The Wisconsin Department of Justice is joining 18 other states to file a petition against the current Trump administration for rolling back climate safeguards put into place during the first Trump administration.

The bipartisan AEM Act was signed into law in 2020.

It faces out the use of climate warming hydrofluorocarbons in commercial refrigeration equipment.

The chemicals are among the fastest growing sources of greenhouse gas emissions in the United States and around the world.

It's getting dry in parts of Wisconsin, about 13 percent of the

State is in a moderate drought, with another two-thirds experiencing abnormally dry conditions.

The hardest-hit areas northern Wisconsin, including Bayfield, Iron, Ashland and Vilas counties, along with some patches of southeastern Wisconsin.
