We continue our special program honoring the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War (March 29th). Gail and Kim Nohr with Veterans 1st of Northeast Wisconsin join Jim and John to give us an update on the tiny home village they're trying to build to help housing insecure veterans have a stable start toward owning or renting their own housing. They share the good news that, hopefully, after several hurdles, they're getting closer to breaking ground on this project. We offer our respect and thanks to Kim and Gail for their hard work on this very important project. Then, Joe Aulik from the Brown County Veterans Services office joins the show to encourage Veterans to do a yearly check-in with the local offices to see what services and offerings are available. From health care to education funds and more, Joe says it's important to do a yearly check-in because programs continue to change and, in some cases, expand.
