The John and Gordy morning show spent the first segment explaining all the different ways you can trap mice in your house. John has a special way he does it, and Gordy doesn't agree! Then on their "Idiocracy" discussion, the covered several political and economic stories. The most prominent and confusing announcement was President Donald Trump's proposal of a $2,000 tariff stimulus check for every American, which was immediately walked back by his Treasury Secretary who clarified it meant various tax cuts and deductions.

They also discussed the need to resist cuts to the SNAP (food stamps) program, which they noted is part of the Project 2025 plan. John pointed out that the majority of SNAP recipients work, the program has the lowest fraud rate, and every dollar generates a significant amount of economic activity.
