I mean, there's just endless amounts of stuff that we could get to today.

I'm worried about you on the weekends.

I never hear from you.

I know you're busy doing a million different things.

I had a fairly good weekend, but I made a big mistake.

What happened?

I got a flu shot and a COVID shot the same time.

I

told you on

Friday not to do it.

But I don't listen to you.

Why would I take his

advice?

It's a double whammy

with a flu shot.

And I

felt,

you know what, let's see, when was it?

Did I get it?

Saturday?

Yeah.

And I felt fine Saturday night.

I thought, well, this is no big deal.

Oh, yeah.

Yeah, I woke up yesterday.

Oh, man.

I know.

I felt awful all day.

Yeah.

I was a little dizzy.

I was achy.

All my joints ached.

Yeah, I felt like I was like, oh, everything was stiff.

It's a killer.

I'm relaxed.

I'm surprised you're here today.

Yeah.

Well, I thought about taking the day off, but I woke up this morning.

I felt fine.

So it was just a one day thing.

And it wasn't, you know, I.

It wasn't awful, but I just really didn't feel good.

See,

when you're older, they give you a double flu shot.

Yes, that's no

single.

And

if you get that with the COVID, then your body really, really overreacts the...

and it's a killer, man.

I mean, you feel really bad the next day.

Well, I

asked the pharmacist before that.

You know, I was at Walgreens.

I asked the pharmacist.

Oh, that's a no big deal.

Oh, yeah, you'll be fine.

We got it.

Yeah, well, you're not going to die.

Might as well do it.

You're going to feel

horrible.

You know, I got the shots, and the second one was the flu shot, and it did go in a little bit.

You know, it was a little bit more intense, but it was still, I'm like, oh, I'm fine.

And then, you know, I tried to be...

Mr. Jovial funny guy, like, well, do I get a piece of candy or anything?

She just looked at me like, no, you don't.

I said, do you do that with kids?

No, they, Walgreens made us stop doing that with the kids.

I'm like, wow.

She said, it's a choking hazard.

Choking

hazard.

Can you imagine that banning?

Popsicles.

Yeah, a little, you know, yeah.

Lollipops.

Lollipop or a little peppermint candy.

Anything to put in their mouth.

Ban them all.

Yeah, I guess so.

Wow.

But today I feel fit is a fiddle.

If a fiddle feels fit, that's what I feel

like.

Pretty good.

One of my friends from out of town, who was one of my roommates in college, visited.

We didn't do a whole lot besides watch the Packers Bears game, which we all know how that turned out.

What a waste of time.

It was an

exciting

game.

It was.

It was very back and forth.

Really, the first three quarters, they thought, well, Packers got this, and apparently that's what they thought.

They thought, well, why should we play even the rest of the game?

Let's just call it a game now.

I kind

of didn't watch the Packers after the halftime.

Really?

And I know it was like three and out, three and out, three and out, three and out, right?

Well, then the fourth quarter rolled around.

That's where it all fell apart and the Bears decided it

worse than three and out three and out three out three now Wow, I mean that that's what happened the Bears were 18 points down and told me that they started running more in the second half in order to just keep going keep You know working that running game.

Yeah, and it didn't work.

Obviously it didn't

work

and And it's you know, it's so it's so fortunate that I

Decided to pick up my laptop and start doing a little show prep for this week.

Yeah while the Packer game was going on I thought I was just gonna sit there and veg out watch the Packers and

just be

entertained right yeah, and I thought you know I'm just gonna hedge my bets on this I think I'll do a little show prep and And I'm really glad I did because it was a total waste of time

Well, now the Bears move on, you know, and they think they, who do they take on, the Rams?

I don't know.

Yeah, you don't care anymore.

I care.

But I do want to see them win.

Yeah, I do too.

I mean, that's, but true Packer fans are, oh no, we hate the Bears.

Okay, well, why not root them on a little bit?

I mean, they beat us, okay.

They made us.

Yeah, so wouldn't you rather see them do well now or no?

Well, that's

a

lot of people don't they just hate the Bears and I get that but

well, you know

But I'm rooting for them in the past

division.

I've had to call her the Bear fan from hell I used to call him and he'd call me all the time

And it was a nice rivalry between the both of us.

He called a show and he just lay into me about the Packers.

Well, didn't he call a couple of months ago here?

He did, actually.

And it's just, hey, I'm happy for you, man.

Big

You had a great season, I think.

And the team is young and it's really intense.

You know,

He was really having a problem though, the first half.

I mean, they kept taking shots of him and he was just beating himself up and angry at himself.

And, you know, but then he, he got out of it.

You know, he got out of that mindset.

It's a

lesson for young

kids to start it

happening.

Because if you swear a lot on the sidelines, you'll get better throughout the game.

So you're encouraging more swearing

by the

kids.

That's what I would

say

if I had kids and softball or something like that or soccer, I'd be on the sidelines.

Don't forget to swear.

Teach the other kids some new vocabulary.

And I went up with him and we bought tickets and.

I mean, what a way to get into Lambeau Field.

And you can do it.

the way to do it.

Now, some people go through these ticket outlets now.

I will not do that, but it's still pretty expensive on those outlets.

But whatever you do, you can hang out outside.

There's somebody out there with three or four tickets, and you can get a pretty good deal.

So take a chance.

I wouldn't know what it's like for the playoffs, so

it might be a little different.

But now that they're out of the playoffs, we don't even have to think about it.

Now it's just a nice ride up to Door County.

Trump said on Sunday that he is inclined to keep ExxonMobil out of Venezuela after.

after its top executive was a little skeptical about investing all that money.

back into Venezuela again.

Was

that

the executive that said, well, we've already lost our asses two or three times

to Venezuela?

That's the guy.

Why don't we listen to him?

This is his comment.

With respect to Venezuela in particular, we have a very long history in Venezuela.

In fact, we first got into Venezuela back in 1940s.

We've had our assets seized there twice.

And so you can imagine to re-enter a third time would require some pretty significant changes from what we've historically seen here and what is currently the state.

If we look at the legal and commercial constructs and frameworks in place today in Venezuela, today it's uninvestable.

And so significant changes have to be made to those commercial frameworks, the legal system.

There has to be durable investment protections and there has to be a change to the hydrocarbon laws in the country.

I have an idea what I want, what I think we should have.

We have to get them to invest and then we have to get their money back as quickly as we can and then we can divvy it all up between Venezuela and the United States and them.

At the card table.

I think it's simple.

I think the formula is simple.

We start with a brand new plate and it's going to be a tremendous success.

I think it's going to be probably like few other things could ever be.

Oh, man.

We get a lot of wishful thinking there.

I'm thinking, you know, first of all, he had no idea, no plan whatsoever to go in.

And he lied about all the people he told ahead of time that they were going to go into Venezuela.

They didn't tell the oil companies.

And now they're kind of sitting there thinking, well, do we want to invest billions of dollars?

and start work there and then have Venezuela say, nah, you can't be here anymore.

So this was the dumbest.

really one of the dumbest things that he has done so far and he thinks he's a brilliant strategist well you know what these guys are gonna invest billions of dollars in any of that you can promise all the taxpayer money you want to bail these guys out

once they

spend that billion dollars but it ain't gonna work hmm

I mean, I have given up.

No one's keeping to tell you how much this administration is spending, just overspending on everything they're doing.

I think they sent 50 more people on top of the 1,000 already in Minneapolis to take care of what problem they think is up there.

This isn't good.

This isn't going to cover up the Renee Nicole Good fiasco that they have started.

And they continue to perpetuate.

Well, we

should mention though, you know, there were over 500 events nationwide, vigils and protests about the shooting of Renee Good, and we went to the one here in Madison Friday evening.

And it was well attended I gotta say There was a big big crowd on the Capitol Square.

Oh, yeah, and So there were 500 events nationwide Yesterday over 1200 over the weekend altogether nationwide.

Yeah, so yeah big reaction and

We've got a picture up at the Facebook site where we attended and we were holding candles.

They were passing out candles for the event.

And it

was more of a vigil

in a memorial than a

protest of ice, but there was certainly a lot of

science.

Huge crowd.

Yeah.

So,

yeah.

Now, let's get to some health care stuff here because this is really important.

I want you to listen to this because this is what RFK Junior is doing to our country.

When you hear this audio, it sounds very solid.

Like somebody's got evidence here, it's right out in the money.

It is not.

I'm gonna tip my hand on this.

So don't believe anything that is said in this, but it is interesting to hear how they're presenting facts that aren't facts.

Now we're talking about the flu shot.

The vaccine.

Let's listen.

Fewer people will get the flu vaccine.

Well, that may be and maybe that's a better thing.

Based on what evidence there are 280, 290 kids who died last year due to the flu.

There's no evidence that any kids died or were harmed due to the flu vaccine.

So isn't this inevitably going to lead to more children dying?

A Cochran collaboration, which is kind of one of the ultimate arbiters of.

vaccine safety and clinical data has done an extensive meta review of the flu vaccine.

And they found that there is no evidence that the flu vaccine prevents serious disease or that it prevents

hospitalizations or

death

in

children.

There's no scientific evidence.

And

what we try

to

do

is to follow the science.

90% of the kids who died from flu last year were unvaccinated for the flu.

What I'm

telling you is that

there is no scientific evidence according to the Cochrane collaboration, which is the better view of all the scientific studies out there.

There is no scientific evidence that the flu vaccine prevented serious illness, hospitalizations, or death in children.

I'm sorry, he's wrong.

You know, it sounds like he knows what he's talking about, the Cochran collaborator.

This is not actually what was in the report.

According to the Cochran collaboration, they found that flu vaccines cut lab-confirmed cases of flu in kids ages two to 16 from 30% to 11%, just 11%.

we're still susceptible to the flu.

And that's because of the variations in the flu virus.

So

he lied.

He lied about what his proof is a lie.

And I just want to play this other cut now.

This is a cut 180.

And this is something that also sounds factual, but it ain't.

them colleagues they looked at 2024 to 2025 flu vaccine efficacy and they got 50,000 Cleveland Clinic employees and they followed them for a few months about 80% got the flu shot that season's flu shot 20% didn't but the 80% that got a flu shot suffered 27% higher risk of developing the flu during flu season

So instead of not only failing and not working, it was increasing the risk of flu, doing the complete opposite of what it's supposed to do.

Wow, 27% increased

risk

of getting the flu if you get the shot.

Isn't it mind-blowing that that's not a headline across every major news, you know, agency?

There's a reason why.

Yeah,

this should be everywhere, absolutely everywhere, but instead what we see on the mainstream media is go get your flu shot.

You need your flu shot.

It's the only way you can protect yourself against flu, but that's all BS.

No, it's not BS.

Okay, so epidemiologist Nicholas Holscher posted this critique from that video.

A group of Cleveland Clinic, they did find the 27% higher flu rates.

They did find that.

But now that sound damning enough until you learn that the vaccinated employees were also tested at 27% higher rates than everybody else.

Other people weren't tested again.

Just

the people who were sick.

Oh my gosh.

Anyway, it upends just what that guy was saying.

It shows when you correct the statistics for bias, it's outrageously obvious that he was obviously lying at this point.

Because the vaccination rate, what happens is you look at the 20% higher rate of flu, right?

And then you...

find out that they were tested 27% more times.

And then you kind of mathematically figure that out.

And what it comes down to is 20% lower flu rates for those people vaccinated.

So, okay, that's what I was trying to say there.

Okay, good deal.

Yeah, so the negative effectiveness is an artifact of who got swapped, not who got sick.

And, you know, this is the kind of crap that we will be seeing for the next three years.

And I don't

know how anybody's gonna survive this.

Like, every time they make these ridiculous pronouncements, RFK Jr.

He's always saying that they want to bring Trust back to public health.

They want

people to believe in public health again.

This is obviously doing exactly the wrong thing, right?

All right.

Now here's another thing

Children's hospitals, Children's Wisconsin and UW Children's Hospital, two of the state's largest pediatric hospitals, have paused gender-affirming care treatments for minors.

The move comes less than a month after...

RFK Jr.

announced newly proposed rules that the federal government would deny Medicaid and Medicare payments to hospitals and clinics for all medical interventions if they provide gender-affirming care for patients 17 and under.

Now this goes in with January 18th, so that's why these hospitals got ahead of the game here so they didn't have any of this care or treatment.

at Children's Wisconsin and the UW Children's Hospital as well.

Such a move basically that RFK Junior is proposing here would move virtually all funding away from these hospitals and clinics.

They would essentially shut down.

Oh man.

So this is a huge threat.

Right.

You think that this would be something up

to the parents again they want to protect the kids they don't care about the damn parents helping their own children so they're telling the parents what to do telling them how to take care of their child and their child now cannot get this gender-affirming care uh in midstream i mean what if they're already getting treatment right yeah exactly what are they supposed to

do then

they can't do anything all right

And I think the repercussions just from that alone is something you should say, well, okay, you know, maybe we gotta kind of put this on hold or give it a certain time period to wean ourselves off of this, right?

Maybe give it a couple years, but everything is immediate with these people, you know?

It's not good.

Yeah.

It's like they think they're gonna forget that they put these rules in place.

But this kind of...

ties in with, I think there's an executive order that Trump wrote up that essentially provides the same information that you can't provide this care to children.

And it just seems really truly unfair to them.

Do we have a story about dr. Oz is that what we do coming up?

We don't have the right to health.

Yes Basically, well, I mean that's kind of the headline I get

there that is the actual headline, but you might remember that Ron Johnson yeah once said That it's a privilege to have health care, right

not a right.

Which is draw dropping all by itself.

So why don't we get to Dr. Oz, it's cut 179 and he, wow.

You know what?

Let's listen to the cut.

It's breathtaking.

Okay.

Now, when you go home today, what should you do?

I think you ought to think about 15 minute physicals.

Your local hospitals will fund these.

They're incredibly inexpensive to run.

You can screen thousands of people for almost nothing, and you allow a conversation to take place in more of a festival-like setting.

It's not scary.

And I mentioned earlier that almost everybody who comes to our 50-minute physicals has a job, but a lot don't have insurance.

Give them a way of crawling back out of the abyss of darkness of fear over not having the health they need, and give them an opportunity because they don't have the right to health, but they have the right to access, a chance to get that health.

There you go That

doesn't even make sense.

It's time to take out the insurance companies, get rid of the system we have right now, have universal health care across our land, and be free.

What about people who do not have medical knowledge?

Health insurance companies know that 5% of their members account for 50% of all the cost.

So I have this huge financial incentive to make their lives as difficult as possible.

A lot of people don't know that they even can't appeal.

So you're saying that it's not really the denial that ends up...

people from getting care.

It's that the people give up.

Doctor Elizabeth Potter is a surgeon who sees as many as 60 patients with breast cancer each week.

She says insurance denials actually add to cause.

I have two employees who spend almost all day navigating insurance.

Clearly it does pay to appeal, but some patients like Doctor Dan Hurley fighting an aggressive cancer run out of time.

Much of his last months were spent, says his wife, on the phone with insurance company personnel.

He

would go line by line with them and they'd say, OK, yeah, we need to get a supervisor involved.

And then they don't.

Dan's goal, she says, was to see insurance companies held to a standard.
