I don't want to sound like I'm bragging, but I have to put medicine on my back using
a spatula.
It's fun going into the drug store when they ask, can we help you find anything?
And I have to say, yes, a spatula, low-trimon, and a hand-me-air.
Are you intrigued, my lady?
I've got my little red riding hood, Walgreens basket.
If you could direct me to the proper aisles.
My dermatologist said he needed to do a biopsy of a little mole on the tip of my nose, and
I was like, wow, that sounds like it's going to hurt.
He said, don't worry, we're going to numb it first with a painkiller.
I said, how?
He said, we're going to puncture a sharp needle into the tip of your nose.
So you're not canceling the pain, you're just rescheduling it.
I can't wait forever to know that if you need to, time won't let me, time won't let
me, time won't let me.
It's 6-0-A to WArchie and Radio.
I'm Don Rosin.
I want to thank you for joining me here on this, was it Thursday?
All right, got a beautiful morning in progress, mostly clear, you know, I'm looking down
victory avenue this morning, down by the lake, what a beautiful sunrise, there's only
one negative.
When we set the clocks forward this weekend, it'll be pitch dark at this hour in the morning,
and I won't see that sunrise anymore.
I can't wait forever, even though you want me to, I can't wait forever to know that if
you need to, time won't let me.
This is the first song I ever played in the radio.
I was in the Explorer Post, the Boy Scouts, and the radio station held the Explorer Post
at the radio station, and I remember they let me go on the air one day, and this was the
song.
Long time ago.
All right, Cloudy today with a high-tier 43 degree is Cloudy tonight, lows around 39
rain tomorrow with a high-tier 44, partly sunny Saturday, sunny on Sunday, gorgeous weather
highs in the mid 40s.
Right now it's 36 degrees, mostly clear, beautiful sunrise, as I said, just gorgeous
out there.
Coming up this morning at 706, a familiar name is going to be here in our WRJN Historical
Marker Series number five, Pete Ferrand is going to be here.
He was our afternoon announcer for many years at WRJN Radio, so Pete will be in here today,
what he's been up to.
We'll find out how he started his years here at WRJN, and we'll make that historical
marker number five, Pete Ferrand at WRJN 706 this morning is coming in here.
He'll be surprised when he's been up to since he left here.
You can still hear him, but not on the radio.
We'll talk about that coming up a little later on, okay?
What else do I have?
We have state fair tickets to give away today to Riley Green, platinum artist, recording
artist, country music, keys coming to the state fair Wednesday, August 7th on the main
stage.
You can win a pair of tickets a little later on this morning.
Do you know we're right in the middle of procrastination week?
Yes, national procrastination week.
I would have told you sooner, but it took me a while to get around to it.
If you're wondering why procrastinate research is from Ohio State University, they actually
have researchers looking to this.
They reported on the link between our attitudes and our actions, particularly when we're
approaching tasks, so we don't want to do.
That's pretty unsurprising, and maybe that's because we usually know while we're putting
something off, but we still do it anyway.
How much was this study costing us or costing Ohio State University?
That's an expensive study to find out.
Nothing.
All right, the Academy Awards are coming up this Sunday tomorrow morning.
Brett Hoffman will be here with his Oscar picks, and on Monday morning will have Nell
Minnow, the movie mom will be in here to analyze the winners and losers of the Academy
Awards for Sunday night of the Oscars, and it was 10 years ago.
Remember 2014, the Academy Awards, Ellen generous took a star-studded selfie.
Remember that?
She got in the audience and took a selfie, believe it or not, 10 years.
That's how long it's been.
And in those 10 years, bad things have happened to everybody in that photo, almost everybody
in the photo.
Ellen DeGeneres, Kevin Spacey, Angelina Jolie, and Brad Pitt.
I think Bradley Cooper was in the picture if I'm not mistaken, I could be wrong on that.
But he had good things happen to him, but the rest of them, all bad things have happened.
They were calling it the curse of the selfie.
If I was Jimmy Kimmel Sunday night, I wouldn't do a selfie with anybody.
All right, here's what you've been waiting for, the joining of two forces.
This is like the, the joining of the Hatfields and McCoy's.
I hop and Apple B's, they're owned by the same parent company and the CEO of that company
says they're creating dual branded locations.
In other words, it's going to be one storefront.
I hop and Apple B's, they'll have separate seating areas with the same kitchen, the same
white staff.
And now you can get a margarita with your stack of pancakes, isn't that great?
I told you you were waiting for that.
All right.
A study found that driving is the third most enjoyable way we get around.
You won't believe what number one is walking where they do this to who said walking is the
best way to get around.
All right.
Followed by riding a bike or a scooter, let's see, after that came a ferry or boat riding
as a passenger in a car riding on a plane, being on a train and riding the bus came and
dead last.
Oh, pick walking is the best way to get around.
All right.
If you're on a first date and you don't want a second date, just do all the stuff on
this list and you'll be guaranteed you won't get a second date.
Someone asked people the name, the top food related turnoffs, if they are being rude to
your server, chewing with your mouth open, talking with your mouth full, spitting something
back onto your plate.
Do you think would you do that on a first date?
Go, this takes your bubble.
We could do that in front of a date, picking your teeth, slurping your soup, eating something
off the other person's plate without even asking.
I know people sometimes do, they'll take a fry of someone's plate that's kind of nervy,
licking your knife, criticizing the food if you stayed in and, you know, your date
cooked it, and licking your fingers clean at the dinner table.
That's just gross.
Yeah, that would be a, that would be a date killer.
All right.
What's your favorite snack from your childhood that you wish would still be on the menu
in 2024?
Someone looked at Google search data to find the top snacks we're nostalgic for.
There they are.
Dunker Roos.
By the way, you can still get them.
They were discontinued in 2012, but General Mills brought them back in 2020.
Oreo cakesters.
I remember those.
Those were good.
You still get those two.
Nabisco brought them back in 2022, bagel bites, they actually never went away, except
in Canada.
Tab.
Oh, my parents had that.
That was the worst diets of Bill Lawrence when he worked here.
It was our morning guy Bill Lawrence.
It was our afternoon guy too at one time.
He used to drink tab all the time came out in 1963, one of the first diet sodas on the
market.
It got discontinued three years ago.
They were in the pink cans.
Remember that big tab word on it?
Yeah.
It was just awful.
Fruitopia.
It was a line of fruit flavored drinks.
Coconut cold to put out in 1994.
They stopped selling them in 2003.
Crystal Pepsi.
Remember that?
It looked like 7 up, but it was Pepsi.
They debuted in 1992 and flopped.
It still has some die hard fans.
They brought it back for a limited time in 2016, 2018 and for the 30th anniversary in 2022.
If it flopped, it was that bad.
Why would you bring it back at all?
Who does granola bars discontinued in 2017, basically there were candy bars masquerading
as a healthy snack or bet strengths?
Hmm.
Remember those flavored water with little edible balls floating in it.
I don't want anything floating in my drinks.
Came out in 1996 immediately flopped.
They were gone by 1998.
Waffle crisp cereal vaguely remember that came out in 1996 discontinued in 2018.
It's brought it back again in 2021 and rice crispy treats cereal.
I don't think I remember that came out in the 90s got pulled from the shelves at some
point.
Is there anything that for my childhood, I want back?
I don't think so.
I don't remember eating anything healthy when I was a kid.
Now the food I have now is good enough.
I haven't eaten anything healthy and I was a little kid.
I just eat junk.
Just playing junk and garbage.

Singapore made a deal with Taylor Swift to be the exclusive Southeast Asian stop on her
eras tour.
Other nations in the region are mad they're missing out on the economic boost those
concerts bring.
So you're telling me that Taylor Swift gets paid not to perform in certain countries.
That's that.
Well you have that kind of power.
That's pretty darn good.
That is just great.
You can pull that off.
Kudos to Taylor Swift, by the way, as she writes her own songs, publishes her own music,
sings her and performs her own songs, and now she's telling countries you don't want
me to come, you got to pay me just to come to your country.
I think that's great.
She's got one powerful person, good for her.
618 at WRJN, cloddy today with 143, cloddy lows 39 tonight, grain tomorrow with 144,
but the weekend, partly sunny Saturday, 143, the eye, sunny on Sunday with 144 right now.
Mostly clear skies gorgeous out there, 36 degrees at WRJN, a civic media station, hometown
radio, refreshed on your Thursday morning, March 7th.
I said I don't know, I don't want to doubt you, we're gonna call my FBI, I'm sitting in
a nail for Batman, with your father's power.
Two red and booze on my website, full of people who are doing wrong.
Here's the trial I followed by the A-Main, run out to the summer season song.
At 621 at WRJN Radio, thanks for joining us, I'm Don Rosen on your Thursday morning.
All right, 26 year old woman in Indiana, mother of the year, she was arrested.
The police said she let her 12 year old boy drive a car and danger in others on the road.
She later told police, she didn't know 12 year olds weren't allowed to drive on the road on public roads.
You know what frightens me, these people are among us.
I mean, I can be shopping at the store and this idiot is among us.
This idiot's gonna go to the polls and vote for my next leader, my next president.
I didn't know 12 year olds couldn't drive on public roads is what she told the police.
Hey, hold the door, American Airlines ordered 85 more Boeing 737 max jets.
Are those the jets where the door blew off at 16,000 feet and ripped the kids close off them?
Those are the jets, right? Yeah, all right, but they want 85 more of them.
Hopefully, they'll check the bolts on the on the 85 that are coming in.
They always do that after there's a tragedy.
Now they start checking those kind of things.
Showbiz auction news, Anthony Daniels, remember Anthony Daniels?
Yes, you do. He played C3PO in the Star Wars movies.
He's auctioning off his entire collection.
The head he wore in return of the Jedi should fetch about a million dollars.
Now you can make your mom's biggest fantasy come true.
Colin Firth's wet shirt from pride and prejudice and the auction block.
And that booth from the sopranos finale.
Remember they were sitting at the booth and they played the journey song.
Was it don't stop believing or something?
That booth just sold for $82,600.
Yeah, but in your living room there or your dining room, eat at the soprano of the booth.
That's pretty good.
More airlines news for you here.
That explained how she got a call from United Airlines saying that they'd found her luggage
that she had that they had lost after a flight she took four years ago.
She was going home to Oregon from a business trip in Chicago.
The bag in Houston was in Houston after was found in Honduras.
You know, my daughter once went to Canada.
She met a girl on a cruise ship.
And the family invited her to come visit up in Canada.
They had been talking on the phone, writing letters to each other this before the internet.
Before you know all the social media stuff and say we're writing letters to each other.
And she went to spend a weekend with us up in Canada.
So we packed her bag, took her to the airport.
Mitchell airport.
And she took off got to Canada and called me crying from the airport.
Her luggage was lost.
Not only were her clothes in there, but the gift she actually got from the airport.
She actually got from the family was in there.
So I call the airline, of course.
Well, well, Saranche Farad will have it by next week.
Well, next week she's in Canada for a weekend.
So I actually went to the airport and there was her bag.
It never got on the plane.
I said, that's her bag right there.
And they said, we'll get it on the next flight.
And they did and she got her bag and had a good weekend.
But look, I had to go schlepping to the airport to go get her bag for her.
Yeah, the people at the airline, well, we should find it in a couple of days.
By next week we'll have it.
No, you won't.
You'll have it today.
My daughter's waiting for it.
Don't tell me you'll have it in a couple of days.
You'll have it now.
All right.
What else I got for you this morning?
Apparently you're working with a bunch of thieves at the office.
One in 12 people say they've stolen a coworker's lunch from the fridge.
It worked.
3.6% say they regularly steal their coworker's lunches.
Really?
I didn't know that coworker didn't spit on their lunch.
Oh, yeah, that's a good thing.
Put a sign on there.
On your lunch, lunch, pale lunch, bag, whatever you have, or top of wear, saying, I spit in my food.
And I'll definitely won't steal it.
That's good.
See, I come up with these great solutions for you.
And I think you appreciate them.
There are some phrases people use when they're about to lie to you, or say something harsh,
to distance themselves from it just a little bit.
I hate to be the one to tell you, but don't take this the wrong way, but as far as I know,
and here's one that always gets me to be perfectly honest with you.
That means they're not going to be honest with you.
First of all, if you have to tell someone, well, now I'm going to be honest with you.
I'll be perfectly honest with you.
I was lying every time I spoke to you, but now I'm going to be perfectly honest with you.
I hate when people say that.
I watch a lot of these police videos online, and what's that show?
Police live, cop live.
What's the name of that show?
I'm patrol live.
Are weekends?
I watch that too.
And whenever they arrest somebody, they say, well, I'll be honest with you.
Well, what will you lie two minutes ago to me?
Of course you should be honest.
You go to jail if you lie to the police.
All right.
Here's some tricks to make everyday life just a tad easier.
When you go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, and I've tried this.
This is an old trick, and I've used this.
Cover one of your eyes, so your eye will still be adjusted to the dark when you go back to bed.
It's really neat.
It does work.
So in other words, you know sometimes you go to the bathroom, turn the light, and the light is so bright in there in your eyes.
And then when you leave the bathroom, you can't see anything because now your eyes are adjusted to the light, not the darkness.
But if you cover one eye when you go to the bathroom,
and then when you leave the bathroom, use that eye that you covered up.
You'll see how bright the dark room looks.
It does work.
I've done that one before.
And keep an ongoing list of birthday present ideas on your phone.
In other words, next, when you have an idea for a birthday, no birthdays are coming up.
Put it on your phone is one of the ideas.
On my phone, I've got a ton of ideas.
Not for birthdays, but every time I get an idea for something, I put it on my phone.
And then when I need an idea, I go right to my phone, look for the idea.
Hmm.
A survey asked women if they'd rather marry a guy who's a tech entrepreneur or a football player.
45% said a tech guy.
Just 5% said the football player, which means women were nine times more likely to go for the geek than the jock.
Survey also found 58% of people think being called a tech geek is a compliment.
But they didn't tell you was 85% of women would go for the disc chocky any time.
They love those DJs.
Now they didn't say that.
They never even showed up with 1%.
A poll asked Americans whether certain activities count as sports or not.
52% said bowling is a sport.
Of course, bowling is a sport.
How about fishing is fishing a sport?
Well, 33% said, yeah, fishing is a sport.
Of course, fishing is a sport.
Let's see.
Cheerleading.
33% said cheerleading is a sport.
28% said pool.
Like, you know, billiards is a sport.
14% said chess is a sport.
Really?
11% said poker is a sport.
Now we're getting kind of iffy.
And 6% say competitive eating is a sport.
Now that is a sport.
Especially when you see that hot dog eating contest on the 4th of July of Nathan's in Coney Island.
And that guy, whatever his name is, each 88 hot dogs.
Oh, gross.
629 at WRG.
88 hot dogs.
Clotty today with a high here.
43 degrees.
Clotty tonight lows 39.
Rain tomorrow.
Highs 44 sunny this weekend.
Highs in the mid 40s.
Clear.
Beautiful morning.
36 degrees.
At home town radio refreshed.
WRGN.
A civic media station.
I don't know much about global warming, but I do know they stopped debating it.
Something's happening in 20 years.
What are we going to tell our children and grandchildren?
Because they're going to ask us.
They're going to come to us.
They're going to be like, did you know about global warming?
And we're going to be like, I mean, I heard about it.
I brought my own cup to Starbucks.
There's floods.
There's fires.
There's a pandemic.
In biblical times, these would have been messages from God.
Like, we don't know God might be up there right now.
Like, are they going to get a piece of this?
And God's assistance at no, sir.
Send the entire state to California on fire.
Did they get the message?
One woman is saying it's space lasers, sir.
What about the pandemic I send a plague?
Blaming the guy who came up with Microsoft Word.
Yeah.
Oh!
なんです of a man on the face of the sun
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I ride the moody blues
I'm just a singer in a rock and roll band 637 to WRJ and radio.
I just took my beak out the door.
It is beautiful this morning.
Wake up.
Stick your head out the window.
Get out there this morning.
Enjoy this wonderful day that was given to us.
You only get one of these.
You only get one day on Thursday, March 7th, 2024.
After that, it's gone.
So enjoy it while you can.
Put a smile on your face.
Don't steal your coworkers lunch today.
Don't do anything mischievous.
Don't rob a bank.
Don't hurt another person.
Just enjoy the day.
Sit there.
Look at the sunrise this morning and smile.
And listen to WRJ.
And of course that always helps.
All right.
So just enjoy the day.
We've got some news headlines for you right now.
Stuart J. Wattles in our news center this morning keeping an eye on things for us.
It's a not guilty play for a fatal recene shooting last September at a preliminary hearing
at 18 year old Bernard Edwards, the third denied the charges of first degree intentional homicide
in the shooting death of Byron Beatles.
What does this say?
Someone matching Edwards description was the shooter.
Police claim Edwards was the person seen on surveillance footage ditching a gun into a sewer.
His attorneys moved to dismiss based on a lack of evidence.
Edwards was ordered to stand trial and is due for a status conference on April 22nd.
The cause of an eerie street fire and receipt is still being investigated.
Fire crews were called out of the round two yesterday afternoon to a home where everyone had already gotten out.
Officials say there's a lot of exterior damage to the home.
But the first floor mainly impacted.
There were no injuries reported.
Next week, the names on the Kenosha ballot will be available for comment.
The mayoral candidates David Bogdala and Linda Spotsworth along with candidates for the circuit court will
to participate in a public political forum on March 14th.
The event marks the inaugural public forum for judicial candidates in this election cycle with Frank Gagliardi
and Heather Iverson confirming their participation.
Apart from pre-selected questions, audience members will have the opportunity to submit questions for the candidates during the forum.
Those are the stories that Stuart J. Wattles our news director is watching for us today.
And he'll be updating us. Plus, he'll do a, he'll have a special report tonight on the state of the union address with President Biden.
So we've got Stuart out there. He's going to work late tonight and still supply us with news.
First thing in the morning.
The guy's amazing. It's 639 at WRJN coming up at 706 this morning.
It's another WRJN historical marker number five with Pete Ferrand.
We're going to talk about peach years here at WRJN.
And we're going to archive it.
So 100 years from now, people will say, who is this Pete foreign, Pete Ferrand.
Pete Ferrett. Who is this guy?
Let's listen to this thing he did back in 2024 with Don Rosen.
And now Pete Ferrand coming up at 706 this morning.
That should be a lot of fun. I like doing those.
All right. Survey asked people if they found your two walls to switch careers at the age of 41.
Hmm, 31% of people said all ages think about changing their career at least once or twice a month.
So you're not, it's never too old. Think about this. Colonel Sanders.
Colonel Harlan Sanders started Kentucky fried chicken at 865.
He had the Bluebird Cafe in Louisville. I think it was Louisville.
He had the Bluebird Cafe and at 865, he said, let us send this nationwide.
And that's how he started Kentucky fried chicken at 865.
Now I did run into him once.
I was working in Atlanta at WSB radio and right across the street from our radio station
was a hamburger stand called Zestos.
The worst milkshakes they did. They just they had no flavor to them whatsoever.
But you can walk there and have dinner at night.
So we usually do that walk over there and get a bad hamburger and bad milkshake.
I don't know if Zestos is still there anymore. I got to check that out.
Anyway, so we're in Zestos one day. It's about five, six o'clock at night.
And in works in walks Colonel Sanders with an entourage of people.
And I was with the guy from the station.
I said, that looks like the guy from Kentucky fried chicken.
And sure enough, it was.
So my friend ran over back to the radio station because we had a TV station too, Channel 2.
And they said, Colonel Sanders is across the street.
They said, where is he? He said, it's Zestos.
Let's do get Zestos. I guess getting a hamburger.
I don't know what he's doing there. We didn't talk to him.
So the guy in the report from Channel 2 brought a cameraman with him.
Ran across the street and interviewed Colonel Sanders who was wearing the, you know,
white suit jacket with the tie and the, not a bullet tie.
But I think with the kind of tie that was in the interview to him.
And they said, why are you here at Zestos?
And he said, you can only eat so much chicken.
He was in town doing a promotional thing.
And he was hungry and they passed Zestos.
And he said he was in the mood for a bad hamburger and a bad milkshake.
No, he didn't say that. But yeah.
So imagine to sit there eating a hamburger at a local hamburger joint.
And he said, I gotta go.
You know, I'm going to have a son walks Colonel Sanders.
And again, he had an entourage for people with him.
But he started Kentucky bright chicken at age 65.
You know, a lot of people started career changes when they got older.
So not impossible.
I study found you're probably going to wind up settling down with someone who's around
the same height as you.
And it's not a choice. It's in your jeans.
That is so wrong.
I'm six foot three.
My wife is like five two.
So don't tell me about the same height.
No, not even close.
I don't buy that for one second.
I study found which names are connected with the highest paying jobs.
So if you want your kid to make big money, go with the names Oscar,
George, Lily or Isabella.
And the boy names Jack and Olivia.
Really come up with that.
That sounds like a lot of hogwash.
We waste an average of three hours a day on boring, repetitive computer tasks at office
jobs.
According to this new study, here are the tasks we hate doing most of the office.
Manual data entry, email, organizing digital files into the right folders,
compiling reports and managing invoices.
And I gotta say something.
I've been very fortunate in life.
I've only had one job in my entire life as radio.
I sold real estate for a couple of months while I was in radio, though.
I never got out of radio.
But I'd never worked where I had to deal with the public based on which is good for the public.
I never had to deal with, I never had another job.
So I don't know what it's like.
When I turned 18 years old, I got a job in radio as a janitor, but I was in radio.
And I've been a radio ever since.
So it's, I don't know what it's like to have another job.
You talk to people like my daughter said about 18 different jobs.
She started very early.
She worked in cousin subs, worked to pick and save.
And then, you know, once you got into adulthood, she had this, you know, specific jobs.
Work for a car dealership for like 15, 18 years.
And her current job is in the health industry, working for a gym.
So yeah, but no, not me.
Odd but true.
Odd but true.
Steve Jobs picked the name Apple because he was on a diet of nothing.
But fruits and vegetables when the company was starting up.
And he said, hmm, how about Apple?
There has never been an iPhone 2.
They went from the original iPhone right to iPhone 3G.
Huh.
Wonder why they never had an iPhone 2.
What are the perks of being single forever?
Some of the best ones we heard are only takes five seconds between the impulse to leave the house and leaving.
You only have to go to one family's events for the holidays.
And you can sleep in the middle of the bed with your limbs spread everywhere.
You know, I tried that.
My wife had a bed cough.
So she was sleeping in the other room while she had the cough.
So she wouldn't get me up at night.
And you'd think that I'd stretch out on the bed, but I didn't.
I stayed on my side.
I don't know why.
You know, all those years are staying on my side with, you know, a threat.
Don't ever come on my side of the bed.
Or I'll, you know, socket one because I'm trying to sleep here.
But now I didn't stretch out.
What's the age where you finally figure out the meaning of life?
Hmm.
People really start searching for a sense of meaning in their 20s.
And search continues until around age 60 is right at age 60.
We figure out the meaning of life.
Or in my case, just give up.
We're not looking anymore.
We decided to call it quits.
Meaning of what is the meaning of life?
I have no idea what the meaning of life is.
All right.
What else we got for you here this morning?
A doctor says the most chairman-fested spot in the average hotel room might be the chair in the corner.
You know, I never thought about that.
But it's probably true.
Chairs often can often be made hard to, hard to clean fabric in a poultry.
And it definitely not clean like sheets and towels.
You know, my wife said, and she every time we go to a hotel,
first thing she wipes down is the remote control for the television.
Because you know, people take that to bed with them.
They're itching at scratch in parts that you really don't want to see itch and scratch.
And they never clean those things.
It's what we do.
That's the first thing we do.
She brings some disinfectants and wipes.
And she cleans the remote control first thing.
And then they switches on the wall.
That was never get cleaned either.
Hmm.
The hotels are pretty dirty, aren't they?
All right.
Let's try again here.
We got some tickets to give away to Riley Green Country.
Platinum recording artist coming to the Wisconsin State Fair Wednesday August 7th.
You want to go?
All right.
Give us a call right now.
262-634-9756.
262-634-WRJN.
262-634-9756.
And we'll be sending you to the Wisconsin State Fair main stage
to go, you won't be on the main stage.
You'll be in the audience watching Riley Green.
Which is a story about Riley Green the other day that people were throwing their women
or throwing their bras at him on stage.
Hmm.
All right.
What's your first name?
Mark.
Mark.
You want to go see Riley Green at the State Fair?
It's August 7th.
Yes, they do.
All right.
Hold on to live.
We're going to get you some tickets there.
Don't leave Mark.
Give me a second.
I'll get started with this.
And then we'll get you your tickets.
I promise you.
All right.
Riley Green.
They said the entire stage was covered in bras.
What what guy is throwing at him anything?
I got to know what to say with guys.
So yeah, women were throwing the bras at him on stage.
And they were hanging on the microphones.
They were everywhere.
Hmm.
All right.
Cloudy today with a high-neared 43 degrees.
Cloudy and lows 39 tonight.
Rain tomorrow with a high-neared 44.
But great for a gorgeous weekend.
Partly sunny.
Highs near 43.
Sunny with a high-neared 44 on Sunday.
Hey, Mark, did you check outside yet and see that beautiful sunrise?
Hey, Mark.
See there?
Got to be there somewhere, Mark.
Yes, I'm here.
Did you see that?
Did you see that beautiful sunrise this morning?
Yes, it's gorgeous.
Yeah, isn't it?
It's going to be a great day.
It's starting off pretty good for you anyway.
You got some tickets.
All right.
WRJN Radio.
Let's go over France to Civic Media Station.
It's getting near dawn.
When lights close the tired eyes.
I'll soon be with you my love.
Give you my dull surprise.
I'll be with you darling soon.
I'll be with you when the stars start falling.
I've been waiting so long to be where I'm going.
In the sunshine of your love.
I'm with you my love.
The light shining through on you.
In the sun with you my love.
It's the morning just we too.
Boy cream sunshine of your love.
That's coming from the Israeli Gears album.
Remember that?
Wow.
That's old.
I love it though.
My dad once took me.
My dad worked in New York City and he used to go to different buildings around Manhattan
and fixed pumps for the big skyscrapers and big buildings, big industrial buildings.
One day he had a job at the Fillmore East which was 1967 or so.
That's where like Jeffice here playing cream, played all those big groups at the Fillmore East in the Lower Manhattan.
And it went backstage and I didn't appreciate it then because it wasn't historic.
But now I'd love to go back there again and look at that stage where all these big acts appeared.
Yeah.
That was then this is now.
All right.
Some guy rigged an Nintendo switch with motion tracking software and get this.
So his pet fish could play video games.
And while he wasn't watching, they committed credit card fraud.
The game crashed, but his computer was still running.
And the fish somehow stole $4 from him, bought a new avatar, changed his username to a bunch of gibberish.
He eventually saw what was happening seven hours later reached out to Nintendo to explain what happened.
They reversed the $4 charge.
You know, you probably shouldn't leave your fish and charge of your social media accounts or any accounts for that matter.
You know, last night we do this now on a regular basis.
My son brought us a nature camera.
It's a, you leave it outside.
It could withstand the elements and it's motion detected.
So we sit out in the backyard.
You can't believe the wildlife running around your yard when the sun goes down and it's nighttime.
All these critters come out of nowhere.
So we see these possums running around the backyard, the possums, lots of squirrels during the daytime.
And then this giant head became right up to the camera as a cat.
And he's looking right in the lens.
And he says no, he's pressed against the lens.
He was staring at all the squirrels ran.
But to see all these critters out there in the middle of the night.
So I didn't see the last nights.
We said to that last night for with the bed and my wife retrieved it this morning.
So tonight we'll plug it into the TV and see what the heck is going on in my backyard at night.
You don't see any people back there though.
Good. I'm glad.
You know, it's the last thing you wanted to see who's that man running around my backyard.
Really odd, but true cannibalism is now illegal in the state of Idaho.
It has, you tell me they had to pass a law against that.
It is a maximum sentence of 14 years unless you had no choice on their extreme life threatening conditions.
As the only apparent means of survival.
Well, I'd love to see that court case on date line.
But how do you eat them?
It was snowing out.
So how much snow?
Well, it was only a dusting, but they were predicting up to two feet of snow.
But how much snow was on the ground?
Not a half an inch, but I was hungry and I was afraid to go to the stores.
So how do you eat Lester?
I'm sorry Lester.
They had that movie survival about in the Andes mountains when that plane crash happened.
And people were just eating one another.
Same thing with the Donner thing back in the 1800s.
The Donner party where they got stuck in the mountain somewhere out west.
And they started chowing down, I don't care how hungry I am.
I don't care how I've been hungry before not starving where I'm passing out.
But I can't imagine myself eating another human being.
I'm glad they made it against the law in Idaho, except in certain conditions.
Hard to believe but true with three-year-old in the UK just became one of the youngest people
ever accepted into Mensa.
That's right.
A three-year-old in Mensa is that organization for really, really smart people who have high IQs.
He taught himself to read by the age of 26 months in case you can't do the math on that
because you're not in Mensa.
That's a little over two years.
And can you already count to 100 in six different languages?
The kid is three years old.
How many languages can I count to?
I can count to 100 in any except English.
I can count to five in Spanish.
Uno, dos, tres, cat, sank.
I could do that in Spanish.
That's it folks.
Oh, in Hebrew I can do it too.
Olive Bay's Bay's Gimmel Dolly.
I could do that.
Yeah.
That's it folks.
That's all I could do.
This kid's three years old.
Here's a fun new trend.
A town in Maine just approved a five-year-old girl's permit to keep a unicorn in her backyard
if she ever finds one.
The LA County says that they did the same thing last month for a six-year-old who applied
for a unicorn keeping their backyard.
Just say yes.
It's never going to happen.
What if it does happen?
That's got to be creepy.
Yeah.
It could happen I guess.

All right, one more story here for you this morning.
According to a study, the key to ending an argument is, this is with your husband or wife,
just dim the lights.
I say if you dim the lights, everything should be fine.
The research has found bright lights make people more aggressive and emotional.
So they dim the lights, the couples were less upset and diffused the arguments.
I got to remember that next time my wife is screaming at me, I'll shut the lights off.
Let's see what happens, see what comes from that.
All right, it's going to be cloudy today.
Highs near 43, cloudy tonight, lows around 39, rained tomorrow with a hundred forty-four.
Partly sunny Saturday, 43, the high and sunny on Sunday with a hundred forty-four.
And if you make it through the weekend, Monday I'll tell you what the weather's going to be for that.
Right now it's clear the sun is coming up to just a gorgeous crisp morning out there.
