Maino and the Mayor

We start the hour off with NBC 26 Meteorologist Lauren Larsn as part of our Neighborhood Focus partnership with the station. We learn about her background and how her interest in weather began. She tells the guys about being fearful of Thunderstorm Watches when she was younger, and how it sparked her interest in the science. We also learn that she shows up at the station around 2:30am in order to prepare for her forecasts and wraps up her day around 11. Long day, but she say she enjoys doing the morning show, and enjoys Northeast Wisconsin. (John and Jim also sign her up to be "on-call" to answer various weather questions if they ever have questions). Then we're joined by Max Olson. A young man (15) who is doing wonderful things in his community by getting involved in local politics. Max currently serves as a youth representative on the Milton Parks and Recreation Commission, and has recently led an initiative to expand youth involvement in Rock County’s government. If you want to get motivated, listen to Max speak!
