The Harnett girls soccer team made the trek to Goline Illinois Friday night for their first conference matchup of the season.
And they fell to nothing in a very physical game. Harnett's defense was led by Bren Anderson,
Ellis Stadler, Ren Wilson, Sylvia Schmidt and Mariah Obday, and they kept scoring to a minimum with their offside traps and stellar hustle to clear the ball away from the attacking forwards.
Keeper Lilly Tidrick recorded 11 saves. The Harnett's were able to get some shots on goal, but just couldn't connect with the back of the net.
Koch Fink is proud of the team on how they handled the physical game with the utmost respect.
The Harnett's next action is their home opener next Tuesday against River Valley.
