Brittany threw me sorry that was great that was awesome. Good morning Wisconsin morning world
it's a new day thanks for kicking it off with us at WF HR take it Marvin got your host
James behind the mic joined by Seth good morning and the best listeners and radio thanks
for joining us everybody we hope you're having a good one out there Seth and I got a
bunch of great stuff to get to in this nine o'clock hour a little bit later we're going
to touch on a a fun one the five rudest things to do at a movie theater okay we'll do that
after telling what's new in movie theaters and you're your local theater here and that
will also get into a couple of other fun topics got our scheduled to touch on good stories
of the day good things going on in our area got a lot of local events this weekend that's
right going on we'll get into all of that but we kick off the hour with some entertainment
news and how do the boss become the boss hmm I'm curious that's this is a good one man
do you ever want to have Bruce Springsteen earn the nickname the boss it's interesting and
well it's because he paid his band and crew he says quote or he says hey quote hey boss you know
are we getting paid this week and he would say sure and then some DJ heard it and started using
it on the radio and you know it just kind of went viral or at least what viral was back then yeah
basically radio yeah so I like this and this happened a lot more than I think people realize
I want to say chubby checker got his nickname in some ways from radio DJ or something along
these lines right KC case him had a couple that he helped and I don't even know if it was on air
I think some of it was off air but this is actually something that used to happen a little bit
it did yes not ton but it did happen from time to time but what a wild way for that to happen how
a cool and organic way and it is it got to be one of the more least shocking things to hear like
the actual reasoning behind this like the fact that he was taking care of his guys yes right like
that's like I mean think about it when you're up in you there's no money when you first start with
with bands like this guys are just doing it because they want to you know play and they you know
hope that maybe someday they can do it for a living right so if you have a guy that's actually
willing to do that yeah I bet you they loved it now this is also a guy who especially early
in his career was looked at as the next Dylan was looked at as the next folk singer in some of
this stuff now of course that that changed pretty quickly in his career right by his second album
certainly by born in the USA it was it was rocking pretty hard by then yeah but everything about
his career is is blue collar yes everything and into this day is blue collar even with some of his
you know tunnel of love and some of the stuff where he put on a suit or a little bit was still pretty
blue collar and everything in his voice he could never get away from it even with his voice no
and I say all this with love I'm a Bruce Springsteen fans yes but with with that with the net
moniker boss and the blue collarism those don't mix very well so does Bruce even like being called
the boss and he says it has dogged me to my whole life it still does I've gotten used to it but I've
given up and gotten you I've get because he's just given up yeah they're trying to stop people
for music it right if I ever have the fortune of interviewing Bruce Springsteen I will never call him
that oh I don't think he likes it at all no he's just got numb to it yeah like I'm glad if I
were to like my luck I would get the golden opportunity to interview Bruce say you got 10 minutes
of Bruce Springsteen yeah right awesome my first question would have been how you got the nickname
the boss right it had been ended it had been John Mellike ball over again and it's all because of
names James that's all because of names that's wild to me I cannot wait to tell my dad this story is
going to flip out over I you know I there's got to be something like that of people who have like
really famous nicknames and they're like yeah you know do you like it well you know whatever
I've been trying to shoe hard and then to the sunrise are to unlabeled if you haven't heard
Bruce Springsteen's cover of the Ghost of Tom Jot oh man that's good song oh it's so good
gotta hear that one everybody Tom Cruise what we brought up earlier pulls off some wild stunts
of course in this recent mission of possible movie it's the reason he's still doing them
he wants to do anymore yeah yeah he's hanging off a plane in this one and real it's really him
he basically saw what Jackie Chan was doing and said oh I'm gonna I'm gonna try to steal that
basically right and he's done it in the last mission of possible movie I think the weakest of all
the mission of possible movies and I've seen them all and I've watched them all multiple times
and completely a whole heartily a wound up to I am a sucker for action movie sure um this last
one wasn't that great but he has a I see where he jumps off a bike jumps he's on a bike jumps off
a cliff and then off of that bike he parachutes parachutes and he did it like one take and did it
yeah like it's incredible uh it's it's it's Jackie Chan level a little bit under that yeah but it's
Jackie Chan level of of stunt work and and I think has um I hope in some ways this is his intent
and I give him some grace with this because he is a thinker um Tom Cruise has made a career off
of action movies and Tom Cruise has made a year a career off of action movies thanks to stuntman
um stuntman are probably the most underappreciated people in all of the movie industry 100%
um look up uh how long they've had a union yeah like it happened yesterday yeah like we have
never given enough credit to stuntman to that point as many awards as they love to hand out and
all these darn award shows where's the stuntman award I mean I've been asking that since I was a kid
let alone since 2008 and I've been a part of the guild and I'll reach out I've actually emailed
people who are a lot bigger and a lot more power than I have why are we not giving credit to stuntman
yeah why is there no best actor best actor's award for best stuntman best stunt woman
that's why aren't they in the actors union yes they they should even be in their performers
they're performing they're important performers yeah they are performers yes they are actors
they are entertainers I've met a number of them not a lot but I've met a number of them
and the work that they put into this yeah they're performers yeah um it's ridiculous yeah it's
an insult to the work um and I hope that he's trying to bring light to that yes um in mission
impossible the final reckoning there's a scene where he hangs and crawls on the wings of a
1940s era biplane at 120 miles per hour Tom says quote the amount of energy it takes I train so hard
for the wing walking I'll eat like sausage and almost a dozen eggs and bacon and toast and coffee
and fluids it's all he's doing is eating before these scenes so he's doing this to give his body
enough energy and calories right because of what it takes to be able to be able to do it right but
it also feels like the worst way to do this because I mean an upset stomach like I feel like
that's just guaranteed to happen if you walk into it knowing I'm gonna get a little head you know
headwind yeah right I'm gonna have enough set something um a picture it's cold up there
we're at high altitude my body is burning a lot Tom is constantly training in a variety of skills
quote whether it's the piano or having more time to dance or parachuting or flying airplanes
he's doing all this stuff it's almost like he's trying to stave off old age it's almost what it
sounds like if I keep busy if I keep working out and doing all this stuff yeah I'd like to do
this thing where something like this where okay they're trying the the last mission of possible
movies coming out so I want to watch all of them in a row and I can't obviously do this in a day
or two it takes time to do this over a year maybe even over a year would take me with my schedule
and everything right I started I didn't I started watching the first mission of possible a little
bit and turned it off I saw Tom cruise like I don't know who that is he don't look anything like
that anymore man like it and I don't I'm not saying he's had a lot of work done or had any work
done or anything like that he's just aged yeah and I it's kind of funny because he's one of those
guys I it's stuck up on me I didn't really think about it he's never really aged to me right you
know like a lot of people I'm sure exactly and I'll be coming out at the end of the month um
wanted to touch on this one too because I what we were talking about earlier actually plays into
this a little bit and you're kind of the shine off the Marvel movies and Marvel universe you know
dimming a little bit and everything um as a as a as a as a quick note on that DCs coming like I'm
not a big DC guy or anything like that but James gun in the head of that right now in this new
Superman movie that's coming out yeah it looks incredible right it looks incredible like they got
to write this time it looks really good the only thing is the only thing that I I feel
and because I'm not a DC fan but I'm a James gun fan and I'm like and he's very creative man
and he does really cool stuff is it the thing that I'm worried about is that the ship is sailed
now maybe they are still making some really good movies some superhero movies you know and the
the DC fans are finally going to get their stuff you know and everything and that's cool I'm
not going to watch him but yeah yeah I have no problem with that or but isn't be like eh it's
been done before there might be a man who's been too late in the game but we'll see what happens
I think that's a big fear for a lot a lot of the movie industry right now right we never
got a second season of Hawkeye and Jeremy Renner just revealed why he was offered half the
amount of his season one salary and this was after his snow plow accident on New Year's day 2023
right quote I'm like wow it's going to take me twice the amount of work for half the amount of
money eight months of my life essentially and do it for half the amount now I couldn't do that
no do you think I'm only half the Jeremy because I got ran over that's a good line man that's
a good line now Jeremy made made sure to mention that he's not blaming Marvel or Disney quote
it's just the penny pinchers the accountants I told him to go fly a kite it's an insult I
still love the character and still would do it but I had to defend myself yeah I didn't ask for
any more money I mind you he didn't he didn't ask for he expected the same exact contract he
had for the first one mm-hmm just pay me what you paid me the first season he says yeah so it's
a little disheartening but it's fine he's got other work and Jeremy Renner's an incredible actor
and will continue to have work right but to assess point about the saturation of the market
creatives are like oh well we we just got to do it differently or we just got to do this or whatever
and then producers and directors come in the room and say okay that's all right but yes
it's include this celebrity or do this or my son wants to be in the movie or something and then
the accountants get involved and that's when the real decisions are made right for sure it's all
about the black it's all the money finishing in the black and if you'd just even close to it it's
not enough you got to finish in the black so to points assess point about having been just made
with Marvel universe he's not alone they saw this and they got scared yeah and to anybody wanting
to get angry I bit Jeremy Renner for this there is no 401k for actors and if you put eight months
of your life aside you need to get eight an eight-month paycheck right that's a boy that's a great
point we because I think people I don't know if people get how long a lot of these productions make
eight months is forever he can't do any other work in that yes Disney owns him for that eight
months yep so he could have the greatest work offer in the world offered to him and he has to say no
he could be offered billions of dollars to do a two-second cameo and has to turn it down because
he's Disney's boy yep that's the way this game works and you can't to me that's no more getting
mad at somebody than saying hey your company whatever you do for a living they want to pay you
half of what you were paid last month but they were for same amount of work for eight months for eight
months yeah like no I don't blame him at all at all I mean and I like it the way he came out and
said it he's like I can't do it I'm sorry I'm not willing to do it and and why should I I don't
expect people to feel sorry for Jeremy or actors or anything like that a lot of money I just
looking to have some empathy Jeremy's a grown man in every actor including myself from the smallest
level to the Jeremy let Renner level know what we signed up for but at the same time I think you
could have some understanding of why this stuff what this goes on behind the scenes and how much it
right you know it was all supposed to be about creativity movies TV what we're doing right here in
radio even it was always supposed to come down to creativity and more and more as this game goes
along that is taken out of the out that is that element is taking out of things yeah whether we're
talking about sports and letting athletes just be themselves in interviews or we're talking about
movies or even music nowadays where 99% of it is written by somebody in a studio and they
presented this some you know something else somebody oh this artist did this no they didn't
no they wrote they they wrote anything it was in their private jet yes meanwhile the the producers
and all these people continue to make tons and take no hits yeah take no blame of this or anything
right look at what's new in your small screen big screen and your local theater stage Friday on
peacock this year's premiere of black bag a spy thriller starring Michael fastbender and Kate
Blanchett well that's some heavy hitters all right god it looks great Saturday on NBC USA in peacock
the Kentucky Derby official post time is 657 pm watch those horses running in an oval yeah
well done is there anything shorter with a build up bigger than the Kentucky Derby because the
buildup is so huge and then the race takes what a minute and a half you know whatever it is yeah
one of my favorite people in the game especially TV actors Quintina Brunson host sent in it live
you know her from haven't elementary and second city zone I'll say Benson Boone is the musical guest
I can't she's I think it's her second time hosting I'm looking forward to that ladies night on
American Idol on ABC on Sunday at 7 o'clock episode four of the last of us who that the ratings
dropped heavy on that one that's a tough one they're having there they're if I'm the writers at
the last of us I'm like what I'm looking at the people like with game of thrones and everything they
did it how come they got away with it like I don't want to spoil anything but that's all I'm
going to say right the very similar thing happened on that show and they're not feeling the same
the second season premiere of the walking dead dead city the on Sunday it's at 10 9 o'clock
on ABC the time 100 the world's most influential people the series finale of the righteous gemstones
wraps up on HBO and Sunday on Netflix Conan O'Brien the Kennedy Center Mark Twain prize for
American humor cannot wait to watch that one's cool oh I can't wait also on Sunday Disney on
May the 4th the Star Wars premiere of Tales of the Underworld so well done by Disney to have
something premiere on May the 4th very very smart that one I don't know if it's a kids version or
if it's a kid show or not because the trailer I saw didn't look like a kid show I'm guessing it's
not I'm guessing in fact this is probably a a variation when when George Lucas still owned
Lucasfilm they were looking at doing a TV show called Underworld looking at the underbelly of the
galaxy that's what it is that's got to be what what it's based on is that series that never happened
so that's I didn't know that that's interesting because I saw that I watched the trailer for it
in a media I didn't watch the Clone Wars but I know how huge they were right to a generation
that was their Star Wars that was the Star Wars yeah this looks like the same animation and same
creators I wonder if they're just following that age group maybe they are just aging it a little bit
up a little bit yeah that's not that makes sense totally makes sense yeah and oh what's new in
theaters what's new on your local theater stage we will get to that when we come back on the
morning show here at WFHR welcome back everybody mornings at WFHR set in James tag team in it
I hope you guys are having a good one out there I wanted to get into just a little bit of
more entertainment news that I wanted to be able to take some time to talk some local theater new
movies in this to in your theaters tonight of course you heard us bring up Thunderbolts rated PG-13
the newest Marvel movie that is out supposed to do gangbusters sinners is still supposed to do
very good as well well that's got some staying power wow that has a chance to be it's already
one of the top grossing movies of its you know genre of all time and it has a chance to be even
bigger after this weekend I'm so curious to see how it does compared to a superhero movie
and if it finishes number two number three or number one I mean I don't know Al Betzeroth right
now right the accountant part two is also in theaters along with the Minecraft movie which again
another one that's got legs wow that one's been sticking around for a while the movie theater
industry having a nice little run here nothing great nothing but not bad for them right I think
I think Hollywood needs to maybe take the the right conclusions to like what's going on right now
the Minecraft movie I mean critics pretty much didn't like it but if you look at what what the
people have gone to see it the ratings are much higher that's what you need to do man
I'm gonna find out what people are enjoying and and please draw the right conclusions from it please
and trying to uh uh go off of the the hype of that and the the coattails of that with my pong movie
finally they thought they said it shouldn't be done and they said stop doing that why why are you
doing this in a world where bumpers destroy everything uh movies two minutes long Ben Affleck stars
as bumper number one bumper number one mad demon is bumper number two you've never seen them
like this before it's just them it's just standing straight up still yeah this bumping a ball
and it has the ball no man answers that but he would always be one of those right he would yes
he was great it's sorry man and uh of course new we talked earlier about some new plays coming out
we're in the Lincoln high school the lightning thief uh premiering tonight at seven o'clock another
show tomorrow at seven um and then uh on uh main third of seven uh seven Saturday seven o'clock
show and wraps up on Sunday at two o'clock matinee got it all performances at the performing art
center yep courage it show up get on over there everybody yes indeed um and of course Wisconsin
Rapids Community Theater has begun their run of their final main stage show for the 50th season yes
very exciting a big shout out to the cast of noises off um I heard great things about last night
opening night was really successful you've had a lot of people there excellent excellent
congratulations to Melissa K in the cast and crew and everybody that worked so hard on that one
um I'm gonna bring this up with Phil on the sunrise show on Wednesday when he joins us for a
wicked awesome word of Wednesday I heard that the gang equality plus showed up down there and had
signs and everything and it went pretty good awesome uh and just a big tip of the theater had to
everybody that that is a tough show to do um and they're they're just they're just doing a great
job with it shows you when you when you when you get a good group of people together you can do
anything man you can do anything they've worked so hard on this one and put so much time and effort
into it months into it uh to make this the timing and the chemistry worked so well and uh I've
heard nothing but great things about it right I was gonna I was talking to Lori yesterday about
Melissa taking on this project and I said I would never have done that direct that one they could
have paid me a lot of money and nope nope so I gotta give all credit to Melissa and the crew yeah yeah
enjoying enjoying it everybody enjoy the run uh and get your tickets at WRC theater dot org and
get it out on there uh they got a show tonight at seven and tomorrow two o'clock matinee next week
they'll come back Thursday Friday seven o'clock shows it'll wrap it up next Saturday with the two
o'clock matinee yes uh a special shout out to our our team around here uh doing double duty
this weekend uh we're gonna have uh Ashley at the WBAs this weekend and that's really cool I'm
happy for an excited first she's earned that yeah good for ash um our sales and marketing had
around here yep and uh Laura and Melissa are gonna be showing up at the WBAs yes and they're gonna
be doing that in a rush they're leaving right from the theater going right there that's awesome
yeah and they they gotta be there because they got a bunch of hardware to bring home yeah yeah
yeah right now the winds we're gonna have we're gonna our whole way is gonna be a little more
filled I feel like after this weekend we'll tell you about it on Monday uh we'll wrap up the WBAs
and let you know how when everybody yes uh and Gretchen powers executive director of WPRCT was
in the other day too uh kind of preview the you theater productions coming up this summer yeah
three what are they crazy yeah three James crazy oh my gosh first one is dared to dream that's a
Disney musical uh directed by Gretchen auditions are going on May 5th you can find out more and even
fill out an audition sheet um which I encourage you to do at wrc theater dot org and then they will
have auditions Tuesday May 6th for a west side story a school edition yes um that's gonna be
directed by Susan Becker night oh missoo nice and then auditions July 14th for the brothers grim a
hopo production directed by Stephanie Horth yeah it's gonna be a good one uh they're always good
to hopo productions yes um I just uh Gretchen and I talked about this quite a bit and everything
it occurred you uh to find the rapids report interview uh civic media dot us and wfhr dot com
Seth and I uh grew up loving uh the arts and loving theater and acting and all that and uh both
have had kids in theater and stuff and can really speak to the the what this means to kids and what
this can do for kids and yes it's you know getting a laugh there's nothing like it um being on stage
and working with other kids to fellowship the friendships um their responsibility all these things
are our key for a young child's development but certainly there are things that can be that can
happen with what theater that are really there are very few other opportunities for a kid at this age
to learn and really get the reps in at a young age um speaking in front of people there are very
few jobs they're gonna do no matter what they do in their life that are not gonna involve public
speaking in some form yes you can check that off yep public speaking getting reps doing that
but right there um what to do when you drop a line or somebody else drops a line how to handle
adversity yep in real time like right there while also not the uh the for them the pressure
in the intensity is crazy but we know as it's adults it okay it's intense but it's not the end of
the world right but for them that high pressure situation in a safe environment with a net if you
will yep uh how many other opportunities do they have for that in society these are the things
that local theater brings and then there's the WRCT level of this where they got their own stage
over there man I mean they have um literally people in charge over there in Gretchen powers or
looking at Hopo and Stephanie Horath who have done this since they were kids right so you have uh
player coaches you have people who understand this better than most better than I may I wasn't a
kid actor I didn't get to act until I was a teenager right um they know that's better than I do
even um it it putting your kids in this for environment there's there's there's a there's
few safer environments and few better environments for them to grow mentally physically all that
and babysitting gotta mention gotta mention that it gives them something to do and gives them
something to do man gives them something to do which is any parent out there knows how important
that is I mean and to get out and do it with other with your peers that's the the other thing
I mean just personal experience last night I picked up my my oldest who's in the show you know um
because he was allowed to do it this year and the excitement the just how in you know how
excited he was afterwards talking about how good it went you know talking to people after the show
and they gave him you know gave him high fives and these kinds of things it's it's it's amazing
to see what effect that this kind of stuff can have on your kids I mean like James has said so
many times it doesn't matter if they're gonna be an actor or being an entertainment at all it doesn't
matter it is such an amazing way to build confidence to meet people to get friendships it's just wow
it's I can't speak enough about it so cool Seth and I were talking off air about this a little
bit earlier this week and I brought up in sixth grade I was in a play Boris and the briefcase
and I had to have a Russian accent and all these things it was my first play first chance to
really do theater okay and my teacher Mr. Hudavelte who actually was Englishman who worked at the
old crown Vic and all that stuff and everything gave me an opportunity and I've been taken I took
the ball and I ran with the different sense but I'm not in this chair without that experience
without without all the things that went right and went wrong in that play I had a mustache that
stayed on in every rehearsal until I went out there under the bright lights that must have
melted right off went to flying off did a little loop de loop right in front of my face I'm sitting
there and uh and there's somebody I'm I'm I'm I'm what 12 at that time right at seven I've
wanted to do this and I'm I'm thinking this is the end this I'll never act again nobody's gonna
put me out there so I put my finger to my under my nose to represent a mustache and the audience laughs
and I I can still hear it you still hear the laughter yeah I'm not exaggerating everybody I
genuinely can it was a quick laugh like a like almost a surprise laugh and almost nervous laugh
followed by a roar right I can hear it to this day just as an example of what this could do for
kids and the path that can set them right um you just don't know man and and the other I mean
just think about everything else you learned about in that one too about having to go after
moose and squirrel yes yes oh god how maybe poor Mr. Hudaville James you don't have to do a real
Russian accent but I must but I must do I must do this I must do this find out about these
youth theater productions get your kids involved even fill out an audition sheet at wrc theater
dot org wrc theater dot org and get your tickets for noises off everybody we'll meet you there
yeah to come oh a log into our news sports and partner break and we'll come back having some fun
talking about uh you know we told you what's new in theaters now we'll tell you what not to do in
theaters yes when you go just don't do this coming up on morning show welcome back everybody morning
show here at wf HR locally grown radio set in james hanging out with you we hope you're having a
fantastic one out there uh we got a good one right here okay so we're telling everybody about
movies and movies the new movies in theaters and everything and uh let everyone know about that
let's get into what not to do in the theater set this is something you know since people
don't go to theaters anymore they need a they need a refresher right yes it's actually not to be
courteous at the theater right it's actually kind of a fair point yeah and yeah and so I'm
trying to figure out if I should have you go take care of our our guest out there or not
oh yeah there you got this you got this you got this so looking at the theater thing um there
there are the rules that I think that you know you know as far as the theater telling you
and then there are those gentlemanly rules those societal rules that we all agree upon
even without us having to have a rule set in mo in in play for it uh so I want to hear from
the audience if we don't cover something that you think should be included in rules in a rules
of engagement when it comes to going to the movies mm-hmm and I'm wondering if some of this
stuff were the case would more people go to the movies mm-hmm um that's an interesting point although
I think that's something that could throw that off completely is the most recent Minecraft movie
uh it's true where it feels like I while I have not been to it everything I've seen it seems like
uh everything that you're not supposed to do in the theaters they're doing in that movie so
this weekend marks the unofficial start of summer blockbuster season and if you haven't
hit up a theater in a while here's a quick etiquette refresher nice number one arriving late ideally
you'll be in your seat before the preview start and lights are dimmed searching for your seat when
it's dark at the movies has started to distract it is a distraction to everyone it is it is and
there's also there's a slight it's it's not I don't want to say danger but I mean you there's
the chance you could trip on someone's leg or something like that it is very dark in a theater if
you remember everybody's which when they lower the lights so uh yeah be careful and get there a
little early I uh I would say too um if you're finding a seat and you're trying to go round people
or through people or anything like that you know uh them giving grace to because we've all been
there we've all been late to a movie exactly now there's also that but you know you can't be
rude yourself as well as the person the late go or can't be both sides got to be cool about that
that's be cool talking or snacking loudly or in other words what it was like to be a kid in the
mail-off household I love my father I would not trade my phone or anything in the world here's
the perfect dad for me except for what it comes to the going to the movies because my whole life
and and granted my dad grew up with this going to the city and when you go in the city in major cities
and stuff it is not uncommon for people to talk back to the screen at least when I was a kid yeah
I don't know if that's uh the thing anymore but yep the first four or five movies that I went to
to the theater was with my dad right and uh my dad loves movies and he would talk to the screen
right and so that's all I thought people did I thought that that's just what you did first time I
go to a movie out here uh I made a fool of myself right uh I styled real quick no they don't do
that out here um it's a little different I got a thing with this I really do I really I can't
um I can't tell you how much I I find it to be so much about you if you if you got to make it
about you at the theater laughing having a loud laugh opening a candy wrapper all this stuff is
understandable you understand this when you go to a movie theater that you're going to be dealing
with other people but the rude laugh or the overextended laugh or you know what I'm talking about
yeah or just the yelling at the screen or some of that yeah um that that really doesn't do much
now there's going to be time for that when you're watching the movie at home
right when you're alone right or with your family right yeah exactly so I I feel like that
the there's there's certain things in life like I understand that we uh certain portions of
our society have gotten rid of shame they just cut that out of their brain yes and by that I mean
politics yeah how do you do that anyway yeah yeah anyway it seems like a real gift uh boy
I'd love to walk around with that um but I would like to think that as a citizens uh
people that are not running for office or some of these things or running a major company or
something like that uh that still do understand what shame is um you would have some of that in
this situation right and I don't think that I'm I know it's not a popular opinion I'm not against
people shaming people for certain things I think it can be an effective tool right and done with
tact right yeah exactly not standing up in the movie theater and pointing at this person say
everybody shame him because then you deserve the shame you're doing the exact same thing to the
old slap up with a glove I challenge you to a duel son no this is something that I I feel like
and I and I'm not alone in this that we need to be aware of in the bullying thing where we're
getting really good about hey bullings wrong all of this but we can't bully bullies it doesn't
make any sense don't do how dare you bully my god wait a minute like yeah no don't do that
we it doesn't work either way right with exact theaters of that uh using your phone
you're not at home in your living room so put the phone away yes even during these slow parts
where you're kind of zoned out yeah you just there's a part of movies like that you just paid yeah
right I this this is mind boggling to me I go into the movie theater and my phone is not only
unsilently I turned a volume down it's not abusing anything yeah right now um the world war
three is happening outside the movie theater I'm not going to know about it because I especially
like I've always been this way and I'm crazy about movies I admit that also I just paid a mortgage
to see this movie yeah I don't care if it's bad I'm going to take it get your money's worth yeah
yeah like and then I'm not going to let uh anybody in the theater ruin that for me either with
their opening uh you know yelling at the screen or anything by the way it's not a bad thing to see
a bad movie because then you've got a story yes you can talk to people about it
did you do you see this movie I saw it was awful you know they had this thing and I mean
what you get something out of it either way one of my bigger problems with the younger generation
and you never hear me pick on the younger generation he doesn't do it by never do that yeah I don't
do that very often at all uh but some some are in between there except right now yes uh they
they don't love the bad you gotta you gotta take nine they're doing it pretty good with some
stuff like 90s is fashion yeah right some things are doing it with but you got to enjoy the bad
in life there's a there's a joy in in there is cheaply made movies and you know a
something like that there there is absolutely I'm solely with you on that I think that maybe
that's something it comes with age maybe maybe it's something like that uh generally because I
otherwise I would just assume that they would get that yeah I feel like I got that when I was a kid
and uh so yeah using your phone put that away um putting your feet on someone else's seat
it's another distraction and it's just rude that's just rude who does that I you know I feel bad
if I'm like accidentally hit the seat in front of me there's someone there I'm like oh jeez you know
because I didn't I don't want to disturb the person in front of me you know even that time
accidentally sneezed with soda in my mouth and I got the person in front of me oh no oh
that's rough it felt so bad that's rough I didn't mean to a sneeze just came on I didn't do it
by my buddy we're going we're we're going to see I think it was Bill and Ted I think we're going
to see Bill and Ted the second one I think and uh he's walking and he's doing Chris always do the
voices uh there was one of the only reasons you didn't want to go to the movie with him because
you knew after Wayne's role for the next two weeks he was going to be talking like Wayne and Garter
oh dear um and uh this one big thing of popcorn yeah guy stood up as we are walking past and his
shoulder or head or whatever hit it and it just it wasn't it wasn't that it fell over fall
a fell over something like that it shot up into the air like confetti it just it it was like for
good five minutes it felt like it was just up there in the air oh no it was bad and finally leaving
your trash behind it's inconsiderate to the staff and the people watching the movie in the theater
after you right that staff is oftentimes kids teenagers uh first job maybe minimum wage right
you know that ain't right man um you know you it ain't right it's a common courtesy they they've
got a plenty to do there the theater you know they got to make sure everything's ready for the
next show and they've got multiple screens they got to take care of it's just a common courtesy
you know they got I know they got to clean it up anyway but get the big stuff out of there and
it just makes it easier for them uh this is where uh the the whole new Minecraft movie thing with all
the uh I keep seeing article after article kids going to the theaters kids asking their parents to take
them to the theaters and like that's great yeah but are they going for the movie or just to make a
mess yeah you know because that's what the movie is essentially turned into is people going to the
movie just so they can have the whole uh the the goat thing or the cow or whatever uh you know
that I don't know I'm old right yeah it's a yeah that's my graph thing right yeah for every I
saw another um a part of one of the articles I read about this where the lady took a birthday
party to it and the kids didn't know about this and they went and they left they left in the middle
of the movie crying because they were blown away by all these kind of teenagers and mid teenagers
that really didn't care about the movie they were just there because they got to make a mess in
public right um and that that that hurts the movie that that does not help no no no that doesn't help
I hate myself right now oh no I really do man because young me 13 year old me is is screaming at me
right now what happened to you what happened to you tell your 13 year old self hey I grew up man
yeah yeah I'm better than you are I'm trying but I don't think he speaks old person
this just keeps yelling at me in the back of my head used to be a rebel
can't look at you anymore I'm gonna go talk to that back a voice in the back of my head

couple of world good stories that wanted to touch on as we wrap up the week in a new survey
seventy seven percent of us veterans say that they believe video games have a positive impact
on their lives wow that's cool eighty six percent say video games provide a healthy outlet for
stress and anxiety eighty six eighty one percent say that they help them cope with difficult times
and seventy four percent say gaming communities have a positive impact on their mental health how
cool it is that and uh i think even just as interesting about this the average age of the people
having positive impact on the survey is anywhere from fifty to sixty years old and and above that's
so cool so it's something else helping our veterans uh and something that don't think a lot of us
saw coming video games exactly good job Kirby yes yes just way to go Mario yeah and a hundred and
fifteen year old british woman has become the world's oldest living person cool ethyl car car
ham credits her longevity to never arguing with anyone listening and doing what i like hey

secret never arguing with anyone that's great listening beautiful absolutely one of my favorite
