Say Something Real · Thu Sep 17, 2026
Good morning, good morning. What's happening family? Welcome to the show. It is Michelle Bryant here at WNOV 860 AM 106.5 FM. You are listening to say something real. Good morning to the bros in the building. Mr. Ryder. Are we good y'all?
Okay. I could see you. Hold on, this debug called me, hold on.
Hello. That's what he was just telling me. He telling me that right now. Okay, cool. Bye. Hey, Jack.
Good morning. Good morning. What's happening family? Welcome to the show. It is Michelle Brian here WNO V8 60 a.m. 106.5 FM. You are listening to say something real and If you made on the show from DC this morning, I flew out last night to come to Congressional Black Caucus and Was with some Milwaukee folks on the plane? Was riding with a alder woman
Andrea Pratt says when I ran into him down in Johnson, so I anticipate Wisconsin folks in the city today. Let me say good morning to the brothers in the building. What a ride out. How you doing this morning, sir?
Who you with?
Oh, man. Oh, yeah, you caught me off guard with that one. Hey, I caught everybody. I even caught the man himself. Right. Clark's in there like, well, what am I saying? Right. Who am I with? Are you moves? How you doing this morning, bro? Man, I'm good. So it is real gloomy out here. Is this the May No Weather report? Hey. Good report.
meteorologists may know cundella, man. Shale, it is a real cloudy, gloomy. It looked kind of spooky outside. Really? So, uh, uh, yeah, it's, it's, it's. We Halloween ready up in there? Yeah. And that's exactly what it looked like. It looked like October, uh, you know, like those October mornings when it's gloomy and no sun and the street lights are still on. That's what it looked like. So.
Well, yeah, well, it's raining further south. Back to you, Bob. What's going on? What's going on, Clark Kent?
I'm doing good. I'm doing good. How's your flight? Everything was was just easy. It was a non stop. Hardly anybody in the airport but I don't know. Southwest was tripping when I got ready to do baggage checking. The line was wrapped all around the building. I was like really? Yeah, I had never seen that before. Uh the line was wrapped all around.
I was like, man, I'm trying to drop my bags off. But it was cool. And then I haven't, and the deal is I hadn't flown or no, I take a back. So I have global entry. I don't have TSA pre-check. It's included in global entry. I'm going to tell people right now, remind them, if you travel, and particularly if you go to the internet, if you only travel domestically within the US, then TSA pre-check is cool.
I do global entry because I do international travel and so it includes TSA pre-check and So it just makes things easier The lines are easier shorter the whole nine for five years. I think it costs like 120 But that's money you'll ever spend well evidently when I was booking my flight I forgot to put my global entry number on my reservation and so I
Didn't have my precheck clear and you could lie don't get it, but I was like man I'm not doing that. So I just went on and went through the regular line as opposed to the TSA precheck line And I was like, um Dang yeah take your shoes off you gotta do this. I Forgot they had changed the rules and you don't have to take your shoes off no more and
I was like, well, dang, that was one of the main reasons why I wanted TSA pre-check, because I ain't want to take off my shoes, my belt, my this, my that. But yeah, that was the first time I had noticed that, like, yep, people didn't have to take their shoes off. Well, son, I'll tell you why, son. Those TSA workers got tired of smelling tea. I was going to say that, too.
They got tired of smelling toes, man. Like, you can't start washing your feet in the morning, man. Go on through, man. Go on through, man. You're the beast. Thank you. Let me be clear. TSA don't give a damn about nobody. That was touching my prime back when I was in the line. I don't know what it is about the way I'm built. But every time I go through that scanner, they be like, can you step to the side? Can you step to the side?
I'm like, come on, y'all. Every time I go back, I just never walk through. So yeah, that was different. And then I don't know if y'all saw that they are talking about a proposal to change, whether or not people can walk directly to the gate.
any more. Remember back in the day, you could walk all the way to old school. You could walk to the gate. This is all what, pre-9-11. You could walk to the gate. See your loved one, get on the plane, wave, be sitting there when they walk off the plane. Everybody yells, you may. You know who's who. People be like, dang.
So I started asking some people, I said, so what do y'all think with them saying that they're going to go back old school and let people walk to the gate? And immediately people was like, they're trying to kill.
They let these crazy people come to the gate. Oh, no, they tried to kill us. But I'm going to tell you, you know, like if you got an escort, because I said one of the things too is got to be weighing on them is if you got to have an escort for like an elderly parent or people, people that use wheelchairs or, you know, or they use a.
They need to do that can't do that walk So you got to have all of the staff to push him because I know when I was in the airport when we got to DC This sister the guy pushed her Off the I mean he got onto a wheelchair off the plane ma'am. We're sure handed so I don't have anybody that can push you on out of the terminal to you know baggage claim and he said so we don't have to figure something out so she was just sitting there and like you know
If I had more time, I would have just like, ma'am, can I get you everywhere? But she was just sitting there and they were trying to figure out because they didn't have no staff because all these people got to be pushed out. So I could see that part being helpful. But nobody I talked to was gene for having people be able to come back up to the gate.
Okay, wait, y'all, hold on one second. I'm gonna walk away. Jermaine, talk to the crowd while I walk away. All right. Well, I guess me and Clark, we can have a conversation. Clark, who you with? Hey, man, I think I'm with you, man. They put me and you on the screen, man, because I'm gonna be the one to see with the top of my head. Hey, well, we're gonna see the top of your head to the top of her pillows.
Let me put you back on the screen. Put me back on the screen. Hold on, y'all. Hold on. Put me back on the screen. There you go. We don't want to see now. We don't supposed to see now. Turn off the lights. I'm going to go right here and see you. Y'all see me now? No, we don't. Y'all see me now? They ain't right there. No, we see the door. OK, OK, OK. Good. OK, welcome.
Welcome back to Hood Radio. Right. I had to get up and go answer the door and get my room service. Did they bring you something to eat? Yeah, I ordered and I had to have some coffee and you know they had a little coffee maker in the room but inside they had a little coffee maker thing.
Yeah, be safe. Yeah, be safe. So, no, sorry. If I had time to clean it myself, so I was like, no, I got to order me some coffee this morning. It costs $18, but you know, it's to get some coffee. Oh, it's a fool in DC. It's a fool. I want to be clear. It's a fool. So, in case you know, what? Well, you know, before you get started, I just want to make sure.
I just wanted to make sure that you acknowledge the people that have gotten up early to chime in and listen to you. The screen is popping. You've got plenty of comments. And I just wanted to make sure that you don't leave out your listeners that's watching on YouTube as well.
Well, thank you so much. I definitely was not going to do that. I want to say good morning. I just pulled it up on my cell phone so I could see. Let me turn my, let me turn my volume down. Okay, so yeah, I can see the good people. What's going on? She was in as usual. Terry, I'm not up on that name. What's going on Terry? What's going on?
Leola Whitley keys go head on Somebody said it is sure a fool of DC. But beautiful. I'ma tell y'all These big banners of Trump hanging in around in DC is the creepiest mess ever I Said it the last time was the last time I was in DC like March May something like that the
It's just weird. It's just weird. His face on banners and it's not a pretty face. It's not like you're looking at Idris or something. He just got his face on banners all around DC. I mean, around the capital and that kind of stuff. You know, to my like, thank Trump. And I'm telling y'all, before I leave, I'm going over by the Kennedy Center because I want to see if that tarp is still up.
Oh, covering up the John F Kennedy name because, as you know, this man is throwing a temper tantrum because he cannot have his name on the building. In fact, Pating, and I'm super excited. I know I'm going to one of the sessions with Congresswoman Joyce Beatty, who is my sorrow. I remember that same thing. But Joyce Beatty is the congressional member that sits on the.
John of Kenny directors and she was the one that took the lawsuit to get Trump's name removed from the building because as everyone now knows it takes a act of Congress to be able to add or remove a name because.
So Joyce Beatty, uh, Congresswoman Beatty, let me say it correctly, Congresswoman Beatty, she filed a lawsuit. So yesterday or the day before she was talking about the fact that they were on a board meeting call and Donald Trump was on the call. And it went in.
and called her dumb, said she had never accomplished anything in her life before. She hadn't done anything of significance, but he was this and he was that. And I don't know if, and I'm gonna see if we can find the interview that she did on MSNOW with Simone's session yesterday. I missed it. I didn't get in in time for the session that they did yesterday, but
She, um, said that she was like, no, you're not going to talk crazy to me. So he told her, you know, like, uh, she was, she was dumb or whatever. She was like, you don't want to have five bankruptcy five times. Like this was being said in the meeting. She told Donald Trump, you file bankruptcy five times. And he said, if anything falls and breaks and kills somebody in the Kennedy center,
I'm gonna make sure you're personally she was like you kill in this illegal war you got going on when I tell you she was tipped for tat on his head and I know he wasn't ready for it I know he wasn't used to it because nobody ever comes back nobody ever shoots back at him when he talking reckless and crazy to them so
applaud sister are you know doing her thing because you remember when she won the lawsuit to make his name come down she was making fun of him doing that trump dance well I know when she walks in CBC that woman is going to get standing ovations
And every room that goes in is here this weekend. And that's that kind of fight. That's that kind of presence that's required. And I see we got a caller. I'm coming y'all. But that's that kind of fight. That's that kind of presence. And I'm going to just be honest. It's been systems that's been coming for him directly. Like I'm not, I'm not talking about what you say, committee meeting. I'm talking about to his face. You out of order.
You raggedy and I don't know who you talking to, but you're not talking to me. I don't know what you used to, but I'm not it. And when she said, yeah, you the one of our bankruptcy five times and look at what's happening with our economy right now. And this little, his raggedy businesses, and he was basically not doing well before the TV show, the apprentice started.
What do I always say the guy who said when they did the apprentice they had to actually create a studio for him Office looking area because his offices were so shabby looking. There's like we can't use this This doesn't look like wealth and high power. So all of it was a facade that they made up to sell to the public but and I think about when Meach would call in and try to make it sound like Donald Trump was something
You know genius because he was using business strategy No real people use bankruptcy as a business strategy five times You might need to use it once to regroup and reorganize and get yourself out of trouble God forbid you need to use it twice, but five times. No, you just incompetent you just stupid with money and the fact that you spending hundreds of millions of dollars on a ballroom
on a plane that does not work for real, that cannot secure you. They got to put you on a catering truck to get you to save. You said for the catering truck that you was on the damn airplane. You know, you spend money like water and you silly. So yes, I cannot wait to see Congresswoman Beatty. It is going to be hilarious when she comes in the room, steps to the mic and
It does. It just feels creepy to some extent here in DC. Caller. Yes, ma'am. All right, let's go to the phone line. Hey, Caller, what's happening? I just got to tell you good morning, and I love you. Hey, Solis, how you doing this morning, sis? Hi. Can you hear me? Yes, ma'am, I can hear you. Yeah. All right, you have a safe trip, and thank you for all that you do. I love you.
Thank I'm looking online somebody say yeah, she matched that energy And then I just We just need more of it. We need more people pushing back directly in his face. You know, you got to start calling out this crazy Because your main shared a video with me that evidently was played at this Republican, you know meeting all of this was from the convention, but when
The video talks about that God created Trump to be able to come in and save the world and the world economy. They played the video. I don't know how long the video is. I'm wondering if we should play the video. It's kind of long, right? No, it ain't that long. I want to say about.
Probably about two or three minutes. Yeah. Yeah, then we should we should we should play the video because I just want people to hear what cuckoo for Cocoa Puff sounds like if they didn't get an opportunity. So let's do this. Let's go to commercial break and Jay, is it possible for you to play it on your end? Yeah, I can. Yeah, I'll play on my end. I got you. Come back. We'll play the video of Donald Trump that was made, you know, that
another savior was brought to save the world. Jesus Christ II has rolled in with his brunette slash blouse slash tape on hair was rolled in to save to save the you know, humankind. Okay, let me let me go to break Michelle Bronson, you know, VA 68106.5 FM will be right back y'all.
So, I am talking about none other than Dwayne Davis, known as Keefy Dee out here in these streets, who, you know, has bragged and talked about for years that he orchestrated two Poxa Coors death.
in retaliation for a beat down that was suffered by his nephew. And it's so funny because you know, you out here in these streets trying to sell a book, you want some street cred. I mean, I did it. You openly talk about, yeah, I had some done to him. I handed off the gun to get you know, to take them out. And it's like, so you said all of that. And then when these folks
30 years later because it is 30 years that Pac has been dead that boy was only what 25 26 when he got killed 36 right now Okay, okay, no start that No, you know But you
You spent all this time, you know, when on shows, telling people, I did it, I did it. And then when they look at you and say, yeah, you about to catch this life in jail and you owe down, now you're looking crazy to my, I was just trying to get, you know, some publicity. I was trying to sell my book. No, bro, you're going to... Tomorrow is the 25th anniversary of 9-11.
Donald Trump has been lying his whole life about his actions on 9 11. Donald Trump. First of all, he lied and said he went to a whole bunch of memorial services for his friends. No one can document any memorial service that Donald Trump publicly attended for anybody. Nobody can document one. There are no pictures. There's no signing guest book.
There's no video folks coming in and out. There's nobody that can put him at. Oh, I lost hundreds of friends in 9 11 and I went to so many more. Nobody can document any of it. And so his nephew, Fred Trump, the third. Came out and said, I just can't take it no more. Now I don't try to hold my peace with this man. He is lying.
He completely disputes. He said, did you want even there? Like you are completely. They said. Some people said, why did you even say something for it? He said, quote, it so offends me that I need to speak out and clear the air regarding the exaggerated or false narratives.
Fact checkers and reports from outlets like people noted that there is no evidence supporting Trump's version of events While the liars in the White House Defended the statement as a reflection of experiences during a city-wide crisis. What kind of wire salad is that?
fix this country, work all day, fight the Marxists, eat supper, then go to the Oval Office and stay past midnight at a meeting of the heads of state, so God may drop. I need somebody with arms, strong enough to bustle the deep state, and yet gentle enough to deliver his own grandchild, somebody to ruffle the feathers. Tame Cantankara's World Economic Forum, come home hungry.
I have to wait until the first lady is done with lunch with friends. Then tell the ladies to be sure and come back real soon. And meet it. So God gave us Trump. I need somebody who can shape an axe, but wield a sword. Who had the courage to step foot in North Korea. Who can make money from the jar of the sand. Turn liquid to gold. Who?
understands the difference between tariffs and inflation, will finish his 40 hour week by Tuesday noon, but then put in another 72 hours. So God made Trump. God had to have somebody willing to go into the den of Vipers, call out the fake news for their tongues as sharp as a serpent's. The poison of Vipers is on their lips, and yet stop. So God made Trump. God said,
I need somebody who will be strong and courageous, who will not be afraid or terrified of the wolves when they attack, a man who cares for the flock, a shepherd to mankind who will never leave nor forsake them. I need the most diligent worker to follow the path and remain strong in faith, and know the belief of God and country, somebody who is willing to drill.
Bring back manufacturing and American jobs Farm the lands Secure our borders Build our military Fight the system all day And finish a hard week's work By attending church on Sunday And then his oldest son turns and says Dad, let's make America great again Dad, let's build back a country To be the envy of the world again So God made Trump
So, uh, first of all, let me just acknowledge that, um,
slow on Facebook, YouTube. You guys, I'm sorry. I'm not using the computer I use when I was in the vineyard. I got to go buy it. It looks like a Mac. It seems like that is the one that works the best. Even though I love my Lenovo, which I'll say, I apologize if that is kind of lagging a bit on Facebook. Today is my only day doing the show. So, you know, we don't have to bear through it. But Jay, thank you for playing that clip.
You know, when you listen to it, people were texting me that we're listening and they said, yeah, I told you. I told you and and and I wanted to actually chime in. And when you were talking about in DC, how he has his picture all around. Now, what he's doing is he's he's brainwashing the people because if you see it.
You hear it, it's imprinted into your brain, it's imprinted into your heart. So what he's doing is he's kind of bringing people in. Like he kind of give me like this. Like you said, he's grooming them. He's conditioning them. There you go. I am your leader. You're used to seeing my face. I am what you know. And you know, making it so that.
you get completely comfortable with the idea of him being the supreme leader. I mean, like this mess is madness and these people are watching this. I'm like, y'all know better. Yeah, crazy. We know better. I had to say, you know, that people need to go back and remember why this country ends up being founded, why folks flee where they were living and go, you know, explore land and come over here and, um,
are looking for a different form of governance because they didn't want a king. They didn't want one religion to dominate. And this was the only thing that everyone had to deal with. So we're on this slippery slope. And quite frankly, we slide. We still got two years left of this madness. And this man seems like.
You get sicker and more diluto every day who he is but just real quick and I know I got a caller but it was one line in there where it says He finishes a 40-hour day And he drew another 70 Somebody can't count But this is a whole website that is dedicated to tracking
how much time he spends on the golf course. It is like literally you do so little that you are on the golf course to the point that people created a tracker go to in real time and how many times a day a week, I should say Donald Trump is at one of his golf properties and someone playing golf and cheating on golf scores. Let me go to the phone line. Hey, caller. What's happening?
Hey, good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning.
You talking about them going rogue or what do you mean? Yesterday I am I am perturbed. This is this is stuff that we have seen on movies and now this stuff is like coming to it doesn't even really compute makes sense, but it's freaking me out. I don't know about nobody else.
Well, I think rightfully so, and I haven't spent time talking about it yet. I certainly plan to just. And thank you, sis. Thanks for the call. I was looking to see what all of the different players were going to say. So, you know, we've seen different leaders of different AI development companies, organizations, engineers that have been working on it.
That are, you know, it's trickling in saying, look, we got there needs to be some oversight regulation. We do need to have kill switches, if you will, to stop programs from or bots, you know, from taking over these systems, disabling our ability to stop what they're doing. Yeah, you know, people were blown away.
The guy who was working with one of the, the AI companies right before they went to a public offering, he came out and said, Hey, this is a problem. It is unsafe. And I think he was the one that first said, you know, we can see the end of human human kind as a decade because of the capabilities.
this technology is moving faster than we are prepared to deal with. And there are not enough, and then you remember one of the contractors who was working with the Department of Defense, one of the things that he was saying is that you got to control a Pete Hex FNM. They're trying to do stuff that we really should not be doing. We got to be responsible with the way we use this technology. And it has the ability to overtake our very
the very basic way we do business and talking about whether or not it could crash banking systems. It could set off a nuclear situation without fail, whether it's Bill Gates or a number of the other players, people are coming to the table and they're saying out loud what the college has said is one of the fears.
Because one of the things we used to always say in the legislative law catches up with technology, usually five, 10 years down the road. It's already out the bag before legislators start talking about it. And then just real quick before I go to the caller, I was watching something yesterday when they were talking about like kind of the aging population that makes up Congress. So you got.
75 years old, 80 years old, one guy who was running the committee, he was dang near almost 90 years old. Or I think I take it back. He might have been 93. If I heard them talk about this, right? He might have been like 93 years old. That's in Congress. Right now, running it. And when a lot of the the.
Software guys came in tech guys came in for committee hearings. They were like asking him like I don't know how to do something on my iPhone. Can you tell me how to do it? The point being is that you Have led just older
that are not in tune with technology that don't understand how all this stuff works. But these are people that are making regulatory decisions or legislative decisions about what we're going to do. So you have people who don't understand the technology in the room. And there's stuff that my grandson does that my son
is looking at my grandson, and I ask my son, because I'm not going to ask seven-year-old how you do that. I ask my son. And my son be like, man, I don't know. You know? Well, you ask him. And so my son will have to be like, hey, hey, Atlas, take this mess off my phone. How did you do that? Jay, I see you look. You want to say something? Yeah. Listen, I hear Trump saying that this whole AI stuff is a hoax and everything like that.
So what I'm trying to get people to understand is Trump is 80 years old. So if if Setting up for the future 10 20 years down the line These people that are in office that's making decisions that don't understand AI is not going to be around You are not going to be alive if you 90 years old 20 years from now you'll be 110 so it's it's like
So they make decisions for the people that's still going to be here, knowing that their lifespan is trickling down, that it's almost over. Well, and I think the one thing about the Trump piece, though, is that he has access in a way that even if he doesn't understand it, it's people around him that do.
They do understand and the tech people themselves if they are you know telling the truth and being forthright they can He doesn't want to hear it. It's like all of the rollbacks on the environmental protection agency You know that cold And some of the things that's happening are harmful to the environment. Yeah, and that those things end up triggering weather Situations all kinds of stuff, but you don't want to hear You don't want to hear
Because, hey, some of this is monetary. Donald Trump a lot has been made in the tech realm right now. So whether it is Bitcoin or, you know, some of these other products that are out there that his family is latching onto, he making more money. This man probably is, like I said, they just said he made $2.2 billion since he'd been back in office.
In two years, he's made 2.2 billion with the B dollars. This is more money and in his son, $330 million, you know, in the last two years. This is more money than these people had. So money, having a lot of their decisions, make no mistake about it. Do I still have another caller? Yes, ma'am. All right, let's get them in. Hey, caller, what's happening? Good, good.
Yeah, I remember when I was real young, they used to have like a China, uh, Cuba with, with, uh, Kardashians, you know, what they would do, they would have a big billboard over downtown city and they would have commands over people all day and all night, constantly. And you know, if you tell yourself enough days, enough time, it'll transfer from your conscious mind to your self-conscious mind.
That's how they would start to control the people. My wife. This is what Trump is trying to do. No, no disagreement, bro. Thank you for making that court that comparison. I think it's spot on. You know, you.
The remains point, I mean, stuff out in the atmosphere about the possibility of a third term or, you know, I'm the only one that can save us. All of this stuff is intended by design to begin to condition people to accept what these people are pushing. So thank you, bro. I appreciate that you spot on with that. I'm just going to say that the level of division I was talking to my
Driver. Oh, let me say this. Let me say this. Let me say this So anybody that you know listens to the show, but you watch on YouTube Facebook, you know, I wear braids and Right before I got ready to come out. I want to go get my hair rebranded and I'm the the woman who braids my hair She is Real chill. I see you real chill easy going
And her mood was off a little bit yesterday. She was, you know, somber. And when we come back, I want to tell you about the quick conversation that I had with her, because as I have been saying, we all just kind of look, and it's like, oh, it's them, them being Mexicans. Oh, it's them, some other group.
And I said, we will definitely, when the people that are being harassed and removed from this country that are not violent offenders, that have not broken any laws, are going to be people who look like us. I'll tell you about it on the other side. Michelle Barnes of UNOV, 860 AM, on the 6.5 FM, I'll be right back.
Sell you lie. All right. Thank you. I appreciate it. Listen. Are you gonna share? Oh This bacon I can't do it That bite you took it looks scrumptious 32 dollars I can't shit It looks like it cost 32 dollars in your mouth
Well, I was thinking of another piece. Oh, man. Way to wait. Good teamwork, Clark. This make it cost too much money, honey. Uh-uh. Uh-uh. Let me, let me, let me, let me. Pass that fake you through AI or something, man. So now that I am back. Well, welcome back. So let me just tell y'all real quick what I was getting ready to say. So.
After the salon give my hair braided and I talked to The sister Who seemed rather somber, you know, I'm like well, this is not normally like her like what's going on and she said I Need some help and I said what's happening and she said So I've received a letter
report to an immigration meeting. And so I'm asking questions, because I've never asked these questions before. The only thing, I don't even think that she knows that I do talk radio. I think she really understands. But I've never thought that she understood that I worked in politics or anything, because we just don't have those kind of conversations. We talk about just running a meal every day stuff.
But it was funny. A David Crawley commercial came on the television while she was doing my hair. And she said, I like him. We like him. In fact, she said, we love him. And I said, oh, really? I said, why? And she said, he just seems like a really good man, you know, and they liked the pictures with or the video with him and his family.
in his children, she said, but other things that he said, husband likes him too. My husband says he's a good guy. And so she continues, you know, with talking and so I'm asking questions that I've never asked her before. So I, you know, ask her like, what country are you from? She tells me. And then I said, you know, well, how did you come to the US? She said, I came on a work visa.
And I said, did you overstay it? And she was like, no, she showed me her documentation. She showed me her car. I had never even seen a person like the working immigration card. I had never even seen, actually held one of those. She showed it to me. She has a driver's license. And while she has been on these work visas, she ended up meeting a person.
uh brother and they ended up getting married and now they have children they've bought on home she said to me she said Michelle these people are getting ready to put me out of this country she said the way the guy was talking to her because she had called you know like what is going on with this letter what is this about and she said the person who talked to her real rough and
that basically they didn't believe that her marriage was a real marriage. And she said, well, my husband and I will be there for the appointment. And they told her, no, don't bring your husband. You come by yourself. And when I tell you, you can see the fear rise. And she was, you know, she's.
Michelle I've never done anything to anybody I play by all the rules. I've done everything I was supposed to I've never I've never gotten a ticket, you know, I've never had any interaction other than work and doing what I'm supposed To do why would they be doing this and you know, I had to get up Out the chair and I had to hug her and you know, I told her I would reach out to some immigration lawyers that I know to see if there's
anything that anybody should be aware of on the front end before she goes to this appointment. And definitely so that people will know what's going on with her, you know, should she be detained by ICE. But just the idea that you came in the country the correct way, you have all your documentation, you did what you were asked to do, only to now have somebody tell you, we think
the marriages you know like well how do you explain all these kids and everything that we've done and built um if anybody just pays attention you can see we're a regular functioning couple um and it's not like um you know there's no pay to play or just anything crazy and my heart broke for this sister yesterday because just one of the hardest working people you know that I've seen and
Just like that, your life can be upended. And when they tell her, don't bring your husband, come along, that I know, because it sent the chill through me when she said it to me. So this stuff is going to touch people in ways that we hadn't really thought about. When we kind of sitting back like, good for some of these people, that's what they get.
Look, people deserve an opportunity to create a better life for themselves in their situations. People have fled other countries that had, you know, a lot of violence and turmoil, countries that were not thriving, that were not safe, not safe for women in particular. The majority, the way, except for African Americans and indigenous people, everybody else that came to this country came.
to this country looking for a better way of life. This country was first being found. These people today are doing nothing no different than the people did who founded this country after they stole the land and killed off, you know, half of the people that was here. And so I just need to say that loud. I can't even imagine if they like literally detain this woman.
But I know when we went to Martha's Vineyard and I'm coming because I know I got callers when we went to Martha's Vineyard, you know, we made a point To go look for the brother who had a restaurant I think he's Jamaica and he got picked up by ice Somewhere else and they detained this man for months Even though he was here legally and then finally they were able to secure his freedom and he got out and people
kept the restaurant running and going while he was incarcerated, but this man, I mean, he didn't detain, but this man could literally have lost everything because they had him for months and he hadn't done anything wrong. We've even now found out there have been American citizens who've gotten caught up in this and it's taken months to get them back home safely, reported out of the had to get them back and brought back into the country.
Let me go to the fall line. Hey, caller. What's happening? Good morning. Good morning. I'm really, really impressed with you and have been for the longest because you bring stuff up to date. Like that encounter you just had with your address or whatever. Yes. Anytime I run into anybody who might be falling.
I asked him about ice. They joke about it, but that's real. Another thing I want to say to you, personally, as the Reverend Dr. Andrew Ward, I want you to get it down off that swine and keep that fork off your fork. You have a good one. Yes, sir, I will. I'm going to do that. Thank you. I keep trying to take him and, you know,
I don't eat it every, you know, on a regular basis. I don't even eat meat on a regular basis. Um, but I hear you, I hear you, but I'm sorry. I love bacon. Um, let me go to the next car. I just say, vice is made. So, you know, I eat bacon. I mean, it, it, I, but I hear you, I hear, you know, but I'm not a glutton. You know, it's not like,
three, four, five, ten pieces, and it's not every day. Well, I think if you eat it in moderation and give your body time to process and release it, you should be okay. That ain't what the nation says. That ain't what the nation says. Damn what the nation says. I say... Oh, my God. William Muhammad is on his way up to the top of his head. He's gonna push me right in my throat.
You did not say this. I won't make it. I won't make it. I won't make it. Good. Oh, and let me do this. Let me do this because I always see the brothers from the nation of Islam. I sell in the newspapers and yesterday I was on my way to the airport and came find the lack because I see my.
So I wanted the brothers on Fond du Lac and you know, they know me when they see me, you know, the red Jeep give me away every time, but they know me and I always stop and get a paper and I had to like kind of wave because I was rushing to get to the airport. So for the brothers in the nation that listen, let you know, I was intentionally yesterday. I was rushing to get to the airport and trying to, trying to take care of.
not being on another flight because I had missed my flight. We got another call of Jay? Yes ma'am. Let's get a man. Hey caller, what's happening? Well, good morning Miss Michelle Bryant. Good morning, good morning. So, uh, enjoy your little day off.
This ain't no day off. What you talking about? How do you call into the radio station talking to me right now and talking about a damn day off? Depends on the day off from us. That's what it is. I don't get no respect. I don't get no respect. It didn't go to a little day off. I know how Keith feels now. Oh please, keep taking a whole year off because that's crap. But in a way...
Good morning gentlemen. Good morning there sir. Yes Michelle. You know I was reading an article in a Sunday's journal. Okay. And that's the fast check article about David Crowdy. Now Tom Tiffany coming up today's David Crowdy because of an air mate
I believe in the county jail or the house correction. Yes. They have misused the tablet. Yes. Now, I'm thinking to myself, back in 2022, the sheriff department asked for the contract for the tablets because the inmates was being ripped off using the phone system. The family is being ripped off with a charge of about $25 or $30 for 15 minutes or 20 minutes on the phone. And plus they had to stand in line and wait. They turn.
So the Sheriff Department say, well, let's try some tablets because it'd be more cost effective. And that's a hassle in the family that's trying to hear from the people that's locked up, you know, in the county jail. So the Sheriff Department applied for a contract with this company and the Board of Supervisors approved it and county executive David Crowley just found out on it. Now, Tom Chipp is going around saying, well, David, it's David Crowley's fault because there's one inmate in 2026.
out of all the thousands of inmates be using those tablets since 2022, all of a sudden this inmate in 2026 misuse of tablets by intimidating the witnesses or something like that. And then you kind of find out that the company that provides the service for the tablets, the inmates can access the internet. They just have to use their program, whatever they have a prime for the inmates, which is so they can keep in contact with the family and with the attorney and legal services and some types of entertainment.
So they come out and made it to witness. He would look at child pornography and all this kind of stuff on the tablet. And then they try to blame all that on David Crawley. I said, hello, can these Nazi Republicans make a Republican's goal?
This only September 17th. We got to get to November 3rd. They will do, they're going to do everything. And thank you, JT. I appreciate you bringing that up. Thank you, Michelle. Enjoy yourself and have a good day. For folks that didn't catch it, Derrick Rose, I love Derrick Rose over at Channel 12, probably one of the best things going on at Channel 12. But Derrick Rose did a interview in which he wanted to get to the bottom of, you know, what can these
Tablets really do to the point JT is making maybe where JT is even pulling some of his source of information and one of the things that you know again They found out no you don't have access to be able to just go on the internet and you don't have access to be able to just call whoever you want to call and Engage people and her so
And then the system even caught what went on. So just so people are clear, there were two brothers that were the center of the story. And in one case, one of the brothers attempted to make or 1500 and 35 phone calls was accuser in a demand using jailhouse phones.
phones not tablets phones the records also said that this individual Used the video calling system in the jail to contact the same woman Both of those communication avenues are separate tablet program have anything to do with the tablet The other thing
is that the records from the jail show that the officials flag for threatening messages sent to a third party on one of the tablets back in May. The records don't actual recipient of the messages, but said one of them, one of the threats directly references a Milwaukee police officer who testified at a hearing. So the way Tiffany and him to JT's point have tried to portray this and paint this is that
David Crawley's crime and, you know, he directly was responsible for anything that went on. And so if you haven't seen it, you definitely want to take a look at this because I'm familiar with these tablets. We've known about them for a while. We know what kind of access that they have. And the way that it was painted, but I'm just telling y'all, y'all better brace yourself.
When I say this thing only gets worse before it gets better, it's going to get so much more aggressive. I'm waiting on a tax on David's family. I'm waiting on. You know, because they got to find something. They got to find Michelle Bronson of the NOV, A6CAM, on the 6.5 FM family. I'll be right back.
you are in news. I'm Evan, the Federal Reserve is raising interest rates for the first time in more than three years, delivering another blow to Americans already struggling with high prices. The Fed unanimously approved a quarter point increase, lifting its benchmark rate to a range of 3.75 to 4%. Officials say inflation remains too high and the economy continues to grow at a solid pace. For consumers, the message is simple. Borrowing could become more expensive. Credit card rates
may climb quickly while car loans, personal loans, and some mortgages could also remain painfully high. Savers may earn slightly better returns. Decisions also defies the president's repeated demands for lower rates. Fed Chair Kevin Warsh, Trump's own appointee, is signaling that controlling inflation takes priority even when the midterm elections are approaching. For AUR and News, I'm Ebony McMorris.

Hi, I'm Denise, and this is your Civic Minute. The United States produces more oil than any country on Earth. It also imports over 6 million barrels a day. Both of those things are true at the same time, and here's why. The oil America drills is mostly light and sweet, low sulfur, easy to refine, but about 70% of our refineries were built decades ago to process heavy sewer crude. The thick high sulfur oil from Canada, the Middle East, and Venezuela. So we export our oil to refineries.
overseas that can use it, and we import the heavy crude our own refineries were designed for. It sounds absurd, but retooling a single refinery to switch crit types costs hundreds of millions of dollars and takes years. So instead, we trade. That's why energy independence is misleading. We have plenty of oil. It's
Just not the right oil for our own refineries, and even if it were, the price is still set on a world market. That's your Civic Minute. Find more at CivicMedia.us. Hi, I'm Dr. Eve Hall, President and CEO of the Greater Milwaukee Urban League.

We live, sir. Can you hear us? Yes, I can. We live. Oh, all right. I'm sorry. Welcome back. Welcome back. Hey, family. I was checking some notes while I was during the break.
I am doing the show from DC this morning out here for Congressional Black Caucuses.
annual legislations, they're actually celebrating 55 years. And, you know, for folks that remember the movie about Shirley Chisholm back in 1972, Shirley Chisholm, one of the founding members of the Congressional Black Caucus. I think back in the day they had 12 members now they're up to
61, looks that looks like we come out of these midterm elections and heading back into the next year. So that's what I'm out here doing. But I know I got a couple of callers left and I got some guests in the studio. So let me clear out the phone line first. Hey, caller, what's happening?
I'm sorry. Sorry. Okay. Wait. Okay. I apologize about that. Um, this is what I was saying due to the one debate being on October 21st, what is early voting and mail in voting have started by then? And is that a star tactic the time Tiffany? Oh, for sure. Early voting. Um, in fact, mail in ballots has already started.
People should have them in hand by today. If you were already signed up to get it a mail-in ballot, you should have it by today. So early voting already started and I'll pull the date because I have it for when early in person starts. And so what's your question about how does that impact them? What was the other part? Because Tom Tiffany didn't want to do two debates. I want to do one. So the only one is on October 21st. So isn't that like a star tactic?
Yeah, no, make no mistake. These people are only going to do one one debate has become the standard. Whether it has been the Supreme Court, whether it was mayoral races, even amongst Democrats, you wouldn't see when we get down, you know, a certain multiple debates only because we had so many Democrats in the the
The primary, did you see all of these debates? Everybody fighting for opportunity to be heard. But it is becoming, unfortunately, the political norm to do one debate now. It is a disgusting practice. I don't know why we let these elected officials and these candidates get away with this mess. But that has become, they are dictating how many times the public can hear from them. It's craziness to me.
All right. Have a good day. Yes, ma'am. Thank you. And the other thing, you know, concern that I raised was that I didn't understand why the debate was happening on October 21st, which is the same night as the Bucks opener. It's not, it's the season opener. It's not the home opener, but it's the season opener. And the game actually starts before the debate. I'm like, come on. So one of the things that we're doing, we are doing a debate watch party. Make sure that you guys get that info.
information. Everything is out. Hang out with and watch the beginning part of the books game. We'll switch over to the debate. Uh, we'll get more information, but a number of groups are coming together to make that happen so we can all stay informed. Let me get another the last caller in. Hey, caller. What's happening? No more calls. Yeah. All right.
Hey, cool. All right, then. I'm pleased to welcome you this morning. I'll be video for me. But I see you put a suit jacket on for me. What? And Nicholas. What's Nicholas? I'm trying to remember Nicholas. Nicholas X. Doherty.
But you know, yeah, yes, you know, it's another name that folks in the community know this brother by so we'll stop. That's right. That's right. We'll we'll get that out there. But good morning, fellas. How y'all doing this morning? Morning. Great. Well, I am sorry that I'm not.
Video to join you both through this morning. I'm loving the blazers You know, I would have had to dress up to be with you guys this morning We feel like big shots because you're calling in from DC, you know We got that work
Well, it's working, it's working. So Emilio, many people that listen to my show on a regular basis should certainly know your name and be familiar with you, but for those that may not be familiar with me, and we know that you can kind of internationalize from all over the place around the country, in a couple countries. So introduce yourself to people, tell them what you do, what that title is over at the Turner's, and we'll have Nicholas do the same thing.
Sure, my name is Emilio de Torre. I'm the executive director of the Milwaukee Turners. We are the oldest civic society in the city of Milwaukee, if not the state. We were founded in 1853 by immigrants and refugees and abolitionists. We do a lot of community and civic engagement.
We do, we help to program some 16 parks across the county with free Zumba and yoga and Tai Chi. And we do a lot of advocacy and work on confronting mass incarceration, racial equity. And our headquarters is over there at Turner Hall. So it's the People's Hall over there right across from the FISERF. And Nicholas, your role over at Turner's.
So I serve as the confront mass incarceration coordinator. Essentially what we do is we monitor the legal and political landscape looking for those issues that most affect the black community. And I don't think there's a city more in need of confront mass incarceration in Milwaukee as we have area code known as 5-3-2-0-6 that is known for incarcerating his black population more than anywhere else in the country.
That's kind of what we do right now. We've been focused in our over policing as you know surveillance Mass surveillance is a form of over policing. It's not newest and historic form of over policing But it's continuing on today in a technological form
Well, look, that decision at hand today is so funny. Emilio and I, we see each other at different events or paths cross. And, you know, like this topic will come up, that topic will come up, but always in the background for, you know, most of our recent encounters, the sole issue of surveillance.
and flock cameras in particular have, you know, festered in the background. We've seen some movement, both pro and con in relationship to flock cameras. So, Emilio, I'm going to turn it over to you for a second just to kind of bring the community up to speed on where the turners and concerns specifically have. Sure.
You know, we the turners view this hang on one second. Um, you got it your man Close the door. I can hear Doug all the way All the way in DC
I'm sorry. Go ahead, Amelia. No, that's good. You know, the Turner's view, this is just another instrument in over-policing in the community. You know, flock cameras are just another tool in the arsenal to create like an open-air prison. You got ankle monitors. You got facial recognition technology that we successfully fought against. You've got drones. You've got the Marquis Police Department having about 40% of the city's budget with all the problems going wrong. We just keep doubling down on that ship.
Um and flock cameras are a system of cameras which are AI powered which are track in 24 seven clock and license plates creating patterns of of Habits seeing where you go picking you up and they get integrated in the broader system of video and other things So it's like warrantless mass surveillance. It's a it's a supposition of guilt And if you take a look you can see exactly what neighborhoods they're concentrated and I don't need to spell that out there and
uh old woman pratt's district um old man jackson's district all scattered up and down and another big scary part of this is there's there's limited regulation you have uh police departments and sheriff's departments cancelling them because this data is being accessed by the federal government by ice uh there have been accusations of
of the data being sold off to different companies. And this data is not just DATA. This data is your life. This is where you're going, when you go there, what kind of time you're spending there, what kind of car you're driving. It's insidious. It's very much a big brother operation. We have a chance to stop it tonight at the Fire and Police Commission at 530 if folks show up.
So, wait, hold on one sec. So, let's do this. Let me take a quick break. When we come back, we want to talk about the opportunity for folks to weigh in, you know, and I'm going to just tell you the one thing about you is that as fast as I do. And so you roll through a lot of stuff, but I want to make sure I put it back for just a second so that you know, no, no, no, I like it. I like it. You know, I'm right there with you, but I do because of the significance of what we're talking about. I want people to really understand some.
the things that you said that these have the ability to do. Information is being used. We'll tie it in. Nicholas, when you talk about over-policing, over-incarceration, systemic issues, how all that plays out, particularly for communities of color. So let me do this. Let me take a quick commercial break. Michelle Barnes of UNO, V-H-C-A-M, 6.5 FM, break that.

This celebration of America's 250th birthday is sponsored by Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewage District, the place for your hazmat program. Miller Brewing Company. It was 1855 when German immigrant Frederick Miller purchased a small struggling brewery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Armed with a special brewer's yeast, he carried directly from Europe. Miller transformed that modest operation into a powerhouse, surviving the staggering challenges of prohibition and multiple world wars.
the Miller Brewing Company constantly adapted without ever sacrificing its rich signature flavor. By later introducing the revolutionary Miller Life, they single-handedly ignited the massive modern light beer movement. Today, from corner taverns to bustling stadiums, Miller Brewing doesn't just pour a beverage. It has crafted an enduring, unifying American tradition that brings millions together, proudly raising a glass to celebrate the simple golden joys of everyday life.
is right for us. Brownie raised in Milwaukee and now raising three daughters here with his wife. David Crowley understands the many pressures families are facing. That's why County Executive David Crowley is focused on the basics. Crowley is a plan to lower the cost of housing and property taxes, cut utility bills, improve our schools, and pay neighborhood safer. But Washington Congressman Tom Tiffany has a very different agenda. Tiffany is a mega extremist. We had a hundred percent voting record with Trump.
In Congress, Tiffany voted to cut social security services and Medicare. And Tiffany backed legislation to ban abortion, with no exception for rape, incest, or the life of the mother. So whose plan makes your life better? Congressman Tiffany's mega agenda? Well, David Crowley's plan to lower costs and improve our schools. Paid for by Protect All Wisconsin.

you
Are we back? Yeah, we lie. All right. Thank you. I appreciate it. So look, folks, before we went to the break, I was just taking a moment. Ask Emilio to slow. When we talk about.
helping people shade the endless because it's you know it's one thing to tell people that this is bad come out we want to talk about it but there's this one tech website that I use for a lot of stories called wired and wired recently reported that there were a group of hackers who actually are down off of some infrastructure in their community and they hacked into it
And one of the things that they found is that the single device that they had taken down, they captured 6.6 million vehicles in 21 days. 50,000 vehicles were surveilled in 21 days, 1.6 million images. And they didn't just catch
You know, you see people walking in those shots. You see bicyclists. Those cameras were able to zoom in even on bumper stickers. One car could generate 10 to 20 different photos of different angles of that car.
So this isn't just about, oh, the only thing that these cameras are reading is your license plate. They are reading everything that is going on in that environment in that moment. Pick it up from there, Emilio, for me. It's terrifying what they're doing when you think about the scope, Michelle.
and you got to look at this in the context of this is just one tool in their tool belt because they're integrating this with everything else they've got that's just one model of flock camera they have different kinds that can take continuous video they've got other companies like axon that have rolling continuous video
Who gets to see that? Who gets to access that? We had examples here in Milwaukee where a former MPD officer, Josue Ayala, used that 179 times to track his love interest.
And the internal affairs detective, Torangi Chapman, that was supposed to be investigating him for wrongful use, was also using that technology to track his love interests. So you're given folks incredibly powerful tools that are creating a pattern of their life, documenting where they're going, who they're talking to. There was another interesting website called 404Media, which I like to look at in conjunction with Wired. And there was an engineer.
about named Ben Jordan who took some down, or he actually found that they were unencrypted and that he could just access that data from where he was near the flock camera. And he found videos on there of couples in a market in Atlanta. He could identify who they were using commercially available facial recognition technology, see that they had just had a baby, that they had just come to Atlanta after church, they were shopping.
It isn't just the flock camera. It's a system of surveillance and the sick need to know where you are, what you're doing, who you are, what you're thinking. And if you step out of line, punish you. And so today, I think I might have come across some of the same articles they were talking about in Alfreda, Georgia, or Alfreda, depending on, you know, how you pronounce it, that there were they could document at least 2000 different agencies that could get access.
to what was contained on these flocks. And this a lot sold to all these different agencies. You know, like so, and flock is actually based in Georgia. The company itself is actually based down in Georgia. So you're getting even more information out of Georgia regarding what's going on. But when you talk about the neighborhoods and you said, Emilio, you know, I don't really have to say which neighborhoods they're going into. Oh, they're right out the window. They're up and down capital drive.
So let's bring in Nick for a second on this, this aspect of it when we talk about, you know, who's being surveilled, what's being seen, and is there a disproportionate impact on the African-American? Well, I wanted to mention, if I may first, that in that article, they also mentioned that they the flock cameras also can access commercial data. So what do you mean by that?
commercial data so so like you know we got all these apps on our phones right and when you download these apps right um they collect data on you right and nobody's reading the the usage terms so you download the app and they connect all this that they collect all this data on you right and then you probably got your location on because you probably use GPS when you drive right so as you're driving right it's pinging your location right and all these businesses are capturing your data
You know, and this is how they it's called surveillance capitalism. This is how they they pinpoint or they target you for advertisement You give it I'm saying so this is how they know you're just for advertisement Yeah, and not just for advertisement because one of the things I
And bringing up they found out that folks in the Israeli Community that supported particular messaging getting the people they were doing that with folks going in and out of churches and they were targeting particular churches to be able to send ads and messaging their way to influence how they saw something And so they could use they could use that that data to identify you but so that I'm gonna go back to who's talking offline a little bit
and I want to bring it into a historical context though. So surveillance is nothing new in America, right? So we have in our origin of policing, slave catching, right? So we have slave capture, they'd be bounty hunters and their sole duty was to surveil the black community. Their sole duty was to monitor the movement of so-called slaves. And then you get
laws and policy, right? You get fugitive slave laws and these type of things. So this is very much a black issue. And then it's also a non-white issue because you see the same thing happen with our Latino and our immigrant family, right? So immediately you see these same laws being passed to surveil the movement of our Latino or immigrant communities. So this technology
Well, before it was, you know, paper, actual person surveilling these things, right? Now they just switched it with technology, right? And I think that it's important to mention, it's very important to put this in the context that this is a military, a lot of this technology is military technology. And I'm not going to say flock is military technology, but I would say that
It's it's that type of surveillance. So what they do is they they perfect a lot of these technology I wouldn't even say perfect. It's not perfect, right? Because it has malfunctions, but they get better at it Because this is the surveillance technology that they use out in the Middle East in actual war zones, right? So the internet itself the internet itself has its origin in the Vietnam War So a lot of people don't know that the internet itself, right is a large-scale surveillance tool so
So we got to put it in the context that what we're seeing overseas is now coming home, right? And then it's being used on what...
certain aspects of government or certain elites will consider a potentially rebellious population, right? And that would be us because we're a population who has been marginalized, who has suffered slavery, convict leasing, Jim Crow, and now they just switched it to mass incarceration. So
So we're a community who has been under constant attack, constant attack. And so when you have a fear or when you've been doing something like that, you surveil that community. It's a form of control. And so we have many different aspects of surveillance.
Hang on one second for me, Nick. Let me do this. Let me take a quick commercial break. It'll be our last one. And then when we come back, we'll pick it up because I don't want, I don't want to miss this. So we'll be right back here. I'm Michelle Barnes of the NOV 868. Yeah, we do have to have these brothers because this information is getting the text messages. I'm getting this information is scaring a lot of people will be right back.
All right, thank you, bro. I hear you. All right, Emilio. So look, I didn't realize this time was going to fly this fast. Let's get to the heart of what's going on tonight that we need the community to know about and be engaged in. Sure. This is super important. You know, democracy is a muscle if you don't use it at atrophies. And if you're not at the table, it's because you're on the menu. I'm letting you know that we're all on the menu right now. And if folks can show up.
There's three things folks can do. They can do it from their couch if they want. They have to let the mayor know that we don't want this mass surveillance in our city. They have to let their older people know, all 15 elders, that they don't want this type of mass surveillance in their city. And if folks are interested, they should come to City Hall tonight at 5.30 p.m. Room 301B where the Fire and Police Commission is meeting and tell them to recommend to the Common Council
and the chief of police that they stop using this type of video surveillance, whether it's flock or axon or whatever other people are trying to swap in, swap out, they need to show up strong. Because again, you know, the squeaky hinge gets the oil. If folks don't show up and they just complain privately, folks are going to do to you. If you do show up and you complain and you voice your opinion, well, they're going to consider that because they want to get elected again and they may want to stay in power. And if you show up.
Well, then you let them know they need to do it. You say they should do because they represent you. Well, let me just ask real quick, because I know that there was something about a potential moratorium on some of this software, howling how it was used. What do you say? Are we going far enough with that? Or what have you heard that they've been talking about as potential ways to combat some of these concerns?
Sure, two moratoriums. David Crowley indicated to us that Flock would not be in the county's budget in 2027, that he's not putting money into it. That's a good thing. Now we need to codify in law that we're drawn a line in the sand and we're saying we Milwaukeeans are not going to be surveilled. That's at the county level. And there's legislation introduced to that. I think that'll be in front of parks on the 29th of September.
For tonight in the city, there's moratorium because the the chief of police chief Norman said he's not going to be using Flock, but that's a nice thing what he says today He may change his mind tomorrow. We need to codify Excuse me, but the chief of police said he's not going to be using facial recognition technology months ago And that's great, but it needs to be codified just because
We all change our minds. I wanted to wear a totally different shirt last night. And then this morning, I thought, you know what? I want to match Michelle's glasses. I'm going to wear this one. So, uh, like we need laws to protect us. We need to say we, we, the people have examined this. This is invasive. This is racist. This is tracking us without a warrant. The government and other people don't need to know where I'm at all the time and then sell that stuff. Uh, and so it needs to be a law. So, um, folks need to show up tonight.
and say we need you to say common counsel, police, mayor, that we're not going to use this type of surveillance and it needs to be codified. Because I can say anything I want and change my mind 10 minutes later. It needs to be written down amid the law. Well, look, I got to wrap the show. I end early on Thursdays, but I appreciate the fact that you said not just contacting my individual alter person, but contacting all 15. Because, you know,
as somebody who understands how to respond to constituents. If 10 people contact your office, you understand you got a problem on your hand. I didn't say if 100 people contact your office, I said if 10 contact your office, you get the attention of legislators and policymakers. So make sure that we are doing this. For folks that want to learn more, stay engaged, follow the work of turners and what you and Brother Mustafa are doing, how do they do that?
visit our website, MilwaukeeTurners.org. We're proud sponsors and supporters of WNOV. We're doing a lot of work across the community to address violence and mass incarceration and building social infrastructure so that we grow to know one another and not be frightened to one another. This is just a fraction of what we do. So if you can check us out on social media, Milwaukee Turners, Instagram, Facebook,
come visit us. We got a great gymnasium. A lot of kids here doing gymnastics, having fun. There is a better world possible and we're in it and have been in it for 173 years to help accelerate the beloved community. Well, look, and when I get a chance, we're going to have to actually get Nicholas in because you can tell this brother got tons of information busting at the seams like no.
So we know how to fight and know how to play this game as well. I would love to do some myth busting. I know there's a lot of myths out there. There's a lot of false narratives out there. Popular narratives tend to be false. I would like to get into the details and I would like to do some myth busting. Some popular myth busting because I think that
any reasonable person once they get the details of it, I think we can change the way they think about it. Okay, good. I'll tell you what, Nick. We'll get it set up. Emilio, I'll reach out. I got to get out of here. Thank you, brothers, for being willing to do it this way. Thank you to the team back at How Long Jermaine, Clark, and family. I will talk to y'all. See y'all on Monday. Y'all have a great weekend. Peace.
