Dr. Mary Waldon, who John insists on calling "Dr. Waldon," is welcomed to the morning show. She is a professional in psychology and a long-time friend of Kathryns. She and JAG discuss how the difficulty in maintaining focus is severely compounded by technology, as people are constantly checking their cell phones in an almost addictive effort to "soothe" themselves when they feel unsettled or anxious. Mindfulness helps a person tune into that inner rise of feeling dysregulated before reaching for something external, like a phone, to settle it.
