Caller ID is the greatest invention of the 20th.

I love the caller ID.

Do you have the caller ID?

Greatest invention.

You know why?

Because if you hate someone, you never have to talk to that person on the phone again.

Any time I see it's my mother's phone number, I can pick up the phone.

I go, help!

Put the gun down!

Leave me alone!

And then I hang up, and it's good for her condition, and she really gets to my nerves,

and she's running.

My mother's like really, really annoying.

She just got an answering machine for her house, right?

So I called her while she wasn't at home to see what the message was.

First of all, it's like two hours long, and it's like the first draft of her really boring

autobiography.

You have reached 478.

I live at 310 Gibson Boulevard.

On Tuesdays from 8 to 1130, I go to Bingo with the synagogue to help out.

The money is in the top drawer, my dresser, and the bedroom.

The key is under the mat.

Shut up!

Funny!

You know it makes you mad.

Why is everybody telling everybody what you have done?

Baby!

You know it makes you sad.

But when they're handing out the harness, you know we thought they had you soon.

Layin' with the green of hearts.

No one made a village march.

Don't worry if the only fool will do anything for you.

Layin' out of love and love and make it better life for us.

That's what I'll have to do to keep me away from you.

Love that name.

Juice Newton.

Win of Hearts.

WRNJM Radio at 608.

I'm Don Rosen.

The journey to be today on this beautiful morning.

Wow, it's gorgeous out there.

I was coming in by Lake Michigan driving right down the lake.

Oh, just beautiful.

I know you've had a few.

But I can't have any of the covers.

I'm tellin' them that's the only one.

Another year.

They know this is what I'm going through.

And it's so hard to be a lover when you say it only in it for fun.

Layin' with the green of hearts.

No one made a village march.

Don't worry if the only fool will do anything for you.

Layin' with the green of hearts.

And no one made a village march.

Don't worry if the only fool will do anything for you.

And good morning, increasing confidence today with a hundred and fifty-three.

A clear sky tonight lows around thirty-four.

All right, you ready for the weekend?

I hate to tell you.

And I'm not going to like it.

Sunny with a high-tier 48 tomorrow in sunny with a high-tier 56 on Sunday.

Just kidding.

Right now we've got sunshine.

Forty-one degrees.

I was telling you I was driving in along the lake this morning.

And I was going to take a picture of it.

But somehow with your cell phone, the pictures don't come out right.

When you had, I hate to sound like an old funny dirty,

but you had film in your camera.

The film took a great picture.

But these, you know, the cell phones don't take,

I don't think they come out right.

Plus, you got to see the whole panorama of the lake front.

But that looked like the sky was on fire waking up this morning.

Oh, it's just beautiful.

The Brewers playing baseball tonight.

Yeah.

Brewers will be out in St. Louis to take you on the cards at 6.40 pm here at WRJN.

They have two games over the weekend.

In the new hour on Saturday and Sunday, I don't know the exact times here.

But you can hear the Brewers on WRJN.

I've got tickets to Star Girl to give away this half hour.

It's coming to the Racine Theater Guild.

These are for tomorrow at noon.

So not new 2 p.m. 2 p.m.

I'm sorry.

The Brewers are playing a new Star Girl at 2 p.m.

Tomorrow is a great show Star Girl.

You're going to want to see this.

I'm telling you.

If you're as old as I am, I'm not going to tell you all that.

But if you're as old as I am, you're going to want to grab your yearbook.

Oh, I got to tell you something.

So my principal in grammar school was a gentleman named Mr. Dodd.

Lawrence Dodd.

But you know, you don't call your principal Larry Lawrence.

It was always Mr. Dodd.

What a nice human being.

Just a wonderful, wonderful man.

Very tall.

Like six foot four, six foot four, five, whatever it was.

Very tall.

Very imposing.

But he was just like a teddy bear.

Just said, this is what you want a principal to be like.

And I'm sure there are principals all over Racine and Kenotian,

Sturdivant and Caledonia that it's just as nice.

But he was our principal growing up in grammar school.

Cut to a few years ago.

I found out he was living with his daughter.

I think in Pennsylvania.

And I called him.

And we had a nice chat on the phone.

Then I've brought him on the air with me to talk.

And he sounded the same as he did when I was in, you know, the 1960s.

So we talked down the air.

And then we wrote letters back and forth.

And I found that he moved out to I think Nebraska with another daughter.

And then he passed away, I found out.

And I was sad about that because we were hooking up his friends instead of student principal.

And it was really nice talking to him.

And the amazing part is he remembered everything about me.

It wasn't one thing he didn't remember.

He remembered my brother.

Remember my parents.

He remember when I slid down the banister going from the second floor to the first floor.

I was late for my monitor post.

We were school crossing guards.

And he was standing there.

He watched me slide down the banister.

Somebody said the minute I told him to start.

Why didn't you stop?

You can't stop it.

You're going 90 miles an hour down the banister.

There's no style.

Kill yourself.

He remembered all that.

And I heard from his daughter yesterday.

I posted something on my hometown Facebook page.

And she said, you know, you went to school with my father.

My father was principal.

And you even have it on the radio.

And he said, I think I may have sent him a tape.

He said of it.

And we were talking going back and forth on messenger about her father.

And I brought back great memories.

He used to make the morning announcements.

And every morning it was the same sound when school started.

Have your attention, please.

Have your attention, please.

I don't know why you blew into it.

And that was every morning.

Mr. Dodd did that.

It was always in like in a light gray, medium gray suit every day.

And so remember I could picture this so long ago.

But I had a nice chat with his daughter.

We were going back and forth for a few hours on messenger.

And I told her what a great father she had.

And she had said, you know, the same thing.

I told my brother that I was going back and forth

that they're in conversation.

And he said, you know, I never remember that guy raising his voice once at all.

I remember when the space launches happened with Alan Shepard

and then with John Glenn orbiting the earth.

He brought in this little black and white portable TV from home

and put it on the gymnasium stage.

He can hardly sit on a posted stamp.

But at least he did it.

So he would everybody into the gymnasium.

And he turned on the TV and we were able to watch the launch.

And I'd everybody back the class.

But it was something that he thought about would help us.

And you know what it did?

Because I remember the launch.

What a great human being.

I mean, he was meant to be a principal of a school.

And there was East Lake Elementary School,

I'm going out in Massapig, New York.

They met just some of the famous students he had.

So she was talking about it.

And some of the people went to school.

There was a chief of staff, somebody in the chief.

I forget the gentleman's name.

But he was a member of the chief of staff at the White House.

He went there.

Jerry Seinfeld, of course.

There were a few others who did PV commercials and working government.

But they all came from that elementary school.

I was very happy to talk to her.

So a program.

A lot of memories last night.

So if you see Stargirl, he would remind me of it.

If you see Stargirl, you'll want to go back and look at your high school yearbook.

Because it's going to bring back memories of high school.

It really is.

And that's exactly what I did when I went home.

And so we could take us to Stargirl to give away in a few minutes here at WRJN.

So I am there.

It's a matter of fact, you know what?

Let's do it right now.

Let's give away the tickets right now.

I have a pair of tickets to see Stargirl.

And this would be for tomorrow at 2 p.m.

If you want them and you haven't won anything in the past 60 days,

give me a call right now.

262, 634, 9756.

262, 634, WRJN.

You know, people don't remember phone numbers anymore because that was just name.

So once you just put us on a speed dial on your phone,

even that term speed dials is ancient.

262, 634, 9756, 262, 634, 9756.

And the phone lines are open if you want to try to get in.

And give you a pair of tickets to see Stargirl this weekend

at the Racine Theater Guild.

You will love the show.

It is really good.

It'll bring back a lot of memories for you.

And the actors are high school kids.

You never know it.

They're like professional Broadway actors.

I don't know where they find these people.

I really don't.

And they're among us.

They know how to weed them out of the crowd and find these actors.

But I don't know how to do it.

So 262, 634, 9756.

262, 634, WRJN.

And give you a pair of tickets to see Stargirl this weekend.

I would attach to you to your cell phone.

A restaurant in Italy trying something brand new.

They'll give you a free bottle of wine if you give up your cell phone

when you come on in.

No strings attached.

The response from diners has been very positive.

And yes, you get your cell phone back when you leave, right?

Uber released a list of the most common things people leave behind

in their cars over the past year.

Clothing, luggage, headphones, wallets, and jewelry.

Top five.

And with that said, Uber also shared some of the weirdest things people have left behind,

including a two pay.

It's been cold outside.

Two containers with spiders in them.

A candle that says, see you in court.

What are you giving that to?

A live pet turtle.

A framed Taylor Swift autograph.

And a paternity test.

You think somebody would need that in court.

But they left it in the car.

Coming up to wedding season.

Don't they have any weddings this year?

Well, there are one in five chance in the bride and groom.

Well, at least think twice about wasting everybody's time.

A poll of 2,000 people said that 20% got cold feet and thought about calling the whole thing off at the last minute.

By the way, all those people in the poll ultimately got married, every one of them.

Now, whether they regretted it or not.

Well, I don't know about that.

Oh, let's see here.

A tarot card reader.

Those are the people to tell you fortune in Michigan told a woman.

She was getting come into money very, very soon.

Lady went home, scratched a lottery ticket.

She bought earlier that day.

One 500,000 dollars.

Maybe sometimes those tarot card readers know what they're talking about.

A video of a flying cat.

I saw this racked up nearly 60 million views on TikTok this week.

A woman in Chicago posted it after a cat, Remy got spooked and jumped across the entire room.

Apparently, her other cat knocked the coat off the rack and that's what caused the spooking.

Yeah, the cat just jumped across the room from one door to the other side.

It was like a leap to you.

Never seen before.

Increasing clotiness with a high-dare 53 degrees today.

Tonight becoming clear.

Lowes around 34.

Sunny on Saturday.

Sunny on Sunday.

619 WRJN.

Home town radio refreshed a civic media station.

Music.

They put a popular on a piece of land where the supermarket should stand.

Before that they put up a poll in Ali.

On the site that used to be the local party.

That's where the big band used to come and play.

My sister went there on a Saturday.

Home dancing.

All of my friends used to come and go.

When I come dancing, it's only natural.

Another Saturday and other days.

She would be ready, but she'd always make him wait.

In the hallway in anticipation.

We didn't know the night would end up in frustration.

Increasing cloudiness though with a high-tier 53.

Sunny all weekend with a high 48 tomorrow 56 degrees on Sunday.

Hey, here's an odd but true.

I'm ready.

I'm ready.

I'm ready.

I'm ready.

I'm ready.

I'm ready.

W

I need to do some clean up here, the movie Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory, the original one from 1971, but the kid who played Charlie was never in a movie before that was his first movie and he was never in a movie since so that was one and only movie his name Peter Ostrom.

He went on to become a veterinarian in New York, he 66 years old now and retired.

And if you're wondering if he still gets royalty checks, he does every three months, he gets a $10 check for being in Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory.

How about some radio trivia? We don't talk about our radio industry enough. Let's talk about radio trivia. We talk about TV and movies enough.

NBC split itself into two radio networks in the 1920s and 1930s red for the more expensive shows blue for the cheaper ones.

The FCC made them divide into two separate companies in 1939 as television was taking shape the red network remained as NBC the blue network became ABC and that's how it came about.

It's a fun fact for you.

You might remember having seen this Stanley Kubrick had a secretary type all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy typed it over and over on 500 pieces of paper for the movie the shining.

Even though only a couple of sheets were shown on camera in the movie, she still had to type it on 500 sheets no computers back then.

So this all had to be done on a manual typewriter with no mistakes.

All right. A woman in Brazil facing charges after she wheeled a dead guy into a bank weekend of Bernie style and tried to take out a $3,400 loan in his name.

The teller said she noticed his skin tone looked a lot and he was oddly quiet. Well, yeah, he was quiet. He was dead.

The woman claimed he was just like that didn't talk much. Please still looking into it, but you could face charges of fraud and basement abuse of a corpse or all the above.

By the way, she didn't kill him. He just happened to die and she used them to get the loan.

Which by the way, she didn't get trash talking news. You ready? All right.

When golden bachelor Jerry Turner and his wife Theresa Nist announced they were splitting. They blamed it on family issues and not being able to agree on a place to live after three months.

However, some golden bachelor fans think Jerry may have been into Theresa for her money has never been done before.

They say he got more more way interested in her when he found out that she had done well in the stock market.

They claim this is the real reason they broke up.

Always comes out of the money, doesn't it? American University offering a Taylor Swift economics course called Swiftonomics.

Students will take a look at her business footprint earnings from her errors tour or influence on ticket master and more.

See, when I went to college, we just had regular courses that I know, you know, they're going to of course is like this.

I would have waited before I went to college.

Police in Ohio are investigating a scam. Check this out where someone pretending to be Aaron Rogers.

Trick to a woman at the sending them hundreds of dollars and giving her social security number over.

If you're wondering why somebody named Aaron Rogers would need to bother this random Ohio woman and her bank accounts.

He would say things like I'll send you $10,000 to help you move out of your apartment before she needs to send $800 to my lawyer's wife.

Now, if you're smart enough, you know, Aaron Rogers is a multi-multi millionaire. He doesn't need your $800.

But this woman was ready to do it and the bank tellers flag that said, wait a second here.

No, no, no, you're not doing this. This is a scam.

And the bank teller kind of helped her out. I think they froze her accounts or bank accounts and everything.

This can ruin your vacation. A couple from Florida came back from a three-week trip to Switzerland and noticed T-Mobile had built them $143,000 for using nine-and-a-half gigabytes of roaming data while they were overseas.

As you can imagine, they were pretty upset $143,000 for a cell phone. T-Mobile canceled the charge.

They were also reminding people to know the travel details of the plans you have with your cell phone company.

So be careful out there.

A high school student in Ohio will miss out on her senior prom after getting suspended over bringing a bag of corn chips to school.

The snack was not permitted because the teacher was severely allergic to them.

There's a sign detailing the rule and parents and students had a sign of form acknowledging it.

So they're making your skipper senior prom. Maybe the punishment doesn't fit the crime here.

Hmm, I'm just thinking.

And more on news, the woman in Indiana arrested after calling 911 to complain that her drug dealer gave her a bad batch of meth.

If nothing else fits for more on news, that does.

All right, get another pair of tickets to get boy to star girl this morning.

Got to give away all this morning because tomorrow's the performance at two o'clock.

All right, you're ready. All right, star girl.

The receiving theater guilds a great show.

If you want to go, I got another pair of tickets to give away at two six two six three four nine seven five six two six two six three four nine seven five six.

Got to give away all this morning because if we don't, we got to not use them.

Hi, what's your first name? Hello?

Mo Mo like in.

Yes, like in that.

And you've probably been hearing that all your life.

All my life, but you know, it's all right. I love those guys.

You don't you don't have a brother named Curly or Larry, do you?

No, but it'll be funny because we're used to call my brother Larry.

Wouldn't that be funny if you had now Curly's not good, but Larry's a common name.

Wouldn't that be funny?

I love that.

I love that.

Oh, look.

Not all that.

Hold on, Mo. I'll get your tickets for you in just a second. All right.

Awesome. Thank you.

You got to love this, Mo.

My father had one of his employees. His name was Mo at the where he worked in Brooklyn.

His name was Mo.

All right. Come on up. More of your favorites. We've got us.

We've got some favorite comedy beds for you. We've got some interesting information.

It's all coming up here at WRG and hometown radio. We're fresh to civic media station 629.

Stop debating it.

Something's happening in 20 years.

What are we going to tell our children and grandchildren?

Because they're going to ask us. They're going to come to us.

They're going to be like, did you know about global warming?

And we're going to be like, I mean, I heard about it.

I brought my own cup to Starbucks.

There's floods. There's fires. There's a pandemic.

In biblical times, these would have been messages from God.

Like, we don't know God might be up there right now.

Like, are they going to get in these messages?

And God's assistance at no, sir.

Is that the entire state of California on fire?

Did they get the message?

One woman is saying it's space lasers, sir.

What about the pandemic? I said the plague.

Blaming the guy who came up with Microsoft Word.

I don't know, I don't know.

Hey, hey, hey.

I don't know, I don't know.

I don't know, I don't know.

Hey, hey, hey.

I don't know.

He's never been here.

The couple is here.

When all the sadness is gone.

Fallen baby from the eyes.

He might be here.

He's never been here.

I don't know, I don't know.

He's never been here.

I don't know, I don't know.

He's never been here.

I don't know, I don't know.

Hey, hey.

At 6.37 at WRJN on your Friday morning.

You believe we're at April 19th already?

May is coming up just a few days.

That's Memorial Day that month.

Oh, man, this year's going fast.

Increasing clodding, that sounds near 53 degrees today.

Becoming clear tonight, those near 34,

paving away for a beautiful weekend.

Sunshine with a high-dirt 48 degrees tomorrow.

Sunday sunny with a high-dirt 56 right now.

It's sunny, beautiful, gorgeous 41 degrees at WRJN.

Hey, don't forget we got the Brewer's playing baseball.

They're in St. Louis taking on the Cardinals tonight.

6.40 on WRJN.

We still have tickets to give away to the State Fair.

Yeah, well, Charlie Barron's funny man here on the Civic Media.

And he's a very funny comedian.

He's taking the main stage at the State Fair.

Next week, we've got tickets to give away to TLC.

I remember Waterfalls.

They've got a bunch of great tunes from TLC in the 80s.

Whoa.

So we have some tickets to give away to them.

It's just, we've got tons of stuff to give away.

It's 6.38 coming up.

By the way, coming up this morning,

a little after seven o'clock,

we're going to have Janet Wiker here.

She's from the Interfaith Coalition.

They've received her to Faith Coalition.

They got some special Earth Day stuff coming up tomorrow.

And we're going to talk and hear about that.

That's all a little after seven o'clock this morning.

But first, we have news from Stuart J. Wattles in our news center.

He's putting together our news this morning.

Most of the congressional campaign announcement

from Peter Barker yesterday focused on his plans.

But he did have some words for the current representative, Brian Style,

calling him a back bencher.

Among other things, Barker kicked off his campaign

for the first district congressional seat at Apple Hunter.

Barker's political background includes past servicing Congress

during the 1990s and holding leadership roles in the state assembly.

In the Democratic primary in August,

Barker will be up against opponents Diane Anderson and Lorenzo Santos.

The Racine County Sheriff's Office is looking into reports of a man

attempting to lure children into his car in Union Grove

through separate incidents were reported in the past week.

In both cases, witnesses described a man in a light or white sedan approaching children

and asking if they needed a ride.

One incident took place to a Union Grove high school.

It's a changing of the Tom's at the top of the Racine County board.

Supervisors unanimously voted for Tom Kramer to succeed Thomas Roenhouse as chairman

of a meeting this week.

Kramer who previously served as the vice chairman has been a district 13 supervisors

since 2018 and was elected as vice chairman in 2020.

Scott Meyer, the district 16 supervisor was elected as the new vice chairman.

Those are the stories to which a waddles is keeping an eye on

for us this morning in our new center.

He'll have the updates throughout the entire day today,

top and bottom of the hour right here at WRJ and radio.

We are serving Racine hometown radio.

Refressed also Kenosha too.

Also Kenosha because yesterday we had a young lady on from the Hawthorne Hollow.

I can't Hawthorne.

I always have trouble with that word Hawthorne.

I was so careful yesterday from Hawthorne Hollow.

She's a naturalist and education manager out there.

Kaelin Palomare's and say we have Kenosha to actually summers.

Yes, it's a nature center in Arboretum.

And I get a great conversation yesterday.

Stop on by they've got so much going on there this summer.

And they'll have music concerts in the wild out there in the woods.

It's really nice.

They do a great job out there.

I don't want to thank Kaelin for coming in yesterday morning.

Anytime somebody comes in at seven o'clock in the morning, you have to thank them.

That means they had to get up at least six a.m. minimum to come in here.

So I do thank all our guests for doing that.

All right, the average worker waste about five hours a week on tasks

that could be automated.

The top things we wish we can automate include sending emails,

scheduling meetings, talking to our boss.

I want to make that.

Hey, you have some AI chat GPT thing calling your boss and you do them dealing with customers.

69% feel they just do the same thing over and over and over again each day.

68% wish their job wasn't so monotonous.

Yeah, like sitting here talking on the radio.

What a tedious job.

You know, I told my mother once.

She said, is this what you want to do for a living?

I said, mom, I want to sit on my butt and do nothing for the rest of my life.

Radio's the perfect job for that.

I love it.

Oh, never win the lottery before.

You might want to try this since 20 or four 146 Americans have won the lottery using numbers.

They got from fortune cookies.

You know, when you get your fortune, they always have some numbers listed at the bottom.

Which fortune cookie numbers associated with the most wins are you want to write this down for 14 15 22 26 and 28.

Wow.

Whoever thought those numbers would come in on the fortune cookie.

All right.

Here are the top five most common pet peeves people have with restaurants unsupervised kids running around.

We went to this Chinese restaurant once and these three kids, which is running a muck up and down the aisles throwing things at each other.

My wife has a name for that.

Parents now have free range kids, free range kids, which means they can roam anywhere they want to in the restaurant.

They're enjoying their dinner.

Everybody else's dinners are being ruined.

So unsupervised kids running wild number one slow service number two.

The food comes out too quickly.

We don't like that either, huh?

No substitutions allowed and long waits.

Remember that's nine-fold episode when there's a Chinese restaurant in there waiting to come in.

That's a classic episode.

It's so true.

All right.

Showbiz news this morning.

Martin Scorsese says he wants lead note of the caprio to play Frank Sinatra in a bio pick.

You know, Martin Scorsese got his stable of actors he used all the time.

Back in the 90s and early 2000s, it was Joe Pesci and Robert Teneuro were in every one of his movies.

Now lead note of the caprio's in every one of his movies.

He wants to play Frank Sinatra.

I think he can pull it off.

I don't know if he could sing, but he can pull off the acting part.

Quentin Tarotino is ditching the movie, the movie critic.

He was supposed to be his tenth and final film.

He was talking about who he's going to have in that thing.

He was going to be a big movie.

And the way he's ditching it.

Survey as people what they want science to invent.

Of course, number one is a pill that cures all illnesses.

Hmm.

We really like you, but he can have a population on the earth of 200 billion people.

Well, anyway, we want that cure.

Wrinkle free clothing came in a close second.

Yeah.

It's either the pill to cure cancer or wrinkle free clothing are really on the fence about that one.

Robot maids, we actually have it.

You know, that little rumba thing that goes around the room cleaning your clothes.

So actually, we might even have that now.

Kind of time machine.

You know, I see that movie, the time machine with Rod Taylor so many times.

I never get tired of watching it where he goes into the future.

And he sees what the world's become.

And he wants to live in the future and try to change it.

You can't change the future back to the future.

Prove that it's disastrous.

Remember when he had his parents when he went back into I'm already McFly and

said it being a dork.

His father in the future now was a smart man and author of a book.

And he wrote Star Wars.

Yes, Marty.

He dabbled with the past and he screwed up the future.

Gotta be careful with your wish for it.

So yeah, so either a pill that cures all illnesses or wrinkle free clothing.

I'm on the fence about that one too.

All right, cell phones have really improved our lives.

90% of us legitimately feel panic when our cell phone battery dips below 20%.

I do 32% of us left somewhere just to go home and plug in our phones.

23% of us have gotten into an argument with a significant other because they

stopped responding to text and calls to conserve their battery.

It happens all the time.

And it's become like part of us like we're like Robo arms.

Pretty soon we're going to have the phone just inserted into our, you know, four arms.

So we don't even have to hold them anymore.

They got a chunk of skin and bone.

Put the cell phone in there and we'll just work it on our forearm.

That's not a bad idea.

32% of Americans say they regret at least one of their major life decisions.

Here are the three most common things we regret.

Not following our dreams.

Not taking risks with our career.

Not taking risk with their life in general, like moving into a new city or going back to school.

You know, I was going to take a risk with my career once.

Just back in 1980.

I was 83.

And I really was not that good in radio.

It was still early on in my career.

I was only in radio for like 10 years at that point.

And I got a call from a Los Angeles radio station, one of the big stations in L.A.

They wanted me to consider coming out there, but it just happened.

I was going out there on a trip with my family.

So I said to my uncle, drive me downtown Los Angeles.

I want to stop at this radio station and talk to them.

And he pulled up in front of the building.

And I said, keep going.

Forget it.

I'm not Los Angeles ready.

I wasn't ready for Los Angeles yet.

I'm still not.

But I wasn't ready then.

But that was a big risk I was going to take.

Moving out to Los Angeles and working at this big radio station.

And it was one of the big ones out there.

And I said, keep moving.

Don't want to go.

The number one job kids want today when they grow up is YouTube star.

The number two most popular thing they want to be when they grow up is a blogger or vlogger.

Musician and singer finished third.

Nobody wants to build cars anymore, working banks and be doctors.

I mean, that stuff is all out.

Nobody wants to do that anymore.

I didn't see disc jockey on the list either.

Where that went out of style real quick.

A study ranked the biggest social networks and how likely they are to make you feel worse.

Instagram is the worst.

While by Snapchat and Facebook, YouTube is the only one that sometimes actually makes people feel better about themselves.

Instagram people feel the worst.

Why?

Because everyone shares photos and makes you look like they're having an amazing life when they're really not.

And the filters make them look more attractive than they really are, which makes people feel insecure.

I don't get bothered by that stuff.

I know young people might, but I don't get bothered by it.

You know, there are bigger things to get bothered by in life and that's not one of them.

I can give you a list.

A study found the average person has 432 moments of pure happiness a year or about eight a week.

One of the most common situations when it happens is in the car singing to the radio.

Radio is always involved.

Yeah, and always are good parts in life.

We always want to involve radio.

That's good.

I like that.

Always involve radio.

Let's see what else we got here.

The average person checks their cell phone 80 times a day on vacation.

Here are the five things who I was likely to make us pull out our phones on a trip, taking a photo,

getting directions, answering a call, responding to texts, and looking for a place to eat.

Okay.

That's a real, that's a legitimate.

Just don't do any work.

On your phone.

And don't be answering people on Facebook and all that stuff.

You want to post photos fine.

It just lets the criminals know you're not home.

Summers coming hot dogs are on the grill, right?

43% of Americans say they don't know what their hot dogs are made out of.

33% said they don't eat hot dogs at all means because they're afraid of what they're made out of.

Some things are better left to be a mystery, huh?

That's 49, W.R.J.N.

Hongdown radio refreshed.

A civic media station.

She's coming down.

She didn't know what she was headed for.

And when I found what she was headed for.

Mama, it was too late.

It's been two days.

She's gone too far.

She's lost the sun.

She's coming down.

Too many mountains.

Not enough stairs to drive.

Too many churches.

Not enough trees.

Too many people.

Not enough eyes to see.

Too many lives to eat.

A lot of time.

It's too late.

She's gone too far.

She's lost the sun.

She's coming down.

La la la...

La la la...

She's too late, she's gone too far, she's lost the sun

She's come on down, she didn't know what she was headed for

And when I found what she was headed for, it was too late

She's come on down, she found my life was far too high

And when she found out she couldn't fly, my mind was too late

It's too late, she's gone too far...

Can it is, look, guess who?

She's come on down, the big finish here

La la la...

I'm Don Rosen, thanks for joining us here at WRJ and it's 654

Look for an increase in cloud cover with a high-tier 53 degrees today

Clear tonight, lows around 34 sunny tomorrow with a high-tier 48 sunny on Sunday with a high-tier 56

Right now, I believe it's still, what's it?

41, let me check the current temperature here, get the low down

40, all right, sunny and 40 degrees, it's chilly out there but the sun is so bright

I just stuck my nose out the door a few seconds ago just to get a feel for the air

It's a little cool out there, 40 degrees, still nice though, I like it

We got baseball coming up today, the brewers are out in St. Louis taking on the cards at 6.40pm

We have movie talk coming up this morning, a little earlier this morning because Brett Hoffman

was at Cinemacon out in Las Vegas, he's got the low down at all the newest stuff

We'll talk a little earlier to him, Mike Clements talking sports at 750 this morning

And Janet Wiker is doing from Racine Interfaith Churches this morning from the Interfaith Coalition

Talk about Earth Day and some big doings going on with Earth Day, that's coming up in just a moment

6.55 WRJ and Radio and taking off your shoes at your front door could help you lose weight

Oh really?

Because you track in fewer chemicals called Obesogens, is that a real word?

Obesogens that mess with your hormones and promote growth

They're in everything from cleaning, Protestant cosmetics, the process food, even the dust floating around the house

And that's why taking your shoes off matters, Obesogens, I don't believe that for one second

Sounds good though, no wonder about your fat, too many Obesogens in your house

Get rid of those Obesogens and you won't be so obese

Make your young, someone posted a list of 40 things that if you did any of them growing up

You're officially old, they included rewinding a cassette tape with a pencil

Didn't we all do that?

Printing out directions on MapQuest, yes did that too

And hearing someone yell, get off the internet, I need to use the phone, remember that?

Never get that noise whenever you're dialed up, you know, on the cop you serve or AOL

Remember that noise?

Odd but true, Frank Sinatra had a fatal heart attack May 14, 1998

That was the night of the finale on Seinfeld

So many people were inside watching the traffic in Ellie was light

And they were able to get Frank Sinatra to the hospital faster than usual

Unfortunately, it didn't help him

What was this guy thinking? The guy in Illinois facing charges after he stole a backhoe

From a construction site and drove a 10 miles to the airport to catch a flight

They said, here are any footage of him parking it at the airport parking lot

Did he really think he was going to get away with that?

And how could you enjoy your flight after that thing?

Never say about your job, a job hunting expert posted a video on how to use chat GPT

To prep for your next job interview

Just copy and paste the entire job description into chat GPT

And ask you to generate interview questions you can use to practice

I always wanted to know how these teachers are going to tell off their students using chat GPT

To write term papers and so forth

I mean, that's got to be, you know, or to decipher

We used to go to the library and just use the encyclopedia Britannica to cheat

Now they can just do it on the internet

All right, graduation season is coming up

How much money should you give the new graduate as a graduation gift these days?

According to a survey, people give an average of $111 for a high school graduation

243 for college

256 for a grad school graduation

You know what I got when I graduated from high school?

I got a dinner at Barnacle Bill's restaurant

That's what my parents got me for my anniversary for my graduation

My dad said, hop in the car, we're going to Barnacle Bill's

That on the great South Bay, I'm long on it

And I didn't like fish at the time

So I got a burger

And that's what I got for my graduation

I don't think I bet

I'm not sure that

Oh, you know what they also gave me?

They gave me a ring

I still have it

They gave me a ring with my graduation date in there

Yeah, they did give me a nice gift

I just remembered Barnacle Bill's

Hey, coming up

I don't know why Cure's going to be here from the Racine Interfaith Coalition

We're talking about some Earth Day stuff going on

Earth Day is Monday

We're going to celebrate this wonderful planet that God gave us

And we're going to take care of it

We're going to talk about that coming up at just a moment here

WRJN hometown radio refreshed a civic media station
