Veterans Day is just days away and this week’s NEWisco Weekend is all about Veterans and Veterans Day.

Teri Barr brings us the cover story; an interview about a Marinette man who is partially responsible for the Veterans Day holiday.

The opening feature from Lisa Hale is on a group of teens who are raising money for Old Glory Honor Flights for Vets.

Jimmie Kaska brings us a sports story on a big deal for the Greater Green Bay Area. Savanna Tomei Olson has a story on some Veterans Day related bills in front of the state legislature and Connie Fellman recounts how the Packers tie into veterans assistance.

Jo Ann Krulatz looks at Operation Green Light. Pete Schwaba takes us to basic training with the classic cinema pick of the week, and Amanda Nimmer encourages Veterans to use the benefits available to them. And our musical segment is from Operation Song.
