I did. I did. No, I did. I did. There's no sun. I'm up so early and I need to be honest
with you guys. I didn't sleep last night. So I did not see my shadow. And it turns out
we've got some news on Puxitoni Phil too. Yeah, he didn't see his shadow either. No,
wow, early spring. Jimmy and son Prairie, did you know about Jimmy, the Groundhog? Yeah,
yeah, we love celebrating Jimmy. Yeah, yeah. Little biased around here. It's a good name.
It's a good name. Did we really need Phil this year, though? I mean, isn't it already
spring? I know. I don't think we really needed him, but I don't mind taking the day off
and letting the Groundhog day out. I was wondering how weather people treated this day.
It's a day off. I love the idea of like every, every weather person just today that will
to ask the Groundhog. All right. Look, I got the day off. I'm good. Exactly. It's like
a love hate. We're like, all right. You know what? If you want to believe the road,
it go for it. Don't worry about the person that went to school for this for many years
and dedicated their life and passion to it and everything. Well, that sounds awfully familiar
at a political year. Britney, we appreciate you joining us. What does one of the nature
gotten store for us this weekend? Phil, some spring like weather today. Just a touch cooler
than we've been feeling. We'll climb into the mid to upper 30s. Obviously a little bit
more cloud cover. Perfect timing for Groundhog. But we could see some sunshine later this
afternoon with partly sunny skies out there, a mild day. Tomorrow morning, some patchy
fog is possible. Go figure. Yeah, right. Right. We'll climb right into the low 40s tomorrow.
We'll see beautiful sunshine out there. We'll stay mostly sunny for our Sunday too and
get even warmer into the mid 40s. And we see upper 40s to start off next week. So a very
spring like start to February. Enjoy it while it's here in California. Middle of the month,
we're going to see some changes. I was going to ask if that was coming. And yeah, I figured
if February is pretty good for it. So yeah, Britney, I mean, if we're not going to get it
in February, you know, it'll be on March. So I'll pick it earlier. Yeah. Well, it's absolutely
yes. Yeah. And we certainly we know how much our earth needs it. So we'll be awake.

still doing the groundhog day thing. We have got it. We're going to cover some such a weird
idea. It is like a specific kind of animal on a specific day. Does something very odd
and you know, I guess it's because it wakes up early out of hibernation. I guess that's
what it is. But still, it's so weird. You know, it's weird. It is very strange. There's
are a long, long list of things that if you didn't know the context of them, what things
do we do as human beings would be insane to you would just be like, we the idea of aliens
coming here. I love this idea. Aliens land on February 2nd. Oh, yeah. And they're all
they're like, Oh, what are these? What do these human beings? They seem like they've got
a pretty good structure. They seem to have figured out technology. They have gone to
the moon. They wait. What's this with this road? What are they doing? They seem to be
praising this road road. I think worshipping an animal. That is right. I thought they moved
past this. I thought they moved past that we didn't come here a thousand years ago because
they were still doing these kind of things. Now they're still doing it. Wow. I love that.
We're going to have 10 groundhog day facts for you a little bit later looking forward to
getting into that. Seth and I got a lot to do this morning. This hour alone, we're going
to get into our L. Cafe birthday anniversary club. Got that coming up in just a little
bit. We'll celebrate Friday, Saturday and Sunday with all of you looking forward to that
in a big shout out to L. Cafe. Yeah. After that, after our news break, we're going to make
you a star of the day with our friends from Culvers. That's that's even better. We've
been able to do this with Culvers as long as I've been doing the morning show here.
And we're going on six, seven years together, all of us. And I just want to send a big
shout out to our Wisconsin Rapids Culvers. Wherever you've got a Culvers, I guarantee you
I put my name on this. That Culvers is putting back into its community. Yes. Yeah. We
got a really good one in town. Yeah. That's great. And we just got news this week that
Culvers has resigned with us. So we'll have them for the entire year. We're very excited
about that. And that means that I have to start putting coming up with more stuff.
Gotta get to work, man. Yeah. I didn't know. I didn't know. We got a great one for you
today, everybody. And one that I was looking at my notes that we have not done. Oh.
And I can't believe I actually I want to apologize to the audience that we haven't done
this one yet. Yeah. It's coming up in just a little bit less than a half an hour away
we'll probably getting into that. All that coming up for you also want to get into a fun
one here about the four four things look forward to in February. Sorry. Five things
look forward to we're talking sports. We're talking entertainment. We needed the fifth
one for the extra day because it's a leap year. We needed that stuff for the 29th. Yeah.
So heads up a little preview to everybody. We are going to be talking about leap year
next week and throughout the couple of weeks here because we do have a leap year this
year. We do a leap day this year. Leap day. Leap day and leap year. Seth and I will kick
off the 9 o'clock hour talking a little bit of entertainment. I want to pick his brain
about the glass managerie and how that is going. We'll get into that. As I mentioned,
10 stats and facts about groundhog day as well as four tips if you're feeling stuck on
groundhog day. Just can't get motivated. Can't get moving in a rut. In a rut. Okay.
In a rut like a groundhog. We'll get into that. All that coming up for you, everybody.
We're looking forward to diving into all this. I do want to kick off our show in a really
fun spot. First off, a big, big thank you to Tiffany Ringer. She is the wood kind of
register of deeds. Tiffany joined us with Lance last Wednesday sent over a wonderful thank
you card for having her on and everything. It was a really sweet card. I appreciate that
very much. Very much. Tiffany was great having you on great meeting you. Looking forward to
I told her though I warned her. She did too good. She's going to have to come back.
That's a good thing. Did a good job. So we're looking forward to having Tiffany on the
oath. Again, appreciate all the work that she does, especially a year like this. I'm
telling you, this is this is one of the great things about having a local radio station.
Where else are you going to hear? Like this information, which was so interesting and
so important to people living in Wood County. This is big stuff. And you're not going to
hear that on any other radio station. We're very proud and very thankful to be able to
do that for the best listeners and radio. We'll continue to do that. I did want to mention
on Fridays. We usually, I should say usually loosely. Oh, I'll get to that in a second.
I almost forgot about mentioning Diane cookies from Diane. Everybody we have cookies from
Diane. That should be championed. That should be celebrate. We have to announce it every
time because we just are so thankful and thrilled that she does that. It's so nice.
If we can't thank Diane enough, not only for adding weight on me, trying to anyway, trying.
Yeah, she's doing her best. She is. We're really trying. But we appreciate that. And look,
if you are jealous of Diane, like it's okay, everybody. You can make you can you can
give us cookies too. And we'll mention you. We'll send a shout out and we're not limited
to cookies. You know, we can with donuts, pastry. I mean, we know we won't. We're not
fussy. You know, make this very clear to everybody. I can't be bought. All right. I
cannot be bought. But my stomach. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, it's open. Open season on his stomach.
Yeah, you can't buy me with money, but you give me a bunch of cookies and I'll sell
whatever you want. I love joke. Yeah, joke. We're looking for a big shout out to Diane.
I did want to mention that usually on Fridays, when we can, we're able to connect with our
friend Mike Clemens, talk some sports, talk some Wisconsin sports with one of the better
voices of sports in this state in sports in general, just worried Mike Clemens. Mike and
I have not been able to connect recently because we we have to call him and we haven't been
able to call out. Yep. We're working on that. But I talked with Mike this morning and
he is hope we are fingers crossed. He should be able to join us next Friday. All right.
Talk from the Super Bowl. Oh, calling us from Vegas. Wow. Yeah, it's going to be pretty
cool. We're looking forward to talk with him about that. A bunch of things going. I mean,
day, there is something new in Wisconsin sports. It's just crazy time right now. Literally.
I was emailing with Mike back and forth last night. And as we're emailing, I'm messaging.
I'm getting ready to message him and the carbon burns trades happens. So Mike sent over
his notes before that. And he had we had a ton to talk about already. And then that happens.
It's just it's a lot going on. And sports right now, man. We're looking forward to talk with
Mike when we can next Friday. We're looking forward to talking with you about sports on Monday's
playmakers. We got a lot to discuss. Lots, lots to talk about, man. I Randy will not be able
to be with us on Monday. So we'll see if Seth can pitch it or not. We'll find out if not,
then I'll have all you pitch it. You guys need a co-host on playmakers three to four every

Appreciate our gang over there. I don't know if this is the best place to start or not
Seth, but I feel like it's got to be covered. And I should give my bonafides my my resume here. I
am not only a proud Jewish man, but I am also a big bagel lover. And as as many people know out
there, Jewish people have been to love bagels. It's it's a bit of a stereotype. It's also something
you've ever met a Jewish person. It doesn't love bagels. I haven't to and to be fair, there's not
very many people who don't like bagels. We have thrilled that out there. Exactly. Very true.
But many people are calling this unholy and unholy idea. Philadelphia cream cheese has unveiled
whole less bagels. A regular bagel just no hole in the middle. Shops in five different cities are
selling them for a limited time. The entire thing is just a marketing stunt. They say it's better
because there's additional room to spread your cream cheese or butter. Sorry mom. Each bagel shop
has a slightly different version of it. So they're not launching a new product. It's just a gimmick.
The five shops selling them are in New York, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, and Montreal. Utopia bagels in
New York is also selling a 10 pack of theirs online for 70 bucks. Who's buying 70 dollars with a
bagel? That's a lot of bagels man. Thanks. That's a lot of bagel. I think there's a lot of
bagels right there. I don't know about this. I like the marketing stunt. Yeah. I guess it doesn't
matter. It's not like most bagels have a huge hole in the middle anyway. It's not like you're
getting a whole lot more bagel. Yeah. But for me, person, I don't care. If you have a little more
in there, the hole in the middle is not a game breaker for me. It's never bothered me. The only
now where this would come in handy is with the creation that my buddy Vince and I and Chris all
came up with the bagel bacon double cheeseburger. Right. Right. It is on a bagel, a bacon double cheeseburger
on a bagel. Yes. It is so good. But that hole can get in the way. So you got to, you got to set up
the meat right on there or maybe a slice of lettuce under the, you got to block the holes.
You got to block that hole. Yeah. But the bagel is such a great piece of bread to soak up that
meat. It's so good. Yeah. Well, and I think this is where this, this kind of bagel would actually come
in. I mean, you could really come in with some sandwiches and some really great bagel ideas
without the hole in the middle and make it easier. So maybe it's not such a bad thing. I think
if you're just designing them strictly for burgers, you know, exactly. You got, you got it right
there. Maybe we'll see the bagel burger coming up in a few, in a few months here now. And I
won't make a penny off it. No, you won't. Not a penny. Not even a penny. I won't even get a free
one. What do you do to be fair? I'm guessing you're not the first person to do that. Oh, no.
I don't have any bread, but oh, I got bagels. Oh, let's try that. It's one of those two in the
morning ideas when you think you're the first person to open up with this. And there's a reason
why copyright offices aren't open at two in the morning. Yeah. Oh, my God. Can you imagine that
one person having to answer the phone? All these these, these, these, you know, maybe a little off
people like, hey, man, I got this great idea. Hello, yes. Thank you for calling Acme copyright

It's a fun guy. The only thing I wish is that I had more time. I never have enough time with him.

in sports. Donald driver is 49 today. Oh, good old Donald former NFL wide receiver helped
the Packers beat the Steelers and Super Bowl 45. He's also a New York Times bestselling author
in season 14 dancing with the stars champion. Wow. And you could see Donald driver at a time you
like. He's always in commercials. Yes. Yes. And rightfully so. Yeah. Donald driver should be in
Wisconsin commercials for the rest of his life. Oh, man. He should be able to make a buck from that
the rest of his life. That smile and the way what he's put into this state. No, if I crack me
if I'm wrong, he's been his entire career with the Packers. Is that true? Yes, he did. Yes,

Christie Brinkley is 70 years old. Wow. Graham Nash is 82. Crosby Stills and Nash and
sometimes young. He's your children. Well, yes. He's he also wrote a bunch of their stuff.
Oh, yes. I believe I don't know if they had a lead songwriter, but he wrote a lot of it.
You're right. And some people no longer with us like the great the legend Tommy Smothers would
have been 87 today. Born in 37 passed away last year. A few legendary superstars started out
as writers on the Smothers Brothers comedy hour. These are kind of obscure names. So I don't know
if anybody's going to know these people like Rob Reiner or Bob Einstein, you know, him better
as Super Dave Osborne, Steve Martin, just a couple of people. Just a couple of people. I don't
know if you guys have ever heard of any of them or not. Basic William. Yeah. Yeah.
So many good ones. Yep. And Farrah Fawcett born in the state in 1947. Oh, very nice. Let's take

double down on driver. You will see a lifelong hacker. Right. He will always be my favorite. We've

I will I will match you on that with Sterling Sharp. I was I was very young when Sterling
Sharp had his his heyday and everything. But I always seemed to remember Sterling Sharp being
the same way, especially considering Farrah, like the throat in the middle, every freaking play.
And in short in his career. Right. It's true. But Sterling Sharp seemed to always had that kind of
smile too. Not as much as Donald driver. You're right about driver. I think driver has the edge
on that one. But Sterling was right there behind him. I'm a little surprised though. I thought
Jeff Query would get the nod as your favorite Packer receipt. I'm joking. I don't know. I just
I was just trying to give it an obscure name. Actually, I did get a chance to meet Jeff Query.
I was looking at Packers. The Packers always said that charity basketball games. Yeah. Yeah.
They actually came down to the Twin Cities that played against our kids, all the coaches,
the next year, football coaches. And him gotten to a little bit of a friendly pushy match.
It was friendly. It was more of it. It was set up funny. But I can still picture. I was my favorite
thing as a kid was watching kick and punt returners. And I can still remember Jeff Query.
Mullet blonde hair as he's looking to the end zone of everything. He was a lot of fun to watch.

About one quick thing about Christy Brinkley. I remember you going to the local county fairs
and playing the dark thing. A lot of posters. There was a poster up there. Everybody was
always trying to get her on the poster. Yep. Yep. It's a famous poster. I can't imagine how many of
those sold. Oh, many of those. Well, they're a fossil head of famous ones too. Yeah. Yeah.

Warwick Davis is 54 tomorrow. Famous three foot six giant. Oh man. Great actor. What a career
that man has had. I mean he has had him. He started as a teenager on on on on return of the Jedi
and he's been going full tilt ever since. Instead of very strong career, very consistent career
which all you can hope for as an actor is having consistent work. Yep. He got of course famous
from Willow. Yep. But went on from that to go on in the Harry Potter movies and some other roles
as well and then reprise the Willow role. Yes, that's right. And I think he was the leprechaun in
that horror series too. He was the leprechaun. He was wicket the Ewok as well. He was the coolest
Ewok. He was the coolest Ewok. I'm just saying. Yeah, he was all over in the Star Wars movie. Oh,
yes. One of my favorite TV actresses of all time more at Tierney is 59 today. Oh nice.
Abby on ER. She was Helen on Showtime's The Affair. She was supposed to be a to star on parenthood
but backed out because of her breast cancer diagnosis. Lauren Graham ended up taking that role.
Oh, wow. Anytime I saw my retiree, I smiled. There's something about her and her acting and
just the way that she carries herself. Am I right? News radio. That's where I saw her first.
Yeah. News radio is a part of the reason why I fell for her. I really like her as an actor.
Great actor. Nathan Lane is 68. Oh, one of the Nathan Lane. One of the best I've ever seen.
Yeah, period. And I can say this not only from seeing him on screen but seeing him on the stage.
I was fortunate when Nathan Lane was doing the Adam's Family Play. They did a tour of this and they
came to Chicago and him and BB Newworth. BB Newworth as a more Tisha and it was amazing and seeing him
in person like I was four or five rows back then. I could see the sweat on his brow.
It was amazing. It's one thing to see these people. It's absolutely the same darn thing as going
it's seeing something in person as far as a musician or an athlete. It's one thing to watch them,
you know, on the screen. But when you see them in person, it hits so much deeper. Your breath in
the same air as them. Your senses are hitting the same things theirs are and you're on such a
different wavelength. And it's so darn cool. And Nathan Lane is talented as you think he is.
Add a little. Go ahead and add a little to it. He's even better. I just finished the second season
of Only Murders in the Building. And he, boy, I tell you, he did something in that show that I've
never seen him. He's a very different character than that. And he pulls it off somehow. Nathan Lane,
he's such, that's all good of an actor he is. Part of how they've gotten the great guests that they
have on that show. Cameos and all that is giving people an option to do something different.
Playing against type. Yeah. Yeah. Meryl Streep, Nathan Lane, a lot of that. Martin Shorten
Steve Martin, both are kind of doing that as well in this show. It's such a good show.
Dave Davies from The Kinks is 77 tomorrow. Nice. Here's one for you and all your friends.
Fran Tarkenton is 84 tomorrow. Good old Fran. You know, he was one of the great hosts of that's
amazing. Oh, that's right. Yeah. Did he do anything else in his career? I don't know. That's
incredible. That's incredible or whatever it was. Yeah, that's it was. That's what it was.
He was, of course, quarterback for the Vikings for years and years. Yeah. I mean, Hall of Fame
quarterback. Yeah. And as somebody who has always been a big fan of the running quarterback,
he really got the ball rolling with that. He was one of the, that's what he was known for. In fact,
he was thought of kind of a weirdo because of how much he ran. Back to the, quarterbacks never ran
back then. He changed the game, though. Yep. He really did. Joey Bishop would have been
celebrating a birthday on Saturday, born in 1918, passed away in 2007. They're the long life. Wow.
He was alive for a long time. They didn't know that. One of the bigger pieces of the rat pack that
doesn't really get noted or a lot, but man, he was good. He was good. John Fideler, celebrating
a birthday on Saturday, born in 1925. He was the voice of Piglet and winning the poo. Oh, great,
great voice. What a voice. Oh, my gosh. And Norman Rockwell born tomorrow in 1894. He painted 317
covers for the Saturday evening post. My God, painted, painted, created. That's a man. I came up with
new ideas like, yes. Like, you could give me days that I could come up with like three, like
three things I, and I couldn't draw any of them. I could just come up with the ideas. Yeah. The,
the essential working artist, you know, that's what he did for a living. He did magazine covers.
He did all kinds of things. Couple of big birthdays on Sunday. Lawrence Taylor is 65.
Arguably the greatest linebacker we've ever seen. Defensive force. I've heard some people say.
Yeah. I'd love to throw Mike Singletair in there, but I mean, Lawrence kind of tops
quite a bit on that list. Yeah. A couple of singers you wouldn't expect to share a birthday.
Clint Black is 62 on Sunday. One of the finer voices and a gentleman in the country music.
And Alice Cooper is 76 on Sunday. They both dress a lot in black. So maybe that's their,
their connection. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I like to actually see them work together. That'd be

All right. This gets broken down into sports, TV, what's hitting theaters, and holidays, of course.
We kick things off with sports. The pro bowl is this Sunday. Crickets. They got to figure that out.
It's the only all-star game that really doesn't have a lot of no one really cares about. Yeah.
Yeah. You know, this is the weirdest thing. There's no bigger game in the world than football.
There's none. It's soccer obviously is a little bigger around the world, but as far as, and so I
guess technically football is still big. But it's gigantic in America. There's nothing to get
it's better ratings than football. Right. Except for the pro bowl. Except for the pro bowl.
We will watch preseason games where we don't know who the starting quarterback is, but you won't
watch the pro bowl. James, I'll do you one better, and I'm sorry, I apologize in advance, but
dude, the draft. Yeah. I mean, I mean, you're as guilty as anyone. I'm just like, like,
minutely following everything, you know, on the ground. So, I mean, if that doesn't tell you
something, there you go. Yeah. It's a great point. I can't. I got no fight against that one.
But yeah, it's weird that the pro bowl would not be not only, like, I think part of it is
that the players don't take it seriously. That's just it. And so why would the fans take it
seriously? And I think that has everything to do with it. It's a much more physical sport.
Yeah. And if it's placed at the end of the year, unlike the NHL all-star game where you can say
it's still a physical sport, but it's in the middle of the season. Well, even even, yeah, NBA,
NHL, I mean, they both have more physical things. So, they're not going to be playing 100% because
they don't want to get hurt, first of all. And second of all, it doesn't mean anything. So, yeah,
it's it's one of those things. It's gonna, I think that it's just more and more going to become
eventually just an off-season awards thing where you're nominated to the pro bowl or something.
Yeah, I mean, they've already got, you know, you're all pro people, you know, you're named
in all pro kind of thing. There's still lots of ways to measure how good a season, you know,
the best players had. They don't have to play in the game, though. Yeah. Super Bowl 58 is next Sunday,
Sunday, Sunday. The what now? Yeah, Super Bowl. Super Bowl. Super Bowl. What is that?
It's like, I know that everybody, we heard a lot of people, it's, you know, San Francisco,
Kansas City is going to be got a boring, not a lot of excitement. We wait, wait until
you get to the link of the game. Yeah. Wait until that game is on TV that I guarantee, obviously,
and this is not a stretch to say it'll be the biggest game in town. Everybody be watching.
And it's all we'll be talking about on Monday. It's good. It's the revenge game, you know,
for San Fran and see if they can, you know, you know, do that. So there's, I mean, there's storylines
to go with it. You've got, you've got arguably the greatest and most exciting quarterback that we've
seen, maybe in our lifetimes, playing in this game, and going up against an incredible defense,
and a, and the broad-perty situation, like he, he, he's nothing but a, like a lifetime movie TV,
like a story, his whole life, his life and his, what has happened to him and everything,
you've got him going up against the face of the league in Patrick Maholmes. You've got a lot
of storylines here. Yeah. Miss me with the boring Super Bowl stuff. Is it the Super Bowl? I
wanted or a lot of us wanted. No, no, it's not. No, I completely agree with that. But as far as
boring, get out of here, boring. Man, you don't, you appreciate what we have. Okay. We have had some,
we just had a Super Bowl not too long ago with the Rams and Patriots and did 10-6. I feel pretty
confident this one's actually a little higher scoring than that. Yeah, it's a Super Bowl. It's the
last game we get all year. Come on, enjoy it. Tiger Woods hosts the Genesis Invitational
starting February 15th, and the Daytona 500 is February 18th. Oh, yeah, that's right.
If you like over the top outfits, the New York Fashion Week starts next Friday, it runs through
February 14th. I will have to be off for that, as we all know, I'm a fashion icon. So I will be
there in Milan for this. I'm, wait, no, you're hilarious. I'm being told by my eight, no, I just
had a bunch of laughing emojis. No, apparently, I'll be here, never mind. Lots of TV, the Grammys are
Sunday, the final season of Curb Your Enthusiasm starts Sunday as well. Abid Elementary is back on
the 7th. Yes. NCIS returns on the 12th, and the new season of Love is Blind lands on the 14th.
When is show starts starting in February? Yeah, I know everything got messed up with cable and streaming
and everything, but I like the idea of having a season that started in September, you know.
Oh, I missed that. Yeah, I missed that. You know, you're not alone. A lot of people that would
have loved to it started them too. Young Sheldon and so helped me tie their back on the 15th.
Bluebloods, I believe in its final season is back on the 16th. American Idol kicks off its new
season on the 18th. A lot of people very excited about Avatar, the last airbender, the live action
version. The good, hopefully first. I hope so. Yeah. No Netflix, February 22nd is when that
premieres and the voice is back on the 26th. Survivor is back for a 46 season on the 20th. Wow,
holy cow. Last month, not as many movies this month, a handful more. One of the big ones,
a new spy action comedy, Argyle, opens tomorrow. The Spider-Man spinoff, Madam Webb with Dakota
Johnson is out on February 14th. Wow. Very curious about that one. How that goes. Yeah.
And I'm somewhat obscure character in Spider-Man lore. So I'm kind of very curious about it.
And it's already and what I don't like is people haven't even seen it yet. And they're already
talking trash about it. Like it's given chance. Give it a chance. Go to Johnson's good. We like her. Yeah.
Bob Marley, one love, opens the same day. I'm very curious about that one. I only saw a trailer
and man did it look good. Nice. It looked really, really good. I hope that's done well. Me too.
And the holidays, the big ones are Marty Graugh on the 13th Valentine's Day on the 14th
President's Day on the 19th and February, of course, is Black History Month.
Some other ones, of course, we got Groundhog Day today. National Pizza Day is on the 9th.
Oh, whoa. Hey, wait, wait. That's a Friday too, nice. It's a Friday. Yeah. Pizza Friday, everybody.
Laté Day is the 11th. Drink Wine Day is the 18th. Or any day, if you like. Those are both
Sundays. Interesting. The 22nd is National Margarita Day. And if you're a leap year baby,
you finally get to celebrate your birthday. Get a birthday this year. Nice. We, of course,
have leap year this year. And I had a great grandmother who was born on the 29th of February.
And when she turned, I can't remember what it was, but when she actually got to celebrate her 20th
first birthday. Yeah. When she was in her 80s, there was a big, in the local newspaper, it's like
local woman celebrates 21st birthday, you know, of any year old. Yes. I love when that happens.
Yeah. I think that's awesome when that happens. Yeah. I love when that happens. It's great.
It's good stuff. It's going to be a fun month. It's going to be a fun month. A lot of great
things going on in this month. We've, of course, got a lot of local things here going on this
month in town. We're going to talk about some of them when we get, wrap up our show with our good
stories of the day and local things going on in our area. I want to touch on a couple of big events
going on, not only this weekend, but in the month of February. Yeah. And we'll touch on some things
as well in our entertainment. We got more coming up with that. Okay. But I got another one here.
I wanted to touch on Seth and I'm trying to think where it went. So I don't know what to do with
this story. This could be a, that a right story, actually. So it's, it's time to start digging
through your parents or grandparents belonging to see if they have any vintage Disney tickets.
A guy found a ticket booklet from 1978 for Walt Disney World that was just collecting dust.
It was originally purchased for $8 and didn't have an expiration date.
What? So he flew to Orlando to see if it would work and documented it all on TikTok. Long story short,
it worked. Oh, they still accepted him. They gave him a one day ticket which today is worth
$164. And the guy said, quote, I can't believe this actually worked. That's awesome. That's pretty
cool. Hey, man, they like, well, it's a legal document. There's no expiration date on it. So
that makes sense. That's nice. Well, they honored it. He's really excited. He's got a Disney shirt on.
It's all over TikTok. You can find it. Please tell me he didn't just fly to Orlando with like on a
whim. He didn't even know if it would work or not because it's saying in the article that he flew
to Orlando to see if it would work. So I'm really hoping he did just like on a whim. I do see
young kids so maybe. I hope he called that. Just a double check to make sure. Can I use this
still? I hope. Yeah, you really do. You really do. I mean, almost you almost got to give him a
break there. Just out of like feeling bad. Yes, please, please. That's that's jeesh. That is a
rough one right there. And one of the, uh, where's my daughter? Where's this? I apologize. Oh,
here it is. So I wanted to talk about these Oreos. Uh, we were talking cookies earlier.
Oh, I think shout out to Diane and those cookies. You got us. Appreciate you, Diane. Thank you so
much for those. Uh, we got to talk a little more cookies though. So many types of Oreos exist. We
stopped caring, but they got us on this one. Something called space dunk Oreos. Oh, I've heard of
these. Yeah, I've heard of them. Yes. Um, these are going to be, uh, instead of normal white
filling, they've got two pink and blues, uh, layers along with popping candy. Oh, pop rocks. Yeah.
So we touched on this, uh, a little bit ago and talked about them. Um, now we've gotten some
feedback on them. One person will get a seat from these on a space perspective flight into
a tentatively schedule for next year. What? So, uh, as part of this, uh, celebrating them doing
these, they're, you can go on Oreos.com, Oreos website and you can get on a chance to, you know,
take flight and go to the edge of space. The edge of space. Yes. Go to space. It's just the edge
of space. So, uh, who knew space had an edge? Apparently some people have been a little, uh, upset
about this. They are not going to technically space. And so that's why we're talking about it a
little bit right here. Uh, yeah. Yeah. That's, uh, let me stop the space. We're not, we're not,
we're just, just, just stop. Just, just stop. If you want to go to space, become an astronaut.
Yes. All right. Go on that. Learn a useful, you know, scientific thing. Yeah. Go to the space station,
you know, live there for a while or talk to Ralph Cramden. I don't know. Uh, figure it out.
And a woman is going viral on social media for bragging about how she returned her couch to Costco
after using it for more than two years. Oh wow. Costco has a very generous return policy,
which doesn't mention many restrictions other than for electronics, jewelry, alcohol and some
others. Okay. The woman, Jackie, says that she was intimidated about asking for a refund
just because she didn't like it anymore, but she added who cares, return it, and they have an
awesome return policy. She didn't even have a receipt. She just told them, uh, when she bought it,
they looked it up on the system and credit their credit their credit card. Wow. She got credit
at 900 bucks. Wow. For using a couch for two years. Used couch. Yeah. Naturally, the,
the reaction online is mixed. Some people online are a comment, a commanding Jackie for working
the system to her favor. They argue that Costco gets money back from manufacturers for returns,
and they're already paying an annual membership fee to shop there. Um, but others are slamming her,
saying that people who abuse the system eventually force companies to make returns harder for everyone
else. They add that it's, uh, that it waste employees time makes the lines longer for everyone else
and ultimately raises prices for everybody. Maybe I guess I don't know where a lot of people doing
this. Um, well, everybody's correct on this. Yeah. I think the people that are commending her are
correct as much as the people that are slamming her are correct. You two things can be true at
the same time. Um, that, that is why these things happen. A lot of people got bent out of shape
of a Netflix, including myself about Netflix doing what they did, but there were so many of us,
and I include myself in this, uh, of us sharing passwords. Right. Eventually, hey, all right,
we're hemorrhaging money over here. And we're going to go ahead and do this. It's, it's, you know,
it to be fair, you know, that's, that's, that's very big of you. That's not the reason why they're
necessarily hemorrhaging money. No, no, no, no. It's because they have a horrible business model,
but yes, but I, yes, your point is well taken. I mean, yes. When we, uh, when we abuse systems,
of course, it's going to happen. It happened with self checkout instantly. Instantly, people were
trying to swipe extra items and things. And so now the self checkout things have cameras on them.
Yep. So now, everyone of us got to be recorded, even if we're not doing those things. When you
get your packet gum, you know, you're going to get it recorded, you know. But at the same time,
you know, we've been putting this situation as consumers and companies, we should be on the same
page. Yeah. We should be working together. We both need each other. We should all be able to
get along and make this work. We know that's not how business works, though. There are always
companies and, and, and businesses that are trying to kind of, you know, short cut you. And,
that's true. It's understandable. The consumers try to find short cuts as well because they're
doing it to us and vice versa. Yeah. Um, it's, it's none of this, though, is a good business model.
No. No. No. We're fortunate that a lot of this has worked the way it has as long as it has,
because a lot of the way we do business is not very intelligent. By the way, how do you get tired
of a couch in two years? Yeah. That's, to me, I don't, I don't, I mean, I, I use a couch till it's like
dead, you know, until like springs are coming out of it. Well, and here's the thing. And maybe I'm
a little sensitive to this because, uh, you know, whenever I get a chance, uh, almost every Sunday,
I watch a couch get destroyed on the Simpsons. And, and, and I don't know if it's that or,
or maybe my love of being born on a couch or, or whatnot, but nobody's thinking about the poor
couch here, Seth. No, that's true. Two years and you're thrown to their side of the car. You
just throw away. That sounds just kind of mean. It doesn't get a chance to get, you know, you,
two years is around the time you're starting to get a really, you know, fit, you know, you get the,
yeah, you get your dent or whatever you want to call it, you know, you're spot, you and the
couch have gotten to know each other finally. You know, it's not awkward anymore. Weird. Now,
you can just plop right down and everything. Yeah. Um, I don't know about that. That's a,
that ain't right story. But because of the given two years, two years. Yeah. Yeah. Although,
I, I'm curious about the people who accepted it, you know, just said they didn't look at the date
maybe. They're like, oh, yeah, you could take it back and then like, wait a minute. What two years
ago? Whoops. I, I hope so badly that somebody just happened to turn it into the right, turn us on.
Right as we're talking about empathy for couches. We've gone too far. We've gone too far with empathy.
We've gone too far. And we've still got an hour to go yet. We'll have empathy for all kinds of
things in the next hour, everybody. Yeah, be able to look out, find out where we're going with our
