Jim meets with winners and runner ups from the 2024 WBA Volunteer Awards.

Director of Donor Engagement & Marketing Kari Moody from Curative Connections joins Jim this afternoon discussing the needs and accomplishments of this program. Celebrating their 75th anniversary, starting out as a polio clinic. Whatever the community has needed, curative pivoted to become what they needed. Curative Connections has been here to help through use of 4 Facilities, 15 programs and support up to 1550 families, seniors and people a week with life skills, employments, adult daycares (social rec), and work with brain rehab, wellness, and dementia through their programs.

Laundry Love with Helping Hands started 20 years ago in California when a member came upon a homeless person and asked what can they do to help. They said "Give me dignity." But how could someone do that? They said "Give me clean clothes, so I'm not stereotyped when I walk into any business".

What do they do? It's as simple as providing the money and the soap to do laundry" Says Director Jean VandenLangenberg.

Laundry Love currently holds three events per month at Express Laundry Center, 1742 E. Mason St. in Green Bay. bringing such a simple thing as clean laundry can make such an amazing difference in families lives. A clean place to sleep and giving people a piece of humanity back.

Dive into the heart of community issues with 'Lean Local,' hosted by former Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt. This refreshing political and issues program bypasses traditional left-versus-right rhetoric. Instead, it 'leans local' with insightful discussions and grassroots solutions, focusing on what truly matters in our neighborhoods and communities.
