Well, I've been waiting, waiting this is all
But thinking nothing, nothing good wrong
Well, now I know, she has a built-in ability
To begin with this she sees
And now it seems I'm falling, falling for her
She sees the hat, is it my top share?
She meets you, she's in, I'm running to find hold of you
She sees the hat, is it my top share?
It is control, so I tell you
It's 6.07, I'm Don Rosen
Thank you for joining us here at WRJN Radio
hometown radio refreshed
And it is cold, you know they need to tell you this
But I have some good news, good news
Now it's minus 8, that's not the good news
When it was in my car, it was minus 11
It's set outside, but minus 8 now
That's not the good news, the good news is
Next Monday, at this time, it's going to be 36 degrees
Next Tuesday, a week from this Tuesday, 39, a week from this Wednesday, 40 degrees
Let's hope on the horizon, folks
Yeah, good morning, Packers over the Cowboys
4832, they move on
You know, everyone who is saying the Cowboys are going to roll all over the Packers
It's done, it's finished
It ain't finished
I turned on and off the game
I was listening part of it on WRJN
Then I turned on the TV, then WRJN
But I can't take the tension
So my wife was out there watching the game last night
And getting nervous at the end when the Packers
Excuse me, the Cowboys scored another touchdown
There were fights on the field and penalties
And she was getting upset
And I didn't want to hear about it
Because I can't take the tension
That's why I don't watch these games
I always come into the end
But yeah, I was very happy to see that the Packers won
4832 rolled over the Cowboys
Actually, it was worse than that
Because they only scored that last touchdown
Less few minutes, so it was
They doubled the Packers going into the fourth quarter
So yeah, that's good
No company bids this morning
The mouse on the computer is now working
It just stopped
In midstream, I don't know what happened to it
I don't know how these things work
I am a genius
Hey, coming up this morning at 706
We're going to have Part 2
WRJN Historical Marker 2
Kurt Walman's going to be in here
Talking about his two years
And I would guess
That out of all the people here at this radio station's history
He had the most jobs here
I was counting him up
I mean, he was in sales
He was in continuity
He was on the Aries program director
Four jobs he had here
He might have been
Yeah, he might have had
The most jobs here at any person
They were going to find out
Kurt's going to be here at 706 this morning
It's 609 at WRJN Radio
The forecast, cloudy, cold, highs near
Three today, cloudy, lows around
Minus nine tonight
Partly sunny with a high near three tomorrow
And as I said, a week from today
36, a week from tomorrow
39, a week from Wednesday
40, hope on the horizon
It's not going to be like this forever
You know, if you kept your car in shape
You shouldn't have a problem starting at this morning
It should start right up
It's going to go
Get that first
And you don't really have to let it warm up
You can take it right on the road
I mean, if you want to let the temperature warm up
You can do that
But yeah, mine just let out
A little squeak this morning
I have a little to car
So you shouldn't have a problem if your car is in decent shape
So yeah
Hey, no Friday was
Friday was happy quitter's day
The second Friday in January is called
Quitter's day
After a study in 2019 found it
Today, you're statistically most likely to
Pack it in and give up on your New Year's resolutions
80% of resolutions have supposedly been abandoned
By now
All right
Someone asked people to name unspoken office rules
That should never be broken
Do you agree with these?
Have you broken any of them?
Here we go, I think my glasses off for this
So I can read them properly
If you've been in a meeting forever
And your boss says, okay, anything else
Keep your mouth shut
Don't be efficient
It makes other people look bad
And your boss will just ask you to do more
If you're not busy, don't tell anyone
Okay
The third time you walk past someone in a day
Doesn't require a hello
Say hi the first time, not the second
Ignore them the third
You don't need to keep saying hello all day long
Never reheat something smelly like fish
Especially right before someone else uses the microwave
Unless you want to cross contaminated
Third food with your fish stink
If you don't want people using your coffee mug
Don't leave it in the kitchen
If you leave it there, it becomes a communal mug
Don't be the smelly person of the office
If your odor is more pungent than most
Invest in perfume or cologne
Although too much of that
To make you the smelly person too
Unless you have a private office
Never use your speaker phone
You should be mindful of how loud they are in general
Don't mess with other people's stuff
Like if someone out is out sick
Or they have extra ketchup packets in their desk
They're off limits
They're there that's not yours
And by the way they will notice they're missing
Don't complain about everything
Consistent negativity is in fun
If you agree with the person's take
And don't schedule meeting first thing
Monday or last things Friday
It's a great way to have people hate you
So how many of those things are you guilty of?
I'm not guilty of any of them
Let me look
No, I'm not guilty of am
I'm not guilty of anything on that list
I really don't do it
Well, I don't go to meetings here
And when I'm in the radio station I'm all alone
I don't bring food in
And we do have a microwave
But I don't think anybody uses it
So yeah
Six o'clock in the morning, no one's here with me
A guy in Texas claims Walmart racially profiled him
And violated his civil rights
When they falsely accused him of shoplifting
So he's suing them
For an even $100 million
Unlimited free shopping for life
Yeah, so which one do you think Walmart's gonna give him
Huh?
The Beatles used a high-pitched tone
That only cats and dogs can hear at the end of their song
A day in the life
That's from the magical mystery tour album
It was John Lemons' idea to put that in there
I played it in my house
I never tend to notice
Of the dogs reacted to it
Apollo, over 6,000 Americans found
35% don't care who wins the Super Bowl
But the team most people want to see
Win is
Oh, Dallas Cowboys ain't gonna happen this year
Sorry
Packers with that to rest
I guess you can make a drinking game out of anything
Four people robbed a high-end store in Washington D.C
This happened last Friday
We can go last Friday
They got away with more than $4,500 in designer handbags
The problem was they did the robbery
At five o'clock in the afternoon
They were caught because they were stuck in rush hour traffic
See, it's only planning
And you're gonna watch the time
A couple flying back to New Jersey after a vacation
In Mexico had their five-month-old daughter with them
And by the time they landed
A woman next to them had already crocheted a hat
For the kid to celebrate her first flight
Either she's fast and crocheting
Or that flight took an extra long time
One of the other
eBay has to pay a $3 million fine after employees sent live
Spiders, cockroaches
And other disturbing items
To the home of a man or a couple actually in Massachusetts
Who put out a newsletter critical of eBay
Two things
Get rid of those people
And I guess don't be too critical of eBay in the future
A church in Texas put up a rot iron fence to deter thieves
And the thieves stole the friends
Fence
Looking where to eat lunch today
Well McDonald's is the most expensive in Alaska
Sonoco there
It's the least expensive in Wyoming
So maybe a road trip to get McDonald's
In Wyoming today, save some bucks
All right, let's do show business this morning
Emma Stone really wants to be on the TV show Jeopardy
But not the celebrity Jeopardy
She says she applies every June and they keep turning her down
ABC is the good doctors ending after seven seasons
Check out the trailer for the final season of curb your enthusiasm
After the actressist believer tanked in movie theaters
Director David Gordon Green has departed
The actressist deceiver
And Selena Gomez says she's taking a break from Instagram
Well then she returned less than 24 hours later
So much for that
Cloudy today, highs near three degrees
Cloudy lows around minus nine to night
Partly sunny with a high-deer three tomorrow
See the outlook for next Monday
It's 36 degrees
The outlook for a week from this Tuesday
39 the outlook for a week from this Wednesday is 40 degrees
See there is hope
And of course the Packers over the Cowboys
If you're just waking up you went to bed early last night
Or didn't watch the game 4832
4832
Coming up tonight on WRJN
It's the Greg Garcho
And that will be six PM tonight
He is the coach of the
Man's basketball team for the Badgers
And speaking about the Badgers
They will play tomorrow night
And take on Penn State in Pennsylvania
Seven PM
That's the sports
It's a 616 at WRJN radio
Curred moment coming up with this at 706 this morning
For WRJN historical marker two
We're doing the history of WRJN radio over the next year
And this is our
We just started our 98th year
We just had our 97th anniversary
With a hundredth is coming up
And we want to preserve the history of WRJN
So we'll be talking to everybody
We get our hands on who's still alive obviously
And they'll be be interviewed on the air
And we're going to
I believe the people at the public library here
And Racine said they were archived for us
And I also believe
If I heard it correctly
That Michelle Vetterkind
Who's the CEO and president of the Wisconsin Broadcasting Association
We'll put this on their audio
Museum they have on their website
So we're going to preserve the history
So about a hundred years from now they'll say
Yes, there was something called radio at one time
Do you believe it?
And there was a radio station here in Racine
Here's what they did
Here's a little bit of the history
Who knows what's going to be around now
A hundred years from now
I know I'm not going to be here
All right, let's take a look at our clock here
Oh, it's 617 at WRJN radio
And San Francisco Chronicle reports
That the city planning is ready to spend up to 1.7
Million dollars to design and build a single toilet
In one neighborhood plaza
The toilet will occupy a 100 square foot space
It will take three years to complete
So now I have a reason to go to San Francisco
I don't have a reason before
Now I got a reason to head out there
Actually, I was in there once
I was coming back from Hawaii
And the plane landed at San Francisco and then took off again
So I was...
My feet never touched the ground
But my body was in San Francisco
618 WRJN radio
Home Sound Radio
Refressed to Civic Media Station
WRJN at 1400 AM
99.9 FM in Racine
And 98.1 FM in Kenosha
More to come stay here
Thanks for watching
My baby, he don't talk sweet
He ain't got much to say
But it loves me, loves me
I know that it loves me anyway
And maybe he don't press fine
But I don't really mind
Cause every time he pulls me
I just want to cheer
Let's hear it for the boy
Let's hear the boy hey
Yeah
Let's hear it for my baby
You know you got to understand
Oh
Maybe he's no Romeo
But he's my loving one man sure
Oh
Let's hear it for the boy
My baby, may not be rich
He's watching every dime
But it loves me, loves me
We always have a real good time
At 621 at WRJN Radio
I'm Don Rose
And I want to thank you for joining us
This morning, Clotty Cold
Highs near 3 above today
Partly sunny with a high year three tomorrow
Right now it's minus eight
And Clotty in Racine
And as I mentioned to you earlier
It's going to get warmer by next week
We expect temperatures to be around
36 next Monday, 39 next Tuesday
And week from this Wednesday, 40 degrees
So I mean, we are looking kind of good
Eventually
All right
Don't get much me time
If you have kids, obviously you don't
A lot of parents don't
Hear me time happen
A poll of 1,000 parents found
Most have resorted to hiding out in the bathroom
Just to get away from everything
Over 60% say they've done that
Hiding in the bathroom to get away from the kids
Here are the top 10 things parents consider to be me time
Watching TV
All this is without the kids, by the way
Watching TV, reading a book
Going for a walk, sleeping
Just sitting in total silence
That's tough with kids
Relaxing bath, catching up with friends
Exerciseing, having a stiff drink
It's sitting down for a nice meal
But that never happens because you have kids
I had one kid
So I was very lucky
I had a very good daughter
And I never had a problem
But some of these families have six or seven kids
How do you do that
How do you handle six or seven kids
Wow, I can't imagine that
I mean, I once had a house with three dogs in
And actually four dogs at one time
And I look back now and say
How do we handle three or four dogs in the house
The four dogs was only a short time
But after that, it was three dogs for years
How do we handle that
Because you can't reason with an animal
At least you can almost reason with a kid
A toddler you can't
I don't know how people do that
There's a couple of
And sits in front of us in church with five daughters
Now they're all grown up
Except for one, it looks, you know, bath bright
Six or seven years old
The rest of all grown up
Wow, and I sit to the guy
You have five daughters and a wife in that house
I said six women, how did you make it alive
I mean, she was
Six women in that house and just you
Boop
He did though
81-year-old woman from Missouri is named Jody Perryman
Recently passed away
And a granddaughter gave her props online
For making your friends and family laugh one last time
You're ready
We did everyone at the funeral
Got their personal Ouija board
In a card that said let's keep in touch
I like that, that's good
If you like visiting actual
Horror movie locations, we've got a whole bunch of them
You can actually go see
And I've been to the first one, the Bates Motel
And the mansion from Psycho
It'll cost you a little extra to see these
Since you're on the universal back lot
You have to buy a ticket to the park
And then take the tram tour
And then take the riding pad
And we'll just stand there
But I don't think it's a real house
I think it's a
We're like all that, if a side
I don't think it's a real house
You can actually see it
If you go on Google Maps
And get into the universal studios
You can move around and actually see the house on that site
The exorcist house in Washington, they see
It's on Prospect Street in Georgetown
And you can also recreate movie history
About launching yourself down the infamous staircase
But yes, there are people to take pictures
In front of the staircase at the end
Where the priest goes out the window and rolls down the steps
And you can take your picture there with them
Michael Myers house from Halloween
It's in South Pasadena, California
And the Bramford apartment building
From Rose Mary's baby
Now in real life it's called the Dakota
And it's a New York City on Central Park West
It has another claim to fame
Kind of an infamous claim to fame
John Lennon was murdered right outside that building
In 1980 on the steps
In Yoko were living there at the time at the Dakota
But yeah, it's the Bramford
In the movie Rose Mary's baby
I see these
Facebook pages people put on
Where they filmed themselves
They take a picture of themselves
In actual sites
That were in big movies like
The Godfather
The actual compound
But the Godfather lived, Marlon Brando and his family lived
It's just a regular street
And you can see where they actually built up stuff
In there to make it look like
You know, it was a big compound
Did everything it was kind of fake
The other one was
They showed scenes from back to the future
Where they filmed them
There was a whole bunch of them on there
They had with Laurel and Hardy
I don't know if you remember an old Laurel and Hardy is short
Where they had to push a piano up the steps
The steps are still there
And people take pictures of them
In front of those steps all the time
So yeah, you can find these movie sites and everything
If you want to, another site if you want to go
There's a lot in New York City
By the way, the Seinfeld opening scene
Where they show as apartment building
That's actually out in California
By the way, it's not in New York City
But the restaurant, he shows
Monk's restaurant is actually
Oh, it's Bill's restaurant
Bob's restaurant, something like that
The restaurant's still there
Now, they didn't shoot inside the restaurant
There's always the outside of it
But you can actually go take a picture of yourself
Mark
What they do is, they don't do it all the time
But for the most part, they try to cover up the name of the restaurant
Because it's not called Monks
Like it is in the TV show
I think it's called, I think it's Bob's or Bill's or something like that
I was at a movie site
Central Park west by Columbus Circle
Is where they filmed taxi driver
With Robert De Niro when he does
Tries the assassination scene of a guy named Palatine
Was it Palantine
Yeah, so he is a whole bunch of movie sites
If you want to go, if you're that kind of person
I am, I'd love to go to movie sites all the time
All right, if a genie came to you and offered you fame
Through social media
Would you take it?
24% said yes, 63% said no
And 14% are insure
But 24% said yes, the auntie is 63% of people said no
They would not want fame
Through the
Through social media
Oh, I just got notified
Yeah, that's right, it's Tom's restaurant
In New York City
I just got actually got a text message
Yeah, it's Tom's restaurant in New York
That's right, Tom's
Sometimes on Seinfeld you can actually see it
Gotta look real carefully though
It's on the left side of the screen
And you have to know what you're looking for
When you see it, otherwise they just show the restaurant sign on there
So
It's a big cold if you're just turning in
You look for a high of 3 degrees
Clotty, lows around minus 9 to 9
Partly sunny tomorrow with 9 to 3
Apparently it's cloudy and minus 8
A week from Monday
A week from today, it's gonna be 36
A week from tomorrow, 39
A week from Wednesday, 40
I keep telling you that, I can give you hope
I couldn't believe it, I was walking at the church yesterday
I thought my face was gonna freeze off
Crack and just freeze off my face
The Packers over the Cowboys
If you missed it last night, 48, 32
They move on
Two more games to go to the Super Bowl
They win the next two, they're in
That's how it works
I'm Don Rosen, 629 at WRJN Radio
hometown radio refreshed as civic media station
Music
Baby, since we never, ever agreed
Are you like the movies and I like TV?
I'm taking serious and you take them wrongly
I go to bed early
It's not funny or not
I friends are saying we stay gonna live
Because I'm a slow man
It's baby I'm fast
I like it quiet
It's all over the shop
But when we get together, it's just over time
Back to the steps forward
I'll take you steps back
A week from together, it's up
I still love the music video for that song
They don't make music videos anymore, do they?
I don't think so
MTV doesn't run, I know that
They run a music video in years
VH1 used to run them, they don't run them either
Okay, she was dancing with a um
Cat, remember the cat?
I think he had a name too
I think it was
I get excited
While I'm doing former cheerleader and choreographer
I believe the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team
She did the choreographer
When we get together, we have nothing but fun
I'm Don Ross in 635
At WRGN Radio, Clotty and Cold
With a high-tier 3 above today, Clotty
Close around minus 9 tonight
Partly sunny tomorrow with a high-tier 3 above
Right now, Clotty and minus 8
You know, it's funny because of my cards
It's minus 11 when I pulled in
Not that I don't know the difference between minus 8 and minus 11
Packers over the Cowboys
4832, they move on two more games
And they're in the Super Bowl
We're going to play San Francisco next week
I'm trying to remember who I heard
I was like, have a sleep
And I heard somebody say something
And I'm trying to remember now
Tonight Greg Guard shows 6 p.m.
But he is the coach of the
The Badgers Boys Basketball team
6 p.m. tonight, tomorrow the Badgers
Men's Basketball team will take on Penn State
at 7 p.m. on WRGN Radio
It's 636
We come together
Baby, it's something now
We lasted this long
You and me proving everything wrong
I don't think we'll ever get our differences patched
I don't really matter cause we're perfectly matched
This step's going
I'll take two steps back
And we come together
But since I'm trapped in you know
It ain't big change
Just enough to revive
And we come together
But since I'm trapped in you step's going
I'll take two steps back
And we come together
But since I'm trapped in you know
It ain't big change
Just enough to revive
And we come together
But since I'm trapped in you step's going
I'll take two steps back
And we come together

Imagine digging in your couch
For your emote and finding this instead
A guy in San Diego
I guess looking for money
And found a 7-foot snake
Hanging out in there
7-foot snake in his couch
They called snake removal service to deal with it
And it was still in the couch
Where they got there
They said it's called a rat snake
Native to Vietnam
So apparently it was someone's pet that got loose
Luckily they're not venomous
Yikes
These children's books, right?
But did you know he released an adult book
Back in 1939 called
The Seven Lady Good Divers
The True Facts Concerning Histories Barist Family
Richard a bunch of drawings of naked people
Only 2500 copies sold
Must be worth a fortune today
Dr. Seuss writing dirty books
I guess that's the end of the world
Here's some signs you might be having an argument
With a bot online
According to an AI expert
They use clunky phrases like weird English
Some points over and over
They respond really fast
And they don't have to handle it
When you quickly change the subject
Something personal
Maybe I will if we get it fixed
One of the guys was saying
You ever go on a website
To buy something
And they want to find out if you're a bot first
So they usually ask you to identify
These series of pictures
They say pick out the stoplight
Then you might have one
Plus pick out the stop sign
And robots supposedly can't do that
So
Doesn't it give you confidence in these cars
They're going to drive them drive themselves
It's in that gonna be fun someday
They can't identify stoplights, stop signs, and buses
The top things that annoy your co-workers
When you get to the office this morning
They include showing up much too late
Doing personal stuff instead of working
Trying to sell them things
Like girl scout cookies
And complaining too much
Even if it's about a boss that everyone also hates
I didn't mind that
People used to bring in their stuff here for their kids to sell stuff
I didn't mind doing that
I never did it but I didn't mind them doing it
Doing personal stuff
That kind of annoyed me sometimes
I don't know why
It was really none of my business because there was nothing this person had to do
But I used to see them going online
Going on Facebook
And I mean it's supposed to be working
Right
And it's supposed to be anyway
How much money would an airline have to give you
To give up your seat and take a later flight
Now they do this all the time airlines
They offer you money if it's overbooked
It obviously depends on where you're going
And whether you would mess up your plans
But with $10,000 do the trick
Or write it for ink.com
Name Jason Atten
One other trip to Alaska with seven family members
His wife and four kids and two other adults
And before they took off, Delta offered him $10,000
That'd be bumped to a later flight
He turned it down
He watched a few other people
Take up Delta on the offer instead
And says his wife is still hungry
He didn't take the den grand
I was going on a cruise once
And
The cruise
The travel agent told us a story
When we were waiting to get on our plane
To get to Florida, to get to the cruise ship
It says he was once with a couple
That took the offer the flight was overbooked
And they took the offer of like $300
To be bumped to a later flight
The next available flight they were told
So they took that offer
The next available flight was two days later
They missed the cruise
They couldn't get their money back from the cruise
All for $300
They lost over $1,000
Because they got greedy
Remember the next available flight
Does it mean the next flight out
Means the next available one
Because they were booked for two days
And by the time they got him out
There really no need to go there
Because the cruise ship had left
And was already somewhere else
And in the world
But it happens
A poll found the most annoying passive-aggressive phrases
They include
You're too sensitive
I'm fine
The most offensive but
Oh, that one annoys me the most
And the word whatever
My daughter used to say that to me
And I said stop saying it
She goes whatever
She said stop it
Whatever
Also the most passive-aggressive text
You can send somebody
It's the letter K I guess for okay
Yeah people say no offense but
Well if you know if that means it's going to be offensive
Right
Well I hate when people say whatever
I can still hear it saying it
She just turned 44 the other day
But I still remember it like it was yesterday
And she was a teenager
You can't do that okay
Whatever stop saying whatever
Whatever
I'm going to call her up and yell at her today
For something she did 30 years ago
Remember you just say whatever
It drove me crazy stop saying it
Whatever
A 90-year-old woman in England
Who has dementia was starting to need constant care
And her family didn't know how they were going to pay for it
Until someone realized
A painting above her bed
Was worth a fortune
It was called a depiction of the Madonna and Child
From the 15th century
They sold it for more than $300,000
And now she had enough money to care for her for the rest of her life
Isn't that nice?
You never know
Never know what's in your house
Hello was only been around since 1883
Now I haven't know the backstory on this word hello
Before the word hello
They used to say oh hey
There was no word hello
And it only came around with the invention of the telephone
Hello before that they said hello
Hello, oh, oh, oh, oh, I think
Alexander Graham Bell or his partners
The first people ever to say hello
And was done over telephone
So what they how did people greet each other
But that's what they claim they said
So back in the early 1800s
During the at the White House
They used to walk up to Abraham Lincoln
Oh, oh, I miss the president
If the word hello wasn't around what they used to say
Couldn't say hi because that's part of hello
You're going to find out
Now that's going to bother me
A poll on Independence Day
Now Independence Day is a long way from from here now
But there was a poll
And how confident are you when you're spelling of Independence Day
Well, one of three people said they have no idea how to spell it correctly
Now I do
And it took me years to figure this out
There were no A's in there
It's all E's so it's Independence with all E's
And then I had no problem
But up until
And be 10, 12, maybe 15 years ago
I was never 100% sure
I am now
Now I know how to spell Independence
Let me take a look
Yeah, it's all E's
But there are not
You fix it
It just stopped in the middle
I was using the curved volumetric
I was using this mouse and it just kind of stopped
In the middle
And now it's like frozen
And
All my stuff is on the computer
And it's the way to get to it
They used to be a mouse here with a wire
But it's not here anymore
They put this in and they got rid of it
Just took it
And there we try to get the battery out of it
Hold on, let's just try that
I've been looking all over this building for batteries
Oh, do you know how to get the batteries out of it?
Yeah
Oh, what kind of battery is it?
A AA
Oh, I get your AA battery
You know where? I'll take it out of the remote
TV remote
Oh, we'll try that
We'll try that during the break
And I get all my comedy stuff ready
You know, that's what happens when you put all your confidence in faith in a computer
One little thing goes wrong
Everything goes wrong
I thought this would be a great day
I went to my driveway, started my car up
It went
You know, I get that first little
It didn't want to wake up this morning
Yeah, you get that one cough
And then it just started right up
And the heat came right away, it worked like a charm
I come in the building
There's just screaming noise in the lobby
I mean a loud screaming noise, nothing alarm
And I'm going from room to room
I can't see your face so I know it's in the lobby
And I can't figure it out
And I'm going all over cause i can't tell where it's coming from
We have a little traveling sign in the lobby
And something was to have-
A little scrolling sign
Yeah, yeah
And it was screaming, I know I'm plug it
Plug it back in again, that's how you usually fix those things
But I didn't know where it was coming from
Wow
Then I had to come in and shovel the walkway
Because they came yesterday, but it blew back
So I had to- I broke my shovel in from home
I had to shovel the walkway this morning
Cause no one's here where I come in
But got it all done

We do have tickets again
We gave a pair of tickets away to dial-m for murder
At the Racine Theatre Guild on Friday
We have a pair to give away this week
Not today, but we will give away this week
It's for this Friday nights
No, it's a week this Friday nights performance
So we have another pair to give away to that
That should be fun
Body and cold with a high-deer three
Head your car start this morning
Oh, beautiful
Oh, you have a new car
Yeah, that's about a year and a half old
Yeah, that's new
Mine is from 20...
My 12 years old
Well, see, mine won't try to turn over because it's a hybrid
So when you push the button to start it, it's a lecture
It's not a lecture again
So it just kind of hums
I am just...
By the way, I brought my car and again the oil change
And they actually videotape
A checkup on the car, do you know that?
No, they videotape it
And they say, if you want to see it, just go to your phone
So I was sitting in the waiting room
And I went to my phone and saw the guy doing the checkup
And he said, you car is an excellent shape
Just your axle has a problem
Well, that's not an excellent shape
I'm going to leak it in the thing
It's not important right now
Now anything with the axle is important
But anyway, it says it's a great shape
So just, you know, change the oil
So it doesn't, you know, freeze up on you
Packers over the cowboys if you're waking up
You see the game last night?
All right, I...
Pretty exciting
I couldn't, I can't take the tension in these games
San Francisco, by the way
It is San Francisco
Yeah, that's what I thought
I was half asleep and I heard them say, next time
San Francisco
This year we're going to San Francisco
Packers over the cow, oh, your kit lives out there
Yeah, he'll be here this week though
30-2 more games, 2 more wins
And they're in the Super Bowl
Don't get too cocky though, things can change
I'm at 9-649-WRGM
Home chat radio refreshed, a specific media station
Music
Looking in your eyes, I see a paradise
This world that I found is too good to be true
Standing here beside you
Won't so much to give you this love in my heart
And I'm feeling you
Let them see what's crazy
I don't care about that
Put your hand in my hand
Maybe don't ever look back
Let the world around us
Just fall apart
Maybe we can make it
We're hard to part
And we can build this thing together
Standing so forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of numbers
We'll still have each other
Nothing's gonna stop us
Nothing's gonna stop us now
I'm so glad I found you
I'm not gonna lose you
Whatever it takes
I will stay here with you
Take it to the good times
See it through the bad times
Whatever it takes
Is what I'm gonna do
Let them see what's crazy
What do they know
With your hands around me
Maybe you'll never let go
Let the world around us
Just fall apart
Maybe we can make it
We're hard to part
And we can build this thing together
Do you remember the three names of this group
Nothing's gonna stop us now
They had three names
They started out with one name
Went through a second name
And then they had a chance
Jefferson Airplane
Right
Jefferson Starship
The group members claimed
He owned Jefferson
So they had a change of that
And a quick story at Jefferson Airplane
My dad was
He repaired pumps
For big buildings
And back in the mid-67
I guess
I went to work with him during the summer
Sometimes
And he had to do work at the Fillmore East
In Laura Manhattan
And they had a big crane
Holding a biplane
From the top of the crane
And it was promoting Jefferson Airplane
At the Fillmore East
And it's acute and everything
But you've been into New York
And a crane in the middle of the street causes traffic problems
And traffic problems
They go way back
Blocks
And so there were two things people don't like
They live in New York
Construction and Parades
Because they clawed traffic
And they were talking about the smaller Parades
Where they get permits to close down streets
But a Jefferson Airplane was there
My dad, I went backstage
And here I was standing on the stage of the Fillmore East
I didn't appreciate it at the time
Because it wasn't what, you know
The legendary thing it is today, Bill Graham's Fillmore East
He had a Fillmore West out in San Francisco
They had two of them
So it's kind of the only other stage I was on
I was backstage at the Palace Theatre
When George M was performing
Oh, okay, yeah
And I remember the stage manager said
You could stay right here
Stay back here
And you'll be fine out of everybody's way
But you see people scarring around
Changing a Sir Joe Gray
And I got to interview Joe Gray in the 1980s
And I said to him in 1968
And I was backstage watching you with George M
He goes, I love doing that show
He loved musicals
He loved doing them
So I got to see him
You know, I was 13, 14 years old
When we were backstage at the Palace
I went to a lot of famous buildings
And one story I was all going to tell
I didn't get around to it
My dad was doing a job in a high rise
And the problem was above this one particular apartment
That belonged to Leonard Bernstein
Did you tell you this story?
I don't think so
Okay, so it belonged to Leonard Bernstein
And he had to get into the ceiling
So just to check something
To check where the problem might be
He said, I got to stand on your toilet
He said, no no no no no no no no
So when it Bernstein sat there on the rim of his bathtub
Talking to my dad the whole time
And my dad said when my son's got a band
And he placed with some pretty big groups on these coasts
Like Benning King, Rubin and Romanax
The charelles, the chiffons
And he said, that's fabulous what instrument does he play
Say, well, the guitar but he can play organ
He can play woodwind instruments
He can play a lot of stuff
And the edge of his, my father was standing on the toilet
Bernstein was sitting on the bathtub
And he said the apartment had a white grand piano in it
And he said, you know, it was one of these magnificent apartments in New York City
But yeah, he stood on Linda Bernstein's toilet bowl
Talking to the Maestro himself
Nice. And he said he could have been nicer
All he did was want to talk and ask about my brothers
And of course, Linda Bernstein in the news now because of the movie
Yeah, with Bradley Cooper and what's her name Carrie Mulligan
Yeah, did you see it?
Not yet, no, I'm looking forward to it
I would hope it would be in theaters now
It is going to be shown at Marcus theaters because they show all the now
If it's an Academy Award nominee, they'll show it
And then we'll show it in the theaters
But I think it's trying to, it started that on, was it not Netflix?
I forget what channel it's on
It's one of those they made it for
Didn't hear much about it, I heard him being interviewed about it
But that was about it
But I would love to see that movie
Maestro, I wonder if they have the scene where my dad's on the toilet bowl
And we all know my dad
I'm sure it was a pivotal moment in Letter Bernstein's life
And well, it was part of his history
And you know my dad and mom were featured on television in a way
Yes
And my PD blue, I do remember that story
My father's, one of his, my father raised pigeons all his life
And one of his favorite things was
He used to get together with the pigeon people
And one of them was a guy forget his name
Bill Clark was one of the guys
He used one of his pigeon people
And he used to meet on Sundays and just sit there and watch and talk pigeons
And Bill Clark was a New York City detective
And he was asked to
Tell about his exploits and he became sipowits on the show NYPD blue
And one of the stories, he became executive producer
And one of the stories on NYPD blue involved
Older couple like it's beaten up
And the woman dies but the husband does not
So he said it's a small role
And he wanted my parents to come out and watch his house
Well, he went away on vacation
And he said while you're out here
I want you to film that scene
I want you to both be in it
And my parents didn't know they won't
And so he said you're sure because you'd be perfect for it
You know he's dead on a stretcher
And all you do is have to moan
Like you know where I'm
So they wouldn't do it
Six months later he says he calls my dad
Turn on your TV tonight
Watch NYPD blue
And it was the second episode with Rick Schroeder
And the lady on the stretcher
Was Harriet Rosen
And the husband who lived
On the store was Arthur Rosen
And Rick Schroeder comes out
And says who are these people
They're the Rosen's
Arthur and Harriet Rosen
People calling us say
Hey, I saw your parents on TV
No, you didn't see
No, you didn't
You thought you did
It hurts here for a reason
It's our historical marker number two
It's coming up at just a moment at WRC
