Vitestnik Power Sports Highway 14, Richland Center.
Your satisfaction is our priority.
It's what we
do.
Jamie Gander, I guess as we lead toward game time, Richland center and Adam's friendship here tonight.
Uh, again, Kyrie Fisher outstanding effort, 24 strikeouts.
I don't know if you've checked into that, but that's got to be close to a record.
I would
say it.
Yeah.
They're saying it's a state record.
I
haven't personally looked.
I heard had someone telling me they thought they seen someone might've had 28.
So we'll have to look into that here when we, when we, you know, get done with the season and see, see where that falls.
But either way, it wasn't amazing, you know, outing for her.
She's just been solid for the last two years that the kid just,
lives this stuff, you know, and she, she just, uh, she rises to the occasion, you know, I mean, 12 innings the other night, I kept asking you, okay, and she just puts a smile on it.
It's fun to be there.
Smile on her face.
I'm good coach, you know, and it's just, she goes right back out, keeps battling, you know, bases loaded, you know, it's easy to get down on yourself or have something happen and she just keeps going forward and just, you know, she just great to have around.
And defensive wise, uh, when, when she's in the middle and you know, you got to your first and your third base persons.
Um, I mean, you're pretty tough to get one by, aren't you?
Yeah.
You know, Morgan clappy has done an amazing job stepping into third base this year.
She didn't play ball the last couple of years and we got her to come out this year and you know, her stepping into that role.
Um, you know, right away, you could just tell she, she got a really good arm and we watch her in practice every night and she, she looks really good, but she just.
She's done a great job in that third base spot for us.
Um, she's, she's fearless.
You know, the other night when we had the, the bases loaded there and we knew we couldn't let that a pretty athletic runner on, on third base there at GT and, uh, we just pulled her way up.
We said, we can't get in a foot race with that girl.
You know, we got to get that.
If they put the bond down, we got to get in, get it to JC at home plate and she was right up there standing there.
You know, and she's just fearless.
She's done a great job for us and Reagan on the other corner done excellent.
Um, and you know, and put Kyrie in the middle and it's just, yeah, they do a good job of defending the bond.
We've seen a lot of them.
You know, it's not easy to hit off Kyrie.
So we expect to see a lot of bunny, especially late in the games.
We're proud to bring you all the excitement, energy, and heart of local sports.
We're more than just fans of the game.
We're fans of every team, every player, and every community that makes it special.

Thanks for joining.
This is Local Sports on WRCO Radio, where community comes to play.
Welcome to Adam's Friendship, everyone.
Early start, about 12 minutes early tonight.
We missed the first batter, Abigail Williams, a strikeout victim for Richland Center, Ella Clements batting second, and she fouls it off.
She'll be followed tonight by the pitcher, Kyrie Fisher.
Again, WIA rule is supposed to be a five o'clock start time, so that's our first complaint tonight, but otherwise should be a good ball game.
Hornets come in at 19 and three, and Adam's Friendship, 20 and seven.
Riley Weaver, the pitcher for Adams Friendship, working with Gwen Grandvay behind the plate.
Two strikes now on Clements, the RC shortstop.
Stepping back in, here's the pitch, that one fouled off as well.
Clements, then Kyrie Fisher, JC Gander, the catcher hits cleanup tonight.
Reagan Shep, hitting fifth at first base.
Aubrey Colstead at second base.
Tatum Rezik, the left-fielder, hits seventh.
Kira McDonald is the designated player hitting eighth.
And Ava Martin is at third tonight, batting number nine.
This one is upstairs.
Hornets suffered an injury between last game in this game.
And Morgan Cleppy not at third base tonight as a result of an injury.
So the lineup switched a little bit.
2-2 offering.
This one popped up for his base side and out of play.
Look out, everybody.
A lot of Hornet fans over here on the right side.
They all played it well, very cautiously scattered out of the way.
Did they have you along for sectional semi-final softball?
You don't get to this level all that often, although the Hornets have been here now two years in a row.
Lemmets back in from the line-up.
The pitch is called right three, and there are two away now.
The hitter will be the pitcher, Kyrie Fisher.
Brooklyn Dorman is it for a space.
Kira Meisenheimer at second.
McKenna Curson-Holler is at shortstop and Piper Boyer is at third.
Oregon Parr is in left.
Derrigan Dan Kowski in center and Katie Jackson in right field.
Here's the pitch to Kyrie Fisher in the strike.
Nothing in one.
Two the batter.
Just a little bit of a breeze blowing out toward left field today.
Fisher with a couple of swings.
and now stands back in.
The pitcher weaver back to the circle and on the rubber.
Here's the pitch outside for a ball and the count goes to one ball and one strike.
Outfield shaded a bit toward right field.
Fisher hitting over 400 on the year.
We'll get some conference accolades from the Southwest Conference when that's officially released.
This one swung on and fell back to the plate behind the plate and now it is one and two.
Hornets regional championship one that people will talk about for years with Fisher getting the 24 strikeouts Only two walks also at the RBI One ball two strikes Here's the pitch from Weaver popped up for a space side look out hornet fans again.
It's out of play Everybody scrambling there's some better fans kind of looking in the Sun as well.
So got a look up and
Maybe cover your face a little bit as that ball goes up in the air All right one two Fisher back in two outs in the opening inning Weaver set to go here's the pitch swing and a miss dropped by the catcher picked up throw the first in time So the pitcher from Adams strikes out the side of Hornets here in the opening inning no runs No hits no errors none left on half inning in the books
And it is Ritzel Center Nothing.

Kerrigan Dankowski is the center fielder.

Morgan Parr, the left fielder, brings up the order.
Around the Hornet infield, Reagan shep at first, Aubrey Colestead at second, Ella Clements at third, and Ava Martin at third, I should say Ella Clements at short.
Tater Brasic at left, Abigail Williams in center, Elsa Hady in right field today.
Here we go, the Fisher pitch is going to be taken, of course, right?
Nothing in one, good thing about...
Kyrie is that's right around the strike zone.

One ball, two strikes.

One ball and one strike to the hitter.
Adams has 20 wins.
The Hornets went away from there.
Adams French have played a few more games.
I think they went during spring break down south and played some games there to start the season.
1-1 pitch swing, gonna miss.
One ball and two strikes through the batter.
They had seven losses, but they were deemed number one.
Two of the losses were two ripping in their own conference.

Here comes the target from Gander, and there's the pitch, swinging it in.
Two away.
Strikeout number one on the day for Kai, and the batter will be McKenna Personlore.
You'll get the sign from third base, and stand in here.
Or let's try to get back to the duck out of the bottom half of inning number one.
This shirt ready to go.
And here comes the pitch.
That one is called a strike.

Picked up by Williams, the runner stops at second as the throw comes on.
Back to back hits by Adam's friendship.
Barr stops at second.
Moyer at first.
Gwen Grandsey will be the batter.
Died called here.
Looks like just a chat here.
I thought for a moment they might be looking at a courtesy runner or in this case a pinch runner but they will not and Grandsey will stand in.
So Moyer who's struck out gets a base hit the second time up.
Brands he struck out she'll stand in with the runners at first and second scoreless ball game bottom of three Fisher with the pitch bowled straight back Nothing in one to the hitter Back it goes to Fisher again.

W-I-C-L Adam's Friendship gets the win here tonight.
The winning pitcher is Wiley Weaver.
She strikes out 12 in the ball game.
Let me see here.
Check that.
She only has 11 strikeouts.
And through the day, gives up a total of four base hits and did not walk a batter.
The only one that Fisher walked wound up scoring a run in the eighth inning.
She does strikeout 12.
Gives up a total of five base hits.
Leaving away for the Green Devils, top of the order.
Piper Boyer was two for three with a sacrifice.
And Gwen Granzie won for four.
She had the winning hit.
Brooklyn Storman won for three, and Morgan Parr won for three.
For Richland Center, it's for Kyrie Fisher, Jacey Gander, Tatum Rezik, and Kira McDonald.
Some other scores tonight.
Certainly softball-wise, I don't know that we have any other finals.
Other than the last word, it was a lead for Ithaca Weston.
They were looking like they were on the way to a win.
8-1 top of the 7th, Ithaca-Weston leading Royal in that game.
Also, as we mentioned, Weston losing in baseball to Brookwood tonight by a score of 9-6.
And so the season continues for Brookwood.
They're advancing, year comes to an end for both River Valley and Richland Center.
Hornets losing 10-0 to Baraboo and also River Valley falling in their game, 10-0 to
general point omro over bangor and baseball tonight for two winners at baseball will be playing again on a wednesday night at sites to be determined for adams friendship a advanced in the tournament and we playing coming up on thursday that came will be at prairie duchine high school and will be a good one they'll be battling either point at or load i the ones and twos battling tonight at point at the game at five o'clock on thursday
at Bluffview School in Prairie Duchine.
I so thought the Horns were going to get there, especially in the eighth inning with bases loaded, one out.
Good play by the Green Devils, getting a play, a force of the runner at home plate, and then getting a pop out to end the threat, and then coming in in the bottom of the eighth and getting the winning run.
They get the run across, the winning run on five hits, no errors, four left on, no runs, four hits, an error, and four left on for Richland Center.
Just a really good ball game.
And some folks from over here in Adams-French have come over and thank the Hornet fans, just a really good game to watch.
It's just sad when it's a team you're following that loses in a game like this, but they were very, very closely matched.
And Weaver, who's a senior pitcher, will lead her team into the sectional final.
for Kyrie Fisher, who finishes out in a standing year in her team.
They finish out here today, but a strong effort, no doubt about it.
And we always have to give the sign off a little bit of sadness saying goodbye to seniors this year, including players like Tatum Rezik and Abigail Williams and Ella Caron who've been around all year long.
And we want to thank them.
It's been a great year.
A lot of fun to watch the Hornets
but they fall here tonight in the sectional semi-final.
The game has been engineered by Tim Bede, and once again, our final.
Adam's friendship wins it.
I guess it goes from the book as one to nothing.
Officially, it was two, but it'll be one to nothing.
Doesn't matter, they win.
They get the score of the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning, and get it done here tonight against the Hornets for their 21st win of the year, 21 and seven.
Hornets finish out at 19 and four.
Thanks to Coach Tini Gander and the staff as well for another great
season.
Now they'll be back at it next year to give it all they got.
Thank you for joining us for High School Sports and Hornets Supple all year long for WRCO from Adams Friendship High School.
