You know what I'm saying?
You see how humble we were?
We didn't call Aaron.
How many times I threatened to call him on air?
I didn't do it.
I didn't do it.
I know I called my homeboy from LA up.
I was like, keep.
Yeah, you see what's going on?
Because he said, y'all ain't going to win.
No way.
I was like, ah, what happened to that?
I'm going to tell you this, though.
This is is one person I really wish.
That was here to see this.
Mm hmm.
Bob Uker.
I wish Bob was here to see this, man.
If you know anything about Bob Uker, he was like Mr. Milwaukee baseball, man.
So I wish he was here to see it.
He passed away in January of 2025.
So, uh, yeah, man, this one is for the Uker, man.
A lot of folks did it for the town.
And I know what a lot of people, what he meant to a lot of people and to Milwaukee baseball.
So this is an amazing time in the city.
That's one person I wish I'd have learned to see, you know, Bob on Water Street hitting that, you know what I'm saying?
Hitting
the
Milwaukee dance.
That would have been crazy.
That would have been beautiful to see, man.
I'm proud of the town, man.
I'm super proud of the city.
I'm going to tell you what I do like to see, though.
Everybody that was like, oh, I'm sick of Milwaukee, Milwaukee this, Milwaukee that.
Now everybody love to be from here.
But that's every time we do something good, like the music, you should hear people, yeah, because I'm from Milwaukee.
That's where that song from.

from Milwaukee.
Man, let's go on and talk to cousin
Blake
real quick, man.
Cousin Blake, how you feeling champ?
Champ,
champ, champ.
What's that?
Yeah, we can say that now.
Like the Bucks, the Packers, and the Brewers.
We can say that now.
But there were National League champs and American League champs.
Now we're World Champs.
Amen.
Stopping that.
Let's do that poll.
Let's see how many teams got National League championships, World Championships, and American League championships.
That's to give a trade and it's over.
But on love, on love, midi, man, didn't watch one game because they millionaires.
They know if they're the champs or not.
Just like when Yonatan took theirs.
I'm going to get my GIO in it.
It's capping out this morning.
It was all love and Bob was there.
This is what I texted this morning to my brother in Georgia.
I texted him.
I'm like, dude, they did it for the city.
They did it for the state.
They did it for themselves.
And then I watched the news this morning and the coach did the same thing.
He said, the same thing, man.
He said, I helped y'all with the, he said, I got a text from Bob.
He said, I helped y'all with the Padres.
I messed with the Dodgers.
He said, y'all, y'all are on with this.
Y'all did this for y'all.
I appreciate y'all.
I'm proud of y'all, man.
That time mercy comes to the energy.
Yeah, for sure.
For sure.
What's up?
So now, like the next thing they bragging like, we got ours.
Yeah, for sure.

It's
a whole lot different swag around the town, man.
And I got the new bed seat.
I got the new bed seat.
I got the new bed seat.
We got the hospital yesterday.
Oh, OK, OK.
And then I showed him my hat with the A2 patch on it, and he got me

Now it's time to pass
it
Now it's time to tap in to What's Poppin' with Maybe Shannon.
What's Poppin' with
Maybe Shannon.
Live on a lunch break with Ray Nitty and Maybe Shannon.
Live on a lunch break with Ray Nitty and Maybe Shannon.
Hey Shannon, can you tell us what's poppin'?
Poppin' Poppin' Poppin' Poppin' Poppin' Poppin' Alright y'all.
Cousins, it is time for what's popping with Shannon.
And like I promised, we gonna talk about some people living out their years cruising.
Cruising on a ship, all right?
So would you sell your house, pack up your life, and decide that you gonna spend the next chapter traveling around on a cruise ship?
Well...
Some people decided that's what they were gonna do.
All right, you get you get a room you're meeting people you're waking up in different countries This is your home now.
All right, imagine that that sounds like a bad I'm just saying like man.
You just travel the world the rest of your life Sounds beautiful, right?
But one day you wake up early in the morning and found out you got a few hours to get out Get out
They said, go ahead out.
They were in Cambodia.
They found out.
It was time to go.
They was in Cambodia.
And they said that they found out.
Y'all got to go.
After people, there was a woman that said she spent $300,000 and on top of that, like $7,000 a month to live on this cruise ship, all right?
So, like I said, this is what happened to the residents aboard Villa Vey Odyssey.
A resident cruise ship whose operators suspended operations this week, about 200 passengers were affected and according to reporting from ABC, residents were given about seven hours to get off of that boat.
Alright, and some of these people, like I said, they sold everything.
This was their retirement plan.
This was the plan for the rest of their life.
They
said, we're gonna live on this
ship and we're gonna cruise the world.
This was, this was it for them.
So to be told to get out in Cambodia, where they gonna go?
Alright, so let me explain this setup because these people weren't all
Like they they weren't all on like a little weekend getaway.
Some people did pay for a getaway of some sort, but some of these people truly lived on this ship.
This company offered the people an opportunity to buy or rent accommodations aboard a ship and travel for extended periods.
All right.
It was marketed as a residency program as an alternative.
to a traditional retirement.
So for some people, getting off didn't mean like, oh, vacation's over.
We're going to go home because the ship was their home.
So imagine they just document Cambodia and say, you got to get off.
It's over in seven hours to pack up.
All right.
Some residents put serious money into this dream.
Carol Larson told reporters she bought her cabin for a hundred and twenty thousand dollars and she paid it in installments with monthly maintenance fees on top of that
like I said another woman
said three hundred thousand and monthly maintenance fees upward of seven thousand dollars all right and They told her that this arrangement could last for years.
Okay, so the company's explanation was that
Fuel simply became too expensive.
Our poor government ain't doing these people right, all right?
They said fuel now was too expensive to keep this cruise going, all right?
So in October 27th statement, Villave said monthly fuel expenses calculated per cabin had risen from $1,800 to between $6,000 and $8,000.
So it more than doubled.
In parts of Asia, it said they tried slowing down the itinerary and staying longer in ports, and that wasn't enough to cover that increase.
So realistically, they couldn't pass the entire cost onto residents.
I saw somewhere that they actually did try that.
They tried to ask residents to pitch in and give us a little more of your monies.
Dig deep into them pockets like you're doing them ties and hand it over.
And the residents did try to keep the party going, but it just became too much.
So residents have raised concerns beyond fuel prices.
Lynn and Paul Montoya described earlier problems with operation.
Lynn said residents had to reportedly have reportedly been asked to contribute more money, like I mentioned, right?
And sadly, they tried and it still wasn't enough.
So listen.
I understand that businesses have expenses, right?
I understand that some things can become more expensive than anticipated.
All right, but seven hours to figure out where you're going to live in another country.
Mind you, these were people from around the world.
There were people from all over the place, right?
So they didn't know where they were sleeping.
They didn't know, like, a lot of them.
Remember, this was their...
Like this is where they were gonna live.
This was their retirement plan.
They didn't have another place to, oh well, if this fails, I'm gonna just live here.
Some of these people probably borderline homeless at this point.
The company said that they're gonna work to identify temporary living arrangements and pursue restructuring and new funding over the next 60 days.
But its statements also said that there's no guaranteed outcome.
and no finalized financing deal.
So, and then if you think about it, these people are from all over, right?
They don't have to take up lawsuits from wherever the boat is registered, right?
Like, how does that even work?
Right?
So, this is where the real conversation is.
When you sell somebody a place to live, how much responsibility do you have when the business just falls apart?
All right?
Because people built their lives around this promise.
And before we start saying, well, that's what they give for selling a house, which that's what they give for selling
a
house, I can understand why that idea would be appealing, right?
I can understand why people would be like, you know what?
I'm going to sell my stuff and just travel.
But to put your travel into something like this is real dicey, all right?
These people have worked for decades, raised families, they retired and they just wanted to enjoy the years that they have left.
A lot of these people were elders.
Well, somebody elders, but
yeah,
I don't.
Yeah, I don't see myself doing nothing about that.
But, um, right.
Could you do it?
Could you sell your house and move on to
a cruise
ship?
If the price and lifestyle is enough, you
want to
cruise the world?
You don't
want to see the world, Ray.
First of all, I was born surrounded by water and I don't ever want to ever just live on it.
Like, no, I need land, fam.
Like, nah, I'm straight.
I'm sorry.
They got what they deserve, dog.
Like, why?
Why?
Why did you think this was a good idea?
Why?
Why?
Why sell your house?
I saw somebody, little house, and it looked like a dorm room,
bro.
I was like, no way.
She had a sticker of a window.
I was like.
And then you got, I'm sure you got to pay for all these packages.
It ain't all inclusive.
Clearly
they was paying for it.
What?
So you know they had to pay for it.
Man, first of all, bro, take me back home, dawg.
What the hell you being to get out of California?
Take me back home.
I'm not getting off nothing.
I will sink this damn ship.
All right?
It'll be Titanic.
Take me home, bro.
Now.
Take me home.
I want to go home, fam.
First of all, and I'm going home to a house that I sold.
Take me back to land.
Crazy.
Not Cambodia land.
What do they even do from there, bro?
Like, who do you sue?
They ain't got no money.
Y'all was paying for the gas.
Man, take me home.
Listen.
You didn't pick me up in Cambodia, fam.
You can't just tell me this is it.
I was supposed to be living on this.
They
really did buy, like.
It's actually, it's kind of sad, okay?
It almost is a pyramid scheme.
It feels like a pyramid scheme.
It really does.
It feels like fire festival.
Yes!
On water.
That's what it feels like.
Water festival.
That's what this is.
Fools.
I'm sorry.
I was a ship of fools.
And then for them to keep paying when that lady said they asked if we could cover the cost of fuel My
300,000
ain't doing
it.
I'll pay 300 take me home doc before I'm throwing somebody overboard bro Swear to God I'm not playing with these people bro.
What you mean?
This is
Oh my God.

Shannon!
You back to what's popping with you man, and you got cousin Al on the line Reminding people of what we talking about and then let's go see what's going on
For sure.
So there was a cruise ship y'all in about two years ago They told people to sell their belongings and come on board and become residents They thought they was gonna be living like the sweet life of Zach and Cody.
Okay, they told these people That'll it'll be a never-ending voyage
So they would stop in different countries and they would, you know, just sell the world, travel, non-stop.
It'll be beautiful.
People sold their homes, sold all their belongings.
People were paying upward of $300,000 and on top of that paying a monthly fee, I believe they said like $7,000.
Some people were paying.
But things got a little rocky.
When fuel costs went up, they could no longer afford to travel.
And they asked these folks to dig a little deeper in them pockets and continue to pay us a little more so we can keep going.
But once they got to Cambodia, they told them, folks, you know what, pack your stuff up, you got to go.
They gave them people seven hours to pack up and find somewhere else to go.
In Cambodia, mind you, I don't think any of them were from Cambodia.
I think it was just people from around the world and they just, they left them in Cambodia.
So yeah, man, that's what we talking about.
And we got Al on the line to talk with us.
What's up, Al?
Hey, well, first of all, nobody owns water rights or ocean rights.
And I'm not giving up my, I'm not giving up no control and selling my house so I can be on water.
So the only thing they can explore is these nuts and you can't even guarantee that.
Okay.
And they should, and they should have did their own research.
You're not looking at what country you're going through.
You're not looking at even the health part.
If it's going to be doctor, I'm just going to sell all my sugar, honey.
and let you and give you the control.
Hell no.
That's on you, honey boo boo child.
You better trade water and get back the way you.
Like we're thinking you got this to research you're going to sell.
I'm a sale my house so I can be in a little dorm room.
I can't
fight when I want to.
I can't walk when I want to.
And only thing I can do is swim with the lack of that monster because you don't see everything until you get ready and die.
No, OK, that's what they get.
Maybe Jesus will help.
I'm gonna call Eli Ma, see if I start light and light your ass up
to mine.
Have
a good one.
Yo, that is funny.
Man.
Somebody said one big wave and that's it.
Mr. Postman is crazy.
I'm sad fam.
Not really a city girl.
Not really a city girl said the agreement was that the arrangement could last for years.
I hope somewhere in the contract, some type of monetary pro-rated refund was given back to those people was messed up.
And the reason that comment stood out, because I thought the same thing, but I saw an interview with somebody.
She said, they don't have any money.
They can't sue.
I was like,
ooh.
They got business insurance.
Sue that is
sure they got to the point where they was asking the people to pay for the fuel And then you for show that's how they got to Cambodia
put
in on a gas.
Take me
Bro, I'm not I'm not First of all foolishness bro,
that's
what they get dog.
I'm sorry like first of all I'm first if I'm putting in on a guy.
I didn't wait when you taking this
Where
does gas
go?
It depends where we land, okay?
Is we going home?
I'm holding the funds.
Like, no, fam.
Yo.
As a matter of fact, I'ma collect it for the group.
And my thing is, if I pay for my little dorm room, even if it's just docked, why can't I just stay in my dorm room?
Man, I'm holding
the captain.
Does it not work like that?
I'm holding the captain under citizens arrest, folks.
I'm locking him up in the cockpit.
I'm the captain
now.
Yeah, I'm locking him up in the whatever the is it the cockpit on the ship?
What is it?
Is that just
for?
For
planes that caught the front of the front of the
ship?
What is it?
I don't know.
Starbird.
I don't know.
Our stern.
Right.
The Bowers
stern.
Wherever he got to be one of them.
We're by the steering wheel Take me home You said I am the captain now straight up
look
at me straight up.
It'll be like so I'll be a turn into a pirate They gonna be like start who let this guy on a man what take me home man Not playing the bow then I'm like yeah, man
Come on, fam.
You asked me for gas.
These people dropped
me off
someplace else.
And I know you ain't helping me get home from where you just dropped me off at, Dodd.
Cambodia
of all places.
Like, who you going to call in Cambodia?
Dave Chappelle.
Hey, you know what?
Maybe he can come today rescue.
Some of the Cambodian.
Ambodian
milk.
You gotta, you know, you gotta appreciate that, man.
That was a Dave Chappelle skit.
When did he send them to Cambodia to get some of the finest?
They won't appreciate the joke.
I won't even finish it.
Sherwin told a joke the other day on here.
That was a crazy joke.
Man, listen.
What's crazy is them people giving up all that money.
I wonder if they heart sank when they heard a y'all want to put your money together for some gas gets Cambodia.
That one on the itinerary.
Yeah, putting our money together for gas
is crazy.
All right, y'all.
That was fun.
That was what's popping with Shannon, man.
Oh, we got.
We got black conscious on the line.
What's up champ?
How are you feeling?
Not just self and health as well.
I tell you, boy, these Europeans better stop it.
Didn't they watch Waterworld?
That ain't not too well for him, did it?
And to really ask you a question, I would take upon that.
You know, with all said and be done, travel land, but there's no way I would have considered that on sea.
Yeah.
With all the uncertainties and the changing of weathers and typhoons and all
of this.
Yeah.
You gotta be a dummy to take after that and exactly what happened.
Man, I'm telling you.
I'm telling you.
I'm boozing.
I'm boozing.

Yes.
What's the name of them had some super cold belts at the comedy show last night?
We did the Sovo comedy show at Man Cave.
He had the same one you had, the spinning one, and I got pictures of it.
I'll send it to you.
Then he had like the world champion.
I was like, well, two people had built.
One person had two and this other person had two.
Let me get me a built now, man.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You got two.
Ah, mutiny is an open rebellion, revolt, or refusal to obey orders by a group of people.
Most commonly soldiers sailors or crew members against their commanding officer or established authority.
Yes 100% you use that word, right?
My boy or my girl who a real AK?
Yeah
Yeah, man, that's what
music is.
I would have been a crew member against their commanding established authority.
All right.
For real.
I would have been a part of the group of people disobeying orders.
All right.
Dude.
Like, take me home, fam.
Take me back to the crib.
If you want this to end well for you, you should take me home.
It would have been premeditated.
All right.
Sit me next to Clancy and Pike.
Because if they don't take me home, all right, somebody's going home to meet their maker.
All
right.
They say y'all can get off right here in Columbia.
I don't care where you're from.
You can pray to every last one of them that exists too.
They gonna meet whatever separation between them and the creator they gonna get there They gonna get there All right y'all this hour two with the lunch break crew where we at with it?

What's the name, man?
Brother Z been behind some joints, man.
He
been
associated and rocket with some some smashes.
That's around here.
That put me on a lot of them, too.
I didn't know.
Honestly.
The first time I heard that phonem song was when Brother Z played it here on the lunch break.
That was the first time I heard it.
Can't even lie to Milwaukee.
Milwaukee Bursch, Milwaukee Bursch.
This ain't some baseballs.
Get some home runs.
Get some baseballs.
That's what I took on the
life of its own.
It did,
man.
Which I
love.
Like, I saw a video.
They were riding through the streets of downtown Milwaukee and you could hear it, like, from every direction.
It was crazy.
Everywhere.
I
love
to see it, though.
I feel like I know one of
his songs from before this.
And I was like, this is actually a really good song.
So it's funny that this is the song that ended up taking them up, you know?
So, you
know.
Ever since Z played it, I saw like the Milwaukee County, the Milwaukee County Zoo song.
Milwaukee County Zoo.
Milwaukee County Zoo.
That is too funny.
Then you got the Green Bay Packers ones.
Green Bay Packers.
Blue 42.
Green Bay Packers.
Yup.
So, all right, I found it now.
Finally set it.
Had to do a little lie.
I don't even know what that was called.
Yeah, man.
Shots out to the brewers, man.
Brew crew with it at Cousins.
Y'all bring somebody to lunch today with y'all, man.
Make sure y'all bring somebody to go vote as well.
Make sure you bring somebody to go vote as
well, please Brother family took a family trip yesterday all of them send me I was like make sure y'all send me a group picture.
Oh

that to me Shannon
I
was like, I ain't playing with y'all I Got you.
Yeah, I was like I want to see all y'all out there
My
nephew he was a first-time voter.
Okay exciting
Okay.
And they make a big deal out of it.
My dad was like, they start ringing bells and whistling and saying, we got a first time holder.
Oh,
they know
how to do it.
It's like you just ordered the steak challenge at one of these pubs.
Right.
Man, how long was that clip?
It wasn't that long.
Let's go on and play this clip, y'all.
So this is a clip running by Republicans.
We're gonna get into this.
This is gonna be some of the meat and some of the potatoes that we show.
If you are in this country and you are not black, you benefit from a system of
white supremacy.
Our country should be more fearful of white man.
Everything is a power race.
Today's liberals are full of hate.
They hate America.
They're obsessed with skin color.
I can't even show my face because
my
skin is white and they'll spew hate at me.
Hate leads them to racism.
Liberals are the new racists.
I almost feel like we got time to play it again for the callers is just joining us.
This is the ad that is big.
It's actually ran during the World Series to my
dad.
Yeah.
So yeah.
Insane.
We'll play it one more time and then go to break.
And then we'll come back and get into this.
Oh, one thing.
Well, we'll go to break, y'all, and then we'll be right back after this.
And when we get back, we'll play this again and have this conversation.
Because it's a lot of points we want to get to in there.
Don't go anywhere, y'all.
This is a lunch break with Ray Nitty.
Maybe Shannon, DJ, Brother Zeke.
If you are in this country and you are not black, you benefit from a system
of white supremacy.
Our country should be more fearful.
of white man.
Everything is about race.
Today's liberals are full of hate.
They hate America.
They're obsessed with skin color.
I can't even show my face because my skin is white and they'll spew hate at me.
Hate leads them to racism.
Liberals are the new

You're listening to The Lunch Break with Ray Nitty and maybe Shannon, where every discussion is on the menu on the award-winning
1017thetruf.
Champions!
Champions!
Champions!
You are funny, dude.
Ah!
What up, champs?
Welcome back to the award-winning The Lunge Break crew, Ray Nitty, maybe Shannon DJ, Brother Z. Holding us down with the production and sound.
Yes, we are the champs.
We are the...
My D, where you been at, man?
Where you been, fam?
We ain't heard from you in a while, man.
I was gonna find out.
He put him on ice.
Big Shannon.
He had to get
it.
I did nothing.
He had
to get his actions
together.
He was trying to follow Kerry Washington.
That's what he was doing.
Oh, he
went to Chicago.
He drove all the way to the shack.
With the rose.
What do you say?
He was bringing out the rose.
Oh, man.
Maybe, Shannon, I'm so happy for the city.
The brewers did it.
I'm happy for y'all too, man.
I'm excited that we won, but I'm sad that I'm not there to celebrate.
You know, bittersweet moment.
Y'all having fun.
I'm watching people's stories like that.
Yeah, you still got time.
All right.
You still got time to make
a change.
You feel me.
Hey, my niece in the jet.
You heard her.
Hey, she ain't even stopped playing.
You had a ticket.
Shedding to be in Milwaukee by 11.59 tonight.
Rolls at the airport.
Okay.
I could only imagine.
There you go.
He
said I
don't even drink.
He said that song would make me drink.
Wait till he hear what we just talked about and he catch up.
The ad y'all, liberals are the new racists.
What do you think of
that?
Let me get your your raw thoughts
So It puts me in the mind frame of what was his name Trevor Noah, right?
He grew up in South Africa where like they like are super, you know segregated and all the things and he was like American racism is so crazy because
He almost said like it might be worse because there it's like, yeah, black people can't be here.
We don't want y'all here.
Boom.
Okay.
Cool.
But in America, they try to gaslight us into thinking like we're the racist ones when we call
out their
racism.
It's insane.
And that's what that reminded me of like.
these are clips of people just saying like this is what we're going through this is why this is dangerous and then in turn we're being called the racist ones it's insane and then on top of that they're trying to
we can't even go in public to be and be white they're gonna
get us
what are you talking about that type of
stuff works because but
That type of stuff works because like there are places where only white people live in America and they really do believe that message.
And they're like, yeah, if you go around black people, they're gonna get you.
There are places in Wisconsin where these people probably seen one black person before in their life, other than TV.
Like there are still places that exist.
Like a lot of places that exist.
Like that that will see that ad and be like, oh my goodness, it's crazy in the cities.
Oh my God.
What are we gonna do?
They're gonna come get us.
Like they're really fear mongering and it's actually like comical, but it's scary to think there are very many people that actually think like that.
I'm gonna tell you why like I view all of this as just a joke, right?
The same folks that put this ad out are the same people.
The same...
The same ones I caught myself though, but the same ones That almost like it was just like
Taking steps like it was just a natural thing for them the same ones that claimed Racism doesn't exist.
We don't see race.
Oh Now it exists Now it exists So I want to know what racism they're experiencing and I need them to understand
What racism is?
What it really is and what it really means.
I don't think they know.
I don't think they know, Shannon.
That's why they don't understand how they are the ones that are racist.
And now they just trying to use the uno reverse to be like, they're racist.
They
said mean thing like no Why we just calling you on your BS and that that's what that is like the actual
truth All
right, come on.
So I'm about to know go ahead while
I'm walking Amanda says so does that mean they're admitting to that the conservatives are the original races Because what they mean when they said the new races they said these are the new
That's
what
I'm saying.
So it was around all this time.
Now we admit into it.
Please.
No.
I'm trying to get this definition up.
And I think the most dangerous people are the ones that be like, I don't erase because when we come to you with, hey, this is going on, all of a sudden we erase this ones.
You can't fix a problem that you don't admit exists.
I'm trying to.
pull up the exact definition.
But it's not.
It's not being very cooperative.
But from my understanding of racism, right, you have to have a certain amount of power to even become racist.
OK.
First of all, black people, we do not have nowhere near.
the amount of power to be racist.
OK, it is just
it's
it's physically impossible for us to accomplish because we don't have the power.
We don't have the power structure.
We don't have the organizational skill.
We don't have none of that to be racist currently.
Can we be prejudice?
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
Racist.
No, that is that's that's that's y'all.
Ain't no new racist other than the old ones putting on new clothes Exactly, all right You trade it in yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're Clue Cluck's clang Hood and robe for a doctor's coat Yeah, or judge
already it was be more more discreet about it and then that way like I said they could gaslight us into
Well, we don't do that no more.
They just stop saying it out loud, but continue they same actions.
And then played in our face like it ain't happening.
Like we don't know, like we don't see patterns, like we don't know what's happening.
And that's what makes it almost worse because it's like y'all trying to gaslight us playing our face make us seem like the racist ones for calling out the differences in the disparities.
So
I don't like it.
I'm giving them a couple of definitions.
that we have here for racism, right?
And they have core definitions and types of men that just text me.
She's like, you're extremely lit today, ain't you?
We're the champs, baby.
Hey, I can't home.
Let me tell you what I did when I came home from being in the streets because she had a little cold and whatnot.
Fellas, I'm going to give you a little G right now.
You know, she was laying on the couch.
You feel me?
And I was like, you know what?
I'm going to pick her up tonight.
went
over there, scooped
her up like a little kitten, and whisked her up the stairs, get her into bed, man.
That's what I did.
I was proud of myself, man.
But racism!
I know that's right.
Racism is the belief that humans are divided into distinct biological races with inherent superior or inferior traits, and the resulting prejudice, discrimination, or systemic.
That's why I feel like it is systemic oppression directed against people based on their race.
We don't have the power to induce systemic racism against anybody based on a race.
Now, if you think calling somebody racist makes them racist, that's a very weak try of passing the buck, Chuck.
For real.
Like, come on, man.
Core definitions.
They say, Shannon, individual racism, personal attitudes, beliefs or behavior, such as slurs, harassment or bias that expresses hatred or a sense of superiority toward a people of a specific race, institutional or systemic racism.
That's the policies, the practices and economic legal or political systems that operate to disadvantage certain racial groups while giving advantages to others.
We can't do that.
Exactly.
We ain't in position to do that.
We can't do that.
Listen, I want to hear what Truth Nation gotta say about this.
A33212121017 is the number to dial.
Let us know what y'all are thinking about these ads.
And my thing is, these ads be getting so outrageous.
Like, how does this happen?
What is it?
Where was it?
Before I speak Ohio, I think, dude, the ad where the dude has, like,
That woman's mom on there talking about
she's a liar after
man.
We don't get we get into that after after these
Messages, all right?
Don't go anywhere.

John, what did it do?
What was that?
The saw ended.
Oh, that was perfect.
I thought I'd knock something loose over here, man.
I looked around.
I'm in a parallel universe.
The pause that beat kicked me out.
Whiskojay was right.
Whiskojay.
Yeah, bro.
Oh my.
No matter what it takes to be like, damn, you yelling all in the mic.
Shiny air drums got to be stressed out.
Look,
but after this, I'm gonna need a moment.
I ain't gonna play no radio on the ride home, but nothing.
I'm gonna keep my distance from the microphone.
Because if I get loud, I want y'all to be able to hear me and not
feel like
I'm being too aggressive.
Thank goodness I only keep one in, because this one is ringing.
I ain't gonna lie, but I'm gonna let you have your day.
Ray is so petty.
He know we can't hear him now
All right, y'all, liberals are the new racist.
So who are the old ones?
Who are the old ones?
I ain't like, these just bounced on that video.
I ain't like that.
Flip that out.
Flip that out.
I ain't like how I needed some support.
Just bought a Cadillac.
Ah,
we ain't done yet.
Ah, liberals are the new races.
So who are the old ones?
That's what I want to know.
Who are the old ones?
You can't start the story by saying the new races without identifying Shannon.
who the Owens are, or is that a guilty admission of saying, hey, come on out.
We understand we're real racist, but we don't like it anymore.
And we don't like how you're treating us like we're black people.
Exactly.
I think I think these people are so classless and so like.
so far removed from normal humans, right?
That they don't even realize how these ads sound.
Like, are y'all okay?
Like when I was mentioning just before, it's the Ohio governor's race.
And there was an ad where Wamswami is running against Amy, right?
And he has her mother on an ad calling her a liar.
And this is why it's so tasteless and it may
News because this woman's mom lost custody of her when she was 12 right like and she lost custody because Her stepfather was raping Amy and he ended up being sentenced to prison for that Mind you four years before that he raped his own daughter.
So this ain't nothing this girl made up And her mom ended up losing custody She hasn't talked to her mom since she was 12 when she lost custody and her brother also, you know
Acknowledges that this happened and they were abused as children So for you to go and grab this woman's mother out of whatever hole she's been living in and use her for an attack at to call her a liar is Insane like these people are so tasteless and delusional in what world like how low down and dusty like do you have to be like who thinks that's a good idea like at this point like are they even
Are they even thinking about these ads and how it sounds and how is it coming off?
It's insane.
Hmm.
Yeah, man.
So going into this ad a little bit more, right?
So first, what's actually in it?
We have the AOC talking about white supremacy and Ihan Omar Omar saying the country should be more fearful of white men.
Um, Sonny hosted from the views saying.
Everything is about race, then the narrator, a white woman, face hidden in the shadow, delivers diverting.
Liberals are the new racists.
So the question is, the Omar clip is from a 2018 interview with Al Jazeera, back when she still was in the Minnesota house.
And it is also an edited version circulating in 2019.
So these clips, are they fair or are they just cut?
interestingly to make a point.
So the real question is, and it cuts both ways, right?
Because everybody cut clips, right?
Everybody do it.
They ain't about the liberals or the moderates or the progressives.
I hate all these labels.
Anyway, the narrator.
who has no name, no face, no story about what happened to her, by the way.
She's just fearful of showing her face.
This is why this is very dangerous.
It's dangerous, right?
Because people continuously want to paint this image of fear for white fear and put a black face to it.
And they didn't say, oh, black people, but in certain parts of it, they did.
You know what I mean?
When they highlighted certain clips that said, oh, if you're not black in this country, you know,
they allude
to it being black.
Yeah.
Exactly.
So I'm just saying, man, it's like stop playing these games with us.
And I think people are starting to understand now the BS games that a lot of these ads are are playing is it's actually insulting.
And it's actually a waste of resources that could really go back into communities and help people.
They talk about affordability and the cost of everything is going up.
Americans are struggling while watching you make BS ads.
With all the money toward that.
Admit that.
That's what I liked when David David Crawley called out how much like didn't all these billionaires spend X amount on your ads that could have helped out.
Come on man.
So I'm just saying it's a it's a very interesting situation to hear a side of the fence that has
Traditionally been racism doesn't exist.
Oh, I don't see race.
Oh, you know, everybody has the same opportunity to pick themselves up by the bootstraps.
I don't see the disadvantages.
But now all of a sudden.
You see it when people are that look like you are being called out
for.
And it ain't even nowhere near the
same.
Like they have to start for so many reasons.
There's nowhere near the same, like you said, nowhere near it.
We don't have the power structure to be racist.
We don't we don't have enough power to create policies.
We don't.
Could you imagine if black people created a project 2025?
If Black legislators had enough power to collectively come together and propose a series of bills and goals of how we're going to define what this new frontier of America looks like, could you imagine if Black people led that?
It would be called all types of domestic terrorists.
What's crazy is we can't even imagine a world like that because it's just like so far-fetched.
Like, I can't even imagine a world like that.
Like, I can't.
Exactly, we would legit have flying
cars.
Literally.
It's all in the way.
Yeah, it's just, yeah.
Man.
And they're so, so comfortable in their racism and in their, like, in their privilege that they don't even see how different.
the world is, you know what I mean, from what we experience.
And speaking of what we experience, right?
A lot of our experience, it stems from stuff like this, right?
Somebody that gets to not give their name, not give, know what they look like, no story about what really happened to them, right?
No threat, no incident, no nothing.
Nothing anybody could check.
Just fear.
Just fear.
Right.
Exactly.
So what does it mean when the fear has no specifics?
Is it still real?
No, it's not.
It's manufactured.
And I think people are realized and like, hey, I'm not falling for this anymore.
I'm tired of being the white fear victim when, respectfully, we the boogeyman.
Okay.
And I owe the white delegation an apology while we at it, right?
That was crazy timing.
I owe an apology because we played a game named that race when we was talking about the soccer kid, right?
And, you know, I was like, man, I'm sure it was some white period.
And so it wasn't.
It wasn't.
It was a black man.
That was I want to say he was damn near like over the league or whatever And literally it was because this kid is too now that kid was styling on him He was kicking stuff with the back of his foot did no look kicking goals in he like He's three
years old well look like he's going to
Spain now, so he's going to Spain
with
a world-class soccer athlete
But, um, yeah, I owe an apology.
I can't admit when I was wrong, man.
And I did not get the answer right at that time.
And I'll even give y'all this one.
Sounded like it was some sort of Caribbean brother, too.
Hey, man, I could take my licks, too.
I could take my licks just like I could dish them out, man.
It's all good.
It's
all
good.
OK.
I was just looking at what the the conversations are actually.
The new ends.
What do you think about that, Shannon and Nitty?
Got to the conservatives.
I say conversations that there were no ends or nothing in there.
You need to read conservatives are actually the new ends.
What do you think about that?
See, I've never been like super.
Like.
up on all these different labels, man.
Somebody also said, is it safe to say?
What cracking cocaine did to black people in the 80s?
Donald Trump has done.
The white people making them the new ends.
Your thoughts, Shannon, and I think.
They was ends way before Donald Trump now.
I ain't gonna say they just started with all orange folks.
You know I'm saying mm-hmm.
I ain't gonna say it just started
with a comfortable acting out now.
Yeah Actually, I think it's time for us to go to break When we come back Shannon, we gonna talk about what's at stake on this election.
All right, it's a very important election y'all Very important.
I need to go vote early.
I can't find my dang on wallet I've been looking for my wallet for three four days
That's another reason why I needed a mental day.
I started trying to find my wallet and I couldn't find it.
You
still ain't find it?
Still ain't find
it,
man.
But you could vote with your passport.
So I'm going to take my passport up there and go vote.
I just
did want to
touch it just in case I lost that too.
But don't go anywhere, y'all.
This is the award-winning lunch break.
Don't go anywhere.
Yeah, we'll be right back.
Hey cousin, don't go anywhere.
The lunch break with Rayonetti and maybe Shannon will be right back on the award-winning 1017 The Truth.
This is your all to be Russell W. Stamper II and along with Alderman DeAndre Jackson and Alderman.
You're listening to the lunch break with Rayonetti and maybe Shannon where every discussion is on the menu on the award-winning 1017 The Truth.
Welcome
back welcome back welcome back welcome back
to the award-winning.
The championship-winning.
Lunch break.
Yeah, we won the championship, too.
The Brewers are world champions.
We are champions, Shannon.
We did it, Ray.
We did it.
We did it, Joe.
We did it.
Yes, y'all.
What's at stake?
833-212-1017 is the number to dial.
833-212-1017 is the number to dial.
Five days.
Cinco.
Cinco más.
All right?
That's it.
No more.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd, y'all.
And this is the last week to get it done early.
So let's talk about what's actually on the line, not the noise.
We talking about the stakes, not the five o'clock stakes either.
The good ones, the good things and stakes.
Good
ones.
All right.
So first o'clock because some.
of this is today.
If you need a mail ballot, your request has to reach your clerk by 5 p.m.
today.
All right?
Tomorrow at 5 p.m.
is the last day to register in person at the clerk's office.
Early voting runs through Sunday, November 1st.
This Sunday is the last day to vote early.
All right?
So in Milwaukee, the final hours.
Serb Hall, we ain't gonna get hours.
If you need to go find the hours, you can go to the city's website and look up the hours for the last couple of places that are available, all right?
But Serb Hall, Midtown and Zedler are from noon to three, all right?
New to three good hoping typical new is from 130 to three on Sunday is souls to the polls as well and remember the clock falls back Sunday night So remember we don't get another hour Could you imagine if the brewers won on Sunday?
It would have been a game I think it would have been like game seven or something on Sunday.
I wouldn't want it to wait till game seven
So now at the top of the ballot, we know we have the governor's race David Crowley for the Democrats and Milwaukee County executive.
He's running against the Orange guys, dude.
Tom Tiffany, the Republican congressman.
The poll says it's a dead heat.
I don't know where to hell with all them polls, man.
The final Marquette poll had Crowley up seven with likely voters, three with registered voters.
Tiffany himself said it this morning.
This is a turnout election.
So we have to get out and vote.
Take somebody with y'all to vote, man.
Now ain't the time to try to have all these righteous stories and now you having an epiphany about, you did 18 years of Tom Barrett.
Okay.
You did 18 years of Tom Barrett and we didn't have a righteous moment.
We didn't have a.
An epiphany and the reason I'm not saying vote for somebody just because they black that's not what I'm saying I'm saying vote for somebody because they the best person for the job Sitting out is not an option
Sitting out what Donald Trump's doing to America.
That's his homeboy if y'all like what's going on have at it,
but ma'am telling Look at what happened when and I feel bad
for the Muslim still in Cambodia because of the
prices.
I feel bad for the Muslim community in Michigan, right?
Because if we remember.
Dearborn to be exact to Dearborn, Michigan, they protest.
Kamala Harris presidency so much so they protested that they they were they stayed out of voting.
And in the end of the day, it cost them so much.
It cost them so much now.
It's like we need all the black people to come out and vote for El Said, which I do think people should support him, but it's it's interesting, man.
When it come down to us, we always got this extra caution, which is cool.
Come on, which is cool and it should be, but.
Let's let's act the same way around the board.
Mm hmm.
Now ain't the time for for for all of these extra accountability.
That's what it's about.
Accountability.
You cast a vote.
And if you don't like what the representative that you voted for is doing, you don't have to vote for them a second term.
And I truly believe that David Crowley will be held to accountability standard that no other elected official would have been held to until we see this right here.
My opinion, as governor, because you gotta think about it, Shannon, I don't mean to dominate the time.
You gotta think about it like this, right?
You had people saying, oh, Wisconsin isn't ready to elect a black or a woman governor.
And now we're on the verge of it.
And you have our community who's already hard on our black elected officials, which we should be.
Right.
But to be like, oh, I'm
not.
They also deserve the same grace
as the others.
Exactly.
Especially when the others been running stuff for how long and doing whatever.
Exactly.
OK.
So that's what I got, Shannon.
Make sure y'all vote, man.
November 3rd.
Now ain't the time.
Now ain't the time for the games, man.
Take somebody to vote with you.
All right?
It's that serious.
And we could discuss.
Yeah.
We could discuss everything a little later.
We could figure out later.
What we should be have been doing is getting our agenda together.
What do we want as a community?
What do we want the state to do as a community?
State, release them hotel taxes so we can get a cut.
That's what we should be talking about.
But anyway, Shannon, take us home, man.
We're the champs.
Man, we are the champions, y'all.
Thanks for rocking with us.
This is the lunch break on the award winning 101.7.
The truth.
I may be Shannon.
That is Ray Nitty.
Make sure you follow your host.
Make sure y'all go out and vote.
Vote before y'all go celebrate the Brew Crews win, all right?
Take your cousins out to vote.
Hit that group chat and remind everybody the time is now.
