Guests: Kristin Alfheim
Yesterday was the annual Al Smith Catholic charity dinner, an event notorious for an 'anything goes' comedy lineup. Well, some folks brought genuine humor. Kamala Harris sent in an entertaining video that struck balance between reaching out to Catholic voters and light jabs at Trump. Trump himself brought shame to himself and the event through transphobic and anti-woman rhetoric. More shameful still, the guest list for the event included Milwaukee's former Archbishop Tim Dolan.
Kristin Alfheim, candidate for Wisconsin's 18th Senate District seat, joins Maggie for the second half hour. Kristin focuses on the issues that matter most to Wisconsin voters. The issues that attract and retain people to her community. She is committed to advocating strongly for the people of the Fox Valley. Kristin sees the reliance on talking points that divide us as a huge problem. She urges us to dig deeper into the problems facing America. More important still, we need to move beyond the "us vs. them" approach. We all need education. We all need agriculture. We all need clean air and water. It's for all of us. We can work towards solutions together, to keep this great state moving forward!
