What’s Their Reason (Hour 2)

Matt Flynn Direct · Thu Jan 18, 2024

We're talking on all political subjects and taking on all colors.

This is Matt Flynn Direct with your host, Matt Flynn.

You're welcome back to the second hour of Matt Flynn Direct.

I mean, you statewide in live on civic media.

Our lines are open 844-967-2789.

No subject is off limits and all points of view are welcome.

Getting back to history in the making, history in the making, Judge Kaplan in the E.G.

and Carol Case yesterday said he would throw Trump out of the courtroom if he continued

to disobey the court's orders and mouth off in front of the jury.

Today, I think was Trump's mother-in-law's funeral and I think he's not there for that reason.

But the truth of the matter is that when Judge enters an order, you may not like it,

in which case you can appeal it.

And if you think it's urgent, you can take what's called an interlocutory appeal.

In other words, right in the middle, you can just try to get in the pellet judge and they'll do it sometimes

and some things on the phone in having reverse it.

It's rare, but it happens.

It's very rare when it comes to something like trial decorum.

But here, what Judge Kaplan was worried about was that Trump would try to intimidate the jury

and try to testify while not under oath and say things that are false,

giving the jury the appearance they're true.

Well, what Trump did was, and he was told, he said, when you're talking to your lawyer,

you can talk to your lawyer.

What's normal in court is I talk to my client, you sort of cover your mouth and they whisper to one another.

Well, he would turn to his lawyer and just, this is a hoax.

This is rigged.

He'd say things like that.

The judge had managed him twice and frankly, if that happened in trial,

I was involved in whoever was doing it would be out of the courtroom.

The judge has the right to expel you from a civil trial.

The judge does not have the right to expel you from a criminal trial.

If you do stuff like that in a criminal trial, the way that it's done was done in the murder in Waukeshaw,

the guy that took a car and drove through the parade.

Christmas parade a few years ago and killed the dancing grannies and a little kid and an older guy.

He was bad news and he insisted on representing himself and malding off the judge put him in a holding.

It's really a sell.

It looks like a cage, the sound proof.

And he can do whatever he wants in there and the jury can see it,

but they can't hear him till the judge activates the sound.

You could do that with Trump, but Trump doesn't have to show up.

So one thing you could do is say you're out of here, you can't show up.

You want to show up, I'll put you in a sound proof cage.

That would be bad for Trump's self-styled image, which is tough man and authoritarian.

But it's pretty clear to me, and I think the most lawyers that Trump is trying to get himself thrown out,

trying to get himself expelled from the courtroom.

So he can play a poor Mr. Martyr to his supporters.

And at one point, the judge said that he thought he would like to be thrown out.

And Trump said, I would love that.

I would love that.

Now, he also, among other things, would try to stare down jurors,

stare down witnesses.

And there's kind of a menacing message behind it.

Because the minute he goes on truth social, or one of his media outlets,

one of his social media outlets, the person gets death threats.

The judge's law clerk got death threats.

He's afraid to go home in the subway at night.

He operates by death threat.

It's the way the mafia operates.

Well, in this case, Kaplan is a no-nonsense guy.

And he doesn't want to throw Trump out, because Trump will then claim that somehow it was unfair.

But that's very clearly his right if he continues to obstruct the trial.

Now, Trump is the right to testify.

He says he will testify.

I think he has to be very careful.

If I was a lawyer, I wouldn't let him testify.

Because this isn't about whether or not he raped her, or sexually abused her, or assaulted her.

This is about, he's found to have lied about that.

A prior jury found that.

And when you have a prior jury finding something, it's called collateralist topple,

and it nails you in the future.

The only issue now is how badly, monetarily,

was she damaged the second time around by his doing it.

He did it 22 times on Tuesday, by the way, today's Thursday.

He does it every day.

She'd have to be bringing lawsuits the rest of her life.

You'd think there'd be some figure that would deter him.

Maybe a figure like the Giuliani figure in Georgia,

with Shane Moss and Ruby Freeman, $108 or $9 million.

It may take an injunction.

It may take an injunction.

But Trump continues to assault conventional authority,

continues to do it, and apparently that's attracted to some of his base.

But the truth is, though this be madness yet there's method in it.

Shakespeare was right.

Though this be madness yet there's method in it.

Because he is giving, continues to give the impression of the rogue,

the outlaw, the guy on the outside.

And that's all well and good.

But at what point does that splash back at him?

Two polls were taken just in the other day,

in which Biden improved significantly in numbers against Trump.

Trump had been leading him by four points nationally.

Now he's leading him by one point,

which is easily margin of error.

One point is easily margin of error.

And independence, Biden has improved by, I don't know,

four or five points among independence.

What I'm gathering from all this is that people out there,

they may be mesmerized by him, some of them may support him.

But people basically want safety, stability, prosperity and peace.

And they may think that initially having a guy like this

will restore that a lot, I don't know why.

But if they get alarmed that he's too far off the mark,

that this guy is a few bricks short of a load,

that he could do something that could trigger an international incident

that we can't afford.

And Biden is very experienced at foreign policy.

I think that that is, that's what's happening here.

Whiskopal, my friend.

Thanks for coming.

What's your mind?

Hey, Whiskopal.

Thanks for taking my call, Matt.

I'm going to raise a point.

And then you can correct me.

I want to be done.

First of all, we know the highest court in the land

is cropped around the tape.

They're beholding to the big money donors.

So anything is on the table with these boys.

Citizens United, I don't know why they call it that.

But that is a lot to screw up politics.

So seeing anything's on the table, you can look at Social Security.

You can look at Medicare.

You can look at Labor Union laws.

You can look at just about anything.

They'll go against current or what used to be policy.

Now, if Donald Trump becomes president,

do you think any of these things are off limits?

If you do in my mind, you're crazy.

Let's put Biden in the picture as president.

He could have stand tall and say, no, no, no.

This is not going to happen.

And I worry.

I talk to our presidency with these cropped Supreme Court

justices, anything is on the table.

And you could correct me, but that is by worry.

So thanks for taking my call today.

No, you're absolutely right.

And let me jump to that right now.

And I'm very, very glad you raised this.

In 1935, when Franklin Roosevelt passed Social Security,

the Supreme Court initially said it was unconstitutional.

And they were about to issue a formal decision on that.

And when I say unconstitutional, it clearly

is not unconstitutional.

But it's whatever they say, according to them,

and remember something.

We have three branches of government,

judicial executive and legislative.

Judiciary can be impeached or removed from office.

The Congress, they can be removed from office.

But the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court says

it can overturn any decision of the executive in the Congress.

But the executive in the Congress can't overturn their decisions.

There's no appeal from them.

And they're appointed for life.

They're not elected.

And that was pointed out to Alexander Hamilton

at the rating of the Constitution.

Somebody said, what's to prevent a crooked Supreme Court

from doing whatever it wants?

And you know what?

Alexander Hamilton said, he said, they do not have an army.

If it gets bad enough, the executive interferes with that.

However, you don't want that.

This isn't a banana republic.

But these people are shameless.

Take a look at the ones that have taken money.

Several of them were on the take.

They really are.

And they're wise around the take.

Several of them.

And they do the bidding of the Republican party.

And if Trump gets back in, instead of having six

tarantulas, at the next time this is going to be a, you know,

they'll have seven rate tarantulas.

They're place to be crawling with tarantulas.

We need Joe Biden in there.

When there is another Supreme Court appointment,

we need somebody who has has a head on his shoulders

or her shoulders is sane as a patriot

and cares about our democracy.

But yeah, I think that if Trump got in,

somebody in the far right, the Heritage Foundation,

could say Social Security is, we

wanted declaratory judgment.

Social Security is unconstitutional.

Instead, the Congress is passing a thing that's privatizing it.

You can just set up your own IRA or your own 401k.

We can't anyway for Pete's sake.

And that's what's constitutional.

And if five of them say it, that's the way it is.

At some point enough is enough.

They've already gotten rid of Roe v. Wade.

There are states like Idaho and Texas

that will not permit an abortion even

to save the life of the mother.

Even to save the mother's life and the Supreme Court

is fine with that.

Citizens united, you can give as much money as you want

and not say where it came from.

But there's another statute that says it can't be foreign.

How do you know whether it's foreign if you don't know where it came from?

There's another one, Shelby County, that

said that the Voting Rights Act has to be thrown out,

even though Congress passed it and didn't say that itself.

What is their reason for doing that?

What is their power?

It's a case called Marbury versus Madison

a little over 200 years ago, where they simply

said we have the power and nobody interfered

until they said the Dred Scott decision,

other things and people got really ticked off.

Really ticked off.

Coming up, coming up, we are going to see

why $300 billion of Russian money is going to Ukraine.

And we are also going to talk about the attacks by Trump

against the Freedom Caucus itself, believe it or not.

Tell them that God's going to cut you down.

Tell them that God's going to cut you down.

Tell them that God's going to cut you down.

Broke back to Madeline Direct.

Our lines are open 844-967-2789.

Well, the word is that Europe and the United States

have agreed and they are about to confiscate $300 billion

in Russian assets, Russian money, that's sitting

in Western banks, predominantly in Europe,

UK, Germany, Austria, France, but also in Canada

and some in the United States.

And put it into fun to support Ukraine.

It's been estimated that to repair the damage

that the rescues have done in Ukraine will cost $500 billion

and more to correct, to repair, to say nothing of the money

needed for their weapons right now.

That's very, very good news.

It's overdue.

There have been a lot of hand-ringing and all that kind

of stuff about it, but it's the right thing to do.

When somebody commits an intentional act like genocide

and sadism, they have to pay the price.

It's also just been reported that Russia has burned through

almost half of its liquid reserves.

Now, their liquid reserves are a lot less than ours.

They had about $100 billion in liquid reserves.

They just burned through it all because Putin

and the oligarchs steal money.

They steal a lot of money.

Anything that's appropriated by the Duma.

So they go into the reserves.

And of the $100 billion, I think there's

like $55 billion left.

And that in a year or two, a year and a half,

they're going to have no liquid reserves.

There are a couple of other things that have to be done.

The Ukrainians are fighting so bravely.

They just shut down to Russia.

And I think we call them AWACS.

It's an aircraft that's really a floating spy ship

that can track positions and track radars and all that.

They're very expensive.

They each cost a couple of $100 million.

And the Ukrainian shut down two of them.

US intelligence thinks that's that because the F-16s

that we're sending them are imminent.

It's going to they're going to come in in a month or so.

Training is finishing up.

And Russia is very afraid of those

in trying to figure out where they're going to be

so they can bomb on the ground.

But there's a couple of other things, a couple of other things.

We have got to put a lot more pressure on Russia than we have.

We have a Republican party in this country

that frankly will sacrifice Ukraine.

The so isolationists and many of them are so pro-Putin

because Trump is pro-Putin that they won't vote for any aid.

Now, they're afraid of Trump.

Trump is afraid of Putin.

He acts survival in Putin's presence.

He demeans himself in our country in Putin's presence

because he is being blackmailed

and because he is being bribed.

He's being funded by the Russians.

He owes him a lot of money.

He owes the Russian mafia a lot of money.

Their oligarchs are their mafia.

Putin is their mafia.

I think it will ultimately pass.

I hope it ultimately passes.

The moderate Republicans come together to their senses.

But if it does not, in addition to the money

that we're going to confiscate, Russian assets,

there's a couple of other things we have to do.

We have to enforce secondary sanctions.

And that just got put into effect.

And as a result, Turkey and China,

some of their major banks are no longer doing business

with Russia.

What's the secondary sanction?

You know what's the sanction?

The bad guy, you sanction anybody dealing with the bad guy.

Turkey and China have just announced

that several of their major banks

won't do business with Russia,

won't let oil money be deposited, et cetera, et cetera.

Number two, there was a town in pressure

called Königsberg and the Baltic

and the great philosopher Emmanuel Kant

spent his whole life there.

The Russians and Stalin demanded it

after Second World War,

even though it's not continuing.

It was not attached to Russia.

And the Allies finally said fine

because it looked like we're going to also

have to fight the Japanese still.

Russia changed the name of Königsberg to Kaliningrad,

named after a communist guy.

But the only way they can get to it

is to go from the Black Sea

through the Dardanelles into the Mediterranean

out into the Atlantic and around the Baltic.

So for years, they had been running trains

to supply them through Lithuania.

Now, Lithuania said we don't want that anymore.

The EU at the very beginning of all of this invasion

of Ukraine said, we decide you have to.

Well, it's time to stop that.

Russia is a sadistic genocidal power under Putin

and they are trying to obliterate the European country

Ukraine that is our friend.

No more trains through the Baltic states

to get through to Kaliningrad, which was Königsberg.

The other thing is this.

There are still other entities that are dealing with Russia

and these secondary sanctions have got to be enforced.

They've got to be enforced.

And finally, a message to all Republicans again.

What you are doing to simply try to gain an advantage

in the 2024 election is worse than a crime.

It's a blunder.

The reason it's a blunder is because people know what you're doing.

They know that you are betraying America

and they don't want any part of you in your hide.

But it's also a crime.

The Ukrainians are good people.

They're brave people.

And for about 5% of our defense budget,

we're not losing a single soldier or sailor.

We're not losing a single American airplane

or any of our equipment that's in our hands

and standing by and watching the magnificent country

Ukraine grind Russia to a standstill,

grind it down, eliminate its power, and eliminate its influence.

And for a party in this country to interfere with that

is an act of treason.

And there are many, many Republicans in the House

and the Senate who agree with me and they don't want to do it.

But they are afraid of Trump.

Some are afraid of primaries.

Some are afraid for their lives.

And some are afraid for their daughters and sons and wives and husbands.

Because Trump issues coded death threats out on social media

and he has a large band of rabble who respond.

And it may be that 99% of them are just talking and woofing.

It may be that 999 out of 1,000 are doing that.

It may be that 999 out of a million are.

But for the one that isn't, that's the one people are worried about.

We are running our government, our foreign policy based on fear.

And that is because of the Republican Party.

So Ukraine is in great shape in my judgment.

It's going to get more money.

It's going to take 500 billion to rebuild it.

It needs money right now for weapons.

This money is not going to get confiscated for another month or so.

And then being put in liquid form and getting to them

is going to take time as of the essence.

Time is of the essence.

OK, we're coming up.

We're coming up to some news.

We're going to come up to some weather.

And then it turns out the Trump is now attacking.

Believe it or not, the House Freedom Clock is chairman

if you can believe that.

The Democrats are now attacking the House Freedom Clock.

So, we're going to come up to some weather.

We're going to come up to some weather.

The lines are open, eight, four, four, nine, six, seven, two, seven, eight, nine, you know,

Trump attacks everybody, but it amazed me that he would attack what are his most ardent

supporters and get away with it.

Listen to this.

This is what he just did.

He attacked Bob Good.

Now, Bob Good was just elected the President or Chairman of the Freedom Caucus Republican.

He's a right wing nut.

He's a hardline type that buss the government.

Let's shut it down, government is evil.

He sort of mirrors Trump on everything except for one thing.

He endorsed Ron DeSantis.

He endorsed Ron DeSantis.

And after Iowa, here's a statement from Trump's campaign manager, Chris LeCivitan, his name,

Trump's campaign manager said, quote, Bob Good won't be electable after we get done

with him.

And quote, good, you know, you think, well, maybe good as a spine.

Maybe good really believes everything he's been saying.

Maybe he is hardcore.

Maybe he realizes that Trump isn't, isn't, because there isn't an American.

He's for potent.

He's for destroying our democracy.

Maybe he understands all that well wrong.

He doesn't understand any of that.

Here's his response.

He sniveled.

He sniveled.

He said, I like Trump.

I guess I just thought we needed an eight year guy.

There was a DeSantis one, he could get reelected.

In other words, nothing to do with the Santas, what he stood for, whatever, I like Trump.

Just thought we needed an eight year guy.

Well, the problem for us is Trump gets in.

He made the side.

He is an eight year guy and just never leave.

I mean, that's the kind of guy he is.

That's the kind of guy he is.

This is a very, very dangerous thing.

Trump also went after Cruz, again, again.

He said that Cruz's wife, this is in 2016, was ugly, that's what he said, direct quote

unquote, said that Cruz's father was in on the assassination of JFK.

Cruz gave an impassioned speech saying he doesn't get angry easily, but he's not going

to put up with these attacks on his wife's honor and his father's honor, then he gave

a speech at the convention, attacking Trump, and he got a lot of booze.

He immediately went snively weeks fine.

He went down to a call center to make calls for Trump.

St. Trump was competent, the most competent, he caved, sort of like in North Korea, they

go after you and you can betray your own family, he caved.

So you'd think that would be enough, enough.

That was not enough for Trump.

He just now has come out and said, I could have killed Cruz, I could have killed them,

but I let them live.

You know, this business of I could have killed them, but I'd let them live with Bob Good,

he won't be electable when we get done with him, what are you going to work him over, beat

him up?

Time up and whip him.

I mean, this is sick.

This is a guy, Saddle Messochistic, he was diagnosed by a number of eminent psychiatrists

with the caveat that they didn't examine him personally, but they've seen him on TV

enough and examine him personally, what, he lies in the couch, so what, so what?

They said he was a Saddle narcissist and Sadism, when you think back to the Marquitos

and Sad has two flip sides to the coin, sadism and masochism.

Trump is Saddle Messochistic, he treats women statistically, emotionally, physically,

just walks up and grabs him between the legs.

He said it himself on Axis Hollywood, what he did to Eugene Carroll, she's in a dressing

room, he walks in, throws her up against the wall, he's a heavy guy, pulls up her skirt,

puts her hands in her pants, right there, treats women statistically, treats other people

statistically, all of his supporters are either we're in jail, are in jail, we're pardoned,

finish their sentence, bankrupt, demeaned, all of them, the whole train of them, and he

sheds them like flies off they go and he gets somebody else, but he's also masochistic,

he's servile, he's subservient, he's subservient, Kim Jong-un, Putin, anybody who thinks he thinks

is powerful, he kind of trembles with homorotic civility and drops to his knees, and he was

our president for Pete's sake, we're far more powerful than Russia because of our values

in our constitution, but also economically and militarily, and historically.

Russia's economy is about the size of Italy, about the 10th or 12th in the world.

It's a joke to try to say it's a superpower, if it didn't have nuclear weapons, it would

have been bombed a long time ago.

Kim Jong-un's economy, believe it or not, is the size of the economy of Birmingham, Alabama.

The Kim Jong-un holds sadistic control over every human being in his country, and Trump

is in awe of that.

Trump drops to his knees in front of Kim Jong-un.

Kim Jong-un tortured out a warm beer from the University of Virginia, sent his body back

to his parents, and nobody in our state department did anything to stop it, did anything.

Trump didn't do anything, he was president.

Line Mike Pompeo did nothing, Crocodontal Trump did nothing.

He's mesmerized with his masochism, and so when he goes after somebody like Bob Good,

he thinks it's beneath him, and Bob Good angered him by endorsing dissentists, that

act of disloyalty engendered this hatred, and it's not just Bob Good.

There is a political consultant who's highly regarded in the Republican Party, very effective

named Jeff Roe, ROE, Jeff Roe, and he has a company, I think it's called Axiom.

He just went after Jeff Roe and said, he's toast, and he also is trying to get Republican

candidates for Congress, for Senate, for governor, for anything, not to hire Jeff Roe to

try to bust his business.

Why is that?

Because Jeff Roe is the consultant for dissentists.

So he retaliates massively against anybody who opposes it.

You can't have that in the president, we had it for four years, and the only thing that

saved us, the only saving grace, was that he put in some people initially who were patriots,

and that is the defense secretary, remember, the people in the Justice Department at the

end who said they'd quit, rather than lie and say there was problems with the election.

General Milley and the other generals who would not use the troops to seize voting machines.

But next time around, he knows people of his ilk.

He recognizes people of his lack of character, his hatred of country, and submissiveness,

and if he puts them in, and they do the things that he wanted, this can be a constitutional

crisis.

You know, Wiscoe Paul made a good point when he called in just a little bit ago.

Wiscoe Paul said that the tarantulas, Supreme Court justices on the take, what could they

do in a Trump presidency?

Well, I'll tell you what they're doing right now.

I've talked to you about the Chevron case, and you know that that was argued yesterday.

Well, we have report from people who are experts who sat in and watched the oral argument and

know what was going on.

By the way, you can't photograph it.

It's open to the public, but they're hardly any seats because of good luck, but you

can listen to it as a recording of it afterwards, and it's pretty apparent to the observers who

have expertise that the tarantulas are about to either overrule or severely limit the

Chevron decision and take away the power of administrative agencies to make regulations.

That is beyond catastrophic.

In 1788, there were no administrative agencies.

There was no science.

There was no anti-pollution laws.

There was nothing.

Now, we have agencies in cabinet positions.

We hire PhDs in biology and chemistry and physics in our defense department, our

EPA.

We hire economists in the consumer protection bureau, and they issue regulations.

And a lot of thoughts goes into them.

And when after Chevron, they limited the powers of the administrative agencies to this extent.

They said they can make regulations, but if they are clearly unreasonable, they can be overturned

by the courts.

And that's fine.

You know, if occasionally there is one, like the SEC had a rag that said that you could

be tried for insider trading by their own in-house judges, and good luck in winning that one,

and that got set aside.

Okay.

But what they're doing now is saying that unless Congress, and this is what the decision

will be, unless Congress approves the regulation, it has no force of law.

Now, Congress can't approve a budget.

They can barely approve a continuing resolution.

They can't approve promotions to our generals.

They may not pay our troops.

They go home a lot.

They go home early.

They come in on Monday and leave on Friday.

They come in at 10 in the morning.

They're lazy as hell is what they are.

Some are crooked as hell.

You think they are going to go through thousands of regulations and hold hearings with PhDs

in chemistry and biology that ain't going to happen.

So what's going to happen is that they will still put out these regulations that have

no force of law, and then they'll be litigation.

They'll be tons of litigation.

Every rule will have litigation.

This is a judicial and lawyerful employment act.

And the Supreme Court has set up, we'll sit up there, and they have taken the authority

of the executive and the Congress away from both and given it to themselves without

a shot being fired from the executive, because the administrative agencies are appointed

by the executive, and from the Congress, because they know very well that Congress doesn't

have time to handle this.

The Congress, some of them are crooked.

They're all lazy.

Some of them, they don't have time to do anything.

So then there'll be a lawsuit.

Lawyers will get hired, judges, they'll be demand for judges.

This is what's happening as a result of that oral argument tomorrow.

That is the best intelligence, the best judgment of people who have expertise in this area.

This is the best judgment of people who have expertise in this area.

What do you do?

You don't want to resort to force?

We got to stand by, Joe Biden's got to get reelected.

He has got to appoint more Supreme Court judges.

And if the tarantulas do what I've just described, there's got to be an outcry from the Democratic

Party and from good Republicans in this country that we're not going to permit a Supreme Court

to simply take away congressional and executive power like that.

We're not going to do it.

Okay, we're going to step away briefly, very briefly, coming up.

Moderate Republicans are now attacking the Freedom Caucus in a closed caucus, listen

to this.

Coming up.

For the tie that binds, because you're mine, I walk the line, because you're mine, I walk

the line.

I'm gathering our people wherever you're on, and I didn't admit that they're what

is.

I don't know if they'll have the guts to follow up on it.

But moderates in the House in closed-door sessions in the caucus have now started to attack

the Freedom Caucus personally.

Here's what happened.

They have these caucuses where the leadership will say what's on their mind.

They have a thing called an open mic, doors are locked, but everybody's sitting in there.

Here's this stuff, and they go squeal to the press, their favorite reporter and so forth.

It's last one, Representative Max Miller, Republican of Ohio, who's apparently a moderate.

He's a moderate on spending for an aide, in other words, he'd like to keep the government

going.

He'd like to fund Ukraine and Israel to fight against Russia and Israel to fight against

the sadism and genocidal attacks from, not just to my husband, Isabella Al-Qaeda and

the rest.

He denounced the Freedom Caucus in this closed open mic session.

Here's what he said, quote, remove them from committee assignments, cut off their fundraising.

This isn't just a light criticism.

These people are the enemy, and he recognized that.

The Bob Goods, the Matt Cases, the Marjorie Taylor Greens, the Paul Gossars, Mo Biggs, these

kinds of people.

These kinds of people are bad news, remove them from the committee assignments, cut off

their fundraising.

That's extraordinary.

When you say something like that and you pass each other in the hallway, that is a break

in the tribe, a break in the tribe, and I'll tell you something, it's very welcome and

it's long overdue.

But I have some advice for Mr. Miller, Mr. Max Miller, open your ears, Mr. Miller.

If you believe that, that means for some reason, good for you, you're not as afraid of Trump.

Move the spending bill, not just the clean resolution, the CR, but move the budget bill

through September 30 and Ukraine aid and Israel aid and the Senate deal, the Senate negotiated

agreement between the Democrats and Republicans, get it to the floor, get it right now, get

it to the floor, put it out as a privileged resolution.

Go to the Democrats, whichever you're comfortable with, if you're not close to Hakeem Jeffries,

you got to have somebody you're close to and say, I can deliver you 100 semi-advotes.

We're going to need 100 more from you, Democrats.

Let's get it done instead of sitting around an open mic, shooting your mouth off.

Go back to the lines, Jerry of Milwaukee, thanks for calling Jerry, what's in your mind

today?

Good afternoon.

I just had a quick comment you were speaking about Russia before.

I had some bumper stickers and stuff, anti-Trump stuff, and I stopped for gas once in the

Fox cities, a couple months back, and this young kid probably in his mid-30s comes up to

me, he starts telling me how sad it is that I believe in this, but what really alarmed

me is he, we started talking a little bit and holding our tempers, and I told him how

bad Russia was, and Trump is warming up to Putin, and he told me Russia is not our enemy.

He repeated this a couple of times.

This is a young guy, and I'm thinking to myself, how many people of your age group actually

believe that?

I said, did you read anything in your history, and so on and so forth, so I won't carry

on.

This really alarmed me if there's a huge young part of the population that actually

believes that we are in serious trouble.

Yeah, you know, Jerry, that's a fascinating call.

I really appreciate that call, because if you take a look at the hallmark of the Republican

Party, there had been bipartisan agreement that Russian Communism was an enemy of our

country and our values, and they hit us all the time, all the time.

Ever since we bailed them out in the Second World War, and obviously people like Truman

and Kennedy were very strong on it, but so were Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan.

What the heck is happening now?

What the heck is happening in the Republican Party?

I don't think the average Republican believes that, but you're encounter up in the Fox Valley

with that kid, that is really concerning.

I really appreciate that piece of information.

Curtis Madison, my friend.

Thanks for calling.

Curtis, what's in your mind today?

I was wondering, since he mentioned about the 30-year-old, as much as I didn't like Ronald

Reagan, and I really didn't like him, I say that we start doing a mass media market campaign

and start showing the clip of, tear down that wall, tear down that wall, because that's

what the Republican Party clung on to, like a blanket, remember that, we're tough on

the enemies.

We're all American.

We're the real Patriots of this country.

So let's start playing that footage over and over and over again across the country,

saying, are you a Patriot?

Excellent point.

Yeah, Mr. Gorbachev, tear down that wall, that's exactly what he said.

And the truth of the matter is that as a result, there was a glass-nosed Gorbachev opened

things up a little bit.

It wasn't entirely because of Reagan.

It was building up over 20 years.

They'd lost in Afghanistan and they were feeling a lot of domestic pressure.

And then you had Yeltsin in for 10 years.

That was the time that I went over with the Justice Department delegation to give talks

to their members of Duma and their lawyers.

And it's a terrific country.

I really enjoyed it.

Putin came in and he became Stalin again.

The guy becomes Stalin again, killing people, genocide, sadism.

The truth of the matter is that Russia, and there's not a lot of time to keep talking

about this, there's a lot of fine people over there, but Russia has never had a history

of private property or freedom.

People were surfed and there was communism now briefly.

The oligarchs have it, no one else does.

So I really like your comment.

I agree.

Just say, hey, at one time, take a look at Eisenhower and Reagan.

At one time they agree with Truman and Kennedy and Roosevelt.

And why has that changed?

Putin is a Stalin.

He's a murderer and a thief.

He's an enemy of the United States.

And we have to make that clear.

And apparently that isn't going to make clear to this generation.

To the end of the show, stand by for another great show, Devil's Avigate with Diamond

Crute.

Great call us today, guys.

Thanks a lot.

You really make the show mad for the direct.

Be back same time, same place tomorrow, saying off for today.
