Lunchbreak with Ray & Shannon · Tue Oct 20, 2026

The views and opinions of the hosts and guests of this program are of their own and not a reflection of Milwaukee black media or 101 7 the truth Good afternoon Milwaukee.

Hop on who this man?

I wasn't doing it.

So I was like, I'm not paying $1,000 to sleep on somebody couch.

Grab your lunch, hit send on that email, and get ready for the best hour of your day.

My way of thinking

is that the parents do all they can.

But once the kids leave off that door, whatever have you, they make their own decisions.

I don't care if you nine or 99, it's still your decision about the situations that you get involved yourself in.

We talking about tax-paying citizens.

Look into their taxes.

Look into this.

We talking about elected officials doing backdoor deals and somehow she still wanna blame immigrants.

That's what we talking about right now.

We following the money and you still wanna blame black people and immigrants and welfare and all of these things for policies and backdoor deals that put poor people in worse position.

Live from the American Family Insurance Studio at the Third Street Market Hall.

Maybe Shannon

And it was like 10 years ago, but I ain't been in touch with him since he was like 10 years old.

We ain't meeting my little cousin's best friends.

So I understand DJ Bugs Z. I remember I was talking to him last year about doing my daughter's wedding, but this ain't the same person.

But moving the point, I just want to, if y'all need a Bugs DJ, putting out there, reach to him.

He's telling his big cousin, you know, I probably won't talk to him if he out there.

Yeah,

that's a BS with and

Yes, that's right.

3D printed salmon, food and other things are already in distribution as well.

But salmon has now been approved.

And then we want to talk about something Shannon mentioned on this show, the patented seeds.

How?

How can we allow man or corporations to patent seeds, something God made?

What do you think of that, Shannon?

Maybe Shannon

I think it's crazy.

I already told you about that.

Going to some real conspiracy theories about that, but it ain't even conspiracy theories like most of the conspiracy theories in America Are just people telling real life things before it actually hit the mainstream

So

Maybe Shannon

yeah, I can't wait to get into that because that's the topic I can definitely Look we can go down some rabbit holes with that one.

Yeah, so when we Come back y'all we gonna get into this full menu today.

Maybe Shannon

It's time to dive into the menu.

And oh my God, we are at the table till two and we gonna start with a hard one.

Not that hard.

Ah, pause.

Yeah.

Just timing.

Maybe Shannon

Timing.

If you going into the segment, I think you going into it.

Timing was

just terrible for this segment.

Rufus King High School.

Jesus.

One of the proudest names in this city.

Rufus King was a slave owner.

Did y'all hear that show?

He did own slaves as a young slave boy.

Yeah.

But anyway.

Don't go anywhere.

One of the proudest names in the city is in the news again, Shannon, and not for academics.

They ain't been in the news for academics for a long time.

A band teacher.

Oh my God.

One time at Bandcamp.

Remember that one time at Bandcamp?

A band teacher charged with sexually assaulting his students.

Three of them.

Three.

And police say there may be more.

All right How One of the best schools in Milwaukee public schools the school parents fight to get their kids into and This week its name is in a criminal complaint.

The guy's name is Antonio kitchens who's 28?

taught band and the drumline at King for three to four years

Last Thursday, October 15th, around 12.50 in the afternoon, Milwaukee police arrived on campus and arrested him.

The police is there.

First of all, don't they I thought maybe King ain't one of them schools that have a police already on site.

He probably didn't.

Maybe Shannon

They need to at this point.

Look, they had listen when I was in high school, I went to tech.

They have the police horses.

They have police officers.

They had security.

They had they had what is it called?

Violence intervention.

They need

to give all

Maybe Shannon

those resources to King at this point.

SBU.

I'm tired of King.

Yeah.

This is ridiculous.

The homie shakes went.

Tech was, I remember pulling up to Tech and Tech's feeling like it was actually a prison.

This was before Tech had the remodeling and stuff like that.

Like Tech had bars on the windows.

Don't do that.

All right now.

You stick

to

Rufus

King.

I'm

not freaking out.

I don't think he had the bars on there.

But anyway, back to Rufus King, y'all.

Monday he stood in court to charge us two counts of sexual assault on a student by a staff and one count of attempted sexual assault of a student by a school staff all felonies if he's convicted of all three

If he's convicted of all three, he's looking at up to 15 years in prison and $2,500.

$25,000 in fines, his cash bond, $25,000, a judge ordered no contact with the three students, no contact with the school, no unsupervised contact with anyone under 18.

He's due back October 26th for preliminary hearing.

The victims, three seventh, oh my God.

317 year old male students.

And according to the criminal complaint, they described the same pattern.

Alone with kitchens in the school auditorium.

Auditorium is nasty work.

Sometimes called in to talk about grades or absences.

Kitchens would sit beside them, put a laptop on a student's lap and keep his hand underneath it.

This boy is great.

Maybe Shannon

Yeah, I'm just tired of people getting out.

Just throw him under the jail.

What are we doing?

15 years ain't long

enough.

Touching them inappropriately over their clothes while going over schoolwork.

The attempted assault prosecutor's say was in May, then June, then again in early October.

One student told investigators he froze.

The incidents eventually made him avoid kitchens and ban all together.

Another student thought at first it had been an accident.

Later, he asked a friend if anything have ever happened with kitchens.

The friend answered, you too.

That's how it came out.

A student talked to a friend, Shannon.

And then to the orchestra

Maybe Shannon

teacher had a friend to talk to.

I'm happy they had friends that they could confide in and talk to about situations like that because a lot of boys too I feel like these these men they will pray on them because they know they'd probably be too embarrassed to speak up about it and Yeah, that's super unfortunate

Super unfortunate man.

So So here's a part that should make parents Excuse me Lean forward a little bit, right?

When the complaints was filed, police were already investigating leads on two more potential

Maybe Shannon

victims.

Oh, brother.

So he just been in school while they're investigating

and letting them just be there, sitting the laptop on the on the lap, going over grades while grabbing glazes.

Crazy.

Come on now.

Maybe Shannon

And then on top of that, my thing is like.

this man has ruined school for all these kids because as you see like he avoided band all together

messing with his

Maybe Shannon

grades but like potentially who knows what other kids have done they probably dropped out of school all together

These these things don't just stop at like the emotional, mental or physical abuse.

Like it's all of them.

You know what I'm saying?

It's just super crazy that he was even allowed in the school when he was already being investigated.

They should have put him on some type of leave or something.

It shouldn't take what four or five and they said maybe even more.

Man, that's actually the thing.

Maybe even more, man.

We gon' say this, we gon' say this.

Let's go ahead, go to break, and when we come back, y'all, we gon' get into what's poppin' with Shannon, but we gon' rewind on Rufus King after what's poppin' with Shannon, y'all.

Don't go anywhere, y'all.

This is the award-winning The Lunch Break show, right here on 1017, The Truth.

I said it

back

when you looked.

The Lunch Break with the Rayoniddy and maybe Shannon will be right back.

Until then...

Catch up on all the latest local news and what's happening in our community at 1017thetruth.com.

You're listening to The Lunch Break with Rayonetti and maybe Shannon, where every discussion is on the menu on the award-winning 1017th The Truth.

Now it's time to tap into What's Poppin' with Maybe Shannen?

What's Poppin' with Maybe Shannen?

What's up,

Maybe Shannon

what's up y'all it is maybe Shannon y'all are listening to what's popping with

Maybe Shannon on the award winning 101.7 the truth live here on the lunch break with Ray Nitty.

Alright y'all, so let's get into it.

We gonna talk about Jalen Hertz's health scare and the questions fans are asking.

So...

Jaylin Hertz is dealing with a serious health situation and the conversation online goes way beyond football.

The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and Super Bowl MVP is expected to miss the remainder of the season after doctors discovered blood clots in his lungs.

His team and agent says that he is stable and expected to arm sorry his team and agent.

As he's saying he's expected to be stable and make a full recovery He's being treated with blood thinners and cannot participate in contact football during this treatment Now here's the timeline that has people asking questions doctors initially identify a superficial blood clot in his left calf

When you hear superficial blood clot, you think it's not that big of a deal, right?

This happened October 10th while he was in London.

He was cleared to play against Jacksonville the following day, but subsequent testing showed changes and he was placed on injured reserve.

Further evaluation revealed deep vein thrombosis in blood clots in both lungs.

Right so online There's a few different conversations happening right now Some fans are focused on his recovery and football discussion threads people are sharing their own experiences with blood clots including frightening medical emergencies and losing family members because we as we know Blood clots can be deadly, right?

Others are questioning the decisions leading up to this point Why was he playing after the initial clot was discovered and why he was traveling and who determined that this was safe?

Talks sports documented comments from fans calling those decisions Irresponsible in demanding accountability from the people who clear him those are fans criticisms and not medical findings at this point so What's your feeling so far, right?

Do you think there should be accountability in this?

Yes.

100% yes.

And it's a lot I could say as to why because

Maybe Shannon

I

don't, you know, especially in football, right?

Because so much of that sport is just violent, right?

They say almost every play

It's like getting into a small car crash.

When you just slamming, like you got these men just slamming into each other at full speed, you know what I mean?

Like head

Maybe Shannon

first,

shoulder first sometimes.

Maybe Shannon

Literally putting a life on the line.

And each impact is like a small car accident.

And that's just the surface level things that we see, right?

There's so many players who had.

very vital, like very serious neck injuries, you know what I mean?

From, I don't know, it's just, yes, they should be held more responsible because they do neglect players' health in hopes of obtaining a championship.

I'll give you the perfect example.

And they were the Washington Redskins at the time.

They changed a name to the commanders now.

But when they had Robert Griffin, the third and they were in the playoffs, he clearly was hurt.

Clearly, his knee was hurt and they kept putting him back out there so much so that he ended up tearing his ACL and it eventually it basically ended his career.

So that was his last real playoff run.

So yes, they forced these folks out there.

They give them all of these different injections, all of these different medications to numb them to the pain.

But we don't know what type of, you know, how is it changing them internally, all these medications as well?

So yes, they should be some sort of our responsibility.

Maybe Shannon

Yeah, and then they did mention that coach Nick Serrani said that he relied on medical experts and trust the medical staff He also emphasized that he cares deeply about hurts and his well-being and I personally feel like

At the end of the day the medical staff kind of like what you said, right?

They they paid to get them back going basically like let's just get you Let's patch this up and get you back on that field like they can say they care all they want to but the bottom line is making sure that their players are Tape together and back on the field.

That's what I look at it as because wasn't it reported that this man Not only like they knew he had this blood clot that could be dangerous They try to kind of downplay it like oh, it's not it's just a little

You know, it ain't much and nothing and then they told him to not go to sleep because it's dangerous enough for you to not go to sleep.

So he was up for 36 hours and then y'all threw him on a field right after that.

That's insane.

If I'm correct in this timeline, that is wild.

I wouldn't ask nobody to work like after being up for 36 hours, let alone having a medical condition, let alone after a flight, but y'all put that man on a field.

And you expect me to believe y'all care about his safety and his well-being?

No, they care about the money They care about winning games and that's really what it comes down to and I also believe as well We celebrate athletes for push for pushing through pain and we all their warriors and we praise this like oh he got back out there Wow, what a what a

You know warm story.

That's not a warm story.

These people are putting their lives on the line They have families.

They have people that love them Jalen hers got plenty people calling them his wife.

They're like my husband would have died You know how many people care about that man?

But what I'm saying is a lot of people For real though like a lot of people do care about these people as people and not as athletes and players and after and this gets into something totally different a lot of times

After these people are retired and no longer playing, the family is left to deal with the hurt that has been caused.

The family is left without, you know, their husband, their father, their family member, their son.

Like these are humans.

These aren't just machines, bro.

If y'all want machines, y'all can get some Tesla robots out there on that field.

Oh, it's coming.

Maybe Shannon

Yeah.

Oh, it's coming.

No, I bet.

You saw him race another day.

Yeah, I guess what?

At what point do we stop making the ability to push through everything like a measure of somebody's commitment?

I guess that raises the question like is it worth it at the end of the day?

Like, yeah, people want to see their favorite player.

Yeah, people want to be like, yeah, my team's so tough.

He played with one leg and no eyes.

Like sure.

Well, you know, whatever.

But I also just don't.

It feels very like a slave.

Like I don't like it.

I don't like it at all.

Like, it's OK to enjoy the game of football.

But goodness gracious, when you are treating them like that.

Oh, absolutely.

My word.

I mean, even the combine, if you look at the combine, how they measuring cats, they got them stripped down to their skivvies.

You know what I'm saying?

Measuring they have skivvies.

It was like it was very reminiscent of like slaves on the slave block.

You know what I mean?

They

Maybe Shannon

like,

oh, look at this.

Look at this buck.

Oh.

Look at the shoulders.

Oh that one could

Maybe Shannon

do so

many things.

He could

Maybe Shannon

watch him do a flip

You know what I mean?

So I don't I'd only imagine was going through their heads the mentality You know what I mean of some of these owners, but you know to say that oh, you know, we care about

His his health first and his family first like you can say that all you want But your actions show different when you tell somebody don't go to sleep for 36 hours is now if you like yo We don't want you to try not to go to sleep for 36 hours because something can happen to you in your sleep, right?

But then to be like but we

want you back on the

field Come on now.

Don't go to sleep for 36 hours Then I need you to get on this plane to go play in the game

Like that's not showing somebody that you you care for them, but

Maybe Shannon

And I'm gonna ask this before we go on break.

I'm gonna ask this right so Can athletes truly feel comfortable choosing their health when fans and employers?

Consistently reward them for playing through the pain and I'm gonna ask our cousins in the chat Alright while we don't break think about this.

Have you ever felt guilty for putting your health before your job?

And have what made you finally say I need to stop forget it

It's just a question.

I want y'all to sit with and let us know how y'all feeling about that I

Know my answer, but I'm gonna save it for when we come back.

Don't go anywhere y'all when we come back.

We'll get back into this conversation right here

here on the award-winning 101.7 The Truth.

What's on the menu today?

The lunch break with Rayonetti and maybe Shannon returns in just a moment.

You're listening to The Lunch Break with Rayonetti and maybe Shannon where every discussion is on the menu on the award-winning 101.7 The Truth.

Dr. John Lapook, Dr. Lapook, thank you for joining us.

So what can you tell us about Hertz's diagnosis and could this be potentially career ending?

Well, you

know, you have a clot on your leg.

OK.

The problem is it can travel up the veins and go to your heart and then from there go to your lungs and block the blood vessels in your lungs.

And you get things called pulmonary emboli.

That's very serious.

It can.

I've heard that

before.

Yeah.

Could it be career ending?

You know, too soon to know.

I mean, normally what you would do is you would treat this with blood thinners for three months and then sort of see what happens.

Now, you know, they're going to follow him closely.

It may be more than that.

And then after that, you take them off the blood.

centers and I think they'll probably test his blood to see, does he have some kind of disorder of clotting that increases the risk of clotting

or some anatomical problem?

Maybe something pre-existing.

Something else, but... You know, Doc, I have been misdiagnosed and it happens, but I don't want to make assumptions because we don't know what happened.

In your assessment, listening and paying attention, and maybe even talking to other medical professionals, what do you think happened?

Yeah, you know, trying to go over the timeline, we don't have all the information, but you know, he got spiked in the calf.

on October 4th against the Rams, right?

A few days later, he seeks medical care.

He ends up flying to London on that Friday, right?

Now, does flying complicate?

Well, yeah, in flying, you know, you can get dehydrated, right?

You're not moving around a lot so the blood can kind of sort of sit.

It doesn't return

to the

heart as well as it can.

When he got there, they did a test and they found this superficial thrombophobitis, so a little clot.

And they cleared him for surgery.

He cleared him to play.

He ended up playing.

And then right after the game, he flew back.

Wait, what's this deal about him not sleeping for

like 36 hours?

You

know, I heard that that was wrong, that actually he did get home and he did get a few hours of sleep after the game.

But still, I think the bigger... A few hours

of

sleep.

Well, the bigger point to me is not the not sleeping.

the fact that he had a flight there, a flight back within a few days, that increases the risk of blood clot in the first place.

You know, we tell people when they're on flights to walk around, maybe wear compression stockings.

So what about treatment?

Treatment is going to be anti-coagulation for, you know, a minimum of three months.

And then after that, they're going to see what happens.

So I think, you know, there's going to be more news to follow on this.

You think he'll play after this year?

You know, he has every possibility of playing and having a career.

But let's see.

What up, Milwaukee?

Welcome back.

Shannon, how are you feeling, man?

Maybe Shannon

Man, I'm feeling good.

I'm feeling good.

I mean, we just listened to the timeline and as suspected, like he flew to one place.

After complaining about an injury and it was clear to play Like just a whole mess of things and it's just super unfortunate Man and like like we talked about it sounds like they just want them people back on that field And the medical staff is the NFL's medical staff not theirs But we do have a caller on the line and then we gonna get into this chat because we got some comments We want to catch up all out.

How you

doing?

Yeah, I'm doing well.

How are you guys doing today?

Good.

Good, good.

I want to comment on the blood clot because I went through a blood clot that ended up with a pulmonary embolism that was early last year.

Yeah, it was early last year.

You don't always know you're having a blood clot and I worked in the medical field.

And I had heard all the symptoms, it's gonna be really painful and it'll swell up, it'll turn red.

I didn't have that.

My leg kept falling asleep and I thought it was weird.

Like, why every time I sit down, my leg is falling asleep.

It's like 20 minutes of sitting.

And so I put her off for like a week.

One day I was walking up the stairs and I felt like my heart was gonna.

I wasn't going to be able to catch my breath or take another breath, so I wouldn't lay down.

And it still was another three days before I took my butt to the urgent care to say, hmm, let me just go in and let them tell me nothing's wrong.

Because I started having a pain behind my knee that traveled up my thigh and sat there in my thigh, and it felt like a Charlie horse.

They did the ultrasound.

I'm sitting in the room waiting for the results.

I'm thinking, oh, you're fine.

They came back and said, you need to go to the emergency room now.

And then I got there.

They ran some more tests.

And they found out that the blood clot that started in my leg traveled up my thigh through my heart.

So that probably was that day that I felt my heart was going to stop and I couldn't breathe anymore and lodged in my lungs.

doesn't just go away.

I was in the hospital for two days and they were giving me high-powered intravenous blood centers, but I'm on blood centers for the rest of my life, but it still takes like months before that.

Embalism breaks,

I

mean that blood clot breaks up and embalism break up go away.

So you're worried about it being career ending.

It could be life ending.

So you have to take agency with yourself.

and tell people what you're not

going

to do for the sake of your health.

You can't let other people say, oh, just play.

You'll be OK.

No.

No.

Take your health in your own hands and tell people I'm not coming to work today.

You know what?

I have to get me a new job because I can't get me a new

life.

I was gonna ask him like what are some signs that people should look for cuz I ain't gonna lie man I be sitting down and my legs just be falling asleep, too And I'm at the age no

Maybe Shannon

Ray like hold on now People you start hearing symptoms.

Oh, yeah 100% 100% I'm sitting

my foot tingling right now as we speak

And I'm sitting here like, what is it?

Man, how many times I've been on the phone with you, I'll be like, man, what is up with my knee?

I'm feeling like something behind my knee.

So.

Maybe Shannon

Man, right, please.

That's arthritis, sir.

You know what?

I can't even say that, because I'd be sad if something happened.

I'm like, oh, I told him, man, please.

See, I could.

I'm just saying, man.

See, Shannon told me.

You know what?

I

don't know the symptoms.

So it's like, I want to, like.

Let me know if something feels familiar.

And then I could be like, yeah, I did have that shoot up my leg and then to my back.

You know, it's

Maybe Shannon

all

types of weird stuff that happened inside of you while you 42 that you just like, man, what is this?

Maybe Shannon

What is this

sensation?

Like, you don't got to be doing nothing.

I could just be sitting down and then you just feel like a little twinge in your leg, man.

So, yeah, that's, um, I'm at that age, Shannon.

I'm nervous about everything.

We got back-to-back owls.

Now we got owl-owl.

Owl, what's popping, man?

Talk to us.

How you feeling?

Oh, I'm feeling lovely as always.

Sometimes you have to have to listen to your body.

When you start to make an unnecessary goofy mistake like you've been drinking Black Velvet or Astridam or Tonka Gin when you start cussing everybody out and you think you can cook.

Sometimes your body will give you those signs where you just don't want to act right, it don't want to move.

Sometimes you might just have to sit down and tell everybody to show ass till tomorrow because you only give one life to live.

But you know, just listen, just pay attention to the signs or when they start getting too much and it's like you're pushing yourself, now you got to do self-preservation yourself.

and being all the other people that's telling you to do it or adapt, you may have to tell them F off or go somewhere and F on somebody

Maybe Shannon

else.

So listen to your body.

And we all got common sense.

When your body tells you no, it's no.

It's like a bad recipe.

You know how when some people keep on drinking and keep on drinking and you get a call from the hospital because they bled out their ass because they drunk too much, they didn't listen.

So now it was blood and draws everywhere.

So just listen to your body.

Have a great day.

Maybe Shannon

Y'all heard, y'all heard it here first.

I'll say don't, don't get too drunk to where you bleeding out your behind.

That's real.

You know, listen to your body.

Again, we asking the question, have y'all ever felt guilty for putting your health before your job?

What

do you gotta drink to do that?

You

Maybe Shannon

can absolutely feel comfortable.

Right?

Say, hold on now.

I've got that symptom.

What type of drink is that?

Listen, I'm not sure but I'm gonna take Owl's advice and not drink too much because I don't need that happening, alright?

833-212-1017 is the number to dial.

Right, we getting into these comments.

Where should we start?

Man, I'm looking at these boneless chocolate chip cookies online.

That's what I wanna start.

Let's uh...

Maybe Shannon

Goodness.

Let's uh, let's get into the oh man.

Y'all been commenting.

Maybe Shannon

Where should we start?

That's what I said, Ray.

We gotta get into these comments.

You looking at the cookie man.

One of one.

He said sports industry dirtier than people think organizations.

Oh that man big time.

I've seen that they say he gonna own Philly by the time he done.

I hope he do suit him.

He seemed like the type that a give back to his community.

So get him all the money.

Dang it.

I'm sure

Maybe Shannon

they forced him to play.

It's an auction for people It's an auction for people ran by old white man.

I think he's talking about the NFL We got Robert Lance has it been confirmed that they made him stay awake We just saw the news report where they say he did get a few hours to sleep, but he was back Which right which could is questionable.

I'm sure they did tell him to stay awake

RC creation says some men are still willing to die on their shield This comes down to people being able to tell you when you can come or go slippery

You're listening to The Lunch Break with Ray Nitty and maybe Shannon where every discussion is on the menu on the award-winning 1017 The

Truth.

What up, y'all?

Welcome back to the

award-winning 10170 Truth.

This is the lunch break crew.

Your favorite crew winner, Brew.

Ha, ha, ha, ha.

Who ya?

To Cal.

What up, y'all?

Welcome back.

Welcome back.

Welcome back to the award-winning 10170 Truth.

Live from the American Family Assurance Studios, it is our two with your favorite crew in the brew, Shannon saying, Whimmy.

There we go we getting there y'all we getting there y'all eight three three two one two ten seventeen that is the number to dial we want to hear from you man and we need y'all to do us a favor like share and subscribe please click that little share arrow and send that to somebody tell them tune in to the lunch break they cooking up here Shannon was cooking yesterday man her cousin um let it cook

What's the

name?

Hello.

Melisand.

Melisand.

You had a nice family discussion yesterday.

Let's go talk to cousin Cherise.

Cherise, how

you feeling?

I'm feeling great.

The weather is beautiful and yep, I'm feeling good.

The brewer is doing good and the packer is one.

I'm doing great.

So on that note, I totally agree with Al.

Listen to your bodies.

The other color set is best to go to the doctor and hear them say nothing is wrong.

And what I tell my friends, families, clients, patients, whoever, go when you're first having this symptom.

Because then you can just go to your doctor and the doctor can give you antibiotics, he can run some tests, he can give you some medicine, he can do that.

Don't wait and ignore it to the point where now you admit it to the hospital.

You're not just on a regular floor.

You're an ICU.

Now you're hearing that the doctor is telling your family, oh, we wish they would have came a long time ago.

There's nothing else they can do for you.

So don't wait till your body has exhausted every possible compensation and now there's nothing else that can be done.

Go when you initially have that problem, no matter what it is, whether it's your respiratory or cough, whether it's a pain, whether it's symptoms with your going to the bathroom or symptoms with your eating.

Go initially because guess what?

These problems have phases.

These conditions

They don't just magically heal themselves.

A lot of times they get worse.

And it's like, why let it get to stage five or why let it get to a terminal or fatal stage?

When you, your body told you, hey, help, help, help.

I need help.

Give me some help.

Initially, don't just ignore it.

And when it comes to your job, you know, people like, well, I got to go to work.

If you're dead, guess what?

They're going to get another worker.

They're gonna, and that's all our job.

I die.

If you die, if the quarterback, if the baseball player, if the pitcher, if any of them die, guess what?

They got a replacement.

That's why we got a backup quarterback.

That's why we got a backup running back.

We got backups for any interim people in jobs.

If the principal can't go, guess what?

We got a backup.

We got a backup president.

If Trump gets sick and don't make it, guess what?

We got vans.

If there's a backup for everything, we don't have to sit up there and think the world's going to stop if we don't show up to work.

They will be okay.

But if we're dead, they might not even send us flowers.

They might not even get the money to our families fast enough to handle our business.

So I'm not going to put them on a pedestal because they're not really necessarily putting you.

Yeah, they pay a check.

But again, you can't function at your 5.0 self if you're sick and you're not well.

That's my truth.

Have a nice day.

Man.

Thank you, because it's churris for calling

in

and sharing your truth.

That's what we like, man.

Call and share your truth with us.

It's truthful Tuesdays.

Maybe Shannon

I know that's right.

We share the truth every day.

We definitely gave us a lot to think about.

We do.

We share the truth every day.

We got a few more comments in the chat.

We got Miss B631.

Yes, listen to your body.

I mean just like what I said if you drink and you got blood in your drawers, it's time to go get checked, you know Somebody's

laughing about

Maybe Shannon

that comment in the in the chat.

We got Jasmine.

I got mouth authoritis not cool We've got shout out to shunt Sherman Park out he was spot on with his advisories We also have Sir Chan say saying the older you meant you especially men you need

I'm sorry.

He was

Maybe Shannon

older you get especially me He didn't put get so it threw me off, but that's what he meant He meant to say the older you get especially men you need to monitor your weight closely keeping it is As it was in your 20s because the more you gain it affects your joints in circulation Okay, people with bad health on tiktok.

They not listening to the truth Alfonzo said that I don't know how that got there.

What we do?

Hey

People with bad health on tiktok broke people are funny rich folks ain't sacrificing well for

health

Maybe Shannon

The truth, the truth chat on YouTube just all over the place.

So

Maybe Shannon

we be trying to pick the ones that's on topic.

But as you see, some sneak they wait through there.

All right.

Some of

Maybe Shannon

them.

Robert Land said, think think about all the NBA players forced to play through injury, which is true.

A lot of, like I said, I think these the medical staff, they work for the team and they shouldn't be shamed for getting a second opinion about nothing because clearly them folks going to put you out there patched up.

They don't put a little glue on it, tape, whatever they got to do to get you through that game.

And it's up to you to choose your

health, for sure.

Absolutely.

Robert reminded me of Kawhi Leonard when they was trying to say, oh, no, you good to play.

And he went and got his own second opinion.

He was like, all right, this doctor said I need

Maybe Shannon

another

year.

All right.

OK.

Play with

somebody else.

He sat out, but it's also having the mental fortitude to be like, no, I am going to listen to my body.

I am going to trust what my body is saying, not what your paid doctors is saying, right?

Because some of those athletes, they get a certain.

amount of pay based on how many games they played in, how many stats they accumulated.

You know what I'm saying?

So much as some of these contracts are predicated on, you know, the achievements.

You know, so you got, remember Eddie Lacey that used to play for the Green Bay Packers and running back?

He had, if I'm not mistaken, he had incentives in his contract to just don't show up to camp.

overweight fam and then if you Yeah, it was like if you show up at this way you get even more money So all he had to do was not eat and go crazy and he was getting paid.

So It's like stuff like

Maybe Shannon

that man.

I mean, it's easier said than done to I will say when you have like a fan base some of these fan bases are like harsh

They wouldn't you chicken?

Why aren't y'all there on the field risk of your life?

You gonna let a little death sentence control your game?

Like people are harsh to them like I've seen like athletes losing in their comment sections even college athletes like bro they comment sections turn into war zones where like they literally will be bullied by fans so I can understand

why with the heat coming from the fans, with the heat coming from the team, when the heat's coming from everybody around you, it's kind of hard to be like, you know what, I'm gonna look out for myself.

I'm gonna do what I feel my body's telling me to do.

I think it's one of those situations where it's easier said than

done.

So we got a special caller online.

We got Shannon's hubby online.

What did it do?

That's what it say on the what's the name that's I'm gonna take a picture

Maybe Shannon

brother.

He's ended up like that.

I'm not gonna deal with

y'all All blesses all blesses how y'all doing hey Hey, let's have a real conversation Now this is what they don't want to have man a lot of them lot of them for professional athletes

and even college athletes be doing what we call juice in man.

So a lot of this juice and stuff is causing the blur clocks.

I'm talking about the needles man.

They go to multi-million dollar doctors and they get the needles in the man.

It's called enhancements.

Call enhancements and if y'all do y'all research

We can really shut baseball down right now.

There's so many athletes that have been juicing.

You see they get, remember the girl, Marilyn Jones, she got disqualified for track.

I mean, we're not having a real conversation.

See, we just, we just touching the surface.

But if we're going to be maybe Shannon and Ray, we need to have the real conversation because that's the real conversation.

We already know the professional athletes, they're crash dummies.

But everybody don't want to be Chris Boss in the game.

Chris Boss had to walk away because of blood clogs.

He got $12 million a hole.

He had to sell it.

So you lose a lot of fame and fortune when you walk away.

And then it's easy for people that's not making seven and eight figures say, man, I ain't about to sacrifice my health for money yet.

But that's why you, that's why you where you at.

You know what I'm saying?

The same thing can be going with me in this truck.

I got air brakes in this truck.

The air brakes go out.

I lose my life.

I ain't worried about this.

I got insurance policies and I got, all my kids got stock on Wall Street.

So it's all about sacrificing for the bag.

You didn't sacrifice for the bag or you're not going to have nothing.

But the real conversation is a lot of these players are on enhancement drugs.

Ryan Blower, maybe he got suspended.

He tried to lie.

They told me it was, it was some, some both types of stuff he was thinking.

So the real conversation is always look beyond the surface.

It's more to it.

Tell me.

Man, appreciate it.

Y'all heard it?

Y'all heard, I love y'all.

Y'all heard it from me first.

Is this more to it?

Love y'all.

Man, I appreciate you, boss.

Man, you got a little comp in the chat, because, oh man, Shannon, you are redone.

That's because brothers the M. Ray had made this a thing.

So now people is.

What do we do?

First of all,

that has always been happening.

That has always been happening in the chat.

Maybe Shannon

First and foremost.

Mm hmm.

All right.

Maybe Shannon

Anywho, we can read the comments.

They're needles.

One tap and you back.

That's

what we read it.

Maybe Shannon

Um, yeah.

Hold on.

Hold on.

Don't go anywhere.

Don't go anywhere.

Don't go anywhere, Shannon.

Why are you coming fast?

Don't go anywhere.

Where you going?

Where

you going fast?

One of wands says, Shannon's hubby, question mark.

He got to see me.

All right.

That's

right.

What is your

Maybe Shannon

scene?

For the love of

Shannon.

For the love

Maybe Shannon

of Shannon.

We need a show.

Coming soon.

For the love of Shannon on Truth One.

For the

love of Shannon coming soon.

I can see it.

I'm hosting by Ray Nitty.

Don't go anywhere.

We'll be back right after this.

We go shanning up like the NFL player.

Oh,

shit.

I want us to move it along, right?

Because it is, it is our early voting that started today.

And I feel like...

We'd be doing our listeners a disservice if we didn't let people know where they could go early vote at Shannon

Maybe Shannon

Definitely

so This is what the benes is y'all Yeah, I did that right there.

This is what the benes is.

Ah,

We hear it all the time.

You know what I'm about to say, Shannon?

What is it?

This is the

Maybe Shannon

most

important election of you.

Maybe Shannon

Every election since I've been 18 has been the most important election of our lives.

But maybe things just get more important.

Dang it.

This one is though.

This one is and we'll get into it.

But before we get into that, we want to tell you all where you can early vote at starting today.

All right.

So city residents can vote at any.

of the 11 sites, all right?

You don't have to live in that area.

You could go there and vote.

If you nearby, go vote.

Get it out the way.

Get it out the way.

Me, myself, I'm going to be the first in line for my historic moment.

I want to be the first person.

I want to have number one when they give me my sticker, all right?

Bring a photo ID, a Wisconsin driver's license or state ID or military ID.

The hours change day to day and some sites close on the weekends.

So check the city site before you head out.

Got an absentee ballot.

At home, the state's official says mail it in by today at the latest.

It has to arrive by 8 p.m.

on election day or it doesn't count.

Safer, hand it into an early voting site just to avoid all of these things, right?

And what else?

Statewide absentee requests are down from 2022.

We had 371,000 versus 467,000 official things folks are voting in person instead.

So the lines are short today.

So go be the first one in line.

All right.

It is a very important vote, y'all.

It is a very important vote.

Yes, I know, I know, I know you hear people saying, oh, the first.

Black elected governor in Wisconsin history.

Yes, that is a very important stat.

That is a very place of history to be standing on, right?

But for me, most importantly, it's the best person for the job.

Because somebody that understands what Milwaukee needs as chief in command, I personally think and trust me, bro, no.

He got to do was right because he got to hear for me And I know you don't want to hear that on a daily basis.

So trust

Maybe Shannon

me ain't gonna let up Trust

me.

It's the petty

Maybe Shannon

station over here.

Trust me

Trust me man to have somebody Shannon that knows the needs of Milwaukee somebody that has found fought for Milwaukee County as County Executive as County Executive somebody who knows what we need

So imagine having

Maybe Shannon

a plan

for it.

There you go and

the

relationships To get that plan across so I'm anticipating one heck of a year You know my sensor in myself these days one heck of a year You know So make sure

So make sure we get out there and vote y'all when we come back When we come back y'all we gonna get into a quick story I want to talk about the Midtown story where it was a mirrors election Going on and it was I want to say it was 2020 and for some reason the most

Populated, early voting site was shut down.

And we'll get into why that happened.

I got my reasons why, but we'll talk about it right after these messages.

Don't go anywhere.

You're listening to The Lunch Break with Ray Nitty and maybe Shannon where every discussion is on the menu on the award-winning 1017 The

Maybe Shannon

Truth.

Jumped out my dream and made my bed.

I can't sit still.

I had to stand up.

When I got real, I had to man

up.

What up, y'all?

Welcome back.

Welcome back to the award-winning one-on-one, seven-to-truth live from the American family and Sharon Studios.

This is your favorite crew in the brew, the lunch break crew, Ray Nitty, maybe Shannon, DJ Brother Z, holding us down with the production and sound.

Shannon, how you feeling?

Maybe Shannon

Man, I'm feeling good.

It's been a fun episode today.

I feel like two days straight.

We're gonna make this a good week.

This is gonna be a great week, man.

All our episodes be good, though.

We

Maybe Shannon

got

the folks

Maybe Shannon

out here talking about going on a phone.

We got all types of things going on, man.

Straight

up, man.

Real quick, Shannon.

Real quick, I want to get into this because I don't want this to take up too much of the rest of our time because I do want us to get into that 3D meat.

that people eating.

So I'm going to make this one quick.

We're going to get into the Midtown story.

All right.

So you're voting at Midtown Voting Center today, 4170 North 56th Street open till 5 p.m.

But Midtown's got a history in this city and you should know about it.

OK.

Spring 2020.

Amir's race.

Mayor Tom Barrett running for re-election.

In the first month of a pandemic, the city of Milwaukee closed its three early voting locations.

Midtown Center, Zablaki Library, and Ziedler Municipal Building.

COVID was the reason, but State Representative LaKeisha Myers pushed back hard and her words still ring.

The city hadn't mandated closures of retail stores or liquor stores.

So why was voting an essential good?

Why wasn't?

Why was voting an essential good to the community being hampered?

Equitable access to the ballot box is the cornerstone of our democracy, she said.

Then 2023.

the old Midtown center location closed for good.

And this time the community didn't wait to be asked.

Voting rights activists, souls to the polls, Alderman Mark Chambers Jr.

They unveiled a replacement themselves, the old Midtown bank building at 6,001 West Capital Drive on the bus line, ADA compliant 95 parking spots.

Reverend Greg Lewis of Souls to the Pose.

We are grateful for the new site, but we need to make sure the city council and mayor get it over to the finish line.

Today, the Midtown Voting Center lives on 56th Street, and it's one of the busiest early voting sites in the city.

But the lesson of Midtown is the lesson of every election in Milwaukee.

Access to the ballot is never just given twice in six years.

That site went dark.

and twice the community fought to light it back up.

This is important to me, right?

So here's the question, right?

They closed Midtown during a mayor's race once.

What do we owe the voters who stood in those lines anyway, right?

Call us up.

But I want you all to know about something that I feel this is that you could say what you want.

I could be 100 percent wrong.

But I think time period closed in post.

I think he closed in post, man.

I think he closed.

I, I think so.

I think so.

Why?

Why you don't, we don't close liquor stores down.

We don't close retail stores down, but you telling me you going to close people out of voting?

Maybe Shannon

Insane.

And when they could have literally just told them to stand six feet apart and they could have handed out masks while they wait.

Come on, man.

And a lot of times you outside while you waiting.

Anyways, come on, man.

I think

I.

Once again, I have zero factual evidence of this, but I feel like he was nervous.

He was nervous about losing and understand that.

Black voter turnout.

Is important.

So if you close down the most popular.

The most.

Traffic field voter site.

You might stand a chance, you know, to turn people from voting.

And I'm not saying that

Maybe Shannon

people know, you know how people is if they go one time, they a lot of times they ain't going again.

It's like, you know what?

I tried.

I'm out.

Come on,

man.

So now to think that the site has now changed again for those folks that may be still thinking like, oh, I'm going to midtown, but it's moving all over midtown.

And I just think that's where all of that started from.

I think something was up with that election when Tom Barrett was running for reelection.

And I just think they was trying to hate on Lena Taylor.

That's just, that's just me, man.

I think they did such a, ooh, they did Lena so cold.

So cold with how they, I watched folks tear this black woman down.

Somebody that we know.

You can say what you want about Lena, but you knew she was fighting on behalf of the people.

Call me up if I'm misspeaking She was the one person that didn't give it a heck She didn't give a heck About feelings She put the people first every time man, and that's what I miss in our politics and she was unapologetic about it Sure, was she a little scared to say at all

And then I think Lena also understood that she was smarter than a lot of these dudes that was trying to be littler.

So she was like,

Maybe Shannon

you know, but that's the thing.

They be mad about that.

Don't be smarter than them, too.

Yeah.

So that's just that's just my thoughts, man.

But pay attention, y'all.

Pay attention.

We had 18 years of time, maybe even 20.

I feel like it was 18.

But we continue to vote and continue to vote and continue to vote for somebody that we saw our community deteriorate under its leadership.

And I'm not here knocking the person.

I. Not here knocking the person, but I'm just saying, hey, look at look at the outcomes of the policies in our community.

How did they help shape it?

Like no, we were always told just just be patient north side The development will come just be patient north side.

It will come Senate Street.

Just hold on Berla.

Hold on Hadley.

Hold on.

Hold on.

I've just had I've just had I Like you asking me to do stuff.

I have just had I So yeah, man, that's just um, that's just my thoughts man, but we gonna

Push it along, Shannon.

It's time to get into some meat and potatoes.

Maybe Shannon

3D printed meat.

Straight up.

Maybe Shannon

Printed.

Food conversation in Vienna, Austria.

You can walk into a grocery store right now and buy a salmon fillet that never swam.

It was printed layer by layer.

Out of mushroom roots.

The company is Revvo Food founded in 2020 in a pandemic, ironically.

Their filet called The Filet.

Yeah, no effort in that at all.

It's

Maybe Shannon

a filet.

Ain't no filet.

That is wood.

Launched in September 2023, the first 3D printed food ever sold in grocery stores.

It's micro protein.

Protein from mushroom roots.

Plus plant oils and algae based omega threes.

No antibiotics, no micro plastics, no heavy metals.

And the breakthrough is the printer, a multi nozzle system that prints the protein fibers and the white fat strips.

This is crazy that marbling.

Right into the filet.

How it's sold at.

Rui, we spar and billi stores across Austria and in 20 plus markets, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Revo built the world's largest 3D food print facility in Vienna and it's partnered with Juicy Marbles to bring cod alternatives to the United States.

The reasoning, a third of the world's wild fish stocks are over exploited and their filet uses 95 percent less water than 77 percent less carbon.

And at 30% less the cost.

It's always about the cost.

That's what it is.

Like, let's be honest.

It's about the cost.

And Sam is just the door.

Printed bacon, Shannon.

You want to strip of that pig?

Pig back?

Maybe Shannon

Yeah, they're using pig hoofs for that.

Like, we don't blend this down in a printed.

Straight up.

Spanish company Cucuz is on shelves at...

Career food Revvo printed vegan octopus the they call that one the cracking sold out in 48 hours printed nutrient gummies are in 90 co-op stores in the UK and and an Israeli company Stakeholder Foods is printing with real fish sales grouper eel shrimp The question that we land on the table today if it tastes like salmon

And it costs less than salmon.

Does it matter that it never swam?

Call us up.

Do you want your food to have at least been alive,

Maybe Shannon

Shannon?

I feel like maybe the vegans want it.

Yeah, I don't know because it sounds like they're using a bunch of random stuff blending it up and then having a computer print it out and I heard that like it's not even Something that they have to tell us is happening.

So like will it be passed off as real fish and we just don't know I Don't know.

I doubt that I would eat it and think this tastes just like fish.

I think I would think I would know the difference Maybe that's a vegan option, but I don't want

it

Call us up, y'all.

833-212-1017.

Are you into are you eating 3D printed food?

Do you want your meat 3D printed?

That's what we want to know.

When we come back, y'all.

When we come back.

We're going.

to get into patented.

All right.

The other half genetically modified foods and who owns it?

How do you colonize seeds?

And everything else.

Don't go anywhere, y'all.

When we get back, we'll get right back into this question on your favorite show, the lunch break show right here on the award winner one on one, seven to true.

Pull up a chair.

The lunch break with Rayoniddy and maybe Shannon continues in just a moment on the award-winning 1017 The Truth.

You're listening to The Lunch Break with Rayoniddy and maybe Shannon where every discussion is on the menu on the award-winning 1017 The

Truth.

You still sign the so-and-so now, that's an afterthought Can't stop, won't stop, dropped in after I caught Fire been applying all my teachers and crafting art Had to get up people, everything they was asking for Heating up, chain my name, then heat wave I don't write bars, I meditate, wanna be plain Thinking bout the issues that I've been through, it's on the replay Gotta do my thing for my son, what I'm on these days Painting a picture on my 16th Chapel issues Things I think of, you couldn't grapple with When I wrote

All right, that's all that's on the menu for him today, Shannon.

That was our Wave Chappelle, man.

Make sure y'all go check out Wave Chappelle, new project.

Just dropped that midnight.

Do people say midnight last night or would you say midnight this morning?

It's kind of like, you know.

Maybe Shannon

What do you mean?

So he dropped it.

Well,

Maybe Shannon

technically, it's the morning.

Yeah, that's what I'm asking.

So it's

Maybe Shannon

like.

So I guess he dropped it at midnight today.

So make sure y'all go check that out, man.

New Wave, Chappelle.

Just dropped, man.

Super, super dope artist from the city.

What's the name of the album again, brother Z?

Infinity.

Infinity.

Make sure y'all go check that out, man.

Ah, Shannon.

What we got, man?

We just going to chop our chops.

I ain't eating no 3D meat.

I

Maybe Shannon

know that.

That's what

Maybe Shannon

I got.

Priority you know what probably because we wouldn't even know they don't even have to say it Somebody said printed me is basically a mix of this and a mix of that so it tastes authentic You ever get juice that says 100% but then you look on the back and it says 10%

juice.

That's crazy Like

Maybe Shannon

a lot like

how are you able to do

Maybe Shannon

that to

me?

Maybe Shannon

Yeah?

So,

you

Maybe Shannon

know what's crazy

is a while ago.

Maybe Shannon

I saw Yeah, I love it look blizzy

My God, what's the difference between a hot dog and 3D printed me?

Maybe Shannon

Man, at least

a hot dog is like all the worst parts of everything just mushed together.

Like it'd be all.

So basically.

Like it'll

Maybe Shannon

be hot dog.

Basically, essentially,

Maybe Shannon

it just be shaped

different.

Pretty much a mock chicken leg.

But then, like, I guess the 3D

Maybe Shannon

printer.

Who said that?

I guess

Maybe Shannon

the 3D printer makes it look better.

Yeah,

I'm sorry.

I'm not eating no food.

That was pretty.

And I ain't going to lie.

I'll tell a hot dog, but.

I do understand that

these hot

dogs are made by, like, it's not valid, man.

It's like pig hoofs.

It's all the worst parts.

That's a whole nother question, too.

We have to, as a black community, and y'all not going to like me for this one.

We have to stop eating like slaves, man.

Leave the chitlins alone.

They're free.

Maybe Shannon

Hey, I knew that's

where you were going.

Leave me

Maybe Shannon

alone.

We don't have to eat that no more,

Maybe Shannon

Shannon.

See Ray you got too many rules over there you talking

about

Maybe Shannon

and then I can't Scram I can't have my chitlins.

I can't have a mock chicken leg.

I can't

even have a But we don't need to be eating gizzards and Chicken lungs

Maybe Shannon

like Hawkeye cheese.

I like I like it all

All

right.

You got to chill, dawg.

Maybe Shannon

I like chitlins.

Why do we eat that?

Like, in freak.

Now, some people will say we're still in slaves.

Because it's good.

So you know what?

I get it.

I get it.

Some of us are still mentally enslaved, so we eat these things.

I get it.

But we don't got to eat.

So I eat that because it's good.

We don't got to eat pig doo-doo, dawg.

We don't got to do that, Shannon.

You don't got to do that, Shannon.

Oh, that was

Maybe Shannon

good.

Listen.

Maybe Shannon

Our ancestors do do tracks came up with a spectacular recipe for the worst things they were given.

And it ain't

my fault that

Maybe Shannon

it still tastes yummy to this day.

Hundred percent.

We was given and made a delicacy.

But we don't have to eat that.

And I'm going to eat it.

You can actually.

You can have a steak.

This is not against my will.

You can have a steak.

You can have a burger.

You can have like so many different

Maybe Shannon

burgers.

But

you want to

Maybe Shannon

have chitlins as a delicacy.

What is it?

What is my answer?

What is our obsession with the worst parts?

Now, this is what I will say.

They did say the ox tail is something they used to discard.

But to me, the ox tail.

No, no

Maybe Shannon

slave food.

All right.

Despite the story, I genuinely do enjoy eating it.

It's not like I'm like, well, I gotta

eat it.

No.

Did you talk about chitlins?

No, I understand that people have like formed a liking to it.

I don't think people just genuinely like, I'm like, yo, nah, this was handed down to us, man.

That chitlin stuff that was taught like it was straight out of survival.

So it's like.

We don't have to, we don't have to do that no more.

But it's yummy.

We could get a drumstick.

It was out of

Maybe Shannon

survival.

It was made into a good recipe.

And if you like it, you like it.

Because they wouldn't

give us real food.

It's not like we just

Maybe Shannon

gotta eat this.

It

was like we figured

Maybe Shannon

out like most people you figured out how to make something good I think most in any situation.

That's how food evolved people How do you think milk came about you think they was like hmm?

I'm just finna.

Well, they probably did I feel like a lot of milk and food came from Surviving people trying to figure out how do we make this work?

Man,

I

Maybe Shannon

feel like Chilean

was made

Maybe Shannon

to work and it actually is good.

And it served its purpose.

We need to let it go, like dial up internet folks.

Like, no, bro.

Maybe Shannon

Why do we have to let it go?

Because why do we need it?

Why do we need to eat the doodle track of, like, that's crazy.

And then people don't even clean it, right?

And then they.

Putting parsley on it.

It's just nice.

It's certain

Maybe Shannon

things.

It's certain things people don't do right, but when it's done right, it's good.

People can say that about every type of food.

Well, that ain't meant to be eaten, especially vegetarians about

meat.

That ain't meant to be

Maybe Shannon

eaten.

People don't

Maybe Shannon

drink milk.

Most people are lactose intolerant.

Let me just fix you some straight jerk doo-doo and just...

Not even it you

Maybe Shannon

put some jerk on some chitlins.

No,

no, no, no.

No, no, no.

We skipping the chitlins.

Don't get me going.

Because all chitlins is is the casings for doodoo, a doodoo glizzy.

So let me just put the doodoo on your plate and you just eat that, Shannon.

That's cool.

Maybe Shannon

It's a different texture.

No, thank you.

So you don't want the doodoo

Maybe Shannon

mash.

Talking about, OK, but you can eat ox tail.

Well, that's like me.

Let me give

you some ox tail.

Ox tail is delicious.

It's got nowhere in there.

Maybe Shannon

Exactly.

Chitlins is

delicious.

Really?

Oxtails don't stink.

Maybe Shannon

It's delicious to me.

They don't stink after they clean properly.

Fellas.

Like, come on, man.

We have to.

We have to.

All right.

If we got to let the n-word go, we got to let chitlins go too, man.

We have to.

What?

We got to, dawg.

Chitlins is like... Don't let

Maybe Shannon

these people bully y'all out of what y'all want to eat.

Man, Pully.

And I'm gonna be honest with you.

I didn't even hear about Chitlins until I got to this country.

And then once I realized what it was, I'm like, absolutely not.

My mama tried to bring that one Thanksgiving, and I'm like, what?

The hell is that smell?

Wait, where did she get it from?

Somebody, you know how somebody sent her a bowl of it and then she heated that up in the microwave and I'm like, oh no.

Maybe Shannon

No.

That ain't something you get to nobody, especially

if they don't know what it is.

So you don't want to eat nobody else chilling, Shannon?

Maybe Shannon

No, because I don't know how they cleanin' them.

I

Maybe Shannon

don't eat a lot of people food.

You ain't gonna see me eat much at a potluck.

I don't care what it is.

Hmm.

Shannon.

Y'all be sitting here letting Shannon play in y'all face.

Shannon gonna be fellas for the love of Shannon, cook her a pot of chitlins.

She gonna be in your face with that chitlin' breath.

Maybe Shannon

Extra high spots.

Oh, man, I don't know what else to say, man.

It's been an interesting day.

Make sure y'all go out and vote, man.

Go vote early.

You know what to do.

You know what to do.

You know what to do.

Let's make history.

Let's make history, y'all.

What is my quote before we get about it?

Did they give me a quote?

They didn't give me a quote.

Oh, yes, they did.

And it's from George Washington Carver.

I love to think of nature as an

unlimited broadcasting station through which God speaks to us every hour if we will only tune in.

That's it.

Shannon, take us home.

Maybe Shannon

Man, make sure you follow your host, Ray Nitty, and maybe Shannon.

And don't go anywhere.

We got Aunt Viv.

Look, I got that from Ray.

Viv's view up next.

Don't go anywhere, y'all.
