tail off every single day on your music, and then you'll start to affect people with the greatness that you have within you, but that greatness has to be nurtured and groomed and practice 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I'm thinking about music, you know? And it drives my wife crazy, by the way. So last question.
From the very first time you ever stood on the stage as a conductor to the the seasoned brother that we see today. The advice that that brother today would give that young man who stood there for the first time or the differences between that first moment and where we are today. Well, what I know is that practice what we do every day is whether you're a conductor or a trumpet player like me or singer.
Practice is the price of proficiency. If you want to do anything well, you have to do it a lot. It's not a cute thing. It's not a glamorous thing. It's you in your room, your own room, by yourself with the door closed, making mistakes, ironing this stuff out, studying your theory, your harmony, your melodies, all of that stuff. Playing a little bit of piano. I'm a trumpet player. I have to play a little bit of piano to hear some things. These are all the things that you have to put together and never
relinquish never hold back go full circle and if you do that you will uplift people through the power of music and that's why we're here that's why you do what you do i can feel it in what you do and i do i feel it in what i do in all great musicians all great artists have that
Well look folks, I'm letting you know right now there are Some tickets left not a ton. I mean if you've ever gone to these shows they sell out I'm gonna tell you the best thing for me in coming to your shows. I know I'm gonna have a good time. There's gonna be
Usually there's audience interaction, you know, participation, some calling response that goes on. I think I've had moments where I actually stood up and danced in the aisles. You know, and I definitely know I was singing along to the point that the people next to me, I was waiting on them to tell me like, we didn't come to hear you, Michelle, we came to hear.
But then I realized they were singing louder than I was singing. That's right. The atmosphere that you create is so
It is so refreshing. It's so engaging. And it's just one of those things. It feels good to go to your shows. Like there's not a ton of places, you know, I kind of know what I'm like. I'm going to get maybe what to expect. But I feel good when I get there. I feel better when I leave. And I'm usually humming for two or three days. There you go. Had a chance to be there. So I'm telling folks, you don't want to miss this show. Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra King King.
So it's happening on September 26th, and I am look I'm on the website right now trying to see what the tickets is looking like This show 730 and are you guys you doing a Sunday show right? Yes. Yeah 30 on Sunday. Yes. Yes. Okay. All right So we will definitely do everything we can to push people your way because and trust me this is not
To help mso. This is to help you You know, we need we need this we need these these feel-good moments the opportunity to get recentered to remind us what's important I was just telling somebody after I heard These two brothers reminding us about Ellington and I just had to go back Mm-hmm and just deep, you know unplug from politics everything and I did 24 hours of music straight
There you go. 24 hours. It felt like I had left the country. It had taken the longest nap, rejuvenated. It felt so good. You know, some people think they need to pop a pill or smoke some kind of funny cigarette. Or you got to get some good music on in there and just dance. I dance in my room all the time. Nobody there. And that's where that love comes from.
Well, I'm telling you, folks, you do not want to miss this, brother. This is an amazing show. So well done. So, so much fun. So engaging. So we will see you this weekend. And did you do the end double ball recently? Oh, yes, we did it yesterday. That's because somebody is in our comments and they said Mr. Shripling and his ensemble did an excellent job last night at the end double ball. And I didn't realize it was happening last night because I was there the previous year. So you get you did that last night.
Yes, last night we had a ball too. We had people dancing and hollering and carrying on, acting crazy. You talked to Steel J's round title, the hardest working man in show business. I'm still, I already stole it. Look, I am loving it. Well, we will see you this weekend. Thank you for everything you do and thank you for being a part of the fabric of our music scene here in Milwaukee. Well, thank you so much for having me. It's really an honor and a privilege.
Yes, sir. Talk to you soon. All right. We love you. Other than Mr. Byron Stripley, he is going to be at the Kings of Soul at the Bradley Center, Symphony Center. And this is happening. You have an opportunity to see them on Saturday and on Sunday. So you can lead church.
That's right. Head right on over and you will be blown away by what is going to take place. Talk to you soon, Barry. We love you. Thank you. All right. Thank you. All right, y'all. Let me take a quick commercial break. I should have another guest calling in. All the woman, Larissa Taylor. We'll see. I think we got her pulled up. So I'm going to take a quick break. We'll be right back.
Alright family, welcome back to the show. Someone said, Michelle, where is the event for Kings of Soul? It is at the Bradley Symphony Center to 12 West Wisconsin Avenue. The Bradley Symphony Center to 12 West Wisconsin Avenue. So I told you I was expecting another guest this morning, Alderwoman Larissa Taylor. I believe she has joined us online. Good morning, Alderwoman.
Good morning. Good morning. Thank you so much for letting me call in.
No, I am so glad you were able to follow back up because there were some additional questions about the business conference that you all are doing or that you're doing tomorrow. And so it was a great opportunity to be able to just talk to you again, help people understand what was going on. And I know we have a guest that you have brought with you this morning to join us to talk about this whole thing. So let's find out what this sister is.
Hello there. I'm location winners. Hello, miss location. How you doing this morning? Wonderful. Wonderful. So all the women tell you why don't you set this up for us and help us understand what location's role is in this whole thing. Okay, so annually we do a open for business conference in the nice district. And wait, wait, wait. So folks that don't know.
What exactly is the ninth automatic district area? What area are we talking about? So the ninth automatic district is from 43rd Street down to 124th starting at Neal Road on the south end and going all the way to County Lion Road on the north end. Okay, and so, yeah, we have a vast area. But I want to say that this, we call it the ninth district because
It's in the district. It's going to be held in the ninth district. We sponsor it. And it grew out of a need that I saw in the ninth district as I had, when I first got into office, I received a number of calls looking for how the city could support businesses. And so I said, you know, rather than doing one business at a time and sharing information, we don't put it all under one roof.
and encourage everybody to come and find out ways of being successful in business. But this is open to the whole city. So anyone that is in the city of Milwaukee or wherever they can make their way down, come down 7301 Champions Way at direct supply and be part of what can help your business grow. So the biggest thing that we were asked for
is how do we find capital for our business? And so we definitely have a panel that is going to discuss small business access to capital. We also want businesses to be able to grow. So you want to start maybe as a small business, but we need to be magnified and grow so that people all over the city and then some know who you are. And then the best of all,
which is where our guest comes in, is that we want to find access to things that we normally don't have access to. And I'm going to tell you, we have some amazing talent in the African-American community. And so we pulled together some folks to talk about AI and how AI
is going to help your business grow. And so with that, if you have enough information for me, Friday, September 25th, from 9 to 230, 70301 West Champions Way. And I want to turn it back over to you so we can hear the amazing things that LaKeisha Lim is going to discuss as she brings us into the AI era.
Well, thank you so much. And so, yes, LaKeisha, please, you know, there are a number of people on some level, they are scared of AI. They talk about the ability for AI to displace workers, to take over a lot of the mundane functions that businesses do and, you know, they have employees to do. But I'm going to tell you, I am somebody, I use AI a lot for a lot of different things that I manage and control, the ability to get work done.
And quickly, you know, particularly as a small business owner, it has been nothing short of life saving for me in terms of my time. But I'm interested in terms of the presentation and kind of your experience with AI, what folks can expect to hear from you? Thank you so much. So you know, some really valid points in regard to saving time. And that's one of the reasons I've been in financial services industry forever.
20 years and I understand the barriers that access to capital can have on businesses, can have on individual people. And so the fact that artificial intelligence will allow us to strategically partner together as a thinking partner, take what you already know and enhance it, it takes you to another level of access, right? And so when you think about that and eliminating barriers, we want to make sure we educate people. Of course, there's people that are afraid
of the technology, but at the same time, are we going to sit on the sidelines or are we going to educate people and tell them how to control it with governance, the proper security, the proper access, and use it responsibly so that they're not missing out on this opportunity to save time, to increase their revenue, to do other things that you just talked about so that you're not continuing to struggle through your business when you have a partner that you can use that you wouldn't necessarily be able to pay for.
you can create a CFO by programming it to be a CFO with the knowledge and the information that a CFO carries. Now, will it be as great as a CFO? No, but it's a running start to help you manage your day-to-day keeping track of your expenses. And before, you would maybe fumble through that because you didn't have the knowledge, but now you can try to be seen to partner with you as your CFO and help you track your expenses so that at the end of the year, when it's time to file taxes,
When you go to your tax preparer, you have something prepared that speaks to the numbers in the outcome for your business. So that is the reason why I really speak on the importance of leveraging this tool. It gives you that position in your business and in your life to get through some of those barriers that may have been a barrier in the past. You know, that is crazy because like you said, we hear people talk about all the time like tasks that
particularly like entry level tasks, we see people have the ability to replace some of those things, administrative assistance, because how I use AI can effectively take over those responsibilities. LaKeisha, I have never heard anybody say that you literally have the framework to be able to have this other officer of your company, you know, in that functioning role to be able to, okay, that's the first time I've ever heard that.
And you know what, that's top one for things like using AI in a different way. You'll hear a lot of individuals that study artificial intelligence that you'll hear them say this because we're studying it differently. We're studying it based on the potential of what it can be, how we can eliminate every single thing that you're doing, how that can eliminate the barriers, right? So we're thinking outside the box, how can we leverage this?
And with you having that strategic partner in AI with a chat with his class, you know, you never know what you can come up with. But it starts with you. It's human layer, right? So you have to be able to tell it what you want. Something as simple as a messy prompt, a brain dump into the pool that you can turn around and turn that into a organized prompt and ask a like to make my prompt even better, making more, giving more information, you know, making more effective, making more strategic and then you turn around and use that pop that you fixed.
and ask AI to answer that question, and then that's what you call like a megapomp, and then it gives you even more information. So take something that you've learned in the book and you still don't understand it, dump it into the tool, and then ask it to break it down to you like a fifth grader, here you go, now you understand it. So, and now at this point, we move from just talking through, talking to AI and asking it for prompts, we move to directing it, right, orchestrating it, so now there are
AI agents for connections and plugins that help you put a whole entire workflow or a whole entire system together that allows you to just give it that one-time command if it's a reoccurring task. And now your hands off to the point where all you need to do is have your human checkpoints in place to ensure what goes out is mutual requirements and is secure and mutual governance level.
So it's so many different, simple as an email, right? You don't no longer have to just respond to your own emails. You can set something in place to respond. But you program it. You have to program it. And that's what a lot of us don't do. We have to audit our business and talk about it. Audit our lives from top to bottom in order to understand where AI can be implemented. Because you don't want to just log in and sign up for all these tools, because they can get costly.
You need to know what you do in your business every day and how you do it and where your life falls in. And you know what? And so, because I'm up against the clock, but that was one thing and hopefully people will come and come to this session so that they can learn more because, yes, there are pay programs. There are free programs. You know, how do you protect some of the work that you're doing on these programs? Who has access to be able to see it? So, you know, just the.
The range of topics that can fall up under this are so vast. And even as I'm using AI in my own business, I'm learning new things every day. And I started laughing. I said, you probably should just go, you know, take a class or, you know, do some training or because I'm just stumbling onto it and figuring it out. Like you said, now I'm at the phase where I'm directing AI. I'm not asking.
You know, I'm telling it what I need. I'm getting the things done that I need to get done. And before it was kind of like whatever they gave me, I'm just kind of going with that. And I'm like, no, because one of the things I always see some of my friends, I look at somebody at work and I'm like, this was done by AI because you, the way you're putting in the prompts to do whatever it is you're doing.
the way it's spitting it back out to you, it doesn't look like you got it. It looks like it got it you. And I know that sounds kind of weird, but it's just one of those things. So there are folks that are hitting me up. They sound excited about this. I know that there is a registration for this Alderwoman Taylor. So could you please give the registration information? Unfortunately, this is the thing. Unfortunately, we're going through direct supply. So shout out to direct supply.
but they had to close our registration yesterday at 9 o'clock. But I wanted you guys to know the amazing information that we bring forth every year. We try to bring some more and more amazing people to the forefront. So if you miss her, don't worry because I want to also give a shout out to our bees, Grandville and Havenswood. She's going to be around and we're going to make it so
that if you need to get in touch with her and connect with her, take a class with her, she'll be around. So no worries. If you miss her on Friday, no worries. I'm so sorry that we had to close that registration, but you know, direct supply has to keep track of who's coming and going out of their facility. And so shout out to them. Shout out to real quick, save a lot of Coca-Cola, two of our partners.
And also to Deborah Moore and Annette Jackson, they have been amazing for helping pull this all together for the City of Milwaukee. So I'm going to tell you, just look for her name, look for some of the others that are also going to be on the panel, but we'll make it available. Just stay in touch with us and we'll make her information available.
Well, thank you. No, thank you. And thank you for making sure you brought this back to us. I know I got people now they salty with you all to woman Taylor because I was like for real. Oh, so yeah, y'all be for all the woman Taylor when y'all see her. I got it out of here. But do me a favor, all the woman, please share my contact information with LaKeisha because I'm happy to have her on the show.
to also talk about how AI can be of use. She can't give all the stuff away. This is what she does as a part of her business.
It would be great to have the opportunity so that our listeners get a chance to learn from her and understand how and why they should engage services like hers. Thank you, ladies, both so much. I appreciate it. Hopefully tomorrow is a huge success. When you talk to Mark Wade, push him in the back of the head for me and tell him I send my love. I'd be interested all the women, Taylor, later to figure out how things went and hear what the feedback was.
Thank you so much. I appreciate that. All right. Pleasure to meet you, LaKeisha. Thank you. You have a good one. All right now. All right, y'all. That's the show for the day. This time when this month is flying. Oh my God. It's time for me to go. Crispy shopping. Okay, I gotta get out of here. Michelle Bryant, I appreciate my brothers in the building for making it go. Family, y'all be safe. Have a great weekend. Come to community brainstorming.
Saturday morning, St. Matthews CME Church. We are talking education. The Cole Hannah Jones' article timely. We are talking education and what we need to understand to help our children thrive and succeed. This is a perfect time since it's the beginning of the school year. I'll talk to you all next week. Be safe.
