In boys' basketball action, Richland Center and River Valley was our SWC conference matchup
of the night on the radio. Phil Lee was there. Richland Center opened the Southwest Wisconsin
conference with a Friday night 56-52 win over River Valley.
The Hornet Boys took the lead for good with a minute 45 left in the hard fought seesaw battle.
The Blackhawks led by 12 points twice in the first half. Richland Center went on an 8-0 run
at the end of the firstanza and trailed by four at halftime. River Valley was up by five
with three minutes 30 seconds left before the Hornets came back to take the lead and win
to improve to two and two on the season. 1-0 in the conference.
