It's been a while.
It has been a while, not necessarily for the interviews,
but for the,
for the ice cold beer, yeah.
We can finally put the shaking to rest, right?

for the carbon monoxide here,
getting dizzy and faint and glazy eyes.
Well, you picked a good week to do it too,
because we just bottled and kegged our first fresh batch
of Heffa Wiesen for the season.
Ah, yeah.
So, so how long will you make this now?
All through the sun.
We'll keep this running through all the way through the fall.

I always have the best luck with when it comes to,
when you get the brewing done.

That has been a long time.

So, did you have a good Easter?
I did.
I had a great Easter.
Easter is one of those days, you know, as a kid,
it was always like a big day in my family
for growing up.
And so this year, it's all like, I don't know.
It was just really nice to have it.
I don't know.
I don't know why, but it was just,
it feels extra special this year.
It was a nice day too.
Sometimes it's, you know, I'm not a big fan of spring
just because of the mud, the rain, you know,
or, you know, weather that's unpredictable.
But, you know, Easter, this year was nice.
It is.
It was a little cool out, but it was.
But the sunshine, I think that's maybe what it was is,
I feel like last week, like,
and even earlier, like, this, the absence of sun is,
it's getting everybody a little,
like, getting shaky over here, you know, like, yeah.
So I'm not the only one.
No, no, I'm the, and I, I was telling somebody
this the other day, I, I'm one, I actually,
like, I enjoy the winter, I don't complain about it,
but like, I'm ready now.
Like, like, let's, let's bring on some sunshine,
some, you know, I want to see the magnolia's blooming.
That's right, you know, I made it 49 or 50 days
without a drive.
Yeah.
And I was starting to get, you know,
they say, like, oh, you're craving start to subside
after a week or two, that's not true.
Sure.
Not for me anyway.
No.
I got done.
I did one pass on the yard, you know,
a couple of weekends ago.
And I'm just like, man, I could go for an ice cold beer.
You need that lawnmower beer.
The lawnmower beer.
Yeah.
And then, you know, in spring, I'm right along 45.
There's cans and bags that I couldn't believe
the amount of little vodka and whiskey bottles
that are whipped out of the cars.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm going there not on bicycles, but maybe some.
I took a ride on Wednesday too.
After I got done bottling, I rode my bike,
or no, I went for a run down the Northwestern Trail
behind the library and I went all the way out,
like, out to the China one place.
Sure.
And yeah, just like the amount of garbage.
Unbelievable.
It's crazy.
I came flying into the parking lot here
on Radio Road earlier in the week.
I think it's still out there.
There's a bush light can, or maybe the wind
took care of it the other day.
But I'm like, that's fitting for us out here.
Yeah.
But I think it happens, unfortunately,
more than you think.
It's the way it goes, I guess.
It's the way the cookie crumbles.
But it was nice.
We had a good Easter, had some good buffet
and came home, had a few drinks.
And then it's amazing how much better your sleep is
when you're not sipping a few.
Even after a couple, you just don't get that
really rock solid sleep.
You're getting the deep sleep now, huh?
All right, good.
Yeah, we smoked a ham.
Well, my father-in-law did.
It was fantastic.
Got it from Leroy Neats here in town.
Great, great stuff.
Did he use that, or that's your big old pit, right?
Don't you have like a big barrel?
Yeah, I do, but we went to their house.
So he has a pellet smoker, which, you know,
set it and forget it.
Sure.
I'm starting to get really hooked on ours.
Yeah.
We've got one.
Diana smoker, I think it is, but at first,
I didn't know if I really liked it
and the more you do it, the better it is.
Really?
Yep.
All right.
So, but then I do like the old-fashioned way of sleeping.
So I'm still holding out.
I'm sticking to the charcoal.
I think you'd like it.
Well, charcoal's good, yeah.
I mean, they all have their unique flavors.
Right.
Kind of what you're in the mood for.
It does, yeah.
So at the end of the day, it's still smoked meat.
Right.
So now, every day I go by, I drop stuff in the mail
on the one-way past your place there.
And I see people at the bar all the time.
Things are going good, huh?
It's going great.
Yeah, we've been busy.
Lots of stuff going on, too.
We got Andy Brown live music tomorrow.
We have the family, old-fashioned family fish fry
with our buddy Ed from the Moussen next Friday.

And then, of course, it's the brew master's week.
Yeah, that's great.
The week we've been all been waiting for.

The wait is finally over.
It's the brew master's week coming to you
from Downtown Rippin at Knuth Brewing Company,
a tradition unlike any other.

Oh, sure.
And then you get Harry Connick Jr. singing the song
in the commercial, like when it comes back from commercial break.
So are you doing that Saturday or something?
So this year, so last year was the first annual brew master's.
And what it is, it's a four-hole putting contest, free to play.
And this year, we're doing a little differently.
So today, actually, is the practice round.
Of course, opens at four o'clock, so you can come.
You can put around.
You can get a lay for the course.
Fans can come, walk with the players, sign autographs, the whole thing.
And this is a two-day event.
Two-day event.
Two-day event.
So it starts tonight at four o'clock.
We'll have a whole and one putting contest tonight, probably around five, I think.
So there'll be some money on the line for that gift card.
And then Saturday is, of course, the big day.
So that'll tee off at one o'clock.
But we're limited to 50 players.
That's all we have room for.
So if you want to play, you can call and sign up.
You can get your name in there, or you can stop in tonight.
And I would say maybe show up around noon tomorrow, just still.
And it's supposed to be pretty decent tomorrow.
Whether it's supposed to be pretty good.
Yeah, so we're crossing our fingers.
And there's still spaces available?
