Maino and the Mayor

Jill Bassett from Plae Bistro visits us in our Small Business Spotlight. Plae opened in 2007 so it's been around for awhile. But Jill has great advice for people just getting started. After working for various restaurants, helping them to succeed, and she finally felt like it was time to do her own thing. She felt that, at the time, Green Bay had plenty of sports bars and diners, but not many "date night" restaurants. The community is lucky she decided to go for it. She explains that the name means "Place To Laugh And Eat". "You are not just a business owner, you become so much more. Counselor, loan officer, probation officer...all of it".
