The first half hour ends with with this bit of information: On this date in 1881 - Edward Berner, druggist in Two Rivers, WI, poured chocolate syrup on ice cream in a dish. To this time chocolate syrup had only been used for making ice-cream sodas. Then Civic Media Meteorologist Brittney Merlot to not only talks about the wet weather we've had, but also talks about the mosquitos everyone endured watching fireworks on the 4th.
