That's why you don't know what day it is.
I didn't, man.
I ain't gonna
Nah, man.
My apologies, man.
I got a couple of text messages as well, but I needed a mental day, man.
It was like a lot.
It was like just a, you know, a lot going on and just, I just needed a date.
You ever just felt like you just...
needed a day to just like reset your mind, your energy, your peace, your balance.
You know what I mean?
So I had called Shannon and I was like, Shannon, you should do the show still.
She's like, I think I might need a mental day too, man, or everything that's going on out there where she was at.
So yeah, we took a mental day, man.
We took a mental day and I realized I might have needed a mental week, but I am here.
Today.
They missed us.
Remember
first got here and they tried to strangle us up?
Who is these two?
They're the reason we need a mental day.
We've been fighting for our
Because it's me.
We love y'all, man.
It's been a great journey, y'all.
Yeah, we just needed just a day to reset man.
It was crazy.
We had a great Monday, but then I was just thinking everything that was you know going on things that I was processing The election is mentally draining.
I ain't gonna lie to you about that like that's a lot And shoot

Make sure you bring somebody to lunch with you today.
We got some stuff to share, man.
So go get into this menu.
So like I said yesterday, there was no lunch break.
We needed a mental day.
So today we talk about that, all right?
We talk about the brewers being one win away, all right?
And then we will play the commercial that aired during the World Series.
And we're going to go deep into that, right?
We're going to go real deep into that.
And then we asked the bigger question.
All right.
Now, before we ask the question, at 12 30, we're going to have what's popping with Shannon and Shannon.
Tell them what you got was popping.
And then we're going to ask them the question.
Yeah, she's facing
Yeah, get them, girl.
She's facing some backlash, all right?
And we don't talk about why she's facing this backlash and who's coming to her defense, all right?
She featured on a song and the artist who she featured is coming to her defense and saying how he's disheartened that she's facing this backlash from this specific community.
Y'all don't wanna miss who it is and what's going on at 12.30, we'll get deeper into it.
Yeah.
Don't miss it.
1230.
What's popping with Shani?
Happy Wednesday.
messages.
You're listening to The Lunch Break with Ray Nitty and maybe Shannon, where every discussion is on the menu on the award-winning 1017 The
Truth.
They got
They
What it do?
What it do?
What it do?
What it do?
You are now tuned in to your favorite two, with your favorite crew in the brood, the lunch break crew, Ray Nitty, maybe Shannon DJ, brother Z.
Holding us down with the production and sound on this amazing Wednesday.
How y'all feeling?
How y'all feeling?
How y'all feeling?
Shannon, you good?
You ready to get in the menu?
All
we didn't even do it.
Let's do it.
Shannon, you know what time it is?
Yes.
Shannon?
I'm waiting for a cue.
It's lunchtime.
Come on, let's do
it.
It's
lunchtime.
It's
Yeah.
No, see, let me.
OK, you count and I'm going to tell Shannon when to go.
All right, cool.
One, two, three.
lunchtime.
But
was
All
Y'all got to get it down.
We got it.
Y'all got to get it
down.
It's in the intro.
And that's where it belongs.
All right, y'all.
Every time.
Y'all got
down.
All right, y'all.
The Brewers is one win away, one win away.
All right.
We left on Monday.
The Brewers was up 2-0.
Then the series went to Tampa.
All right.
And it gave us everything a blowout.
Put 10 up on them boys, man.
I couldn't even believe it.
10.
And then they scored that one run in the last inning.
We really put BTA to them tamper rays, man.
Real life whooping on them tamper bay rays.
I think we close it out tonight.
I didn't think we, like, would it have been nice to sweep them?
Absolutely.
Yeah.
Um, I don't know if I had just, I didn't feel like being outside last night.
So I was like, man, I, you know, like, geez, I'm tired, man.
It was a mental day.
And it was like, it was good to, to, to see the excitement of the game.
It was extra innings and it went long.
So I think tonight we close it out.
I got my mental day, now I'm in it and I'm ready, and we gonna be outside, and we gonna close this thing out tonight, man.
But it would be nice to close it in Milwaukee.
It would be nice to close it.
Yeah, that's what the
Yep.
typically it's rumored that a lot of these series and championships and they already have a script written for it.
Like sometimes you even saw where I don't know if you ever caught any of these brothers where they may have like wrongfully aired the wrong ad associated with who they were scripted to win or something like that.
Or you see all types of little things like that.
I don't know.
And you know how much money they waste, too.
That's what I'm saying.
They can't miss out on this money.
They print.
True.
They print shirts for each
winner.
did see something where a player said that he got like blackball because they told him that they wanted like some other player to win a certain like break a record or something.
And if he like, you know, chilled out, that player would break that record and he didn't.
And he got in trouble when he said he'd been blackballed ever since.
So in those instances, I do believe, but like something as big as the World Series.
I don't know, man.
That's a lot.
That's a that's above our capitalist level.
Right.
Strong of capitalists to to have have gotten the script.
But.
You know, I will say this.
I don't think it's even just about.
Um, I don't think it's just about, uh, I don't even remember what the hell I was just about to say, Sean.
So with that said, we're going to go talk to Blake and his comment on the Brewers.
Blake, how you feeling?
Good, man.
I ain't been watching the games because I don't want to jinx it.
They can only know they champions if they do it themselves like the year when Yannis knew won it.
I didn't watch none of the games until the last one, but I knew they was going to win after that dunk and Phoenix.
But look at this.
I did 13 seasons in the NFL.
I did 0-4 to 0-9 in the end zone.
I watched Michael Vick.
Didn't come to practice.
You know, when he showed up, he just came to the game and he got dressed.
And every time they went to the NSC Championship and all that money they made, if y'all think it's scripted, how come he don't have a ring?
It's because they got beat.
Professional sports are not scripted.
They do plan for the games to go seven.
They plan to go six.
They would like to go five.
But unless it's betting going on and everybody know how that go down, nothing is scripted in the professional sport because it's too much money at stake.
They let things fall the way they like.
out, Blake.
I've been around.
I've been around.
I've been around for too much to see it.
So that's why I'm just, I'm just putting on the input on that.
know that's right.
Yeah.
I'm talking about like when you get when you get another one, I
games and so forth and see how the player that's how the player thought they were going crazy.
Mm-hmm.
And they wouldn't.
They were right.
But then there's always skepticism or even supposed to be.
But if
so it's easy
they was
They a player was supposed to get a certain amount of rebounds or whatever.
Did you see him run to go grab the last rebound?
If it's just seconds left in the game or whatever, right?
And I'll even give you another one.
This is this is the real money.
You think these TV commercials and ads, these people pay hundreds of million dollars to air through.
You think
they want a
No, we spent way too much money to
to these
need motive.
Yeah.
And see, Tapper, it's a large market, but not for that team.
Just the first time for both for now.
Tapper is an expansion team.
So.
Y'all right, it might go to.
It might not.
Determination of the fall of the point.
But last night, you should have seen all of them.
I ain't never seen so many white and black people take off their shirts and bump chests and be shittlin' and sweatin' and diggin' deer feet.
And then I went to sleep and woke up at 11.30, and they was climbing down off the poles.
They was holding up their chairs.
They was mad.
just wasn't prepared like mentally I didn't have it in me to You know deal with what I know is coming when we do win when we do win That's exactly what's gonna be how appreciate you cousin Blake calling in man appreciate you calling in so yeah, I think I think
because Blake started off saying he don't think it's scripted, but then he gave us some evidence that shows how it could even be more scripted, right?
Because we know TV.
That is probably one of the most negotiated things when these teams talk about collective bargaining rights and things.
It's the ad revenue because so much money is made off of the ads.
So how am I supposed to like?
Can you imagine they like oh, yeah, we we expecting bare minimum is gonna be five games six games You know, you think they don't based how much they're predicting how long a series will go on How much they're charging people for arm airtime as well?
I don't know.
I'm not no professional You know ad salesperson or anything like that, but one would assume
They're not anticipating it to just go four games in that situation.
I do believe they can make predictions based off of certain things, and they can sway the outcomes in ways where the players might not even know that they are a part of.
the outcomes being swayed you know what i mean so i get what blake was saying when he said like it's not a script per se and he probably doesn't think there's like telling the players about it but then again when you explain like the ad revenue and things like that that are happening behind the scenes
and the
truth
Full of the chair, the lunch break with Rayoniddy and maybe Shannon continues in just a moment on the award-winning 101.7 The Truth.
You're listening to the lunch break with Rayoniddy and maybe Shannon where every discussion is on the menu on the award-winning 101.7 The Truth.
Now it's time to tap it.
Now it's time to tap it to what's popping with maybe Shannon.
What's popping with maybe shitting?
Live on a lunch break with Ray Nitty and maybe shitting.
am I on?
Yeah, you you are Bob.
All right, now look, we got to get this billion and things straight if you don't mind.
I just, you know, now this is a bank wanted to charge you.
They want to charge you a hundred or two hundred dollars to bounce.
a check, but they can't because we have a check on capitalism which you, your co-hosts, and Sharon Hughes are leaning towards capitalism.
I can understand this or move you to do that.
Now, your purpose might be for that being there to help that woman.
and you know, at first you don't succeed, try and try again.
Instead of judging saying, oh, you're lazy, I'm not helping you no more.
So you know she's never, she might be next week gonna surprise you and really get into doing nails, doing hair, being working.
But you've already judged her by saying, yeah, we're going to take money away from her.
Because we are saying who judged her, Bob.
Give chances to people that clearly aren't ready to to bet on their selves I give chances when I see people actually doing the work and I'm not saying going to work and making their own money I'm saying at least do the research at least take the time out to build your clientele even before you you are
prepared, start doing the work, start studying the material you need to succeed.
That's all he's saying.
It sounds like what you're saying is to keep giving them money until they feel like getting up and going.
Ain't nobody going to work when you already giving them free money.
Why do I have to figure out how to work when you already giving me all the money?
But
And Bob, we're going to have a deeper conversation on this because I do want us to give this the proper space.
that it deserves.
But right now we're supposed to be doing what's popping with Shannon Bob.
So when we when we talk about this again, I do want to give this a deep thought process and conversation because I agree with some of what you're saying, Bob.
I just don't think that you're understanding what we're saying in return.
And, you know, and I don't like being mislabeled about, you know,
I don't like being mislabeled, that's it.
I ain't called you no name yet.
He done called us capitalists 17 times, Bob.
All we called you was cousin.
That was it.
That's it, Bob.
We're putting so many hands on us, man.
All right, y'all, let's get into it, cousins, because Glorilla is making gospel music and apparently some people want to check her spiritual resume before she gets on that mic.
All right, they she's facing a lot of criticism.
They they basically are feeling like.
Hold on now.
Why are we letting this I ain't gonna call it look I was gonna say even but anyways, they basically are saying They don't feel like she should be doing gospel music because of the type of music she makes some members of the Christian community are upset about the Collaboration with Kirk Franklin on the song this time, which is a list song that song be having me listen
Listen, so the debate is whether an artist known for explicit rap should be featured on a gospel record.
And Kirk is standing beside her during his appearance on Big Boy's Neighborhood.
He said that it hurt him to see people judging her and having the discussion on whether she belonged or not.
So let's
be clear, this is some religious critics, not all, but, and it ain't every church, it's not every Christian.
We can't lump them all on the same thing, but here's my question.
When people say come as you are, do we mean that or do we mean come after you cleaned up enough just to make everybody comfortable?
Because they say
So
She said to me, she said
And it really broke my heart, bro, because, you know, she's a young girl.
She's a big hip-hop star.
She ain't got to be over here doing it.
You know, it ain't like Kirk Franklin bringing Glow a new bag that she can't get on her own.
You know what
I'm saying?
Like, this is gospel.
You know, like gospel ain't mainstream pop, you know?
a Super Bowl halftime genre music.
It is a niche gospel.
And it's for a specific community of people that believe that monotheistic ideal, right?
And so she's getting all this ridicule from working with me on this record.
And she killed the record.
I think she slayed on the record.
And people really enjoy the record.
They love in the record, right?
She said to me, she said, the Bible says, Kirk, she said, the Bible says that the rocks
I'm gonna cry out to God that the rocks can praise God that the mounts can praise God She said if she said if a rock can praise God, why can't I?
Bro, I had no it all I had was heartbreak because that is such a painful questions like everybody is attacking me for doing a gospel song like I can't do a gospel song Like I'm not worthy enough to talk about God just because some of my music may be whatever you consider to be
you don't think that he wanna hear from me, too.
And that just really... Did you get a blowback from working with Glow?
See, I've been in it for so long,
it
don't bother me.
Right,
yeah.
You know, like, think about it.
I was going through this 30 years ago with Salt.
And Salt did an interview a minute ago.
I don't know if you saw the clip, but Salt talked about how, what Glow was going through, it's the same thing she was going through with me 30 years ago.
Bro, do you know how long you got to be miserable to keep a dirt
do a song Man so I understand why some listeners want artists everyday messages to line up with the music that they're making like gospel music And that's the conversation that we can't have but like her Franklin was saying in that clip That was exactly Kurt
Let me be clear.
That was Kirk Franklin talking to Big Boy.
That was the clip we were talking about that said when he was explaining that it actually hurt his heart that she felt like she wasn't belonging or she wasn't deserving of that feature.
And I just think it's like I said earlier, it's one of those things where how do you expect somebody to get into the church if you make them feel like they got to already be in the church to get there?
It is just not making sense.
So there's a difference between questioning, collaboration, and deciding if somebody deserves to celebrate or express their faith.
I feel like you don't have to love every Glowrella lyric for her to let her thank God.
Like she can't praise the Lord, she can't hop on a future.
What are we talking about here?
And I feel like the question
I guess the question that we need to pose is, shouldn't artist music outside of gospel determine whether they belong on a gospel song?
Or could that collaboration read somebody who otherwise wouldn't listen?
Because at this point, are these velvet ropes or church doors?
What are we doing?
That's all I'm saying.
And it's not given wholly when people are judging people that are actually interested in collaborating.
And I think he made a good point when he said, well, we're going to get a bad regardless.
She doesn't need my feature to get on this song.
So this is something she truly wanted to do, something she was moved to do.
Mind y'all, that woman's name is Gloria Hallelujah.
Like, seriously.
That is her name.
Like, what are we talking about?
She was raised in church.
She knows what she's talking about, despite what her music is.
Like, what happened to meeting people?
Where they at?
Y'all want people to come polished and ready to go y'all don't even at that point y'all not even trying to reach out to the masses Y'all just want to talk to the people that's already in the church That's how I feel what you thinking about over there, right?
needs
would none of them be in my church.
You come with some tides waving in the
getting me off track.
Religion, you got to be very careful how you talk about religion, especially amongst our community, right?
But we are so.
We recite so much Bible verses, right?
That that it is engraved in our minds and kids come as you are, you know, thou without sin cast the first stone.
You know, all of these these different things to show that, hey, we welcome people as they are, right?
But then soon as somebody show up, I feel like they say, let me let me let me use my words wisely here.
I don't want to be clumsy with my words.
Soon as they show up, it seems like because they show up as them true sales, which they ask people to do come as you are.
a lot of doors get slammed in their face.
So I always ask the question, you don't know if Glorilla was on the verge of saying, you know what, I am going to transition all the way from the regular rap music and embodying more gospel music, you know?
But because how I want to use the word Christians, but I don't know if that would be fair, but
because of how religious people are responding to her.
You know, it may turn her off completely and be like, y'all ain't no better than the people y'all judging.
No, I think it's fair to say that it's a lot of Christians judging her like that.
I was just trying, you know,
what it is.
called
little
Hey cousin, don't go anywhere.
The Lunch Break with Ray Nitty and Maybe Shannon will be right back on the award-winning 1017 The Truth.
You're listening to The Lunch Break with Ray Nitty and Maybe Shannon, where every discussion is on the menu on the award-winning 1017 The Truth.
Stretch your hands.
Stretch your hands.
You help me understand.
Anything gets failed.
What's going to happen?
You always got to play the biggest prayer award.
I know my words reach us.
I could be in a turd right now.
Instead, I'm on the beach.
Chillin' in my feet.
What they mean?
I'm in my bag of power, blessed and have faith.
What I might just name I am.
The devil work it to go crazy.
Somehow, he still ain't one.
You blessed me so much, and it's the fact I know you still ain't done.
What up,
Welcome back.
Welcome back to the award-winning 10170 Truth Live from the American Family and Sharon Studios.
It's your favorite two hours of the day, man.
It is lunchtime with the Lunch Break crew, Ray Nitty, maybe Shannon DJ, Brother Z holding us down with the production and sound.
And we are wrapping up what's popping with Shannon.
Shannon, tell them what we had popping, man.
And we're going to get into this conversation.
And then you got to call on the line as well.
So right now we are talking about Glow Rilla being on a Kirk Franklin song.
That's what we just came into will be fine.
All right.
And she's getting some backlash from the church community and they're basically saying that she shouldn't be on that song because of the type of music she regularly puts out.
So Kurt Franklin was in an interview and he talked about how it really hurt him that she was hurting behind this and how he was used to having that type of backlash because he's done multiple songs with artists that wouldn't normally do gospel music.
He also talked about how she is Glorilla and she has her own, she has her own.
Wow, she didn't need to be on that gospel song and she did it because she truly wanted to and she was moved to and we got into the conversation about how Sometimes those reactions can push people away.
We also have a caller on the line.
So we're gonna take this call
Hello,
what's up, man?
How you
What's going on y'all?
Hey, first I just want to thank y'all for having me the listen to the show for a while
And you knew guys are really doing y'all thing, and I'm proud of y'all.
But I was calling.
I was calling because I experienced that.
I was raising a church.
And I went a little slurry as a youth around 11, 12.
And my auntie, she knew I was in the street, so she would just get me off the street while I'm out there hustling.
She'd be like, come with me.
And next thing I see, it'd take me to church.
And so what would happen is she would bring me to church.
And then people would stare at me and they made me feel like an outsider.
And it made me focus more on spirituality instead of religion.
To me, religion is dividing the people, man.
Anything that's not pulling people together is dividing the people.
If you sit here, everybody reading the same Bible, reading the same scripture, and everybody got their own game.
They own division of the same scripture, and everybody believe in what?
applies to their agenda um but then sitting here doing that to people and making people feel alienated it's an awakening and it's a reminder that stuff ain't for us we got all this technology we know what we can track our ancestry all this but we can't go back and pay attention to what our ancestors was doing while we got to keep going with something that was given to us something that was forced upon the world
Something that you can't even speak with right now.
The way we even talk about it right now, we tiptoe on it because the repercussions could be catastrophic.
And we shouldn't have to live like that.
So it's just, oh no, man, I feel so far, especially for the old ladies, they give up all their money and all these people giving up their money while they're driving in Bentley's.
Pulling up to the church.
Yes, I agree.
You run in the church.
You should live good.
I totally get that.
But at the same time, Miss Mary can't pay her rent.
Jill can't get his life cut on.
But y'all up here worried about people and how much bank account they got.
Man, it's a business, bro.
It's a hustle.
It's a hustle and black people fall for a headline to thinker.
And even in the Bible, it says, be weary of man's traditions.
Do they remember that part?
Does anybody want to talk about that part?
But I just wanted to say that, man.
So thank you.
Thank you for hearing me out, brother.
I appreciate y'all.
Y'all have a blessed day.
matter of fact, I would love to use that as a clip that we put on social media, see how the folks respond to that.
But I think he said a lot, right?
Something that was forced on us.
Before we even go, Shannon, we got Cousin Al too.
And I feel like we talked about what Al was gonna say this morning.
So we know what you call it and tell us.
Cousin, Cous.
Al, you there?
Yes, I am.
Yes, I am.
Well, first of all, my response to that is, so what?
What's the big deal?
You know, I want everybody to continue to follow their faith, but everybody's sinning.
When you look at it, what about the past?
Who got seven kids?
Where they baby mamas?
Okay, or eight kids with seven baby mommas.
What about the woman who sits in the front row but never have no panties, but they always see that cooktop breathing?
What about the pastor who had to get saved because he was drugged out because his naturals couldn't take the good dough?
What about the woman whose vagina was horred out and now
her
lips is hanging like chit lens?
Let people live their life.
You know,
We have too much on scene.
You're going to hell.
You're going to hell.
But your lips was just wide open to this man and his brother.
How can you condemn somebody when you're doing yourself yourself?
I have a best friend.
He lost his virginity in church, in the basement, in the office.
And I said, what you do?
He said, he said pussy will occur.
So he said, I got it.
So I think the problem is if everybody want to point the finger and act like they are so safe, ain't nobody safe.
But when you look at it, the pastor is the pimp and the conjugation is his horse.
Because every Sunday, he get his payout.
So I just tell people, live your life.
Live your life.
If you want to go out there and do drugs, do drugs.
You want to get drunk, get drunk.
You want to do an orgy.
Do our orgy.
Just take a shower.
And if you want to be a good person, just do from your heart.
That's it.
And make sure you up on your cherry juice.
And always, and always spit after you suck.
Have a great day, everybody.
be like,
her middle name is hallelujah yeah but it also you know what let me not even go into people's stories because she also told a story about how her mama was messing with the preacher and gave all their food stamps away let's talk about that but we can keep going um
Anywho, it's a rapper collaborating with Gracie's Corner, so Jasmine Jazz West said that.
R.C.
Creation said, come as you are is not the same as come as you were.
Let's see what her next drop gonna be after this.
Then, let's talk about who the real hypocrite is.
Modern generations lost in definitions.
Ms.
B said he got it off his chest and Ms.
B also said he made some valid points talking about our collar.
Ken, we also have RC creations.
No such thing as utopia on earth.
God came to divide the sheep from the wolves, the wheat from the tares.
But in the end, the Bible speaks of two churches, the truth and false.
Walkia Manda said y'all need to have a topic about being black and non-Christian.
Hello, to the caller's point, if you push back on traditional Christianity, they immediately call you an atheist.

Man!
What's up out
All right, here, take this.
You gotta speak clearly, you know what I'm saying?
So I'll be trying to just hear, give them what they asked for.
I was like, she ain't gonna talk like that.
That's all I'm saying.
That's why I like the lunch break.
I can speak freely.
I can come as I am, you know what I'm saying?
We don't judge newsreads.
Right, they don't judge me here cuz don't judge me at the lunch break Well, you know here and there but y'all don't judge me the most part
But welcome back y'all a 3 3 2 1 2 10 17 that is the number to die We're getting into a very um touchy subject.
So we're gonna deal with it very delicately, right?
um was talking about Glorilla and the backlash that she's been getting from um, you know
some certain sector of the Christians.
I'm saying the Christians was upset.
Glorilla for partaking in it.
But so here's my thing with this, right?
I feel like for them to say, thou shall not judge all these things.
They be the most judgmental people.
And soon as you challenge any type of thought process, you're an atheist, you're this, you're that.
And it's like, I'm just asking questions.
because I saw somebody, I saw somebody say this, right?
Why would somebody that enslaved you give you their God to pray for?
You think they gonna give you their God that they pray into?
This is how I found salvation and this is where I'm, you know what I mean?
And you should do it too.
I was like, well, your salvation told you to get your hands off me.
It didn't tell you how to treat people.
So it makes me ask a different question, Shannon.
I asked people,
Today, please call us up and I have no right answer for this.
All right.
I'm I Was raised Baptist Christian all these different things I had all type of religion, you know what I'm saying every Sunday Wednesday Bible study do choir all of these things so you hear all of these different things but My question is what is God
What is God to folks?
You know and I'm trying to get educated on it because I feel like And this is just my thoughts.
I'm not saying I am educated on this this subject matter I am just using my own like I'm asking questions, right?
I believe that some Something created this
experience that we're all experiencing, right?
There's some greater entity that is that has designed the this experience that we call life.
And that I believe in, right?
Where my questions come in is the different separations or access points that it takes to get now to this.
creator of everything, whether that's religion, Christianity, Baptists, all of these different layers of separation to get to this source, right?
So I always question a lot of these things, like why so many different layers of separation?
Why?
And I'm just asking questions.
And I try to have a conversation with my mama still, if she was, she still put hands on me today.
So I get why it's touchy because so many people have believed in this for a while.
But I ask them, do they really believe the things that they're saying?
Because you shouldn't be judging people the way that you judge them for asking questions.
And I do believe a lot of people, they get, so...
Trying to find the right words for this.
I just find it strange that in certain religions like they are very What is like I don't want to I don't want to offend anybody right they're very aggressive in their approach right and almost like a just believe me approach if I'm meeting a person for the first time right if I'm meeting a guy or a friend right and You're trying to convince me that you're a good person
It's just like,
oh,
Just trust me that that worries me Aside from the person that is just a good person without saying it I feel like I wanted to make that comparison because a lot of these people like The way that they go about trying to get you into the religion is very aggressive and it's not very warm and it's not very friendly it's almost like Being bullied and I like their makeup for these women, right and they were
Doing some type of convention.
I'm not sure if they were Christian or not, but I was like, they were very mean.
Like these were like the meanest clients I have ever had.
Very mean, mean to each other, talking about each other.
They were like almost like, it felt like a cult.
Like they felt like, oh, well, I don't want to take too much time and blah, blah, blah.
They might get mad at me.
I'm like, we are a grown woman.
Y'all can't.
Converse with each other and figure this out.
It was just a very unpleasant experience and by the end they're like, yeah, you should join us Like and and that's my thing like when I run into stuff like that and I think that's what glorilla is going through it's like Y'all making me feel like I don't even have a place here, but I'm supposed to want to even be intrigued by this mess.
I don't know parts in that
You know
I think it's unfortunate that people feel like they can, first of all, you can't tell somebody how to be a good person.
Just because I talk about certain things or listen to certain things or live a certain way doesn't determine whether or not I'm a good person.
So for people to be like, well, if she's rapping like this and living simply, she can't be on this song.
First of all, y'all do know that song is a shoddy low beat, right?
Right.
Right.
What are we talking about?
Come on now.
And when you, but I do feel like Kirk Franklin is doing something wonderful because when you include people like that, you do open the doors to people that may have not opened their ears up.
And if people could, you know, lean more into that, I do think people would be more interested in learning more.
I like, first of all, I work with this white guy and he like is young and he doesn't, he didn't even know who Kirk Franklin was.
He was like, did you hear that?
Glorilla song with I think his name was Kurt Franklin.
I've been playing that all day Like you are opening people's ears to new things and then you find out who that person is and I know somebody commented and said like one of their concerns is that okay people might hear Glorilla and they might be like well now I'm gonna start listening to this if your faith is strong enough you shouldn't be that easily influenced into Now I'm about to do all these things.
No
But
what
Like I said that friend that was like, now I know who Kirk Franklin is and now I'm listening to this other stuff and like he really got some good stuff.
Like, I don't know.
I think people are, they want people to join badly, but then again, like you condemn them.
It makes
them feel
