everything going over at the Main Society? Well, we're busy. Put it that way. We just discussed
a we've got so many dogs and cats right now. We are like at capacity. Most of these dogs
and cats, especially the dogs, they're over 150 days there. Wow. And as you have noticed
before, tick is now at 372 days. Over a year. That's why I don't know, but if someone out
there wants a nice dog, come and look at tick. Yeah. Yeah. Do yourself a favor, everybody.
Yeah. It's a amazing dog. Ticks an awesome looking dog. And everything about seems great.
Her. Her. Yeah. I know. I make that mistake too. Yeah. She's beautiful. Yeah. And every one
of these dogs, I am a little bit biased on because I fall in love with every one of them.
But tick is got just a good heart. Met tick and a good dog. Very good. Yes. Oh, God,
that coat. Wow. Sucker for that coat. Brinoco. Is tick our pet of the week? Well, I guess
we could say that. Okay. There you go. We could have multiple pets. Honestly, Tim, you
could take up the whole hour if you want. Well, I'll take a sponsor. Yeah. There is no

I would hope that you guys have with with sponsored animals. We have good. We're like tick.

fun to tick it. I appreciate it. I do want to put you on the spot, but I thought that
and good on it for doing so. You know, it speaks to when we, even I myself that have worked
in shelters many years and stuff, I don't know what it's like to go through the day to day
like you guys too. We see these animals in a show like this. We do once a week. We talk
about it. We see them. And I may check out the main society a couple of times a week,
but I'm not with these animals. I'm not breathing the same air as them and experiencing these
things like you guys are. And I greatly appreciate the what it takes on the heart and the
mind to do that day to day to day that is that is not always the easiest gig. It can be
one of the most rewarding jobs of your life with these animals and the love that they give.
It can also be very, it can take a toll. And I appreciate that. I appreciate what you
guys do with these animals and then sponsoring them like that or something like you did
or any of the other members or anybody in community does. It goes a bug. It goes farther
than we can put into words and other board members have done it. And we have some people
look that I know there was one that I sponsored. The people came in and sponsored two more.
That's so wow. Yeah, that was cool. That was a nice gesture. And we want to meet you halfway
on this stuff. We want to help you guys are doing so much heavy lifting. We as a community
want to help. Anyway, we can it. That's why we encourage you to look into these dogs tick
and any of these other great animals that are over there. But an animal like tick just
for a second, nothing but love to give. And there is a perfect fit for that dog out there.
Just got to find it. Just got to find it. Encourage you to reach out. And for anybody
out there that thinks at an older dog, it can't fit. It can oftentimes be the perfect fit
for your home. Just not looking at it that way. So many are so glued to, especially if
you have kids. Oh, I got to have a puppy. I got to have a puppy or a young dog. All of
us kind of love the idea of a kid growing up with a dog and that. But tick isn't is an
old. No, I think it's only a few two, three years old. That's what's puzzling. Yeah.
And a beautiful dog. Just a beautiful looking dog. Brindle is a beautiful breed. We know
she's an animal. A mastiff's. I got I'm a sucker for a mastiff's too. That's a beautiful
dog tick. I mean, you should look about tick and what else do you have first tip? Well,
speaking of the puppies, in addition to everything, we have those six puppies in foster that
are coming July 18th, which they will go quick. I'm pretty sure that's the one we
have talked about where the mom has and we have the six wonderful puppies. Plus we have
40 cats are kittens in foster right now that are going to be. Yes. Plus all the cages on
our floor are full. So we have a lot of cats. We have a lot of dogs. We had a lot of
surrenders. We're just brimming with animals right now. So if somebody wants a pet now
is perfect time. Right. Really good time to especially looking at not only in our
Armenian society for that, but I even spread in the word about this. There may be somebody
out there that isn't here in this show or isn't on social media or liking one of the
pages and seeing some of this. So please put a word about this information. So a lot
to cover. I'm just going to breathe through. Our new director started last week. Sarah Hansen
began training with me. She's doing very, very well. I think she's going to be a great
fit for us and a lot of exciting ideas she has already. So we want you, everybody to welcome
Sarah. And in fact, today we're I'm shutting down the shelter at five. We're going a little
early because we have a staff appreciation and welcome for Sarah. So it would be a nice
family event for all of us. So hopefully people don't get upset if we're closing our early
understandable. So I do. Please let me know what the animals get Sarah because it's always
interesting to see what the gifts that they get. They are the gift. They are. Congratulations
to Sarah and the team. That's awesome. Yes. Looking forward to meeting her. We also have
the town of Arpen is as we question an agreement. I don't know if people know, but we have
to have agreements with the municipalities. And there were 10 municipalities in this
county that had no agreement to do anything with animals. So yeah, they know strays, no
pickups, no nothing. So if you live in one of those townships, I'm not going to name
them all. Yeah. But sometimes we get blamed and say, well, why aren't you doing something?
Well, there's state laws that cover this. And you have to contact your local officials
and the village or your township and say, well, what are you doing with these animals?
That's a blind spot to me. I did not know that. I have to be honest with everybody. I
didn't know that. I got to look more into that one. I'm not letting I'm a dog with
a bone on that one. I'm not letting that go. That's interesting. Thank you for sharing
that. We can do that next week if you would. We'll talk. Yeah. We'll definitely talk.
Well, I'll let you know a little bit more. All of that works. Thank you. It's kind

on these things and especially word of mouth is always goes farther than anything else. So when

different things that they have going on over there and when we talk about buying local we're

and the the talented one in the family the we have Melissa Kay joining us on the phone right now
Mel thanks for joining us oh stop trying to butter me up I could totally hear you guys during
that whole last break yeah so now I know how you really feel about me I would like to apologize
to Melissa now like the publicly a putt dog Mel had the day off and she still wanted to come in today
because she was so excited about newsies junior you got to preview this last night oh my goodness
I I ambushed you guys last night and said no I know you guys have the morning show today and it's
not my day I'm not allowed but however I need to crash and on your morning show because I did I
got a preview of newsies juniors junior last night and you guys I was blown away awesome so much
excitement and and an energy coming off of that stage and from those kids it is so well choreographed
in the short amount of time that they have put this together the the two leads that they have
playing Jack Kelly and Catherine these young people are going places nice yeah I I made it
I only had time to stay until the end of the first act and you guys he brought me to tears oh wow
wow oh wow that's awesome yeah and I only got to hear the first song from the young ladies who
played Catherine but her voice wow wow okay nice I have to say before as once they first again
Gretchen and I had a meeting and it was right after the casting was done and she was just raving
about these two and how I believe this is their last show less kids show they're able to do
and how she was going to miss them and everything but how happy she was to have them a part of
this show and to hear you talk about it it just adds to that Melissa well because that's the
thing of course Gretchen's going to you know talk sure yeah yeah yeah of course she is we expect
that we you know and and and we we expect her to build them up and talk well about them and
not saying that she's not telling the truth but you know oh yeah yeah perfect it from her um and
same with you James you do the same thing you talk up the kid shows a lot but until you go and
see this you are not going to understand anything we're saying until you experience it because
even me who was going in with high expectations I was seriously blown away that's so great
there are a lot of times in the first act that you the emotion the intensity the goosebumps
just the excitement that these kids have and how well they are doing it's it's so impressive not only
to say that the stage looks beautiful which you know to expect at WRC T show um and and this is just
it was so great they had their small test audience yesterday and people were loving it
I I cannot be highly enough about this and I got to interview a couple of the kids several of
them actually um for the new community stories uh program that I'm working on that will you know
debut later this month or early august um so I'm excited to hear that to or for everyone to hear
that to the stories of these young people who are involved in theater and and the joy that it
brings to their lives it's just I'm so excited I have tickets for Friday and if you don't already
have a ticket for Friday you're out of luck because they're sold out yes yeah that was the other
thing I was going to ask you before we wrapped up Melissa I do are all the tickets sold out for
all the shows um because that's I didn't have a chance it's just for Friday okay all right well then
I think there's still tickets available tonight for the seven o'clock show and Saturday for the two
o'clock matinee go on to WRC T the WRC theater dot org to find out and get those tickets WRC
now yeah go now right now hey Melissa don't wait let's say I had a question for you um so I guess
she because aggression said she was going to use it was there a certain piece of of staging
that we used in a show that we were a part of earlier did aggression reuse that
yes she did yes one piece of the glass matinee is part of the set uh oh pretty much exactly
as it was it looks great awesome yeah their set is gorgeous and the way that they built it with
because there's a lot of kids in this I think there's close to 60 whoa kids in this production
which is another reason you need to get your tickets every single family member of theirs
better be at this show yeah yeah people into being shows I try to encourage people but if you are a
family member of these young people and you're missing this show what is wrong with you you're
going to regret it couldn't agree more could agree more awesome back you on this 100 percent you
anybody whether you are a theater person or have seen a lot of theater or anything like that
everybody out there has been around a kid or knows the energy of a child now think about harnessing
that energy and giving them some direction and giving them something that they're passionate about
that they care about and that they want to do so they take that energy into that and that is kid's
theater that is children's theater uh and that is one of the funnest they're not only
not only them but they're building that energy with each child around them it's just it's fantastic
the confidence that they build doing these shows the uh chemistry that they learn working with
others it's some of these early lessons that you learn in life that you can take into any field
any field uh and you can help support that just by buying a ticket just by showing up and enjoying
yourself that's all you're having fun yeah yeah and these tickets are cheaper than the regular
main stage shows that's right yeah that's pretty cool too get those tickets at wrc theater.org

little bit of entertainment news set thanks again i got a little bit more than a little here
okay all right i did have a couple of things i wanted to get to just to follow up on our story
the other day about Ellen de generis okay um that she is uh she was very frustrated with uh her
her way she was being received stand up wise whether it was ticket sales or the way audiences were
taking in her comedy okay um now one of the so a long story short Ellen is quitting showbiz
after her final netflix special heirs later this year during recent shows she said quote this
the last time you're going to see me after my netflix special i'm done when a fan asked her if she'd
ever voiced doora uh doori from finding nemo again she said quote no i'm going bye bye remember
uh and she said it very like talking down to them um this is part of
Ellen it has nobody to blame but herself in many ways for this uh for one there were a few people
that before this story broke about her being a jerk boss and all those things and mistreating people
and some almost human rights violations for god's sake right uh she was considered one of the
nicest sweetest people on tv especially daytime tv right uh and and this happens okay so then
you go back out there and you're trying to rebuild your career people have rebuilt their careers
from far worse so if you are talented enough if you are funny enough you'll be able to do this
but uh what do we say about comedy less uh this has been a theme comedy doesn't age well
no what do the great comedians do they adapt they evolve yeah well Seth and i had a wonderful
conversation with Greg Bach a great comedian uh about this about how the smart comedians
they educate themselves they don't just stay in a bubble they learn what's going on with the public
hey what do you find funny what what is your topics you care about they grow they evolve
Ellen didn't do that no Ellen ain't funny anymore so yeah your career is going to shuddle and stop
and you want to quit showbiz showbiz quit you like i this is what you get this is not a birth
right i get really tired as as a creative that has been struggling my whole life to get to that
right right i find the people that have that and and completely like just blow it and it's all
their own fault i it's one of the more frustrating things to me you got no but she wants to blame
the audience and she's saying this what she's doing yes exactly she's and na na na na i'm going
away i'm taking all my millions and i'm going away this is this is showing exactly who she really is
because yeah and this is what we have been hearing from the people that work for she's this is the
way she is and get passive aggressive all these kinds of things look at she's showing it right now
she's like no i'm i'm quit showbiz uh man man man man and and and she'll be back by the way she's not
quit she'll she'll come back for something i don't know she's just being yeah she'll be a child
right now is what she's being yeah exactly yeah and this is not the way like for we're also one
thing that we i don't know uh if anybody even thinks about this but one thing is a sag member i
found out right away we have a responsibility once you become a sag member you you have okay i
got to show other actors who aren't here yet how to handle the business mm-hmm how to hand not only
handle agents and all the behind-the-scenes stuff but when you were in the public eye you it is
no different than when you work for a company or when you're in high school sports you are representing
your school you've got certain things that you are supposed to do uh i i i sir i'm not supposed to
say or do certain things online uh some of that and one of the things that is kind of unsaid but
is noted is how do you handle yourself and how you treat the public because guess what we have no
career without them so you might want to treat them right you might want to learn a little bit about
them might want to understand them a little bit better and not this what Ellen has done uh i don't
feel sorry once second for her and i could really and i and i feel really bad saying this because
back in the day i was a fan but uh she's an extremely funny person she's one of the very most
funny comedians around but whatever everything we've been saying it's the truth man uh there
there are arguments out there uh did we do this did we break Ellen no this is Ellen this is who
she is she is she is she's showing it right now and from that point i go to Kevin Koster uh right
it's it's the duck fest uh you don't hear me say i i was right you were wrong often or anything
i'm not talking to Seth or the audience i'm just saying that in general in general in ether and
everything he doesn't um but i have been on this horse for a long time and i've been telling you
and telling you over and over again everything is said about Ellen it's the same den thing with
Koster it's just more decades he's been doing right getting away with it i have never understood
why this man continues to get opportunities uh why he is one awards or any of this if you can
tell me a role that you can think of the kevacosner is done that you could imagine and you couldn't
imagine anybody else doing uh i really want to hear that part i really want to hear how you
couldn't imagine anybody else doing this particular role um and and there's an ego and there's
there is a way you treat people in the industry in any industry and after a while that stuff adds up
man and and chickens come home to roost they do and while he is uh his career his legacy is well
established and and those the day of that really happening is gone it's finally happening for him
where his ego and his the way he treats people he's finally feeling now he took this yellow he got
that yellow stone gig and he got that third or fourth act the thing that every actor begs for in
a career right he got it and what did he do i i admitted at the time that i could be wrong but i
told everybody and if you love this show yellow stone take in what you can because it ain't going
to last with him uh and sure enough that blows up because of him because of his ego and because
he wanted them to schedule he wanted everybody on that show to schedule around his schedule like
everybody everybody we're talking not only the actors and the workers the whole boy the editor
the caterer everybody when they didn't agree to that he like a little baby i'm taking my ball
and i'm going home yep and i'm leaving your show go ahead and try to do it without me so he ruins
jobs for how many other people yeah and this isn't the first time he's done this he's done in that
movie sets he's done in the many other is a draft day go ahead and look at his uh history with
draft day and making that movie and how hard that was so he puts all his money all his effort into
the surprise in movie an american saga uh where it's costler and a cowboy hat again oh going
back to the old hits right yeah i'm surprised it's not him and uh he didn't try to combine baseball
in the westerns um you know to really baseball at the old west so it comes out with this movie first
he's mad that he can't just release the movie all at once as like a four hour movie he doesn't
understand why so he sets it up in two and uh he released horizon american saga part one and it
bombed horribly to to shock of nobody but him right uh it has been pulled from theaters and and
now the second part has been pulled it's the release date has been pushed back because they're
first one bombed so bad it was supposed to hit theaters on august 16th but now it's off indefinitely
they haven't even given a date yet which means it's probably gonna go right to streaming yes outside
of a movie miracle where uh all the sun everybody goes out to see horizon because they hate me and
they want to make cup of cups i don't know i don't know i don't that's all these characters that big
uh no no it is not the plan is still to release it in theaters but Kevin and the other producers are
trying to get the first movie more time to catch up with audiences it hit streaming platforms next
week so what do they think it's gonna happen within a less than a week here part one horizon cost
about one hundred million to make oh dear that's just the first part oh the second part was even more
expensive uh the money including overseas it uh including thirty eight million to customers on
thirty eight million of customers own money oh wow he put into this so i'll give him that he did put
money into it but that's because of his ego because he believed he'd make that back yes he has he
made the movie made twenty two million wow that's all they made off that's rough and and if you
think that's going to move up uh i got a bridge to sell you from San Francisco because uh that is
not gonna happen no especially when it hits streaming yeah in my point of doing both these
stories back to back is to show how ego doesn't win hubris hubris does not have two great examples of
hubris right here yep these were great careers careers that most any entertainer would beg for exactly
and they had those careers and they they didn't appreciate them they didn't appreciate their
audiences they didn't appreciate what they had they thought this is and and you've talked about
this before too they thought they deserved it yes they didn't realize that no this is not something
that's gonna last forever it can be taken away and it was you you you have to earn certain things
every day and that this is one of those jobs uh and and if you don't like it that's fine go be
in account and go be something exactly but if you go into this world there's some things you
were supposed to do and neither of these people have handled it right and now they're get now the
chickens are coming home the roofs yep we will get to our news break we'll come back with a little
more entertainment for you we're gonna talk about glitch uh the the next barbenheimer they think
supposedly supposedly uh we'll see how that goes coming up on the morning show at WFHR

was gonna say once the last time you heard that oh that dance oh my gosh uh it's been a while
it's been a while but man did I love that soundtrack I love that movie it's Prince man how could
you not like it it's uh like I'm a big fan like a lot of people out there when it comes to the
Batman movies in the dark night it's it's the to me I think the dark night is a perfect superhero movie
it's the most perfect superhero movie there's ever been um but I that first Batman with Tim
uh the Tim Burton did with Jack and Michael uh is my favorite by the way uh did anybody ever
here or find out about what Jack Nicholson did with that movie and how it changed the game for
acting hmm they never heard that they didn't have it in the budget to afford a Jack Nicholson
so what they did was um okay actually it was Jack's idea wasn't it's agent a lot of people for
years thought it was this agent's idea's agent came out uh some actually like about five or
ten years ago and said no that was Jack um Jack said okay well if you can't pay me that much then
how about we try this why don't you give me a little bit of the percentage of the overall box
office numbers if the movie does well great if not it's on me it did well it did very well and
I'm guessing Jack did very well too to this day nobody has made more money from a movie as an
actor than Jack Nicholson from Batman because he took three percent of the overall box office like
the gross the gross and that's something you never hear and even with uh all you know everything
in consideration nobody has still made more money uh Margaret Roby came close with Barbie uh but
that's about it that's it's not even but that had to make like billions of dollars yeah and Batman
didn't make that I mean it was a lot money but not like that uh as big as some of these movies are
and the attendance they get I don't think uh they they have the pop culture hit none of them
including the Avengers endgame movies and everything had the pop culture hit that that movie had man
it had that it had it all to itself there were there weren't a million other superhero movies or
DC trying to go or you know Marvel trying to yeah right right it's done it's such an interesting
moment and it got I remember that summer like it was yesterday man oh man uh real quick man
before we get in because we're in the entertainment section okay this is and I have not told James
this yet so this is kind of he's going to be new to him too okay you said dark night is your
fear when when we do a director's cut on the dark night and we will yeah at some point just a matter
of time the influence of Brandon Lee's Crow on Joker yeah but that in your back pocket oh I can't
wait I'm glad you brought up directors cut nice yeah I didn't want to send a shout out to
Jane and Greg from Matt and air on air you can catch them right after our show tend to
annune every Monday through Friday it's some of the more funny insightful radio you will over here
from two wonderful personalities and wonderful minds and we started something here at WFHR the
Civic series where on directors cut for the next couple of episodes we're going to be interviewing

days or two days after their show and we had a great conversation with them I did my homework on
those guys and I even learned some stuff good stuff yeah it was really cool uh especially hearing
about Jane and her dad and the relationship and how that affected her comedy and and the interesting
tie-in with that in our old ownership I would say that that very weird but it works it works out
that episode premiered this Sunday on uh on our Sunday lineup and thank you so much for supporting
that lineup we've gotten such amazing feedback on that Sunday lineup good and the afternoon lineup
you guys have been enjoying that uh we really appreciate you for that thank you for that everybody

uh game one will be at 1150 today uh that'll be opening pitch uh look at it we got Warsaw in town so
it's not just a double header it's an important one it's the rivals who in Warsaw is having a heck of
a season so this is uh this is a way to gain a little ground I'm I'm looking to go to an O of course
but if we can go one-on-one in this that's a win that is totally because it's all all or nothing
right now we need this if we want to continue our season getting to the playoffs they got to get
first place they got to get a little bit better yeah and they gotta get yeah and and I think they can
I I genuinely think they can they have the offense I will give them that uh they have the offense
and uh they're pitching yes they've kind of the the weak link here I do have to say uh
because we weren't able to do playmakers on Monday I did wanted to mention something and went to
the game on Saturday last Saturday night and when uh Max McGuire hit a grand slam not only was it
an awesome moment anytime a player hits a grand slam but he comes back to home plate and he's got
the you know the three runners that scored ahead of him are waiting for him to congratulate him
he did the bash brother oh forearm thing with all of them and I was like Max you are awesome
that is so cool I know it's something's dad made famous you know the hell Jose Kinseko and stuff
like that but it was like oh that was a great moment oh it was so cool man is that cool yeah that
is all awesome uh good on the kid for doing that that's smart and it's it's knowing the audience too
it's absolutely imagine how great it must feel to hit a grand slam at any point in your life
and and you have the thought to make it about the audience too and give them something absolutely
I cannot wait to see the thrill yeah I'm looking I'm I'm I'm back in that kid no matter what yeah
I'm rooting for him uh follow your rafters as they have a great see they're gonna have a great
season no matter what and we've been enjoying the season uh they got some special stuff coming up
in the ballpark tonight uh not only this double header is going on but they've got a a couple
fun things going along with that programming wise I do want to mention that we have midday magazine
that we play from five to six or um yeah four to five four to five for you if uh that game one
goes long we will be playing um uh midday magazine in place of uh unless this is the music yeah
it depends it all depends on the game and so yeah if everything ends on time or like it could
and everything then we'll have no changes um normal stuff in the game two will kick off at six
twenty yeah uh also it's current technologies uh um oh no I'm sorry uh that uh that uh
I got to accept their promo for tonight uh is is a great one they've got Wisconsin rabbits convention
and visitors bureau uh there tonight a shout out to Meredith and the gang sports commission
night going on tonight uh come out to Winterfield and see all your area sports organizations from
youth to adult clubs all coming together it's also mid state free tuition night keep that in mind

they love to parody and they love to oh how do we do that again right yeah um so they're going to
try and they're going to try on Friday November 22nd with glitch that's gladiator two and wicked
hitting theaters at the same time quote it would be amazing because I think the films could be more
polar opposite it couldn't be more polar opposites and it worked in the that context previously
so fingers crossed uh whether it does this or not I don't know but it's not going to hit the
lengths of barbenheimer and it's it may not happen at all in part because studios are trying to make
it happen you can't force these things they always take the wrong conclusions they always do that
man they think all these years it's been a hundred year industry you know they would have known by
now they've figured it out no they haven't they it's it's really disappointing too because we're
nowhere without audiences and if they don't learn to respect and appreciate audiences we're
still struggling to get people to go to movie theaters yeah like this kind of stuff doesn't help
what's one of the way uh almost every audience is is teenagers they are if you tell them to do
something they're probably going to do the opposite uh in doing this you're not helping that these
movie goers these actors that worked on this any of the above it's not it doesn't add up doesn't
make sense right I I look forward to seeing how this happens and I I actually kind of hope to be
wrong yeah I would like this to work out because I think it's kind of cool when it happens but I
don't know I will say the I watched the first trailer for gladiator two yesterday whoa
whoa man it I wasn't that impressed with the first gladiator I didn't think it was that great I
thought it was overracted and and a little overdone really Scott got to write with this one he has
got a great uh at cast Palma scale as a great actor but you got Denzel in Rome basically it's
Denzel man and you you give me Ridley Scott and Denzel I'm there you go let alone Patriot
Pascal is in it like it looks good it looks bad not bad we'll be back more fun in the morning show here

kids well the one that is available over at link I should say the breakfast that does available
breakfast is done now yeah uh that is all done but I do wanted I did want to take a note and thank
everybody that worked on that and help that happen now lunches are still going on until August
you have until august 16th for to uh still get free lunches and these are available to any kid
under the age of 18 uh over at um mead park near the splash pad 14th avenue you and uh that is
going from 11 30 to 12 30 until august 16th and then over at winner park near the shelter outside
the aquatic center that is going on till august 16th 11 30 to 12 30 mm-hmm big thank you to them yes
Seth you got some stuff too well we've got the uh Wisconsin Rapids downtown farmers market going on
as we speak every Thursday and Saturday eight to two down on first avenue south at 220 it's actually
the whole street there you know where is everyone you can't miss it and uh there on Thursdays
like I said and Saturdays make sure you head on down there get some fresh fresh produce some big goods
lots of great uh foods egg rolls everybody egg rolls delicious egg rolls down there so uh head
on down there too and because and while you're down there actually James there's something going on
on the other side of the river mm-hmm yes there is lunch by the river every Thursday 11 30 to one

I'd like to have somebody even down there maybe uh don't and have them call in or something
that will work that out yeah we'll figure that out I don't want to shout out our friend Stephanie
in the central Wisconsin cultural center uh they have a new exhibit authentic Native American art
and culture that opens tonight from 5 30 to 7 30 this is a free event it's open to the public
refreshments will be available bring your friends opening night to meet the artists and view artwork
the artwork may be traditional contemporary or combination um and all of this is a great way uh
they also on display is the history of the skunk hill and powers bluffs including paintings
of Native American marker trees uh and uh from uh CWCC's Lilis Smith collection um they're the
authentic Native American art culture exhibit can be viewed July 11th through August 22nd over at
central constant cultural center 2651 A Street South in Wisconsin Rapids enjoy everybody that's
gonna be a good one it's very good so that's one of the notes something else yeah reminder that we
are collecting books now for the book sale this fall at the meridian church we have the book been
open in the parking lot there through september 15th everyone so when you're done with all your
summer reading bring those books on over and we'll share them with other people remember all of the
proceeds go to scholarships for uh mid-state you want to remind everyone that is where the money
goes for this so it's a great one through september 15th bring your books to the meridian church
couple of uh good stories of today to wrap up a 78 year old man in Massachusetts named Tony
Paladano is trying to track down the woman who saved his life at a Rolling Stone concert a few
weeks ago whoa she saw him collapse at the start of the show on May 30th and climbed over several
rows of seats to give him CPR fittingly to the song start me up oh but you couldn't plan that
hurt you couldn't plan that more I should laugh but oh my gosh he ended up having a double bypass
and he's doing great now oh good so you can laugh you can smile yeah he doesn't know the woman's
name but wants to thank her and give her a very big hug uh there's gonna be a follow up to that
story I couldn't help it I was like oh it was Mick Jagger no I'm sorry I think Robin used to
do that joke when the stones went on like they're steel wheels tour or something like that they're
still doing it star me up and he's got the plant pattern a twenty-four old guy in Florida named
Cade Wessel Mary's married his high school sweetheart six years after predicting it would happen
in his yearbook oh they've known each other since sixth grade but only started dating senior
year quote uh the quote he chose to run under his senior picture was 20 bucks I marry Sarah Dill
he flashed a $20 bill as he walked down the aisle this spring
wait wait wait wait 20 bucks from who though that's the thing it's actually make a bet I don't
think he actually wait no I guess he paid himself but well done well played that was good
nicely done and it hits my romantic heart that's a good one great show today yeah it was a lot of
