band is the electrification of indie groove rock in Wisconsin based in
Green Bay husband and wife songwriting team Jeremiah and Elmi jam Emily
James are at the heart of the band that features an outstanding rhythm section
as you just heard and on the phone with us right now from the jam
boozled music and art festival in Mendoza Illinois

radio hey everybody how you doing thanks for having us on yeah you know you
got to be careful when you're out there you're that far away from civilization
way out there the the phones just barely work right yeah it's body out here
at the show that's for sure where is Mendoza Illinois and Illinois I guess I
don't even know as a Wisconsin person why would we right it's just like a
little south of Chicago but more central Illinois there's just lots of cows and
more at less hours apparently yeah yeah it's actually kind of like where I live
in Wisconsin it's like brilliant out there it's just a lot of corn and farms yeah
there you go now you're playing jam boozled tonight who else is playing at jam
boozled anyone we might know highlights there's it's a lot of up and coming bands
we have eminence ensemble that played they're from Colorado and a bunch of new
acts that I'm actually just getting to know today so it's been a good learning
experience I open a lot of the new musicians yeah awesome love it Jeremiah before
we talk about your band upcoming shows and music how did you become involved in
music I mean what's your backstory my backstory is I come from musical
families my dad was a guitar player and active musician and that's how I fell in
love with music was through his love of music and my parents took me to see the
grateful dead when I was a kid really young and just all the positive energy
that resulted from the music really moved me to become a musician and I
that's what started my journey do you play other instruments besides guitar I
just played guitar that's my soul instrument I focus on I can play bass as well
because it's similar instrument for sure but I'm always been solely a guitar player
now you and your wife Emily are a songwriting duo and she's a multi-instrumentalist
how did you meet Emily and you know start this band with her yeah Emily amazing
musician I'm so lucky to play with and of course be her husband but we met on
stage we got hired for the same band at a local open mic that was every
Thursday night at cranky pad moon and Wisconsin oh yeah some of the best
beats are around right and we just hit it off right away and it was
undeniable there was a connection musically and many other levels as well and
and then we just started the band kind of for fun on the side because we were in
a cover band and a couple other projects and we quickly realized we could
write music easily together and it just took off from there now do you did you
guys play your wedding because I saw a picture of Emily playing sax and a wedding
dress yeah she sure did play in a wedding as well and keyboard it was pretty
cool I pictures their hair suddenly open everything but yeah for our
reception we just played with all the bands we were in at that time and it was
just a blast at cranky pad wow when was this when did that happen this was
five years ago five years ago well congratulations five years late do you guys
argue about restaurants or driving directions we actually don't argue about
too much it's one of the beauties it's been one of those things that's just
always worked for us you know yeah we support each other a lot and you know when
you spend so much time together because we always work together we we learn
when to give each other space and all that and it's always just kind of been a
good thing well tell us about the Jeremiah James band I mean what's the back
story for the band and and you guys have this just an outstanding rhythm section
well thank you we're very fortunate to work with a bunch of different rhythm
sections from all over Northeast Wisconsin we just started out with you know
the dream of having the same core people forever but that didn't work out you
know and we realized and that kind of happened right around the pandemic time
right after we released our first album and being the pandemic we had to work
remotely with players and we worked with some national people and local players
and we are like why don't we just keep this idea going for live shows when it
comes back and that's what we've done we just have made friends with you know a
lot of different players and it's it's been a beautiful thing to come like a
little family of musicians that you know we get our blessed to work with wow
that's a great story can't wait to see the band but you know we can see the
band around Wisconsin coming up I see you have some upcoming shows at the
Opie Brewing Company in West Dallas on October 4th at the tracks in Green Bay on
the 5th of October and then the one barrel brewing pumpkin patch festival
that's up in Eck Harbor in Dark County on the 12th of October that sounds like
a lot of fun and it's a good time up there that one barrel brewing in general
but that pumpkin patch festival is a big deal in Dark County and it's a really
good time. Wow it sounds like a lot of fun I love Dark County then the Stone
Arch Sessions at Stone Arch Brewing Company in Appleton on the 15th of
October Musca the Cultural Center on the 17th what what is that place I kind of
was trying to look for it right the culture all I apologize that is a miss
typing on there let me pull it is called the Mova Cultural Center it could be a
big difference there to be so I apologize for that miss type now I know I couldn't
find it here yeah it's a brand new place in Depeer Wisconsin right on the
water beautiful center they do a lot of things for the arts and we're very
blessed to play there I'm excited to do that that will be our first time playing
there as well as the Stone Arch Sessions that's a great little musical venue
that they have going in Appleton they've been doing it for years and we're
excited to be a part of it then I see enduzis and Kimberly on the 19th of
October you guys are playing a lot mechanized grilling spirits in Green Bay on
the 26th 5th Ward Brewing Company and anniversary party in Oshkosh on the 15th
of November and then you're wrapping it up Waverly Breach Waverly Beach in
Manasha on November 16th yeah it's a nice little runoff shows we try to play
as often as we can and that's partly what led to us using so many different
rhythm sessions because it's hard to find people who can play as often as Emily
and I are able to you know um so that's partly what led to that opening up to
such a nice thing for us now tell us about your music catalog upcoming releases

those two songs are a part of our upcoming third album that will be released
hopefully the end of this year and maybe beginning of next year it all depends on how it works out
um and the cool thing each tune we're releasing a different part of our artwork from the album
and it's slowly revealing the artwork as each single is released wow and we're blessed to work
with Caleb Williams he's a nationally known artist that works with like Billy Strings and
Trana Stazio string cheese incident stuff like that um so we're pretty excited for the whole
project in general the music and the art going with it Jeremiah Jam's thank you so much for
