While Jim and his wife Dona love Phil, Maino is not a fan. He feels like his music is "too soft". Do you have thoughts on that? One of the stories Rich shares is that he chose The Marines because he didn't want to be on a boat. Then he found out that the Marines are on boats. He also shares the story of walking and feeling like someone tugged on his uniform. By the time he looked back to see what it was, he was already flying in the air. He walked into a booby trap. Rich says he still thinks and has nightmares about his time in Vietnam, including the time another soldier died in his arms.
