It's our weekly visit with the Green Bay Press-Times, and Janelle Fisher from the paper brings Lauren Knisbeck from New Leaf Foods in with her. New Leaf Food's goal is to support the health and well-being of the people of Greater Green Bay by promoting healthy food access and education. They are promoting a new program called Bountiful Branches, which allows folks to buy a wide range of fruit-bearing, nut-bearing, and other edible trees and bushes for their gardens. Sounds like a great idea and program! Then Shannon Cohen with the New Community Shelter in Green Bay to promote their Honkey Tonk Hoedown event on April 18th. The event includes food, prizes and great music featuring the band Grand Union. You can check out the shelter's website for all of the details.
