Say Something Real · Wed Jul 8, 2026

Good morning. Good morning. What's happening family? Welcome to the show. Pray for me y'all. Just. Jermaine. Jermaine is in the building. Pray for me Jesus. I'm just saying.

Right for me. Right for me. Good morning, kid. Yeah. We're every beaters at Henry. You ain't know yet. Oh, man, this is too funny. Good morning, everybody. What's up, Mary? Hey, Barbara. What's up, Orvana? What's happening? This is smiling.

because of peace. I like that one. That's kind of cool. If you find some peace, let me know about it. But welcome to the show. It is Michelle Bryant here at WNOV, 860 AM, 106.5 FM. You are listening to Say Something Real. Let me say good morning to the brothers in the building. What's going on? Would you ride out?

I'm sorry. He didn't have a camera on you. He's like, clug off slowly. He gave it at the end of the joke. People can type in, we can't hear it. Right. Right, Mr. Putschlock. Who missed everything? What's going on? How you doing this morning, sir? I heard you was making me some money last night.

Somebody say dollar bill. He was in the studio. I'm tired of food. You look like it. Your eyes look like they can close any minute. I look like he's gonna be sleeping here. He's gonna be sleeping. Look, that's why we keep these candies right here. Y'all think, no.

I keep the candy so I can throw it over there. Wake yo. They life savers for real. Yeah, save a life. So I'm doing pretty good, you know. Are you? The sun is shining. Okay. Meteorologist Mayno Cundella. Good. It's gonna be hot today. Is it? Yeah, it's 90 degrees. 90? Yeah, the hot's supposed to get to 90. It's gonna be hot. Drink some water, y'all. Stay cool.

As I drink coffee. Okay. Back to you, Bill. Well, you know, today is a special day. Today is Wednesday. He is getting ready to forget. He didn't have a question. Today is Wednesday. Okay. Thank you. Thank you. And no one's laughing. Thank you. You said no one's laughing. Someone asked a question.

That someone is me is me. Yeah, you know sale If I deliver something by car it is called shipment But if that same product is delivered on the ship Why is it called cargo?

So I just ponder and this this is where quality

Education is a factor. Because while it sounds, and there were many people that went, huh, when he said it, and he gets y'all every time. Which therefore makes me question your education. Because there are people that goes, you know, he right. He right.

But, you know, as they used to say back, you know, happy to see happy to zone us questioning your skills to this would be a case of this ain't that apples and oranges linguistically, you know, that play on words, the boat, but got cargo.

the car, but we got shipment. So linguistically, it makes, you know, makes one go, huh? So I'm going to ask the question. But cargo is actually the physical goods themselves. Shipment is the act of sending those things back and forth. So you can have a shipment, whether it's in a car or a plane or ship. So.

This ain't that Just get a real question But linguistic

You, you, you, yeah, you, you know, and there are people that are disappointed right now because they thought you had. That was like, come on, man. One, one for me. No, no. He still said that zero. So I feel good now going to Clark. What's happening, Clark?

I'm with a better public school education. That's who I'm with. How's it going, bro? You was up all night tricking last night, too. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I wasn't tricking. I was working. You know what? Well, see, I can't get your money because you got a wife. So, you know, if I can't get it, you just out here, just, just, you know, messing around. I can get your money money. Yeah. I had a good time. I get a shout out to the train.

of my partner. What kind of gang names are these? D-Train. DJ D-Train. Oh, it's a DJ. Yeah. OK, DJ D-Train. He got his, you know, train wreck production. Shots out the hill. Happy birthday to him. Do I want to hire somebody who has a company called Train Wreck Productions? Oh, trust me.

It's not just stealing a lot of coffee. You might want to change the name. Shrae Wreck Productions. Make me a little nervous, but OK, shout out to Trae. I mean, DJ Trae Wreck. Also shout out to DJ Jamin T. He did his thing last night. DJ who? Jamin T.

Jamin T. Jamin JT, excuse me. Jamin JT. Okay. Okay. Yeah, man. He did a stay last night. We had a lot of fun, man. No, when was your last time with all this partying going on? That's the dragon place. What is the dragon place? I got to get out more. Which is that you're right in the dungeon. 7,200 West Fundalac. It used to be called the stage back in the day.

Oh, yeah. And it's called the dragon place, man. Shots out to the owners and the staff there, man. They did a good job. It was a good time, man. It wasn't crowded. Oh, it's Dragon's place. OK. It wasn't crowded. The grown folks having a good time. You know what I'm saying? We just had a good time, man. 7,200 on Fond du Lac. Yeah, that used to be the stage. OK, I'm going to have to get a list of places I just got to go visit. Because I mean, nine.

I've had to pass by this place a thousand times. Yeah. Yeah, I don't even know and I can't visualize where it is. Yeah Okay, I'm about to beat nose. Let me

I'm gonna tell you I went to when I did the thing for Attorney Jacobson for his book

About his book that he had written and I interviewed him. So I went to that it was at a Bar on the east. Well, not we I guess kind of east side like Riverside. What's up that area? River West area. Oh, yeah That what is it called? Um diaspora

I've never been there that bar is so nice. Oh my god Yeah, it's it's called diaspora and It is I think it's diaspora. Yep diaspora. It is so nice in there brothers on it It is spacious beautifully decorated

You know, and it's a sports bar lounge. They got a cigar lounge in the back Yeah, like out the way out the cut view. I mean in his face is I'm telling you if you have not been to this is 735 East Sinistry if you have not been there y'all sleeping on East Center So that's like River West. Yeah, but when I tell you I walked in there and I was blown I was like

wait a minute and it's got like a it's got almost like a Chicago vibe to it uh it's and you know and it's like nestle right there in the neighborhood you get thrown off guard because you don't think it's that big when you walk in but the brothers over there or whoever that team is they have put that together it is really really nice i gotta yeah yeah all of the food looked like i didn't eat because i was you know doing the interview stuff but they had the platters coming out and

you know, the real cooks and real chefs over there. So if you have not checked and it's adult, you know, it's grown folks, but the vibe in there was really, really good. Okay. And it's diaspora MKE sports bar. And like I said, I think it's a group of brothers that own it. I know. I know what they say used to be the brewing.

The Brewing Company Brewing on City State. I remember that. I remember that. Yeah, yeah. Cause yeah, cause they got like a little stage area and I think they do like live music, DJ. But it's, it's nice man. I love the vibe in there. Yeah, they, they, they doing all right with them, you know.

the atmosphere. It feels like grown folks and it feels like you wasn't in the city for a minute. I'm like, okay, liking this. But yeah, so that's that's that. All right. Well, a couple of things to get to this morning. We already got folks on the phone line. So let me see what they talking about. Hey, caller. What's happening? Good morning, Michelle. How you doing? I'm good. How are you this morning?

I'm doing well. Good morning, right? How are you? I'm good, Angela. How are you? I'm doing well. Good morning, Clarkton. Who you with? I'm with you, fool. You better believe it. Michelle. Yes, ma'am. You know, you were talking about that hospital yesterday, Ms. McCordia. Yes. I can tell you about it, honey, because we stayed right down the hill from there. My mother was a Swiss war operator there.

Really? Yes, ma'am. She surely was. That's crazy. Because I had never heard of it until I saw that piece. So the history that we just don't understand and know in this town is crazy. Yes, and it was a beautiful, lovely hospital. Yes, and we're back on the hospital because I knew one doctor that was like our family doctor and that was Dr. Arthur Howe.

Work there also. What was the doctor's name? Art the how? Art the how? Yeah. Okay. Okay. That lady Jacqueline how she was a kid doctor treated to tritium perturbation. Hmm. Mm-hmm. Well, that was his wife. Okay. Okay. He was adopted there at that hospital. Oh, I just saw her obituary Jacqueline. Is that her? Yep. Jacqueline M. How?

She just passed away. Yeah, last year. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, she was beautiful. Yeah. My mother was a switch boy. I pray at the hospital. All right. I don't 24 things you know. Hmm. Okay. Well, I'll have to get some stories sometimes because like I said, had never heard of it. Some people reached out to me to ask me for the marker and where it was and I found the address.

Hang on. Let me see Angela. What was the area but I'm gonna find cuz I sent somebody address yesterday That's okay, I got it cuz I like I said Yeah, I know I know exactly where it is like when I'm in a synergy I'm going in the neighborhood and just walk around because I used to live there when over in there and just see the old house and that's still the house is tore down now

And a couple of other ones on that same side of the sheet up on but yep I used to yes when I lived in Cherry Court I will walk in that, suspend the people. Okay. Living in this. Okay, yep I'll pull up the address because I sent it to somebody yesterday they wanted to know and I ended up, oh no not that one, but yep I'll find it but thank you Angela that's good, good to know man.

Yeah, you're very welcome. All right. Thank you. Did you receive my text this morning? Nope.

Thank you. I got your text. All right, y'all. You know it was coming. He's a little petty. You know it was coming. Got another call. Let me get to me. Hey, Colin, what's happening? Hey, Michelle. Hey, turn the radio down. How you doing today? I'm good. How are you today? Fine. What you got for me?

Have you got a chance to hear about Big Tigger's situation about his baby mama being a west stick? Who you said Benny Segal or Big Tigger? Big Tigger, so who you talk to? The UT West City in the basement? Oh, yeah, I mean I didn't like get into it I know they just released a video of them like fighting over a cell phone and all kind of foolishness, but yeah, I didn't Yeah, I ain't even care

All right. Thank you. Okay. Thank you. But yeah, she got arrested for um, she got a kid that's uh, so it's been missing for years. Really? Yeah.

Oh, that was that part because I thought they had like a DV situation going on Yeah, because I saw them they show video of them wrestling over the phone And he took a leave of absence from the radio show Oh, okay

Well, I saw that he had took a you know, like had kind of stepped away from some of his projects But so she had a missing child. Yeah Look now. She didn't report anyone calling here with some real stuff. Let me see. She didn't report in the left The child with missing Years ago, you know what I saw Okay

So what are they trying to act like she did it? She was okay, so thank you caller for putting me on because I just thought it was the domestic violence and I wasn't trying to like pay attention to that but Atlanta radio host big tickers a strange wife Alicia Brown was arrested on I-85 in Georgia on outstanding kidnapping warrants

and local custody charges out of Maryland. Two children, including the infant she shares with Big Tigger, will say, oh. So the kidnapping warrants, the Maryland warrants stem from the 2019 disappearance of her then 10-year-old daughter who vanished after the child's father was granted full custody. Brown now faces a felony interference with child custody charge in Georgia and is awaiting extradition.

Extradition to Maryland. So the child ain't dead though, right? She just had the child. Oh Really, so how you go move on with your life and have another baby? And you ain't worried about the way your child is unless you Stashed his baby somewhere. Oh give it to somebody she know. Yeah So she went and had a kid with tigger But

From the first incident. Oh, that's why I was missing where your baby yet But most likely the gay that shot of somebody else to keep him from getting him. Yeah, you know, um Yeah, so his stuff like, you know, it's see Anyway You know cuz you just get tired of like how the stuff be playing out in the media and it's like come on

see but I mean but even though with that sale like as a parent like you you acting a fool even if this dude is cheating or doing or whatever just leave I mean you know that's the that's the if we all had you know discipline and good sense Jermaine you know there's just so many people just don't

But I'm like, but you bringing all this to social media that you got your son recording it. So I'm a Mr. Tigger. Get off of her. Yeah. And like it's like, and that was one of the reasons why I didn't like do a lot with it because number one.

I just get so tired of people dragging their children into their foolishness. These kids do not ask to be here. And you can conduct. I just said that I went back and listened. I was listening for something that I said on the show the other day when we started my home training. But I talked about the fact.

No, when I was talking about the girl having the wig on. And I said, you know, in the fifth, sixth grade, this girl had a wig on in my classroom. And I was like, you know, it was a scandal. We were shocked. Like, what's going on? And I talked about the fact because.

Our parents didn't expose us to a lot of grown people stuff. So there was no cursing around us. My granddaddy had the occasional, you know, hail, but that was the extent, that was as strong of a word as you were going to get. We didn't hear the who was cheating and who was sleeping with, you know, the arguing and like, like the way people talk in front of their kids today is so scandalous.

And so every time I see these stories, I'm like, y'all just do not think about the damage you're doing to these children, man. Like, please stop, please. So I just, I can't stand it.

And they passing that generational curse down to their kids. Generational ignorance. Generational ignorance. There you go. So now y'all just think this is the way you supposed to do it. And your kids supposed to hear you hate your baby daddy and blah, blah, blah. I just had to argument with somebody in my family about it. Because the stuff that I said in front of their child, I was like, family, I don't order for that. That baby thing, even, and people get confused just because your child is a teenager.

12, 13, 14, 15, they still need to be protected. They still shouldn't be getting drawn into your crap. And I hate people, you know, when people do that, like let a child be a child. They got, they got the rest of their life to be mired in foolishness. But you, you are setting horrific examples for how they engage other people and relationships. And when I tell you just, it grates.

I had to just walk away because I was like, you know what? You ignorant and I'm not going to keep having this conversation with you. But the stuff that y'all do in front of your child, you and your wife is out of pocket. It's out of pocket. That child don't have no business hearing that and everybody want to go and plead their case to the child in front of the child. Y'all need to stop. And everybody don't nobody see they stuff. Right. You only see the other person stuff. And I'm like, you ignorant too. Yeah.

And he ain't like it, but I just told him, I said, you ignorant too, bro. And that's not fair because you're putting that child in the middle to choose whose side. Exactly. And in that first thing they say, I ain't trying to get you to choose sides. Yes, you are. And that's why you telling it. Now, I just want them to know they got eyes. And if they don't know now, they'll know eventually. Y'all think kids is dumb. Kids are not dumb. But I just can't.

Let me do this real quick, because I got to take a break. Carla, I see you on hold. And thank you, Charlotte, for sending me. The marker is located at Linden Hill, which is in the intersection of West McKinley Avenue and 22nd Street. Thank you, because I was going to find it on the break, because I sent it to somebody yesterday. But let me just say this real, real quick update in relationships, because now I'm thinking about this family stuff. The young sister and her child who

You know, now the listeners of our show have been reaching out to help this young sister, just a couple of quick things. So she is still in a hotel checking out this morning. There is one agency that is trying to help her. They had a shelter placement for her on yesterday.

But because of miscommunication in terms of what time you got to do this, do this by the time, you know, she got herself was ready to go. She had lost the shelter placement. Had lost the shelter placement. So literally, I went last night to go pick up all of her things because they're hoping they can find something for her today because when she leaves to go to work this morning.

She'll be checking out of that hotel. So here we are. It is July 8th that you know, and so that whole thing about like I get what folks are talking about when they talk about, you know, we've dealt with chronic homelessness, people who have been on the streets for a year or whatever that definition is or longer. But this this short term homelessness, you know, that 30 day, 60 day, 90 day, three month. I mean, that's.

Three months. Um, but six months homelessness couch surfing. We don't have an effective strategy for dealing with that. We do not. And, and we don't have enough resources, beds or facilities for people to go to. And, you know, so I just want people to understand. I just took her more money yesterday for food. Um, I took her clothes to my house and washed up clothes. I went and bought suitcases.

And the stuff I just picked up from her yesterday I'm gonna wash that and Get that put in some suitcases because you can't keep walking around with these white garbage bags It's mentally depressing to me To see you know and this baby just see they life being shifted around in garbage bags So I was like, I'll be going to get a set of luggage. So I went and bought luggage, you know the other day

But with her not having been from Wisconsin originally, you know, we got to order birth certificates had to get a Wisconsin ID like all this stuff costs money Yes, you know, and so I just want people to understand that have said, you know Hey, Michelle here goes something to help that this is what the help looks like like luggage

To keep you from carrying your stuff around in garbage bags and being embarrassed when every time you go into the hotel You carrying in like you can tell some wrong because nobody's going to stay at a hotel with You know seven six seven eight garbage bags. So you in crisis. So folks already judging you when you walk through the door So I just wanted to give people updates. So hopefully today so she's literally on her way to work as I'm looking at the clock understanding that

right now, she don't know where she's gonna lay her head tonight. And if they haven't figured it out, then I'll be getting her put back in another hotel again until we can get some help. But July 8th, we are still trying to figure out where this young sister can go. I'm real careful with what I'm...

Going to say because we are on radio, but I am really upset with the system That's in place for people that are in crisis real-life crisis and situations like like this young lady Can't nobody tell me and you know whatever your

Faith is it is but for me no one can tell me that God is not real because for this young lady To pray that morning To God that day I need help. I don't know what I'm gonna do She's crying out. She ended up at the hospital because she's thrown up Blood because she ended up having an ulcer

From you know stressing out and things like that She prayed to God for help and here I come and and Like On that particular day for some reason I was in that area and You know when she got in the car and you know things like that, you know, it was his only to ask how she was doing

And when she started talking, you know, that's what kicked off everything. So I'm like, man, and, and if I would have never came along, that's what I'm looking at. If God would have never sent help. There's no telling where this child would be with all of her stuff. All of them hot days, whatever that we experienced. There's no telling. So.

I just, like I said, I wanted to provide that update. I was thinking about it when I was thinking about that conversation about what these children go through. And as I have always said, continue to say that whole parent piece, the luck of the draw, who you're born to, the situation you're born into, but then helping these young people figure out how to navigate life after you've been exposed to adversity. And in some cases, trauma.

you know, because this young boy, his father was killed. So, you know, you're going to miss a lot of things that you should have had. But I got to take a commercial break. I just wanted to make sure that I, you know, circle back. And I want to just say thank you to brother David Mohammed. I want to say that out loud because it's a whole bunch of people listen to this show.

or somebody tells him what we talk about on the show. David Muhammad is the only person in any position of authority that has reached out to ask any questions about the system. He is the only person in a position of authority who may listen to this show, who reached out to ask any questions about the system. So I just want to say thank you.

to that brother and he has kept up with me every day to, you know, check in updates to figure out how to be of assistance and pulling any, you know, levers that he has had and, you know, resources and information to make sure that this young lady gets some help. So I want to publicly acknowledge brother David Mohammed who, you know, comes to the station.

We have the conversations in his capacity with the county. But I just, I appreciate that people listen and that people, you know, people reached out. So let me take a break. Michelle Bryant, WNOV, 860 AM, 106.5 FM, I'll be right back. All right, family, welcome back to the show. We're going to try to get to some topics today. I got a caller, so let's get the mirror real quick. Hey, caller, what's happening?

Hello? Yes. Oh, I'm sorry. I couldn't tell if I was on there or not. But anyway, I just want to tell you, man, I'm so proud of who you are as a man because you really listened to that lady and was able to, you know, help her find some help. And Michelle, I'll just let you piece it.

Thank you, Solis. And you know, you are somebody that shows up whenever you can. It's always appreciated. But thank you. Like I said, can't nobody tell me nothing about the Milwaukee greater community because y'all have never not listened when I say somebody had an issue and not figured out how to be of help. And people tap in when they can here and there. And I'm just telling y'all it makes all the difference in the world. So thank you so much, Solis.

Might not be able to get help somebody directly, but I know who to call All right, I love you back sis. All right y'all look I'm just letting y'all know right now if you Still send stuff in the mail Cards, you know birthday cards greeting. How are they cards? Yeah, so stamps are about to go up

Again, I think it's effective this Sunday on July 12th. I didn't realize that a stamp cost 78 cents. I just tell people, give me a book of stamps. And I pay for it on my card, so I don't really look to see how much it costs. Even though the lady say, or the person at the counter says, blah, blah, blah, hit the little thing on the little pad, I just don't look.

So stamps are going from 78 cents to 82 cents this Saturday. So let me just help y'all because you were like, okay, Michelle. But over the past five years, a first class stamp price has been raised six times.

It has increased from 58 cents in 2021 is 78 cents today and on Sunday, it will be 82 cents. So stamps have increased in price by 34%. But the minimum wage has not moved. How long? Explain that. See, this is that part. How long?

has the minimum wage been seven twenty five thirty years two thousand nine the federal minimum wage has been seven dollars and twenty five cents since two thousand and nine making it unchanged for nearly seventeen years who can be on a job today

and make seven twenty five and be able just like and I need how much is that a year if if I make if I make so a week that is two hundred and ninety dollars a week if you work a forty hour week but hey do it do it do it do a thirty hour week because that's what

Most of them seven to five would die for years, but no because what I'm trying to get to is so to 90 a week How much is it because I'm trying to get to yeah, because it was to 90 a week So let's just wrap it up to 300 so you talk about 1200 a month Take away 40 hours. Um if rent Average rent

It's about that month. It's just that you luck out and find a place for 850 a month. And you only making 1200 and that's 1200 before taxes. And you still got everything else you got to do. How are people making it? So that's one of the even the concerns with this young sister who right now work at Taco Bell. You don't really make enough money.

to even to be able to really afford a place to stay. That's a decent place. You got to be subsidized and but ask me how much do the CEO of Taco Bell make? Let's just see CEO of Taco Bell. Net worth. The CEO of Taco Bell is worth 50 million dollars.

Okay, okay Because what do we do we subsidize these corporations? Employees many of these employees for a lot of these places that pay 725 They qualify for food stamps They qualify for badger care or some type of health care assistance. They qualify for low-income housing

We cover all of that as taxpayers But look at what their shareholders get look at what their CEOs get and their top executives get the pay differential is crazy and So even though you got somebody going to work every day for 40 hours and then people will be like well get a better job Get get you know go get your education with what?

I applied for financial aid. Donald Trump comes in and says, oh, you want to be in this category. That's not considered a professional job anymore. So the amount that you can borrow is reduced. And then the way they redid financial aid, if you were tethered to an adult and you're still 18, 19, live at home, your parents income got to be included in what you're trying to do in terms of getting financial aid.

But there's a whole bunch of parents not paying for you to go to school They're not gonna get the parent plus loaner, you know do anything and some of them don't even have the credit to help you if they wanted to So it's it's rough out here. So when I saw that this morning, I was highly aggravated That here we go again Something has gone up six times in five years

But the minimum wage has remained the same for 17 years. That's crazy. July 24th, 2009 will be the anniversary of people getting up to 725. And I want to remind you, there are still two professions that are not guaranteed a federal minimum wage. Tipped weight staff and farm workers.

When Lena was in office that was one of the things she introduced legislation for trying to correct that I can work at Denny's and be paid. I think it was like 2035 35 an hour. Yeah, and my pay would be compensated by whatever I got tipped Now if I didn't get tipped

You know, whatever. Yeah, then I think they subsidize that in some way. But how do you justify somebody coming in and standing on their feet, waiting on people all day long? And you got to depend on the kindness of people for you to even try to get to your seven 25 hour. And why would you separate that work out? Like that's some sexist.

crazy old school nonsense that shouldn't even be in place anymore. Why would you separate out somebody that's a waiter or waitress? And think that it's okay for these people in some cases to make 225 and you just got to smile real hard and hope that your party tips you. Yep. All right. I got a caller. Let me go to the phone line. Hey, caller. What's happening?

Good morning, sir. How you doing this morning? Good morning, sir. How you doing this morning? Good morning, sir. How you doing this morning?

To stop the violence, I'm talking about it's going to be better than the million man march. If we got to stop this killing man, and brothers and sisters, y'all too old, we don't want to see parents cry no more. It's our youth that, the teenagers. It's quite conspicuous, man. We must do something about it. Ray Mekkes was in the house, and now guess what? Ray Mekkes is out.

You know the one thing that they gonna say though after you done marching and the next thing is what you gonna do Yeah, now what? So let me just say this real quick. I know I got another caller But all eyes are on Wisconsin all eyes are on Milwaukee around the country in fact It's people paying attention to this around the world right now

You wouldn't think it, but it is. Judge Hannah Dugan is being sentenced this morning after being convicted of felony obstruction for helping an immigrant evade federal authorities in a case that, you know, dealt with Donald Trump's immigration policies. You know, I think they what was they said that Stephen Millenium has set a goal of how many

immigrants they wanted evicted from the country. It was either a daily goal or a monthly goal, but I had to go back and look, but the numbers was ridiculous. Like that's how non-criminals are getting caught up in this whole thing.

because they don't have enough of the really bad, awful criminal murderers, rapists that they had been selling people on. So you picking up somebody's mama who dropping their kids off at school while she go do her job. You picking up people who are coming into the immigration office for their regular check-ins because there are not enough people to fit your these, you know,

These are the worst people ever. They're infiltrating our country and they're their criminals and we got to get them out of here. You don't have enough people to fit that. So you picking up all kinds of folks. So Hannah Duggan, Judge Duggan, who high profile situation in which she is aware. Ice agents are there to potentially get somebody in her courtroom. She allows them to leave through a door.

after, you know, talking to the officers and kind of intervening. And she allows this individual in her courtroom to leave through her side door. That's not one typically used by the public. And that's, I think, where the obstruction charges come in. And so she is 67 years old, potentially facing up to five years in prison.

Remember, she was convicted back on December 19th, so she has been waiting on this for a while. She had already resigned her position as a Milwaukee County judge two weeks after the conviction because they were talking about impeaching her. Republican lawmakers had said, we're gonna impeach her. She's only been a judge for nine years, and this is where we are.

As soon as I came in this morning, we were talking about it You know Jermaine said Michelle you think she's gonna get some time Clark was like a we talking about this, you know, and I'd like kind of chuckle cuz like I'm just like I Don't think she gonna get no time She'll probably be put on probation because this is a judge but Tom Tiffany who was running for governor

You know infamously, you know out here talking about locker up locker up go lock up your boy That's right because you know I'll hear to lock them up phrase when it comes to Donald Trump and all the the actual crimes that have been committed you killing people You know in the middle of these these these bodies of water is talking about they drug dealers with no proof whatsoever You're actually committing murder

I haven't even looked at the total because I usually try to keep up with the total. How many people has the US killed in drug votes? 221. They have killed

221 people. 60 strikes so far. No judge, no jury, no trial, no evidence. And we just sitting around. So while Tom Tiffany

who wants to be governor of Wisconsin thinks it's cute to be out talking about lock somebody up because you let them leave out the side door. Why don't you lock somebody up who is killing people with no due process? Congressman. Flunky. Why don't you do that? So we'll keep our eye out.

I'm sure it'll be breaking news when it happens, but that's that's the call I'm making is that She she won't actual do actually do prison time Somebody said how about the girl school in Iran exactly? Exactly That's the US is hands on that though. We killed all them children and you know, but you want to holler lock her up That just lets you know these are non serious people

Tom Tiffany don't have no business being governor of Wisconsin because you don't have no backbone to stand up and talk about what's right and what's wrong. None. All right, let me catch this caller real quick before we move on. Hey, caller, what's happening? Hello, caller. Can you hear me? I can. Yeah, you were just talking about inflation. Yes. And you were talking about

some of those jobs in a minimum wage. I gotta agree, a minimum wage should be a height to that. But we started talking about other jobs, especially waitresses. You know, something about that waitress job, I hardly ever see any of these illegal or any of these migrants working in the waitress' feet. I hardly ever see that.

And that's where the, now that's where you go. It depends on where you go. Cause if you go to the Dales, they bring in workers to work all these resorts. When I go to Martha's Vineyard in a couple of weeks, it's going to be everybody that wait on me going to be a foreigner here on special visas to be able to work. All of them going to be immigrants, every one of them. But they're going to be from the white countries in Martha's Vineyard. Yes, what? They still there, right?

and they, I think they should not be there, but they still are. So, especially the waitress's job, now you say everybody's gonna be there, gonna be, I hope you look at that real well, and that probably will be. Oh, you gotta do is go to the Dales. I've been all through the Dales. So you know who's waiting on you at the Dales, right? Right, that's right. Some of those exchange students up there too. Well, I get that part, I understand that part, but that's your every,

average place, everyday place one. I hardly ever see them working in that kind of field. And then when we look at the rents, the reason why rents is so high is because people get to this country and they don't really, really understand the concept of capital living. So they just pay, they just pay.

whatever they tried to cost that even old cars with branded titles you know a car that's been been totaled at one point and we we put back together these cars are still at 19,000, 20,000 dollars who buying them cars these people that come into this country because they just glad to be here and they just spending money so wait wait wait so we don't attribute high rents to more corporate ownership of homes

rental units we don't attribute high rents to a demand issue that there are there is less housing to accommodate needs so people are able to charge you more because the demand is great so we don't I mean how do the immigrants get tied to our rent being too high because you just said less housing so if it's less housing somebody must be occupying these houses

And if you've got two or three people or four people in a situation and they're paying. So you think if there weren't immigrants here, we wouldn't have high rent? Is that what you're telling me? No, no, you wouldn't be having these cars sold at this kind of price. So let me let me be clear. So you think American corporate greed would stop if we didn't have immigrants in our country? No, listen, if.

I don't care about corporate greed. That's what you need to care about, though, because that's what's driving everything. Corporate greed is what's driving all of this.

Why is it driving it? Because I'm interested in being able to pay our shareholders, our stockholders, our investors, our CEOs the maximum amount of money. So I'm going to squeeze money from every area of this operation so that I could put more money in the pockets of the folks at the top.

there was no money for them to squeeze out. Meach, you know what? Okay. I just, you know, you don't figure out a way to blame immigrants for anything. You can figure out, this is so crazy. Because there's no money. Hold on. If there's no money, how can we get it? Meach, come on, fam. Please, please, please stop.

Please stop. At some point, just to see that your bias jades your ability to talk about this in a rational manner. Corporate greed is outrageous. Corporations who don't pay their fair share.

All of these things are contributing. As I said, these are American, not immigrants, American workers going to work every day and working in these companies that taxpayers end up subsidizing their employees, healthcare, housing, food, because these corporations won't pay these people fair market rate. Hold on. And I think they should at that point because I think they should subsidize it. All right.

Thank you. Can I say something about talking to me right away? Oh, please go ahead. Okay. Now listen, now you don't put into my my my idea of about Tom Tiffany Listen, this is when a person has to draw the mind if you if you if you bring taxes schoolboy taxes into your real estate taxes for the next 400 years Okay, just answer this question for me in the audience because I know some people listen

If you bring school board taxes into your real estate taxes, if you own any real estate, if you own your grandmommas or mommas, and they don't leave from here for 100 years, they'll be long gone, and if you even thought it was going to be some generational wealth passed down through the real estate, in 400 years at a house that's right now worth maybe $180,000, $200,000, what would that increase in 50 years as we had to, at the Gorn

height right now, not what is going to inflict too late, but what is going to rain? If you just let's just say 25 years, what would that be? As you know, a number of factors will determine that investment in the area. We're just talking about the school board height. We don't know. That's right. The school board height is going to be on top of your county. So okay, so let me just do this real quick though. So what is just so for folks in the back?

So what is the specific point that you'd want us to infer from your comment? But if you thought that you would keep me able to keep and tolerate a house of the next 50 years, or next year, 50 years, it would be totally impossible because by that time, your school board, I'm just saying 50, I just say 25 years. But how does that relate to Tom Tiffany? Tom Tiffany said on day one,

Okay, so wait, so then are you calling to endorse Tom Tiffany? Are you calling to endorse Tom Tiffany?

Yeah, you should be endorsing. No, no, no, no, no. What I should be doing. Come on. Don't be scared. Don't be scared. And just go ahead and say you endorse some time, Tiffany. Go ahead, me. I have to make my comment.

Are you endorsing time Tiffany? You know what? Top Tiffany you say they don't need to be no Juneteenth

Jesus I'm choking up here I'm gonna run the laundry list on time Tiffany. Trust me. I'm going to run the laundry list on time Tiffany, but It's amazing how it's all this tap dancing and beating around the bush before you finally get to your conservative Republican support and agenda it's

Sad it's so sad. I gotta take a break but before I do that since I'm speaking of money Let me just say so y'all know that we had been Waiting talking about the work that was supposed to be done to get Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill right and Barack Obama had teed everything up

And all we had to do, you know, uh, the bad part, it was not completely done before Barack Obama left office, but everything was teed up and ready to go. Well, and I want to, in fact, Jermaine, let me, let me take the break while I find this piece real quick. Um, because guess who has killed Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill?

Meach is president Meach is team of Republicans led by Pancake makeup in chief Donald Trump. So we'll talk about that all teed up This was put in place before this man got in office and they what they say all we got to put it off Remember Trump put it off the first term

Then body comes in it doesn't get done under Biden and then now we're here and now all of that work But I'll talk about it. I'll be right back All right family welcome back to the show so before I went to the break since we was talking money Let me just flag for you all for all you good old conservative loving Republican advocating

Vote for Tom Tiffany Negroes the US treasure US Treasury Department is no longer planning to put Harriet Tubman anti-slavery crusader on the $20 bill. Okay, so voiders the griot number of agencies are talking about this waiting for it to make mainstream media though

This is according to the Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Descent. He said, quote, we are not at present when he was asked yesterday, no, I'm sorry, on Monday morning, in an interview if they were still planning to move ahead with the decade old plan. He didn't elaborate, declined really to say much else, but remember, the Obama administration announced in 2016 that Harriet Tubman

who was born into slavery in the early 1820s, went on to help hundreds of enslaved people escape, would replace racist behind president Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill. Then Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew said the decision was a result of thousands of responses received from Americans. So Americans from all over the country reached out to say, let's make this happen.

A, we don't have a woman on any paper currency. And we have no people of color on any paper currency. And who better than a Harriet Tubman? So she would have been the first African-American on the face of money. She would have been, I think, the first woman, because I don't think there are any bills out of circulation that we don't know, but I'll just double check.

And as I said before I went to the break during that first camp. I mean that first term Trump Who began to dismantle DEI diversity equity inclusion initiatives he called the move to replace Jackson with Tubman pure political correctness He had proposed putting her on a two dollar bill or another bill Who's on the to the who's currently on the two dollar bill, let me see who

is on the $2 bill. Thomas Jefferson. Thomas Jefferson is on the $2 bill. So he, he, he, he not gonna take the racist off the money. He gonna take what Thomas Jefferson was a hot mess to, but okay. So yeah, he didn't want to put her, he didn't want to get rid of Andrew Jackson. So they eliminate

or they put the project on hold, and they claim that it would take too much, and so the whole thing wouldn't be ready until 2030. That's the TLA told back then. So Biden's administration, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, revived the Harriet Tubman $20 bill project

But I take it back. So she was the one that estimated that the new currency wouldn't be ready for circulation until 2030 stating they needed sophisticated anti-counterfeiting measures. Well, what's the measures we got on the $100 bill? Why we gotta do something more sophisticated than what's on the money we got right now? The $100 bill with the little blue ribbon running through it and you can't just you can't just do that in some form for really?

So it would take you another six seven years to figure out how to make a money money secure So we didn't get it done under Biden So beset the current Treasury secretary got into it with Joyce baby Joyce baby is the black woman who sued to get Donald Trump's name taken off the Kennedy Center and y'all might have saw her Facebook doing the Trump dance So am I am I doing it right y'all?

uh They got into an argument trump's treasury secretary and congresswoman, uh, baby when she asked if he could provide an update on the status of the bill This was back last year. He said I can't my staff will get back to you While no new person has been put on a u.s paper currency since 1928 some officials in the current trump administration have sought to put

Donald Trump's name, I mean Donald Trump's face on a proposed $250 bill to mark the 250th anniversary of the nation's founding. When asked why the Treasury Department is not moving forward with the $20 note with Tubman's image while making preparations for a $250 bill with Trump's image,

The Treasury Secretary said the $250 requires an act of Congress because you can't have a living person on U.S. currency. And it was to commit for the 250th anniversary. Okay. We all, we all clear. We're clear. Everybody.

Yep. And somebody said, Susan, thank you, Toi. She says Susan B. Anthony on, um, she's on the, the doubt, the silver dollar. And that's why I said paper currency. I didn't think we had ever had a woman on paper currency. Um, but yeah, so I just, I just want to let the sink in. Obama teased this up and it's ready to roll.

Trump gets elected right after him, white grievance, white backlash, white folks mad that a black person became president. He tells everybody, I'm getting ready to mess over DEI as far as he's concerned. This is a DEI project. If you want to put her on something, put her on the $2 bill, then he comes back this time. Yeah, y'all not getting it at all. Y'all not getting it. So hopefully if a Democrat gets elected,

They will make it a priority to put anybody of color Preferably Harriet Tubman and put a woman or put people on the money that are reflective of the country Because as we celebrate the 250 everybody has to concede without indigenous people without black people without

You know, other immigrants pouring into this country that are not just white folks. This country is not. It's not a thing. It's not standing. Let me go to the phone line. Hey, caller, what's happening? Good morning. I'm still trying to understand why is all these immigrants getting out of smoke? Because a lot of these Republicans use the immigrants to gain their wealth.

I don't hear nobody talk about some of these Republican companies like ULINE who was flying these people in and panning and sending them back and they get no smoke. And I know it can't be about the immigrants not breathing with them because these ICE agents already was raping them and y'all don't hear nothing about that. So I understand why they get no smoke.

We're not getting no smoking. Your president said he's proud to be a president of Israel, not the American soil. He ain't got no smoke weed about what I was going to ask you, Michelle. Do you think this would be a wonderful time to appeal to the alphabet? Because this is on gender, and we should call it

gender, gender peace or gender pedophile, because those are the people that's only raping and taking and they are not getting on a sex offender list. They don't have to go downtown in any state and sit there and talk about why they want to touch on boys, touch on little girls.

or be trying to use some little boy's mouth as a glory hole in their Christian nation, the same Christian nation that was disrespected by them converted Europeans. So I'm still trying to figure out why ain't nobody getting no smoke. And then y'all giving all the smoke to the migrants. Well, if you've got a problem with them being waitresses, go up there with them cowboy boots and a brim and be a waitress. Well, wait us. If you've got a problem with them picking fruit,

put on a straw hat, or pick up trucking over walls, and pick some food. Be all you can be. But I think we need to add a letter P to the alphabet. Because if you're raping people with the same anatomy, there's a problem. And it's even real bad when she'll have that women. Women is popping up. But that's because those married women have those husbands who's not hitting that final destination. Check that landing gear is still stuck. Have a good one. Thank you.

Let me go to the next call. Hey, caller, what's happening? Hello? Good morning. Good morning. How are you this morning? I'm almost frustrated. Almost frustrated? Why almost? Because Michelle, who's a mass piece of what she does, gives all of the time to

her favorite person, Meach, every day. And then she goes into a circular argument with him every day. And she does a very good job of asking him to explain anything he says in her life he says. But she takes him to give him too much time. Well, you're going to have to talk to Michelle there and get her to get her. I've been telling her 2,000 times the whole step.

That's if you fail in me. I mean, and you know, I hear you. But a part of this time spent chastising me could be better used. With all the education and the wisdom you don't impart to us. Yes, but I think I'm ignored. I mean, just refer to me. Well, but you got the mic right now. Make the most of it.

I'm trying to do that. I'm telling everybody. I'm telling everybody right now Do not try to force logic and common sense where it will never go avoid circular argument When you go in a circle argument you never get to me and and Michelle is very intelligent and she's very good at that, but she gives him too much time

I know she looks like she's trying to make him a five people. Y'all have a good one. Thank you, sir. Appreciate your comments. Appreciate your comments. All right. So let me let me do a couple of quick things. First of all, let me just say, you know, kudos to my girl, Coco Goff. We're showing up.

Well, I said we show it out. We showing out and it's folks that don't like to see us do well. Cocoa golf and what's my other baby girl name in tennis? Oh, soccer. I can't take her name right now. Um, just impressive play. And then we know that, um, in soccer, as we are watching, you know, everything continue to advance. They have.

been a number of incidents involving race in which people have told folks to go back to the zoo, whether they are black folks that are in attendance at the games, black folks on the field. And, you know, this is just coming from, like, international communities. And you just, you just have to just, and I'm going to break.

But you just have to shake your head that everybody in the world can figure out how to hone in and hate one group of people until you need us to win you a championship until you need us to make you some money until you need us to entertain you to

build for you. But it is the work that was done by the early colonizers and individuals that continues to permeate interactions today to have convinced all these people around the world in terms of different racial ethnic groups that

the one group you can hate without, you know, a whole lot of resistance is black people. And I don't care if they foundational blacks here in America or if they blacks from the Congo or blacks from Cape Verde or blacks from over here, you are free. You get a pass. You get a license. It is acceptable because

Everybody in the world is better than black folks. That's what these people have been led to believe. But as I say to folks all the time, as I go to break, you can lie to everybody else, but you can't lie to yourself. And you know, when we show up, we show out. That's why you look at how we dominate in anything we get our foot in the door on. And we have to do it.

with fewer resources, less support, fewer dollars. But we show up and we show out every day on time. So for the folks that are watching these soccer games, I don't want y'all to lose the fact that a lot of these black athletes are hated. They gonna cheer for you.

But the racism the throwing banana peels on the fields that we've seen in previous years the stuff the anger stuff that the fans do and say Because it irks people That we show up with less and do more every time I'll be right back WNOV. All right, welcome back to the show a couple quick things fault callers here I come but some folks have reached out to ask about

TMJ for not being available on their local cable networks, so I know like we have AT&T and we can't get TMJ for and People who have direct TV. I'm like people still got direct TV They can't get TMJ for

and NBC. So there is something, if you go to TMJ4's website, they say, look, if you have lost access to TMJ4 and NBC, contact Direct TV by calling 1-866-KEEPUS. Just look for the letters on your phone. Keep us six and ask them to restore your program. And so it must be some type of contract dispute and, you know,

shenanigans going on. And so it says Direct TV, multi-billion dollar corporation that controls programming, distribution for millions of Americans has removed TMJ for trusted locally produced news along with key sports and entertainment program from its channel lineup. We're working hard to restore your program. But in the meantime, here's how you can keep watching us. So all they really tell you is that called Direct TV.

TV and say look I want to be able to watch TMJ for or you can go to an antenna Who's got an antenna on a TV? Nobody But you can get their signal over the air through an antenna or you can go to their streaming apps and you can watch TMJ's other content They say for our station on Samsung TVs LG channels Amazon Prime video and connected but

I am actually someone who likes TMJ4. And so it's been crazy because like without fail, you know, I just click channel four and it's not coming up. I'm like, what the heck is going on? So yeah, a couple of people have reached out to ask what is going on with TMJ4. They are in a contract dispute. I'm assuming, uh, or, you know, whatever, but y'all got to get an antenna or

a streaming package. Let me go to the phone line, get these callers in. Hey, caller, what's happening? Good morning. You're a busy young lady. You're a story about that lady. I'm impressed with you. Like we used to talk about Leah Taylor and how you guys would be right around telling helping people that is astounding. And this is what it's all about. Civil society and you are astounding and blown away. That was an incredible story.

Furthermore, that was just beautiful. Thank you. That was incredible. That's embarrassing for me. You know, just the energy you got. You must love it. You must really love your fellow man, the old fashioned language. And that story you told the other day, you blew my mind. You know, we put that thing about, you know, hey, black people took slaves and everything and going back and forth.

You bypassed the whole argument when you told the thing that it was economics. I've never heard you describe it. We all have to learn at our own pace, but you broke through my mind. And you said, when you ripped apart a whole population, there's no, you know, the tribe can reconcile with the other tribe, right? But you made it like Mars attacks. Like there comes the Marses and they just swoop and down and you're taking their passengers back. You're at the 10% because that's a huge drop, even if it's 2% of your population.

like we were talking about population dropping and collapsing, as I said, you just explain it in a way that blew my mind. And that was a good meditation for me that blew my mind. So that's the one thing. And then he said that guy kept bugging you. And it was brilliant again. He said, you don't know me. Just pull me away again, because it's important what you said. It's a lesson for each of us.

And then the other thing, when you said, hey, watch what you say when you say, you got a fact. This is a fact. Watch it because people that like me to get the information that that is so, that's another lesson. You're like a school teacher. There's so many things. I don't know, you should write a little book about your auto. I don't know if you keep notes on your activity. Then the personal, oh, that's what I recovered. I had to write this on a cheese box.

because my mind is getting exercise just that. So I don't know how many people because it's still busy. There's a couple other things, but you have to go because there's a zillion people on the phone, right? Yes, sir. Well, I figured I'd give you some four little props there because it's just astounding. It blew my mind. I'm trying to get my coffee. So we'll talk. You deserve some props.

I don't know what happened to her, because you don't talk about it much anymore, but my dad was a doctor. He had these things. We asked her to phone for him. Right till her hurts, you know what I mean? But we didn't care, because we were little kids, and they had daddy. So we had the phone, and he said, okay, don't worry, it'll be okay. We'll talk to you after you got to go over and go get the emergency. You know, you guys don't like the town doctor, you know? It's astounding. Civil society is what cultures call it, conservatives call it civil society, and you're astounding.

Absolutely. You gotta know that. You gotta know that. If nobody ever said it. Thank you, John. I'm thanking you on behalf of everybody. Nope, I appreciate the call this morning. Thank you. Talk to you soon. All right now. All right, fine. All right. Let me just do this. All y'all hitting me up talking about y'all antennas.

I got antennas in my kitchen right now with shell Teresa I enjoy my antennas throughout my home and all my channels are coming through

I love us. I love us. I love us. I love us. Somebody else. I still have antennas on both my TVs and get TMJ with no problem. Wow. Who is this? I see, I'm like, why is my phone pinging, pinging, pinging? And then everybody, uh, yeah, the antennas is in the, in the, okay. See, this is a dude. The antennas is in the crib machine. Okay. Okay. I came with y'all. All right. A couple other quick things. Oh, I got callers.

All right, let me go to the phone. I was trying to get a couple of things in here, but maybe not. Hey, Caller, what's happening? Hey, good morning, Michelle. Good morning. Hey, how you doing, brother? What up, me? Awesome. I like the compliments that you were getting this morning. And sometimes, you know, I've been watching snowfall. Sometimes when your mind gets blown, it stays blown, but that's another thing.

Our lowest caller, brother Meach, you know, and then the amount of time he gets, he is something that people do get a chance, like John said, to learn from because you do, on a daily basis, talk about all the lies that he tells and expose, you know, just pull above the curtain, you know, or the sheet, whichever one, you know, because he does remind me a lot that he could take me deep.

I heard him doing the DNA test where he found out he was 102% black and wanted to kill himself, you know, because he wanted proximity to white supremacy so much. But when it comes to athletes showing up and showing out, I thought about Jalen Brown when you said that and how we probably missed out on somebody.

who would have been great for our community, not probably definitely. Missed out on somebody who would be great for our community. Because here's a man who, last week, you had sports commentators talking about he has a disease of intellect. And it's only a problem when the black people are smart. To say that, and he fired back on his podcast about how ridiculous that whole statement was. But comment Howard,

came on TV and said this man has to be the smartest man in the room. And when you look at his credentials, particularly in the sports realm, most of the time he would be. This is a man who studied at MIT at age 19, who could have went to basketball school like Duke or Kentucky, and went to Cal Fullerton, who was studying, doing graduate studies as a freshman.

And so yes, he and didn't need an agent to get a 300, 300 million dollar contract. Right. Negotiate. He is the smartest man in the room and his compassion for kids. There's this kid. If you get a chance to look at it, who has his jersey on a little boy, it might be seven who's crying because the Celtic has treated him and thanking him for everything he did for the Celtic. And I saw a video where later.

feeling proud of this young man and you know it is just heartwarming to see that we still have people who are bright, intelligent and who care no matter how hard they climb and I think we at the community miss out and it might have been intentional that the works don't put somebody in our community like that because I think we started up to take some smarter to do with our property in midtown.

All right, look, thank you. That connection is real bad. So it's staticky. But what you were saying was so important. I was hoping that we could kind of catch most of it. So thank you for bringing up. I appreciate you. And look, I have been meaning to get to Jaylen Brown for a minute. This back and forth with him is Steven A. And Steven A is such a...

Oh my god, he's so irritating. He's so irritating. I feel so sorry for him. Well, really, I feel sorry for me that we have to listen to it. But somebody said, is Keith O'House arrest? I was waiting for that. This text just came in. Good morning. Is Keith O'House arrest? He always at home. He just walked into the studio. He literally...

What is the timing of that? That he would have been walking in with somebody sent this text message. He will tell y'all where he's been. But Jalen Brown, when I tell you that this brother, the academic side of his genius,

And the fact that people have the audacity to be offended because he's smart. Where'd he go, Cal or Stanford? He went to... No. No, no. But he's taught at Harvard.

You know, so yeah, so born in Marietta, Georgia real quick For people that don't know about this brother stand out athlete academically gifted student who chose to play collegiate basketball at the University of Cal Berkeley In his freshman year he was named Pac-12 freshman of the year selected the first team all Pac-12

But I want to get past the basketball piece of it. Widely known for his intellectual pursuit, social activism. He founded the seven, what is that, seven years?

Foundation to bridge opportunity gaps and underserved communities, and the Boston Exchange aimed at empowering marginalized groups. He also served as an MIT Media Lab fellow and is heavily involved in educational advocacy and technology. But there is a better article that I had pulled up that I was going to go through that literally talks about all of the accomplishments.

academically and intellectually that this brother has done to the point that the quality made, including negotiating his contract. No middleman, no agent got his bread. That's right. And these people are beside themselves with him. You want to know why? Because they want him to set up in trouble. And but the thing that they don't appreciate or some of them

is that he's smarter than most of the people talking. That part. Yeah. If not all of them. And so him and Stephen A. Smith going back and forth, I'm like Stephen, you to me, you do so much just to keep your name in the paper. It's not about real substantive comments and arguments, but you looking for media. I mean, clickbait. That's what you do. Like it is literally frustrating to me. But let me just say good morning. How you doing today, Mr. Pierce? I'm good.

I thought the issue with Jaylen Brown was trying to figure out what he's going to do with his hair. Right. More than his hair. If he was going to draw it on or paint it on. No, I think that for athletes, though, and it's like the low pass brothers. You know, low pass brothers are Stanford. Yes. Educated. I mean, you know that you forget sometimes that these folks think they have thoughts.

But Steven A Smith, and you know the crazy thing he was such a great writer at the Philadelphia Enquirer That's what I first remembered money changes things, bro. You're right. I think the brand I think he he feels like that's what he needs to do be provocative and What are people that's paying them? It's paying him to be So when you making that kind of money and you got um White folks paying your

Pin your ticket you gonna do what they pretty much want you to do because your courage of Jamelle Hill when she came out that part right against What's my guy Jones? Yeah, that was cowboys and said that Jerry Jones that he was acting like a slave holder Yeah, and they ESPN got rid of her, but he was on point because what did he tell his guys if any of you all taking me

I'm going to fire you. Not only that, but the video that came out with him sitting with Jamie Foxx and how he was describing the athlete on the field before he was drafted was like, man, do you sound like you trying to boss lay or something? No, but when you think about it, look at the combines and what they do. They measure you. Yeah, it's a trading block. You up there.

And so if you're wondering about pay, Stephen A Smith, $40 million a year. He has ESPN contract, $21 million. He got the lucrative deal with Sirius XM. So this brother's worked about $100 million a year in terms of his contracts. The Sirius XM deal was $36 million for a three-year deal, so $12 million. So do you think like...

You said it was money, so you think money can corrupt people in terms of principle. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Preacher. Yeah. Yeah. And listen, man. Yeah. Come on, preacher. Yeah. Listen, man, Kendrick Lamar put out a song called Money Tree. And that song is pretty much saying that a dollar might make you say, after friends that you came with.

a dollar might turn into a million and we all rich. So he's talking about, if you look at those lyrics, he's saying that a dollar will pretty much make you do anything, turn on the people that you came in with. Is it the dollar or is it me? And what I mean by that is, it's the dollars. You know what? But how deep is your conviction? Yeah, because somebody said that

money. Money enhances whatever you are. Exactly. Yeah. Right. It just brings out. It just yeah. It brings out what you talk about that with alcohol. Yeah. Money enhances and I wish I could think of it a better way to say it but that was the the gist of it. Money enhances whatever you are. So if you somebody that you know philanthropic you care about the community

that does not change except at the level now by what you can do those things. But if you were a jerk and selfish, money is going to help highlight that. Yeah, it's going to help to highlight that. Well, you know, when the NBA players were in the bubble, the Jacobs case, that was the one that the Bucks decided they weren't going to play. And I remember LeBron James, he was very honest. He said, look, I ain't going to miss a meal because I protest.

It's these dudes who the 12 13th man who if they you know, they lose a game they losing a lot of money But you're right in terms of people having principles. What is what is my guy? I've never Ralph Formerly Chris Jackson and when he refused to Basically acknowledge the national anthem how they you know, literally destroyed this dude. Yeah ended his career, right? And and here's the thing nobody came to his

Nobody came to his defense. And he was the best shooter in the NBA. I mean, so just think about how disposable and despicable we can be to people. And again, you hop with these folks about the national anthem, but you see literal corruption going on in front of your eyes and you see American soldiers being disrespected, you know, Trump calling people out. They name don't nobody want to see an amputee. And there's no there's no backlash for that from from.

You know what and I wanted to get to that today and I didn't so I definitely appreciate

alcohol. He's a drunk. Thank you, Jeremy. Thank you, Jeremy. Oh, I'm back in the show. All right. Thank y'all for tuning in. Thank the bros. Appreciate the listeners, the callers, uh, you know, the advice. I talked to y'all in a few minutes. Peace.
