Prime Mover: October 26 Part One

Prime Mover · Sat Oct 26, 2024

Good time to talk about that once we're done chatting with you.

We've said, thank you and goodbye.

Go ahead and end the call and we'll get number 42 to hit end or hang up the phone.

Since you initiate the call into prime mover, you can, you can hang it up and end that

call a whole lot quicker than we can.

And we just appreciate if you could do that as part of dialing in, get your items on

and then go ahead and end the call.

It's 915 and we're at 34 degrees at WRC OFM and WRC O.com.

608 647 4155 is our number.

You are number 41. Good morning.

Good morning, Adam.

We are having a food stand out to the North Park.

We've got brats, chili dogs, barbecue, hot coffee, chocolate and cider, hot and

Building a small business takes hard work.

Protecting it takes a good neighbor.

A reliable resource for any small business owner is another small business owner.

At Julie Karen's State Farm, we are that resource with the hands-on knowledge

that we've gained from running our own small business.

We're here to assist you with the coverage and financial services

that best fit your unique needs, now and in the future.

We're all business for small business,

and that commitment starts by working closely with you

to get to know the nuances of what you do.

And like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.

Chances are you're not hearing this ad while topping 100 in your Aston Martin,

or taking a spin around town in your Rolls Royce.

But if you are then Donald Trump's tax plan is for you.

Just ask him.

Now Rich's hell, we're going to give you a tax test.

But if you're hearing this on your way to work, or school pickup,

if you're heading to the grocery store,

or wondering how long you can stretch that tank of gas,

then your plan is Kamala Harris's plan.

She'll make the wealthy and big corporations pay their fair share

so she can give the middle class a tax cut,

as well as $25,000 for first-time home buyers,

$6,000 for first-time parents,

and a $50,000 tax deduction for starting a new business.

Because that guy in the cyber truck that you zoom by

doesn't need another break.

But Kamala Harris knows, you sure could use one.

Good morning with a look at sports on WRC OFMWRC.com

and on the Civic Media app.

I'm Adam Hess.

Last night in the state of Wisconsin,

half the team's plane saw the season come to an end.

It's playoff football with a look back at our featured matchup on the radio.

Here is Phil Ne.

It was an exciting hard hitting game from start to finish.

In the end, the ethical bulldogs punched in a touchdown

and kicked an extra point to win 7-0 over visiting Randolph.

The first round WIA playoff football game turned out to be an instant classic.

The defenses took center stage.

Both teams turned the ball over in the first half.

Levi Wearsman recovered a fumble for the Rockets

and Nolan Waldener recovered one for Ethica.

Ashton Fuah picked off two passes for Randolph.

The bulldogs had to play for most of the game.

Without Wyatt Hilby,

their senior who had rushed for 1,032 yards coming into the game

and also as one of the leaders on defense.

He was injured early in the game.

Ethica drove to the Randolph 6-yard line during the first drive of the second half

before turning it over on downs.

The game was scoreless until 6-18 left.

Ethica was able to cap off a drive with a two-yard run by senior Wesley Nelson.

Baltazar Kaiser kicked the extra point to make it 7-0.

Randolph mounted a drive on the next possession,

a long pass play from quarterback Ben Paul

to wide receiver Nick Madema took the ball inside the 10-yard line of Ethica.

The bulldogs defense stood tall and eventually forced them to turn the ball over on downs

with 20 seconds remaining.

Senior Wesley Nelson talked afterwards about the ball game.

Good game. Here's a tough game.

We've had to come out and play our best game and we got it done.

That was a close one.

It looked like it was just really hard to hitting out there on both sides.

You feel that?

Oh yeah. We were both hard in games and we both brought our best game and

yeah, we're going to be feeling it tomorrow that you're sure.

That last drive that you put together and you scored you just kind of

wheeled your way to the end of the show and you're lying really

doing a good job for you, wasn't it?

Yeah, it was a slow process but the line they just kept fighting and we stayed

strong up front and punched it in and it's all matters.

With the 7-0 win, Ethica is now 10-0 on the season

and will rematch with Johnson Creek level 2 playoff football.

Next week, the Bulldogs lost on a late touchdown at Johnson Creek one year ago.

The Blue Jays beat Royal on Friday night 26-22 to advance to the second round.

I'm Phil Nee for WRCO Sports.

Thank you Phil.

Besides the Ethica Randolph and Johnson Creek Royal matchups, other Division 7 finals,

Cambria Freesland shut down Hillsboro 48-12.

Number one seeded Kenosha St. Joseph, Catholic 35, Kenosha Christian Life, nothing.

Cochran Fountain City got by Wazika Stubin, Seneca 12-7,

Sectional cross-country meets are going on this weekend across Wisconsin.

On Friday at Black River Falls, Richland Center Ithaca had strong races and personal

best at the division to event. The team had three runners qualify for state.

Ryan Stadler and Clayton Lee will be going to the state meet for the second time,

and Grace Fretz will be competing for the first time.

The Richland Center Ithaca boys team missed advancing to next week's meet at Wisconsin

Rapids by a single place for the second year in a row. All across the state of Wisconsin,

there is WIA regional volleyball tonight. The Richland Center Hornets travel to Aquinas

in the regional title match that will first serve at 7 o'clock this evening.

Also in the area in Division 5, Seneca is headed to Ithaca for a 7 o'clock start time tonight.

WRCOLF coverage coach Angie Young of the Bulldogs. Talk to us about the match.

I think Seneca's strong point is definitely their defense. They have a really quick,

really strong defensive team, and they really like to challenge our hitters.

So definitely going to be really important for us to play very aggressive,

and have that front roll really working that defensive for Seneca because it's certainly

presented a challenge for us in the past. Both regular season games that we play with Seneca

have been five set games. So I anticipate that will certainly be a showdown between the two teams.

The pre-match time begins around 6.35 this evening at FM 100.9 and WRCOLF.com.
