Hello. Seth, good morning, and the best listeners and radio. Thanks for being here. Everybody hope you're having a good one out there.

Good morning, show of the week, but we'll be back at this next week and more on that little bit later we'll get into our schedule.

Some good stories of the day. Some great events going on in their area. Very busy weekend.

It's an extremely busy weekend. Yes. A lot going on there. We'll get into a little bit of science news a little bit later.

What's something you just don't get the appeal of? What's something you just don't quite understand.

I don't get why people love soda. Whatever it might be that we'll get into that a little bit later.

Let's dive right into entertainment where we see goodbye to a guitar legend. Kiss legend Ace Freely passed away yesterday. He was 74 years old.

He was hospitalized with a brain bleed after suffering a fall a few weeks ago.

So his family had to take him off life support. He is going to be very missed. Ace was the lead guitarist and space man of the band.

Kiss from its inception in 73 to his departure in 82. Then again back in the 90s for an episode of MTV Unplugged.

And then of course the big reunion tour where I and a lot of us got to see them when they came to Madison the Coles Center back in the 96-97 tour I believe.

He also made two albums in the 80s. Freely's Comet. His own band Freely's Comet of course. And released some solo stuff as well later.

Last year he released 10,000 volts an album there. Kiss songs he wrote, cold gin, parasite, talk to me, shook me.

I don't know if he wrote Beth, but I believe he's the one that sings Beth. I think he's the one that sings Beth the most positive of that.

I apologize to the kiss army. Although Ace was often at odds with Paul Stanley and Jean Simmons like all of them were like every band in human history.

They both released statements about his passing both Paul and Jean. They said, quote, we are devastated by the passing of Ace Freely.

He was an essential irreplaceable rock soldier during some of the most formative foundational chapters of the band's history.

He is and always will be a part of Kiss' legacy. Our thoughts are with those that loved him including our fans around the world.

Jean also added a personal statement saying he said Ace won't be there when Kiss gets a Kennedy Center honor in December.

And on Facebook, original Kiss drummer Peter Chris said he and his wife were among family and friends who were with Ace at the end.

It's nice, I don't know in these moments, I think we all try to take silver linings here and that he wasn't alone, that he was around.

It's not only friends and family, but somebody like Peter Chris was there with him. That's beautiful.

That's really nice.

And if you are a Kiss fan, as you can imagine, the Kiss army is out in full drove.

When we are talking about iconic bands, when you lose the first member of an iconic band because he's the first one to go up the floor, it hits different.

I think so.

I think it so, I really does.

I just think about this time of year, how many people have dressed up as a member of Kiss.

Because everyone had their favorite guy, either their favorite member or makeup, they just like that one makeup and so they would go as Ace or Peter Chris or whatever like that.

I have a really funny Kiss story, but it would take a very long time to tell, so I'm not going to take up the air with it.

But I didn't see them in concert in 2018 and have listening to them saying I was made for loving you.

Live was one of the coolest concert moments of my life.

And I'm just here to further perplex Seth with my music tastes.

Yeah, she's very confusing.

Yeah, odd, odd person.

Very odd.

I've ceased trying to figure it out.

No, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't.

I got to see them in that 96, 97 tour and everything.

And I was blown away by every one of those individuals.

They were all incredible showmen.

Each one of them were their own like MC, their own leading man.

They all could do their own thing.

And they all had a moment where they were all doing solos.

Peter Chris is going crazy on the drums.

I think that they moved around a little bit.

You of course had the demon with Gene Simmons and the blood and all that and the tongue.

Paul Stanley, I don't know if he did this at your show,

but was like on a zip, a zip thing or something.

A zip line, a zip line where he was literally going out into the crowd.

Oh wow.

Oh wow.

Wow.

And you might have been a little too old by the time you saw him do that.

Yeah, I was going to say because I saw him in 2018.

He was, they were in their 70s probably then.

You guys have got given that part up.

Yeah.

Yeah.

When Ace came out, I'm like, okay, what's he going to do?

I think he had the last solo of all of them.

I'm not 100% on that.

But he starts wailing on the guitar.

One of the better soloists there is.

And then all of a sudden, I'm like, wait a minute.

Is his guitar on fire?

And it looks like, oh, there's smoke coming out of it.

Okay, that's a cool little prop.

No, wait a minute.

It's literally on fire while he's playing it.

Like just an incredible showman.

Incredible show.

Yeah.

You cannot tell the history of rock and roll without kiss.

No.

No, that's a heck of a man.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yes.

Very, very.

Everyone did disco.

Even the stones.

I think kiss was maybe the most controversial one.

Yeah.

Of all that you're 100% right.

Yeah.

Everybody touched in disco.

Yeah.

Everybody tried to make some money off of it.

Yeah.

I don't think anybody to this day gets as much heat for it as.

As kids go.

That's very right.

He got it back.

I'm actually going to have to give it to the stones on that one.

You should see the outfits they're wearing when they're doing.

Yeah.

Oh.

I can only imagine.

At least kids had the smarts to keep their own stuff.

Right.

I want to take a second to talk about.

I think on my list, he is the third or fourth high on my favorite action stars of all

time.

He's probably third or fourth on my list.

Chuck Spadena.

Chuck Spadena has had a career.

He's been around since we were kids, you know, going from comedy to action to a number of

other different.

Oh, wait a minute.

I'm sorry.

Did I say Chuck?

Yeah.

I was so confused.

I mixed them up all the time.

It's not my fault.

It's not my fault.

I do this.

It's actually Kiano's fault because that was the name that Kiano Reeves was going to go

by Chuck Spadena.

No.

Chuck Spadena.

Yeah.

Oh.

Yeah.

So when Kiano arrives in LA at 20 years old, his management wanted him to change his name.

No, you're never going to get a career with the name Kiano Reeves.

You're not going to get any work.

We need to change your name.

This is something he and many of us actors have gone through, including my most recent

agent is the first I've had seven agents.

I think seven or eight.

Wendy is the first out of all of them to not suggest to me to change my name.

Wow.

This is the first one out of all of them to not ask me to change mail off to Smith or something

else or anything else like that.

Just literally anything other than mail off.

And so this is something that happens almost every actor that walks in there.

Even if your name is John Smith, they're going to ask you to change your name.

They're going to do it.

It's just something that happens.

Yeah.

And I don't even think half of these agents, I think they just do it because that's what the

agents did before them.

Yeah.

We've always done it this way.

Well, now I just want an agent to see what they would suggest to me.

So I've already got a weird name.

Yeah.

I always have whether it was my maiden or my married name.

Yeah.

So he gets to LA.

They ask him to change his name.

And here's what he has to say.

Quote.

My middle name is Charles.

So I was like Chuck.

I grew up on a street called Spadina.

Therefore Chuck Spadina.

Oh, nice.

That's in good.

Then it was something.

Then it was Templeton.

It was Chuck Templeton.

That's awful.

Then he became Casey Reeves for a little while.

Oh.

He was Casey Reeves.

Casey as in the initials.

Casey.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Then I couldn't do it.

So then I would be in auditions and then they would go Casey Reeves.

And I wouldn't even answer.

So he didn't recognize.

He didn't catch it and everything.

He was not used to it.

So six months later I was like, I'm not doing this.

That's a Hollywood moment.

Where he's like, I'm not doing this anymore.

I'm going to either make a break it on this name.

Yeah.

Kiano shared this thoughts on the new Heights podcast

where when he was asked if he had a welcome to Hollywood moment.

And this was the Hollywood moment.

The only time he was credited to Casey Reeves was in a made for TV film

The Magical World of Disney called Young Again in 1986.

Oh.

I didn't want to be looking that one up.

I did.

And it's awesome.

I can relate to the not answering to the name though.

Because when I entered high school, I had, you know, my name is Alia.

And it's not a very, it wasn't in the 90s a very commonly known name.

And when I went to high school, I'm like, oh, I'm going to go by Ali.

And so all through high school, everyone called me Ali.

And then in college, I went back to Alia.

And so when I would be around my high school friends, they'd be like,

Ali, Ali, Ali.

And I just be like, are you talking to me?

Are you talking to me?

Are you talking to me?

My name is Alia.

I don't see anybody else around me.

You must be talking to me.

No, it's the other five Alias in your class, right?

I was always the only one now.

It's a very, it's a more common name.

But no, everyone always asks me, how did you get that name?

Well, my parents gave it to me.

Many moons ago.

Nice.

How does anyone get their name initially?

They don't say they give a name.

Hey, you, you know, that doesn't work very well.

It was the doctor's suggestion.

Yes, exactly.

My parents had nothing to do with it.

Have you ever met my son, pancreas?

Yes.

His doctor's name there.

Yes.

My dad was a doctor.

My dad was a doctor.

If he would have named me pancreas, we would have had some fights.

I'm growing up.

I push back on my name even from the first word I said.

My mom is yelling, Jim, Jim, Jim.

And I'm in the middle of the hallway.

I just started going, what?

What?

What?

My first word was what?

I would not answer to Jim when I was really young.

And this would drive my family crazy to the point where that's all they'd call me is Jim or Jimmy.

So, like, yeah.

That's one of those ones.

Now that I know you, I can't, like, I could never, that can't even, like, exit my mouth.

Like, you're just James.

You know, if you need another name to call him, just go by Knight Rider.

He doesn't have to do that.

So, turns.

You can call me Knight Hawk.

As a sign of the times, this year's Lifetime Holiday lineup includes a movie called A Pickleball

Christmas.

Oh my gosh.

There are 12 new Christmas movies in total, premiering every week and from November 29th to December

20th.

Some familiar faces you'd recognize include Brandy, Vivica Fox, Jackie Henry, Ariel Kebel,

some names that are going to be in these movies.

Yep.

The Lifetime Movie Network is also premiering a new movie called Do You Fear What I Fear?

About a secret Santa stalker.

Oh dear.

That's very Lifetime-y, though.

I have to give credit for that one.

Yeah, that's the inspiration.

They have those kind of weird shows there every now and then.

I can't prove this.

But, you know, things you just know are true.

I believe with every bit that I am that at Lifetime and at Hallmark, there is a room

of writers and they come up with, okay, I got one.

Do You Fear What I Fear?

And they create a movie around the title.

Oh yeah.

They just come up with these titles.

Hey, everybody, everybody, I got it, I got it.

I know we've been trying to go over the new one.

How about a pickleball Christmas?

Oh, that's fantastic.

because we all like different things.

Don't let anybody tell you, oh, you shouldn't watch these or shame you on anything.

Like what you like.

But I believe this with every fiber of my being that these movies are created just out of like,

I mean, they're obviously marketing movies.

They're obviously, hey, what's big right now pickleball?

So we'll make a pickleball movie.

Right.

Big right now people love horror.

So we're gonna make a Christmas horror movie.

You know, that's, that's, and again, this is what Hollywood has always done.

This is just market.

It's pure exploitation.

And there's nothing wrong with that.

I came up with a tagline for this movie.

A pickleball Christmas?

Yes, yes.

Where love is a big deal.

Oh, nice.

I'm trying to come up with others, but that's the only one that came to the surface right now.

And they're creating it now with the county thing.

I haven't watched every season of The Simpsons.

But my favorite one to this day, and they did this, I think, first season, second season,

is them, Homer doing a reading, an actual reading of the Raven.

Looking at what's new on your big screen again, you're not going to have any big releases

is probably until closer to how things, I mean, maybe you're going to see some horror

movies like the Black Phone 2, where they basically just give away the, they ruin the first movie

in the trailer.

I've never seen the first one.

But the second one, they're telling you right away, like the lead character, Ethan Hawkes

character in the first one, he's dead.

Like they tell you that in the trailer for it.

So I'm like, why would I watch the first one?

Yeah, it's boiled for you.

It's really, it's really weird.

I don't know.

What would they do that in the trailer, though?

It looks like a real money grab.

I'm sorry.

Yeah, it really does.

But if you like the first one, maybe check it out.

Sure.

But a movie that's getting some really, really great reviews, good fortune, rated R.

Kiana Reeves plays a well-meaning, but inept, guardian angel, Aziz and Ari, Seth Rogan

are also in this Kiki Palmer, Sandra O.

Looks like a bit of a darker comedy.

And it looks pretty good.

Yeah, it looks really good.

And it's interesting casting in that one, wow.

It's a very Kiano kind of just like laid more laid back, not as intense as we've seen

him in John Wick and some of these more recent performances and everything.

I actually saw a interview with Aziz and sorry where he said his age, when he wrote the

script and his agent was like, hey, what if we had Kiana Reeves come play this character?

And Aziz was like, can we get Kiano?

And then they got Kiano and he was just like throwing Kiano like Abs or Chuck Spadina.

Really, really, really loved that suggestion.

Sure, yeah.

That was the name.

That was awesome.

That's my goodness.

That is very sophisticated, yeah, and everything.

Especially as it's become much more of a money maker for a lot of our agonistry and a lot of our farmers out there.

They've gone all out on this and the tech that, I think one of the most interesting convert,

or interesting topics if you have not been paying attention or you don't know much about ag industry or what our farmers are doing or anything,

is the way that that industry has adapted to technology and really embraced it.

And really, it's made the industry so much stronger.

The information so much better.

It's really interesting.

Right, right, right.

And in bird news, a study found that a solar eclipse can reset a bird's biological clock.

What?

As the sun comes back out, they think it's morning.

So it just throws them completely off.

Oh, wow, that's interesting.

So we are not alone in being like a little like, hey, doesn't the moon just seem to affect things?
