Whole Lotta Calls (Hour 2)

Matt Flynn Direct · Wed Jan 17, 2024

Talking on all political subjects and taking on all callers, this is Matt Flynn Direct

with your host, Matt Flynn.

Welcome back to the second hour of Matt Flynn Direct.

How many statewide and live on civic media, our lines are open, 844-967-2789, okay we're

going to the lines and I'm going to get to everybody, please don't hang up, but if you

can limit your comments to under two minutes, I'd like to get through everybody.

We're going to start with Joe and Madison, thanks for calling Joe, what's in your mind

today?

I'll be brief as a can, Matt, first off I want to respond to the question of immigration

because it ties into what I was going to say and here's a solution for immigration, everybody

who's all angry about it, put the employers in jail who hire illegal immigrants, the roofing

companies, the car wash guy, the dairy farmers, shutdown Wisconsin dairy farmers, those laws

are on the books and they are not enforced.

And those people are facing five years of jail time which is what the upper limit of

the penalty can be, you can bet we're going to have some more discussion about immigration.

As it stands now, the speaker of the house, Mike Johnson shut it down, he refuses to have

any discussion about a compromised bar partisan look at immigration until there is a Republican

in office.

So he is refusing to govern and I would say that that refusing to govern is being noticed

by other people.

I draw your attention, I wanted to draw your attention to a political article, political

article.

It's called why the world is betting against American democracy, it's from 115 this year

2024 and there's a quote in it, this woman said she was amazed at talking to envoys from

around the world because they are looking at us and saying, my God, they are stopping

still on domestic matters and refusing to look at the international situation.

And here's the quote, Matt, she said the US is a fat buffalo trying to take a nap as

hungry wolves approach, I can hear those champagne bottles, corks popping in Moscow.

It's like Christmas every effing a word day.

That's where we are.

There are other people watching us from people like Mike Johnson refuses to govern on an

issue of immigration.

Other people are looking at it and they're making their plans.

So I would commend to people that article, I know time is tight, give it a look.

And yeah, there's a solution to immigration and those laws are on the books now, you hire

an illegal, you go to prison and let's see what happens because we are used to the cheap

labor that that undocumented people supply.

It's a big question.

Let's all sit down to solve it rather than standing in the muck and pretending that it

doesn't exist.

Thanks a lot, Matt.

Yeah.

Standing quality is always, Joe, thanks a lot.

Bob and Madison, my friend, you're next in line.

What's in your mind today, Bob?

Yeah, yeah.

I think in Michelle Obama, Michelle Obama is a constant story on the right wing.

They are convinced, well, sometimes they say that she's really a man and she's a gay.

Yeah, okay.

What's the point, Bob?

What's the point?

The point is they make up whole stories and they have a whole ecosystem about Michelle

Obama is going to be the Democratic nominee this summer.

Well, she's not, she's not going to be the, yeah, she's not going to be the Democratic

nominee.

Joe Biden is going to be the Democratic nominee.

Thanks for calling.

I appreciate it.

Next up in line, Dave, Madison, my friend, thanks for calling Dave, what's in your mind

today?

The first I disagree with the previous caller about putting people in prison, we're so

acclimated trying to address every problem by incarcerating each other.

She was being sarcastic, that was satire, that was satire.

She doesn't think they should be put in prison.

Go ahead, Dave.

I'm sorry.

Okay.

My mistake.

Sorry about that.

And yeah, the immortal strategy of the right wing populist is you pick a minority group

and you demonize them.

That's what the right wing radical populist did between World War One and World War Two.

And that's what's happening now, except instead of the Jews that are being demonized, it's

the immigrants, you know, you have Georgia Maloney in Italy who won the five ministership

that way by being in immigration.

You have Victor Orban, of course, same thing.

He's been in power for a long time by running against immigration, even though they

don't really have any immigrant and hungry.

Maureen, the pan, of course, who went to, who made it to the, every time in a row, I

mean, every, every single election, he's making it to play, yeah, to the, to the run-off,

you have Kurt Wilder for just one last month or so, I think it was in the Netherlands.

Right.

So you're making a good point.

Your point is that people are demonizing people as others and that's wrong.

There's no question about it.

I always enjoy your calls, Dave.

Thanks very much.

Gary of Sussex, my friend, thanks for calling.

Gary, what's in your mind?

Well, I've been listening for the last half hours, so, and the Democrats have been calling

your show have, they're kind of right because, and I agree with what they're saying, weren't

as Republicans are saying that the border is open, okay?

And the Democrats are saying, no, it's really close.

But it's working as far as Republicans narrative because as we stay it's open, it's really

pissing off a lot of the Republicans and the independence.

Now, who is going to elect the next president of the United States?

Is it the Democrats that have 33% their support for Biden or is it at 39% for, for

Trump or is it maybe the 25% or so, uh, independence?

Now the independence are believing the truth that the border is open.

And with, with us, keep saying this thing, keep pushing it open, open, open.

People are getting matter and matter and matter.

And that's why Donald Trump's going to win and, and yes, and I can understand why you

guys are scared.

Yeah.

Okay.

Gary, I don't want to cut you off.

I always appreciate your call on your principal conservative, just so I do not think Donald

Trump's going to win.

Joe Biden's going to win.

But I know what you're saying.

It's a contentious issue.

I appreciate your call.

Let's go, Paul, my friend.

You're next.

What's in your mind?

They, Paul.

Hey, thanks for taking my calls.

Hard to follow.

Gary.

Uh, boy.

Um, I just wanted to commend, Joe, what, uh, what a great call that was, um, basically

Trump is garbage.

And there's no other way to put it.

I've said this before I cannot think of a law he hasn't broke.

If you want to vote for a law, this person, go for it because in, go ahead, run Trump.

He's not going to get real elected.

It's not going to happen.

So go for it, Gary.

And it's, it's a sad day when Republicans want to support somebody like Trump.

You know, if, if you want to go for Mickey Haley or something, you know, that maybe understand

a little bit.

Trump give me a break.

Anyway, Joe, what a, what a great call and keep calling in because you're a magnificent

lady.

Now, thanks for taking my call to the, uh, man.

All right.

Thanks a lot, Paul.

I really appreciate your calls.

There's always Gene of Eau Claire, my friend.

Thanks for calling.

Gene, what's in your mind today?

Hi.

I was going to take the day off today, but you know what?

I just couldn't help myself.

I've been here in Gary.

You know, Gary sounds like a really nice guy, but if guy was head up as petite and you

know what?

I got to tell you this, Gary, because you know, you sound like a really sweet man.

But I hope you don't, you know, I hope you don't have young women in your family, you

know, because this guy is bad and he was in, in young daughters or granddaughters or anything

to be around this kind of guy and what's going on in that country right now.

In addition to that, I will not ever vote for a criminal.

I will not vote for a rapist.

I will not vote for us.

The fraudulent guy that lies about his taxes, remember he wouldn't even let us look at

his taxes.

Oh, they're doing, they're looking at my taxes and oh, yeah, I can't let them lose.

Oh, my gosh.

Now we see the lion snake in the grass.

You love that little snake story.

Every time I see that guy, I get nauseated and sick to my stomach because this man shouldn't

even, he should be in prison.

He shouldn't be out in the yard walking around in the prison yard.

This guy has never been held accountable and he thinks that he shouldn't be prosecuted

for anything and he believes everything he does is good and if anybody tries to hold

him accountable, all of them picking on me, they're picking on me, that guy has never been

held accountable.

And God darn it, it's about time we do it and I hope they do because we're in really

big trouble and Christians wake up because this guy is not Christian and remember, we're

not supposed to idolize false gods, come on guys, wake up, this is gross, I can't believe

it.

I'm getting 12 for this stuff, Matt.

Bye.

You have a good day.

Well, Gene, I'm glad you didn't take today off.

I'm glad you didn't take today off, that's all I am saying.

Oh my God.

What a great set of calls, one way or the other, but some very, very outstanding calls.

Yeah, I want to talk very briefly about, and some of it's going to spill over about what's

happening on the continuing resolution, what's happening on the continuing resolution,

and what's happening is that Mike Johnson has come up with a deal, as you know, to extend

it to March one and March eight instead of January 19th, February 2nd.

But the problem is the hardcore conservatives are trying to bust it and for a nod sneaky

way, because if we do not put it in, there is a default provision in the legislation passed

this spring that would provide for 1% cut across the board for all funds going to the end

of the fiscal year, September 30th.

The problem with that is that would include defense and a lot of other things, and there's

no way the moderates in his conference won't go with it.

They know they're going to lose the next election if they went with something like that.

The moderates won't do it.

They said no.

So where do we go from here?

Right now, as we speak, as we speak, Joe Biden is convened a meeting in the White House

among the leadership of the Congress.

That means Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer.

It means Hakim Jeffries and Mike Johnson, and then the chairman of the relevant committees

foreign affairs budget, that kind of thing.

And what's going on today is he's saying, look, we've got to fund Ukraine, we've got to

fund Israel, we've got to fund Taiwan and the border.

To curry favor with the right wing, what Mike Johnson has said is we're not going to do anything

without a border agreement and what the Senate came up with is to moderate.

That's what he said.

That's what he said.

So we're going to see, quite frankly, how Joe does with this.

He's a master.

He's a master at Senate congressional house negotiations.

But if we don't get money to Ukraine fairly soon, the Russians, the sadistic genocidal

Putin and his gang are going to take over Ukraine and menace Poland and the Baltic states.

And the Republican Party is standing back and they're willing to accept that.

They're willing to accept that.

We're going to talk about it a little more.

I'll tell you what, coming up.

The New Hampshire primary, some interesting aspects of that coming up.

Welcome back to Matt Fender, Rick.

Our lines are open.

844-967-2789.

I want to say a few more things about the controversy right now and the continuing

resolution.

And I think Joe of Madison put it very, very well when she said that the foreign

invoices were saying we're in a big fat buffalo sitting there with all the wolves, circle

and they're breaking out of the champagne glasses in Moscow, Russian.

That's because the Republican Party, because the Republican Party.

Well, what's going to happen is when that continuing resolution comes up, here's the

procedure.

There's something like 20, 30, maybe, people in the Republican caucus that will try to

torpedo it.

They want to shut the government down.

They like Putin, apparently.

Some of them really do like Putin.

Some of them went over and hung out with his boys.

Ron Johnson, our senator, July 4, 2018, spent it in Moscow, Russia.

Spent it in Moscow, Russia.

But let's go on.

How is Johnson going to do this?

Where the way he's going to do it is, remember, there's a thing called a rule vote.

And you have 20 or 30 Republicans, they can stop the rule vote.

In fact, if you had three Republicans, they could stop it, because Steve Scalise is out

for cancer treatment.

And there's another Republican down in Tennessee, or Kentucky, who isn't a car accident.

And he's out.

He's fortunately survived, but he's out.

So what are you going to do?

He's going to do it by basically a special rule override resolution that requires two thirds.

And he has about 213 Democrats, presumably, he'll need 70 Republicans.

I'm going to get back to this.

And then, by the way, there are people on the right, Chip Roy and others have said that

they will call the chair vacant if he doesn't enough enough.

You know, right now, every time the chair is called vacant, all the Democrats vote for

Hakim Jeffries.

They have got to meet privately with Johnson, saying, if you're willing to put through

a budget, through September 30th, that comports with what McCarthy and Biden agreed on.

And if you will agree that there's no shenanigans when the vote certified next in January, it's

coming January, you're not going to shut down the Capitol.

You're not going to question it and all that.

And if we're satisfied that you're telling the truth, we will give you enough votes to

stay as chair.

There's got to be at this point, you can't shut down the United States.

The Republican Party is willing not to pay, suspend the pay, give vouchers to our soldiers

and sailors in the Middle East.

Two Navy SEALs were killed, boarding a boat that was smuggling Iranian missiles into

Yemen.

I have an idea.

Why don't we not use Navy SEALs to risk their lives?

Why don't we just blast every boat out of the water where we have a reasonable belief,

you know, based on evidence that they're carrying, carrying weapons.

Blast them right out of the water every day on one of them.

The Republican Party doesn't want to pay our sailors, doesn't want to pay our soldiers.

We'll need to quote, risk that end quote, and the quote, optics end quote of that to get

back in power and steal more money.

It's about time we stand up to that.

It's about time members of our congressional delegation, both in the Senate and the House,

the Buttercups and the Democratic side getting rid of unanimous consent, getting rid, for

instance, this thing may not pass in the Senate because Tuberville and Rand Paul may say

it doesn't have unanimous consent, enough's enough, enough's enough.

If that happens, no senator deserves to be reelected.

Go under the lines, Kevin and McQuinnigo, thanks for calling, Kevin, what's in your mind

today?

Well, I love your show, I just see you on two hours.

Thank you.

The reason I'm calling is back to the border situation.

I think Biden was going in the right direction when he put that law into effect, something

like if you get caught going across illegally, you can't enter for five years.

I think that was a great law in a step in the right direction, but I think if they went

with something in the way of distributing these immigrants in the way of population to

every single state based on your population, so it's equal all around the country, getting

them through there quicker and doing something about this.

I really don't care what he does, but he's got to do something.

I think the Republicans are banking on the fact that he's not going to do anything and

they're going to use that as ammunition, you know, come November.

I think that if we go in that direction, it's going to do something, you know, and they're

just trying to block it.

They're doing everything they can to not let anything like this go through.

Excellent point.

Excellent call, Kevin.

As always, thank you and encourage you to call more frequently.

Yeah, let me give you some statistics backing up with Kevin just said, remember, they did

some exit and entrance polls in the Iowa caucus.

So this, the Republican caucus.

So this would be Republicans in Iowa and a small set of them, but in the for what it's

worth the apartment, the two highest issues on everybody's mind that the issues that drove

them the most were immigration and the economy and the economy, and we've talked about this

who are blue in the face, but that's just a construct that they throw out for people

who don't like Biden.

If they rationally looked at this thing at all, this economy is one of the strongest

economies we've had in the post war era and by post war era, I'm talking about the

second world war, the lowest unemployment, the most jobs created, 98% of the jobs created

between now and 1989, the fall of the Berlin Wall, 98% were created under Democratic presidents,

2% were created under Republican presidents.

Right now, wage increases, exceed inflation, inflation is down to about 3%, we'd like

to be at a two and a half percent, best performance of anybody in the world, Joe Biden's administration,

best performance, and how about the stock market?

Nowadays, I mean, everybody has some kind of stocks for some kind of securities in their

401k, their pension fund, and when I say everybody, obviously not every everybody, but a lot

of people, and it's going gangbusters, the economy's fine, there's been a lot of lying

about it, but immigration, based on as Kevin just put, and the other call is put in some

Republican, some Democrats, that has become an issue.

And I agree with Kevin that that is something that has to be addressed, Joe Biden's doing

his best to address it.

Here's a guy who's trying to address the Middle East, Gaza, Israel, Ukraine, the Red

Sea, Yemen, Iran, China, Russia, Ukraine, and all he gets is pot shots from the Republican

Party trying to weaken them, shots in the back, which help our enemies, they help our

enemies.

That is what is happening.

All right, let me talk briefly about the New Hampshire primary, Mickey Haley said she

wouldn't debate, unless Donald Trump debated, he's not debating.

So to Sanders, the only guy, if I were to Sanders, I mean, these people have to show a little

moxie.

I'd have an empty chair, and if the networks didn't cover it just to it in the hall somewhere,

put a doll of Trump as a ventriloquist dummy, and the ventriloquist is Putin, and then

a doll of Haley, which is a Barbie doll, one foot tall or something, and just try to ridicule

people who won't debate.

Fortunately, he's not thinking of that because I don't want him in his president either, he's

no good.

So there's no debate right now.

The polls show Trump is something like 50% Haley in the mid-30s.

The standards at 5% these people are pathetic.

So Trump will come out of it with some kind of victory.

I don't see to Sanders or Haley going anywhere, but stand by, it's coming up this Tuesday,

absolutely coming up this Tuesday, and coming up.

A lot of news, a lot of weather, and let me tell you something about how we talk about

Crooked Donald Trump.

That's got to be said as plainly as I'm about to say it, coming up after the news and

weather.

Welcome back to Matt Flynn Director, lines are open, 844-967-2789.

Before we get into the next topic, I want to recommend an article, it's a very good article.

It's in the Shepard Express.

The Shepard Express is an alternative newspaper in the Milwaukee area, but it has a circulation

beyond Milwaukee, and you can get it online, and then it comes out with a print edition,

I think it's every three months, an outstanding paper, and they have, as yesterday's edition,

January 16, I think it was, they have an article by Professor William Hollahan, he's the

murderous chairman of the economics department, UWM, entitled How Jerry Mandarin Distorts

the Public Good, and Public Good, you can take it in two ways, but a public good is a

term of art in economics as well, and it's very, very succinct, and it shows how Jerry

Mandarin, among other things, distort economically, distorts the most advantageous economic circumstances

for the state.

It's worth reading, so that when you're talking to people, and frankly, the Shepard Express

is worth reading, and you get some very counterintuitive articles that are quite good.

And frankly, what's happened now is, there's just word that a attorney Elias, who's one

of the best election lawyers in the country on the Democratic side, has approached the

Wisconsin Supreme Court.

I don't know if it's a motion, I don't know if it's a complaint, haven't read the details,

but that they reconsider the congressional lines in this state now that they've issued

a decision on the assembly and the Senate lines, because the same issue is apply, and it'd

be relatively easy to extend it to the congressional district.

So stay tuned on that, but you should take a look at this article, how Jerry Mandarin

distorts the public good by Professor Hollahan in the Shepard Express and get it online.

Okay, I want to say something before we get to our next topics, and this is something

bugged me for a long time.

People will occasionally say to me, well, Matt, the Democrats have to punch back harder,

you know, the Republicans do things like we, you know, when we have the majority, we don't

go unless you pass Medicare for all voting rights and something else, we're going to shut

the government down.

We don't do it.

They get in and they shut it down continuously, and then bringsmanship last minute, they

put through a continuing resolution, drives up our borrowing costs and Moscow and in the

Middle East, enemies of us and enemies of Israel, start to lick their traps.

The Republican Party has betrayed the country.

Well, I have an idea and think about this.

If you take a look at how Donald Trump campaigns, everything is putting an adjective and an

insult, either on the physical appearance, the morals, the integrity of his opponent.

He's crooked Donald Trump, but he talks about crooked Joe Biden, he uses it all the

time.

Well, when people in general, and I know there was a poll at the Iowa Republican caucus

that showed that something like two thirds of Republicans think that the election was

rigged in 2020, it's because relentlessly the way it's described by the Republican Party

is in terms of personal insult directly, like crooked Joe Biden did this and the crooked

election and everything else.

Are people tend to sit back and say they're assaulting democracy or he will repeat his

behavior?

Behavior is a word that people associate with some high school kid in a prom who gets

fresh with his date back in the 1950s or something.

A Hitler, it wasn't about behavior, it was about destruction of democracy in the case

of Hitler, it was about genocide, that's not behavior, that's two week of work.

Nobody on our side uses words like crooked Donald Trump, you know, lying Donald Trump.

Nobody says this kind of stuff and I'll give you a classic example when John Kerry ran

against George W. Bush in 2004, John Kerry had gotten the silver star for bravery and combat

in Vietnam.

He was a skipper of a swift boat, which is the equivalent of a PT boat, which is what

John Kennedy was the skipper of back in the Second World War.

It's a small boat that can dart in and out quickly, go here and there, go in and pick

up wounded people, go in and shoot a couple of bad guys and come out and all that.

Not the purple heart, he may have gotten it twice.

You get the purple heart if you're wounded, if you're wounded, you don't just get the purple

heart.

He got the purple heart and the silver star.

George W. Bush to avoid going to Vietnam during the Air National Guard in Texas.

Then he stopped going to meetings and he didn't show up for his physical.

If you're a pilot and don't show up for your physical, you're grounded, you can't fly.

He wouldn't go to the drills where he's supposed to go.

He just walked away from it.

In that election, a lot of people thought that John Kerry had faked the silver star, somehow

that he hadn't gotten it, that he hadn't even gotten wounded.

Some thought he hadn't even gotten Vietnam.

They thought that George W. Bush was a strong military man.

That is because John Kerry, I think, had a fairly unaggressive campaign manager who said,

well, no one will believe him, so let's ignore it.

No, what he could have done and should have done, and that relates to what now is say this.

George W. Bush deserted our armed forces.

He's a deserter.

He didn't show up and take his physical because he was afraid to fly.

He is lying George Bush.

He wasn't in Vietnam.

I was.

And on my swift boat, here's my crew who testified to that.

What happened was the more George W. Bush said this kind of stuff, and he said it about

John McCain in the primary in year 2000.

He said basically two things.

He said John McCain's wife is a drug addict who stole narcotics.

The backstory in that is that she did have a problem.

It wasn't like cocaine or anything, but it was pain inhibitors, and she did take some

without prescriptions, but he spread that all around South Carolina, which turned his

campaign again.

He also said John McCain and his wife have a black child.

The answer was they adopted a little girl from Bangladesh, but that went all over South

Carolina and pushed one South Carolina.

That's what they do wake up.

So if John Kerry has simply said, I was in Vietnam.

You weren't because you were hiding and you were afraid to fly and show up your deserter.

You're lying George Bush and just keep saying it or have his campaign manager say it.

They didn't do it.

Some of the same stuff is going on now.

Donald Trump relentlessly says so and so is deranged, crooked Joe Biden, the Biden crime

family.

There is a crime family.

It's called the Trump crime family, two billion from Saudi Arabia, bribed, bribed, sucked

up to Kim Jong Un after Kim Jong Un had tortured out of Wormbeer, a university Virginia student

for a year, then sent his body back to his parents, trump defended him.

He got precipitated because Trump shot his mouth off and called him little rocket man.

Kim Jong Un is five foot two and very heavy, sensitive about his looks.

Trump is servile.

He is a homoerotic fascination with Putin.

Where are the Democrats saying, give us the tapes to the Moscow hotel room.

Were you in all fours?

Who is on you?

What was going on?

Why are you afraid of Putin?

Look at Donald Trump.

Why did you stand up for Saudi Arabia and chain saw Charlie, the crown prince, 2018 when

they went and murdered our sailors in Florida, they were being trained and they pulled out

guns and murdered them and you stuck up for chain saw Charlie.

You're a fraud, you're a thief, you're a thief, Eugene Carroll, you're a perv.

You said in excess Hollywood, you grab women between the legs, even strangers, you're

an animal.

That has got to be said.

There are consequences to not doing that kind of thing.

And if you think that hasn't been done in the past, you've got to study Franklin Roosevelt

and Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy and even Bill Clinton, you've got to study that.

They knew how to do it.

And their ways of doing it, it doesn't mean that Joe Biden has to say Trump's a liar.

What happens is this campaign manager, surrogates and some members of the cabinet say it relentlessly,

continuously, continuously.

And then he'll be challenged at a press conference that go President Biden, so and so said

that Donald Trump's a liar, do you agree with that?

The classic way of handling that is you say, well, Mr. Trump must really value the truth

because he uses it so sparingly.

And you can chuckle.

You can chuckle or you can say, yeah, I do agree with it.

But right now in the public discourse, when you have one side saying the other side's

crooked, it's a crime family, they're deranged, the fixes in, all of this stuff.

In the vernacular, just like I said it.

And the other one saying, well, we have to change Trump's behavior.

He's opposed to democracy.

He would be a danger.

People, if there are two guys fighting, big guys fighting on the playground, the little

guys are around and one is in the face of the other, malding off at him and the other

one doesn't do anything, they're more afraid of the, the, the malder, the big guy.

That's what's happening.

It's happened before in our history and Democrats have known how to handle it.

Franklin Roosevelt knew how to handle Huey Long.

John F. Kennedy knew how to handle Nixon and the rest.

Nixon's one of the crookedest presidents we've ever had.

New had to handle it.

Harry Truman knew how to handle it.

Said he was to do nothing Congress.

They had a republic.

Do nothing Congress.

They're worthless.

Joe Bill Clinton knew how to handle it.

Even against Bob Dole, who we sort of liked, I kind of like Bob Dole myself, even though

I didn't like his policies.

So you've got to listen to this.

You cannot continue to have one side continuously insult the other because I'm telling you

in in 2004, I knew people who felt that that Kerry had not gone to Vietnam didn't get

the silver star, didn't get the purple heart.

Some of them thought that Bush had because only one person maldoth and that's got to change.

I said before something about the EPA, it's not really the APS, the environmental agency

in Texas.

Right now today is oral argument in that case to overrun over the fisheries case to overturn

Chevron to take away powers of administrative agencies and experts and leave it to the

states and the Republicans, the tarantulas, look like they're going that way.

There was a case down in Texas where a judge finally did the right thing, the Texas Commission

on Environmental Quality, which is their EPA, interpreted their clean air laws to say you

couldn't bring a claim unless you lived within a mile of where the pollution was occurring.

And shrimpers in the Gulf out there were saying this oil thing was going to dump, pesticides

into the ocean and killed the shrimp.

They say, well, you technically don't live within a mile, the hell with you, hell with you.

Well, you know, Indians, I think the Chippewa in this state had a great stain.

It said, we must speak for the water because the water cannot speak for itself.

So the shrimpers went to court and the judge said, what are you crazy?

There's nothing in the law that says they have to be only a mile away or less than a mile

to have standing.

Their shrimp industry is going to be destroyed because you're going to be pouring this stuff

into the Gulf.

Now that's what happens and it requires corrective action.

And that was the state judge and she could very well lose her and she's a great judge

and she could very well lose her judge ship by standing up to these guys because you know

how Greg Abbott is down there.

You know how he is.

And so stand by the Chevron argument is today, the Chevron is the case from the 80s.

This is the fisheries case.

And the tarantulas are set to say these administrative agencies with all their PhDs and all their

knowledge can't do a damn thing unless the Senate, what, Tuberville with unanimous consent

and Mike Johnson agree to every regulation when, when do they have time?

They have plenty of time to screw around, take donations and then shut the government down.

That's what they do.

Stand by.

It's very, very important.

Stand up.

I ran just fired a missiles into Pakistan, believe it or not.

And Pakistan is withdrawn its ambassador and barred Iran's ambassador.

What's going on in the Middle East coming up?

Welcome back to Matt Flynn director lines were open eight four four nine six seven two

seven eight nine well Iran has just launched a missile strike into Pakistan.

That's right.

Pakistan Pakistan with truest ambassador and kicked out Iran's ambassador.

And you might say, Hey aren't these both bad guys?

I mean aren't isn't this a weird thing?

Every show that I do here I start out by saying you got to know history.

So let's talk about this a little bit and it shows a lot of things.

Why we have to be very careful about who we let in from the Middle East other than Israel

or ally.

The reason is this Iran is a Shiite country.

Pakistan is a Sunni country.

The Sunnis in the Shiites split about 1300 years ago over what seems to me a minor dispute

at the time when the prophet passed away was he going to be succeeded by a blood relative

or by a trusted experience season lieutenant.

People split on that and as a result you had Sunnis and Shiites the Shia and for 1300

years they've gone after each other Iran is a Shiite country.

Some of Iraq is there's some few Shiites in Afghanistan and Pakistan they're attacked

all the time 10% of the world's Muslims are Shiites 90% are Sunnis.

There are radicals in Pakistan and in Afghanistan and if you think the Taliban is radical there

are people more radical than the Taliban believe it or not in Pakistan and in Afghanistan.

And so there is a group called the Jais al-Aid really right wing Sunni group in Pakistan.

And there's a group that says that they belong to Balookistan which you probably have

not heard about before they're Balooks.

What does that mean?

Well there's a 559 mile border 555 mile border between Iran and Pakistan.

It's very loose.

Balooks are simply people who are Sunnis but they're in Iran.

Iran is a Shiite state and they continuously attack Iran from within.

Remember about 11 people were killed in a police station a week or two ago?

Iran blamed Israel in the United States it was people from Balookistan.

And there is no Balookistan what it is is just people who are Sunnis who live in that

part of Iran.

It's important to know the pathologies that are going on around the world.

Saudi Arabia every once in a while just executes Shiite clergy in Saudi Arabia for no

apparent reason.

They may say they're traitors or whatever but you are taking your life in your hands if

in a Sunni country especially a more radical one like Pakistan or Afghanistan and obviously

Saudi Arabia if you're Shiite frankly or if you're Christian or if you're Jewish.

This has got to be understood when we decide we're going to start admitting people through

immigration in this country had of what multiculturalism tried to persuade them to mend their ways.

Well you're not going to persuade anybody to mend their ways and multiculturalism in my

opinion is good in music and food.

Love foods from all over the world love music.

I don't love constitutions from all over the world.

I only love our constitution.

I don't like political systems all over the world.

I like our political system and I want to keep our political system.

So this is what's happening.

Iran has more problems than you think and they're funding and they're providing weapons

to the hoodies in Yemen.

I was very, very glad to see that Joe Biden just designated the hoodies a terrorist group

a terror organization.

They'd been designated terrorists Biden lifted that designation when he became president

to try to work with them.

You can't work with them.

And he put it back on.

Go on the lines.

Nick Comatt is my friend.

Thanks for calling Nick.

What's in your mind today?

I was just calling because we're talking about Pakistan and everything and yes, there

are dangers there, but what I always like to remind people is that the people are different

because I'm a foreign Marine and I work with the Pakistani Lieutenant Colonel.

He was the greatest guy.

We sell it.

We still keep in touch and it's important to remind that the government and the people

are two different things.

That makes sense?

Yeah, I think.

Go ahead.

Go ahead.

Go ahead.

Go ahead.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

And like, you know, we were talking about cultural differences, I was with him and you

know, they have a range of energy, sir, let me just say I met his wife, he met, he got

the range of energy.

You know, she's like a president, but yeah, it's the people and the government are two

different things.

That's what I'm saying.

Thanks for that call.

That's a very, very good call.

It's a very, very good call.

I couldn't agree more.

I have a, my doctor that I go to is from Pakistan.

He's one of the finest people I've ever met and he's a good personal friend and he and

his wife have dinner with us occasionally and they had an arranged marriage.

They're very happy.

I couldn't agree more, but I will say that in Pakistan, if you are a Christian and you're

accused of blasphemy, you're subject to the death penalty and then a mob gets around

shouting kill them.

So there are wonderful people.

There's no question about it, but we have to understand and it's not Pakistan in particular.

It's Afghanistan.

It's the whole Kitten Kaboodle over there that people are very, very casual about thinking,

well, this okay, they'll come here and they'll be fine.

Well, yeah, many of them are your friend who's in the military and my friend, the doctor

are, but it would be absolutely naive not to understand what's going on over there.

And the conflicts within those countries and the hatred between frankly, Saudi Arabian

Iran, Pakistan and Iran, which we can use to our benefit, used to our benefit.

I know Joe Biden and the State Department are trying to exploit that as much as they can.

Everybody over there is afraid of Iran, rightly so.

And I think it may be about time that our coalition people in the other Arab States stand

up.

Coming to the end of the show, great callers as always, Matt Flynn direct with back same

time, same place tomorrow.

Stand by for another great show, Devils Navigate with Dom and Croup.

And I am signing off for today.
