When legislators attempt to pass bills that address issues that frankly don't exist, they're practicing performative politics. When those performative politics center on rights relating to voting and bodily autonomy, real harm befalls real people. Over non-existent issues. Wisconsin's rumpled Congressman, Glenn Grothman, claims we need more legislation to prevent non-citizens from voting. Newsflash- we already have several pieces of legislation doing exactly that. Worse, Glenn can't even come up with any evidence that non-citizens ARE voting!

For the second half hour, Maggie talks with Colin Seeberger, senior advisor for the Center for American Progress. Colin joins Maggie to discuss the horrifying fallout from abortion bans. People have died from preventable complications related to pregnancy. A South Carolina woman languished in jail for over 20 days without bond after she suffered a miscarriage.
