The Don Rosen Show · Wed Apr 17, 2024

I'll tell you, man, I admire flat attendance.

I really do.

I couldn't do what they do.

They're there for safety, first of all.

They've got to put up with so much garbage from people.

Have you ever been sitting in your seat and you see somebody

trying to fit something in the overhead rack that you know

ain't going in there, like in a million years?

You know, you're looking at them like,

what kind of perception problems this guy have?

And the flat attendance are so nice.

They run up and act like it's close.

You know, they run up there.

Oh, gosh.

Oh, I don't know if that's going to get up there.

We can check it for you.

You're moron.

That's what I would do.

I would last like nine seconds at that job, you know.

I would just run up, hey, does that look like it's going to fit?

That's a hell of a matter with you.

You got this much room.

You got like a dead yak.

You don't see all these people jammed up behind you?

Oh, this is your world.

Oh, it's all about you.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

Yeah.

Mmm.

Mmm.

There does be lovers where my real fortune is together.

I've got some real estate here in my bank.

So we bought a pack of cigarettes and this is where your pies and what don't to look for

will make a car.

Mmm.

Kaffee on my stasid.

Why do you shoot a scene?

I'm a tea and a king and I don't know why.

Counting the cars on the new jersey.

Turned back, they've all come to the far end.

They've all come to the far end.

They've all come to the far end.

They've all come to the far end.

What a thought provoking song.

I think it's with the book ends album.

It's how many Garpoca, America.

610, WRG and Radio.

I'm Don Rosen.

I want to thank you for joining me today.

The showery, thundershowery day.

Do you hear the thundershrooms last night?

They weren't really super loud, but they were rumbling for about a half hour.

I kept thinking about that Meteorologist on Channel 12.

They'll be coming through around 1 a.m.

It didn't wake my life up though.

She didn't see the bother at all.

On the other hand, it was up the whole time.

I kept thinking, you know, should I pull the plug on the computer?

Laptop, should I shut off the cable modem?

Should I shut off?

I mean, I was thinking of all the, because you don't want to, you know, getting zapped.

Although I have the surge protectors in there, but still.

So we have showers and thundershrooms possible today with a high air 64.

Becoming clear tonight, lows around 46.

Showers again tomorrow, highs near 55.

Right now it's cloudy and 51 degrees.

The birds were really screaming out there this morning when I came in.

They were in that there's a tree right near the parking lot.

And I said, hi, birdies.

I think we shut up.

I, you know, I, we have birds that are nesting in our gutters right away.

Park the cars at night on the driveway.

And I kept thinking if it really rains hard, which it did last night, what happens to their nest?

Do they get flooded out each time?

And simply, they always are up there.

So they must rebuild it.

But I felt terrible.

Where do these birds go that nest on our roof?

I could see the trees.

Maybe they'll get some protection from the rain, but the poor little birds on the roof.

Where do these animals go when it pours rain outside the squirrels?

Where are they?

I always say them running up trees.

When I come into my backyard, they scurry and they run up a tree.

But is that what they sit all night long?

Where do they go?

We set up a camera in our backyard to watch the animals, the critters in our backyard.

It's a motion detector camera and it goes 10 seconds at a time.

If there's more motion, it goes to another 10.

Then you take the disk out, put it into your TV and you watch 10 seconds.

It increments what's going on.

You can't believe how many critters are roaming around your backyard at night.

We see possums.

We see all these animals.

The daytime ones are the squirrels and the birds.

We had one cat at night, put his face right up to our lens.

Just stuck it right in there.

You see this giant cat face as he's looking at the camera.

But see possums walking around lions, tigers and bears.

Oh, my.

You see that?

I saw the tin man and the cowardly lion for the Wizard of Oz roaming around our backyard.

You see all these things with the nature camera.

It's really fun to see what goes on when you're sleeping at night.

We got the idea for it because when it snows, we have in the morning,

there's footprints all over the yard from these critters.

There must have been hundreds of them walking around.

And then when the sun comes up, they're going, where do the possums go at night?

Because they're only out at night.

So where do they go when, you know, I'm awake and I'm here.

Where do they sleep at night?

You never see them.

They can't be in the trees.

Can they?

I mean, I don't know where they go.

They don't borrow into the ground.

And they're always in my yard so they must be able to climb fences because my whole yard is fenced in.

Yeah, the camera doesn't catch it.

They only catch their motion when they're walking around the yard.

Once they leave the camera, you can't even don't know where they're going.

But I'd love to know what goes on.

I'm just a curious person by nature.

All right.

Coming up at 706 this morning, we have the management team from Festival Hall and Memorial Hall,

a brand new management team.

They're going to tell us what's going on at Festival Hall and also at Memorial Hall.

They've got some big plans.

So the people from 5K will be here.

5K.org and we'll talk to them.

Get the low down.

And what's happening right here in our backyard?

Here's a little history if they know it.

The history of the Festival Hall.

Cloudy 51 degrees now.

We've got the Pont raisin town.

Again, they'll take on the brewers at American Family Field 1135 AM at the morning game at WRJN.

When I used to go to Shae Stadium a lot, Queens, they used to call it the business man special.

Because all these guys to go off from work can Manhattan.

And they used to come out to Shae Stadium and watch the meds.

So you found all these people in business suits when they probably should have been working.

And they were watching a ball game at Shae Stadium.

All right.

It's 614.

Good morning.

Oh, I got some.

I got a whole bunch of things going on today.

We have tickets to give away to Stargirl this weekend at the Racine Theatre Guild.

It's a great production.

My wife and I saw it last weekend.

I loved it.

I loved it.

I thought these young actors did a wonderful job.

And it makes you think about your high school days.

If you're long gone from high school like I am, it makes you think back to how you treated kids in high school.

And I think you'll really get a kick out of this show.

You'll really remember it.

This is the second thought-provoking show they've had at the Racine Theatre Guild.

The other was now and then when I went home and talked about it for like a day or two.

And this Stargirl is another one of these shows you can't get out of your mind when you see it.

It's going to make you think back to all the things that happened in high school.

Anyway, so it's a good show.

Stargirl, I've got tickets to give away this morning.

We've got tickets to Charlie Barons at the Wisconsin State Fair to give away too.

I got a new survey here.

They say the most stressful time of the day is, oh, it's coming up in two hours from now, 8.15 this morning.

The average person estimates that they lose 20 minutes to unexpected morning chaos every day.

So how do you prevent this?

All right, I've got five things here to make you mornings go a little smoother, especially if you have children.

Prepare the night before it.

Establish and stick to a routine.

Get up before the kids get up.

Delegate responsibilities.

And we're talking to the kids.

Assign age appropriate tasks to your kids.

Kids can take out the garbage.

Kids can clean their morning breakfast dishes.

Kids can get up on fixed the roof.

No, they can't do that, but they can do the other thing.

They can do all the plumbing and the basement.

They can do all that stuff.

Also limit technology in the morning.

That's the biggest time waste here.

I know what is for me.

People get up.

They don't say good morning to their spouse or their partner.

They don't say good morning to the kids.

They reach for their cell phones.

That's the first thing somebody does in the morning.

They grab their cell phones.

I know I do it every morning because I want to see what went on in the world while I was sleeping last night.

That's the fastest way to do it.

I mean, let you relax.

You turn on the radio.

You can hear the news and do all that kind of stuff.

But first things first, I want to see who tried to contact me in the middle of the night for an emergency.

So, you know, there's that.

But yeah, that's probably the biggest time waste around there.

That's cell phone in the morning.

I never had a problem with the kids in the morning.

I only had one kid.

But she was pretty good.

You know, we always make fun of it.

My daughter's in her 40s now, but when she was little,

and I said, get dressed for school.

And I'd come back 10 minutes later.

She's laying there with a sock in her hand, waving it back and forth.

And never quite made it on her feet.

I said, Stacy, get ready for school.

And the sock was waving back and forth.

We still talk about those days.

I love it.

618 WRGN showers and thunderstorms possible today with a high air 64 degrees.

Right now, cloudy and 51.

Don't forget the Brewers.

The podraisers are in town from San Diego all the way from the west coast to take on the Brewers.

I wonder if they had jet lag.

1135th the game on WRJN or radio.

And don't forget, we got tickets to get boy to star girl and the Wisconsin State Fair,

Charlie Barons there.

That's all straight ahead at WRJN radio.

Home town radio refreshed to civic media station.

1400 AM, 99.9 at 98.1 FM as well.

I was born in Ludovac at a time like sweetheart.

We were always hand in hand.

I wore high top shoes and shoestails.

Shoes we wore in details.

I knew I loved her even me.

You know my papa disapproved it.

My mama boo hoon it.

I told them time and time again.

Don't you know I was made for love.

From a world all around her.

Yeah, hey, hey, hey.

She's been my inspiration.

She's been my inspiration.

From the life I've given through the years.

Like the sweet Mac know you treat.

My love lies up to the lead.

My life grew sweet and through the years.

I know that my baby loved me.

My baby needs me.

That's why we've made through the years.

I was made to love.

Wash up in the dark.

Hey, hey, hey.

Awesome thinking man.

I love just born in.

Cause I love not even love the baby.

I love not even love the baby.

My baby needs me.

That's why we've made through the years.

I was made to love.

Wash up in the dark.

Wash up in the dark.

I was made to love.

It doesn't get better than Stevie Wonder on a Wednesday morning.

You know, you'll love at 6.22 at WR&T and Radio Showers

and thunderstorms possible today.

But the hundred sixty four right now.

Cloudy, 51 degrees and the birds are still happy about that.

They're all chirping out there.

You know, I, I mentioned earlier when I come into the morning

they were on that bush right in front of the building here

and I, they're all chirping.

And I, I finally decided what they're saying.

They're not saying good morning.

It's a beautiful day.

Let's go find some worms.

They're saying a guy's back again.

Let's go poop all over his car.

I think that's what they're saying.

I can't be sure.

But I suspect that's what they're thinking.

I know they're thinking that in front of my house

because I wake up in the morning as bird poop all over my car

and bird stuff from their nests.

So I know that's what they're thinking where I live.

All right, you're ready for the next innovation

and doorbell cameras.

You got a ring camera on your house or something like that.

Yeah, they're pretty good.

They serve a purpose.

But now there's a new one called armed to shoot.

You're ready for this.

There's a kickmaster on the way.

It's called paint cam eve.

Which shoots paintballs and cartridges of tailcasts

from the camera on your doorstep.

Of course, there's the lawsuit you're about to get hit with.

If the paint cam eve shoots anyone in the eye

or accidentally fires at an innocent visitor, child or pet.

And you imagine that somebody rings your door

like a hit with a paintball on the face.

I'm just here to deliver a package of worms.

Hi, I'm selling Girl Scout cookies and wow, tear gas.

That's terrible.

I can't believe anybody will be allowed to put that on there.

On their porch.

That's terrible.

I wonder where I can buy one.

All right, research has came up with a daily stress exercise

that takes only 20 seconds.

I'm so tired of things that take 20 seconds or less

because they never work.

I mean, if you want to get rid of stress,

you have to go to a psychologist or a psychiatrist

and get analysis done for years.

But they say in the claim, 20 seconds doesn't close your eyes

and think of something that's been bothering you.

Put one hand on your chest, the other on your stomach

like you're giving yourself a hug

and think, how can I be a friend to myself in this moment?

Boy, you know, I'll try anything

but something tells me they ain't going to work.

But I'll try.

Okay, you paid your taxes, right?

The people who went to H&R Block had a bit of a problem the other day.

H&R Block software crashed on tax day of all days

and prevented thousands of people from filing their returns.

They finally resolved the issue at 3.45 in the afternoon

Eastern time.

It's not clear how many last-minute filers

may have to absorb penalties and late fees because of it.

Do you imagine that?

If you can't trust H&R Block, they get your taxes on time.

I mean, who else is there to trust?

Feel like you could have used an extra hour

and two of sleep last night.

Welcome to the club.

According to a new Gallup poll,

most of us are not getting as much sleep as we'd like.

Let's go further back a little bit here.

And the difference is pretty stark.

A poll back in 1942.

Now remember, these people having the stress of World War II

were at war with Germany.

We're at war with Japan.

So a lot of stress going on,

but 59% of the people in this country,

Americans getting at least eight hours of sleep a night,

only three percent were getting five hours of less.

Today, we're not involved in any World War,

but just 26% of us are getting eight hours of sleep.

And that final, you know, that five number,

people getting five hours of less,

now up to 20% from three percent.

They figured in 1942,

World War II was raging across Europe.

I mean, we were worried what was going to happen to the world,

but we were still getting eight hours of sleep tonight.

All right.

I'm dying Canada being harassed by someone.

You know what they're doing?

They're sending him pizza,

$1,000 worth of pizza.

The pizzas keep coming to his home and his work.

Now the police are investigating.

He doesn't know who would do it now.

He says it can't be disgruntled ex-girlfriend

because he never dated anyone.

He said either someone hates the pizza places

or they're getting revenge on me or something.

He said, I have no clue.

But every time he gets to work or gets home,

there's a pizza waiting for him.

I guess he doesn't have to pay for it.

If they're sending him, somebody must have paid for it.

As long as people were sending me pizzas,

I'd take them as long as they were paid for.

I mean, yeah, you're being harassed,

but at least you're being harassed by pizza

and not, you know, anything else that could be worse than that.

All right.

We have a lot of cat people out there.

I'm going to ask you a question.

Now you think you know everything about your cat, right?

There's most people that say,

oh, I know everything about my cat.

Let's see how much you know about your cat.

How many, you ready for this now?

How many toes does the average cat have?

83% of cat owners don't know this.

How many toes does the average cat have?

It's not 20.

It's 18.

10 in front, five on each bar, eight in the back.

Only four on each bar in the back.

I didn't know that until I read it.

Then I knew about it.

Hey, guess what?

Get ready to laugh to your cheese curds squeak

Coming clear tonight, loads around 46 showers with a high air 55 tomorrow.

Right now it's cloudy and 51 degrees.

Don't forget the pod racing town to think on the brewers 1135 this morning here on WRJN Radio.

Home town radio refreshed as civic media station.

Don't forget we're at 1400 AM also on FM now 99.9 FM in the Racine and 98.1 FM in Kenosha.

629.

Hey, we got the management team from Bestable Hall in Memorial Hall coming at 7 o'clock this morning.

Got to be here for that one.

Plus you'll be able to text them a question to you if you'd like.

We'll give you that text number later on.

So I got a tattoo in the bottom of my foot when people asked me to see it.

I kicked them in the face.

It reads, think fast.

Pretty upset the commercial and television these days, especially the candy commercial,

especially the M&Ms candy commercial.

You see the M&Ms candy commercial where the M&Ms are hanging out with that guy.

They're partying up laugh at having a great time.

So I go down to the store buy a bag of M&Ms open up the bag and they're all dead.

And their arms and legs are missing.

Last night as I got home about a half past 10,

there was a woman I thought I knew in the arms of another man.

I kept my cool eye in no fool.

Let me tell you what happened then.

I packed some clothes and I walked out and I ain't going back again.

So take a letter, Maria.

I'd dress it to my wife.

See I will be coming home.

Gotta start a new life.

Take a letter, Maria.

I'd dress it to my wife.

Send a copy to my lawyer.

Gotta start a new life.

You've had many things but most of all I could say right there it on me.

And it's nice like this I feel.

You've always been close to me.

What's wrong with you all night?

You're trying to build a good life.

Onward and lonely as you just cast me away.

You'll take a letter, Maria.

No, I'd dress it to my wife.

See I will be coming home.

Gotta start a new life.

636 of WRJ and RB Greaves.

Take a letter, Maria.

Get some solid gold for you.

WRJ and thanks for joining us here.

hometown radio refreshed.

Civic media station.

We have the new management team at Festival Lawrence and Memorial Hall coming up this morning.

And a little after seven o'clock seven o'clock six here.

Plus we got tickets to get boy to star girl at the Racine Theater Guild this half hour.

What a great show that is.

That's just a great performance by such young people.

The talent pool they have at the Racine Theater Guild is just outstanding.

Now these are high school kids.

I happen to know one of them personally.

I know his parents.

I know him and all families got it.

All families talented.

You know what happens when a family like that is talented.

There can't be so much talent in the world.

So he took it out of my family.

It's not.

It's not that talented.

My wife is teaching me piano.

I tried to learn instruments when I was a kid.

I just couldn't get it.

You know how people look at sheet music and see music on the sheet.

I see dots.

She's teaching me doing real well.

I could play now.

I play with one hand right hand.

I'm trying to do both hands soon.

And I don't have to look at the keys.

I just read the music.

And I can't.

I don't have to look at the piano.

So I'm getting there.

I mean, these are real basic songs.

I mean, I'm not playing, you know, rock monon off yet.

But I'm getting there with some basic music.

So, you know, hopefully I'll be able to play a piano

and entertain myself someday.

Right now, the songs I'm playing are not very entertaining.

But anyway, what a talent pool they were seeing Theater Guild.

So we have two tickets with pair of tickets to give away this morning

for the Saturday, April 20th, 2PM performance.

And so you want to win these.

We got to stay tuned for them.

We're giving away this half hour.

I'll give you a chance to win.

639 at WRGN.

We've got showers and thunderstorms possible today with a hundred or sixty four.

Right now it's foggy.

I stuck my beak out the door a few seconds ago and there's fog.

Where that come from was clear when I came in this morning.

Now it's foggy.

So be careful driving out there.

Don't tailgate people in the morning.

If you're running late, you're running late.

Don't put your life and jeopardy because you're running late this morning.

Okay.

Got the Padres and the Brewers playing baseball today here in the walkie.

It's eleven thirty five this morning on WRGN.

The business man special needs to go a little business person special now.

Right.

But that's where they call it.

The business man special.

Because all these guys just take off from work and go see a ballgame with some.

Yeah.

I'm not feeling well pretty soon.

They're on camera at a ball game.

Six forty WRGN.

The owners of OJ Simpson's white Bronco.

That's the famous one.

We saw you know that slow speed chase.

They're selling it.

They want one and a half million dollars.

It's the thirty th anniversary of the Bronco chase.

And there's been renewed interest since the death of OJ Simpson.

It's probably worth it.

I mean, you can put that on display.

People want to come and see it.

I mean, it's a story car.

I mean, that's the Bronco chase.

People who were around.

Remember that they remember where they are when they saw the Bronco chase.

Do on TV.

You ever wonder where all that Girl Scout cookie money is going?

All right.

A lot of it comes from me, by the way.

Get a lot of Girl Scout cookies.

A Girl Scout troop near Nashville, Tennessee raised a bunch of money selling cookies this year.

And used it to help people find their lost pets.

What a great idea.

They installed microchip scanners at their local library and a nearby animal shelter.

So now anyone who finds a lost dog who can bring them to the library or an animal shelter

have him scanned and find the owner.

What a great idea.

You know, I love first of all, I love Girl Scout cookies.

But these young women are doing such good things.

This is just one place near Nashville, one Girl Scout troop.

I was not meant.

I was in my rear of the explorers, which is the Boy Scouts.

I spent a couple of years with the Boy Scouts and the police boys club.

I was a member of two growing up.

The BBC, the police boys club.

We had to keep people out of trouble.

So I decided to set up with the police boys club.

My mother did that.

And these great things.

I mean, you should sign your kid up for some of these programs out there.

I mean, not only do you learn good things, but just stay with kids that are good on the right path.

I mean, it's such a good thing to do.

This chair squeaks.

I'm going to get some WD 40 on that chair.

All right.

New study says that seeing the ghost of a deceased pet may help people grieve for my case.

Help you freak out.

What if you sign the ghost of your pet mouths?

I think I would freak out.

I think so.

All right.

We all know about that Billy Joel catastrophe on CBS on Sunday night.

All right.

What happened was it was the Billy Joel 100th live from Madison Square Garden show.

But there was one problem.

The broadcast ran good.

It got caught by two minutes short in the Eastern Central time zones due to local news coming

on now fans are pretty upset.

What happened was they started the special 30 minutes late due to the 2024 Masters tournament.

Happens a lot on Sunday night on CBS when big brothers in season the TV show it's always

running late.

And the problem becomes if you set your DVR, you missed the beginning or the end of it,

you know, because it'll be cut off.

Well, that's what happened.

Now Billy Joel fans were upset.

He was doing the big finale.

Piano man.

And right in the middle of the song boom.

They cut to they cut to local news.

CBS issued a apology called it a network programming error and to make amends this Friday

night, they'll repair the entire concert at nine p.m. Eastern time.

Now, if you're a fan of the show, they're cutting because they got to they got to cut something

in order to put that on.

So they're getting rid of something.

You'll probably be ticked off at CBS for that.

But they're trying to make amends for which is nice.

A family in Oklahoma got their nine year old son in octopus for his birthday on gift.

Okay.

But immediately it gave birth to 50 octopus babies, 50 octopi.

It became a big problem.

Now instead of one octopus, they got 51 octopus, octopi.

That he said, octopi.

Well, I have to admit, I didn't see this coming.

The Miss AI pageant is coming.

The first beauty pageant for AI generated models.

Now, if they're AI generated, they're probably going to be perfect with no flaws whatsoever.

And that does, that's no good.

You got to see some flaws in people.

That's what makes people individuals.

Everybody's got a flaw on that pageant.

I wonder who's going to show it.

They show it on a Sunday night at CBS.

You probably won't find out who wins because they're going to have to cut it for local news.

So we'll see if CBS runs that.

If you've gotten your scolding, oh, well, we're going to skip that.

We don't have a very scolding this morning.

Looking to lose weight.

Here's a fun fact for you.

A cup of live jellyfish provides just five calories.

One third of the amount of a cup of celery.

So in case you're looking to expand your palate and lose some weight,

a cup of jellyfish in the morning.

Just the thought of that makes me want to, you know, heave in the morning.

Hey, if you have overdue materials from the library,

I got to tell our library folks when they came in about this one.

Somebody in Northern California just returned a library book.

A hundred years overdue.

The last time we was checked out was 1927.

So 96, oh, 90 with a 90, 96 years ago, 97 years ago,

the library decided to wave the fine.

If they didn't wave the fine, it would have been $1,700.

I do a survey out 82% of people admit they've forgotten their anniversary at some point in a relationship.

68% of people would consider breaking up with a significant other.

If they forgot an anniversary, I can never forget, you know why?

It's on the inside of my wedding ring.

If I ever forget, I just take it off and take a look.

Now, it's hard to see, but, you know, I can make it out or just remember the anniversary day.

You really believe this?

New research shows that looking at photos of food online may help curb overeating.

So if you want to down a bag of M&M's, just look at pictures of M&M's online instead and you'll be good.

Now, if this was the case, we'd all go to a restaurant, look at the menu,

check out the pictures of the food and walk out.

So obviously it doesn't work.

Just have to look at the pictures of food.

We'd look at them, get up and walk out of a restaurant because they have great pictures on the menu.

And sometimes the food actually looks like the picture.

If you trust online reviewers, or it's just a bunch of strangers, I don't know what they're talking about.

54% of Americans say they do trust online reviews in general, and it's helpful.

One in five said, you usually can't trust them.

So when you do rely on those reviews the most, well, what happens?

The poll looked at different products and services, how many people use reviews to help them decide.

The one thing we use them for is restaurants.

With us, it's hotels.

Before we sign up on the hotel, before we go on vacation,

we just look at the reviews to see, you know, what they are.

The most unusual one we found one, this was unusual.

I hope it was unusual.

The guy said he got in the room pulled back the machine.

It was a pool of blood in the bed.

I think I would run out.

We went to a hotel once on Route 66.

Now we generally stay at the chain week, we pick is a particular chain which they always have good hotels.

This one was at Route 66.

We belong to the Illinois Route 66 Association.

And they had these hotels picked out for us.

We got in there and it was so bad.

My wife sat and she said, I'll sit in the lobby tonight.

She did not sit in the lobby.

At the hotel of choice, for instance, that was about two blocks away.

So we moved, but they gave us our money back at the hotel because they had to pay it advance.

And it was bad.

All right, we've got tickets to Stargirl to give away right now.

even to the pet rat she carries in her backpack.

She's a free spirit, eccentric personality goes against the peer pressure to conform.

So now the classmates have to deal with her.

It's really a heartwarming story you'll feel good.

You might even cry a little bit.

It's really a good play.

Stargirl.

And I think what you'll do is afterwards you'll do what my wife and I did think about our high school days.

This was an interesting radio fact.

In Canadian radio, there's a rule.

You have to play like 30% Canadian context.

What happens is a disjacking on the radio has to play three out of every ten songs.

She has a ton of air playing in Canada because she had a lot of hit songs and she's Canadian.

Here in this country you can play whatever you feel like it.

We're not at this level of technology yet,

but a 38-year-old man in Illinois was pulled over after a cop saw him sleeping behind the wheel of a Tesla on autopilot.

The driver claimed he was just tired but he wasn't sleeping.

You know, I had something about somebody sleeping behind the wheel.

I'd have to be driving on the freeway at 70 miles an hour and the person next to you is sleeping,

but going 70 miles an hour.

I don't think we're ready for that yet.

I'm not ready for it.

I try out these six phrases to help you like people more, especially people like me.

If you say sir or ma'am, people like that.

They'll like you more.

You're welcome.

Here's what's happening.

How can I help?

I'll find that for you.

I believe in you.

Somebody said I believe in you.

I think they're kind of creepy.

I wouldn't want that.

All right.

Here's a great use of the internet right now.

There's a tool on Miriam Webster's website.

That's a dictionary people.

They'll let you see what words were born in the same year.

You were born.

So let's say you were born in 1988.

You'll find some of the words that were born that year.

Channel surfing, ebook, Gangsta, Shadowlands Club.

Really?

That wasn't before 1988.

A hyperlink, mush pit, road rage.

Road rage was there all the time.

And you to browse.

You check it out at Miriam Webster.com slash time traveler.

I wonder what I don't want to know what you were to came around when I was born.

All right.

What's the biggest or hardest decision you've ever had in your life?

A new surfing asked 2,000 adults.

It's when they came up with kids.

The number one answer.

The most hardest decision because kind of changes everything in your life.

I mean, a kid.

I remember I was living in Atlanta.

It was at a radio station in Atlanta, Georgia.

And I then wife called me and said, I'm pregnant.

And the guy sitting across from me at the radio station said, all the, all the blood drained

out of my head.

And I was completely like, he's just turned so pale.

And yeah, children, how about getting married, getting at the forest, a big move to a new

home and quitting a job?

Yeah.

Those are all big things.

I used to hate quitting jobs because only once had I ever quit in anger.

The rest of them I quit, but I really didn't want to.

They were very nice people.

I just time to move on.

All right.

A survey asked people, how long you have to wait before you can openly discuss spoilers

for TV shows.

Sixty-four percent of us think a week or less is fair.

Only two percent said more than a month.

You know, my sister and I want survivor.

And we don't want to ruin it for each other.

So I'm very nervous about telling her what happened because I'm so excited.

I didn't see what happened last night that jerk got moaning off.

Oh, what a stupid idiot.

She said, I didn't want that episode yet.

Why are you telling me this?

All right.

the years, including the very, very first broadcast of this station in 1926 took place
