I know I was loading up the beer van yesterday and I got one that flew under my armpit and I closed my arm.
I didn't know it was there and I got the double sting.

That's the thing about those fans is they really yabber when things are good, but they do get really quiet when things are not good.

I think Wisconsinites, you know, Packers, Brewers, fans, we're still mouthy no matter what.

Well, I'm very excited.
I'm heading down to Volksfest tonight.
That's a big thing.

So upon Volksfest, the People's Fest, Copper Box goes on tonight.
I think I don't know if I'm going to be able to stay or not for Copper Box, but I'm going to try to get there early.
They've got the good time Dutchman, and then they have a fish fry tonight.
And then they've got a full lineup tomorrow, too, with two-fifths party band, and then poke us all day.
All day and all night tonight.
And then, uh, I think the steinholding contest is tonight.
They've got a stump fiddle contest.
You ever seen a stump fiddle or been to one of those, you
know, years ago, my dad was in one and a couple of friends of ours at Jeff's on the square in Berlin.
Oh, sure.
Yeah.
My dad, you know, some of those, if you get, I mean.
I don't know if there's such thing as a high quality stump fiddle.
But some of the sticks that they come with are made out of fiberglass.
And he was having a few, you know,
as well, usually if you're in the stump fiddle contest.
That means you had a
few.
And the fiberglass from hitting the bell
and
everything started, it all got in his hands
and he didn't
realize it till the next morning.
He's like, what the heck?
Yeah.
But yeah, so you gotta watch that.

yeah i've done some solo performances too for our october fest um but never been in a contest
so did you have to sign autographs after you were done or
um i well you know it's funny i had had a few and and uh billy hutton um in ripping here
you know Billy probably he's got the old classic cars good guy yeah good guy he brought the stump fiddle and by that time I was feeling good and nobody was doing it so I he volunteered me and then you were
like the first guy up at the karaoke
yeah he took a picture of it and gave it to me the next year like he blew it up like a giant like 24 by 36 or whatever nice yeah it was a good time
It's just the best time of year, Volksfest this weekend, and then we're planning for Oktoberfest.
I mean, it's only a few weeks away.
First Saturday of October, the third, yeah.
Full swing, yeah.

The Steins came out this week, our annual Steins.
We get from Sunset Hill up in Nina.
Handmade.
Yeah, handmade, hand-painted.
The red, white, and blue clay.
And then we've got a picture.
My mother-in-law did the artwork.
She drew a flag with our logo.
for 250 year anniversary of this great nation.
So we have 250 Steins for 250 years.
That's
crazy.

I'm sure they're a little more.
They're a little more, but they are handmade and they do come.
You get a free fill up when you pick it up.
And then if you bring it back for Oktoberfest, you get a free fill
